This afternoon when the US Congress gavels in on Capitol Hill, 17Vir04 rises, and with its opposite degree 17Pis04 descending, shows the critical or crisis nature of this week's business for 17Vir/Pis are critical degrees on the 6/12 (victim/savior) axis.

US natal Neptune 22Vir25 (planet of illusion, deception, fraud, and inspiration) is the first US planet to rise and it brings along our national and problematic Mars/Neptune square.

At 2:00 pm edt, May 23, 2011, chart-ruler Mercury 11Tau35 has just passed from 9th house into the Big Business 8th H of Shared Resources, Other People's Money, Debt, Credit, Insurance, and Transformation; also in 8th H are Venus 9Tau30, Mars 9Tau19, and Jupiter 27Ari29, with ideological, money-and-corporate-minded Jupiter the significator of the Republican Party. Jupiter's Sabian Symbol tallies with the American people's low approval rating for the US Congress: '28Ari' = "A Large Audience Confronts the Performer Who Disappoints Its Expectations."

8th cusp is also at a critical-crisis degree @ 12Ari19...'13Aries' = "A Unsuccessful Bomb Explosion" (which relates to 'a waste of opportunity and a futile expenditure of of self through vanity or petulance."

As for chart-ruler Mercury (planet of voting, negotiations, oration, trade, commerce, and thinking processes) makes no applying aspect to a planet in the gavel-in chart for May 23, 2011 and this sets the tone for how things will proceed this week in the House of Representatives: it doesn't. Or, everything depends on Mercury's house and sign placements, and its degree symbolism (see below.)

However, Mercury does trine the critical-degreed Ascendant (2:00 pm edt) whose Sabian Symbols (let's check out '17' and '18' Virgo) may give us word pictures of interest since they describe the WHAT? The Moon (we-the-people; daily life; publicity) is @ 20AQ38 in 6th H of Daily Rounds, Work, Service, and Health; this indicates that Americans have a Lunar Return today depending on which version of the US natal chart you prefer for July 4, 1776 (natal Moon ranges on that date from 18AQ to 28AQ.) Also in 6th H are the traveling Neptune/Chiron duo, both moving direct now in mystical Pisces.

Disruptive, radical Uranus 3Ari41 in 7th H still travels with Hermes, an archetype of the Magician, Shaman, and Astrologer; the opposition between Saturn and Uranus (the duo connected with Palestine and Israel so those issues continue) has a 7 degr 6 min orb and will continue to separate after Saturn's Direct Station on Jun 12, 2011 @ 10Lib27 and Mr. Lesson-Bringer begins to move forward.

Well, let's close with a few details concerning today's Sun-Moon blend with which Congress begins its week; it's an elegant and mental Air-Air combo of energies.

A Goldman-Sachs natal chart, Scott Walker, and Financial Astrology

While preparing next week's article concerning the horoscope of the July 1, 2011 Solar Eclipse 9Can12 (it's a biggie falling amongst US natal planets in Cancer and spotlights an Earth Grand Cross which includes transit Pluto opposing said Cancerian planets), I feel that a heads-up is in order for those who may wish astrological information on Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and his 'naked power grab' (HuffPo article link included), plus, a view of the IPO (initial public offering) chart for Goldman-Sachs (May 4, 1999) created by Financial Astrology expert Kaye Shinker of Astrological Investing.

Interestingly, the Goldman-Sachs natal chart has 25Can13 rising which conjoins US natal Mercury Rx which places US natal Pluto Rx in Capricorn in the House of Partnerships (7th H) - this highlights our nation's Mercury/Pluto opposition, an indicator of arrogance when challenged for the US government, and for GS.

Having just been privileged to publish with the author's permission May 17, 2011's Scorpio Full Moon Meditation by Daykeeper Journal's lunar expert, Crystal Pomeroy, I thought SO'W readers would appreciate a heads-up on Crystal's insightful column.

Chart-ruler Mars 16Tau03 is in 7th H with Venus 20Tau36 and Mercury 28Tau06, the Lord of the Eclipse so we know that mercurial realms may be affected, such as: Communications (including Media), Transport, Trade, and Negotiations, Pacts, and Agreements. Young people and the news should be included.

