Israeli flotilla attack from a Palestianian perspective

News of the violent May 30, 2010 Israeli flotilla attack is being reported by all corporate-controlled, NWO-promoting mainstream news sources and alternative sites as well yet I sallied forth into cyberworld seeking a Palestinian source with a necessarily different viewpoint.

The old propaganda engines have become tiresome, y'know? And Israel's Siege of Gaza needs to end for humanitarian reasons, terrorists included or not.

So you may wish to try Ma'an News Agency for a different p.o.v. without all the imperialism creeping in. What creeps in? Well, I can't promise you that nothing will but sometimes you just have to take a chance on a click!

One thing I know: the US and Israel are working to start another war. It's their accustomed M.O. and the May 30 flotilla mayhem may bear likeness to the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin incident that falsely undergirded America's entry into Vietnam.

And the propaganda of nationalism in the US assisted the American people down the trail to ruin as it continues to do today.

US invasions 1898 - 1934 and the Free World

"Between 1898 and 1934, the Marines invaded Cuba 4 times, Nicaragua 5 times,Honduras 7 times, the Dominican Republic 4 times, Haiti twice, Guatemalaonce, Panama twice, Mexico 3 times and Columbia 4 times," Washington has intervened militarily in foreign countries more than 200 times."

"If the people are not convinced (that the Free World is in mortal danger) it would be impossible for Congress to vote the vast sums now being spent to avert danger. With the support of public opinion, as marshalled by the press, we are off to a good start. It is our Job - yours and mine -- to
keep our people convinced that the only way to keep disaster away from our shores is to build up America's might."

- Charles Wilson, Chairman of the Board of General Electric and Truman appointee to head the Office of Defence Mobilization, in a speech to the Newspaper Publishers Association, 1950 #

And if you'd like to view the horoscope with a few details of America's first ever overthrow of Hawaii - if you'd like to snag a peek, please click.

Or you may wish to try our nascent overthrow's birth chart here which has an image of the chart with some details - including info on the current Neptune-Pluto septile (51 degr 26 mins), as aspect said to be karmic in nature.

1890 Hawaii's innocence! How blatantly imperialist could the US government have been? Admittedly, we were young in the occupation business, but we're older than that now. You'd think we should know better, but apparently we don't.

And fearless "leaders" don't care - they're busy stirring things up!

Ah yes, the 1890s: the Gilded Age, the Generation of Materialism = the Robber Barons' collusions marked by the Great Conjunctions of Neptune-Pluto 7 - 9 Gemini, where asteroid Midas, of gold-hoarding fame, now transits.

Well, I agree that sugar can be dangerous, but really now.

The Roman Empire bludgeoned. Must we continue the model, Pres. Obama?

Is Obama ensnared within an imperial presidency?

Obama and the Imperial Presidency

By Jack Balkin

The Bush administration has worked hard to increase presidential power. Will Barack Obama give it up?

~:~

Yes, we've all been wondering about that.

If Obama as commander-in-chief stops Bush's tactic of using boatloads of sneaky signing statements as end-runs-around-Congress and reverses many of Bush's draconian policies, perhaps the question will become: can Obama use whatever presidential power he has more wisely and on behalf of we-the-people as it was originally intended?

1898 speech echoes 2008 campaign issues

One-hundred-ten years ago, on Dec 5, 1898 William Jennings Bryan delivered a message which reverberates into the 2008 presidential campaign - its issues, jingoisms, and propaganda-touting.

As you know, orators of the past were expected to speak for quite some time - a speech resembling today's 'sound bites' would have been considered a complete flop and a huge disappointment to entertainment-starved audiences everywhere.

The speech I've dug up for you, 'Imperialism', touches upon many topics of current value, not the least of which is a Republican house of representatives who complied with President McKinley's request for the authority to increase our standing army to 100,000.

Bryan called a large standing army, "not only a pecuniary burden to the people," but much more: "it is ever a menace to a Republican form of government."

Today we should recognize these things by well-worn experience, and yet the GOP still has its way in the realm of war profiteering and expansionist policies a la 2008.

