Independence Day 2020 and a Capricorn Lunar Eclipse

Below is a DC Horoscope of the July 5, 2020 Lunar Eclipse @13Cap37 across the 4/10 Security and Career axis. Perfecting at 12:44:17 am edt, America's natal Sun (13Can19) is 'eclipsed' even more closely than it was during the 3 North July 2, 2019 Solar Eclipse @10Can37 and you know the turmoil, changes, and disruptive events that ensued for US leadership in the summer of 2019 and beyond. (Exs: Trump's "perfect call' to Ukraine's President Zelenskiy, military and humanitarian aide to Ukraine withheld which benefited Russia, Trump's whistle blower saga still ongoing against the law that protects their identities, plus, Trump's impeachment in 2020!), plus other lunations, some stronger than others. (New and Full Moons may sometimes disrupt and/or reveal secrets much as eclipses like to do.)

And naturally, all Cancer and Capricorn eclipses relate to issues of authority, responsibility, ambition, use of power and control, family and security matters, and/or patriotism, both real and pretended. Plus, commerce, trade, and investment matters are often involved as well, and we should also include the potential for Moon-Saturn influences which may concern health.

Then came the 3 South December 26, 2019 Solar Eclipse with its "traumatic transformation" vibes (Brady) under which we now chafe in 2020 at least until the Summer Solstice 2020 Solar Eclipse (linked, below). And I'll add here a link to a previous post concerning the Spring Equinox 2020 Chart because it's 'good for' the entire year.

So here's the horoscope I've (somewhat snarkily) entitled, Happy Independence Day America 2020. (US Solar Return 2020 perfects July 4th at 4:58:57 pm edt--still with a Capricorn Moon and suggesting some 'unpleasant circumstances'.) Please enlarge the image to read my study notes if you wish and note that this Lunar Eclipse's Syzygy Moon is its 'Prenatal' Solar Eclipse ('PE') @00Can21; 4 North themes are penned upon the center of the chart:

So between the June 5, 2020 Lunar Eclipse @15Sag20 (not shown but linked, below) and the July 5th Lunar Eclipse you see, above, comes the Summer Solstice Eclipse 2020 which is Annular yet heralds significant world events with its tinge of 4 North influences. Chillingly, we might wonder if the spread of China's tragic coronavirus contagion disrupting the supply chain to the rest of the world is implicated here due to its potential for interrupting global financial markets. That could do it. Maybe this post should have opened with that.

And so, after studying these 2019 and 2020 eclipse horoscopes and typing this post, I must second Brad Friedman of The BradBlog the way he always ends his podcasts--with a wistful, Good Luck World.

Who was Paid What to Fast Track TPA? video - Thom Hartmann

TPA #TPP #FastTrack #FreeTradeDeals #USCongress #ThomHartmann

Well, America's natal Jupiter (the banker; the corporatist; the politician) of 1776 is at '6 Cancer' = "Game Birds Feathering Their Nests" and feather these pocket-liners do.

Source: America's traditional horoscope of the Declaration of Independence July 4, 1776, the date celebrated as Independence Day as recommended by the Founding Fathers, and of course you know that John Adams and Thomas Jefferson expired on the same day: July 4, 1826 with Sun conjunct goddess star, Sirius, which was probably their aim for their promoting that particular day as our nation's day of birth. So because of precession, every time we honor July 4th we are simultaneously honoring (aka, worshiping) Sirius-Isis.

Independence Day 2014: Happy 238th Birthday, America!

July 2014: America Turns Gray Around the Muzzle

by Jude Cowell

The horoscope of America's Solar Return 2014 actually favors that of Summer Solstice 2014 with Jupiter in Cancer rising but the Moon (We the People; the public mood) is no longer in Scorpio conjunct depressive, austere Saturn. Instead our national birthday Luna is in 4th house (chart set for Washington DC) and is positioned @12Lib23--nearing US natal Saturn (14:48), then conjoins Solar Return 2014 Mars @20Lib10, also in 4th house of Domestic Scene, Security, and Real Estate.

Moon-Mars has an angry signature or at least one of activism and protests and we certainly are experiencing these things already. In Mundane Astrology the sign of the Moon describes the mood of the public and in this case, it's Airy, detached Libra. We do not want more war yet the position of warrior SR 2014 Mars (god of war) spotlights the current Mars Return to America's Secondary Progressed (SP) Mars Rx and this indicates the current redeployment--Rx--of US troops (special forces, advisers, whatever you wish to call them) to Iraq, the theater of war that we so recently backed out of (Mars Rx.)

However, Libra is a war sign as well and is opposite Aries, the Mars-ruled sign of aggression, contention, and attacks.