The only applying aspect made by Mars is a quindecile (165 degrees = obsession-compulsion) with the Ascendant 1Sco00 (the Sun position in the NWO natal horoscope for October 24, 1993 - the Uranus/Neptune conjunction, # 3 of 3 @ '18Cap' = "The Union Jack" = smug or strong-armed paternalism...Uranus/Neptune are the planets of Illuminism.) Competition and agression are described.

With money sign Taurus on 8th cusp and at a 29th degree, evaluating Venus rules 8th H matters yet with a sense of expediency or even over-eagerness as a critical 29th degree implies. Someone or something is in a hurry! But there's difficult Alcyone, one of the Weeping Sisters, awaiting.

Pluto is co-ruler of the chart and applies to a square with Uranus (Uranus/Pluto = 'collapse of the old order of things, construction of the new' - Ebertin); upsets and violence as a new order is forced upon society. Yes, we know.

The eclipse Moon rules 9th H and indicates changes and fluctuations in 9th H matters, plus, all of our nation's Cancerian planets are posited there: Venus, Jupiter, Sun and Mercury Rx. Eclipse Sun rules 10th H of Public Status and Career. America's NN at MC places our nation's SN at IC (Home; Homeland; Domestic Scene; Security Issues; Endings) which seems to indicate that career and public status matters may go better for us than home matters. However, IC 6AQ12 has the oppressive, corporate Pluto/Chiron midpoint upon it which relates to violence and to home foreclosures as the Oil Can Harry plutocrats continue knocking at our doors and tossing Americans out on the sidewalks to live in their cars (Mercury's 11Gem02.)

8th H ruler Venus applies to a sesquisquare (135 degr) with manipulative string-puller Pluto 6Cap51 Rx (Lord of the Underworld) from 7th H of Partnerships and Open Enemies to 3rd H of Communications and Neighborhoods; this 'interlaced squares' aspect is usually considered minor (an octile...irritation; health issues) and indicates intense interaction with an urge toward promotion of ideas (M. Meyer.)

The Venus/Pluto combo of energies relates to bankruptcy, extremes of private wealth hidden in secret places, volcanic activity (including in financial centers), and breakdown within the fabric of society. (Munkasey.)

Are you still with me? This is depressing, believe me this Saturnian astrologer knows, which is why I've put off this post as long as possible. Yet identifying and facing monsters is the only way to vanquish them. And after the predicted-by-some Judgment Day of May 21, 2011, perhaps this analysis would be different (if it occurred at all) though I doubt it. Well, since May 21st is tomorrow, I shall proceed without such hindsight especially since the popular idea of a 'Rapture' and how the Second Coming will play out does not tally with my own studies of the Books of Daniel and Revelation....though I do agree that there are signs that The End is near if not here. Of course, the smartest thing is to be ready whenever He returns!

In her book Eclipses, Celeste Teal titles this eclipse, Something to Cry About which I assume refers to its 8th cusp at critical or crisis degree: 29Tau24 and the nearness of a difficult Fixed Star, Alcyone 00Gem00: Something to Cry About; sorrow; misfortune; exile; suffering. Any or all may apply.

The above mentioned 8th H and mercurial themes are implicated in this sorrow and we must expect that the enlarged US deficit and debt ceiling imbroglio are factors in where the implied misfortune plays out especially considering that the US dollar is under fire and being abandoned by creditors along with America's dimming reputation in the world and the potential for a US default on debts...if the GOP succeeds in crashing the US economy to make President Obama look bad for 2012.

Other possibilities for this eclipse's influence include: loss of support for the government (political? financial? debt ceiling extension?), sanitation, burial laws, morbidity, imports, and contagion (did you notice that anthrax is back in the news this week?), with attention and discussion relating to taxation, as mentioned. There may be death or resignation (more?) of statesmen, literary figures, educators, or - chillingly - injury to or death of travelers; foreign treaties and pacts are under stress as well. (Teal.)

And with transiting asteroid MIDAS now conjoining US natal Uranus 8Gem55, both bodies are 'eclipsed' or stimulated by the June 1, 2011 Solar Eclipse. This doesn't sound positive for US gold reserves which would affect the global financial system.

