This post is a second look at the Spring Equinox 2024 Horoscope, again set for Washington DC. Unlisted is the Vertex ('VX') of fated encounters which falls at a Cardinal World Point of Manifestation: 00Can11 in the 8th house of the chart which qualifies as a cosmic time link with the 4 North Solar Eclipse @00Can21 on June 21, 2020 with themes of "restriction; restraint; illusion; separation; misjudging strength or the situation' (B. Brady).

Obviously, year 2020 is prominent for America in particular because it ended with the 4 South Electoral College Vote Eclipse of December 14, 2020 @23Sagittarius (near Trump's natal Moon/SN) with its "strong emotions over finances and/or relationships; sudden urge to end unions; blocked emotions; sense of fatedness; events beyond control; avoid rash action" (paraphrasing B.Brady). And as we know, these frustrated energies gave rise to "The Big Lie."

So as you see for year 2024, there's a prominent, emotional Moon-Pluto opposition (astro-notes penned on the chart, upper center) with Pluto @1AQ39 in 3rd house leading a BOWL shape (advocating for a cause along with Altair, the eagle star of empire) while combative Mars @27AQ46 conjuncts the IC of Domestic Scene and suggesting the quarrels, anger, and a potential for violent acts which Campaign 2024 could bring - but no one needs Astrology to tell them these possibilities:

Now for astrologers who use a late afternoon horoscope for America (July 4, 1776), Mars @26AQ46 conjuncts US Moon in late Aquarius which adds another level of belligerence and aggression to the Spring 2024 Moon-Pluto picture. Plus, as you know, a Spring Equinox Horoscope may be utilized for an entire year but also for a quarter of a year with the Summer Solstice 2024 Horoscope "taking over" in June. Yet obviously, an overview of both charts, plus, Autumn EQ and Winter Solstice will provide the broadest picture of an entire year into the next.

As an example, society has continued to operate under the auspices of the Winter Solstice 2023 Horoscope since last December and will continue to do so until the above March 19th horoscope "takes over" the reins, so to speak. Well, planetary positions do morph into one another don't they, as round and round they go, cycles within cycles.

Then last but not least, the above foundational position of warrior planet Mars diametrically opposes the natal Mars @26Leo46 and rising of Mr. Trump and reveals a year of hitting his head against a brick wall (due to irrational/unreasonable desires, as echoed above in my the Moon-Pluto opposition notes), with his ideas, plans, and aggressive actions meeting the equally determined forces arrayed against him.

And all under the influence of the 7 South Solar Eclipse which manifested on October 14, 2023 @21Lib07 with themes of "crisis," or, "a huge obstacle suddenly clears" with everything seeming to "move at great speed" (B. Brady) - and in Libra, the sign of the Scales of Justice.

Today, April 20 2023, "Little Adolf," the Austrian psychopath turns 134 years old in his grave, wherever it may be. But to be more specific, his Solar Return 2023 actually perfects tomorrow, April 21, 2023 at 6:02:11 am CEDT in Berlin with his natal Sun (00Tau48) conjunct Phaethon rising (unprepared for leadership and Sun at a degree of violence).

Radical planet of anarchy, sedition, and zealotry, Uranus, rises in his 2023 Solar Return 1st house @17Tau52, one degree beyond Herr Adolf's natal Venus-Mars conjunction @16Taurus+, a planetary duo active during our Midterms 2022 Lunar Eclipse when 'maga' Republicans managed to take over the House of Representatives.

In fact, Republican Rep. Jim Jordan has been in New York City showcasing his maga efforts for Trump, and a Trump-appointed judge has handed Jordan a legal gift which only adds fuel to the orange monster's gas tank for more 'Big Lie' gas lighting ahead.

Yet none of the above are reasons for this Friday post.

What I want to share with you is that while reading about the rise of Herr Adolf, I came across the name of the media baron, industrialist, and politician who, among others, aided the Austrian's rise to power. Soon sidelined, his name is Alfred Hugenberg. Holding multiple official positions in the German government, Hugenberg helped Hitler become Chancellor on January 30, 1933, Germany's first goose-step toward Nazism. Yet Herr Hugenberg, who had studied law and economics, had lost his political clout with Hitler by the end of 1933 but continued serving as a "guest" member of the Reichstag (parliament).

And like other of Hitler's early enablers, Hugenberg miscalculated bigly that Herr Adolf would be easily controlled once in power. Might this be echoed by certain assumptions made by the Republican Party in 2015 and 2016 concerning you-know-who?

Now if the initial support of publisher Hugenberg for Hitler (until Alfred was tossed aside!) reminds you of Murdoch for Trump (until Trump turned on Fox News toward the more conducive outlets, NewsMax and OANN - while actually it was more a case of Murdoch turning against Trump for not conceding his 2020 loss) - then basically we're on the same history-rhyming page. Parallels and cosmic time links exist between the two men for a curious seeker to discover, not the least of which is the repetition of Rupert's natal 4 South Eclipse on Electoral Vote Count Day 2020.

So subsequently, an idea ocurred to me to look for Alfred Hugenberg in the back of The Sabian Symbols in Astrology (M.E. Jones #ad) and there he was: birth time and all. RM Moon @24Sag08 conjunct AH natal Midheaven-Jupiter Rx (publicity, plus, money via publishing); instinctively, Rupert knew what had to be done for his natal Moon was 'eclipsed' by the 4 South Eclipse of December 14, 2020 when sore-loser Trump's belly-achin' shifted into overdrive. Driven by desperate motivations from near and far, sensitive old Donald refused to concede, and he was, and remains, bu*t-hurt.

RM 4 South Total Prenatal Solar Eclipse @27Lib46 (October 21, 1930) conjunct AH natal North Node - and conjunct Hitler's natal Ascendant. Now as you may remember, 4 South ('strong emotions over money and/or relationships; frustration; ending alliances' - B. Brady) is the series in which the Total Electoral Vote Count Eclipse manifested on December 14, 2020 @23Sag08, and which functioned as a cosmic signal for promoting the resentful, vengeful Herr Trump's 'Big Lie' that allegedly 'justified' his violent coup attempt of January 6, 2021 against the US Congress - not to "stop the steal" but to perpetrate it.

Aug 27, 2023: Bright Saturn Shines Opposite the Sun

Tropically speaking, in Mundane Astrology, because karmic Saturn, lord of many realms such as: Time, reality, authority, responsibility, accountability, maturity, wisdom, restriction, control, limits, borders, form, structure, consolidation, old age, conservatism, blockages or obstacles, loss, the status quo, The Establishment, the system, and laws, opposes the Virgo Sun on August 27, 2023, we can be certain that the word perigee will pop up all over the internet any minute now. Already has done, in fact!

For on that day, the Earth passes between Saturn and the Sun, a cosmic event that contains all manner of advantages for astronomers, but for Stars Over Washington's purposes, let's settle for a DC Horoscope set for August 27, 2023 4:28 am edt which is when my astrology program calculates an exact opposition between Sun and Saturn. Chart factors and astro-notes are thus generated, some of which are typed below the following Horoscope with astro-notes scribbled upon the image for your consideration.

