A Few Astro-Notes on NSA Leaker Edward Snowden and Saturn

The Wikipedia page on Edward Snowden contains a measure of general biographical information about the fellow who leaked NSA intelligence to the media.

Born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina on June 21, 1983, Mr. Snowden, age 29, is being sought with all the force of America's global tracking abilities with help from other entities, it may be assumed. Some US congress members are focused on his alleged 'treason' though they don't care to discuss how the US Congress, the Executive Branch, and the Justice System have eroded the Fourth Amendment to the US Constitution with their overreaching surveillance tactics and data mining of all personal communications.

When the news of the NSA leaks began, astrologers instantly thought of Mr. Snowden's Saturn Return (see dates, below) when they heard his age of 29 years for this marks the cycle of Saturn around the Sun. Taking responsibility and accepting one's accountability are lessons to be learned from the Old Task Master, Saturn. And of course, Snowden's 30th birthday occurs on Friday, June 21st along with Summer Solstice 2013 when the Sun reaches 00Cancer00:00, a Cardinal World Point of Prominence, Fame, and Recognition. Well, Mr. Snowden has definitely achieved an abundance of recognition this year.

Here's a view of his natal horoscope set for noon since a birth time is unknown and with a few astro-notes added below the clickable image:

As you see, Snowden was born with a Geminian Mars out of bounds (a lone actor), plus, a Locomotive pattern (drive to success) with Mercury @10Gem49 as lead planet and his facility with technology and coding bears out these Mercurial placements. Even Mercury's traditional role as The Messenger applies. However, if born after 7:08:40 pm edt, the Sun was @00Can00 giving him a Water-Water blend of Sun Can-Moon Sco.

If born prior to 7:08 pm, he has Sun Gem-Moon Sco, an Air-Water blend of mistiness that can easily dissolve into tears. From his one interview, this doesn't seem to me to describe him--though 'leaker' applies to his current status so I'll include here a few details on both Sun-Moon combinations for your consideration.

Sun in Gemini with Moon in Scorpio

With Gemini the sign of Communications of all sorts (and of duplicity), there is much to be said for his having a Sun Gem-Moon Sco personality blend with the Moon in Scorpio (sign of spying, secrets, and betrayal) for the 24-hour period of his birth day so we can be certain his Moon (reigning need) is in Scorpio where controlling, restrictive authoritarian Saturn now treads. Plus, at a crisis 29th degree of Gemini, his Sun would strain toward 00Cancer and prominence while retaining the crisis emphasis he has set in motion through his own actions.

Natal Moon ranged from 10Sco53 to 23Sco42 of the Zodiac and with Snowden's current troubles, I'd say natal Moon may be nearer the lower degrees of Scorpio for transiting Saturn this month is at 5Sco+ and was at 11Sco+ in February 2013 when journalist Glenn Greenwald said their contact began. (North Node, a point of encounter, meetings, and publicity is in mid-Scorpio as well.)

My point is that a Saturn-to-natal-Moon transit is difficult and depressive for its sobering effects and burdensome conditions. There is often a forced change of residence (Hong Kong, then on to...jail?) along with emotional deprivation, anxiety, and loss. Mothers and other females in his life may suffer (and I think they already have.) Illness from the stress is likely to follow and we know he has been diagnosed with epilepsy and used the condition as an excuse for his flight to Hong Kong with leaks trailing behind.

Plus, while Saturn (government, law, and business) remained in the final degrees of Libra where it is exalted, Snowden had a three-fer Saturn Return: 1. December 24, 2011; 2. March 24, 2012; 3. September 16, 2012. Libra is the sign of balance and Snowden seems to want balance restored to a fairer level between the people and the governing class, and there are many hard lessons to digest with a triple Saturn Return which will color his life for approximately the next 29 years.

Now Sun Gem-Moon Sco provides a picture of one who is both an extrovert and an introvert, and is provocative and paradoxical. This combo has a gift for selling (a Geminian trait of commerce and trade) and is happiest when there are challenges and intrigues involved within work situations. Restlessness and cynicism may be evident, along with changeableness and inconsistency.

