The Natal and Progressed Chiron of Donald Trump

Chiron as Mentor, Wound, Healer, Blind Spot, and The Key to Self-Awareness

Here you see a hand drawn version of the Secondary Progressions ('SP') of Donald Trump set for today, June 27, 2019, and showing his SP Chiron @19Lib39 in SP 12th house conjunct SP Venus, SP Siva (the creator-destroyer), and natal Jupiter.

Listed on the chart, lower left, is his natal 2nd house trio of Neptune 5Lib50 Rx, Chiron 14Lib54 (conjunct US natal Saturn--he wounds our legal system and institutions and/or is wounded by them), and boundary-breaking Jupiter Stationary Direct @17Lib27. Now as you know, the Jupiter-Neptune pair is one of grand spirit, feeling quietly special (quietly?), rumor and scandal, inflation, balloons and bubbles, high promises, idolatry, speculation, political conflicts, and tricky legalisms. That blind spot Chiron is in the midst of this expansive pair of energies calls for some serious consideration, perhaps in a future post, but at the least, it appears that some measure of Trump's speculating, overpromising, seduceable behavior is unconsciously perpetrated. He 'just can't see it' so exactly how much self-awareness Trump has to employ is something of a mystery to me, if not to you.

Yes, it's all very fascinating concerning this complex, flawed individual yet much of it is beyond the scope of this post for my main objective today is to share details concerning the natal and progressed Chiron of Donald Trump, blind spots, flaws, wounds, and all.

So here, by gracious permission of the author, master astrologer Richard Nolle, are details on Trump's natal Chiron in Libra in 2nd house, and his SP Chiron progressed into 12th house quoted from Richard's excellent book Chiron: The New Planet in Your Horoscope, The Key to Your Quest. (Center left on the chart see Chiron conjunct chart-ruler Venus.) And note that we find from Trump's wide conjunction natally and his closer SP conjunction of Chiron and Jupiter that he's a 'zealot on a mission'--a maverick 'always chasing rainbows' and broadcasting expansive, fanciful visions which he sells to his gullible supporters. And though buyer's remorse has begun to set in for many of his victims (exs: US farmers; factory workers; voters) he remains ensconced in the Oval Office as I type...fearful, desperate, and dreading legal exposure and accountability via Robert Mueller's July 17th testimony on Capitol Hill while tweeting a lot--usually insults--and sleeping very little as Election Day 2020 creeps ever nearer.

So following are details from Richard Nolle interspersed with a few observations by yours truly.

Chiron in Libra, sign of relationships, focuses on just that "both concretely and in the abstract," writes Richard Nolle. Chiron's mentorship function when in Venus-ruled Libra involves "comprehending one's impact on others" for this transactional fellow and requires a mentor "whose all-encompassing vision creates an aesthetic order from the mysterious matrix of chaos." Yes, Uranian Trump admits he rules by chaos! And to me his Chiron in Libra placement in part reveals Hegelian machinations probably taught him by his favorite mentor, the unethical, disbarred lawyer Roy Cohn--to create a problem or a difficult condition, then rush in playing the hero who solves everything, usually by doing what he was determined to do in the first place. This resonates with Big Donnie's 'only I can fix it' mentality although successful outcomes are so very debatable. Still, the job of sabotaging America gets done in one way or another and he is proud to be chosen as the public leader of the pack (of jackals).

Natal Chiron in 2nd house of Values and Possessions

"Value is an important keyword to this natal Chiron position. Despite its unfortunate commercial connotations, value means far more than just a price tag. The things you value most are the ones you take for granted, the ones which in their absence would have a way of turning your whole life topsy-turvy. With this Chiron placement often comes a strong proselytizing urge aimed at preserving one's values for posterity by cultivating these values in others. For these natives, fulfillment may consist of developing their various gifts and imparting them in a legacy to others, whose appreciation is accepted as a testimonial to the very value that means so much to the native.

Should they fall prey to the misguided notion that theirs are the only true values, these people can become cynical and manipulative in the extreme. But as long as they realize there can only be dishonor in placing one's own values over and against all others, they are not likely to suffer messianic delusions. The key to self-fulfillment for those born with this Chiron emphasis generally entails learning to handle some natal endowment, perhaps a talent, trait or socio-cultural legacy. Through these and like possessions they are led to a meeting with the mentor who will reveal to them their path of destiny."