Way beyond the scope of this post there is much to say about the situation in Iraq (and many pundits and perpetrators are now saying all over US airwaves) but let's now focus on America's 238th birthday which actually perfects (Sun to 13Can19 in our natal 'Sibly chart') on July 5, 2014 at 6:01:17 am edt.

Sun Cancer, Moon Libra is a square relationship between leader/s (Sun) and The People (Moon) which underscores the fact that the American people don't wish to be lied into any more foreign intrigues or invasions. Also on our not-not list are drone strikes which are against most people's ideas of how to treat our fellow beings but as you know, this hasn't stopped Global Government promoters from using America as its military arm of aggression and draconian actions. Even another financial meltdown is said to be in the works which wouldn't surprise this blogger at all--beware the auto loan bubble now inflating, dear reader!

So with this Water-Air blend of energies we find ourselves for the next 12 months dealing with issues rather ethereal and misty so it will require tremendous determination to address real world issues for we'll prefer the pleasant over the tough. Feelings and thoughts may blend together so that we can't separate one from the other and this adds to our indecisive behavior. Meanwhile, detached viewpoints may in reality be infused with bias, even prejudice. Procrastination often prevails under Water-Air influences and mistrust of others tends to abound.

Strange as it seems, there is a lack of strategy within leadership with this combo which will possibly be improved by the feminine talent of being aware of diffuse elements simultaneously--this will come in handy if anyone listens to the females in The Group (a novel by Mary McCarthy who shares the Sun Can-Moon Lib combo in her natal chart.)

Underlying influences of Sun Can-Moon Lib are, of course, the 'Moon-Venus' duo which points to issues of immigration, migrants, refugees, native populations, agricultural production (or its lack), manufacturing concerns, and preservation of cultures and their heritage (such as a caliphate set up in Iraq and Syria which erases the quirky boundaries of Iraq that Great Britain erected years ago against all common sense?)

Plus, as you remember, Sun Can-Moon Lib is the natal blend of George W. Bush who has so far stayed out of the limelight on current Iraq issues--afraid he'll be confronted and challenged in public concerning his quixotic, stupid mistakes, I imagine.

Well, graying America is careening along and turns 238 years old in a few days. Turn the years into degrees of the Zodiac and you get 28 Scorpio which conjoins President Obama's natal Midheaven, the point of Goals and Aspirations. To close, here is Dane Rudhyar on this degree:

"The King of the Fairies Approaches His Domain"...'Keynote: The capacity in man to recognize and to pay homage to an integrating Principle at the core of all existence'..."An inner ALLEGIANCE begins to polarize the consciousness." (An Astrological Mandala.)

Of polarization America has gracious plenty!

Full Moon 7.3.12 inspires video embed of Mysterious Structures

The Entire Sign of Capricorn a Mystical Labyrinth

by Jude Cowell

On July 3, 2012 a Full Moon occurs at 12Cap14 at 2:52 pm edt (Washington DC), the day prior to America's Independence Day 2012. Using the rounding-up method to determine degrees, the Sabian Symbol for the Full Moon of July 3rd is '13Cap' = "A Fire Worshiper" which relates to how man knows he must "--demonstrate his ultimate independence of his circumstances or else surrender his own potentialities forever. Here is ideality brought to the point of miracle. The keyword is MAGIC. When positive, the degree is extraordinary skill in enlisting every resource of the world for the exaltation of self and the consummation of its ambitions; negative: consistent overestimation of personal capacity."

Now in Campaign 2012, we are being encouraged--or propagandized, depending on your political viewpoint--by President Obama to move in a Forward direction, or, as some say, to Lean Forward. Then let's do so now with the July 3rd Full Moon and consider the next degree's symbol--'14Cap', for it is after all the Illumination Point of America's natal Sun degree @14Cancer (Sun = the leader) which will be triggered on July 4th at America's 236th birthday--a ritual of sorts:

'14Cap' = "An Ancient Bas-Relief Carved in Granite" relates to "--the ability of man to capitalize on opportunities thus brought to focus in himself and his world at large again and again. Here is an absoluteness of self as it proceeds to express itself with a true conviction, and a completeness of its achievement as it acts with the over-all perspective of which it is capable. The keyword is FOUNDATION. When positive, the degree is a gift for bringing all things into a pattern of convenience and thereupon precipitating an inevitability of desired results; negative: meaningless limitation."

