On Apr 25, 2013 a Lunar Eclipse and Jupiter left his Rx Shadow

According to my Solar Fire software, it was on the day of a partial Lunar Eclipse @5Sco45, April 25, 2013, that investing Jupiter reached his retrograde shadow degree of October 5, 2012 (16Gem22:47) and has thankfully surpassed it. Will investment, growth, and development now be allowed by Washington DC politicians and their corporate patrons? Will those tiresome ideological gurus break through the barriers set purposely by Saturnian forces of austerity and obstructionism and water this plant we call America?

In fact, will the baby be allowed to drown in the bathtub or, will more balanced thinking prevail and the needs of the people be addressed even with war on the horizon once again? Will Jupiter's role as The General take precedence over all other collective imperatives? Heads up: West Coast astrologer Julie Demboski has published a very interesting piece on April 25th's Lunar Eclipse titled Eclipse Effect: Seeing a Splinter of the Shadow, and of course, publishing and broadcasting are provinces of expansive Jupiter as well.

And of course the most obvious and sudden use of Jupiter's change of direction occurred the very day after April 25, 2013 when Congress rushed with what has become their unaccustomed speed to 'fix the sequester cuts' for the FAA so that the flying public (especially air traveling congress members themselves about to leave DC for a break) would not be inconvenienced by long lines at airports. Seniors depending on Meals On Wheels for basic sustenance are still waiting for lunches which barely get them by even when Congress doesn't have it in for them so blatantly. And of course, Head Start kids unlucky in lotteries aren't on the GOP's flight schedule at all--so far. Repeal of the self-inflicted sequestration damage to the economy would do much to lift our Jupiterian concerns off the ground--at least for those of us who wish for America to succeed rather than fail.

Yet in spite of Congress' self-serving action on Friday, Jupiter may not function at his best when traversing Airy, Mercurial Gemini which can be capriciously unstable and full of woe at times; moneybags Jupiter will seem more, shall we say, amenable, once 'he' enters Moon-ruled Cancer, sign of America's natal Venus (3Can+), Jupiter (5Can56), and Sun (13Can19), and will eventually reach our national Mercury Rx (24Can11 in monied 8th house and opposing natal Pluto Rx @27Cap33 in 2nd house of the National Treasury.) Pleasantly, Jupiter tends to relate to others better from Cancer, sign of the self-protective, shrewd Crab yet Cancer is a very creative and business-oriented sign. With Jupiter in Cancer, it may be profitable to invest in ocean or water-related industries, plus, home-centered projects, domestic products and food supplies.

Hopefully (a Jupiterian word!), our nation will now be able to get some things situated so that enthusiastic improvements may be made toward prosperity, not austerity (which does not lead to prosperity except for the toffs and crooks who force it upon others in their plutocratic, mercantilistic, thieving kind of way.) Update 4.30.13 4:47 pm: I just noticed an interesting Jupiter-moves-forward development relating to the planet's freedom function--President Obama has again vowed to close Gitmo so one assumes that the prison populace, many of whom are on hunger strike, will gain their freedom from the promised closing of that sorry abomination if this is accomplished...now that Jupiter freely moves forward in the Zodiac.

Stephen Colbert interviews graduate student Thomas Herndon who discovered in writing a paper for his professor that the spreed sheets used to justify the benefits of austerity measures contain faulty numbers, plus, the much-cited Growth in a Time of Debt by Rogoff and Reinhart completely leaves out the improved economies of Australia and others in order to further support their faulty conclusions that austerity is beneficial.

As noted on this blog previously, austerity cuts are a huge mistake, the kind of 'mistake' people make in order to force their selfish ideology on to those who didn't cause the engineered crises that are allegedly being cured, and to grab more of the world's resources for themselves. "Austerity is counter productive," says Mr. Herndon, and the suffering caused in countries with austerity-implementing governments is now laid plainly at the hooves of such politicians--including those obstructionist Ayn Rand-ers of Washington DC.

Why? To crash the global economy to the point where populations plead for any system to be set up--even a devilish 'new world order'!