One other factor I wish to mention: Lord (ruler) of the June 1, 2011 eclipse, Mercury, squares Neptune (2A50) which describes conditions of distortion of truth, fears of responsibility, lack of realism, fraudulent communications, and an inability or lack of courage for dealing with life's harsh realities. Negative escapism comes to mind but please use in moderation for whoever tries to escape their troubles by use of drugs (including alcohol) should be advised that troubles can swim!

Mea culpa! I just now realized that I neglected to complete penning in (lower right) the name of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who now visits the White House one day after President Obama's major policy address on the Middle East (Saturn/Uranus) yesterday which began with '23Leo' rising and ended with Royal Star Regulus at Ascendant - Regulus = success if revenge is avoided - and as the world knows, endless acts of revenge and retaliation are all the region seems able to manage these days.

Also on the chart, I added that his visit is tomorrow, May 21, but apparently the Israeli eagle has already landed in Washington today and is said to be "disappointed" over Mr. Obama's speech which offered the 1967 borders as the way to go if one actually does want Peace for Palestine and Israel. However, it's actually the 1947 borders which may be the fairest and most legal even though this would put Galilee in Palestine, not Israel.

It is my personal belief that radical National-International Zionism does not want peace in the Middle East but rather a 'King of Jerusalem' and a world capital from which to dominate the entire globe of serfs and pawns...aka, a New World Order, the Utopian dream which inspired the founding of America as the New Atlantis.

For it isn't as if the White House would have sprung Obama's policy speech upon the Israeli government without telling them in advance what would be touted! And the political intrigues and theater performances continue...at least until May 21, 2011 at 6 pm Eastern Time.

IMF horoscope: May 2011's Pluto to natal Sun

With another hearing today to set bail and possibly be released under house arrest, now-resigned IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn has been denied diplomatic immunity by the US.

In my files there are two noon horoscopes for the International Monetary Fund (aka, the "Fund.") The first is set for December 27, 1945 when it was formally organized and 29 countries signed the agreement (Bretton Woods, N. H.), and March 1, 1947 when IMF operations began.

Transiting Pluto now transforms, deconsructs, and brings power and control issues to the IMF's natal Sun (1945); midpoint pictures for December 27, 1945 are descriptive of the sort of worldly power and wealth they wield: Sun/Pluto = Jupiter ($), and the Illuminati pair of Uranus/Neptune pointing to manipulative Pluto which often signifies rapists, plunderers, and saboteurs.

Sun/Pluto = Jupiter: successful striving for power; the urge for expansion and the acquiring of wealth.

Uranus/Neptune = Pluto: abandoning resistance; calamities; losses. (Ebertin.)

The 1947 chart shows Sun 10Pis17 (noon): '11Pis" = "Men Seeking Illumination"; Moon @ '28Gemini' = "Bankruptcy" (what the IMF preys upon - er, I mean...helps nations with.)

In both charts, nebulous Neptune is in Libra: 1945 @ 8Lib34, and 1947 @ 10Lib12; transiting Saturn, bringer of loss and restriction when accountability and responsibility have been ignored or dissed, now sits upon the IMF's Neptune (also a planet of loss) in the 1947 horoscope...the 'grim face of reality' transit. The IMF brings 'grim reality' to nations whose balance sheets are in trouble; for DSK, 'the sheets' are in trouble for entirely different reasons.

The Strauss-Kahn Family

The father of "DSK", as he is familiarly known, is Gilbert Strauss-Kahn, a member in the Grand Orient de France, the largest and oldest Masonic organization in Continental Europe (founded 1733), and a major instigator behind the French Revolution.

In France on December 20, 1781, the Grand Orient Masons and the Illuminati combined into one Order; their alliance was sealed in July 1782 at the Congres de Wilhelmsbad. The conference was attended by Masons, Martinistes, and representatives of secret societies in Europe, Asia, and America. As we would expect, attendees were sworn to total secrecy. This ancient history is important because it is part of Dominique Strauss-Kahn's personal history although I doubt any mention of what lurks behind his mask - and by extension, the mask of the IMF - will be forthcoming as the sexual assault/attempted rape investigation and possible criminal trial goes forward in New York.

And while you may think there's nothing to that synchronicity (what is this strange thing they call 'Astrology'?) no one disputes that a Goldman-Sachs crew was put in place in the White House along with a new president.