Sun Gem-Moon Sco is the natal blend of novelist G. K. Chesterton so let's hear a few words from him: "The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because they are generally the same people."

Water-Water Sun Can-Moon Sco

This blend denotes one who is perceptive, intensely emotional, and self-protective (good luck to him on that score!) and is deeply fascinated with what makes people tick. Genuine concern for the world is in evidence, and a preoccupation with hidden things is described. A lover of mystery and suspense, Sun Can-Moon Sco personalities believe in respecting the privacy of others (unless other chart factors interfere), and there is a subjective brooding quality to its suspicious nature.

Analytical powers are a talent, and when given a search warrant to look inside a bank account or other information, these powers become concentrated into a determination to discover the truth to the point of fanaticism. Living on the edge is attractive with this blend, and emotional courage emerges in times of crisis and duress--such courage he needs now and going forward so if this is his natal Sun-Moon blend, he possesses it.

Sun Can-Moon Sco is shared by neuro-psychologist, actor, and writer Jonathan Miller and the following quote from him seems very closely to apply to the stated views of Edward Snowden: "The human body is private property."

But apparently our personal communications are not.

Now as you see in the horoscope, there are several other chart factors of note such as a problematic Saturn-Pluto conjunction of control, a Jupiter-Uranus conjunction of international opportunities and tech breakthroughs, the Sun-NN-Mars trio that opposes Neptune (webs and spies), plus, Chiron the Wounded Healer sitting atop a star of Pleiades, Alcyone (something to cry about, exile, suffering) where the Solar Eclipse of May 20, 2012 occurred (00Gem20) in the 14South Series ('a peculiar turn of events'--Brady.)

Yet the hour grows late so I'll close with Edward Snowden's Pre-Natal Eclipse Saros Series, the 3 North, which is the PE Series of the CIA (1947) and of the attacks of 9/11/01. 3N themes are 'worries and obsessions, news involving young people, or news that transforms a situation. A caution is to not get carried away with large plans or activities.' (Brady.) Next occurrence: July 2, 2019 @11Cancer.

Great advice, but it's too late on all counts especially since 9/11/01 has been used to justify the USA Patriot Act which allegedly codifies our nation's march toward a Surveillance State which some call Big Brother.

Wonder if the mainstream media and politicians will now stop bashing 'fringe' broadcasters like Alex Jones and admit that he and others were right about the police state 'spyocracy' all along?

US Mercury '25Can': "A Man Wrapped in an Invisible Mantle of Power"

Given my real world schedule, it would be an impossible task to provide in this post a list of current links to articles, videos, and interviews concerning the NSA/PRISM/data-mining/Snowden issues now dominating the 24/7 cycle of the news, and I trust you may find them for yourself as you wish. In fact, such news would be difficult for anyone to miss these days unless they inhabit an underground cave with no Internet connection or phone signal.

And as I always wonder, what should we be attending to when the circus masters of the media say, Look Here, American public! What's going on in an opposite direction that the powers-that-be want us to ignore?

Leaving that question aside for the moment, I wish to further mention notes on America's natal Mercury Rx (July 4, 1776 @24Can11 = '25Cancer') and its Sabian Symbol as given by both Marc Edmund Jones and Dane Rudhyar. Their word pictures for '25 Cancer' vary slightly and does the Solar Fire symbol used in the title of this post.

"25Can" (MEJ): "A dark shadow or mantle thrown suddenly over the right shoulder"...DESTINY. Positive expression: some dramatic manifestation of genius vital to the general welfare of man; Negative (shadow side--jc): a tendency to unwarranted presumption if not outright megalomania."

(Note the use of "unwarranted presumption" similar to warrantless wiretaps.)

Now let's consider the entire interpretation by Dane Rudhyar for '25Can' = "A Will-Full Man Is Overshadowed By a Descent of Superior Power."

"We are dealing here with a man who uses his will and positive imagination in facing life's problems. To him comes a pentecostal descent of power. He receives the "mantle of power," the grace (baraka in *Sufi philosophy) or the Providential assistance which can make him a true leader in his culture.

