On this day, June 28th, in 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie were assassinated, an event used to precipitate World War I. Many people know that particular world conflagration as "The War to End All Wars" though their faith in such overblown campaign rhetoric (by Woodrow Wilson who secretly pledged America into the war via international bankers but had campaigned on a 'peace platform')--well, their faith was extinguished decades ago especially when it comes to war, the Pentagon's reason for existence.

Meanwhile, back in Texas circa June 2013, you and everyone else has heard of the filibuster in the State Capitol by Rep. Wendy Davis that lead to the midnight clock running out on the abortion bill the monarchic Republicans were attempting to shove through the legislature. They further post-dated the record to show they'd taken the vote in time--by midnight--but got caught and had to declare their bill-shoving a failure at 3:03 am.

And so the prideful Texas Governor Rick Perry has vowed to call another special session of the state legislature for Monday July 1, 2013 so that the Republicans can shove the bill through in earnest this time without those pesky Democrats (and, gasp! women!) interfering.

Yet with the Republican Party, one may wonder at their weird disconnect between saving babies from abortion, a noble cause but one I believe politicians should have no say in) while passing and proposing laws that take food from the mouths of hungry kids (who already exist) and pregnant women but that's a GOP Schizophrenia for another post.

So on Monday July 1, 2013, we find that until a few minutes before 5:00 pm Texas Time, the Moon (people; the public) is in fiery Aries, then moves into Venus-ruled Taurus, sign of the stubborn bull (and the Golden Calf.) The Sun @9Can+ remains conjoined to Fixed Star Alhena (to have a mission; having strong beliefs as I'm certain that GOP leadership has) all the day and I thought you might be interested in the Sun Can-Moon Aries combination for July 1, 2013, which will imprint on all activities of that date:

This is a steamy Water-Fire blend of energies signifying potentials for moodiness, shrewdness, tenaciously surviving, and having insights. It describes those who are defensive but forthright, feminine but feisty (!), and able to protect those within their care.

Yes, his poll numbers are up and endorsements pour in for Republican candidate Newt Gingrich with his high-flying Sun Gemini/Moon Sagittarius personality blend. Herman Cain's romantic yet secretive nature and Rick Perry's constant flubbability are aiding Mr. Gingrich with fellow Republicans desperate for a viable horse to bet on in 2012.

Earlier today I published Gingrich's natal horoscope with a few details if you're interested. I'd begun the post a week ago and thanks to our holiday break here in America, only today did I get around to completing it but neglected to move the article into today's queue. Hence this shout-out.

Rick Not-Ready-For-Primetime Perry doin' a Texas 2-Step 'cos 3 just won't come to this 'Parrot Listening Then Talking' fella.

What I mean by citing the Sabian Symbol (word picture for a degree of the Zodiac) below is that Perry's diverting, substandard 'debate' performance confirms to me a suspicion that Gov. Perry's stated objectives are primarily only talking points fed to him by political strategists--points that he must memorize, write on his hand or on paper, or read from a teleprompter--whatever he's counseled and instructed to say by his handlers.

Wonder if anyone has checked the deja-vu Texas governor's back under his suit jacket a la the debatin' George W. Bush? Was it Karl Rove feeding Dubya his answers? Will we ever definitively know?

All My Exes...

Meanwhile, it's 2011 and Rove's parrot bungled his lines in what passes for a political debate in the US.

Now you don't really believe a buffoon such as Perry can be calling any high level shots, do you? He's a shill who pulls the plug on inmates and signs away Texas's assets to the highest bidders. As governor, Perry executes human beings who may or may not be guilty of their alleged crimes. Even with forward strides in DNA identification, in Texas and much of America, who can tell?

Well, if Rick Perry has lost any sleep over his duties and forgetting his lines as a result, may I recommend melatonin for more REM phase sleep. Cutting down on caffeine consumption might help, too.


But there's another thing.

