Spring EQ brings Gore to Congress

There've been so many charts to study this weekend for the upcoming week--it's Sunday afternoon and nothing has gelled for posting so I'm combining two entries into 'Spring Equinox/Gore testifies to Congress on global warming' just to save my knarly typing finger some aches and pains.

As you know, the Sun reaches Aries Point (AP = 00Aries00, a World Point) on March 20, 8:07:32 pm edt (for the White House.) Moon will be positioned at 26Ari47 just after the New Moon, the beginning of a new cycle which will culminate in two weeks with the Full Moon appr April 2 (depending where you're located.)

Sun/AP = Moon/Mercury: realism; practical planning; thinking along biological lines; good intellectual powers; public contact.

There may be a clarification of objectives to the day which may be--if the objectives are positive--a good thing.

The Descendant in the EQ chart is Gore's natal Sun degree, "11Aries": "The president of the country" but don't go getting any ideas. Actually, do go getting ideas--Mr. Gore's Jupiter Return occurs at the end of 2007...Dec 12, to be exact.

And you don't always see such a Jupiter Return as his...MC conj his n Moon 3Cap14, with Jupiter 28Sag36 conj tr Pluto (so tr Pluto to n Jupiter--as it is this week) at MC in 9th house, the house which is ruled by Jupiter in the natural zodiac. Political ambitions may expand under this transit.

Jupiter Return Moon 24Cap15...Capricorn is the sign of worldy ambition and is in 10th house of Public Status/Career, so perhaps Gore will be coaxed/begged enough by December to announce his acceptance of the Dem nomination.

Yet the Return chart isn't perfect: contentious instigator Mars 7Can16 Rx--in fall in Cancer--is at the IC in 4th house, the Foundation of the chart and so is squaring the Return ASC.

And natally this tr Mars position is in Gore's 12th house...more behind-the-scenes shenanigans perhaps esp since Gore's natal Sun/Neptune opposition makes it fairly easy for those who are determined to confuse others about Gore's personality and purposes to the extent that he is confused himself for he is prone to unrealistic expectations of others, to unconscious deceit, and may regard himself as being inspired from On High.

Others in authority may find him vague and so they form misconceptions about him and, as we know, this a typical ploy used in politics ad nauseum. Gore's recent success with global warming speeches and An Inconvenient Truth may be due to his sticking to the facts--yet even there the science on global warming has been under attack by those who wish to confuse the public on the issues and on the man.


There is a T-square in the Jupiter Return chart:

Mars/MC = ASC: confidence; pizzaz; success; assumption of leadership.

and a YOD pattern:

Venus/Saturn = ASC: withdrawal from fear of not being accepted; a desire for separation.

(A confusing mix there.)

With Jupiter's cycle being appr 12 years in duration, a Jupiter Return chart (or Reward Cycle, as Noel Tyl says) is in effect for 12 years--quite important in one's life scheme. Transits to the chart's planets and angles will be interesting to watch as the campaign season progresses into 2008.

And on Wednesday, Mar 21, his scheduled appearance before Congress, tr NN (meetings; associations) will be conj Gore's natal Mercury (speaking; also meetings), tr Pluto 28Sag56 will conj n Jupiter 28:36, yet tr Saturn 18Leo55, the King of Terror Eclipse (8.11.99)'s degree (and Venus' degree on 9/11/01) will be conj his n Mars 18Leo08.

The Saturn-to-Mars transit often indicates male relationships being restricted or broken off; plus, he'd better be well-prepared with his testimony (for sure he will be, I'm just sayin'.) Circumventing rules and regulations is frowned upon during this transit what with Saturn representing authority and Mars representing our energy, action, and initiative.

At 9:30 am edt on Wednesday, Gore's natal Sun is rising...with its "11Aries" degree, "The president of the country" in tow. Guess the real president will be in the House.

And tr Mars at the "A man unmasked" degree will be opposing lonely Saturn, the leader/authority. This means that while tr Saturn will be conjuncting his n Mars as mentioned, tr Mars will be opposing n Mars, the head-against-brickwall transit. So Mr. Gore may wonder why he bothered when his testimony is over...it may be a time-wasting exercise in the end since others' interests are diametrically opposed to his own.

