Aug 27, 2023: Bright Saturn Shines Opposite the Sun

Tropically speaking, in Mundane Astrology, because karmic Saturn, lord of many realms such as: Time, reality, authority, responsibility, accountability, maturity, wisdom, restriction, control, limits, borders, form, structure, consolidation, old age, conservatism, blockages or obstacles, loss, the status quo, The Establishment, the system, and laws, opposes the Virgo Sun on August 27, 2023, we can be certain that the word perigee will pop up all over the internet any minute now. Already has done, in fact!

For on that day, the Earth passes between Saturn and the Sun, a cosmic event that contains all manner of advantages for astronomers, but for Stars Over Washington's purposes, let's settle for a DC Horoscope set for August 27, 2023 4:28 am edt which is when my astrology program calculates an exact opposition between Sun and Saturn. Chart factors and astro-notes are thus generated, some of which are typed below the following Horoscope with astro-notes scribbled upon the image for your consideration.

The notes include the 'PE' in the 7 North Saros Series during which the Saturn perigee 2023 occurs, highlighted in orange, in 10th house @29Ari50 - conjunct the January 6, 2021 insurrection's Mars position and, as I've noted in previous posts, this lunation also times a "birthday eclipse" for Herr Adolf. Then will bunker boy sit up or merely roll over?

Meanwhile, the 7 North eclipse's throwback to J6 Mars increases potentials in August 2023 for zealotry, violence, and/or criminal actions - hopefully blocked by Saturnian forces! - such as those perpetrated on that day when the US Congress was assaulted and its work of certifying the 2020 Electoral College Vote for Joe Biden was disrupted for a few hours.

So to me it seems significant that the Vertex ('VX') in the August Horoscope @23Sag37 (5th house) points toward a fated encounter of some kind, perhaps legal, which concerns the 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 @23Sag08 as what I've termed the Electoral College Vote 2020 Eclipse which 'justified' in the delusional Geminian mind of the orange albatross the 'Big Lie' he has used to aggravate his followers and certain politicians into storming the Capitol Building and the US government - strong feelings which Herr Trump continues to use for what he considers to be his financial, legal, and political advantage (see lower right corner). For as everyone knows, he is a desperate man determined to 'get away with it'.

Yet we should take heart for there is a bright note (perigee Saturn will be bright and large so close to Earth!) because Astraea, asteroid of Justice, directly opposes the Vertex and the 4 South Eclipse, as you see. Come on Justice Department, put on your Saturn cap and do the right thing! And if a Trump indictment is to be, then let it be:

Also of interest, is that the Sun @3Vir50 conjuncts the Progressed New Moon ('SP') of Herr Trump, a symbolic life passage timed by his SP New Moon which perfected on September 16, 2019 @3Virgo with its "white power" implications (see above chart, upper right).

Then remembering that America was founded under Sun-Saturn square energies which in part describe the need to develope maturity as the US ages rather than relying on the superficiality and unreliability that our institutions have often been accused of - plus, our 'worship' of youth and disrespect for wisdom - general potentials within the Hegelian form of the Sun-Saturn duo include:

Thesis: Form and definition in an enterprise; the will of the people as defined in the principal founding documents; the checks and balances within enterprises as implemented by various administrations.

Antithesis: Pessimism and gloom as a center focus of policy; unreasonable centralization of authority in one location; a leadership preoccupied with the various forms of law enforcement; older and more distanced leaders.

Among other topics, perhaps the ongoing campaign by Republicans to tinker under the hood of the US Constitution will be part of the scrutiny as the Sun and Saturn oppose one another in August 2023.

Previously on SO'W: Shadow into Light: an Esoteric Department of Justice showing its Dedication Horoscope of 1934 (by FDR) where we find DOJ Uranus Rx @29Ari21 conjunct its Syzygy Moon (28:31), and DOJ Mars @4Virgo. Now as you know, these create cosmic time links to the above positions particularly to the karmic 7 North Eclipse for when Uranus is involved, the karma attached to eclipse themes is intensified, positively or negatively, while adding a touch of 'brotherhood' to the cosmic mix. A final thought: Therefore, it seems the time has come for the DOJ to spear the snake as depicted on the building's outside panel which is why my reference to an "esoteric" Department of Justice. And we both know exactly who the snake really is. jc

