DNC Aug 19, 2024: Visions and Dreams!

As you know, today is the first day of DNC 2024 in Chicago, Ilinois, under the auspices of April 2024's 8 North Solar Eclipse @19Ari24 conjunct priestly Chiron (19:24), the Christ archetype in Astrology. This repetition of 8 North is the third of our Great American Eclipses with themes of "visions, vivid dreams, inventiveness, flashes of genius, good ideas, new-found inspiration; freedom is needed for a few days" (B. Brady).

Here you see a bi-wheel of the natal horoscope of VP Kamala Harris (inner), who will accept the Democratic Party's nomination for president on Thursday evening (8/22), and the 8 North Eclipse Horoscope (outer) set for Chicago, Illinois:

For this post, the 8 North Eclipse chart is set for Chicago because of the location of DNC 2024 this week and DNC 2024 themes - her themes (listed, below) - and because locating the visionary 8 North Eclipse there places VP Harris' natal Moon (opposite her natal Sun: she's a Gibbous phase lady) atop the Midheaven ('MC'), the Career and Public Status Point. Plus, mundane Moon = publicity and the public mood. Moon in Aries is a very eager placement!

Note that potentials of Moon-MC = "strong soul ties; appreciation for home and family; people with feeling and sentiment; desire to care for others; a soul relationship with the female sex" (R. Ebertin).

Of course, there are other planetary contacts between the charts and I'm certain you'll spot them, plus, a few astro-notes are sprinkled around the charts including the Sabian Symbol for the 8 North Eclipse degree of "20Aries" = "A Young Girl Feeding Birds in Winter." To me this resonates with VP Harris' proposals that will strengthen families and aid children. However, she'll need victories in both the House and the Senate in order to implement her plans for a brighter future. So my hope is that DNC 2024's Blue Moon in the humanitarian, progressive sign of Aquarius will bring a Blue Wave in November!

Is Election 2024 a Jupiter Return to Election 2012?

Knowing that the orbit of planet Jupiter takes close to 12 years to complete, the cyclical return of Jupiter to a certain Zodiacal position takes about that long. And since Election 2012 was the successful re-election of President Barack Obama and VP Joe Biden, Election Year 2024 carries the cosmic imprint of a Jupiter Return to Election Year 2012. By a difference of one day, the 2012 Election was held on November 6th with Jupiter @14Gem33, and as you know, this year the Election is on November 5th with Jupiter Rx @20Gem06.

So we can see that The Jolly One has moved on by about 6 degrees from his 2012 position - similar to the way the American people have moved beyond grumpy old man Trump the frowny sour puss - and forward to the easy laughter and stellar political skills of VP Kamala Harris who believes in a progressive future for our country, not a dark past irrationally revisited under the yoke of a death cult.

For as you know, on November 5th our choice is between young vs old, future vs past, light vs dark, life vs death, folks! And a victorious Kamala Harris as President will need down-ballot victories, too, in both House and Senate in order to correct mistakes and move America toward the future. By Zoom call, VP Harris has accepted the Democrats' nomination and says she will officially accept next week at the DNC 2024, an event which will be cosmically imprinted by an Aquarian Full Moon.

In case you missed it, check out Thom Hartmann's overview of Trump entering his Fat Elvis phase of trying to recapture his faded glory. And of course, "fat" is a Jupiterian descriptor, plus, albatrossian Trump was born under a 2nd hou$e Stationary Jupiter in Libra with its constant refrain of, "it's not fair!," along with a hefty urge to break through boundaries including the boundaries of others.

Now if you wish, refresh yourself with details concerning Election 2012 held, as noted, on November 6, 2012 with Jupiter Rx @14Gem33. In 2024, the Election occurs on November 5, 2024 with Jupiter Rx clocking in @20Gem06.

And if out of curiosity, we search for the 2012 Election's Jupiter Return in 2024 we find three dates: 1. August 1st (yesterday!); 2. December 20, 2024 (see below); and 3. March 22, 2025, about one day after Spring Equinox 2025 (post with horoscope coming soon).

Now obviously, Mercury-ruled Gemini is the fluid Mutable (changeable) sign of communications, trade and commerce, thinking, teaching and learning, voting, decisions, travel, trickery, lies, theft, and a multiplicity of other things, while Jupiter operates in the realms of expansion, generosity, freedom, finances and banking, corporatism, politics, ideology, religion, law, justice, ethics, morality, civil service, and the list goes on.

Yet with transit Jupiter retrograde until October 9, 2024, we should add that today's news concerns what is now a softening of the US economy (ex: jobs numbers are down) as Republican Fed head Jerome Powell keeps interest rates up which continues helping Trump "win" in November. Finagling a recession in the US would make victory more difficult for VP Kamala Harris, but not impossible.

And so when Jupiter lumbers through Gemini - opposite Sagittarius, the sign it rules - we expect versatility, a variety of changes, making lots of contacts and connections, an obliging manner, an emphasis on those with carefree attitudes, but also a potential for superficiality, often a feature of skim-the-surface Gemini.

Then as Campaign 2024 trundles on, we're being "treated" to expansive fibs and fantasies from those who use deception and gaslighting (trickster Mercury ruling duplicitous Gemini) in order to achieve their take-over objectives and this identifies the win-at-any-cost crowd of cheaters and election fixers.

Meanwhile, in the context of the 2012 Election, we know that it was a Blue Wave of Democrats and Independentswho voted to re-elect President Obama and VP Biden so to avoid the tyrannical agenda of radical Republicans in November 2024 into 2025, a Blue Tsunami is needed to wash the dark-visioned saboteurs, including Fat Elvis, out to sea!