The notes include the 'PE' in the 7 North Saros Series during which the Saturn perigee 2023 occurs, highlighted in orange, in 10th house @29Ari50 - conjunct the January 6, 2021 insurrection's Mars position and, as I've noted in previous posts, this lunation also times a "birthday eclipse" for Herr Adolf. Then will bunker boy sit up or merely roll over?

Meanwhile, the 7 North eclipse's throwback to J6 Mars increases potentials in August 2023 for zealotry, violence, and/or criminal actions - hopefully blocked by Saturnian forces! - such as those perpetrated on that day when the US Congress was assaulted and its work of certifying the 2020 Electoral College Vote for Joe Biden was disrupted for a few hours.

So to me it seems significant that the Vertex ('VX') in the August Horoscope @23Sag37 (5th house) points toward a fated encounter of some kind, perhaps legal, which concerns the 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 @23Sag08 as what I've termed the Electoral College Vote 2020 Eclipse which 'justified' in the delusional Geminian mind of the orange albatross the 'Big Lie' he has used to aggravate his followers and certain politicians into storming the Capitol Building and the US government - strong feelings which Herr Trump continues to use for what he considers to be his financial, legal, and political advantage (see lower right corner). For as everyone knows, he is a desperate man determined to 'get away with it'.

Yet we should take heart for there is a bright note (perigee Saturn will be bright and large so close to Earth!) because Astraea, asteroid of Justice, directly opposes the Vertex and the 4 South Eclipse, as you see. Come on Justice Department, put on your Saturn cap and do the right thing! And if a Trump indictment is to be, then let it be:

Then remembering that America was founded under Sun-Saturn square energies which in part describe the need to develope maturity as the US ages rather than relying on the superficiality and unreliability that our institutions have often been accused of - plus, our 'worship' of youth and disrespect for wisdom - general potentials within the Hegelian form of the Sun-Saturn duo include:

Thesis: Form and definition in an enterprise; the will of the people as defined in the principal founding documents; the checks and balances within enterprises as implemented by various administrations.

With nary a study note penned upon it, below is President Joe Biden's current Jupiter Return Horoscope set for June 24, 2014 and operative until his next Jupiter Return (actually a three-fer return in 2025 and 2026) in Jupiter's 11.6-year cycle of reward and expansion.

This is a printable copy which includes the Return's aspect grid where we see that Mr. Biden's Jupiter is at the bends and thus denotes issues that must be dealt with with (square the Nodal Axis in the Aries-Libra polarity: karma between family vs external relationships/the public; his Catholic religion is also involved). Then as you see, Jupiter is posited in Return 5th house of Risk-Taking, Creative Pursuits, and Children, and receives a sextile of opportunity from the Taurus Moon (Biden's natal Moon = 00Tau59 in natal 5th house - conjunct Herr Adolf's natal Sun so Joe instinctively understands what were the Austrian dictator's possessive, intolerant, materialistic Taurean goals).

Additionally, Mr. Biden's Jupiter inconjuncts Return Midheaven @23Sag21 suggesting that career adjustments have been needed by Mr. Biden in order to attain his Jupiterian goals of political leadership. Perhaps this represents on one level his rise from VP to POTUS which may have been his goal all along! Then if we use the Return Midheaven as a point where Moon-Jupiter's sextile energies ('a ray of hope' - A. Oken) can be beneficially released and utilized, a YOD pattern appears, and women's issues (Moon-Jupiter) become part of our political, social, and religious dialogues and must be dealt with, as noted, in the visible 10th house. This fortuitous cosmic condition of the sextile has helped Jupiterian Joe Biden to triumph over Herr T's 'Big Lie', a negative Mercury-Neptune square condition of misguided perception, falsehood, fraud, and fantasy-spinning.

YOD Pattern of Crisis and Opportunity

Moon sextile Jupiter points toward Return Midheaven and shines a cosmic spotlight upon the karmic December 14, 2020 4 South Eclipse @23Sag08. As it turned out, 4 South's vibes of discontent and the 'desire to end relationships' hasn't only been on the side of the brutal Tr*mpians, but also describes the December 14, 2020 electors doing what the rest of us wanted: voting Joe Biden into the White House.

Because, as you see in the Return 2014 chart, President Biden's Jupiter Return Midheaven @23Sag21 was conjoined by the Electoral College Vote Eclipse of December 14, 2020 in the discontented 4 South Saros Series - on the day that the Electoral College Vote elected Mr. Biden, and the one that Tr*mp and his comrades (what's left of them in late 2022) can't stop squawling and grousing over how 'rigged' and 'stolen' the 2020 Election was. My guess: Herr T must be the mouthiest sore loser in the world.

Well, if Election 2020 was stolen, this common-good Southerner admits to being heartily thankful that modern day fascists and neo-nazis have received gracious helpings of comeuppance for the sake of democracy - at the recent Midterms 2022 Elections and in November 2020!

Yet we know that it's not the time to abandon our pro-democracy efforts since barbarian coup plotters certainly aren't done causing trouble, division, upheaval, violence, and strife in our country. For example see The Dangerous Eclipses of 2023.

Joe Biden, Democracy, and the Democratic Party

As for our Democratic President Joe Biden's Jupiter in Cancer 'Mothering the World', this resonates closely with democracy's protective and nurturing functions, and with the asteroid that signifies democracy: Ceres - which also represents the mother archetype! Obviously, contrasts may be made with the Republican Party's tendency toward strong-armed paternalism and misogyny against women but such musings are beyond the scope of this post.

So! DC Horoscope: Spring Equinox 2015 and the 'Prez Bid' New Moon of Misfortune

As a cosmic signpost on America's path toward troublesome authoritarian issues of which Trump is merely a figurehead for what is actually a global fascist movement, anyone who expects the venerable practice of Astrology to explain when America's 'Trump Troubles' got up and running might appreciate the Spring Equinox 2015 Horoscope when the Sun hit the Aries Point of world events (an annual event) and conjoins Scheat, the star of misfortune.

Yet as you see in the horoscope, below, there's another feature of the Sun's entry into Mars-ruled Aries in Spring 2015: a midpoint picture formed that year with potentials for 'effective illusions and deceptions; a noted magician performs (M. Munkasey); and/or 'danger of infection; weakness' (R. Ebertin), among other possibilities upon which the Spring EQ 2015 Sun shone and activated. And perhaps, dear reader, we may agree that these potentials have been applicable to events during these last 7 years along with several other planetary factors you see here:

US Mars-Neptune Square On Display: Misguided Actions, Confusion, Fog of War

Ascending is America's natal Neptune with transit Neptune in Pisces opposing (clash of ideals, persecutions), square Midheaven, the Goal Point, conjunct US 1776 Mars in Gemini; Hour of Jupiter (in green, in Leo, and Rx in 11th house) with Jupiter prominent as the handle of a Bucket shape and ruling 4th and 7th houses. As you see, the IC @23Sag05, the Basis or Foundation of the Matter, presciently holds the 4 South Solar Eclipse which occurred on the day of the December 14, 2020 Electoral Vote Count, and lies at the heart of our turbulent, mercurial, Uranian Trump Troubles due to his sore loser 'Big Lie' refusal to accept reality.