In this fifth symbol we witness a more transcendent expression of "success." It is not merely external success (as given by society to its prima donnas), but a spiritual response, a sign of inner and uncommon ENDOWMENT."

Naturally, with the symbol's "Providential assistance" we are reminded of the Founding Fathers' use of Illuminati symbols upon America's Great Seal, symbols which were placed on the dollar bill under the Franklin Roosevelt administration (he, a Freemason as were many Founding Fathers including numero uno President George Washington)--the pyramid with the floating capstone and the Eye of Providence (or of Horus) that we now know symbolizes total and complete surveillance of the American people and of the entire globe.

E pluribus unum indeed.

Though to be fair, similar symbols had been used by other secret societies besides the Illuminati (May 1, 1776) yet infiltration of other societies has been an oft-used tactic to direct and maintain control over events and outcomes. I believe we see that this is same tactic now used by anti-government types who've infiltrated the US Congress in order to collapse the US government and cull the people in Darwin-esque fashion.

Yes, America's natal Mercury (Rx: inward spying!) is opposed by powerful Pluto Rx in Capricorn, sign of government, law, business (and Saturnian control and restriction) and has been addressed here many times, plus, Pluto's legendary Cape of Invisibility is certainly a large part of our spying picture of manipulation, oppression, and secrecy. When born or founded with a Mercury-Pluto opposition dangerous secrets are dealt with and are sometimes used against opponents when blackmail is deemed a necessary tactic.

*Now Sufi philosophy's concept of the perfect man in some ways seems to tally with Adam Weishaupt's Illuminati theory that man can through reason perfect himself and is in no need of rules, government, religion, etc.

And of course, 'reason' points to The Enlightenment era (the 'Age of Reason') and its planetary significator, the Uranus-Neptune duo. And since I've typed much on SO'W about this combo and its effects that work against society's best interests--meeting in Great Conjunction @'18Cap' as they did three times in 1993 and creating what I at least use as a natal horoscope of the modern-day 'new world order' that now spies on us--I shall add little to the wordage today--except to remind us all of the Sabian Symbol for '18Cap' of Uranus-Neptune since it touches upon the topic of this post:

We Forfeit Our Privacy for Alleged "Security"

Okay, I suppose it seemed to some readers that I protested too much during my 8 years of writing this blog concerning America's natal Mercury-Pluto opposition denoted in part by the Eye in the Pyramid's floating Capstone symbolizing the US government's overreaching spying tendencies which were allegedly justified by the terrorist attacks on 9/11/01.

With massive surveillance of US citizens codified by George Bush's signing of the USA Patriot Act on October 26, 2001 (video below, though Clinton and others had managed to erode the Constitution and Bill of Rights prior to 2001), the NSA and other spying agencies have had their naughtiness leaked to the press this week as you certainly cannot have missed.

As Rachel Maddow pointed out on on her broadcast last evening, let's not forget that John Poindexter was appointed by Dubya to head the TIA--Total Information Awareness unit of Homeland Security--Poindexter of Iran-Contra fame and prison sentence. Review its Big Brother logo if you wish and marvel at neocon audacity--the Eye of Surveillance casting its snooping rays upon a globe with the motto "Knowledge Is Power"! The 'TIA' label and logo were cancelled when the public freaked out over its nasty implications but obviously the program's surveillance practices have only increased as technology improved its abilities.

A quick peek at a horoscope of October 26, 2001 (White House--"This morning--" said Bush at the Act's signing) shows that at 10:54 am edt in Washington DC, Pluto @13Sag36 rises with its obsession for control and manipulation, and still in conjunction with US natal Ascendant as the planet of power, assassination, and the Invisible Cape was on September 11, 2001. As you know, transiting Saturn Rx (also a karmic planet of control and restriction) was @14Gem11 opposing Pluto and sitting atop US natal Descendant. A cruel, brutal, karmic combination is Saturn-Pluto.