Bryan paraphrases Abe Lincoln in his speech, "In 1859 Lincoln said that the Republican party believed in the man and the dollar, but that in case of a conflict it believed in the man before the dollar."

My, some things have changed, haven't they? Unless you're one of the elect few, that is - the cream of the one-world-government crop.

1898 (the decade when the Robber Baron class got its claws into every pie) and Bryan almost wholly could have been speaking of the 2008 presidential campaign when he said:

"Against us are arrayed a comparatively small but politically and powerful number who really profit by Republican policies; but with them are associated a large number who, because of their attachment to their party name, are giving their support to doctrines antagonistic to the former teachings of their own party."

Bryan goes on to discuss, among other things: the gold standard, the greenback, imperialism in the Philippines and Cuba, the paralyzing influence of imperialism, and then gives the four principle arguments advanced by those who enter upon a defense of imperialism.

He then identifies to whom each argument is addressed ('addresst'):

1. the nation's pride
2. the nation's pocketbook
3. the church member
4. the partisan

If any of this sounds familiar, it's because they're using the same tactics in the 21st century! If it works, why change, right?

So is America caught in a loop of self-destruction she can't break out of? Is she too dizzy to see she's being duped yet again?

Now I know that a vote in November may bring little improvement if you vote for the Dems. But if you vote for the Republicans you can be certain of encouraging the cynical imperialists who have been misdirecting our nation for a over a century.

What's it to be?

Change? Hope? Or simply the audacity and hubris of nation-rotting, Republic-destroying imperialism?

Spotlight on Homeland Security 11.25.02

Stars Over Washington has previous posts concerning the Department of Homeland Security but today I published a Page at Jude's Threshold with details on DHS' natal chart if you wish to take a peek. While there, please add imperialism to the list of -isms for Pluto/Chiron.

My original wet-behind-the-bloggedy-ears HoSec post from Nov 20, 2005 may be found here--image of this money-grubbing boondoggle's natal chart included but with none of my messy notes gouged upon it.

Pluto/Chiron class warfare going fine, thanks

Global Hunger, Corporate Greed:

When will enough be enough?

By Debnath Guharoy

Systemic deception has become acceptable culture in too many boardrooms, with nothing more than a wink and a nod required down the chain of command. When it gets to a point that an accountant is unable to explain complex new financial instruments and their equally befuddling acronyms, disaster cannot be far away.

World revolution IS the game, hunger and chaos are musts in the hidden hand's plan for world mastery. And as we see these days all is going extremely well for them with more consitutional crises on the way.

Howard Zinn on the American empire

Empire or Humanity?

What the classroom didn't teach me about the American empire

By Howard Zinn

With an occupying army waging war in Iraq and Afghanistan, with military bases and corporate bullying in every part of the world, there is hardly a question any more of the existence of an American Empire. Indeed, the once fervent denials have turned into a boastful, unashamed embrace of the idea.

another Bush clampdown on freedom

News Update from Citizens For Legitimate Government Feb 11, 2008

All items are here: LegitGov Breaking News

Bush orders clampdown on flights to US--EU officials furious as Washington says it wants extra data on all air passengers:

The US administration is pressing the 27 governments of the European Union to sign up for a range of new security measures for transatlantic travel, including allowing armed guards on all flights from Europe to America by US airlines. The demand to put armed air marshals on to the flights is part of a travel clampdown by the Bush regime that officials in Brussels described as "blackmail" and "troublesome", and could see west Europeans and Britons required to have US visas if their governments balk at Washington's requirements.

According to a US document being circulated for signature in European capitals, EU states would also need to supply personal data on all air passengers overflying but not landing in the US in order to gain or retain visa-free travel to America, senior EU officials said.#

This reminds me of what may be a similarly themed issue: building walls on the border between the US and Mexico--and I can't shake the feeling that it's meant as much to isolate the American people as to keep others out. The above-mentioned "blackmail" seems part of the same ploy.

Then there's the recent mysterious cutting of Iran's internet cables. And although I would be among the first to suspect the Bush regime or others in the cutting yet I can't help but wonder if it's the Iranian government closing in on the Iranian people, just as the Bush-Cheney 1% gang is busily doing to America.