Horoscopes: DOJ 1934 with AG Bill Barr Confirmation

June 25, 2020: Below is a bi-wheel of the Department of Justice (DOJ) Dedication Horoscope of 1934 (inner; Masonic ceremony led by FDR; '3:00 pm' - D. Ovason) with Bill Barr's Senate confirmation horoscope of February 14, 2018 (at approximately 1:05 pm est Washington DC - my thanks to mundane astrologer Gary Lorentzen for the timing). The partisan Senate confirmation vote was 54 to 45 for "the cover-up general" so that scofflaw Trump would be shielded from answering for his crimes and could more easily continue his nasty habit of overstepping the traditional limits of Executive power. Basically, Barr was installed in order to save Trump's shall we say bacon.

How many threats of retaliation were delivered against any senators considering a vote against Barr I cannot tell you but in multiple spots in the horoscopes you'll find mention of career-ending associations with certain dark elements of society, including the criminal syndicate/procurement variety. See particularly the dark green highlighted notes in 10th house and on the right (via rounded-up Sabian Symbols for the 2019 ASC-DESC axis degrees; also see the MC's symbol, the WHY? Point, top right, "18Sag").

And note that Opus Dei agent Barr's confirmation occurred a mere 4 days prior to the DOJ Uranus Return, number three of three (dates penned on chart, in blue), during what continues in 2020 and beyond to be 'a titanic power struggle' between global forces -> Pluto in Capricorn opposing Pluto in Cancer with the 2019 North Node ('NN") pointing toward 1934 Pluto, and the 2019 SN (aka, 'tail of the dragon') swiping 2019 Pluto. So considering our titanic topic is it curious that the pairing of Pluto-NN is sometimes known as the "tiger by the tail" aspect?

Now here's an article about the alleged genesis of Barr's 'job application' memo but to cynical me (as a former resident of Washington DC!) this all seems a big old set up especially since Republicans knew very well what Bill Barr was and is capable of perpetrating to keep a president in office: William Barr's Unsolicited Memo to Trump about Obstruction of Justice in which Barr criticized the Mueller investigation of Russian interference in the Trump campaign and "questioned the scope" of the investigation. But perhaps we can agree that the "obstruction of justice" has been on the Barr-Trump-Republican side.

Horoscope: DOJ Progressed Full Moon August 2020

May 8, 2020: Below is a dual image of the Department of Justice ('DOJ') dedication ceremony horoscope accurately timed by the Masonic dedication ceremony presided over by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, elected hour set for 3:00 pm est on October 25, 1934 (lower left chart). Upper right is the 1934 dedication horoscope progressed (day for a year) to the moment of the DOJ Progressed ('SP') Full Moon @28Can39 opposing DOJ SP Sun @28Cap39. As you know, this is the Cancer-Capricorn security-ambition/home vs career polarity.

Now if it's true that an SP Full Moon of person or entity represents how far such person or entity can reach into the world, then symbolically August 2020 is it for the US Justice Department. Not that the DOJ will cease to exist but that its influence and power in society will peak then begin to fade from here on out. Of course, much depends on whether the imperatives and objectives of the previous SP New Moon (exact March 15, 2006 @13Cap57 opposing US natal Sun, the leader--then representing George W. Bush) have been successfully fulfilled. If not, the culminating SP Full Moon marks an end of those efforts and a decision or plan to adopt a new direction and new objectives.

In 2006, perhaps the related event that stands out is the Bush administration's controversial, unprecedented sudden dismissal of 7 US attorneys perpetrated on December 7, 2006. Personally I remember how shocking and disorienting this was for our country and for the department itself. And it's possible that with corrupt Attorney General William Barr now protecting corrupt Donald Trump, more sudden dismissals of US attorneys (and other separative, disruptive activities) are on Barr's DOJ agenda in 2020, the year cosmically imprinted upon by the symbolic SP Full Moon of the DOJ across the Cancer-Capricorn axis. Of course, calls for Barr to step down are being more or less ignored by these men with bad intentions against our nation so we'll have to see how that goes.