America's political class by and large is in great need. It is in need of being scoured out of all crooks and betrayers of American sovereignty. This includes all those who tout the US government as Not Functioning, or who go on and on about how government is 'too big', too overbearing, etc (thanks, Bush-Cheney regime--you're the Terror Twins who took down the Twin Towers--Gemini = trade, commerce, and ideas...in other words, civilization), or how government is 'failing', etc etc, need to be pushed out the door.

In fact, I'd be in favor of a brief amnesty for political crooks if it would encourage the little rats and weasels to scurry for their lairs.

Well, as far as Campaign 2012 goes, I hope Jeb won't show up to bat for the Rs who are even worse than the Ds. Some political party name-changin' ought to go on up in here, m'peops.

Seriously.

Political parties should call themselves what they actually stand for, factions, warts, and all. And be expected to live up to their names. If not, we know that secret purposes are on top of their to-do lists, not finding viable solutions on behalf of the America people. So far, Perry seems to be the only one of them who can't list up to three things they'd change yet they are what needs changing if they don't believe in America anymore!

For you know it's way too late in the day for mask-wearing to continue to be allowed by The People. 'Public servants' and officials who take Oaths to serve, protect, and defend this country and its citizens but who also take what they consider to be higher oaths are no longer wanted in service to The People. They have abused the public trust and as such are in breach of contract with the American people.

This circumstance has gone on for decades so it's not as if they haven't proven themselves to be brigands, gangsters, and thieves long before now.

Rick Perry Memory Gaffe Described by Nov 10 Full Moon's Sun Symbol

As you know, in Political Astrology, a branch of Mundane Astrology, the Sun represents the leader or the president which Mr. Perry kinda dreams of being, he says, and the Sabian Symbol (word picture) of the Sun's degree during November 10, 2011's Full Moon @ '19Tau' (Sun '19Sco') is a telling tableau that I believe relates to candidate Perry and his painful brain freeze segment during the recent Republican debate (11.11.11.)

'19 Scorpio' = "A Parrot Listening and Then Talking" = CONVENTIONALITY.

Positive expression: exceptional skill in bringing the whole tenor of transient circumstances to the service of a personal aspiration ("Oops!" rp and jc);

negative (unconscious/shadow side): idle mimicry and self-gratifying pretense.

Now if I had to guess (and most commentators and political pundits seem to agree), his most recent gaffe seems to be Farewell to Perry 2012 (see The Perilous Perry Pattern.) This is a view based on the symbol's meaning in relation to Perry's obvious lack of personal connection to his 'own' list of the US gov departments he'd abolish like a White House monarch with the Magic Wand of Imagined Mandate--to be brandished over our lives without any forethought for consequences or blowback. It's the austere right-wing way.

And so the Sun's degree and symbol at the Nov 10, 2011 Full Moon (Sun/Moon phase of fulfillment-culmination-awareness) naturally opposes the Moon's degree making the solar degree the Illumination Point where deeper awareness of unconscious material may be found.

Jon Stewart certainly found comedy treasure in the moment!

(Of course, all degrees have Illumination Points opposite them which is a good way to delve into that blueprint of your unconscious, your natal horoscope--perhaps finding first causes--by 'flipping' all the zodiacal positions in the natal chart and reading the Sabian Symbol (or other system of symbols) for each planet's and cusp's Illumination Point degree. Exs: '1Ari' = '1Lib', '10Leo' = '10AQ" are IPoints. Voila! Your shadow self peeks out with a mercurial wink.)


The Full Moon/degree synchronicity here indicates that the Perry campaign impetus has gone as far (out) as it can go, at least for now. Mars in Leo may have favored Perry but now the more serious, studious sign of Virgo with impetus planet Mars, does not. His quick comeback and handling of his mess-up was pretty good but will not be enough unless all other candidates blaze up and flare out.

My point is, Gov. Perry's hollow performance, with ideological details near-memorized yet void of any true conviction--is linked to the mimicking parrot archetype and reminds me of a friend's parrot years ago, a bird that sometimes messed up on his rehearsed sayings, sometimes on purpose, as it turned out. He was good at pithiness though.