Whatever happens in Congress this week, Mr. Gore will be certain to wield a powerful influence upon the public if not upon Washington's knuckle-headed politicians for only a paltry few share his interests in the environment. The tr Moon (the public) in Taurus, sign of the Earth and of her exaltation, will be trining his natal Moon as well, so the sheeple may appreciate his efforts and some good publicity may come out of it for him.


Yet the Sun Aries/Moon Taurus blend for March 21 is interesting to note due to its forceful, straight-from-the-shoulder charm, and its personal ambition.

Valerie Plame goes to Congress

After some requests I'm posting Valerie Plames's natal chart (sunrise) with this morning's transits set for Capitol Hill.

You see that tr Sun is conjunct her n Venus and tr Venus is conjunct her n Sun! Very appropriate given today's comments that she was a "platinum blonde" who looked like a "movie star" as she strode into the hearing room this morning.

On a side note--or is it?--Jupiter at 19Sag08 is conjunct the Chiron/Pluto midpoint of the Patriot Act chart (Oct 26, 2001)...that's Chiron/Pluto: plutocracy, oppression, racism, class warfare, and all that. And there's Jupiter (the judge--hey, that's Al Gonzales' nickname, isn't it?)...Jupiter to expand, over-expand, and/or broadcast the concept.

It's not that Congress is attempting to "micro-manage" our troops in Iraq--it's the overdue need for Congress' to stop backing off their responsibilities and micro-manage the psychopaths on the warpath in the White House--that's what Congress has needed to do from the start.

Nice try framing the argument though...but very very tiresome of you, little parrot mimicking your masters.

New Moon 2.17.07

You'll find many interpretations online of the New Moon of Feb 17, 2007, so I want to type out for you from Adriano Carelli's, The 360 Degrees of the Zodiac, with its antiquated and colorful ways of expression.

There's a real traffic jam at the top o'the chart, the Mc/Aspiration Point, the WHY of the chart, where you see tr Chiron nestled. Several planetary midpoints add to the picture, and as you see, the chart is specific to the White House, or to Capitol Hill not so very far away.

But first let's consider the midpoint which is rising, Saturn/North Node, a duo which together indicate isolation and inhibitions in unions or associations (Ebertin.)

Sat/NN = ASC: a inhibited person with a desire for seclusion; separation; suffering under difficulties with others. Sounds like Bush and his Iraq ball'n'chain...and he forged it himself.

Midpoints at Mc include:

Sun/Mars = Mc: efficiency; ready to fight for one's principles; accepting responsibility gladly; the character of a fighter; attaining success; marriage or union (the Part of Marriage is at Mc also);

Moon/Mars = Mc: a woman with strong principles; upright behavior; a forceful and purposeful nature; getting married (who's getting married? Anyone?)

Venus/Pluto = Mc: love; karmic union.

Now delusional, if idealistic, Neptune is being highlighted by a few midpoints as well, and they are:

Sun/Mc (the goal) = Nep: pursuit of the wrong objectives (how tiresome); apathy; indifference; confusion or a lack of clarity (Washington likes it that way for the most part--you weren't doing anything with that understanding, were you?); disappointments (they've been disappointing me for years); insecurity (they promote that--Homeland Insecurity); something threatens ego definition (a lack of ego in Washington? Impossible!)

Mars/NN = Nep: demonstration of anti-social conduct in associations; falsehood; undermining of associations; disappointments (again); self-absorption within the group--charismatic or off-putting (consider me off-put.)

There are two midpoints pointing at the New Moon itself...

Mercury/Neptune = Sun: possibly allowing oneself to be deceived; intellectual creativity; impressionability;

Merc/Nep = Moon: a misguided imagination; pictures from the subconscious; a deceived or deceptive woman.