Warring star of violence, Antares, is conjoined by Pluto the Spy, and Jupiter @15Can36, conjoins the Pentagon's natal Ascendant. Curious is the Sabian Symbol of Pluto's degree: '14Sag' = "The Pyramid and the Sphinx" with its Keyword: CERTIFICATION. My supposition at the time was (and is) that the so-called USA Patriot Act was considered by global government types as a certification of their total surveillance plan necessary for continuing to implement totalitarian control of America and the entire globe.

'Wild Cards of the Universe': Eclipses Uncover Secrets

Now I could type much today concerning these topics but my schedule won't allow so yet I must include another Sabian Symbol which this week's leaks (predicted by the Solar Eclipse of November 13, 2012 @22Scorpio--an influence on Election Day 2012--as noted then conjoining America's 12th cusp of Politics, Secret Enemies, Large Institutions, Karma, and Self-Undoing--Scorpio = secrets and spies) lift up for our consideration as they appear in every news media.

Adding the Illumination Point opposite this degree is even more illuminating, but first see this on PRISM software, if you haven't or check out The Nation's Greg Mitchell on the Prism program; some italics and bold are employed to focus upon our topic:

Note: remember the US government's PROMIS software scandal of the early 1990s? Writer Danny Casolaro was murdered to keep his in-progress book on The Octopus (global crime and banking syndicate) from being published along with his knowledge of PROMIS--all his notes mysteriously disappeared from the Virginia hotel room the weekend his voice was silenced. Anyway, PROMIS was sold with 'backdoors' in place and we now hear of 'backdoors' to Internet servers. If Apple "never heard of" Prism, perhaps the program was called by another name.

Does it seem curious that first President and Master Mason George Washington's natal Venus position is 29Pisces? Or that PROMIS software may have been purchased by David Koresh, killed in the horrendous Clinton-Reno Siege at Waco?

Moon-Tracking Bilderberg Conference 2013 (June 6 - 9)

June 6-9, 2013: Hertfordshire's No-Fly Zone and No Public Access

From June 8, 2013 through June 9, 2013, the Bilderberg Conference will be held in Watford, Hertfordshire, UK. Tracking the Moon beginning at 12:00 am BST (June 6) until 5:16 pm BST Watford when Luna reaches 00Cancer00 on June 9, we find three Sun-Moon combinations to briefly consider concerning this 'confab' that some say has an economic agenda to usurp the US Congress by setting policy without congressional input or interference.

This wouldn't surprise me especially when we note the constant undermining of the US Congress and the American public's trust in its competence, a plan of action which has been obvious for the last several years, if not decades. And I must add that the first year of the Obama administration--in fact, all of its years--is imprinted with the planetary signature of Jupiter-Neptune, the duo of speculators, wastrels, grand schemers, money-printing inflation, and bubbles'n'busts.

How perfect for Fed-head Ben Bernanke who keeps printing funny money to prop up the Obama economy after the Great Bush Heist of 2008! And with this weekend's opposition between Mercury and Pluto, we expect the Bilderberg Conference attendees to be dealing with secret projects, confidential info, and dangerous ideas that, if leaked, would probably cause financial panic or worse.

Notably, the Moon @9Gem38 (12:00 am BST) conjoins gold-hoarding Midas and trickster Pan (panic!) on Saturday June 8, day of the Full Moon @18Gem00 which was mentioned in yesterday's post on my WordPress blog. (The Moon enters Gemini at 4:32 am BST on June 7, 2013.) Are they preparing for their next engineered financial panic? Or will it be caused by their foreign enemies? Well, allegedly, Russia and China are not attendees but perhaps that's not suspicious at all.

So as you know, in Mundane Astrology the astrological Moon signifies The People, The Populace, the public mood, trends, publicity, reigning needs. The Sun describes leadership and goals of an egotistical kind. The two luminaries together provide more information than one of them alone so let's peek behind the curtain at the Sun-Moon blends from June 6 through June 9, 2013 (using 5:16 pm BST, as noted, when the Moon floats into Cancer, sign of shrewdness in business, domestic issues and products, self-protection, private enterprises, food and nurturance concerns including Real Estate. Naturally, the Sun remains in Gemini until Summer Solstice.)

