Like Father Like Son, Two Natal Horoscopes: Fred and Donald Trump

As you've heard, late on Tuesday afternoon (August 1, 2023) an indictment of Donald Trump on 4 counts relating to his J6 coup attempt was announced by Special Counsel Jack Smith.

A planetary factor that really stands out this week is transit Sun in Leo conjunct Trump's 12th house Pluto (10Leo02) which happens to be the apex planet of his Mars-Saturn midpoint, which Reinhold Ebertin calls the death axis.

Since America's orange albatross began his presidential saga in June 2015 (under the auspices of the star of misfortune, Scheat), Trump has demonstrated how willingly he can manipulate his dangerous midpoint picture, Mars-Saturn = Pluto with the fury, destruction, intervention of a higher power, and the "deaths of many people" it entails. Add the nasty, enraged star Algol twinkling upon his Midheaven (The Goal Point), and the corpses can pile up (Algol in Chinese Astrology).

Then by the day of his J6 arraignment, announced for Thursday August 3, 2023 at 4:00 pm edt Washington DC, the Sun will clock in @11Leo14, still within range of shining upon Trump's deadly midpoint picture so that potentially we have: natal Mars-Saturn = tr Sun: 'inability to meet all demands or master all situations' (R.E.); 'a sense of loss; breaking down under stress and strain; eking it out; possible threat to body or health' (Tyl).

Then of course, the Sun-to-Pluto transit casts a spotlight on power, abuse of power issues, and ego concerns all on its own. But with this particular career criminal Trump, we get even more, Trump-style: we get danger and threats from a bruised ego fearing that someone might dump a bowl of mashed potatoes on his head. Or worse yet, lock 'im up.

Well, it's after 1:00 am here so typing any more about this subject must wait for a less sleepy time. Horoscope: 2021 Saturn opposes Trump n Pluto #3 of 3

June 11, 2021: As you know, restrictive Saturn, karmic planet of Time, authority, authenticity, realism, limits, death, and/or loss (if deserved, or the time draws nigh), now traverses the sign of Aquarius where the Old Man rules along with eccentric, progressive Uranus (unless you're a complete traditionalist!) so we should note that the ongoing Saturn-Uranus square in rigid Fixed signs (AQ-Taurus) over our heads signifies the current R vs D stalemates in Congress (status quo vs progress), plus, global society is experiencing a general conflict between the old order vs a new order, nowadays in the form of democracy vs authoritarianism (or, fascism/neo-nazism).

Note that when in Aquarius, reality-based Saturn can signify practical ideals and plans, but for less grounded types can denote eccentric expectations that lead to disappointment, or, ambitious plans without a firm foundation.

Now today's post is for considering major 2021 transits to the natal chart of Donald Tr*mp, a demagogue I'd hoped to never type about again.

Yet certain 2021 transits to his natal planets are significant for the American people (through his nibs as a recent figurehead of the country, now trying hard to remain politically relevant - and solvent). These transits may be used as a lens through which to ponder the wider cosmic influences affecting our society and affecting other nations and cultures across the globe, at least until he is completely removed from the world stage. So here goes:

Below is a color-coded bi-wheel with Tr*mp's natal chart in center, with the third of three transit charts (outer) showing legal eagle Saturn opposing his natal 12th house, unaspected Pluto (10AQ02 vs 10Leo02) which represents the several legal battles and lawsuits that his delusional, underworld self is embattled by. As you know, his Pluto = his Mars-Saturn midpoint, the 'death axis' according to Reinhold Ebertin, and signifying brutality, destruction, and the deaths of many people, as we've experienced.

Several midpoint pictures are listed on the chart, plus, the transit that times the chart is highlighted: Saturn oppo natal Pluto with potentials for: 'a time of limited resources, authority directly challenges and threatens power and control'. We may expect that his popularity will continue to plummet with transit Venus in Capricorn opposing natal Venus in Cancer, and the ability to 'face the truth' certainly is not one of his strong suits (Pluto oppo natal Venus: 3x in 2021 exact on February 18, July 10, and December 25).

Meanwhile, as many astrologers have noted, transit Neptune in shady Pisces has been squaring his natal Sun-Moon opposition and Nodal Axis (fated!) suggesting his personal condition of illusion, fantasy, discontent, isolation, and the undermining of relationships. (For as you know, since the Tr*mp Mob Attack of 1/6, droves of supporters have been deserting the sinking bulk of Herr Tr*mp. And of course, Neptune in Pisces is the natal placement of the Republican Party (1854), sometimes called the Conspiracy Party.