Did Roy Cohn and perhaps Roger Stone reveal to 'messianic' Trump his path of destiny--to the White House? Stone and others encouraged Trump for decades toward his political ambitions.

To this placement, Richard adds that a 2nd house Chiron is shared natally by cultist-writer L. Ron Hubbard, populist politician Louisiana's Huey P. Long, and conservative writer-politician Clare Booth Luce. Quite a controversial bunch of propagandists!

Now for Trump's SP Chiron in the 12th House of Politics, Karma, Self-Undoing, and Hidden Enemies

"Isolation is always in some sense a keyword for this Chiron type which symbolizes one who chooses to be as far from the crowd as possible (physically or psychically, as the case may be). Of course no one is an island, so to speak, bt to the extent these natives do take part in society they do so by playing a tile which is at most merely a fraction of their full individuality. They seem to belong to two worlds (maybe ore), and the world of commonsense reality tends not to be their strong suit. Nevertheless some of them play a role that attracts public notice. When this happens the native generally manages to maintain privacy despite the limelight by projecting a deliberate smokescreen. Through misinformation, exaggerated behaviors or otherwise acting out of character, this type is adept at maintaining a private sanctuary even under the most inhospitable circumstances.

Self-imposed solitude is no mere affectation for these people. They are alone with their inner selves not just be choice but by necessity. It is a path of self-transformation, whether personally chosen or imposed by others, that brings the native through a 'black night of the soul' -- from which no one can emerge who is not transmuted."

Richard adds examples of those with natal Chiron in 12th house including ventriloquist Edgar Bergen, anthropologists Margaret Mead and Carlos Castaneda, would-be assassin of racist presidential candidate George Wallace Arthur Bremer, boxing champion
Muhammad Ali, and astrologer Tracey Marks, author of Your Secret Self: Illuminating the Mysteries of The Twelfth House, a revelatory book that even Donald Trump might benefit from if only he would read more than one page at a time. Of course, we know that he's perfectly satisfied with himself so no transmutation is to be expected any time soon--not by choice, that is.

And on the possibility of a 'black night of the soul' for Donald Trump, my suspicion is that this is what he now experiences every long and tweety night as he awaits the dropping of whatever hammer (if any!) that has his scofflaw name on it.

The GOP Has No Alternative to Obamacare Because the ACA WAS The Republican Plan - video

In March 2010, the Affordable Care Act was signed into law by President Obama while transit Neptune sat upon America's natal Moon in Aquarius, aka, We the People, and the Great Conjunction/s of the inflationary/speculator/wastrel pair, Jupiter and Neptune, had sprinkled dreamy fairy dust over our Moon and hearts all through 2009, Mr. Obama's first year in office. Little sense of reality prevailed and big promises were made and believed by the more gullible among us.

The Jupiter-Neptune Financial Travails of Marco Rubio

Astrology and the 2015 Campaign Pitfalls of Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL)

One of the stories that has gained traction in the news concerns 2016 candidate Senator Marco Rubio is his financial past deeds or misdeeds. It is told that he was in possession at one time of a party/corporate charge card which he used and when the bills came in if charges were his, he paid them (see video link, below) although, in spite of his opponents remarks, this is not an unusual arrangement. Helpfully a few hours ago, The New Yorker Magazine published a Guide to Marco Rubio's Messy Personal Finances for our consideration.

Yet without even a peek at their Guide, astrologers know that a man such as Marco Rubio, born May 28, 1971 in Miami, Florida, manifested upon the earthly plane under the speculative auspices of a Jupiter-Neptune conjunction which tends in one realm to provide its native with grand plans and possibly a grand spirit. Before we thud to the earthly plane for Jupiter and Neptune, let's note the year 1971 and the three great Conjunctions of money planet Jupiter and nebulous if not fraudulent Neptune:

3, September 16, 1971 @00Sag37

As you see, 00-3 Sagittarius is where Saturn has recently trod and is still within orb--Saturn to Rubio's natal Jupiter (00Sag55) is the 'time to give back' transit; Saturn to natal Neptune is the 'dream come true vs grim face of reality' transit--perhaps both, if you're running for president.