Thursday June 6, 2013: Sun Gemini-Moon Taurus (the bull of Mithras and Wall Street) is an Air-Earth combo of rationality, efficiency, and productivity with abstract thought meeting the world's nitty-gritty issues in a scientific approach. Knowledge is practically applied for ideas can be turned into reality.

Negatives of this blend include a tendency to talk over and over the same ground, over-absorption with self, and a lack of sympathy for the feelings of others.

Now here's a flash of enlightenment from a past financial wizzard who shares the Sun Gem-Moon Tau combo natally--Cornelius Vanderbilt who famously asserted that, "What do I care about the law? Hain't I got the power?"

Friday June 7 retains the above blend until 4:32 am BST when the Moon leaves Venus-ruled Taurus and enters Mercury-ruled Gemini. As you know, Sun Gem-Moon Gem, is the blend of Saturday's Full Moon which I discussed here if you're curious. But I shall add the quote I posted there from a famous economist of yesteryear who shares this blend natally--John Maynard Keynes: "Ideas shape the course of history," which evidently is what Bilderberg conferences are all about.

As noted, Saturday June 8 is the day of the Sun Gem-Moon Gem Full Moon; click the above link for more info on this Mercurial blend with its trade and commerce implications.

Now Sunday June 9 remains a double Gemini day until the Moon enters Cancer at 5:16 pm BST giving an Air-Water Sun Gem-Moon Cancer tone toward the end of the secret conference. Intimate communications are on the menu, as are acute perceptions along with a vibe of clannishness. Feelings and thoughts may become confused or mixed with this blend and its Air-Water quality turns misty and ethereal as it reflects on hidden meanings.

Sun Gem-Moon Can is super-sensitive and doesn't handle criticism well. The usual lock down on discussion topics and decisions has become well known through the years and helps tamp down interference and criticism from the general public whose lives are affected by the Bilderberg actions which may issue from this conference as they revel in their 'grand awareness' of what's going on. Yet remaining attached to old emotional biases and myths is implied by Sun Gem-Moon Can and is something that may be addressed for its attendees who must get aboard the global government train no matter what havoc it threatens to wreak upon millions of people's lives.

Now I'm not certain how the following words from a Sun Gem-Moon Can native apply to this weekend's Bilderberg Conference but I'll close with them and assume that you will decide, if you may. This is from one of my favorite authors:

June 8 2013 New Moon--Full Moon June 23 2013

With the upcoming New Moon in Gemini on Saturday June 8, 2013, here's a smidgeon I posted about it today on my WordPress blog concerning its Sabian Symbol: "A Large Archaic Volume if you're curious (well, Gemini is the sign of curiosity!)

In addition, you'll find very useful information on Saturday's Gemini New Moon by moseying over to read Depali Desai's excellent overview at Celestial Space. Plus, Libra Seeking Balance provides valuable information if you're interested.

The June 8, 2013 New Moon is the seeding phase of activities that will come to fruition/fulfillment/culmination at the Full Moon of June 23, 2013 @2Cap09 (7:32 am edt), a day when Luna is quite active so it will be a busy day for most people. Her aspects after perfection are a sextile to Saturn in Scorpio (11:58 am edt), a sextile to Neptune in Pisces (12:28 pm edt), a conjunction with powerful Pluto in Capricorn (8:37 pm edt), and she rounds out her daily tasks by squaring radical Uranus in Mars-ruled Aries (11:27 pm edt.)

As you can tell, Lady Luna sprinkles fertile moon beams over the Water Trine between Saturn and Neptune, then goes on to alert the difficult Cardinal Square energies between Uranus and Pluto...which does not sound to me like a very quiet weekend at all.

If you dare and have the time, here's a site that's new to me in case you wish to check out such topics as Who the new world order aggressors are and What their agenda includes...it's Something for the People which also links to Cutting Edge.