My intuition has always told me that Barack Obama would not have gained the bullhorn of the White House if Summers, Geithner, and others had not been part of his financial 'team'. The econo-team appointments were announced as Obama moved in to the executive mansion but were already known to him - the Bilderberg Group meeting that chose between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama occurred in Chantilly, Virginia during the 2008 campaign when Obama slipped away from his campaign plane and left Robert Gibbs to explain his mysterious and sudden absence to the planeful of reporters traveling with them.

So if you are awake to the Big Heist being perpetrated upon the American people (and the world's population) but know others who still snooze, please pass on the message and some video links so that we-the-people can finally jettison the R v D/con v lib fallacy and stand together en masse - on the same side - OUR side!

Blog Note: the only info I've found online for Nomi Prins' birthdate (in order to set up her natal horoscope) is '1950' which makes it seem that she has knowledge of Astrology's usefulness and prefers her privacy (understandable!) A Glittery Newt Gingrich for president! (video)

Most book signings tend to seem awkward and forced to me even when book buyers show up in droves. But the signing on Tuesday (5.17.11) in Minnesota with presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich turned out to be quite a dazzling affair.

Now don't you fret overmuch for Newt and Callista: the glittering direspect did nothing to tarnish their fake smiles!

Candidate Newt Gingrich under fire from big guns

Well, candidate Newt Gingrich has come under fire very early in his campaign for his remarks Sunday on Meet the Press and the fire is coming from the GOP.

Charles Krauthammer, one of the elite neocon new world order bunch, and radioman Rush Limbaugh (ditto) are leading the attack at present. Guess Mr. Gingrich was depending on an imaginary groundswell of support from the masses to quell what he must have known was little if any support from his party.

Or, he just likes being on TV.

Right to healthcare is slavery, says Ron Paul

In the last few years a smattering of SO'W readers have asked me to keep up with Ron Paul more regularly especially during presidential campaigns. And while it's true I've given quite a bit of blog space to Paul's Audit the Fed movement, it is with amazement this morning that I read omnipotentpoobah's article Enslaved to Ron Paul detailing some of his more disturbing antics and remarks concerning US health care's delivery and availability.

Yes, I already knew that the Texas Libertarian holds some quirky views and odd opinions about various things but really..."slavery"? These are the sorts of views from Dr. Paul that make the quirkiness of his son Rand Paul more understandable as apples from trees not far do fall! Perhaps the Paul father-son duo resemble the GHW Bush-George Bush duo in the ideology department of politics more closely than we've been led to think.

My question: is Rep. Ron Paul promoting a cold-hearted totalitarian government that allows the American people to go without even the most basic necessities for sustaining life? Now I know my 10th house Uranus in Gemini can make many people think I'm quirky as all get-out, but these Paul birds are way too quirky even for me!

Well, I hope you caught GOP candidate Newt Gingrich back peddling on what he couldn't spin concerning his record of quirky opinions and misdeeds on Meet the Press this morning! Somehow I don't think he did himself much good with this morning's performance (though it could have been worse) but you may disagree as you prefer.

So why do Republican presidential candidates, or those thinking of running, have such spotty records when it comes to marriage (among other things)? Is Mormon Mitt Romney said to be the front runner for the GOP nomination because his religion's past polygamy stance seems less problematic for a White House victory and he seems less of a loose canon? From charges of flip-flopping to personal disloyalty and adultery issues, what viable nag can the greedy GOP back in the 2012 race?

Mitch Daniels? Puh-leese! Robert Parry calls Daniels the Architect of the US Debt Crisis during his Bush administration tenure and for very good reason so it seems to me that Mr. Daniels has done more than enough damage to America already.

Astrology of May 21, 2011 -- and of October 22,1844

Today I bow to appeals from a few curious SO'W readers and am posting on the topic of May 21, 2011 as the proposed Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Click for NPR's treatment of it for as the article says, We'll know soon enough.

All week I've grabbed a few minutes here and there to study the horoscopes of the upcoming 'twin' Solar Eclipses of June 1, 2011 (Gemini) and July 1, 2011 (Cancer), a rare enough celestial event which intimately affect the US natal horoscope. But that post must wait, for instead I'm doing this.

