Stars Over Washington sends Congratulations to Hillary Clinton and her shattered glass ceiling after last night's results.
Given the unfavorability ratings of GOP nominee Donald Trump, Republicans will have to cheat to win on November 8, 2016. Actually the cheating has already begun though I doubt that Mr. Trump cares how he 'wins' the (Venusian) Oval Office for he seems to be an 'end justifies the means' kind of self-promoter. The Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins reports:
In Campaign 2016 News: Voters of Nevada should beware of answering their phones because there's a campaign of lies (aka, push polling) afoot! Don't be pushed into believing lies. Thom Hartmann reports:
Personally I doubt that the push polling is being done by Republicans since they see their path to the White House made easier by running against Democratic Socialist Senator Sanders. That leaves Hillary Clinton's campaign and if you're paying attention to today's polling results projecting Sanders ahead in New Hampshire tonight, you may just agree.
Well, I for one am glad that Thom Hartmann is riled up in this segment concerning Obamacare, Senator Barasso's remarks, Republican states that refused Medicare and Medicaid expansion, and the shady 2000 Election where Mr. Bush's latest slogan "Jeb Can Fix It" clearly reminds us of how Jeb Bush fixed the 2000 presidential election for his oilman brother, as Thom explains. Although I cannot find it online I do remember a video clip during Bush's 2000 campaign of W and Jeb on an airplane boasting into the camera, "It's in the bag!"
And yes. It was. Stuff happens. And Jeb fixed it, all right.
Now it's 15 years later which is more or less a Saturn opposite Saturn phase from Election 2000 to Election 2015 if not 2016--maybe that's one way to describe the adolescent childishness from much of the Republican field down to "children's table" debates and the candidates' 'new debate rules' foot-stomping to get their dainty way with the networks or else. Yet to me it seems that Jeb's poll numbers will have to be ginned way up before whatever "fix" he and his team are planning for November 8, 2016 to make a Jeb 'victory' seem at all plausible to the American public. Maybe Republicans will rely on rigged voting machines, voter suppression ploys, and a few other traditional tricks of the win-at-any-cost political trade.
Politicians! If cheating is the only path to 'victory' it doesn't bother them all...even though cheating isn't winning. It's stealing.
Now here's Thom with "How Will Whiny Republicans Deal with Putin?" which includes the clip of President Obama's priceless remarks last evening mocking Republican brags over dealing with Putin vs their inability to handle debate moderators:
Although yours truly is no huge fan of baggage-encumbered 2016 candidate Hillary Clinton it feels as if the 'Benghazi investigation' led by Republican Trey Gowdy has crossed the line into political territory:
Rob McConnell's interview with Geoff Gilson, author of Maggie's Hammer, is an intriguing introduction to Mr Gilson's investigation into the mysterious death of his best friend and PM Margaret Thatcher's favorite speechwriter Hugh John Simmonds CBE in November 1988. Gilson's investigation lead him into such shady areas as illegal arms trafficking, political slush funds, high corruption, the Cold War, Iran and Iraq, a global network of crooks (known around Stars Over Washington as, the Syndicate, the Octopus, the Global Crime Network, mafia-style, or the Illuminati), "Britain's 30-year secret role as America's hired gun," and "a secret that explains much of contemporary history."
Mr. Gilson also mentions the sense that most people around the world have that events "are being arranged and controlled by other people" and how the 'outsider' status of 2016 candidates Senator Bernie Sanders and mogul Donald Trump seem to be our chance to rebel against that control. Curiously, their 'outsider' status tallies with the prognostication noted in a previous post The Venus Cycle and Presidential Election 2016.
Now here is Rob McConnell speaking with Geoff Gilson:
In modern politics, moral deformity is the order of the day for it's 'success at any cost' and "the Big Picture becomes clear and must be followed--very little option to do otherwise." (paraphrasing Tyl). The 'cost' is always levied against We the People, of course, as required by the power elite's win-win agenda.
Beware politicians who claim to see The Big Picture for you can be certain the needs they address are not ours.

This entry is actually an Update to last night's post on Gov. Scott Walker avoiding recall in Wisconsin yesterday. Yes, Walker somehow managed (infusion of big money from out-of-state; robo-calls sent out in Wisconsin yesterday saying that if you signed the recall petition, you don't have to vote!) to stay in office.
However, Wisconsin Democrats have flipped the balance in the state senate and and may now be able to stop the right-wing agenda of Walker and his corporate backers, the Koch Brothers.
Barring bribes, blackmail, and/or threats to their families, we'll see if Wisconsin's senate Dems have what it takes to resist the neocons' plan for America as they continue test driving it in Wisconsin. Sad to say but this is one example of a contagion brought to the collective by Neptune transiting Pisces.
Someone wants it to look as if Dick Cheney's reputed death squads are responsible for the assassination of Benazir Bhutto - if he's being framed (I tell ya), they know that it's seductively easy to consider if not half-believe about the former VP, isn't it?
Appropriately Cheney's reputation as a puppy kicker shadows him where 'ere he skulks, and archetypal villain Oilcan Harry couldn't be prouder of Mr. Curses' career of intimidation and who-knows-what other Pluto/Chiron pathologies and oppressions.
Cheney's 'panic room' under the VP residency is being skewered by TV's David Letterman as I type...funny Dave! VP Biden let the cat out with the news that he knows where Cheney was when in his 'undisclosed location'...a bunker under the VP's house. One wishes to assume a coffin wasn't part of Dick's vampirish practices.)