NN/Mc = Sun: maintaining associations through shared interests; unions based on the physical; easy social ascendancy; the importance of friends and contacts for success;

NN/Mc = Moon: sharing emotions with others presents a challenge; a cozy atmosphere; an emotional character.

Neptune/Pluto, the Robber Baron duo, is conj Mars: being used a tool for other people's interests (there are many tools in Washington, as you know); a lack of resisitance, stamina, or energy.

Iraq-War-Debate Theater opens Monday

Why use 9:56 am, you ask? None of the House members--Rs or Ds--want to speak too early esp the West Coasters whose constituents may be snug abed without C-SPAN turned on, and the East Coasters don't want to fight with Letterman who will undoubtedly be justifiably spoofing them by 11:30 pm.

9:56 am seemed appropriate with two significators of the New World Order angular--the WHY or Aspiration Point (Mc) "18Cap" is actually the NWO's Great Conjunction of Uranus and Neptune of the early 90s, and natal Sun of the NWO is conj this Descendant and therefore setting in this chart.

Another tidbit of interest is that tr Chiron/Pluto midpoint is now at the same spot in the zodiac--synchronicity? Or global agenda proceeding?

As you know, the Chiron/Pluto is the oppression/exploitation of the masses pair...in a word, plutocracy.

There's a big, honkin' YOD, or Finger of God, formation pointing to lonely Saturn--a planet which on one level is the isolated leader--but on another level represents the Democratic Party.
With Jupiter (Rs) in 8th house of high finance--and residing at "16Sag": "Sea gulls watching a ship"...it reminds me of Finding Nemo--"mine mine" of the sea gulls...looking for any opportunity to get theirs (back, in this case. The Rs are running this as a "mini-political campaign.")

Given how things are meant to proceed this week in this "debate" with its "non-binding resolution" and the members "jockeying for primetime" and the Rs said to be "girding for broad defections" from their side, it's the same old PR crap, m'peops...same old thespianisms.

But there is an air of renunciation stinkin' up the place, and a YOD can indicate a Special Task--and if you read it as Saturn = Ds, the Special Task may be all theirs with Mars (males) and Venus (females) uniting to sock it to Saturn, the apex planet of the YOD--and Dem Party leaders.

Or are the Rs wearing the socks? We'll know more as the week's performances play out. But let's remember--there's always naughtiness (like trumped up intell on Iran) they're diverting attention from when they study their belly buttons so profoundly and dramatically! SOTU 2007: drawer full of diamonds?

Tony Snow said that picking out the best part of Bush's SOTU address Tuesday evening would be like looking through a "drawer full of diamonds."

Now what Sabian Symbol do we know that relates to such a poetic image? It's the last Great Conjunction of Jupiter (Rs) and Saturn (Ds) on May 28, 2000..."23Tau": "A jewelry shop filled with the most magnificent gems." We are still in that cycle (since a conjunction begins any planetary cycle) and are now past their square/blockage stage and heading for the helpful, cooperative trine stage. Yippee...the rich get richer.

But as for Tuesday night's show...I've set this chart for 9 pm--at 9:02 and 9:03 pm, the transiting cusps will conj Bush' secondary progressed cusps...if you click chart to enlarge, you will see his sec (secondary) planets scribbled 'round the outside of the chart with nebulous, delusional Neptune first to rise.

Everyone knows it easier to deceive others if you've first deceived yourself.

You'll also see a few asteroids such as tr Sun conj ICARUS of the melted wings. Wounded Chiron is conj PALLAS, keywords: strategy; wisdom.

Chiron/PALLAS' degree "10AQ": "A popularity which proves ephemeral." Does this describe Bush limping through his second term--or perhaps the tarnished "popularity" of his 'surge' plan? That would have to be among the few Rs who still give it lip service, of course.

Moon in Aries = "I AM the People" so he'll suppposedly be connecting with the unwashed masses on his usual psycho-detached level we're accustomed to suffering through and from.

Venus occulting the Sun is an indicator of the formation of unusal alliances--previously unheard of associations...and I'm sure we've not heard the truth of them yet.