It seems that the GOP has used Neptune's return to Pisces to time their current undermining and erosion of the federal, centralized US government - as such hotheads did in secession days culminating with the Civil War - but that's a fuss for another day.

So for Tr*mp, all of 2021 is unfavorable for 'exacting revenge' (his favorite pastime!), 'calling in debts', and/or 'working against tradition or authority'. Plus, transit Pluto opposing natal Venus indicates that it's time to face the truth (as if!) and may trigger bankruptcy filing since resources are limited; relationship conflicts are also suggested. However, these potentials do not address any hidden wealth (Pluto in Leo) he has squirreled away, although that possibility may be disputed by some since he's always been known to be a fortune-hunting wastrel (see lower left).

So as noted, the following horoscope displays the 3rd of three oppositions to natal Pluto. 1. March 16, 2021; 2. August 4, 2021; and 3. December 13, 2021. Admittedly, he may or may not be located in Mar-A-Lago, Florida in December 2021 - and should not be since it's a place of business, not legally a residence.

And of course, the 'biggie' is the fact that the Saturn-Uranus square involved with his natal Pluto forms a major T-Square of difficult potentials - Saturn-Pluto square Uranus = 'sudden violence; brutal efforts to start a new order' (with Tr*mp at the helm, he hopes), and/or 'an attack regardless of potential losses' with apex Uranus in Taurus taking the reins, leading the mob, and suggesting the radical politics of zealotry and Utopian anarchy.

Tarot plus Astrology: Williamson, Warren, and Biden

August 1, 2019: today Mary Ann at Revealing Light Tarot posted to YouTube an illuminating reading on this week's Democratic Debates which focuses on candidates Marianne Williamson and her "dark psychic forces" reference to Donald Trump, Senator Elizabeth Warren and her popular appeal, and Joe Biden and how some Republicans may vote for Biden on November 3, 2020 "just to get rid of Trump."

For astrologers, tarot readers, voters, and others who are not under the spell of Trump (Gemini the magician!) his evil, violent intentions have been clear from the start. What was Nazism but a death cult? And the Klan and white supremacists are dark birds of a feather as well. So as we've previously discussed, Trump's unaspected Pluto in Leo in his 12th house of Karma, Self-Undoing, and Politics identifies him as a man "overshadowed by shadows," a description of someone ensnared by the evil forces of Pluto, the 'dark lord', a man haunted by his own misdeeds. Of course,
Pluto (of the plutocrats!) relates to the Underworld of death, criminal syndicates (mobsters), and hidden (and nefariously gained) wealth but also to black magic and the mind control techniques Trump employs in his rhetoric a la Herr Hitler. This is one reason yours truly has taken to referring to his nibs as 'Herr Trump" which may be wrong but it feels so right.

To illustrate, here's an excerpt from an October 4, 2016 post concerning his Unaspected and Out-Of-Bounds Planets (my Bold added):

We must put a double emphasis on the condition of Mr. Trump's natal Pluto in egotistical Leo since Pluto is out-of-bounds as well as unaspected. When OOBs, Pluto embodies the lawless, mold-breaking, zaniness of an OOBs planet along with an outside-the-box style of thinking and speaking that breaks boundaries and cannot be under anyone's control. Pluto grabs power (and publicity) and we don't need Astrology to tell us that this describes Mr. Trump to a T.

However, disturbingly for our country, an OOBs Pluto, archetypal god of the Underworld, may also indicate one who is a sociopath and/or a criminal, particularly in the Leonine realms of gold and finances. {} Certainly his oppressive business dealings are in the news via contractors and others who have worked for him but have not been paid, plus, the tax avoidance made possible by laws that favor the wealthy--legal, yes, but anti-societal and hypocritical of him. And the primal violence of Pluto has been part of his campaign--even to the point of hinting at Second Amendment gun violence as an antidote to certain problems via Pluto, the assassin, aided by aggressor Mars (edit: which rises in his chart, and also in 12th house with saboteur Pluto).