A difference is that at the 2006 SP New Moon, SP Neptune in Virgo represented 'high level intellectuals and planners who acted as a supportive resource' for the DOJ, thanks to their beneficial trine relationship. Obviously, such support is sorely needed now and many have stepped forward already, some calling for Barr to step down, as noted. See DOJ Alumni Call for AG Barr to resign. Thing is, the SP New Moon horoscope shows SP Neptune Rx at SP IC (undermining), Uranus-Neptune = ASC (anxiety) = US natal Jupiter (rejuvenation!). Plus, there are unfortunate signs of underworld connections (SP Venus-Pluto opposition) which is what we notice as we watch Trump, Barr, and their comrades in action - plundering the resources of the USA and undermining our systems and institutions such as the DOJ, legal system, and Congress. Meanwhile, transit Pluto in Capricorn helps with their plan for structural collapse - as do the continuing influences of the 2018 Tower Eclipse.

Yet hope springs eternal! So maybe August 2020 or thereabouts will miraculously bring Bill Barr's resignation and thus a more traditional path for the DOJ which could qualify as a 'new direction' compared with the off-kilter trail of stones figurehead Trump has embarked us upon. And/or a Trump resignation would happily cause dancing in the streets, now wouldn't it?

However, other than America's return to a more traditional path, (and I don't care to type it but) the events and projects that began around the destabilizing time of the DOJ's SP New Moon in late 2006 into 2007 seem to be successfully culminating in or about August 2020 as timed by the department's SP Full Moon perfecting under the purview of AG Bill Barr on behalf of con man Donald Trump - and their idea of a 'new direction' is so far proving to be a tragic course for the disenfranchised American people, a course leading to the tyranny of plutocracy, monarchy, dictatorship.

Additional Chart Notes include but are not limited to:

Sun-to-Pluto and Moon-to-Pluto implications in the SP Full Moon horoscope: one reveals power needs and a need to grasp control, plus, new perspectives being revealed (Sun), the other suggesting zeal and intense self-application (Moon). Also in the 1934 chart is the DOJ's Saturn Stationing in Aquarius (in 12th house of Politics, Large Institutions, Self-Undoing, Karma) conjoining health asteroid Hygeia which to me may symbolize our current crisis conditions in which health issues (Hygeia) are used by authorities (Saturn) to stop the functioning (Saturn) of society - all very Saturnian and karmic.

At SP Midheaven ('MC') is the radical Uranus-North-Node midpoint suggesting teamwork that pays off (as it often does) in career efforts (MC); the SP Uranus-Pluto midpoint conjuncts DOJ 1934 Moon denoting enforced changes upon the populace. That the SP Full Moon chart shows SP Neptune at IC depicts the current instability at the foundation of the DOJ; and penned on the chart is SP Mars = SP Jupiter-Neptune, the speculation-inflation-grand-scheme duo suggesting that someone has laid plans without prospect of coming to fruition but who has an urge for great achievements. Hopefully, 'spoiled plans' and 'stymied achievements' describe the corrupt mob-like activities of Barr, Trump, and comrades, both foreign and domestic. Meanwhile, Trump's natal Jupiter @18Libra conjoins SP Full Moon Mars so we find him playing at the POTUS role via feigned and staged performances. But you already know this, don't you?

Transiting Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn

Highlighted in green (left middle), you see the current heavyweight trio of transiting Jupiter-Pluto-Saturn (18 to 27 Capricorn) all retrograde and forming a midpoint picture of 'total reversal of plans, extreme changes and reforms, ideas transformed into reality', and/or 'restriction'. Restriction in August tallies with the themes of the 4 North 2020 Summer Solstice Eclipse under which the DOJ SP Full Moon will become exact. 'Misjudgment of strength or the situation', plus, 'events that block' and 'separation and illusion' are also themes of 4 North solar eclipses (Brady).

Finally, a note about a prominent, angular (chart not shown) August 20, 2020 transit (2:36:31 pm edt Washington DC) and that's an exact opposition between Moon (20Virgo) and Neptune (20Pisces) which reveals deceitful practices and those who scheme underhandedly against their opponents. Perhaps this relates on a deep level to the fact that the SP Full Moon's MC (@14Pisces29) sports the SP Uranus-North-Node midpoint (teamwork, as noted) but also the natal Neptune of the Republican Party (1854) with their nebulous Neptune's Sabian Symbol: "A Woman in FOX Fur." Teamwork!