Then Mercury in shady Pisces as chart and Midheaven ruler reveals the significance of communications, information, propaganda, oration/rhetoric, trade, commerce, and education to the proceedings with one applying aspect by quicksilver Mercury from its 6th house position (conjunct veiling Neptune: "The Illusionist" when conjunct - A. Oken) - and that's an opportunistic sextile with power planet Pluto, the saboteur. Meanwhile, the conjunction in 6th house points toward Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square of "The Sneaky Mind" (A.O.). Also see the center of the chart with Mercury inconjunct Jupiter: distorted perspectives (supported by unaspected Venus' unusual perspectives and loner status), plus, a tendency toward grandiosity: ya think?

So one reason to post this horoscope in September 2022 is to note that Trump's 'prez bid' New Moon @25Gem07 conjunct Mars (violent, headstrong) which perfected on the morning of June 16, 2015 occurred within the Spring 2015 season (and is listed on the chart, middle right, highlighted in orange, like a fake tan on an old man). Of course, you remember the morning of his Escalator Descent at Trump Tower NYC to announce his 2016 campaign for president to a paid audience, $50 a head, to express his vile bigotry as a signal to "his people".

Uranian Trump

Now this 2015 Gemini New Moon fell between Trump's 10th house Uranus-NN-Sun trio in Gemini and it started a cosmic clock (New Moon, new cycle) by activating the degree of the 1781 Discovery of Uranus, America's totem planet of freedom, independence, rebellion, protest, disruption, and - most importantly to Trump - chaos.

And America has been yoked to the orange blighter ever since.

Previously on SO'W: Trump's 'Prez Bid' Solar Eclipse @29Pis27: 17 South which perfected March 20, 2015 at 5:36 am edt (hours before the chart shown, above) with karmic Saturn Rx at Midheaven, often a 'downfall' indication if timekeeper Saturn's demands for responsibility, accountability, and doing one's duty are ignored.

And such is Donald Trump.

America's initial Saturn-Pluto Cycle

Saturn-Pluto: Fanaticism and Turmoil Against Rigid Structures

To my surprise, the horoscope of America's initial Saturn-Pluto Cycle which began November 21, 1750 sports '23Cap47' rising, a sensitized degree which brings up the January 12, 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction @22Cap46 - along with the natal and karmic Vertex ('VX') of one Donald Trump (22Cap51). Perhaps you agree that our current conditions feel like a double Saturn-Pluto emphasis now bedeviling society, led by an orange-hued figurehead who simply refuses to go away. Recognizing evil when we see it is one part of this cosmic picture, and the practice of Politics, corruptly done, provides decent folk with multiple opportunities to recognize evil each and every day.

Yet for about 1/3 of the US population, the orange blighter is a real pied piper, only fit for fussy fascist-minded fanatics - with fanaticism, violence, and victimhood showing in the horoscope, below.

One example is the Moon in fussy Virgo conjunct victim star Zosma); listed upper right is the fact that 1750 Luna conjuncts September 2016's 19 North Eclipse of "realism" and "tackling the truth," a promising eclipse which had the misfortune to be opposed by transit Neptune in Pisces, a planet of deception, fraud, and the gaslighting that was used to muddy all waters, erode facts, and disguise pathological liar Trump the grifter as being suitable to inhabit the Oval Office. Sad to say, he was, and is, not:

Now in the 1750 horoscope, there are other cosmic links to Tr*mp's natal planets for those who care to look, and there are a few chart factors which simply must be listed here. For instance, as noted above, the Moon @8Vir49 reflects the Prenatal Solar Eclipse (19 North) which brought along both the 2016 Election (selection, with Russia's help) and the 2017 Inauguration of the orange blighter whose current plight is our plight, more's the pity. Of interest may be a view of the dual horoscopes of the 1993 Clinton Inauguration and the cuss'ed 2017 Inauguration with its Scorpio Moon of betrayal. (You know, like seditionists and traitors do.)

Curiously, the 1993 Inaugural Moon conjuncts the 1993 Saturn-Pluto midpoint suggesting potentials for 'strong control over people's habits' (Munkasey) and/or 'a tragic destiny for women' (Ebertin). Naturally, the antiquated opinions of Justice Samuel Alito and his reactionary comrades come easily to mind although from 1993, it took the backward misogynists 29 years to overturn Roe v Wade. Yet happily, the Court's bizarre opinion has brought out women voters by the droves! (Did you hear that in Florida, DeSantis' list of banned books now includes The Handmaid's Tale? A brazen attempt to hide his true dystopian agenda for women all barefoot and pregnant, it appears.)

In addition, the Syzygy Moon prior to the 1750 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction falls @21Tau21 (4th house) conjunct a certain asteroid Phaethon, a figure who tends to take on more than he's ready for in similar fashion to the Icarus myth. Wouldn't it would be fabulous in 2022 and beyond if GOP neo-fascists and nazi-wanna-bes turn out to be doing just that - taking on too much so that failure results? However, we should add that the Sabian Symbol for the 1750 Ascendant ("24Cap") is quite descriptive in a handmaiden sort of way: "A Woman Entering a Convent" and yet it hints at "a deep-stirring challenge" (Jones). So it's to the polls, ladies!

Then around the IC of the horoscope (@17Tau16) you see both a solar and lunar eclipse listed. One is the current solar eclipse season we're now in since April 2022, the 6 North (@10Tau28: 'relationship to authority figures; the need to take control'), which spotlights the Uranus-Neptune midpoint of 1750 (@10Tau43, 3rd house) with the planetary pair's 'One World Government' vibes (aka, 'New World Order'). This Full-Moon-to-New-Moon synchronicity suggests major potentials for information revealed or leaked, most likely during the House's series of public hearings concerning Trump's J6 coup attempt. As you know, the J6 public hearings are scheduled to open on June 9, 2022 with the 'Flag Day' Full Moon perfecting 5 days later.

Now perhaps you'll lament it, but lots of my study notes are squooshed upon the bi-wheel charts for the curious, plus, a few notes are added to the text below the image. You'll note that the shared emphasis on the rounded-up degree of the 2020 4 South Eclipse and the June 2022 Full Moon seems significant for current events on Capitol Hill as Trump's loss on December 14, 2020 is 'reflected' upon, discussed, and probed:

However, Herr T's Solar Return 2022 actually perfects on June 13th at 7:26:15 pm edt with the SR Moon @15Sag34 in the Balsamic phase of Endings perhaps by tying up loose ends. "16 Sag" = "Sea Gulls Watching a Ship" and this word picture seems quite appropriate to me when it comes to the lunar masses and the media watching the orange blighter's every move - which way will the ole tugboat list? However, this discrepancy is a cosmic quirk and may not dampen the Full Moon's influence overmuch, while emphasizing the squares from deceptive Neptune which possibly undermine his vitality, affect his health, yet seem to inspire him to promote self-dealing lies and fraudulent schemes.

Yet it's the aspects to his natal Sun that gain prominence in his Solar Return 2022 chart, and there are two: transit Neptune continues to square his Sun-Moon opposition (wavering alliances; leadership, integrity, and honesty questioned; a sense of unreality attached to his image; domestic troubles; health issues, as noted), and a helpful trine from authoritative Saturn supplying donations, legal and other counsel, and support to keep him at the head of the GOP (the 'Guns Over People' Party) while he raises large amounts of money by pretending he'll run again in 2024.

