Read the SCOTUS Obamacare Decision (and Venus Transit 2012)

Mother Jones is providing a PDF of the full text of SCOTUS' Obamacare decision of June 28, 2012 if you wish to read the real thing instead of listening to people telling or semi-telling you what's in it.

Oh, and by the way: have meant to return here to note that the Venus Transit of June 5, 2012 where I'd written that it might lead to 'unusual or unorthodox alliances' being formed as during the Venus Transit of June 2004 between world leaders (G-8 Summit on Sea Island, Georgia) or, in 2012, to possibly a 'break-up of alliances' (EU? Greece? still possible) describes Justice John Roberts siding with the more liberal side of the Court rather than the conservative side when he wrote the opinion upholding the Affordable Health Care Act of 2010. And of course, in the Tropical Zodiac, Venus Transit 2012 occurred in mid-Gemini, a sign ruled by Mercury, planet of decisions, opinions, announcements, and good news.

Now if I could only get over the ideas that the legislation contains things we'll be sorry about one day (DNA ownership? forced vaccinations? cloning Mitt Romney?), and that Justice Roberts has an ulterior motive for the June 28th decision such as mitigating public outrage when the November 2012 election has to be 'decided' by SCOTUS (November 6th Mercury Rx = disputed outcomes, voting irregularities) as in December 2000 and he proudly hands the presidency on a golden platter to that mysterious Piscean, Mitt Romney--'aristocratic' royalist and firm believer in protection by magic underwear.

In addition, it doesn't matter how the Roberts Court ruled if the fix is in and Romney and a gaggle of GOP candicates are going to be 'elected' in November since if they gain a majority in the Senate, Obamacare is set by their global governance overlords to be repealed anyway!

Well, the weekend is here and most Democrats, Independents, and Liberals are celebrating yesterday's SCOTUS decision to uphold the president's Affordable Health Care Act of 2010 (which I said all along should be titled a 'Health Insurance Act' for it does little or nothing to curb medical costs as they need to be.)

An interesting tidbit is that yesterday, Mercury (decisions; announcements; pronouncements) was at 2Leo51 and thus on its degree in the natal horoscope of President Obama, and in Washington DC, Mercury was the 12th house of The Unconscious (and of Politics, Self-Undoing, Karma) as FOX 'News' and CNN acted as "victims of the unconscious' those first 7 minutes by reading and reporting what they expected to read and discover. Yes, Trickster Mercury was at work! To add complexity to the circus along with elements of the media and the masses, too-speedy Mercury was aided and abetted by confused, confusing, deluded Neptune. The inconjunct aspect (150 degr = adjustment) between them (0A08) was almost exact and lead to (some of) the media's misinterpretation and misunderstanding in their crazed attempts to be "first" with the news. They reported what they wanted to report, not what was before their eyes.

Republicans Throw Justice Roberts "Under the Bus"

As for Chief Justice John Roberts who sided with the Court's more liberal Justices and wrote the opinion upholding 'Obamacare', his natal Mars is now triggered (conjoined) by transiting Uranus 8Ari27 marking a period of time when unpredictable actions disrupt his typical behavior. Tsk tsk!

Meanwhile, you may have noticed the top of this blog's sidebar where I've recently added the feed to The Political Astrology Blog which trumpets the tidings that a birth time has been found for Rep. Paul Ryan of Ayn Rand fame. His details are: January 29, 1970 @2:37 am Janesville, Wisconsin if you wish to set up a natal chart for the "Path to Prosperity Plan" fellow. By his daft idea to "tax the poor"--the 'blood out of a turnip' school of economics--I think he means prosperity only for those who already heave it, don't you? Anyway, this gives Rep. Ryan an Ascendant of 00Sag+ with Neptune rising at 00Sag+...he's a thespian wearing a mask!

Plus, as you know, the Sabian Symbol for '1Sag' is: "A Grand Army of the Republic Campfire." Well, the GOP does consider itself to be very Grand (as in, Old Party) and envisions itself to be the only political party worthy to helm the White House--ever. Guess they're just a little ole' army of never-give-up-win-at-any-cost Machiavellian soldiers on a take-over campaign who stunningly had their marching orders diverted somewhat by yesterday's SCOTUS decision.

