October 21, 2020: Debate a risk for Trump, Biden doesn't need it

If it occurs, Nashville, TN is to be the scene of the 'final' Biden-Trump debate on Thursday evening (October 22, 2020) so looking at planetary conditions during the debate seems a necessity whether we want to or not.

First, the Saturnian Elephant in the Room (image: 'Blue Saturn')

On the evening of October 22nd, the Capricorn Trio (19-26Cap) will be joined by the Moon (We The People; the public mood) which creates a few midpoint pictures full of potential with Moon as apex receiving the heavyweight Saturnian energies. As you know, Capricorn is the sign of government, law, and business. A Capricorn Moon signifies that the current public mood is a sober, serious one with ambition and strategy on our minds along with business, professional, investment, and practical concerns of family and career. Issues of responsibility are high on the lunar menu of this debate and our underlying sense of melancholia is revealed by the Saturn-ruled Moon showing that we feel oppressed, suppressed, and restricted due to quarantine demands of the pandemic and by dire societal conditions in general. Any or all of these matters should turn up during the debate.

Here are the debate's midpoint picture potentials:

Jupiter-Saturn = Moon: mood changes; easy upsets; emotional conviction; a hypersensitive ego position.

Saturn-Pluto = Moon: renunciation; cold feelings; giving up giving; melancholy; a tragic destiny.

Also in effect: Sun-Mars = Moon: a feminine influence; confrontation is avoided via indecision. (Will this debate be canceled, too? Surely not!)

Obviously, our current hardship conditions in US society under the Trump regime are on the minds of We The People and must be considered at the polls - and have been for the millions of us who've already voted in this existential life-or-death struggle for the future of America. There are two possible 'new world orders' - one dystopian/authoritarian, one less so. If you're reading Stars Over Washington, I suspect you realize which is which in the Trump vs Biden competition. Yet we know that the current hardship conditions of restrictive Saturn-Pluto are karmic and have been a long-time coming. It's Trump's mishandling and neglect of our problems that have caused more difficulties than there had to be, compliments of Trump The Undutiful.

As for Pluto in Capricorn (= 'the dictator' - R. Ebertin) it has been noted in various SO'W posts over the last four years, that (now-debating) Pluto @22Cap34 - conjuncts Trump's natal Vertex of fated encounters while opposing his natal 11th house Saturn in Cancer (authority challenged, transformed, or destroyed). And perhaps you remember that the January 12, 2020 Great Conjunction of Saturn and Pluto @22Cap46 'hit' his natal Vertex (22:51) as well. So besides difficulties and obstacles 'meeting' (VX) Trump (and thus America) in 2020, such harsh planetary conditions may be seen to represent the current opposition from powerful political and financial figures, even corporations (Pluto) and Republicans, to Trump's management of the pandemic, to his leadership in general (his Saturn in watery, tribal, nationalistic Cancer), and to the idea of 'four more years' of Trumpian chaos, propaganda, and primal violence.

Meanwhile, Thursday's debate Hygeia @10Leo19, asteroid of health, conjuncts Trump's natal Pluto (10:02) in his 12th house of hospitals, hidden enemies, self-undoing, and karma. Assess this health implication as you will especially since Trump's natal Pluto is apex of his destructive Mars-Saturn midpoint (the 'death axis'--R. Ebertin), all in his Underworld 12th house - and with Trump, that's Pluto the saboteur and thief.

Debate Mars Rx in Aries Has His Say

Adding to the Saturn-Pluto challenges for Trump is debate Mars Rx @18Ari21 opposing his natal 2nd house Jupiter (17Lib27 S) denoting an unfavorable time for competition (exs: a debate; an election), a tendency toward taking unwise actions (I know--always the case with his nibs), and vastly overinflating his personal capabilities - also a regular feature of his narcissistic personality. Plus, the words grandstanding and fanaticism come easily to mind when Mars opposes natal Jupiter. Of course, Mars represents males in general (approximately ages 25 to 35, give or take a year) but more specifically, police officers and military men, those with careers and activities ruled by Mars. Even surgeons and barbers with sharp instruments (Mars) may be implicated here as opposing and/or acting against another four years trying to breathe under the bulk of Trump. Plus, activists are also indicated by Mars.