Scary Perry?

Becoming dizzy with the circus lights/look-at-me-world aspects of a situation does not work on TV for anyone who wants to gain or retain a reputation for cool poise and composure. Cool he is not, and Perry seems to me to be the sort of person who tends to laugh inappropriately, such as those who snicker during funerals. And with the GOP now presiding over what they hope will be America's memorial service (R.I.P.), perhaps giddy laughter and murmured justifications such as, Oops at the prospect of lousy leadership are about all the American people care to muster at the moment.

In between our LOLs, that is--at this masterful display of what does work on TV. So view Jon Stewart enjoying his comedic opportunities while feeding his family on The Daily Show above, if you haven't already! Laughter really is one of the best medicines for our ills and the more we ridicule the powerful, the better we'll feel and the less puffed up they will be.

But let's keep the tar simmering on the national hob and our feathery ducks plucked in case we get a chance to use them.

Crazy As It Seems

So who can GOP voters turn to now? Well, they say that popularity polls are on the upswing for Newt!

Our purposefully inefficient, quarreling Congress has inspired a credt rating agency in China to issue (during a TV interview--not good) the US government a debit downgrade warning.

Now you'd think the opinion of Washington's main creditor would carry some weight and get Capitol Hill's nattering noggins bent together and turning out economic consensus amongst them in spite of their tiresome ideological differences.

To do otherwise, and suffer the indignity and financial results of a downgrade compliments of the Chinese government, shows who wants America to fail and collapse which is by its very nature treasonous endeavor committed by zealots with bigger fish to fry than upholding US sovereignty.

Financial Astrology, Uranus/Neptune, Shifting Poles, old Henry Clay and youngish Rick Perry

Here New Zealand astrologer Barbara Goldsmith gives her comprehensive view on 2011 events, financial and social conditions in a video presentation. First she goes over her 2011 predictions which have come to pass and it's a daunting list if you care to skip to the middle. I say this because we're all in process of experiencing these events of 2011 now and therefore may wish to avoid hearing them listed at this particular juncture.

Well, there are some moments when Astrology simply isn't needed, for we can hear about events in the news or peer onto our very doorsteps, can't we?

So the primary reason I'm publishing (belatedly--mea culpa!) Barbara's video on 2011 predictions in September is that around halfway through, she addresses the shifts of transpersonal (collective; outer) planets Uranus into fiery Aries and Neptune into its own watery sign of Pisces.

If you haven't viewed before, I hope you have 10 minutes to tune in. Plus, maybe like me you'll see that her bookshelves hold some of the same Astrology books as yours!




Barbara Goldsmith's predictions for 2012 will be useful now that we're entering the difficult period of Autumn 2011 into the oft-touted yet dreaded year of 2012. My fret is that the promised 'Paradigm Shift' will be purposely engineered by social tinkerers and Uranian chaos creators who are in process of collapsing the global financial system for their own rebuilding and control aims.

And although I don't like mentioning it, these potentially chaotic conditions could fulfill the ancient 'no one will be able to buy or sell without the mark of the beast' Biblical prophecy.


Is Neptune Holier-Than-Thou?

In her video, Barbara relates a stratification of society to Neptune in Pisces' desire for existence on a loftier plane and I have wondered (somewhere on this blog but with almost 3,000 posts, it's difficult to find mentions that don't have specific tags) if NASA's ISS and certain undersea capsules have been invented for Those Who Will Escape the Worst of Earth's coming travails until things settle down for their 'royal' emergence.

Thing is, no one born on Earth can escape karma for all must reap what they sow.

Yet chaos-creating Chiron/Uranus types always keep handy escape hatches available for their exclusive use, you know.

If nothing else, my Capsule/Space Station as Escape Hatch theory shows you how deeply suspicious I can be of global corporatists and shady monarchs, doesn't it? ;p

Talk about plans with no prospects for fulfillment!