Also note that the last and current cycle of Jupiter and Neptune, the one we're now influenced by, began in 2009 and is imprinted upon the presidency of Barack Obama and the American public because the dreamy, unrealistic pair conjoined upon US natal Moon (We the People) in the range of 24--27 Aquarius and describes such events and conditions that year and the next as: a new "yes we can" presidency and its glowing promises, financial fall out from Crash 2007/08, the corporate welfare of bank bailouts, the ACA (Obamacare), the SCOTUS ruling of Citizens United in which corporations--Jupiter--are people, too. Therefore, they must be jailable, right? Puh! Year 2009 was full of a lack of realism and fluffy illusions on steroids! Anyway...back to Marco's Jupiter-Neptune...

With a natal Jupiter-Neptune conjunction, excess and inflation are key concepts and as you know, Saturn is a karmic planet that insists we reap what we've sown. So as transiting Saturn (today @4Sag47) has hit Rubio's natal Jupiter-Saturn conjunction there have been accountability issues to deal with, potentials for false hopes to be stomped, loss, disappointment, and plans which come to nothing. If Senator Rubio drops out of Campaign 2016 it probably has much to do with the establishment (Saturn) restricting his grand plan for higher office. Actually I've already heard pundits flying the 'he's not ready' flag, haven't you?

The Jupiter-Neptune influence also tends toward political conflicts, scandals, idealism, and a tendency to make the wrong diagnosis (Ebertin.) Facing hard realities is not a strong suit with a Jupiter-Neptune conjunction and Senator Rubio would do well to take heed of those who promise too much, pitch 'get rich quick' schemes to him (or 'get elected easily' schemes?), and who prove to be unworthy of his overly trusting nature.

On the positive side, he possesses a spiritual understanding of his social obligations and that is a missing trait in most self-serving politicians of our day. And with natal Saturn in late Taurus, there is fear of not gaining enough resources and possessions, plus, his Saturn widely conjoins natal Sun (6 Gemini) which gives him the capacity to handle responsibility. It also indicates that Marco Rubio learns from experience and has had to mature quickly. His Sun-Saturn conjunction shows in his recent answers to financial questions when he complains about wealthy candidates making a big deal about his financial struggles--struggles that all Americans have faced. Well, he's correct about that!

Now in case you missed it, ABC News' GMA recently conducted an interview with the candidate in which he answers his opponents' charges.

Before I close this Jupiter-Neptune post, let's add Rubio's natal Sun-Jupiter and Sun-Neptune oppositions for they have something to say about his current travails.

A natal Sun-Jupiter opposition denotes one who is enthusiastic and is able to put his best foot forward in his search for recognition and achievement, a good aspect to have in public relations. Charm is noticeable though there may be a certain lack of honesty that others detect--probably because he isn't always honest with himself. Jupiter expands and Sun is ego so a tendency to make glowing promises may become a problem when others end up feeling let down and this outcome may be more pronounced due to his inflationary, bubbly Jupiter-Neptune conjunction. Pomposity and overindulgence may also be a personal issues for the senator in various departments of life ("living beyond his means," said Donald Trump); weight gain may be a challenge.

Marco Rubio's Sun-Neptune opposition indicates strains in relationships caused by an inability to perceive genuine obstacles so that misdiagnosis can occur and solutions are off the mark (as with Jupiter-Neptune, noted above.) A misunderstanding of authority in his early years may continue to haunt him now and I believe this is seen in his Republican charge card/personal liability situation--were proper boundaries honored? Plus, he may not always see obstacles as opportunities as quickly as others do (ex: Donald Trump who won't take No for an answer) and more awareness of his talents has been necessary in order to achieve his goals.

With a Sun-Neptune opposition Senator Rubio may bring out the best or the worst in other people. Possessing a suspicious nature, his level of maturity and a determination to face reality will aid him in his search for authority, recognition, and approval--and he'll need that aid if what even half of this Ring of Fire report from May 20, 2015 says is true!

An untimed natal horoscope may be seen at astro.com with Sun in Taurus and Moon in either Cancer or Leo. One obvious trait of a Leo Moon is the 'reigning need' (Tyl) for approval and applause which may suggest more closely a political career than with a subjective, self-protective Cancer Moon.

With the myriad of things going on in the world since the dawn of the New Millennium (and not all of it as 'bright' as we were often lead to believe beforehand), the following horoscope is quite useful for those who wish to keep up with transits of planets and points to its natal positions, chart angles and other house cusps. And naturally other techniques are valuable for comparison such as progressions and Planetary Return charts based on this natal horoscope as it relates to all of humanity and to America as the 'New Atlantis' for the much-touted 'New Age'.