Now there are plenty of other planetary factors worth mentioning that are in force for the October 22nd debate and I trust that you, dear reader, may be inspired to discover them if you haven't already. And as always, your on-topic comments are invited! jc

Cold War Horoscope 1945 meets Saturn-Pluto 2020

Cold War-Yalta Astro-Notes: 1945 and Beyond

It's probably not good news that one of the planets in a historical horoscope soon to be 'hit' by the harsh January 12, 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction @22Cap46 is Mars in the February 4, 1945 Cold War Horoscope of the postwar Yalta Conference between FDR, Churchill, and Stalin which suggests potentials for 'brutality, violence, ruthlessness, and the necessity to fight for one's existence' (Ebertin). Additionally, the January 12, 2020 conjunction of compressed energies manifests upon the Cold War's 19 South Prenatal Eclipse ('PE' of January 14, 1945 @23Cap41 = 'lucky breaks'--Brady) and it conjuncts Trump's natal Vertex ('VX' @22Cap51), all of which are penned on the right side of the chart; Roosevelt's birth data is listed, upper right; and a Vertex is a point of 'fated encounters' and/or 'changing work conditions':

Also listed on the chart underneath FDR's natal data is a depressing cosmic occurrence--Yalta's Saturn Rx @4Can36 conjoins FDR's natal Moon, and Yalta's Moon conjoins FDR's natal Saturn--a double whammy, we could say. So obviously, the conference was held during an emotional low point in Roosevelt's life, plus, Moon-Saturn contacts often have health connotations. We can see this in Yalta photos and the dark circles around his eyes.

Then sadly, as you know, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt died of a brain hemorrhage about 2 months after the Yalta Conference ended, his "willful ignorance" about Stalin and communism no longer influencing him. Yet due to recent events and Trump's turns against traditional US alliances, one may wonder if in 2019 and beyond the tendency toward such 'ignorance' continues to influence certain denizens of Washington DC who thereby work against the better interests of our nation.

Recommended: Roosevelt's Failure at Yalta from the Hoover Institute circa 2004 which touches uncomfortably upon the current day relationship between the US and Russia via Donald Trump's transactional, subservient union with Vladimir Putin. Alternatively, here's a different view, Why Roosevelt was right about Stalin - that we could do business with him because at heart Stalin was a businessman. So was FDR naive about the Russian leader of his day? Does Donald Trump behave like a Kremlin asset? The horoscope, above, has some indication of threatened violence and of course many folk (such as yours truly) suspect that Putin controls Trump bwo blackmail and/or threatened violence--and perhaps Stalin controlled Roosevelt in a similar fashion. If so, are current events and those of the Roosevelt administration and the Stalin regime more alike than we know?

Well, for more info on 1945 events, try a Politico article by Andrew Glass Roosevelt departs from Yalta, February 11, 1945 which details some of the aftermath of the Yalta Conference such as FDR's assurance to Congress that, "I come from the Crimea with a firm belief that we have made a start on the road to a world of peace." But it soon became clear that Stalin would not honor his promise of free elections for Poland. Naive? Willful ignorance? Complicity under duress?

So I surmise that the upcoming planetary pile-up upon the 23 Capricorn degree indicates a cosmic time link involving events of 1945 and today, with the same nations participating. And on the horoscope you see (mid-center, top) a notation replete with on-topic cosmic synchronicity: 23 Capricorn = Governmental authority, according to fabled astrologer Nicholas Devore.

So as 'they' always like to say, timing is everything which suggests to me that whatever upcoming shift "this is," it has been in the planning stages for a very long time meant to coincide with the beginning of a new order timed by Saturn conjunct Pluto, then at Winter Solstice 2020, Jupiter conjunct Saturn upon US Inaugural Sun (the Office of the President), and with three conjunctions of the wealthy plutocrat duo Jupiter and Pluto sandwiched in between.

Wonder if Kavanaugh, in league with Bush and Cheney, had anything to do with the attacks of 9/11/01--used as a pretext for war and invasion of the Middle East? At the very least, we know on whose watch the attacks were perpetrated as the Saturn-Pluto opposition fell across America's natal ASC-DESC axis and this stirs up questions about the upcoming Saturn-Pluto Conjunction of January 12, 2020 @22Cap46 and the fact that the conjunction hits the natal Vertex (22:51) of Donald J. Trump. The harsh Saturn-Pluto duo meets his Vertex at the crossroads, we might say.

August 2019: Time Again for a Trump Mars Return

Astro-Notes on a Martian Combatant: Energy, Action, Motivation, and Desire

First off, in the 2019 Solar Return Horoscope of Donald Trump (born June 14, 1946) quite a bit of Mars action is shown (exs: Mercury-Mars = NN: quarrels; Mars conjunct starry Alphard: legal and love problems--especially nasty when malevolent Mars is involved with this star which contains the potential for poisoning of some kind.) Understandable given his White House tenure, his many opponents, and his contentious, retaliatory, and determined nature so obvious via natal Mars in Leo rising with royal Regulus, among other factors of discontent, egotism (me-first!), and greed.