Hmm...this "feeling" is probably simply a part of the fear-esque atmosphere they're advancing upon us 24 hours a day, for years on end. Right?

Or perhaps another mixed "blessing" from Mr. Freedom-is-the-default-position-of-humanity!

no exit: fiasco was their goal

As I've been saying:

It's the Oil

By Jim Holt

Iraq is 'unwinnable', a 'quagmire', a 'fiasco': so goes the received opinion. But there is good reason to think that, from the Bush-Cheney perspective, it is none of these things. Indeed, the US may be 'stuck' precisely where Bush et al want it to be, which is why there is no 'exit strategy'.

George hearts Hillary?

From LegitGov.org:

Bush quietly advising Hillary Clinton, top Democrats 24 Sep 2007 President [sic]

Bush is quietly providing back-channel advice to Hillary Rodham Clinton, urging her to modulate her rhetoric so she can effectively prosecute the war in Iraq, if elected president. In an interview for the new book "The Evangelical President," White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten said Bush wants enough continuity in his Iraq policy that "even a Democratic president would be in a position to sustain a legitimate presence there." To that end, the president has been sending advice, mostly through aides, aimed at preventing an abrupt withdrawal from Iraq in the event of a Democratic victory in November 2008. [OMG! Dictator Bush - who can't even sustain a 'legitimate presence' in the White House --is giving advice on sustaining a 'legitimate presence' in Iraq?! --LRP]#

It would be hillary-arious if it weren't so imperialistic. If legitimacy is Bush's strong suit, it's that old emperor's clothes fairytale his administration began with in 2000.

imperialism's militarism

Evil Empire

Is Imperial Liquidation Possible for America?

By Chalmers Johnson

The United States, today, suffers from a plethora of public ills. Most of them can be traced to the militarism and imperialism that have led to the near-collapse of our Constitutional system of checks and balances. Unfortunately, none of the remedies proposed so far by American politicians or analysts addresses the root causes of the problem.

Plutocrats: Generation of Materialism

Although the Great Conjunction of Neptune and Pluto (oil, gas, water, mining) marks the beginning of the Golden Age of the Robber Baron Class of the 1890s, Pluto and Chiron were hanging out together back in the day when the robber barons, crime barons--the pirate class--cemented and studied cementing their hold on natural resources, political power, and so on.

And the world banking system is implicated, natch. Wall Street gentry, as Eugene Debs termed them so appropriately.

Plus, the Uranus/Chiron (the system busters) midpoint is conjunct this Ascendant 5Leo38, which is less than 2 degrees from GWB's natal Ascendant. And he's a real system-buster and boundary-ignorer, as we've observed.

>>2006 - 1881 = 125, so add 125 degrees to NN 18Sag43, and it's Solar Arc NN conj natal Mercury at the top of the chart. Merc/NN = common or joint plans; meetings; communicating with the public.

So the Merc/NN Sabian Symbol, "19 Ari" is: "The magic carpet"> PANORAMA:

pos: full realization of the broad endowment which every man may make his own;

neg/unconscious/shadow side: detachment from ordinary living and a scorn for its responsibilities.

(And scorn for the ordinary folk who play by the rules, I assume...we're the pigeons and chumps.)

The midpoint between Plu/Chir in late degrees of Taurus is very near the Great Jupiter/Saturn conj of May 28, 2000, and only a whistle away from Fixed Star, Caput Algol...nasty.

Algol's keywords: decapitation; losing one's head; sickness; violence; criminality; murder; horror. (Horary Astrology, Anthony Louis.)

Diana Rosenberg reports that Caput Algol is the fixed star most often active in charts of harmful fires.

Wish I could say more now, esp since I've spread such joy all about...have the Secondary Progr'd Chart, etc, right here, but it is growing late. (In too many ways, my friends.)

And as to the common swill being passed around, we don't have time to be forced back onto belly-button-gazing mode yet again.

Committees proliferate more committees while making certain people look busy--and they help cover shiny patooties the world over...esp in varmint-infested Washington.