Will Sen. Roy Blunt step down over Monsanto Protection Act?

Just a quick heads-up concerning the hideously frankenteinian Monsanto Protection Act championed by Missouri Senator Roy Blunt who is being asked by the Organic Consumers Association to step down from his lofty senate perch of special privilege.

Wonder how many pesos it takes for a US senator to sell out the American people, their health, and the safety of our nation's food supply like this? Well, you know that on July 4, 1776, asteroid Ceres (grains, food supply, milk, nurturance, mother, etc) was in Pisces and was unfortunately infused by the midpoint of the oppressive, combined energies of that plutocratic duo, Pluto and Chiron. Reminds me of the Dust Bowl and other busts and collapses that were engineered into food shortages and famine caused by over-planting and other such methods that abuse Mother Earth and mock all common sense.

Besides that, there's at least one conservative, Duane Graham, who is decidedly unimpressed with Mr. Blunt when it comes to gun issues and the NRA. Actually, the more I read about 'Blunt', the more he sounds like a dud. How plainly awful for us that Capitol Hill is infested and crawling with such duddish varmints, charlatans, and crooked pocket-liners these days.

Too bad leviathan Monsanto has no cure for the political infestation that ails us.

You know if it weren't so tragic it would be almost amusing to see if the Republican Party hops aboard the Obama Terror Initiative as they so enthusiastically did with the Bush-Cheney terror regime of the New Millennium which was ushered in by Nostradamus' 'Mother of All Eclipses"/"King of Terror Eclipse" of August 11, 1999 with the Oxen, Lion, Eagle, and Angel Points of the Fixed (rigid) Cross triggered as predicted in The Book of Revelation.

Now that the tables are turned, and considering the party's obstructionist role as Obama's political foil, will the American public soon be subjected to a GOP pretzel-twist by anti-Obama Republicans so that their "patriotism" isn't questioned by Democrats and the lame stream media?

Well, I've been wondering when Neptune traversing its own sign of Pisces would lead to mysterious poison events and threats and it looks like the time is now.

In another event, a letter including a suspicious substance has been preliminarily identified by authorities as ricin fouling up a letter sent to President Obama, and here we go again.

If we think there's a pattern to this story--a terrorist act is committed, then poisoned letters are sent to politicians--we're of course remembering 9/11/01 and subsequent anthrax events about which there were many questions never answered by the FBI. As TV programs began to show the video/s of the bombing at the Boston Marathon on Monday, I said to self, they'll replay this sight and sound over and over as with the attacks of 9/11 just in case there's one American who doesn't yet have it embedded within their consciousness and who isn't trembling at the thought of attending large gatherings. And so pundits have repeated themselves as their breathless speculations about the crime continue 24/7 with occasional tidbits of fact sprinkled in to keep us hooked.

It pains me to say this about my country, but if a law or laws are changed with these recent events used as justification, we may have a clue to who's really behind such anti-society events as their motivation is made clear and our freedoms are more restricted. {UPDATE 4/20/13: see Boston Lockdown: the New Normal?}

That said, my favorite remarks concerning Monday's difficult events in the wonderful city of Boston are made by Stephen Colbert during last evening's The Colbert Report:

Yes, the current Solar Eclipse season (which began in November 2012) continues to provide the collective with much Scorpionic energy including secrets revealed, leaks, betrayals, big business perfidy, and, sorry to say, death. For as you know, Scorpio's Mars-Pluto influences include brutality and tremendous force as well as weapons of war and the Pentagon.

Eclipses as 'Wild Cards' with Uranian 'Sudden Events' Portents

Next up is a Lunar Eclipse on April 25, 2013 which is also in Scorpio (5Sco45 at 3:57 pm EDT.) Yet hopefully events and influences in society will lighten somewhat in May and through the summer when the next Solar Eclipse occurs in the 15 South Saros Series on May 10th. But wait! Let me reserve judgment on its effects since its flavors seem to be somewhat mixed. According to Bernadette Brady in her excellent book, Predictive Astrology, the theme is:

The May 10, 2013 Solar Eclipse @20Taurus in 15S: 'a lingering situation suddenly clears with a release of tension and a sense of grief or loss that is more collective than personal.'