Consulting Bil Tierney's Dynamics of Aspect Analysis we see Uranus as focalized Apex planet in a Mutable T-square using Mc as part of the formation--and since Mc = Public Status/Career, I think it's safe to consider it. First the midpoint picture:

Jup/Mc = Uranus: optimism; ability to utilize the right moment (including a tv cue!); a fortunate adjustment to changing circumstances.

Apex Uranus = the impractical and blunt communicator. Mutable Apex Uranus relates to spreading oneself too thin (as he's done with the US military and to our tax coffers), and if mismanaged, indicates the social misfit who is willfully out-of-tune with society (ya think?)

This person is a law-unto-himself--a radical thinker who defies the traditions of society with his idiosyncracies. He may unpredictably overthrow his previously-held ideals with no real explanation as he acts as social catalyst for collective reforms.

Mutable energy being unstable and changeable, Uranus, the rebel/revolutionary/reformer will be evident, if not during the address, then it will surely be on people's minds if not on their lips.

Bush will be expressing his communal sense Tuesday night with his usual engaging manner (he hopes) but his mojo, as we know, is seriously damaged.

And as I've posted previously, I don't wish for his end to be a trainwreck--mainly because he takes America--and the world--down with him as he goes.

Guess I'll watch him squirm and dissemble once again while his sec Moon is conjuncted by tr Pluto...

Congress' Saturn Return

Just a Shout-Out on my recent post concerning the ongoing Saturn Return of Congress which now has been updated from Jan 17.

One quick addititon: the Sabian Symbol for the Return Moon "21Sco" may be instructive:

"A soldier derelict in his duty."

Well of course, one first thinks of George Bush's past AWOL status, but I believe it refers to the current stand-off on Bush's war escalation, don't you? Not that our troops are derelict--the valiant majority of them have been anything but--so it may refer to withdrawal--which is underscored by the US Mars (military) now Rx since July '06.

And the Saturn-Neptune T-square pointing to this Moon may describe the grievous and untenable situation our troops have been placed in by Bush, Cheney, Rumsfled, Perle, and the rest of the warhawks.

You may wish to read my Feb 14, 2006 post on Bernanke's '1st Shout Out as Fedhead' linked above as Ben warns on Social Security and Medicare "revamping"--or is that discontinuance?--on Capitol Hill today. How about revamping instead such things as exorbitant war spending to benefit warmongering profiteers, kickbacks, graft, and governmental greed and incompetence?

Hasn't George Bush "weakened" the country and the economy enough for ya?

What other undermining activities do the lot of you have in store for America and the world?

Is the World Banking System the devil incarnate? How do you tout for liars and cheats as you do? Can you count? Are you accountable unlike your shadowy bosses?

As I've paid 100% of my FICA taxes through these several years, I'd like to know what you miscreants in Washington did with my money and the interest acrued.

Tell me that, Mr. Bernanke. Then we'll have something to tout about.

Congress' ongoing Saturn Return

Congress' Saturn Return Rx #2 of 3, Jan 13, 2006 with #1 having occurred Oct 28, 2006, and #3 upcoming July 13, 2007.

Here's the article from Wednesday on the Senate's theatrical snit which now postpones their doing anything about ethics and lobbying reform...9 votes short...big surprise, isn't it?

Partisan Dispute Derails Ethics Reform because the Judd Gregg (R-NH) amendment would've given the President (if we had one) the chance to stick his nose into the legislation and pull out a plum.

Dave Letterman just debuted a new segment: "George W. Bush: Inappropriate Smiles" with a bit from his interview with Jim Lehrer--and there's Bush smiling like a psychopath about Iraq's recent "botched" executions and Iraqi comments against his handling of the war....and on that happy note it's time to get my fuzzy slippers and my sleeping cap on...back when circumstances allow...stay snug, all!

2.19.07 Friday UPDATE: As you know, the Saturn Return is a time of confronting past failures and learning what you can from them. When dutious Saturn returns to his spot in a chart there is a serious attempt made to change or terminate current relationships, plans, and situations that do not allow for future growth or for envisioned plans.