Hour of the Moon (fluctuations, instability) with Sun in Saturn-ruled Capricorn:

As you see, 5th house Venus is chart-ruler and makes only one applying Ptolemaic (major) aspect--a square to Jupiter @2Gem10 Rx in the 8th house of Money, Debt, Credit, Transformation, and---well, you know the Scorpionic 8th house realms that apply. Both Venus and Jupiter are associated with money: Venus with valuable items, evaluations, diplomacy, and relationships (the attraction principle), and expansive Jupiter (the relating principle) ruling banking and bankers, politicians, religious leaders, professors, gurus and priests, adventurers and explorers, thespians, and...well, you know the rest of the roles the Great Benefic can grandly play.

Venus square Jupiter = laws vs justice, something that our once exalted legal system could claim to uplift, at least some of the time for many of the people but as you know, the US justice system has been infiltrated and corrupted and is in need of purging to get out the crooks, charlatans, and anti-government types who prefer chaos in society to law and order. That is, unless it's their psychopathic kind of 'new world order'.

In fact, the New Millennium's Sun Cap-Moon Pisces blend denotes an ability for "bringing order out of chaos" yet the miscreants of power are set on creating extreme chaos first and then rushing in to 'save the day' by repairing the negative conditions they themselves engineered. Plus, Ayn Rand's cold rationality of objectivism and Darwin's 'survival of the fittest' theory are meant to weed out the chaff--the weakest--among us.

Historically it's interesting to note that the Sun Cap-Moon Pisces blend is shared by Founding Father Benjamin Franklin, perhaps America's prime mover who was very instrumental in setting up our republic ("if you can keep it," he said.) As you probably know, Ben Franklin was brethren in at least three secretive groups of his era: the Freemasons, the Rosicrucians, and the Illuminati Society of Adam Weishaupt. Much of his initiatory activities and involvement occurred while he sojourned a few years in Europe--our diplomat to France, for one example.

So there's Venus @27AQ11 conjoining US natal Moon (We the People) and Jupiter so recently separated from Great Conjunction (May 5, 2000) with austere, controlling Saturn (24Tau34 Rx) with their conjunction's notable Sabian Symbol: '23Taurus' = "A Jewelry Shop Filled with Magnificent Gems". Or at least it was. But between bubbles, busts, 9/11/01, the Great Bush Heist of 2007/2008, and inflation America's gems and jewels are now primarily clutched in certain claws and deposited in secretive offshore bank accounts rather than in the hands of the people and in the US economy.

However, at the turn of the 21st century, transit Venus to We the People's natal Moon gave most of us an emotional lift and an expectant feeling that good fortune was around the bend. And of course, corporate and government propagandists played upon those feelings to further their own best interests and keep us occupied with entertainment and trivialities (remember the 'Y2K' hustle? wonder how all those millions were really spent? for surveillance systems, I suspect.) And all while power brokers continued their 'total awareness and control' plans that crescendo upon us now.

Okay, there are many other enlightening chart factors such as planetary *patterns to discuss but I shall hush for a while and hope that those who haven't used the New Millennium Horoscope before may take it as the predictive tool that I have found it to be. May 2013 Scandals Infuse Tea Party with new steam

Bubbling on the Hob: Reheat and Serve

Perhaps current scandals and pseudo-scandals now plaguing the White House will keep boiling long enough to add steam to the near-deflated Tea Party movement, perhaps not. But for now we may as well pass the buttered scones and jam for we know Republicans won't let a good scalding cup go cold when there's a chance to further undermine the presidency of Barack Obama.

Here you'll find, if you please, some basic information on the history of the Tea Party movement which seems to have begun with blogger and Seattle mom Keli Carender (aka, Liberty Belle) and her organization of a "Porkulus Protest", plus, the rant by Rick Santelli on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange on February 19, 2009. Was his supposedly off-the-cuff remarks inspired by corporate bank rollers who then backed 'grassroots' Tea Party rallies?