See what I mean? And of course, Taurus is the polar sign of Scorpio. The undertone is, of course, the ongoing Uranus-Pluto square which is also affecting members of Congress. Today's poor performance by the Senate is an example of the blockage and frustration of this titanic Cardinal square. Shame on a scaredy cat Congress indeed whose big donations to keep their cushy seats mean more to most of them than acting to protect our children.

And so my heart goes out to Boston, its inhabitants, and Monday's victims and their loved ones as I echo Stephen Colbert: Stay strong, America!

Sources are reporting that in Boston, police have arrested a suspect. Quick work, isn't it? Wonder if the perpetrator didn't realize he'd/she'd be caught on a gazillion cellphone videos? UPDATE: no suspect has been arrested. A media running about like headless chickens were in a word, incorrect. My apology. I did think it was a quick arrest--too quick, turns out. jc

JFK: "--a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy--" (audio-video w Astrology)

Well, here it is, an excerpt of a speech President Kennedy gave to the American Newspaper Publishers' Association on April 27, 1961 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel NYC in which he lays his dove-gray gloves on the table and sets himself against a certain entity which "--relies on covert means--" to affect their goals. "--no secret is revealed," asserts JFK though one assumes his remarks didn't suit someone or another since he was completely taken out of the political picture by November 22, 1963:

And what of April 27, 1961? Anything interesting going on overhead with the planets which might fall into the 'As Above, So Below" category as relating to our topic?

First, if you wish, check out a full text of Mr. Kennedy's speech here for it's quite illuminating. Although I've not located the exact hour he began to speak, he does refer to "tonight" so for this reason, and because at 8:00 pm EST NYC a powerful midpoint forms overhead at Midheaven, the Goal Point of any horoscope, I'm using '8:00 pm EST' NYC for the speculative timing of a horoscope of his April 27, 1961 speech. Here are the early Virgo midpoint picture's potential manifestations:

Pluto-NN = MC: one's future depends on contacts and associations; life objectives influenced by associations which cause career setbacks (Ebertin); associations with others are the sine quo non of success (Tyl); life-altering contacts with others.

As you know, the Pluto-NN pairing has connotations which include: the common destiny of a large mass of people; life-significant relationships; mass meetings; identification with a larger group; breakdowns in security (as in Dallas, TX on November 22, 1963?) This pair working in tandem has been called the "tiger by the tail" duo and I allege that President Kennedy may have grabbed the wrong end of the animal all through his presidency with the tragedy of assassination as the result.

As for the Sun (leader; the president) and Moon (populace; publicity) that evening, Sun is in Venus-ruled Taurus, a money sign with a seamy underbelly of greed, intolerance, and bigotry, with the Moon in Airy Libra, a double-Venus signature.

The Sun Tau-Moon Libra combo identifies the evening's 'cosmic personality' as that of a persuasive and diplomatic realist, a social theorist, and philosopher. It is shared natally by precisely the kind of folk we often think of when we think of "ruthless conspiracy" groups--Adam Weishaupt's Bavarian Illuminati, formed May 1, 1776 in Ingolstadt, Germany, and having very similar outer planet placements as America (July 4, 1776.) This Sun-Moon blend overemphasizes rational solutions to every sort of problem, a trait which supports the Uranus-Neptune 'Illuminati' signature of The Enlightenment of Science, Logic, and secular Humanism.

Aptly, the Taurus-Libra blend is also shared natally by India's Golda Meir who informed us that, "A leader who doesn't hesitate before he sends his nation into battle is not fit to be a leader."

Tragically for the American people and for the nations and treasures we set our caps upon, our leaders long ago forgot how to make that fair assessment from within the cesspool of intrigue and favor-dispensing in which our presidents operated from deep inside our Venusian Oval Office.