Whatever is satisfactory is affirmed and the rest should be jettisoned. The November Elections took care of much of this responsibility, didn't it?

Now in the Rx phase of the Return (until the next conj July 13 which is also the date of Congress' Mars Return, a new 2-year cycle of activity) they are on track to review, reconsider, and 'return' to their traditions--also a Saturnian keyword. Congress is at least giving lip service to the idea of their own Oversight Function originally envisioned for them.

Here's a recent excerpt from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's blog with Saturnian keywords italicized:

Bettering the nation we love in ways both big and small are (is) becoming reality. Democrats promised a New Direction for America, and in these first 100 hours we are all discovering that turning (Rx) our promises into reality is much more than an obligation, it is our duty. Commitment reaffirmation is part of a Saturn Return also and the current Rx phase is working well for that--we hope it isn't all rhetoric for the Democrat's stated long-range goals.

With Saturn in 12th house of Behind-the-Scenes much has been done in private with Saturn and the Capricorn Sun in mutual reception--aiding one another--the clunker is the Scorpio Moon near Ic--the Foundation of the chart--and being squared by Saturn. Squares are blockages and obstacles and a Scorpio Moon indicates changes--also a function of Saturn which more usually changes by way of loss.

Still we must appreciate the sky-high pile of messes the 110th needs to clear up so naturally it won't be easy. Scorpio can be a sign of betrayals so I want to keep a squinty eye on this chart until July when the new and final Saturn Return chart becomes active and the Moon will be in Cancer and just past conj with the US (and Geo Bush's) natal Sun.

It goes without saying that deals have been made behind the door (12th house)--haven't they always been? My concern is that the glowing promises we've been hearing will entail more blockages to the American people (Moon) than we know of currently and will be disillusioning when the other shoe drops, for drop it will.

With the forming Saturn-Neptune opposition, a T-square is patterned and pointing to the Moon...

Sat-Nep = Moon: emotional drain; feeling inhibited; a low character.

Ebertin gives the Saturn-Neptune combination as suffering, renunciation, ascetism. The Nov Elections renounced many culprits on Capitol Hill, but that was described by the 1st return of Saturn, Oct 28, '06. That this difficult T-square is in the current chart gives some cause for concern which I hope the 100th Congress will handle responsibly as they say they will.

This is a Fixed T-square so things are entrenched and rigid--yet an apex Moon in T-square suggests emotional stability on the positive side. But there's a 'stuck in the past' quality to it, and there may be an emotion-venting explosion that interfers with security, a concern of the Moon and of the Ic. (Perhaps Speaker Pelosi has already expressed that for us!)

The Capitol Hill Theater is under notice and the box office receipts are in danger of being blocked by opponents who care more for their political careers than for anything you or I have need of (Moon at Ic.)

And it remains to be seen whether the passage of the lobbying reform bill by the Senate

will make any real difference to their pocket-lining, influence-peddling pasttimes.

Even the proposed 5-day work week is Saturnian! So taxpayers may get more work for their money--and hopefully we'll like the work that we get.

"The Stars of November 8"

Well, Stars of the Stars!

Lawrence O'Donnell's predictive article of Nov 1 on Huffington Post sounds good to anyone who wants our inept, corrupt government officials held accountable for Bush's war and more--assuming their newly-in-charge enablers can dodge their own bullets--but at SO'W, the knowledge that trickster Rove is still on the loose means that it's no given that Ds will be inhabiting exalted catbird seats on November 8.

Yet change is good for the soul, and O'Donnell's The Stars of Nov 8 is a quick read on what could happen if the stars line up to create Dem "stars." But Mr.O'Donnell may not be as concerned about a retrograde Scorpio Mercury (until appr Nov 18) as he should be!

It's a recipe for recount and review.

Remember: the Democratic Party had its Progressed New Moon this August--the beginning of a new cycle of activity--so the time could be right for the Ds.

And also remember: the Ds are just a few years away from being ousted for corruption yet again--it is all about cycles, isn't it?