So as you know, America has everything riding on the outcomes of the J6 Select Committee's public hearings so my plan is to support them however I can while awaiting the legal involvement of the DOJ. How about you, dear reader?

Perhaps it's an insignificant cosmic time link or echo when the Full Moon of June 14, 2022 @23Sag25 culminates directly upon the December 14, 2020 Solar Eclipse in the difficult 4 South Saros Series (23Sag08) with its themes of 'strong emotions over money and/or relationships, sudden desire to finish a relationship', and 'frustration, and blocked emotions - avoid rash actions' (B. Brady). Naturally, you'll recognize the 2020 4 South as the Electoral College Vote Eclipse (DC Horoscope shown), and perhaps we can agree that rash actions were not avoided by certain malcontents.

Full Moons Can Behave Like Lunar Eclipses, New Moons Like Solar Eclipses: Mix with the Karmic Nodal Axis!

So for your consideration, below is a messily notated DC Horoscope of the Full Moon of June 14, 2022 (inner chart - to emphasize the Full Moon's house cusps) with the earlier occurring 4 South Eclipse of December 14, 2020 surrounding it (outer) which could represent a culmination or fulfillment of some kind in relation to the 2020 Electoral College Vote for Joe Biden, and the sore loser's Big Lie which has been used ever since to sabotage America, gaslight the American public, and undermine our election process.

When considering planets that affect Politics, politicians, and society, mundane Saturn is prominent on many levels. The karmic planet's restrictive function activates within many realms of life including financial matters and lawmaking, with Saturnian reality and what should be maturity undergirding it all as Saturn the taskmaster demands that rules be upheld. Either positively or negatively, lessons will be forthcoming and a Saturn Return times such life lessons for us all, even for a scofflaw like Trump.

Jettisoned from the White House on January 20, 2021, Saturnian folk now attempt to hold the out-of-control Herr T accountable for his past actions, which now must include his brazen theft of items and records from the White House as he skulked out the door, records which belong in our National Archives where Saturnian presidential records are traditionally kept. Predictably, it's always with the retaliation and revenge by ace grudge-holder, Trump, with his natal Mars rising opposing the US Moon of We The People!

Meanwhile, America's enduring of a Trump regime with all its scofflaw effects upon Saturnian laws and traditions compelled yours truly in 2018 to take a look at the man's Saturn Return and its influences as he ran and grabbed the White House (2015--2017), then exhibited his clumsy, kleptocratic form of Saturnian control and responsibility while playing a thespian's role as "POTUS" (2017--2021). And while he may deny it, you and I both know that accountability must come along with Saturn's authority figure and manager roles yet Mr. Trump 'doesn't do so well' on those scores, as a majority of Americans can agree. Then his resounding political loss in November 2020 told the tale even though he has yet to admit his election drubbing, with 'loss' as another Saturnian concept along with flaws, blockages and obstacles.

We may also note that the Sabian Symbol of his Saturn degree ('24Cancer') when negatively expressed is, "a devastating sense of ineptitude and estrangement from reality" (Jones). Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square with its fantasy-world spinning and tendency toward deception and malicious scheming aids him mightily in his drive to escape reality. However --

Will Legal Eagle Saturn Have the Final Smirk?

So! All this to say that in September 2018, I published here The Saturn Return of Mr. Trump: Authority Challenged which displayed the third of three of his Saturn Return Horoscopes of May 24, 2005. 'Good for' 28 to 30 years, we can divide the three-fer time frame into approximately 9-to-10-year increments in relation to life phases, his starting in 2004. Doing this suggests that he's now acting within the second decan (10 years) of his current Saturn Return until sometime during election year 2024. Then the third phase begins and contains influences from the YOD pattern, see below.

Now in 2022, a determined (and desperate to escape accountability) Herr Trump continues to have trouble with his Saturnian functions and refuses to give up what he deems to be a continuation of his 'authority' and 'control' of the White House as he expresses from way down in Mar-A-Lago what he considers to be his political power. Cultishly, minions and thugs continue to do his will though some of the smarter ones have dropped away.

Oh Look! It's a Plutonian YOD Pattern

So to me, this absurd, engineered condition of authoritarianism within the US power structure points out the critical importance of Mr. Trump's Saturn Return which was actually a three-fer affair that became exact on September 4, 2004, *January 14, 2005 (Rx; see below), and, as noted in the 2018 horoscope linked above, May 24, 2005. Then if we consider recent events such as the Electoral College Vote for his rival Joe Biden on December 14, 2020, the day of a difficult 4 South Solar Eclipse @23Sag08 ('strong emotions over money and/or relationships' - B. Brady), plus, the violent events of January 6, 2021 intended to keep power in his tiny, grabby hands, it seems more than a little interesting that Trump's third return chart of May 24, 2005 shows a YOD pattern (crisis, turning point, crossroads, special task, and/or karmic/spiritual opportunity) with a Mercury-Saturn sextile at its base. Note that a Mercury-Saturn sextile suggests setting priorities, managing resources, and/or chafing against restrictions (which he does so well). Of course, this marks a Mercury-sextile-natal-Saturn transit for Trump indicating a favorable time to prepare future plans, and - a warning here - perhaps an opportunity to receive recognition of his authority and experience.

So which is the third planet sitting at apex of the YOD? Why, power-craving Pluto Rx @23Sag41 in Trump's Return 2nd hou$e. And significantly, this happens to be the degree of the 4 South Electoral College Vote Eclipse of December 14, 2020. Negatively speaking, such a plutonian/eclipse influence represents serious karmic setbacks and criminal offenses. Well, yes. We've noticed.

Now my suspicion is that the Mercury-Saturn-Pluto vibrations of the YOD pattern within the realms of Saturnian authority and accountability are what Mr. Trump can expect going forward and its potentials could very well affect him in the 2024 Election, if the 'flight risk' runs for office at all. For if legal eagle Saturn has his way, by 2024 or before Trump may be running in the opposite direction from Washington DC.

So let's read the YOD's trio of planets as a midpoint picture to see what possibilities are suggested:

Mercury-Saturn = Pluto: 'brooding over one's destiny; grappling with unusual problems' (R. Ebertin); 'serious incidents provoke questioning official communications'; 'ending business with others due to communications breakdowns' (M. Munkasey); 'contemplating loss; fearing wipe-out; abandonment; feeling resourceless' (N. Tyl).

Well, I don't know about you, dear reader, but I can think of more than one of these potentials which apply to the authoritarian Mr. Trump, a fellow who can hardly be described as representing the ideal of a man who takes karmic Saturn's demands seriously enough to satisfy them - but perhaps we should count the fact that, at the ripe old age of 75 going-on-76, he is most definitely, and not very much more than, an old man.

In light of recent and current secessionist-type events, the DC Horoscope of the April 12, 2022 Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction @23Pis58 is hereby re-published just to add the point that the day of their bubbly, speculative conjunction is also a day of the Solar Return 2022 of the Civil War which began under deceptive Mercury-Neptune influences on April 12, 1861 with the Sun @22Ari27. (Of course, explosive, warring Mars-Uranus also had a hand as on the day of Inauguration 2021.)

