In Campaign 2016 News: Voters of Nevada should beware of answering their phones because there's a campaign of lies (aka, push polling) afoot! Don't be pushed into believing lies. Thom Hartmann reports:
Personally I doubt that the push polling is being done by Republicans since they see their path to the White House made easier by running against Democratic Socialist Senator Sanders. That leaves Hillary Clinton's campaign and if you're paying attention to today's polling results projecting Sanders ahead in New Hampshire tonight, you may just agree.
Way back in 2006, 2007, and 2008 on Stars Over Washington a frequent mention or quote involved the following excerpt from Franklin D. Roosevelt's Inauguration Address of January 20, 1937 (the first inauguration that was switched from early March to January 20th and which gave the presidency an airy, more rigid Aquarian Sun of leadership instead of a watery Pisces Sun). Since then the US economy has tanked and somewhat recovered (in an illusory way for the 99%) and many economists, pundits, and prognosticators are predicting another meltdown in 2016 or later.
As an astrology novice, I, too, have been guilty of such doubts if only because of the natural law that 'what goes up must come down' and the bubbly, fraudulent Jupiter-Neptune influences of 2009 and beyond. But one thing as an American and a Child of the Revolution (30 Cancer) that has never seemed doubtful to me is that the following excerpt full of the humanitarian flavor of Aquarius describes a timeless measurement and perfectly encapsulates our current worsening conditions brought on by the steady campaign fought by wealthy, secretive plutocrats against the American people in order to dismantle our social safety net, create chaos and misery, and set up a global government of pernicious proportions. Echoing from 1937, here are the words of President Roosevelt:
"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little."
Did he mean karmic progress or simply economic and societal progress? Perhaps all three or something else. And yes, I know that FDR was a 'new world order' promoter himself but with a Democratic flair. As for the Aquarian nature of his words it displays in his natal horoscope with Sun in Aquarius and Uranus rising in Mercury-ruled Virgo which identifies him as one who can cope with whatever arises--and, as he himself is recorded as saying--gave him talents such as those required to be an actor, juggler, and magician. As you know, Mercury is also The Trickster, and genius Uranus is considered the planet of progress, progressive politics, disruption, originality, novelty, shocks, and radical reforms.
Also of interest is that at the moment of his Inauguration Address of January 20, 1937, transit Pluto (plutocracy, the papacy, assassins, and such) @27Cancer34 precisely opposed US natal Pluto (27:33) denoting two great powers locked in a titanic struggle for control, wealth of nations included. Well, it's been 79 years since FDR spoke those Aquarian sentiments and Pluto now approaches his natal Capricorn position in our nation's July 4, 1776 chart. My thought is that whoever and whatever groups 1937 Pluto represented now consider themselves in the final stages of their campaign to rule the world in time for, or around the time of, America's first-ever Pluto Return/s in 2022. That this destructive plan so long Pluto's obsession has spiritual as well as societal, financial, and political implications is beyond the scope of this post.

So it's the resulting Synthesis of these plutocratic potentials we must be concerned about and the too-similar corporate neoliberalism of the Clinton wing of the Democratic Party which, as Benjamin Studebaker so ably asserts, began in earnest with the presidency of Jimmy Carter. Now in 2016 we find that the Democratic Socialism (a laFDR and LBJ) of candidate Bernie Sanders is the only antidote to Plutocracy we have left to us as long as Bernie's 'Political Revolution' comes to pass via a landslide voter turnout in November--otherwise, America's debilitating Income Inequality will be our generation's legacy to future generations.
How curious that the Tax Day deadline is on April 18, 2016 for that's the very day of a Pluto Retrograde Station as you see in the horoscope set for Washington DC:

On April 18, 2016 Pluto's Rx Station is exact in the Eastern time zone at 3:25:38 am during an Hour of the Sun which is apex of a Thor's Hammer pattern that has the Jupiter-Saturn square at its base (listed on the chart, lower right). As a midpoint picture, social change and boasting are prominent with Sun-Jupiter-Saturn and we may expect the usual contention between progressives and conservatives. Moon, Mercury, and Pluto (the wealthy gold-hoarder and power-grabber) with Pluto stationing just within the 12th house of Politics, Karma, Self-Undoing, Large Institutions, Backroom Deals, and Hidden Enemies.
America's National Treasury is also prominent in the chart (2nd house, containing Venus, Uranus, and the Sun) and with fraudster Neptune in secretive Pisces rising in first house, and the societal Saturn-Neptune square describing difficult conditions such as the ones 2016 candidate Bernie Sanders continues to address, we might infer that prognosticators of a 2016 financial crash could be correct though of course more study is necessary. (My constant Comcast disconnections make more study difficult!)
Pluto Stations at 18 Capricorn: "The Union Jack Flies from a British Warship" which to me denotes war (which we have plenty of thanks to neocons and their foreign directors), POLITICAL POWER and strong-armed paternalism, and financially the City of London (the Rothschilds--now in Reno, Nevada!) But it also relates closely to 1993, Bill Clinton's presidency (NAFTA, etc), and the Great Conjunction/s of Uranus and Neptune at or near that degree (with Bill the Democratic Party fully embraced Corporatism).
So with transit Pluto now stronger at its station on Tax Day 2016, the Uranus-Neptune midpoint is activated by the hidden claws of Pluto and we have potentials for: abandonment of resistance; great losses; calamities and catastrophes (Ebertin) and this may be telling us about a financial collapse, US currency devaluation (Venus-Uranus in 2nd house: disrupted finances), a credit downgrade, or other financial chaos manipulative Pluto can bring.
Also noted on the chart in 10th house: the US natal Ascendant (July 4, 1776 5:09 pm LMT) with the transiting 'death axis' pair of planets upon it, Mars-Saturn, alerting us to a need to economize and/or difficult advancement. Since it's a transiting midpoint picture its effects are only temporary yet you see that conjunct warring Antares is Mars @8Sag53 stationing as well and turned Rx on April 17, 2016--and wherever there is Mars-Pluto action there are force, weaponry, and upheaval. And Mars as apex of a dynamic T-Square pattern is not comforting for the opposition between the inflationary spendthrift pair, Jupiter and Neptune (which also denote political conflicts), point toward Mars and gives the entire shebang a frosting of unreliability and market speculation.
Yet there are those determined toward success and they are signified by Jupiter @13Virgo Rx but still a high-powered executive. Jupiter can play the roles of banker, guru, corporatist, broadcaster, the general, and politician and in recent charts has often represented President Obama as Commander-in-Chief. We'll see how things work out as Jupiter plays engine of the Locomotive pattern as April 2016 and Tax Day approach.

Well, I'd really like to read the text of her expensive speeches to Goldman Sachs, wouldn't you? In my populist-common good view, the Democratic Party needs to come up with a 4th way that includes the best interests of the American people. Now that would be a sea change worth navigating.

In the video, Thom mentions the year 1988 for the change and of course, with the 1993 Inauguration of Bill Clinton we may choose to time the corporatizing of the previously union-working-middle-class political party which was on display last evening in New Hampshire as Hillary Clinton attempted to deny herself as the "establishment" candidate by touting President **Obama and Joe Biden as "progressives", a part they play on TV. My Comcast connection problems persist but I want to say something quickly about this week's 'Hillary a progressive on some days' kerfluffle between Senator Sanders and Secretary Clinton. (No wonder she self-describes rather schizophrenically.) To me it's not as much of a 'some days' question, it's that Hillary Clinton is a progressive on some issues and a moderate on others. And a neocon on matters of war, conquest, and global government. But that's just my view from the 13th colony of Georgia, take it or leave it! jc