Yes, for the president and his Fail-Obama Republican opponents, February 2009 was a very busy month and the first full month of the president's first term. Here's a ramble down memory lane with President Obama signing the Stimulus Bill on February 17, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. The horoscope I have is set for Denver when the Sun 29AQ15 conjoined Midheaven (The Goal Point) with Mars and Jupiter conjunct @10AQ08/11 and US natal Mars in Gemini rising (12:13:54 pm MST):

At 12:13:54 pm MST, there formed a 'Fist of God' planetary pattern (aka, Thor's Hammer) between austere Saturn @19Vir50 Rx in 4th house squaring the Ascendant @22Gem56 and pointing toward the Mars-Jupiter conjunction and the North Node @9AQ07.

In addition, the Moon (the public) @9Sag10 was in 6th house at that time and conjoining Royal Star Antares with its volatile theme of: obsessed with success..The People and the hot-natured Tea Party movement?

And of course Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, planet of expansion, money, investment, and expenditures and was on its way for a first Great Conjunction (of three all through 2009) with Neptune, the inflationary pair of bubbles, speculation, and spend-thriftiness. Their first conjunction perfected on May 27, 2009 conjunct US natal Moon--'little sense of reality; involved in speculation'--Ebertin.

Yet I don't recall the 2009 Stimulus Bill as creating millions of jobs as advertized and promised but I do believe it saved quite a few!

When I found a link in my inbox from Forbidden Knowledge TV to Peter Finch's "Mad as Hell" speech I knew I had to post it to remind me that the presidency of Barack Obama is forever imprinted with the signature of the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction/s of 2009 conjunct US natal Moon (We the People) with the themes of inflation, speculation, fraud, waste, and grand schemes:

Marco Rubio was born in Miami, Florida on May 28, 1971 with Sun in early Gemini--6Gem40 at noon. His opportunity to deliver the Republican response to President Obama's SOTU Address on February 12, 2013 is denoted by transit Jupiter, planet of grand opportunities, and the Great Benefic's Direct Station at 6Gem19 which was exact on January 30th--and occurred precisely upon his natal Sun.

Excitement grows and Rubio's political future seems bright plus, he's made the current cover of TIME magazine as "The Republican Savior," a compliment which he himself smartly denies.

Yet astrologically this seems feasible with his natal Sun trining Uranus, the planet of bright ideas that save the day and an engaging way of expressing his many ideas. Plus, his chart also contains a Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in very early Sagittarius (00Sag55 Rx and 1Sag33 Rx) which gives him idealism to serve but which can be over-exploited by others. The conjunction may also give him a tendency to misplace his trust. ('1Sag' = "A Grand Army of the Republic Campfire"--Jones.)

His SOTU 2013 response will be delivered bilingually, in English and in Spanish, an astrological nod to his Sun trine Uranus. Natal Mercury conjunct Venus should make it a pleasant if critical speech (Mercury-Venus square Mars in Aquarius with contentious Mars in wide conjunction with natal NN 17AQ02...public encounters.)

And of course, as Jupiter moves forward in the Zodiac, it will again trine natal Uranus (9Lib36 Rx), a time when politics, finances, and social issues are favorable for him and new methods and technologies are successful.

So Senator Rubio's grand opportunity and the publicity he will receive for his SOTU response will resound well for his career though caution is advised when expansive Jupiter transits natal Sun (ego) and this is a strong influence since Jupiter stationed there. It describes a period when one must either move forward to a higher level of influence (as he will) or go on to something else. Projects or endeavors begun twelve years ago are particularly on the menu during this transit due to Jupiter's 12-year cycle, though getting carried away by ego satisfaction and over-optimism should be avoided for best use of this expansive energy.

Now there are several other horoscope factors suitable for discussion concerning this complex man so I urge you to view Marco Rubio's natal chart if you haven't already. Other transits to his natal planets have recently been and will be in play as 2013 goes on so we may find ourselves remarking more in depth upon his natal chart and prospects in the near future.

The Fed's 'Quantitative Easing' of Inflationary Jupiter-Neptune

If you've visited SO'W before you know this dissenting American blogger has done quite a bit of grousing over Fed actions and its shady beginnings, and no less so now. Even just yesterday I blogged about the planetary imprint or signature which seals its meanings and themes into the Obama administration and which will affect his legacy as president (Jan 20, 2009 until noon of January 21, 2013.)

Yet if Mr. Obama is re-elected, the Jupiter-Neptune combo of energies will continue in the background of his second term. Expansive Jupiter and merging Neptune will meet next in 2022 @23Pis59 conj NYSE's natal *MC 23Pis21); or, if another man is selected for Oval Office duty in 2012, Jupiter-Neptune will flavor events, plans, grand schemes, religious flowerings, and more with major associated events and circumstances timed by the pair's aspects to one another as they circle in their orbits--as seen from Earth. Either way, controlling the inflationary qualities of the pair won't be easy and may not be possible, even if that is the Fed's true motivation.