2.24.12: CoffeePartyUSA Rally @ Supreme Court (video): overturn Citizens United!

Fewer than 300 people turned up at the CoffeePartyUSA Rally, several groups were represented including Boomers For Democracy ('enough is enough'!), and here you see former congressman and current President/CEO of Common Cause, Bob Edgar, speaking on our extreme need to overturn the globalism-boosting monstrosity known as Citizens United which has led to massive funding of political campaigns by SuperPACs with no public disclosure of the identities lurking behind the billions.

Now foreign entities meddling in US politics isn't new, of course, and earlier US presidents fought against it vociferously for they understood its dangers--yet thanks to SCOTUS 2010 and Justice John Roberts, the practice has now been placed on steroids in Campaign 2012. Is the Silent Coup of America basically a fait accompli?

To me it seems that the Supreme Court decision of January 2010 was a court overreach shoved onto the American people as if corporations and political ideologues needed help tipping the Scales of 'Justice' in their favor against The Little Man. If we need a real world example of 1% v 99%, the Citizens United decision resembles that remark and 'legally' embeds the inequality.

So perhaps the inclusion into our election process of mysterious donors from afar was one of the ruling's objectives. What do you think? After all, a US law that disenfranchises the American people (with the founders' insistence on setting up a by-for-of the people government) by allowing interference from invisible entities who care not a fig for democracy should, if justice prevails, be considered automatically null and void.


Citizens United's Pre-Natal Eclipse Series

The Solar and Lunar Eclipses of 2010 were no picnic and you may remember the June 26, 2010 Lunar Eclipse @ '5Cap' conjoining powerful, wealthy, stealthy Pluto. The Citizens United decision (Jan 21, 2010) falls into the 12 North Saros Series of solar eclipses and will forever influence the democracy-undermining ruling in some way, on some levels of its existence.

Impeach Justice Roberts over Citizens United?

Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-OR) is talking big about the potential of impeaching Chief Justice John Roberts whose only-an-umpire status touted (aka, lied about) at his confirmation hearing has been seriously undercut by 2010's democracy-numbing Citizens United decision which has allowed the flooding of the November 2010 midterms with obscene amounts of money from unnamed, foreign sources and corporations (who fancy themselves to be 'people too'. The American people have SCOTUS to thank for that outrageous, illogical decision as well.)

In an unusual move, it was Justice Robert's idea to consider the case!

So if a Roberts impeachment is attempted (or accomplished, but I'm not holding my breath), it may deepen the level of astrological meaning of January 20, 2009's Inaugural Mercury retrograde! The 2009 Inauguration chart had its Mercury Return on February 10, 2010 so the Citizens United decision handed down in January was in play during the period that transiting Mercury was in process of returning to its Inaugural degree 00AQ41 (Sun 00AQ47)...'1AQ" = "An Old Adobe Mission", a Vatican reference in the Sabian Symbols which links to esoteric subjects such as America as the New Atlantis for the 'New Age'.

The Obama presidency's Mercury Return chart of 2.10.10 shows Mars Rx 5Leo14 opposing Mercury, an opposition which falls precisely across the Nodal axis in the US natal horoscope. Activist Mars can be brash and spunky in Leo and he was apparently feeling his oats with a judicial activist (and pretend 'umpire') like Roberts leading the fight against the American people's right to choose who wins our elections (always assuming there's such a thing as an accurate voting machine somewhere in this nation.)

And on 2.10.10, Mars was apex (focal) planet in a YOD (special task; crisis; turning point; crossroads - I'm thinking of Karl Rove) pattern with the powerful, overstepping, internationally inclined big bankers-plutocrats-leading-the-masses duo of Jupiter sextile Pluto at its base...

Jupiter/Pluto = Mars: a desire to achieve great things; organizing talent; applying controls to suit one's aims; a controlling and ruthless purpose in life. (Ebertin; Munkasey; Tyl.) Et tu, Justice Roberts?

Interestingly, John Roberts (Jan 27, 1955, Buffalo, NY; birth time unknown) entered Earth's time flux with Chiron @ 00AQ00 and his Mercury/NN midpoint 00AQ17. Chiron can represent the blind spot, and Mercury/NN = 'well-coordinated joint efforts; the arrangement of social or business contacts'. (Ebertin; Munkasey.)