And here's an excerpt from a May 18, 2018 post A Ginger Step into Donald Trump's 12th house which applies to today's plutonian topics:

Distorted by years of repression, Pluto in 12th house denotes intense passions, primal fears, and obsessions that for Donald Trump are unevolved because his Pluto is unaspected and detached from his other planets. He may often feel that his ego will be overpowered by others unless he fights 'tooth and nail' for he must win at any cost just to survive. Compulsively he tries one defense then another in an effort to defend himself from attack even though the gained relief may be only temporary and such 'solutions' usually lead to bigger problems later on. Is Trump a bearer of our Collective Shadow? Pluto in 12th says so, and reveals the presence of demonic forces of the unresolved 'sewage' of mankind. Tragically, this supports the theory now being heard in our public discourse that we Americans have the president we deserve.

Today I will add: deserved--but giving We The People the chance to change America's course from the dark side! Marianne Williamson supports reparation, a very good start, and I would add the withdrawal of the US military from the Middle East, and--of course--holding Trump, his minions, and enablers accountable. His kleptocracy of incompetence and exploitation must end!

And who can forget Trump's former (?) handmaiden Steve Bannon who was quoted in a DailyKos article on November 18, 2016 that, "Darkness is good. Dick Cheney. Darth Vader. Satan. That's power." He went on to say, "It only helps us when they (liberals) get it wrong. When they're blind to who we are and what we're doing." Oh we see you: you're political fanatics and satanists who conjure and use "dark psychic forces" to call upon America's Collective Shadow for support of your vile, violent, anti-American ideas.

So let us remember that although Trump is a TransPluto Figure, Saturn-Pluto Time Nears (Conjunction @22Cap46) which will hit Trump's natal Vertex (22Cap51) of 'fated encounters' and/or 'changing work conditions' on January 12th and thus color the entirety of year 2020! Yet the Saturn-Pluto combination of energies can also engender 'the adept' and 'the magician' (Ebertin) so here we are back to Trump the Gemini and a magician of the black arts.

Now in case you're wondering after all my fussing, my 2020 druthers for president in a fair world is Senator Elizabeth Warren whose Sun-Uranus conjunction would be a good debate match for Trump's Sun-Uranus conjunction--hers in Cardinal Cancer, his in Mutable Gemini with his karmic North Node in between. But I see no way that Big Bankers will approve Senator Warren as the Democratic nominee given her policies, or as president if she's the nominee. And Joe Biden? He recently told the wealthy class that "nothing will change" if he's elected and I believe him. So no repeal of the revenue-dwindling GOP tax cut for the wealthy, Joe? Complicity! Plus, there's his somewhat controversial record in politics. Well, as I've stated many times these last few years, I'll vote for a rag mop for POTUS as long as it isn't a Republican. How about you, dear reader? Under Trump's spell are you? Doubtful if you're reading Stars Over Washington!

Friday Sept 28, 2018: The Kavanaugh Vote?

An observation today rather than a post. That if Senate Republicans follow through on their plan to stage a vote for Judge Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation to the Supreme Court on Friday September 28, 2018 at 9:30 am edt the natal and unaspected Pluto of Donald Trump (@10Leo02) will be dominating and manipulating the scene, the vote, the hour from the Midheaven of the horoscope, the most visible point of any horoscope--the Goal and Aspiration Point.

Here's an excerpt from a previous post regarding Trump's unaspected Pluto:

Unaspected Pluto @10Leo02 in 12th house of the Unconscious suggests one who is 'overshadowed by shadows' (Tierney) with Pluto, the isolationist, being the planet of Psychology, Psychiatry, and persuasion. There are subterranean forces within his psyche that are totally fragmented from the rest of his personality and because they are buried, he is unaware of them which gives them even greater primal power. This, I believe, suggests the "he can't help himself" remarks that perhaps you've heard from commentators and reporters (exs: all-hours tweeting about former Miss America, Alicia Machado and her weight gain, and other crass behaviors and remarks that set him back in the polls).

Unaspected Pluto is the essence of overwhelming compulsions and powerful wealth-hoarder Pluto (the plundering plutocrat and manipulator) needs aspects to other planets in order to modulate its extreme tendencies. But with Mr. Trump, Pluto doesn't receive them, and nor do his other planets which could use the regeneration principle that Pluto could supply via aspect. And we have to say that Pluto's association with nuclear weapons is difficult to accept if under the thumb of Mr. Trump, the plutonian.