Happily I find that Omid Malekan has updated his video library since I visited so I chose two of my favorites concerning the Fed and "the Ben Bernank", as he's called therein. Last evening at DNC 2012 in Charlotte, NC, President Barack Obama accepted his party's nomination for president. During his address he mentioned the Big Banks that all but collapsed the US economy in 2007/08. Now, with the stock market doubled under Mr. Obama, Wall Street has not given its old fraudster ways which was expectable since the speculator-wastrel-fraudster pair, Jupiter and Neptune of Grand Schemes and Visions, met in Great Conjunction three times during the president's first year in office (2009) and will forever be the planetary imprint describing the tenure of the Obama administration Jan 2009--Jan 2013.

As you know, when Jupiter and Neptune met in 2009 their conjunction directly hit America's natal Moon in Aquarius (We the People) compelling us with the desire to dream and providing little sense of reality about events that were happening, may of which related to our then-new 'dreamboat' president whose natal Mars (desire; energy; action) is concealed and glamorized by US natal Neptune @23 Virgo. Also, related to Financial Collapse 2008 and specifically to the Fed, is Jupiter and Pluto closing 2007 with their Great Conjunction of December 11, 2007 which timed many events and financial circumstances of which the public was then unaware.

There are no Great Conjunctions of primary planets until Big Year 2020--then it's Jupiter-Saturn, Jupiter-Pluto, and Saturn-Pluto--so each planetary pair's or trio's flavor relates back to their last Great Conjunction/s until then; of course their cycles include sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions between them which lead up to 2020 as they mark periods of ease or obstruction accordingly.

Now in a previous SO'W post concerning the president's acceptance speech at DNC 2012 last evening, I mentioned the current Sun-Jupiter square for its tendency to inspire over-promising and while last night's DNC address was wonderful and shiny for several reasons, my fret is: Here We Go Again--especially since Republicans have no intention of cooperating with, and will everything they can to obstruct, a second-term President Obama. And that's a very good reason why Democratic candidates must be successful in their bids on November 6th to gain seats in the House and Senate!That, and the expectable appointing of fresh SCOTUS judges in the near future.

The Morning After the Party

So with the Jupiter-Neptune cycle lasting approximately thirteen years, on this morning after President Obama thrilled excited crowds in Charlotte, TV watchers at home, and many of the DNC 2012 commentators, too, I find myself pining for a re-consideration of even more Truth about Financial Crash 2008 (or, The Bush Depression as I often term it) than any DNC speaker provided for the crisis plagues us still while providing for the Democratic Party handy justification for re-electing Mr. Obama who, it is true, cannot clear up the GOP's eight years of financial heisting and flummery in only a four-year term--especially if financial reforms fall short as they have.

Yes, I shall vote for Mr. Obama again for look at what the powers-that-be give us as his opposition: Misogynist Neanderthal Theocratic Jacka**es! Why, it's almost as if the GOP wants to lose in 2012, isn't it? So with my vote I shall retain the Hope that guilty banksters will at some point receive what ought to be comin' to 'em which would give the US financial system a great boost once the dust settles and the rot is scooped out.

Of course, you know that a Romney presidency would get banksters completely off the hook for their crimes and would remove any legal fetters upon them whatesoever. What fetters they now have or would have under the Mittster have so far not despoiled their greedy, pretty little minds. Subliminal Message: as we've experienced through the decades, using 'trickle down economics' only works for those at the top of the pyramid of power, not for the American people as a whole. A Romney-Ryan administration would feed banksters here and abroad our remaining crumbs and prevent us from investing in America and our children's futures!

Chris Hedges: Colonized by Corporations (NYSE = Jupiter-Neptune)

On the topic of who really runs America, on May 14, 2012 TruthDig published a not-to-be-missed article by Chris Hedges, Colonized by Corporations, which makes the point that it's the declasse among us--the educated now left by the power elite with no position and few prospects--that the corporate class fears most. Jupiter-Neptune Describes New York Stock Exchange

The quote from Chris Hedges 'outs' a concept that is one of the main reasons I created Stars Over Washington in 2005 (to vent frustrations!) so putting on my Political Astrology hat, I'll say that the birth horoscope of the *New York Stock Exchange shows just what Capricornian cynics like me might expect: a frothy Jupiter-Neptune conjunction, with both planets retrograde in late Libra (22:57/27:42.)