A Harris-Trump Debate? As if!

Our recent consideration of the Biden-Trump Debate included horoscopes of both the first (catastrophic) debate held on June 27, 2024, plus, the proposed debate of September 10, 2024. But conditions "on the ground" have changed, as you know, so now it's VP Kamala Harris who will likely be the Democratic presidential nominee rather than Joe Biden, our sitting president until Inauguration 2025.

Then you also know that the previously scheduled second debate in September has apparently been backed out of by Mr. Trump. Many folks assume that his reticence is due to fear of VP Kamala Harris and her debating skill, and naturally VP Harris will have to become the official presidential nominee for the Democratic Party by then - by August 7th, actually, last I heard.

Anyway, I thought it might interest some readers to have a stand-alone Debate Horoscope set for September 10, 2024 9:00 pm edt New York City, in case the Harris-Trump throwdown should actually occur. The planetary aspect grid is included with the chart which has my study notes messily penned on, and considering the Mutable Grand Cross present that evening, a Debate on September 10th was never a reliably scheduled event no matter who agreed to show up:

The line-up of CPAC 2021 speakers is a regular who's who of authoritarian fanatics of what some might call lovers of Nazism, gaggled together in Dallas, Texas from July 9th to 11th in the glorious year of 2021. Yay.

Follow the link to view a page of pandering portraits of the scheduled-to-speak culprits, most if not all Republicans (or purporting themselves to be) of the Trumpish persuasion. Will The Tr*mp blow in, cape swirling, like a conquering hero (thanks, Hil!), emboldened by rallies he hopes will be well attended? Or will ego deflation be in evidence because his mojo deserted him along with his former crowds of adoring fans?

Now July 2021 CPAC is less than a month away as I type but your guess is as good if not better than mine as to whether Herr Spanky will show or not in Dallas and in what condition. So it may be handy to have a peek at the July 9--11, 2021 time frame and see if there's anything interesting going on in the heavens which might reflect earthly proceedings in Texas and reveal information on US society's current condition.

Well, there is!

For in particular, a new cycle of activity begins within the darkness of a New Moon perfecting @18Can01:40 on July 9, 2021 and here's its horoscope set for Dallas, Texas:

As usual, my messy study notes are scribbled upon the chart for those who wish to read them, and a few of cowardly Tr*mp's natal planets are penned around the outside, highlighted in lavender. Rising is the Neptune-MC midpoint which is how this post got its "acting and pretending" title. But the Neptune-MC duo of 'deceit in career' also suggests potentials for 'criminal offenses, spies which undermine national security, and/or official scandals of very large scope or proportions' (Munkasey). Sounds familiar especially whenever agent orange is involved.

Now as you see in 1st house, CPAC Saturn Rx @11AQ49, chart-ruler making no applying aspects which emphasizes its sign and position, continues to oppose Tr*mp's natal Pluto (10Leo02 conjunct his deadly Mars-Saturn midpoint) so he has that karmic transit challenging his sense of power and control (Pluto in royal Leo). Karmic 'victim-savior' conditions are suggested due to the intercepted Virgo-Pisces polarity across the 2/8 axis of Money and Corporatism. Yet it's powerful, wealthy Pluto Rx @25Cap44 the plutocrat that rises first and leads a Locomotive shape of planets which suggests a ruthless high-powered executive determined on success. At any cost, no doubt, for the stakes are high.

However, the main point of this post is to emphasize The Goal of CPAC 2021 (MC = Midheaven @2Sco42) which is looking to and planning for the future as indicated by the 6 South Solar Eclipse of October 25, 2022 @2Sco00:06 conjunct this MC. So 6 South will be the Prenatal Solar Eclipse of Midterms 2022 when the GOP plans to "be forceful" and "take power." Yet we don't need Astrology or eclipse themes to reveal this for the GOP makes it obvious through their current election-rigging tactics and state legislations intended to oppress the vote (having to cheat to 'win' as they do). And who can forget Tr*mp's attempted 'Stop the Steal' coup of 1/6/21 and the threats of further violence that apparently are being planned? I'll never forget 1/6, will you?

Additional 6 South themes include 'exerting huge efforts in group activities' (Brady) and containing 'manic' energy. Can overly mild Democrats successfully meet and overcome such manic power and determination on behalf of democracy? That's this child of the Revolution's primary fret these days and it's why I keep posting here about such disturbing topics, including certain upcoming eclipses (which are known to influence historical events).

So speaking of historical events, we've previously discussed the fact that the October 25, 2022 6 North Eclipse @2Scorpio is a repetition of the Nazis Rise to Power Eclipse of 1932. Now this eclipse repeating in our day may not make you, dear reader, feel fretful for America's sake but for me the repetition of 6 South themes functions as a cosmic signpost on the way to authoritarianism, or what some call 'fascism in America' - unless the forces of democracy meet its vicious anti-societal energies head-on with equal if not greater strength.

Then to further complicate matters, Midterms 2022 on November 8th will include a Lunar Eclipse @16Tau00:53 ("-swords vs torches"!) which is marked on this CPAC horoscope in the foundational 4th house, not too far from the disruptive anarchist and radical reactionary planet of zealotry Uranus (@14Tau06 - conjunct Menkar and US Inaugural Ascendant = the Presidential Oath of Office). So if a Uranian change of presidents is on anyone's menu for whatever reason, may it be VP Kamala Harris stepping in!

Note: if you wish to view both the New and Full Moons of July 2021 set for Washington, DC try this. Curiously, the July Full Moon @1AQ26 does spotlight the US Inaugural Sun (00AQ+) - and Full Moons time culmination stages, don't they? And can act in similar revealing fashion as lunar eclipses.