(Source: The Sabian Symbols in Astrology by Dr. Marc Edmund Jones born Oct 1, 1888 8:37 am St. Louis, MO: ASC 10Sco08, Sun 8Lib50, Moon 16Leo34, Mercury 3Sco01, Venus 00Sco50, Mars 14Sag15, Jupiter 3Sag08, Saturn 17Leo14, Uranus 17Lib04, Neptune 2Gem08 Rx, Pluto 5Gem44 Rx, 3rd cusp = '12Cap'; as given by the author himself.)

And so, having '14Cap' prominent in my own natal chart, I hereby embed the following 43-minute video from History.com which was sent along by the excellent Forbidden Knowledge TV and illuminates all manner of ancient bas-reliefs, megaliths, henges of stone, and other mysteriously built monuments and observatories, as well as constellations such as Cygnus the Swan (or, The Vulture in some cultures.)

But this blogging Capricorn of a Saturnian Astrology persuasion isn't an 'alien-UFO' sort of gal so the video is presented in a spirit of entertainment for our July 4th holiday yet is meant also for those with archaeological interests, or even those with an artistic eye!

Now when the narrator goes into the "did aliens build it?" mode, that's when I feel expected to "strain at a gnat and swallow a camel" to paraphrase Scripture. For it seems much more likely to me that the mathematical principles--natural laws--which undergird our Universe and the architectural forms with which great structures were built in ancient eras--pyramids being a prime example--were discovered and understood by various cultures throughout history, or, as is probably the case--the knowledge of which were passed down through generations and this is how great structures such as cathedrals and henges were constructed in many spots all over the globe.

Why, the 'Sacred Geometry' of Freemasonry (aka, the Architecture of the Universe) is a perfect example of this passing down of information which provides mankind with the templates for understanding and utilizing universal principles as set forth by The Great Mathematician, our Creator.

Just look at the architecture of Washington DC and think of all the Founding Fathers who are known to have been Freemasons. If the Capitol Building and other structures in The District (with their domes topped by artful representations of goddess Venus as Isis, Freedom, Columba, Innana, etc) aren't Masonic 'temples', I'll lunch upon this keyboard...

Okay, I'll hush for now...enjoy!

Q: Did you know there's a Labyrinth Society? Neither did I.

Ode to Independence Day 2011 w Uranus in Gemini

Ode to Independence Day 2011

by Jude Cowell

"Perhaps it's time to shut down $17 billion worth of money going for reconstruction projects, when our track record really stinks," Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri) asserted on Thursday.

And if I'd found a visual of the June 30, 2011 hearing already posted in the
C-SPAN Video Library in case you missed appreciating Senator Claire McCaskill's justified performance on the subcommittee (one of many chaired by McCaskill on the topic of waste), the video would be added here but I may have tried too soon.

The formidable lady once again is not hearing the answers she wants and seems to be unimpressed with the unaccountability factor so rampant whenever Pentagon and private contractors toss in their lots with the US Department of Defense, the big-daddy bank roller in our messy Mesopotamian Occupations.

Among those called upon this week to testify as to who's in charge of our financial fiasco overseas, an Oath of Un-Accountability seems to have been taken yet perhaps McCaskill's pointed questioning will cause a majority of the American people to insist that Saturn's lessons of accountability and frugality be honored as August 28, 2011 nears. This date brings orbiting Saturn's return to sign and degree in America's natal chart of July 4, 1776 (14Lib48) and is under girding the current Debt Ceiling 'crisis' on Capitol Hill and the global financial results if the US defaults on her debts for the first time in our nation's history.

Can you imagine that the ones now driving the Washington jalopy of government want that little item of default to appear on their precious political resumes? They're total dolts, if they do.

Electric Uranus, the Brilliant Awakener

As you know, INDEPENDENCE and FREEDOM are words and concepts from the realm of planet Uranus, discovered by William Herschel in 1781 at a time betwixt the American and the French Revolutions, with US natal Uranus @ 8Gemini55 and ruled by Mercury.

(Q: can lower octave Mercury be said to 'rule' a sign of higher octave Uranus' placement? Hmm. Perhaps. As a pair, the combo of tech-savvy Mercury/Uranus = Thesis: business groups formed for purposes of initiating policies; labor coalitions or unions at work; modernization in transportation networks; Antithesis: riots, protests, strikes, or rebellions start due to ambitious goals that are ill-explained or undefined; reforms cause disruptions in transportation systems; use of propaganda in emergency situations. - M. Munkasey.)

Actually, I often think of Uranus as America's 'totem planet' or 'cosmic mascot' due in part to the centuries-long use of such slogans as the iconoclast and reformer inspires (exs: "Give me liberty, or give me death!" - Patrick Henry; our beloved 'freedom documents', etc.)

