Donald Trump's opinion of bragging politicians 1999

"My entire life, I’ve watched politicians bragging about how poor they are, how they came from nothing, how poor their parents and grandparents were. And I said to myself, if they can stay so poor for so many generations, maybe this isn’t the kind of person we want to be electing to higher office. How smart can they be? They’re morons.”

Donald Trump, The New York Times 1999 “Liberties; Trump Shrugged” (a reference to Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged)

So, poor people who voted for Mr. Trump and continue to support him: he thinks you're morons. And some people think Trump voters are morons--not because they're poor but because they voted for this unqualified, lewd, emotionally childish moron now wandering the halls of the White House and wishing he were somewhere else.

However, that's not the only interpretation of Trump's words in 1999 to journalist Maureen Dowd. And perhaps you know that Trevor Noah of The Daily Show is credited with 'digging up' the 1999 NYT article. Here's a piece including a video segment of The Daily Show episode where Noah discussed and critiqued Mr. Trump's 1999 quote on bragging politicians and the morons who, as it turned out in 2016, voted for his nibs who played them like a fiddle.

And here's a very much related don't-miss article I Know Why Poor Whites Chant Trump, Trump, Trump by Jonna Ivin, with a grateful shout out to my friend, writer Terry Woodson Burger for the heads-up!

Brutal poverty in US South is caused by globalization – Paul Theroux interview

Now isn't this a predictable part of the globalist agenda? Joblessness in the Deep South and across the nation will worsen under the anti-sovereign #TPP 'free trade' deal of blatant #corporatism and #plutocracy ...so as a native Georgian I have to say, thanks, Obama:

Thom Hartmann Sees Shades of the 1964 Republican Convention - clip

As of 2015, the RNC of 1964 occurred 51 years ago which may suggest that a cyclic astrological influence from that era upon the upcoming Republican National Convention contains Chirotic vibes of mentorship, guru-ism, wounding and/or healing. Or perhaps Mr. Hartmann is sensitive to such an influence!

Although his birth hour is unverified, you may wish to view the natal horoscope and brief bio of Senator Barry Goldwater who was born under a very individualistic Sun-Mercury-Uranus conjunction.

And here are two of what are perhaps Goldwater's most famous and instructive quotes:

"A government that is big enough to give you all you want is big enough to take it all away."

"Now those who seek absolute power, even though they seek it to do what they regard as good, are simply demanding the right to enforce their own version of heaven on earth, and let me remind you they are the very ones who always create the most hellish tyranny."

"Why the 99 Percent Keeps Losing" - Common Dreams

In modern politics, moral deformity is the order of the day for it's 'success at any cost' and "the Big Picture becomes clear and must be followed--very little option to do otherwise." (paraphrasing Tyl). The 'cost' is always levied against We the People, of course, as required by the power elite's win-win agenda.

Beware politicians who claim to see The Big Picture for you can be certain the needs they address are not ours.

Don't miss this revealing analysis of current US politics from Common Dreams: Why the 99% Keeps Losing.

1934 v 2012 in Politics (video)

Upton Sinclair 1934 and Greg Mitchell 2012

by Jude Cowell

Yes, Republicans have been attempting to 'roll back New Deal programs' since FDR set them up in the 1930s and it seems that he was inspired by Upton Sinclair's EPIC efforts in California (kind of like Obamacare being inspired by Mitt Romney's healthcare program when he was governor of Massachusetts!) Turns out the year 1934 is significant to our current circumstances as Greg Mitchell writes today in The Nation in Wisconsin: When Big 'Outside' Money First Dominated a Key Political Campaign

.

Here is a video concerning Sinclair's campaign which may remind you of our 2012 embroilments and debates on poverty vs wealth via 'trickle-down economics' in unequal, listing badly America:

You may wish to follow the above link to Mr. Mitchell's article where you'll find other such videos on the California governor's bid of social-ill-exposer Upton Sinclair, and more.

Now here's one of my favorite quotes from author Upton Sinclair, a Sun Vir-Moon Can personality born September 20, 1878 at 9:00 am (he supplied his birth data to the AFA Data Exchange) in Baltimore, Maryland with 5Sco26 rising and compassionate Neptune conjunct Chiron in Taurus, both Rx. A critical 29th-degree Saturn Rx (29Pis39--conjunct the Aries Point of Fame) forms the nose of a high-flying Kite pattern opposite natal Sun 27Vir27; the sides of the Kite are formed by idealistic Jupiter (27Cap20 Rx) trine powerful Pluto (26Tau22 Rx.) As you know, the Jupiter-Pluto collaboration may indicate politics, publishing, banking, and those who mount large-scale projects--aka, 'special achievers'.

Here's Mr. Sinclair now:

"Is it altogether a Utopian dream, that once in history a ruling class might be willing to make the great surrender, and permit social change to come about without hatred, turmoil, and waste of human life?"

To which I always reply to myself, Yes. It is. Being excessively greedy is how they acrue massive wealth, that and using others to get ahead. Curiously, the social change/unrest pair of Uranus and Pluto were square one another in 1934 as in 2012 (to 2015.) In 1934, Uranus was in Aries as now (Uranus in Aries = Utopians--Ebertin), then spent some time in early Taurus, and 1934 Pluto from his position in late Cancer opposed US natal Pluto (27Cap33 Rx) rather than just creeping up on our n Pluto in Capricorn until eventually Mr. Hades will return to his US natal Pluto position all through the critical year of 2020.

Poverty in US way up, Power Elite doing just fine

On September 10, 2009, the US Census Bureau released the latest figures for poverty rates in America which now affect one in eight Americans.

Our plutocrats-in-charge, the grossly wealthy and morally deformed power elite, remain unmoved as their NWO plans steamroll along.

And it continues to amaze me that so few people in this country see a connection!

On Jan 1, 2006, with Astrology as a lens and intuition my guide, I was blogging like the dissenting gnat I am here on SO'W and fussing about upcoming Soup Lines Across America. Was I wrong? Well, I wanted to be, yet felt a sinking feeling that I was not.

Please check out a bit of (Freemason) President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Jan 20, 1937 Inaugural Address where he defines the test of our progress, the dynamics of which I assert were of no concern to George Bush or to other US oligarchs.

So Bush's financial crisis of 2007/2008 expectably occurred, ostensibly giving states and the federal government many excuses for cutting back on public services just when they're needed most; now we see where Republican policies have led - to lukewarm bowls of Sole of Shoe Soup for many Americans, if they can get them.

A Look at Poverty in America 2007

Wonder if presidential candidate John Edwards would be proud of the excellent article written by my Gather friend, Genine Hopkins?

A Look at Poverty: From the Inside makes excellent points about the experience of being on the ladder's lower rungs in America.

You don't have to join Gather dot com to read articles or view images....only to comment.

Hope to see you there!