Cutting Edge provides a Timeline of events that most people remember but may not have realized their full significance while they were occurring. One such is the "Fall" of the Berlin Wall, an important timer on the road to the 'new world order' (or, 'new world economic order' as some call it including Pope John Paul the-whatever.) Apparently the Vatican is the chosen vessel of the new order's "religious" content as if that makes the slightest bit of sense to a Protestant like me! Plus, some say that the "Mark of the Beast" in Scripture is Sunday worship which doesn't jive at all with the 7th-day Sabbath keeping of this blogger or with that of other believers who take seriously the ministry of Jesus Christ.

Not to mention those of other faiths who worship on Fridays or on other days!

The solemnity of Saturday ("Saturn's Day") has not been changed by the Vatican, they just pretend it has and use the fact that almost all Protestant denominations misguidedly follow them into Sunday worship--24 hours too late! The Sabbath is a 24-hour window of Time through which we may see Eternity, all the way back to Earth's Creation Week and as such it has not changed or been changed from its Fourth Commandment sacredness which admonishes us to "Remember the Sabbath Day". In fact, Jesus rested in His tomb on the 7th-day Sabbath and arose on the First Day of the Week, the day of the Sun, the day the Vatican is determined that everyone will eventually observe--if they want to 'buy or sell'.

Planetary Markers of a 'new world order'

Now if you're an astrologer you know that on the night the Berlin Wall was torn down (November 9, 1989), the *Great Conjunction/s of Saturn and Neptune were occurring (from 10 to 12 Capricorn, where transiting Pluto--the Pope; the Secret Hand--now treads. This creates a midpoint picture which links 1989 with current day so let's consider its potentials for manifestation while remembering that the pair of Saturn-Neptune denotes such things as Communism, Socialism, Bolshevikism, Capitalism, Materialism v Spiritualism, secret/invisible government, martyrs, poor and depressed people, suffering, leaders who deceive, strong v weak, etc--and walls (Saturn) dissolving (Neptune):

1989 Saturn-Neptune = tr Pluto 2013+: rejection of responsibility and denial of guilt by guilty parties; new ideas on evolution upset long-held but weaker historical theories; punishment for those who've let decay and decadence persist (the IRS' spend thrifty parties and dance videos? And of course, emotional manipulation especially via fear is one of the main tools by which propagandists sway the public toward acceptance of a 'new world order' in which, as we've already seen in Newtown, CT, our children are not safe from their gun-toting grasp.

If you're curious, Attorney General Eric Holder's Wiki page tells much of his personal and professional history such as his appointment to the DC Superior Court by Ronald Reagan in 1988, his work during the Clinton administration, and his brief service under George W. Bush.

Of course nowadays, his term as Attorney General under the Obama administration's Department of Justice is in the news for its many scandals (if that they all be) concerning the Bush-instituted Fast and Furious gun-running program, the current AP-James Rosen tracking, and IRS 'Targetgate'. The GOP will do anything and level any charge to undermine the character and administration of President Obama which makes their investigations of Eric Holder and others suspiciously political in nature.

Yes, Atty Gen. Holder has been within the sights of the Republican Party for years and his opposition to the Bush-Cheney 'Patriot Act' is only one example of the flea under the GOP saddle when it comes to Eric Holder, the first man of color to serve as US Attorney General.

An Astro-Peek begins...

Born on January 21, 1951 in the Bronx, NY during a Neptune Station Retrograde (19Lib32), Eric Holder's natal Sun position (00AQ51 at noon since his birth hour is unknown to me) conjoins US Inaugural Sun every time a new president is sworn into office. ('1AQ" = "An Old Adobe Mission" which reminds me in part of the Cross of Lorraine but that's another story and way beyond the meager scope of today's post.)

Fortunately for my purposes, the Moon remained in Cancer for the duration of Jan 21, 1951 so we may be confident of his Sun AQ-Moon Cancer personality blend, an ethereal, misty Air-Water combination of 'divine discontent'.

If you visit his Wiki page linked above and scroll to 'Awards', you'll find that he once received a "Visionary" award and this Sun-Moon combo supports the compliment with its 'far-reaching imagination' tone. A progressive thinker yet emotionally old-fashioned, Atty Gen. Holder has a well-developed and compassionate social conscience underpinned by a Piscean Jupiter (Jupiter's sign tells how one relates to others.) Natal Saturn is Rx yet exalted in Libra, sign of the Scales of Justice (DoJ!), and idealism with democratic leanings is evident.