Of interest is the Sabian Symbol of the Sun's rounded-up degree of '23Aries' = "A Woman in Pastel Colors Carrying a Heavy And Valuable But Veiled Load"; "Keyword: RETICENCE; positive expression: the unimpeachable integrity of the man whose fullness of life becomes a practical contribution to the circumstances in which he dwells; negative (unconscious/shadow side - jc) expression: a disinclination to participate at all fairly in everyday living." Now for me, this last relates to secessionists then and now to which I'd include obstructionist congressional Republicans, those radical reactionaries who long for a regressive America in the pre-Civil Rights and pre-Voting Rights days because they assume it can soothe their bigoted world view and support their alleged "supremacy".

Now we should also add the Sabian Symbol for the Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction of April 12, 2022 @24Pisces which is notated messily in the center of the horoscope but I'll also type its potentials for you below:

'24Pisces' = An Inhabited Island"; "Keyword: CULTIVATION; positive expression: achievement through a creative opportunism or inventiveness of exceptional order; negative expression: snobbish complacency and self-indulgence" (Jones). Is this a NYC island, perhaps?

Energies of Jupiter-Neptune when combined can certainly appreciate self-indulgence between Jupiter's expansion principle and Neptune's urge to merge and become lax or slack, plus, the planetary duo suggests several other potentials, both positive and negative, such as:

'Visions, dreams, mysticism, idealism, the grand spirit, the 'Big Lie', corruption, theft, veils, disguises, pretense, loss of reality, compassion, inspiration, fraud, get-rich-quick schemes, speculation, inflation, bubbles, instability, loss, political conflicts, sabotage, vast deceptions, increased gaslighting, gain without effort, abundant feelings, expansive creativity, tricks of the eye or ear, art interests, impressionability, easy seduction, scandal via instability, the wrong diagnosis, foolish surmisings, shoddy conditions, Utopian illusions (used to break down society), neglect of ethics, confusion, senseless doctrine, hypocrisy as a form of internal policy, a degraded legal system based on favors and pay-offs, unfounded legal situations or theories, churches espousing a moral philosophy for all (rather than one based on each believer's conscience), vague excuses, overlooking the faults of others, unexplained events or miracles, worn out or inefficient forms of publicity, and/or myth-making.

America 2022: Violence vs Democracy

These days, it seems that there are two basic types of people in the world: those who value human life, and those zealous few who don't mind stealing life from other people especially if it advances their selfish cause.

Last January we saw them in action on Capitol Hill when they followed Herr Tr*mp's orders and marched to the Capitol Building where the mob breached the Masonic temple and viciously assaulted US Congress members, their staff, government workers, and those whose job it was to protect them - and that with the complicity of maliciously scheming Republican congress members and their enablers behind the scenes such as financial donors and corporate types. The 1/6 'MAGA" insurrection was Herr T's revenge against those who were certifying votes and tossing him from the Oval Office. But as you know, both the certification and The Toss were accomplished.

However, as many people agree, the orange menace is not yet done plaguing our country (his Mars rising in vain Leo opposes US natal Moon of We The People) so here's today's editorial by Alex Henderson, Fears of a 'civil war' are growing as MAGA chooses 'violence' over democracy.

Meanwhile, I still cheer for royal Regulus which rises with warrior Mars in Herr T's natal chart (assuming his birth time of 10:54 am is accurate on the morning of June 14, 1946 Jamaica, NY). You remember the 'caution' of Regulus, right? Yet we know that Tr*mp was born with expansive Jupiter at Station so he never acknowledges a boundary, limit, rule, tradition, or taboo!

Horoscope: Washington DC's Progressed Full Moon

A Holiday Message for SO'W Readers and Patreon Supporters: Since Christmas week is here, this may be my final post until after December 25th celebrations so I wish to send a Merry Christmas! a Happy New Year! and a very large Thank You All! for your generous patronage that helps defray the costs of SO'W, your loyal readership of SO'W, and your insightful comments and observations all through the year! If you've never taken a look at the Horoscope of Washington DC (May 3, 1802; Sun 12Taurus, Moon Taurus or Gemini) why not check it out? In this post, I'm using Secondary Progressions ('SP') to find the position and date of the current/upcoming Progressed Full Moon/s (the city's next Lunar Phase) of DC (my former city of residence) and have used two timings for the 1802 chart to do the progressing: 12:00 am LMT (ASC 19Cap43) and 12:00 pm LMT (ASC 20Leo37) since no exact hour of DC's founding is known - although 'noon' may be closest to an actual occurring event on that day, if tradition counts. The founding date of May 3, 1802 is the earliest incorporation date that the District became a city although you may prefer other timings, including the version with Aries Point rising. Your choice!

2021/2022: Secondary Progressions of Washington, the District of Columbia

If an SP Full Moon of person or entity represents as far as can be safely extended into the world, then details concerning DC's SP Full Moon should be informative. These are:

Washington DC May 3, 1802 12:00 am LMT: SP Full Moon @16Gem35 June 8, 2022.

Washington DC May 3, 1802 12:00 pm LMT: SP Full Moon @16Gem35 December 8, 2021.

So as you know, Secondary Progressions use the day-for-a-year method and with these two charts, the Zodiacal position of the progressed ('evolved') Full Moon is the same - 16Gem35 - only the dates differ. Obviously, the 12:00 pm dated Full Moon has already passed on December 8th, in fact, but the 12:00 am date arrives in the midst of a Midterm Elections year so the political campaigns and primaries are sure to grab most of the air in any room and naturally, news rooms will be perking on full boil, commerce and ad sales in full swing. Tons of junk mail and emails are on the way, folks!

Plus, it remains to be seen, but it looks now as if President Biden's Build Back Better legislation will be taken up in early 2022 (if not before). If so, the city's SP Full Moon of June 8, 2022 may be the more operative horoscope. Transit note: a Full Moon perfects on or about June 12, 2022 @23Sag25 which spotlights the city's SP Chiron (23Sag04) and echoes back to the problematic 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020, the day of the Electoral College Vote for Joe Biden; themes include 'frustrated emotions over money and/or relationships', 'relationship events beyond personal control', a 'sense of fatedness' to events, and a caution to 'avoid rash action until issues settle down' (paraphrasing B. Brady). Yet as we saw on January 6, 2021, some folks are not heeding any caution at all because many of them were, and are, under a Moon-Neptune influence.

As For Secondary Progressions

Now you know that fixed stars are never used with progressions (stars' positions are 'fixed', progressions are symbolic) so let's skip to considerations of the rounded-up Sabian Symbols ('word pictures') for both degrees of the SP Sun and SP Moon, then add a few notes concerning the Fire-Air, 'Mercury-Jupiter' Sun Sagittarius-Moon Gemini combination of conscious and unconscious energies (solar = leaders; lunar = the people). As you see, the charts' SP midpoint pictures ('pix') are listed and highlighted in blue with one midpoint picture rising along with SP Saturn in the upper right chart progressed to June 8, 2022.