This means that the Buttonwood Tree agreement in NY was formed under such influences as speculation, waste, grand schemes (including 'bubbles'), idealism, over-extension, over-promotion, and fraud. Sad to say that the Obama administration is imprinted by a Jupiter-Neptune conjunction as well with their three exact conjunctions occurring on May 27, July 10, and December 21 of inaugural year 2009. There are no Great Conjunctions in 2013 to imprint the next presidency with different energies so unfortunately the Jupiter-Neptune themes are to be continued--plus, Neptune now resides in its own murky sign of Pisces which indicates the heights or the depths, and contagion of all sorts.

(Next up will be Jupiter conjunct Saturn once on December 21, 2020 @ 00AQ29--prominent at Winter Solstice--which hits the January 20th US inaugural Sun.)

As you remember, in 2009 all three conjunctions directly hit US natal Moon 27AQ10 (the public) which provided We the People such delights as: instability, becoming involved in speculation, losing oneself in plans, dreaminess (oh Barack!), little sense of reality, and uncertainty. Some people have experienced great loss through floods and gas damages to water tables (fracking chemicals), all provinces of Neptune with Jupiter expanding the negative effects and the size of the fraud and loss. Naturally much disappointment has resulted since inflated Jupiter-Neptune bubbles must pop eventually.

Now they say that how a person, event, or entity begins shows how things will end...the end is in the beginning. If so, We the People (and other disenfranchised populations across the globe) have already suffered grievously and lossed unfairly from the predictable actions of the weak characters of current and past Wall Street titans and traders whose natal Jupiter, planet of banks, large amounts of money, growth, gurus, and ideals, has been undermined from the start by gaseous Neptune which, according to astrological principles, wouldn't know how to provide stability if it tried. Unless it's in the spiritual realm and I think we can safely rule that out when it comes to those who worship gold, love money, and lust for power.

In both natal charts a midpoint picture emerges: Jup-Nep = Saturn: feeling abandoned by one's luck (as you will if you gamble in the rigged casino on Wall Street); false hopes; plans that come to nothing; losses; disappointments; self-delusion; pessimism; combining the real with the unreal in one's activities. In Virginia, around 11:00 am this morning under a Scorpio Moon, President Obama releases his 'budget', that dreamy list of numbers that no one in Washington takes seriously. The US does not have an official budget and no laws are ever signed to make it so--by design, no doubt. This budget will hint at what the president 'would do' if he's re-elected. As you know, in Mundane Astrology the travels of Earth's Moon through the Zodiacal signs tell us something about our public mood and daily lives with the fluctuating Moon changing signs about every 2 1/2 days.

Blending traits of the Moon's sign with the day's Sun sign, we may glean flavors of daily events and the people involved in them--Sun = the leader, Moon = the people. So let's see if there are hints, budgetary or otherwise, within today's Sun AQ/Moon Scorpio combination of Air-Water signs, a misty and ethereal blend to be sure, perfect for the visionary dreams of a president operating under monetary restraints especially since rigid yet watery Scorpio, with its deep passions and emotions, is the sign of Big Business.

Today in Moscow, US President Barack Obama arrived to meet with Russian leaders President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vlaimir Putin.

This should culminate on Friday, Day of Venus, with this week's position of Venus 5Gem46 conjunct transiting Pan, a Capricornian trickster; I associate Venus/Neptune with the Vatican...idealizing (Nep) a woman (Mary, Mother of Jesus.)

For Obama, natal Venus 1Can47 is snugged between Pope Benedict XVI's natal Mars 29Gem28 and North Node 00Can09, a World Point for his NN, a point of destined encounters and meetings, and contact with the wider public.

A midpoint picture is formed between the two natal charts of Mr. Obama and Pope Benedict (birth data I use for each of them at end of this article):

Mars/NN = Venus: getting together affectionately, passionately.