Also note that astrological Pluto is the planet of the Underworld, death, waste and pollution, destruction, de-construction, sabotage, threats, and criminal organizations. When it comes to autocrats in government, any plutonian regeneration must include new forms and reforms that a majority of Americans will reject and resist. And rightly so.

A Republican Las Vegas Debate with Pluto Rising in Leo and Virgo

The fifth and last of 2015, tonight's Republican debate in Las Vegas, Nevada should be interesting if you're in the mood for campaign promises on a national stage and perhaps some entertaining political fireworks which the networks and pundits are longing for. CNN and Facebook will host; follow the link for more details.

Astrologically it seems curious to me that in the natal charts of five candidates: Trump, Carson, Bush, Cruz, and Rubio--all have their natal Plutos rising or just risen as the show begins! Pluto's power principle is of course a major part of Politics and the stealthy one's manipulation tendencies are vital for propaganda purposes, publicity included. Pluto in dramatic Leo naturally expects to rule by force while Pluto in Virgo possesses zealous and fanatical tendencies for whatever is acquired. It's generational as Baby Boomers Meet...whatever you call Cruz and Rubio's 1970s generation...X?

Thing is, it isn't only their Plutos appearing tonight it's natal Pluto's condition in each chart so, with my blogging time brief today, I've taken a tiny peek to see what baggage their Plutos bring along. In chronological order of birth:

Donald Trump (June 14, 1946) was born in the Pluto in Leo generation as was Jeb Bush. Trump's natal Pluto @10Leo 'leads the pack' by degree (though it's his quirky 10th house Uranus that leads actually his natal planets in a Bowl shape making him a wild card candidate who tends to disruptively say out loud what others won't say.) His Pluto is unaspected, however, so his power principle knows no interference, thank you, and this we've seen during his campaign. It is apex in a midpoint picture which we've also seen and it's a difficult one: Mars-Saturn (the death axis) = Pluto: the need to take control; forcing an issue; strong anger (Tyl); brutality (Ebertin.) Sound familiar?

Ben Carson (September 18, 1951) has natal Pluto @20Leo conjunct his Mars @19Leo, a major indicator of surgery or the surgeon that he was. As a pair they also describe one who makes excessive efforts to achieve goals. Unconscious anger, manipulation, and taking 'controlled action' (as in surgery) are denoted. Carson's natal Pluto conjoins his natal Psyche with both Pluto and the archetype involved in Psychology or Psychiatry. (That's Psyche, not 'psycho'.) His Mars and Pluto are apex of a midpoint: Sun-Uranus = Mars: combativeness; rash action. And with Pluto the independnt pair of Sun and Uranus give a strong drive for power (Tyl.) (

Jeb Bush (February 11, 1953) as stated was born with a Leonine Pluto opposing natal Sun in Aquarius,a natal Sun within range of US natal Moon (uh oh--this can be a presidential indicator.) Sun-Pluto people crave power and control and usually have ways of attaining this (Poppy Bush has been Jeb's ticket.)

Ted Cruz (December 22, 1970) is one of two with Pluto in Virgo conjoining his natal Sisyphus--and you know how determined that manifests. A descriptive midpoint picture involves the power planet--Sun-Pluto = Saturn @16Tau08 Rx ('17Tau' is the "swords vs torches" degree we discussed previously...... and this adds potentials for his wild tendencies to be blocked (ex: no, Ted, you cannot shut down the US government a second time and waste millions of taxpayer dollars) and restraining one's fanatical tendencies (Munkasey.) Note that this midpoint picture between Sun-Pluto-Saturn is formed by a Fist of God pattern, aka, Thor's Hammer.

The last candidate I'm considering here is Marco Rubio (May 28, 1971) with Pluto in Virgo and a Thor's Hammer pattern between Venus-Mars and Pluto which gives him potentials for passion, envy, and stealth. Using sex for power is also indicated though I know of no scandals of that nature, so far, only his financial troubles denoted by his Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Sagittarius. (Mr. Cruz has the Jupiter-Neptune 'grand spirit' with over-promising and wastrel issues as well though his Jupiter is in corporate Scorpio, not Sag--both have Neptune @1Sag+). And perhaps Rubio's 'passion' is intensified by the asteroid conjunct his natal Pluto for it's sexy, glamorous Lilith who should feel right at home tonight as Senator Rubio debates his opponents in Sin City!