Plus, the lower left chart (SP to December 8, 2021) has notes squished upon it but the upper right image (SP to June 8, 2022) has been left relatively unruffled by my messy scribblings. Additionally, one thing you'll notice right away is that, except for the obvious differences such as house cusps, most of the factors listed are the same in both charts unless otherwise notated. Meanwhile, quick mention should be made of the Moon-Venus inconjunct which suggests potentials for vanity, superficiality, and a need to be reassured by popularity polls. The aspect also denotes an attraction to fickle partners which invites betrayal! However, betrayal can flow in both directions. (A. Epstein).

So what we seek here is an updated (from 1802!) cosmic picture of an 'evolved' capital city of Washington DC (representative of America) but what's missing in this post are the planetary transits for the date and hour of each chart. Hopefully you may be interested enough in this topic to view the transits for yourself and add them to the SP charts:

SP Sun Sagittarius-Moon Gemini is a 'live-wire' Fire-Air blend full of zeal and ideas and is ruled by the Mercury-Jupiter duo of planetary energies. A motto could be 'knowledge vs wisdom' with connections easily seen between apparently unrelated things. Logic is preferred over emotions and a wide range of interests are followed. Mischievously wicked, this blend suggests intellectual curiosity, communication skill, and an inventive, self-absorbed demeanor. My closing thoughts are that 'archery' reminds me of America's traditional symbol of the Eagle with 13 arrows in its talons (representing the original 13 Colonies, if memory serves) along with the association of the Robin Hood mythology of robbing the rich to give to the poor - and a REBIRTH on this level, if accomplished, would bring some measure of balance to our perilously unequal society and this is precisely what I believe the Biden-Democratic agenda intends to do if Republican regressives would stand down, stop idolizing the past, and join in with America's future endeavors and much needed improvements awaiting implementation.

Winter Solstice 2021 Horoscope: Jupiter "at the bends"

October 1, 2021: As you can see in the Winter Solstice 2021 Horoscope, below, Pisces rises and Jupiter in Aquarius rises and rules the chart and the winter season. However, Jupiter @28AQ36 makes no applying aspects to other planets but is square the Nodal Axis and thus is at the bends - with South Node, a sacrifice or an offering is implied. Plus, Jupiter square the Nodal Axis suggests people whose social, religious, and ethical attitudes and aims are out of harmony with the society in which they live. Of course, expansive Jupiter contains multitudes so malcontents and zealots are not the only folk this Jupiter may represent. So if I were you, I'd include corporatists in one bunch or another along with military types, religious leaders, broadcasters, politicians, and, in Aquarius, humanitarians and philanthropists. Hopefully, a Jupiterian word, some form of protection will be afforded with Jupiter rising.

Winter Solstice December 21, 2021 10:59:08 am EST Washington, DC

With the Solstice Sun @00Cap00:00 falling within the 10th house of Career and Public Status, America's national reputation is on full display - and subject to scandal. Contained in the 9th house of Higher Education, Philosophy, and Foreign Lands, is activist Mars @5Sag47 conjunct the separative South Node of the Moon, an indicator of loners who tend to act independently (and possibly violently) but may also represent those who question the military values of our country (9th house = abroad) and, as has been the case for decades, of overblown defense spending (at the expense of the public's needs). So it looks as if the GOP won't be giving up their political advantage over the Biden administration through their criticism of the Afghanistan withdrawal or of other military and security policies into 2022. Sore losers can be that way.

Now as you see rising in 1st house are oceanic Neptune @20Pis31 suggesting large or mass events, probably involving water and/or storms or other weather-related events. That wounded healer Chiron rises as well is not lost on me yet I've no idea what this may entail unless healing is part of the compassionate Neptunian picture. Hopefully, any goodwill expressed will be genuine rather than superficial.

A 5th House Moon in Cancer

Highlighted on the chart is a YOD pattern with apex Moon @27Can01 (opposing US natal Pluto) in the 5th house of Risk-Taking, Creativity, and Children. This pattern sometimes indicates crisis conditions (which we know we have) and can also be a health indicator. Naturally our thoughts go to Covid infections and to innoculations which are said to be coming for younger children possibly by the end of the year. Either way, children, women, and families are spotlighted by the 5th house Moon in her own sign of Cancer. That the Moon opposes US natal Pluto (or is opposed by it) hints at extreme feelings, possible domestic difficulties, and the pairing makes objectivity and taking a positive attitude crucial for best results. Also we must guard against giving in to faulty assimilation of impressions that lead to self-defeat! (B. Tierney).

Meanwhile, YODs may also denote turning points, special tasks (with correct timing a key issue - the Moon is an excellent timer), and/or karmic opportunities for progress. Whatever is suggested here, the Moon at apex of a YOD pattern puts Lunar folk in the spotlight for taking positive, well-timed actions despite any emotional traumas of the past which cloud their perception of current reality.

Cosmic Blinks of Disruption: Solar and Lunar Eclipses

Ruling 2nd hou$e via Aries and 9th house via Scorpio, this 9th house Mars activates the Lunar Eclipse of May 26, 2021 @5Sag and the conditions and circumstances of that time period. Perhaps you remember that the May 26th Lunar Eclipse gave clues as to society's emotional reactions to the difficult 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020, the day of the 2020 Electoral College Vote. Well, you know very well what issues are involved from the 2020 Election, no need to type them here.

But time moves on and Winter Solstice 2021 falls within the 5 New South Eclipse Series which manifests on December 4, 2021 @12Sag22 with benefits promised. (The 12Sag Eclipse is in 9th house of this chart conjunct Midheaven although it isn't penned upon the chart - and the Midheaven is unaspected by any planet so the beneficial themes of the eclipse may be the objectives of the winter season!) Heads up to those who use a US Horoscope with Sagittarius rising around 11/12Sag because this personalizes the December 4, 2021 Solar Eclipse to the US and implicates Jupiter as even more significant in this Solstice 2021 chart since the Great Benefic rises - and rises at 28AQ36 conjunct the people's Moon in the 'Sag rising' horoscope of 1776. This transit is meant to be a happy time of life unless other planetary factors interfere with or mitigate the positivity of a Jupiter-to-Moon transit. Considering the Winter Solstice 2021 Horoscope I'd say that our prognosis is mixed which means that political, financial, and other social tussles and negotiations continue through the winter season but with some benefits attached as Year 2021 ends and 2022 begins.

However, you may be pleased to note that only one mention of Tr*mp is marked on the chart - his natal Jupiter (@18Lib27 in his natal 2nd hou$e and Stationary) conjunct the Winter Solstice 2021 8th cu$p. And of course you know the Sabian Symbol for "19 Libra" = "A Gang of Robbers in Hiding." Very appropriate for the career grifter.

Now admittedly, there are many more chart factors of note (Mercury in Capricorn, the common-sensical yet possibly fraudulent "Mercury-Jupiter" on the Angles, the ongoing Saturn-Uranus square of old order vs new order, Saturn working in isolation, testy Mars leading a steamy Locomotive revealing him to be a ruthless, high-powered executive driven toward success, etc) but, mea culpa, I cannot possibly mention them all in this text. Therefore, penned on the chart for those who wish to read them are my study notes.