2012, 2012, and...2012

Another facet of the Paradigm Shift 2012 question is, of course, Earth's obvious physical changes (earthquakes, volcanoes, ice melting, all of which can be man-induced or encouraged through ecological assaults and unusually powerful weather events--HAARP? Hedron Collider? mad scientists!) These earth changes are cyclical--so are magnetic poles shifting? If more and more animals fly or migrate as if drunken by confused navigation systems, I'm guessing that could one small clue.


Speaking of mysterious events under the sea, here's a tidbit from April 2000 concerning the lost Henry Clay, named for a prominent and controversial US politician who is featured this weekend on C-SPAN's The Contenders.

With its spotlight on past presidential candidates who lost but "changed political history", my intention is to view all of The Contenders including the segment on Progressive Movement candidate Eugene Debs who helped champion the social improvements of the early 1900s, the ones that 2012 presidential candidate Rick Perry promises to abolish from high atop the perch of the Oval Office, a plan which to my dissenting American mind (a DAR persuasion peeking through!) should disqualify Mr. Perry from running for US President.

So I ask you: in what watery, upside down world can a secessionist, of all creatures, effectively govern as US president the United States of America?

Come on now! Perry makes it clear he's a divider, not a uniter.

Neptune to Our Solar Eclipse Degree 00Pis33

Yes, transit Neptune to 00Pis00 has simmered up a thick, murky broth for the American people to stew in, compliments of transpersonal forces which dissolve and undermine our nation as described on one level by Neptune's conjunction to America's Pre-Natal Eclipse Series, circa 1776 (00Pis33.)

A repetition of America's PE manifested once again on July 11, 2010 (12 South Saros Series) and its flavors resonate directly with the BP-Deepwater Horizon Blowout of April 2010 which decimated our Gulf Coast region through corporate-instigated environmental terrorism. About 4 days after the eclipse occurred, BP announced a successful capping of the well--finally:

12S = 'successful outcomes to long term worries; a situation or an issue will at first seem worse, then clear with good outcomes', to paraphrase Bernadette Brady's Predictive Astrology.

(Historical Note: after 12S, the next Solar Eclipse in the Founders' era occurred on August 14, 1776 and actually describes the founding of America to perfection. It's the 13 North Series which speaks of 'breaking an already existing bond for the sake of large, ambitious group projects; initial separation then joint achievement'! (Brady.)

This hints to me that the completion of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on August 2, 1776 under the influence of 13N is an integral component embedded within our nation's identity, perhaps even more so than the July 4, 1776 date the Founders wanted us to celebrate as our national 'birthday'.

We do so slavishly, of course, with patriotic fervor and idolatry yet its seems that the Cosmos may have a slightly different calendar than mortal men! Is this one of the reasons some (possibly Astrology-informed) delegates waited until August to sign? (The 13N Series actually began on August 14, 1776 which resonates with the important new World cycle that started with America's founding.)

Traditionally, America relates to the world as a Water-Air, past v future Sun Can/Moon AQ personality blend, but the August 14, 1776 Solar Eclipse presents the US as a double-Air, idealistic, zealous-for-justice Sun Libra/Moon Libra nation!

Unfortunately for the populations of many countries, it's in 2011 and 2012 that eroding, nebulous, merging, self-deceptive, and often fraudulent Neptune softly stirs up 00Pis00/33 in the Tropical Zodiac, creating a karmic, watershed moment in World and US history as I suspect you may agree.

Ex: recently it's been reported that the Deepwater Horizon well is leaking again--that Neptunian erosion of the 'successful outcomes' which the July 2010 eclipse described in such hopeful terms. Of course, with media-loving Neptune's talent for confusion and deception, it remains to be 'seen' if the Macondo well is leaking or not.


All this and I didn't even mention transforming, sabotaging, destructuring Pluto in system-loving Capricorn, now creeped back into closer opposition to US natal Jupiter 5Can56...'6Can' = "Game Birds Feathering Their Nests." (Rudhyar; Jones.)