Bible Prophecy in End Times

Now this Protestant Christian blogger is aware that most people don't spend time studying the Bible at all, and if they do, they don't 'do the math' of when the Second Coming of Christ is likely to be. And since Scripture advises us that, No man knows the hour of His Coming, I've always believed that God will be The Decider on precisely when Planet Earth in its current incarnation will cease and Christ will return "bringing His reward with Him."

However, I do have some history of study concerning another era when people honestly studied, prayed and thought they understood - and had to warn the world, of course - precisely when the Lord was to return, and it was the followers of William Miller (aka, Millerites) who did the math and found that 1844 was the year of His Second Coming. A particular date was surmised: October 22, 1844, and the expectant waiting began.

After that day brought no return of Christ to Earth - historically known as the Great Disappointment, William Miller wrote, "I waited all Tuesday and dear Jesus did not come;...I waited all the forenoon of Wednesday, and was well in body as I ever was, but after 12 o’clock I began to feel faint, and before dark I needed someone to help me up to my chamber, as my natural strength was leaving me very fast, and I lay prostrate for 2 days without any pain, sick with disappointment."

After scanning the Wikipedia entry linked above, I see no mention of the eventual result of the Millerites' Great Disappointment: that the timing was correct but the celestial event was not, for October 22, 1844 timed Christ's entry into Heaven's Sanctuary, where as High Priest offering His own self-sacrifice on The Cross (of Matter, physical death), He began to intercede between the Father and each earthling who accepted His sacrifice for our salvation: if we lift up His name on Earth, He may then lift up our names for intercession. This is a personal God who knows the number of hairs upon our heads that I'm talking about here!

Now a horoscope for October 22, 1844 has been in my files for years, so now as I think of the good people who have studied, done the math, and come up with May 21, 2011 for the same event as did the Millerites, I had to see if there were any correlations between the charts. And what do you know? There are.

Astrology of October 22, 1844 and May 21, 2011

Using charts for sunrise October 22, 1844 and sunrise May 21, 2011, what first pops out is disruptive Uranus...aka, The Witness, and, The Awakener! Uranus (Ouranos), the Sky God, shows where creative genius lies in a horoscope which is the Spark of Life from God as painted by Michaelangelo on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel...God's creation of Adam.

On October 22, 1844, Uranus Rx is placed @ 3Ari18. Uranus is opposed by Mars 2Lib27 (combustible! and argumentative; can indicate tectonic activity) and sextiled by Saturn 00AQ56 (efficiency and self-discipline; unleashes knowledge for the benefit of others.) Both aspects apply (wax) and thus may be consciously utilized.

1844's Uranus also applies to sesquisquare aspect with Chiron 13Vir38 (conjunct Venus 14Vir02.) A sesquisquare (135 degrees; an octile = 8) is a 'square within a square' and represents difficulty and affliction, and is the 'apex of electromagnetic fields'. (The Astrology of Relationships, Michael R. Meyer.) As you know, Chiron, The Key, operates as the Christ archetype in a horoscope: "No man comes to the Father but by Me."

(Magnetic pole shifting comes to mind along with melting ice caps.)

In 2011, Uranus has been positioned at 3Ari+ for some time; on May 21, 2011, The Witness will be at 3Ari36 and moving forward in the Zodiac. Taking the 1844 sunrise chart as a basis for a Uranus Return chart, there are three 'hits' for its position of 3:18 in 1844: May 13, 2011, September 7, 2011, and March 2, 2012. (These dates are exact for its 3:18 position but depending on the hour used for the 1844 chart, Uranus Return dates may vary slightly.)

Also of note considering our topic is a Mystic Rectangle pattern ('practical mysticism') in the 1844 chart between Mars, Saturn, Uranus, and MC 5Leo25 (which conjoins US natal NN) if we don't mind using points (MC, NN) in place of a planet.

Two T-Squares appear at sunrise as well in 1844: Saturn/MC = Sun 29Lib11: lack of courage to face life (don't let this be you! jc); insufficient powers of defence; worry, anxiety, depression, illness; Saturn/MC = ASC: placed in unfortunate circumstances by others; sharing anxieties; parting; sadness. (This echoes the Solar Eclipse info, below.)

Substituting US n NN for the 1844 MC adds more vibes of 'separation and difficulty'.