As in any horoscope, the sign of Uranus describes basic behavior, and we, as a nation and a populace, generally behave as if we're merely a bunch of youth-idolizing, never-grow-old, communicating, sometimes duplicitous, of-two-minds, quick-witted yet superficial Geminis, sign of the Jack of All Trades, and The Trickster. Meanwhile, our Saturn Return demands maturity!

Interestingly, transiting Hermes, aka, the trickster, magician, and alchemist, now sojourns beside traveler Uranus in early Aries! And Ebertin gives Uranus in Aries as, Utopians, which may well describe the sectarians who now force their slight-of-hand ideology upon congressional legislation on Capitol Hill in order to gum up the wheels of government. As you know, neocon Utopians want to drown all government (except for their own brand of anarchy) in a big'ole bath tub.

Uranus brings the chaos!

So this post is meant to be my Ode to Independence Day 2011 and I hope that if you've not yet witnessed or read Senator McCaskill's questions and remarks to certain contractors and others associated with construction projects in Afghanistan, you'll check it out with a sense of the true "Spirit of '76" as we may express it in 2011.

And I'm sending out a prayer for the future of our nation on this Fourth of July, a future without the throttling of life and the thievery of our treasury by the military industrial complex and their in-cahoots operatives and bankers, parasites as they be.

For your convenience, here's an image of the chart...

America's Scorpio Rising horoscope July 4, 1776 2:21 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA

As noted, this chart is useful as a natal horoscope for America (visit Michael O'Reilly's Neptune Cafe for more info - he champions this chart), or as a Spying Agencies horoscope timed by our first postmaster - aka, spymaster - Benjamin Franklin smiling enigmatically upon the US 100-dollar-bill as the Hour is shown upon the face of Independence Hall Clock, Philadelphia, just behind Old Ben, the Uranian genius.

As for the exact time for setting up a Scorpio Rising horoscope, I'd use 2:21, or 2:22, if you wish; however, adding up the digits, '6' was not, as far as I know, considered an auspicious number in the 18th century whereas '5' possesses different vibes all together, then as now. For '5' is in the quintile family of aspects - 72/144 degrees (talent.) The amiable Ben Franklin was an astrologer, Freemason, Rosicrucian, doctor, scientist, inventor, money printer, almanac publisher, and who knows what else, really.)

Plus, my point is that Dr. Franklin organized our early gaggle of scouts and spies into a more cohesive network of surveillance operatives. And my, how their web has grown.

No chart details are given today (for our holiday weekend is here!) But if you wish to read a few brief notes previously published concerning the US Scorpio Rising chart (the above image is shown there as well), then of course you freely may.

You'll find that the post focuses on the hidden square which appears in any version of the US natal chart you choose to use: 256 degrees between Uranus and Neptune, the enlightened ones. This aspect has an unconscious flavor which is why it's "hidden" so at first, some Americans may experience a 'that's not me!' or 'that's not us!" reaction. But if you will, let its implications and assertions sink in especially considering the dire circumstances our society is dealing with for Independence Day 2011 - and considering that it's the citizens of GREECE protesting Saturn's austerity cuts in the streets while we-the-people lounge next to our hamburger grills, freedom fries supposedly on our menus.

Do enlarge the image if you like, by clicking to read a few basic chart details though additional magnification may be necessary.

As a sample, here's one sentence from the Uranus/Neptune aspect's 'hidden square' traits which amounts to good advice and is just in time for our Fourth of July 2011 celebration since it relates to many of the ongoing and upcoming kerfuffles at the top of Washington's one-upsmanship political agenda which so often leaves the American people hanging by a thread:

If freedom is truly important to you, then you must have the courage to fight for it. (Planets in Aspect, R. Pelletier.)

Now with that Uranian message, I wish us all a Happy 235th Birthday, America!
Though foes undermine you at every turn, you remain my only nag in the race.

Yet it's only fair to say that for individuals and for nations, troubles are often self-created - especially when Congress continually neglects its oversight duties - what Senator McCaskill tries to improve upon - while leaders lie us into ill-advised wars begun with Jupiter the General retrograde, a sure signal of a war with a bottomless money pit, and no clear victor left standing.

Now either America is a government of-by-for The People, or she isn't.

The decision as to which one we'll have "going forward" has now plopped upon our national plate like a slice of birthday cake baked by the universal law of karma for everyone must reap what they sow. Even politicians and their chaos-mongering sponsors are not outside natural law as they grandly imagine themselves to be.

So in the Spirit of '76, I'll close with a paraphrase of what progressive broadcaster Thom Hartmann says at the end of each of his shows, and let that 'do':

Democracy begins when you show up...tag, you're it!