Then in Trump's current Mars Return Horoscope (August 31, 2017; 26Leo46) undermining Neptunian energies are prominent as mysteries, secrets, leaks, scandals, lies, deception, illusions, disguises, propaganda, and outright fraud continue to mar the landscape while Trump's true 'character' is more and more revealed, warts and all, as they say. Plus, every Mars Return is a Mars-to-natal-Ascendant transit for Donald so his 'fighting spirit', nose-thumbing at opponents and challengers, and temper tantrums may be particularly volatile in August.

And so, as his 2017 Mars Return runs its course, a new 2-year cycle of activity will begin for his nibs on August 12, 2019 when transit Mars returns to its position in Trump's natal horoscope (26Leo46). I'm looking at his Mars Return 2019 horoscope set for Washington DC, the location a symbolic choice on my part since he'll most likely be out puttering around in a golf cart somewhere during the steamy month of August and fudging his golf scores the way a cheater would do.

(Note: Trump's Mars Return 2019 chart is not shown here because I'm on the fussy side today and don't care to display it, however, the following text mentions several of the return chart's basic and more prominent features--you'll discover more, I'm certain.)

Donald Trump's Mars Return 2019: There He Goes Again

Mars @26Leo46 August 12, 2019 11:27:04 pm edt Washington DC: Hour of Saturn (@14Cap55 Rx in 9th house with South Node 17:25, Pluto @21Cap12 Rx, and the Moon @23Cap52 conjunct MC and Trump's natal Vertex (22Cap51) of fated encounters so perhaps this foreshadows the Saturn-Pluto Conjunction of January 12, 2020 @22Cap46 conjunct the natal Vertex of his nibs. Also note that his Mars Return MC @24Cap07 points directly toward the July 16, 2019 Lunar Eclipse @24Cap04 and issues, secrets, revelations, and/or scandals on Trump's calendar around that time, not long past, most likely concerning the Saturn/Capricorn realms of control, authority, accountability, law, investment, business, and government. It will be interesting to see how or if Robert Mueller's testimony yesterday affects any or all of these Trumpian issues as Summer 2019 proceeds into Autumn.

Now rising in the Mars Return 2019 chart is 11Tau03 which makes the chart-ruler Venus (@19Leo48 in 5th house with Sun 20Leo07 and Mars 26:46). Evaluating if venal Venus is disposited by the Sun which is in its own sign of Leo, plus, with Return Mars, the trio shows much egotism, willfulness, quarrels, fighting, and venality in the 5th house of Risk-Taking, Gambling, Creativity, Romance, and Children. Knowing Mars-rising Trump as we regretfully do, acts of vengeance cannot be ruled out, and a Taurean Ascendant can bring up concerns over real estate, land ownership (ex: farmers and ranchers near the border), security, growth, avarice, obstinacy, cravings, egotism, intolerance (bigotry), and pomposity. Sounds a lot like Spanky, doesn't it?!

Now chart-ruler Venus makes only one Ptolemaic aspect in the Mars Return 2019 chart--a conjunction with Mars (6A57), both in 5th house of Romance and Gambling and suggesting Big T's desire for whatever or whomever 'catches his eye'. Working with partners and/or allies can be pleasurable during a Venus-to-Mars transit for this lazy fellow, and an appreciation for beauty and for luxurious travel may be prominent (particularly since he's a spoiled boy who expects such indulgences). Also note that Mars rules the 7th house of the chart (Desc 11Sco03) so legal affairs can also be affected and increase Trump's 'lady troubles' with additional 'open enemies' and/or lawsuits coming forward--and perhaps his children are involved (Venus-to-Mars 5th h). Plus, with just-turned-direct Jupiter (14Sag30 on August 11) in the 8th house of Shared Resources, pay-outs and pay-offs are distinct possibilities as transit Jupiter picks up speed.

In addition, 'martyr' Trump will continue feeling oppressed by others and will tend to misjudge people while forming ill-advised alliances (so what's new, right?) - he may even 'suffer loss via collusion' (no kidding--'collusion' is actually the word Rob Pelletier uses in his Planets in Aspect for this return chart's Moon-Mars inconjunct (2A53)!)

So in closing, mention should be made that the Aries-Libra relationship axis is intercepted across the 6-12 victim-savior polarity (Washington DC) hinting that there are karmic issues to be dealt with and lessons to be learned for Martian Trump over the next approximately two years of this Mars Return 2019 period. And curiously, the Vertex in his Mars Return 2019 chart is thus intercepted as well within the service-oriented 6th house @18Lib24--conjunct Trump's natal Jupiter Stationary (17:27), the boundary-breaker, which suggests that there are multiple fated issues--financial, diplomatic, medical, and otherwise--which must be confronted and addressed for best results if the scofflaw-in-chief is to enjoy any best results at all.