May 21, 2011 sunrise Washington DC

Well, I debated where to locate the horoscope for this date (the location of the church cited in the NPR article above? Palmyra NY of 1844?) and decided to use the location I most often use on this website, Washington DC, for both charts because of its capacity as a representative for America.

When the Sun rises on May 21st @ 5:55:50 am edt, the Ascending degree and Sun = 00Gem01, conjoining asteroid Cupido (corporations; The Family, including religious organizations and the underworld crime syndicate) along with a difficult Fixed Star, Alcyone 00Gem00 (something to cry about; sorrow; misfortune; exile.)

Yes, Alcyone may be a major culprit in this discussion! Especially since it also has these keywords which hint rather loudly of Judgment Day: "mystical but judgmental".

Disruptive Uranus 3Ari36 is in 11th house and first squares Pluto (3A29; public apathy, or those who work for the greater good), sextiles Sun (3A35; sharing communications with others; willful and outspoken - mea culpa!; unbound by tradition; original thinking and philosophical views), and is opposed by Saturn (7A16; problems relating to others; competition; basic logic ignored; others deserve more credit, not less; past v future; status quo v progress.)

Therefore, the upsetting energies of the ongoing T-Square between Saturn/Uranus and Pluto continue to be emphasized in the collective with its midpoint picture typed here several times prior, yet here it is again:

Saturn/Uranus = Pluto: violence or brutality; a desire to overcome a difficult situation through extraordinary effort; rebellion against one's lot in life; harm through force majeure (war.)

As you know, the Saturn/Uranus duo is associated with the Middle East and particularly with Palestine and Israel. So my expectations for May 21, 2011 and beyond include a ramping up of dangerous events in that region, and/or some catastrophic natural events as the Earth continues heating up and shifting on her axis (large natural disasters like the recent earthquakes in Japan and elsewhere interfere with Earth's axial tilt, etc), and/or potential terrorist activities perhaps inspired by the US assassination of Osama bin Laden (not that terrorists need another excuse than the West's modern invasion of the East...our SN behavior.) Environmental dangers abound as Saturn (tectonic plates; soil; Earth) groans under current Uranian changes and stand-offs.

Another midpoint picture is formed on May 21, 2011 which points to arch manipulator Pluto at apex...Moon/NN = Pluto: separation through a Higher Power or Providence (aka, God.) Now that sounds like a portent especially since Moon/NN (North Node of the Moon) represents on one level, A spiritual link or union with others(Ebertin.)

This lunar pair also represents the Immune System so one thinks of contagion as a possible manifestation and of Earth's immune system so endangered environmentally, as noted above. And on another level, we might say that the May 21, 2011 prediction has gone 'viral' online!

Add to the above picture another factor: the Moon/Saturn midpoint opposes Sun and Asc so we have...

Moon/Saturn = Sun: self-control; separation; suffering; the prevailing mood affects the body constantly; widows.

Moon/Saturn = ASC: meeting with sick or depressed people; mourning or bereavement.

No, they're not comforting pictures yet they are not conclusive, are they?

Other similarities between the 1844 and 2011 charts exist, of course, but this post isn't meant to mention them all for who would read such a long post? Even so, let's continue our chart comparison to what we may hope is not a bitter end.


Solar Eclipses of 1844 and 2011

We may wish to consider the Pre-Natal Solar Eclipses (PE) for both dates which for May 21, 2011 is the January 4, 2011 Solar Eclipse @ 13Cap38 (opposing US natal Sun, the leader or leadership of our nation in the 13 North Series; key theme: large, ambitious group projects which require separation from an existing bond, then joint achievement occurs (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

In her book Eclipses, Celeste Teal titles this critical-degreed eclipse ('13Cap', the Series we're still experiencing) as, "The Balance of Power" and predicts a 'central event with wide-range impact' involving the US government.

I have recently speculated in a prior post that the death of bin Laden can certainly be said to fill that bill, and 'wide-range' describes radiation from the Fukushima quake and ongoing nuclear meltdown; plus, other big events prior to the next eclipse of June 1, 2011 may yet surprise or upset (Uranus) us. Actually, in a few days we will be within range of the June 1st eclipse's influence since eclipse effects may occur up to two weeks prior for they are 'wild cards' similar in action to Uranus' sudden catalytic effects.