Of course, you'll remember that it was Justice John Roberts who mucked up the Presidential Oath of Office (Mercury) which was re-taken (Rx) later just to be certain no one could say that Barack Obama was not duly sworn in.

Now wouldn't a John Roberts impeachment be ironic? And yet it could indicate yet another signpost on the road to completely undermining the US Justice System.

Gonzo's high noon 7.31.07

Looking at the chart for Washington today and the 'high noon' deadline Arlen Specter dramatically gave Alberto Gonzales to correct his testimony, it portends the usual defiance by Gonzo.

Like other Chiron/Uranus Types Alberto has trouble accepting the authority of others--except his own, of course.

At the noon point of the chart--the MC--is "20Can", a critical degree, which puts the opposite degree (20Cap, now gobbed up with the transiting Pluto/Chiron midpoint, the Plutocracy duo) at the IC, the Basis or Foundation of the chart. The IC is the HOW? Point so we see the powers-that-be-behind-the-throne as the way he may hold onto his power for he's desperately trying to save what's left.

The previously mentioned Fixed T-square pattern pointing to apex (focal) Mars has another opposition to contend with (at noon)...

Depressive but ambitious Moon/Saturn = Mars: sense of real problems; difficulty getting off the ground except by strategically planned exertions.

At noon the ascending degree 17Lib38 brings the US sec progressed Mars into view-- our military, the war, and surveillance folk being behind much of this apparent scuffle with Gonzo and his attempted hospital strong-arming of Ashcroft...

"18Lib" = "Two men placed under arrest"...oh come on...only two from this crowd? (If the petty weeders were cleared out of US prisons so they could go home to their children, we'd have plenty of room for the politicians who really belong there.)

Amusingly enough, Mars is near the nasty Fixed Star, Algol, and nearing turbulent Capulus (to lose one's head; blindness; ruthless, decisive action), with Algol's keywords: ruthless destruction; consuming passion.

The Sun (8Leo05 at noon) arose with Fixed Star, Sirius, closely connected to the US natal chart. Sirius = a person who loves power; the fire of immortality; danger of pushing things too far, too fast (like Bush-Cheney into Iraq?)

Mars also is in an obsessive-compulsive quindecile aspect (165 degress, QD) with Jupiter (Jup = R Party) so we have Mars QD Jupiter: driven by a thirst for more (power!); rushing to judgement; acting impulsively on beliefs and opinions; aggressive; erratic in financial matters; unpredictable; extremely competitive; takes on too many things at once.

The last is supported by Gonzales' current transit of Saturn (Sat = D Party, but on another level represents authority and accountability in general) to natal Pluto (power; manipulation; coping ability.) Saturn to Pluto brings a loss of control in situations which are simply too large to handle.

Since his birth time is unknown (if you discover it, please let me know!) I only know that his natal Moon is in Aquarius...at sunrise (Aug 4, 1955) Moon 19AQ19. If born before sunrise, it's possible that Neptune's dissolving action has already been affecting his Moon...or it's doing so now, for this transit brings a lack of commitment from others, and mystery and confusion about one's background and past.

And since Neptune always has an element of loss or self-sacrifice to it, this transit could very well be part of his experience now (give it up, Al!) If he has physical complaints they will be difficult to diagnose, and if he has a home--and even weasels must live somewhere--there is danger of gas leaks or flooding.

Now let's consider the Sabian Symbol for contentious Mars today:

"A Spaniard serenading his senorita"...CONSTANCY...

pos: a continual reassurance by which the will of man coaxes the depths of his soul into experience;

neg/shadow side/unconscious: futile attempts to control life by empty blandishment.

Futile because it's too large to handle!

With chart-ruler Venus now Rx and weak in critical Virgo, her semi-square to noon's rising degree indicates a null outcome as far as the "high noon" ultimatum goes.

Yet other applying aspects of Venus and Mars, the Spaniard, show obstacles to an easy resolution of this thirsty-for-power mess our politicians have our government mired in.

And the John Roberts story has been a fine if temporary diversion.