Yet before this post ends, mention must be made of the intense 11th house Venus-Pluto Conjunction in Capricorn, sign of government, law, business, and investment. Here is a paraphrasing of the Hegelian Thesis-Antithesis model from Michael Munkasey's book, Midpoint: Unleasing the Power of the Planets (#ad) by which we may find that the Venus-Pluto duo pretty much sums up the majority of what I've typed, above. And of course you know I must mention that "Thesis" = conditions set up on purpose so that solutions("Antithesis") 'must' be implemented just as ivory tower social tinkerers intended to do in the first place - with the aid of certain politicians, media figures, and other compromised actors who have been bought off and don't mind betraying America on behalf of a vicious global authoritarian movement, as we now see:

Antithesis: Attracting elements of organized crime; breakdown within the social fabric of society; volcanic activity which destroys financial or agricultural centers.

September 29, 2021: Below is Thom Hartmann in a segment from his broadcast posted to YouTube yesterday (9.28.21) in which he discusses the Federalist Society's John Eastman memo (link to text, below) which laid out the Federalist-backed plan for crazed Tru*mp to seize the presidency and remain in power ad nauseum come January 20, 2021.

Thom notes similarities between the 2020 Election and the controversial election of Republican Rutherford B. Hayes who was aided in seizing the power of the presidency by 'win at any cost' enablers. If curious, you'll find a link below to a previous posting of the Hayes Inauguration Horoscope in which a cosmic time link turns up between then and now!

Because as you'll see, the Prenatal Solar Eclipse of the Hayes Inauguration fell into the 4 South Saros Series and a 4 South eclipse repeated on December 14, 2020 - the very day of the Electoral College Vote Count which, as it turned out on January 6 (7), 2021, was won by Joe Biden, a life-threatening outcome of disaster for you-know-who.

And that particular 2020 Electoral College Vote Count, as you know, led to the very vote counting and certification event in Congress that Tr*mp's 1/6 mob attack ("Stop the Steal") was intended to delay for a few hours so that, as Kraken Powell asserts, Justice Samuel Alito could allegedly intervene and, in time, insert his anti-American judgment to make Tr*mp president for life with the help of VP Pence, of course. But Mike Pence balked, as you know, when advised that his ceremonial VP-ship didn't possess the power for such power-grabbing tomfoolery.

And, similar to 1877, we should mention that the December 14, 2020 4 South Eclipse is the Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') of Inauguration 2021 and would have been its PE, no matter who was inaugurated. The 4 South eclipse themes of 'strong emotions over money and relationships' with 'a desire to suddenly end relationships' (B. Brady) would have influenced events in one way or another. For example, it was Tr*mp's relationship with the White House that ended - and ours with him. But he's rather like the rubbish boyfriend who just keeps calling, isn't he? No, the mobster hasn't give up and his neo-n*zi comrades, foreign enablers, and the anti-American corporatists who fund the global authoritarian movement are regrouping their forces for their next planned onslaught against America. For as you know, the years 2022, 2023, and 2024 are naturally the key time frames for their next power-seizing attempts prior to Inauguration 2025 (horoscope shown - assuming there is an inauguration).

Thursday August 5, 2021: Having intended for some time to post a bi-wheel of the January 6, 2021 "Stop the Steal" Rally of Tr*mp that began at 9:00 am est along with the natal horoscope of Rep. Mo (Morris) Brooks (R-AL) who began the rally with a rousing speech at 9:00 am, you see below a quick posting of the charts in bi-wheel form.

Circled and listed on the image are contacts between Mo's speculative 9:00 am natal chart (with no accurate birth time for Mo, I'm using that hour to "sync" his psyche with the prominent event in which he participated on January 6, 2021, obligatory as it may have been - see North Node square Moon, lower left), we find that a major influence created a double Moon-Neptune affair ('delusion about the popular support of current policies' - Munksey; 'strange influences' - Ebertin). And we see that the rally's Sun @16Cap28 spotlights Rep. Brook' natal North Node of public contact while opposing his natal Uranus-South-Node conjunction (war, revolution).

Solar/Lunar Eclipses Knit Together December 2020 and May 2021 and Beyond

April 27, 2021: As you know, the Lunar Eclipse that accompanies a Solar Eclipse provides clues concerning our instinctive reactions to the karmic situations and conditions associated with the previous Solar Eclipse. The current 'cosmic blinks' fall into the Gemini-Sagittarius sector of the Zodiac with its Mercury-Jupiter influences that spotlight logic, reasoning, mental agility, fluent communications, morals, ethics, and the search for ultimate truth. All this as "the big lie" and its spawn continue to undergird the anti-democratic objectives of the Republican Party and sore losers cause nothing but trouble.

So while society remains under the auspices of the difficult 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 @23Sag08 (until about the June 10, 2021 Solar Eclipse, listed, lower right on the chart - conjunct the former guy's natal Moon-SN) which manifested upon the very day of the 2020 Electoral College Vote (the GOP's political bone of contention), here's a look at December 2020's 4 South Eclipse with its karmic themes of 'strong feelings over money and/or relationships; a sudden desire to end relationships' (Brady), plus, the accompanying Lunar Eclipse of May 26, 2021 @5Sag25 which significantly conjuncts, reflects, and reveals transiting Nemesis (@17Sco43 in December) conjunct the eclipsed Moon. Both eclipses are Total, thus bringing strong influences upon conditions and events.

Planet Mercury (highlighted in green), is out-of-bounds ('OOBs') in both charts, isolated from input by the rest of the planets, and opposing its Sag position of 2020 by the time of the 2021 Lunar Eclipse, when it's happier in its own sign of Gemini, as you see. Obviously, potential shifts in communications and planning are denoted along with changes in other realms ruled by Mercury such as commerce, education, and young people's concerns (increased innoculations?). Changeable Mercury is chart-ruler in May (ASC 26Gem24) and as such, applies to a dramatic inconjunct with powerful, wealthy Pluto (adjustments are needed), a pleasant conjunction/meeting with Venus, then speeds on to trine expansive Jupiter in compassionate Pisces (conjunct MC and benevolent Fomalhaut!) bringing uplifting ideas and plans, some perhaps of the 'big picture' variety.

Note that in December, the Virgo-Pisces polarity is intercepted, a karmic implication suggesting veiled factors being hidden from view but which must be dealt with. My suspicion is that the May 2021 Lunar Eclipse conjunct the Saturnian South Node (of the Moon) indicates that best results can be attained when past hurts and festering grudges are let go so that forward progress can be made and new opportunities embraced. This would be the wisest way to respond to the difficult conditions and events heralded by the December 2020 4 South Eclipse. Yet not everyone can manage to do this. I refer to the May Eclipse's Midheaven holding high asteroid Niobe (the grieving mother) along with the Saturn-Neptune midpoint of suffering, illness, loss - and the social safety net programs so many of us need right now.