His Aquarian side can be naive as he studies others with a detached air, and his Cancerian Moon is very home and 'homeland' oriented to the point of clannishness. This Sun-Moon blend gives him the ability to rationalize any irrational actions he might take and a deep devotion to the truth can hardly help but be compromised while working in the environs of the US government and cynical, jaded Washington DC.

All in all, Atty Gen. Holder's personality is one of friendliness and warmth yet with a 'keep the door open' sort of escapist attitude that suits his Justice Department position--and working with devious politicians--quite well.

Law, politics, market speculation--these and other management positions come naturally with a Sun-Saturn trine individual and his advanced education has made these fields of endeavor possible. He is a sustaining force within relationships and his Venus-Neptune trine adds imagination and a generosity in his judgments of others.

For quirkiness, we may look to a separating opposition between Mercury (6Cap31, where powerful manipulator Pluto has visited of late giving conditions intensity and a deepening awareness of other people's motives--and of course, Mercury-Pluto relates to surveillance, spying, investigation, research, eccentric opinions, and propaganda of a political kind) and The Witness and Rebel, Uranus (6Can29 Rx.) A Mercury-Uranus opposition gives him a 'genius for incurring the wrath of others' (Pelletier), a tendency to refuse to compromise, and bluntness in speech. This opposition indicates that some may consider Holder to be strange, unreliable, arrogant, and/or conceited about his mental abilities. (Republican interrogator Darrel Issa comes to mind.)

Before closing, let's also consider two midpoint pictures which remain in force no matter the birth hour used; any, all, or none may apply, and I emphasize the first one because it's a doozy involving conservative Saturn, progressive Uranus, and powerful wealth-hoarder Pluto, the Spy:

Well, there's my brief, incomplete astro-peek at Attorney General Eric Holder. I won't add any links to the 'scandalous' news stories he's featured in because you know which rocks they're under and because you can toss a reluctant astrologer in any direction these days and easily find such scoops for yourself!

Overnight, a video of Michele Bachmann was posted to YouTube in which she announces her decision not to seek re-election in 2014 for a 5th term in Congress. When they say it's "not in any way" because of the competition or the federal investigation into her shady use of her campaign 2012 funds, etc, we can be fairly certain that those are precisely what forms the perfect storm she's not willing to fight against in 2014. Will her decision cause some of the legal heat to cool while she remains in office?

US Venus Return June 2013: Saturn leads a locomotive pattern

US Venus returning to natal degree on June 5, 2013

On June 3, 2013 at 11:10:39 am edt, White House, transiting Venus returns to her natal degree in America's 'Sibly' chart (July 4, 1776 5:10 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA) of 3Cancer06. Having an approximate cycle of one year, Venus Return horoscopes tell how the year will proceed within the realms of Venus: relationship-partnerships-alliances, financial matters including monetary evaluation, diplomacy, art and music, social and cultural events.

As you know, Venus rules the principle of attraction (to and from) and in shrewd Cancer, America is attracted to Cancerian-Lunar concerns such as home and business, security needs, food supplies, parental and emotional concerns, creative endeavors, art, beauty, and finances (their supply or lack thereof--here, quirky disruptive Uranus @11Ari49 The Rebel is at a sensitive point in the 8th house of Corporations, Taxes, Debt, Credit, Death, Transformation, etc--near the 9th cusp.)

In any planetary return chart, the natal aspect or aspects of the planet under consideration is very important for interpreting the Return horoscope which in the case of Venus, 'looks ahead' about one year until Venus' next return to natal degree in 2014.

In America's natal 'Sibly' horoscope, Venus only applies to a conjunction with natal Jupiter @5Can56 ('6Can' = "Game Birds Feathering Their Nests"--they certainly do) yet in our Venus Return 2013 horoscope, Venus has already moved beyond investing Jupiter (25Gem18.) Both planets are posited in Venus Return ('VR') 11th house of Groups, Associations, Hopes, and Wishes. Also, Venus rules VR 3rd house of Communications and the 10th house of Career and Public Status.