The PE of the Great Disappointment of 1844 is the 8 South which manifested June 16, 1844 @ 24Gem53 - brought forward in time by its conjunction to May 21, 2011's South Node! Like the shared degrees of 1844 and 2011 Uranus, this is a time link, with SN indicating past behaviors, talents, neuroses, and something inherited from the past: it's what we fall back on in times of stress. Is this dynamic part of the church's - and society's - unconscious memory (SN) of the Second Coming prediction of 1844? And does it point all of us in the direction (Nodal axis) where we need to shoot forward into the future at the North Node in questing Sagittarius, ruled by religious Jupiter?

Interestingly, the Nodal axis in 1844 was also in Sagittarius/Gemini. On October 22, 1844, SN was @ 5Gem25; May 21, 2011, SN = 23Gem34, and that is the position conjoining the PE of 1844, as noted; 23Gem34, the Tail of the Dragon which now approaches US natal Mars. (Mars/SN = violence; war; military action; disruptive events including natural disasters.)

1844's PE fell in the 8 South Saros Series with its difficult themes of separation, loss, partings; to finish something and be sad at its completion; physical injury is possible. (Brady.)

8S last manifested on September 22, 2006 @ a 29th critical degree, '29Virgo' ("A Man Gaining Secret Knowledge from an Ancient Scroll He Is Reading." This is the Moon's position in the Uranus Return chart of March 13, 2011 mentioned above with Moon as Return chart-ruler and apex point in a YOD - the 'Finger of God' pattern; the YOD contains a mdpt picture of Mars/Neptune = Moon: a struggle ordained by destiny.)


Well, considering the Astrology of it plus all the difficulties and strife being experienced across the globe these days, will May 21, 2011 be the End of Days? Have the conditions prophesied in the Books of Daniel and Revelation now been fulfilled upon the Earth? Some believe so while others scoff, yet others have always scoffed.

We're a planet of scoffers, aren't we?

Personally, I fall somewhere in between. I'm definitely not a scoffer on the topic yet I can't forget the admonition with which this post began that, No man knows the Hour of His Coming. I do know that a small dark cloud will be seen far away and will draw nearer as He and His Angels approach our planet, the Lesson Book of the Universe. Yes, all created beings in God's Universe watch us with great interest and concern for Earth is where evil will be extinguished forever - the happy and eternal result of God's contingency plan (Christ's sacrifice) playing out.

My belief is that people of Earth have much strife to go through still for all conditions may not be met and yet - we're experiencing great tectonic and storm-related upheavals: check. Parents against children, children against parents: check. Knowlege increases, men run to and fro: check. The list goes on so yes, we do seem to be living in the Last Days.

And is Armageddon as described in the Bible the conflagrations now playing out in the Middle East, the Cradle of Civilization? Perhaps, though conditions there can certainly become much worse before the Final Battle occurs.

Perhaps May 21, 2011 marks the end of Christ's Sanctuary intercessions on our behalves.

But to me, one thing is for certain about May 21, 2011 and/or beyond: it behooves each of us to think and pray upon these things and prepare our hearts and consciences, for He will come when He comes for those who are unaware and spiritually unprepared, "As a thief in the night"!

Is Newt Gingrich a "national candidate" yet? 5.11.11

May 11, 2011: Has Newt Gingrich announced his run for US president yet?

He's supposed to be doing so today and weeks ago the story was that his prez bid announcement would be made from Philadelphia's *Independence Hall. My assumption is that announcing from such a location would be a shout-out to Tea Partisans and a bid for hyper-patriotism.

Well, here's Mr. Gingrich's birth data (hour unknown) with a few notes on his natal chart in case he sticks around the campaign trail long enough, successfully stores his past morality baggage of malfeasance and adultery in a dark enough closet, and finally manages to finagle the presidency of the United States.

Personally, I prefer someone who doesn't want the job so obsessively!

And isn't it interesting to note that today is when the planet of announcements, oration, reporting, negotiations, and communications of all kinds - Mercury - leaves its shadow, the degree of its last retrograde station, and begins to move forward into the light?

That degree is '25 Aries' and its Sabian Symbol is:

positive expression: a facility of adjustment by which everything in a given situation may be brought into the fullest co-operation with everything else.

A two-faced degree! Yet it's almost as if Mr. Gingerich makes use of Astrology for its timing function, isn't it?