So Moon meets with Pluto today, then she goes on to meet with first Chiron 25AQ24 Rx, Jupiter 26AQ01 Rx, and Neptune 26AQ01 Rx at their Great Conjunction (July 10, 2009; Moscow, Russia, 9:18 am CDT +5:00.) This is the minute given by this software as the first minute they click into the same '01' minute so I use it in case an audience with the Pope may occur during the morning hours of Friday. Of course the entire day is flavored with this major conjunction between two 'religious' planets: one codified (Jupiter), and one urge-to-merge infused (Neptune.)

So as the Moon approaches the Jup/Nep pair, three midpoint pictures form. As usual the pics may operate in an 'any, all, or none' manner...

1. Moon/Neptune = Jupiter: grand imaginings and plans.

2. Jupiter/Neptune = Moon: dreaminess; an emotional swoon; going with the wind; becoming involved in speculations and gambling.

3. Moon/Jupiter = Neptune: success feels like it's leaving one's grasp; losing focus of objectives.

As President Obama carries financial and political pollen from one world leader to another on his trip, Mercury, planet of travel especially air travel, is dancing upon Fixed Star Sirius, a star strongly associated with America's natal chart.

Sirius, the Dog Star (Alpha Canis Major), once worhipped in Egypt as the guardian, and indicating the announcer in the form of a barking dog; keywords: the fire of immortality which I for one relate on one level to the Illuminati's 'eternal flame.'

There's an element of faithfulness linked with Sirius; Ebertin and Robson agree that a person influenced by Sirius (in this case, Mr.Obama as the young-ish man (Mercury) traveling (Mercury) to meet (conj) with the Sun 19Can27 (leader) on Friday for the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction) so this is a ceremonial and public level on which the two - or should I say, three? - leaders will gather. plus a private level, too. Perhaps there they'll say what the really think and what we are not privy to know.

If uprightly directed, the energy of Sirius may bring more gain than is expected in one's endeavors as the mundane becomes sacred. (Brady's Book of Fixed Stars.) Therefore, a small action becomes a symbol for the collective yet this is a demanding star that brings either huge success - or a scorching, maybe even a scalded dog yelping!

Mercury is oriental, too, which decribes the last-to-rise-before-the-Sun phenomenon in Astrology this is the dot the Is, cross the Ts mindset. Reporters?Speechwriters? Negotiators or trade representatives? Or all the possibilities on different levels?

For compexity's sake, there are also two bodies riding along with Mercury - Hygeia (health; perhaps a doctor and/or nurse?), and one of the two Isises (Isis #2, I call this one) now at 12Cap34. Is a daughter under the weather? Perhaps it only describes the usual arrangements for a president taking a long distance trip with his family and acts as a medical precaution for the one they once called, The Leader of the Free World.

Proserpina (transition) rises in Friday's Jupiter/Neptune conjunction chart as transiting asteroid Hopi (ambush; prejudice) sips Napoleon brandy with Pope Benedict's natal Pluto/SN conjunction. This is an old prejudice for the Pope but it also represents a chance to let go some of the poisons from his past.

So our 'Sirius' travels to announce and perhaps to warn, Jupiter's idealism and money issues meet the spiritual guru in his own neighborhood, and event-timing Luna shifts across the faces of the planets while pollinating from one to the next. Moon to Jupiter is generally a happy time (although both planets are often prominent in charts of poisonings and other offings.) Moon/Jupiter is a chance to travel, for certain, with emotional changes involving joy in the process.

Moon to Jupiter (or vice versa which is usually better since Jupiter 'stays longer' than the Moon) indicates publicity - which of course is a given here = reward, success, and optimism. In the political arena,
the religiousness of the judiciary becomes important which implies SCOTUS concerns on one side or the other - or on both.

Might Sonia Sotomayor's nomination for SCOTUS be a topic of discussion or negotiation?

Moon/Chiron contacts indicate that perceptual shields are open - so please be careful which frequency you tune in to.

Then Moon reaches Neptune, a refined, bewildered, sensitive, and/or spiritual time when subconscious forces are at play and one may be emotionally (Moon) deceived (Neptune) if one isn't careful, or perhaps 'deceived through the emotions' is closer to it. And as you know, Tuesday, July 7, 2009 brings a Lunar Eclipse in mid-Capricorn, sign of politics, law, business, and management. Seems to me that that old time religion is good enough for traditionalist Capricorn, yet the US president of the moment doesn't seem overly encumbered with that particular Rock of Ages.

However, Mr. Obama, as all US presidents, will be kissing the Pope's ring this week.