Now at critical degrees in both charts we find Mars, planet of energy, action, motivation, and conflict, in 2021 squaring his 2020 position in his own sign of Aries and indicating an unfavorable period for decisive action, a lack of cooperation, and lending a forceful, determined air to what are very busy proceedings. There's a decidedly masculine influence pervading activities which may lift slightly with Mars in Cancer, sign of family and home, although in emotional Cancer, the potential for fiery anger often increases - especially for those with hot tempers - while the square brings blockages, frustration, and delay. Plus, significantly, Mars is the planet of police and military men and at the Lunar Eclipse, asteroid HOPI joins Mars with its ambush and/or prejudice vibes. The two stars of Gemini also join in - Castor and Pollux - so that 'murder, cruelty, crippled limbs, mental illness, and/or sudden fame or loss' (A. Louis) continue as possible outcomes in certain situations especially those involving (rogue?) police officers or the military (deployed and coming home: Cancer). Meanwhile, we should be aware that difficulties, conflicts, and hostilities could peak around the first week of June 2021 when Mars and Pluto oppose one another across the Cancer-Capricorn axis, a cosmic suggestion that interfering with the status quo will be more unwise than usual due to the tremendous, forceful energies within the Mars-Pluto combo along with the Lunar Eclipse conjunct Nemesis and leading a Locomotive shape of planets which indicates a 'high-powered executive ruthlessly determined to achieve success'.

Update April 28, 2021: Advancing the chart below to a 9:00 pm edt start-time puts President Biden's natal Mercury, planet of communication, speeches oration, and messages, squarely upon the Ascendant, raises the Sag Moon closer to the Ascendant, and plops 3Virgo14 upon the Midheaven ('4Virgo' = "A Colored Child Playing With White Children") which spotlights both health and employment matters (Virgo), plus, the racial issues implied by the degree's Sabian Symbol. April 15, 2021: As you've heard, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has invited President Joe Biden to address a pared-down Congress on April 28, 2021, the day before the end of the President's first 100 days in office and one day after the Full Moon @7Sco06. His address is not being billed as an official SOTU (State of the Union) Address since that's traditionally delivered after a full year in office, but we all know that basically, a SOTU Address it will be. Therefore, I'm labeling his speech as a "pseudo-SOTU."

Below is a speculative 8:00 pm edt DC Horoscope set for April 28, 2021 Capitol Building with an abundance of planetary factors squished upon the chart for those who may care to enlarge the image and read the study notes of a novice astrologer with a lamentable interest in the Politics as practiced in the City where she once resided:

Solar Hour (Sun = the leader), regenerative Scorpio rises (the WHAT? Point), and Sun-ruled Leo at Midheaven (The Goal or WHY? Point) provides us with basic information concerning the address. The Scorpio Ascendant (forceful 'Mars-Pluto') spotlights the "A Drowning Man Rescued" degree which I believe will be one of Mr. Biden's themes of the night involving finances and mask-wearing in order to save lives. And as you see, the "Drowning Man" (ASC) is the apex point of a YOD pattern (highlighted in green = crisis; crossroads; karmic opportunity; special task) formed with a Chiron-North Node sextile at its base. The sextile includes wealthy MIDAS conjunct Node Node in the 8th house of Corporatism, Credit, Debt, and High Finance, plus, priestly Chiron is the wounded healer, here @"11Aries" = "The President of the Country" (Joe!). Opposite the 8th is the 2nd house of the National Treasury with Nemesis Rx (an unbeatable foe) pushing into the proceedings via the separative South Node, a (neurotic) Saturnian point of 'methods that worked in the past but now do not'. I'm counting this 3rd house Saturn @13AQ02 as 'conservatives' and obstructionists such as Republican opponents who work hard to block Biden's progressive, more liberal plans as seen in the Saturn-Uranus square (2A27; highlighted in blue at the bottom of the chart).

For as you know, Saturn-Uranus is the 'old order vs new order' pair of planetary energies. Yet confounding GOP efforts against him is the fact that their old friend Joe Biden is a liberal with conservative leanings so he can be signified by 'old man' Saturn in futuristic Aquarius. Notably, an apt midpoint picture reveals plutocrats who crave power - Jupiter-Pluto - conjunct restrictive Saturn so that 'the big picture must be adjusted to meet with more convention' and 'strategy becomes necessary' (Tyl). This would apply to the Biden administration and Democratic Party as well as to the GOP. As practiced, US Politics is always a high-stakes game and curiously, the public Moon at "6Sag" = "A Game of Cricket': 'exceptional competency in crisis' (Jones).

Also in 2nd house of Money and Values is the current Solar Eclipse which perfected on December 14, 2020 @23Sag08 (Electoral College Vote day) in the difficult 4 South family of eclipses. You know 4 South's sour themes: 'strong emotions over money and/or relationships; blockages and frustrations; relationships suddenly ended; a sense of fated events beyond personal control' (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology #ad). Hopefully, the former guy's belly-aching and malicious schemes concerning his 2020 Election loss will continue to fade away or perhaps come to a screeching halt under the milder influences of the June 10, 2021 Solar Eclipse @20Gemini as it bestows the better themes of 5 North ('prophetic dreams and visions').

Someone's Mars Is Rising

Now President Biden's first natal planet to rise in this chart is his unaspected Mars @12Sco35 ("13Scorpio" = " An Inventor Inventing") which can act directly, free of interference or influence; by 9:00 pm edt, ASC = 22Sco08 along with Mr. Biden's natal Mercury (21:32), the messenger. Meanwhile, 8th house Mars @3Can20 is out-of-bounds (OOBs) of the earthly plane and off attending to who-knows-what - perhaps additional plans to undermine the Biden administration and delay improvements for the American people? Well, as you know, activist Mars when in Moon-ruled Cancer is impulsive, moody, resentful, and subject to angry outbursts, even arson. Add to this an inconjunct from Mars to the public's Moon (@5Sag12 and rising in 1st house: happy mood) and a cosmic picture forms of hotheads (Mars) who lack self-control, tend to misjudge others, and form alliances with, and allegiances to, the very people who exploit them. In general, a Moon-Mars inconjunct is an aspect of nervous irritation and emotional anxiety which describes most of us these days. Yet Mars @3Can20 conjuncts US natal Venus so cooperation is needed for best results. But that would favor Joe Biden, whine the Republicans! As would wearing masks (see the IC's Sabian Symbol conjunct the HOW? Point) and the WHY? Point with "A Chemist Conducts an Experiment" upon it suggesting vaccines created to fight against the Covid-19 contagion and President Biden's inventive plans to rescue the US economy, with a tip of his hat to FDR's New Deal programs.

Also notable are the Sabian Symbols for the North Node ("12Gemini" = "A Black Slave Girl Demands Her Rights From Her Mistress" - will he mention America's killer cop trials? And perhaps reparations?). Then there's orating Mercury @"21Taurus" = "Moving Finger Points to Significant Passages in a Book", possibly a reference to the Bible, or to the secret book all presidents are said to follow. Or, it's simply an echo of the YOD pattern noted, above. Thing is, orating Mercury in Taurus opposes Mr. Biden's natal Mercury in Scorpio, a perfect cosmic picture of the disagreements and diverse opinions his pseudo-SOTU 2021 will activate, or aggravate.

Now in closing, we may wish to consider the cosmic weather of the evening via its Sun Taurus-Moon Sagittarius pairing, an Earth-Fire blend of conscious and unconscious energies ruled by the popular Venus-Jupiter combination. This 'dynamic duo' wants to make a contribution to the world via a stable economy and suggests common sense, inventiveness, and doing things on a grand scale which may refer to President Biden's visionary plans which must be large enough to make a difference in spite of opponents who, by harming Joe Biden, also harm the American people.