Hmmm...wonder if those cozy, plush nests they've protectively feathered are orbiting in Uranian space or perhaps secreted beneath a Neptunian sea?

And the breaking of an already existing bond was less than one year away!

My fervent hope for America is that many of us now feel similarly about the lousy terms upon which ideologue GOPers propose to (again) misrule this nation. And if you agree, you cannot seriously consider sitting out the November 2012 presidential election. Seriously. Electing a president by default will not be an option.

Mundane Matters: Riots, Upheaval, and Mars Square Saturn

In an attempt to catch up with some Astrology reading online this morning, I came across Mary Plumb's excellent Moon/Mars Square Saturn post from August 2011 on her Mountain Astrologer blog which reveals the path of a busy Mars, upstart and warrior, as The Fiery One triggers riots, upheavals, violence, and enraged feelings around the globe.

Plus, in the article's footnotes, Mary notes the triggering of Summer Eclipses by god of war, Mars, which has been out-of-bounds of the earthly plane for several weeks but is now back within the fold of our planetary panoply, though at a difficult spot in the Zodiac--19Can08 this morning. Therefore, Mars will soon conjoin the Twin Stars, Castor and Pollux (20--24Cancer), with both stars possessing murderous and cruel implications on the mundane level of life, creative as they may be when linked to our natal planets.


A Major Supporting Role

Of course, the Uranus/Pluto square, close to exactitude last on August 8, 2011 (horoscope shown, set for DC), plays its supporting role in the violence as well, recalling their extreme, intense influence of riots, protests, head-knocking, and Civil Rights/Anti-War/Workers' Rights demands of the mid-1960s, time of their last Great Conjunction in mid-Virgo.

So with radical rebel Uranus and sabotaging, manipulating Pluto square (90 degrees = frustration, blockages, obstacles) one another from initiating Cardinal signs (Aries and Capricorn), they're ready for action.

This pits a Mars-ruled actor in me-first Aries against a Saturn-ruled actor in Capricorn, sign of government, law, and business--and Mars/Saturn is a difficult combination of energies with 'persistent war' and 'taking what belongs to others' connotations.

For some relief, however, the Mars/Saturn combo has an off-on/hot-cold/stop-go flow of energy and thus, of influence so we should take breaks where we can.


Rick Perry: Preacher, Prez Candidate, or Both?

Is Rick Perry the Prez Pick of the Bilderbergs?

My friend Alex D'Atria over at Political Astrology 2010 ~ 2012 is seeing Rick Perry as the presidential nomination choice of the social tinkering power elite known as the Bilderberg Group. One thing about: if he's the one they want, he's the one we'll get (remember that Barack Obama slipped away from his campaign plane in June 2008 to meet with the group in Chantilly, VA, with candidate Hillary Clinton in attendance as well. Was their choice for US president then declared?)

Now wouldn't a Perry-Bachmann ticket be yet another kick in the head to America's under-siege working class? And that's not counting the importance of who controls the White House in 2013 by which time Supreme Court Justices may retire and SCOTUS's already overly autocratic, monarchist traits will only be expanded by a Republican administration's appointments.

'You Need to Know This' says Thom Hartmann, who just reported on his TV show that Goldman-Sachs has announced the layoff of 1,000 US workers so that the bailed-out-by-US-taxpayers firm can send the jobs to Singapore. So tell me: will you vote Corporate GOP in 2012?

Thom also correctly points out today that Michele Bachmann's 'John Quincy Adams was a Founding Father' misconception means that John Q. helped found this nation at the age of nine! Perhaps she meant to say, second president John Adams, his father. But apparently, John Q.'s Wikipedia page has been edited to reflect Bachmann's ridiculous revisionist history as was the page on Paul Revere! You know, Wikipedia, this is the sort of crud that causes me to use your links in my articles less and less.

And I agree with Mr. Hartmann when he says, Nationalize the Federal Reserve which is neither federal nor does it have reserves! jc