A Venus-Jupiter conjunction indicates generosity, optimism, and financial good fortune but may lead to indolence, laziness, and too much ease when effort is what's called for. Additionally, Venus rules the separative SN conjunct MC, a time when career moves may be thwarted, bad timing interferes, and old habits are out of sync with current trends--thus, recognition is slow in coming, if at all. Yet with the Nodal axis spotlighting the IC conj NN and 4th house of Domestic Scene, we may expect a few improvements to express there including in Real Estate.

Later in 2013, the 2013 Venus Return chart may tell us something of the financial stalemates in Washington DC which are virtually promised by the GOP-Tea Party with their anti-anything-Obama manner of sore-losership and weird ideology of Weishauptian dimensions, an ideology which includes a centuries-old plan for global governance and domination.

Our June 3, 2013 Venus Return Ascendant is @23Leo46 and thus the chart is ruled by the Sun @15Gem06 which makes no applying aspects to other planets at all. However, the Venus Return Sun does inconjunct NN showing a leader (Sun) and the public (NN) needing some type of adjustment between them in relation to Venusian issues. And since US natal Venus conjoins Fixed Star Mirzam (to have one's say--and VR Mercury @7Can55 conjoins out-spoken Mirzam, we may hear announcements concerning financial and/or diplomatic-pacts-alliances with the day of our VR 2013 showing a peak of such activities and events.

Yet naturally Venus and other planets transiting this return chart's planets and angles, plus, the perfection of return aspects, describe peaks of activity as well.

Now if we use the rounding-up method for America's natal Venus degree (3Can06) we find that the word picture or symbol for '4Can' is: "A Cat Arguing with a Mouse" and here is what Marc Edmund Jones says about this symbol:

"4Can" = JUSTIFICATION. Positive expression: a gift for persuading others to accept the motives of self and to co-operate with its ends"; Negative (unconscious/shadow side--jc) :interminable quarreling with the nature of things.

US Venus is looking at You, Capitol Hill-ers of a jackass persuasion!

Then there's the chart's locomotive pattern with Saturn Rx @5Sco39 in 3rd house. Power, genius, persistence, and prophecy are some of the gifts in a horoscope containing a locomotive pattern of planets. Karmic planet Saturn when in Scorpio has a 'survival of the fittest' vibe which points directly to Ayn Rand objectivists and the Social Darwinism that certain politicians wish to impose upon everyone but their exalted selves.

And with Taurus the Bull at MC (The Goal; MC 17Tau17)), we may expect the sign's shadow side of greed, bigotry, intolerance, and racism to continue arguing with the Venusian cat in the House on Capitol Hill when all the cat wants is a warm and cozy spot in the sunshine with perhaps a slice of apple pie as comfort food.

What may aid us is that locomotive Saturn emphasizes the protective Water Grand Trine between Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Neptune so that social and civic concerns are addressed if not entirely solved or improved. See my recent post on Summer Solstice 2013 for more details on the transiting Water Grand Trine with its Saturn-Neptune trine (120 degr) which favors those who work on secret projects such as military strategies and other government enterprises involving skillful analysis; social welfare is also spotlighted by Saturn-Neptune and progress can be made with their trine of opportunity--if no one interferes unduly.

Also at MC is the South Node (SN) of the Moon--and the Moon (We the People) is nearby as well, though on the 9th house side of Midheaven. Lady Luna @11Tau49 is in a fated septile aspect (51 degr) with Return Venus denoting possibly chaotic conditions, and VR Mars @3Gem41 in 10th house conjoins President Obama's natal Moon (3Gem21), a period when feelings lie close to the surface, anger may be expressed, and the pace of life picks up even more.

Well, these are a few considerations of America's next-up Venus Return which leads the list of America's 2013 planetary returns--here they are in order of occurrence; all natal positions are based on our nation's 'Sibly' horoscope of July 4, 1776:
