Mumbai under siege Nov 26 2008
Wikipedia has information on the Hindi and the Urdu dialects of the khari boli register.
Hindi is the sanskritised version, Urdu is the persianised dialect. I mention this because one of the gunmen involved in Nov 26's siege on Mumbai, India, is said to have spoken in one of these dialects.
Through emails to various media outlets, a group calling themselves the Deccan Mujahideen has taken 'credit' for the attacks and murders - how proud they must be for sneaking up on the unsuspecting and unarmed.
I shall suppose that 'Deccan' here relates to the number '10' as it would in the west.
Interesting that English and Hindi share official language status in India's federal government. Both Urdu and Hindi have Indo-Aryan roots. Now this doesn't tar and feather all the gunmen with the same brush, of course, but it's the only identification of a language I've read as of yet.
My heart goes out to the city and people of Mumbai who have stood as innocents in the crosshairs of the politically and criminally insane...and while Pluto stood poised at 29Sag59, crisis degree mode and straining for controlling Capricorn, sign of government, business, and law.
A final note: Mumbai's business district and American and British citizens were their targets. Point taken.

Obama-Bush meet at White House 11.10.08
Walking the colonnade this afternoon at the White House are our present and future presidents.
The limo carrying the Obamas was reported as passing through the White House gates at 1:46 pm est. Rising at that minute was 5Pis01 bringing Barack Obama's natal Chiron Rx with it. This video records their stroll at about 1:52 pm est.

Obama's Chiron in Pisces + the Nep-Pluto septile
Some folk are calling this 2008 presidential race 'gilded' but see if you agree.
Today I'm grieving for Jennifer Hudson and her family and I know both readers of this blog are saddened by this family tragedy.
Here in Georgia the weather is chill and damp today so we're staying as snug as bugs may be expected to stay.
Hearing of Barack Obama's speech in Canton, Ohio today puts me in mind of the famous anti-war speech so well-delivered several moons ago by Eugene V. Debs.
And here I've exerpted from his advice for you if you go to Washington so heed before you leave for Washington Town. The city's parallel is most particular, y'know, and there are more mountain goats than you can shake a stick at there.
So between speeches by Debs and the stellar Cross of Gold speech by William Jennings Bryan is where I find myself plopped this day while pondering why Senator Obama chose Canton in which to speak, or perhaps I should say....preach.
Natally Barack Obama has Chiron in Watery Pisces, sign of the collective, sign of compassion (not the manufactured kind), sign of sacrifice, and sign of fishes everywhere.
Pisces can be the preacher but many generals have been born under the sign of the fish (which may seem odd at first.)
And since Chiron travels between the orbits of Saturn (the past) and Uranus (the future), Chiron is the "be here now" figure, the Alpha and Omega and the All in between.
Chiron is experiential because of his catalyst nature, his morphing ability learned from sky god, Uranus, while his perfect/imperfect form is from Saturn. Plato's Ideal Form - the synthesis of Saturn and Uranus, is an idea more perfect in imagination.
Chiron is the 'learn by doing' focus in our charts and so is the expression of the Ideal in earthly form, upon the Cross of Matter.

Germany's Kristallnacht resolution stalls
German politicians divided over anti-Semitism as the German Parliament attempts to pass a unanimous resolution against anti-Semitism to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the Night of Broken Glass.
Anti-Semitism is 'on the rise' in Germany, the article states and it seems that 70 years of perspective aren't enough.
Of course, it's much more complex an issue than my simplistic can't we all just get along mindset. But should it be?
Doesn't all hatred issue from mankind's primal lizard brain?
