some words on leadership from Golda Meir

A leader who doesn't hesitate before he sends his nation into battle isn't fit to be a leader.

-Golda Meir (natal Sun Taurus/Moon Libra = the practical realist)

No matter your opinion of the woman, she's correct on this point.

May 1, 2003's New Moon

On the morning of May 1, 2003, the day of Bush's Mission Accomplished propagandist stage craft, there was a New Moon 10Tau43 (8:14 am EDT.)

At the moment of the New Moon, the speculative, idealistic Jupiter/Neptune midpoint was focused upon it which gives us these pictures:

Jup/Neptune = Sun: irresponsibility; a squandering of physical strength; deceving or being deceived; potentially misguided states; trying to capture the essence of things; following a dream (George Quixote Bush?);

Jup/Nep = Moon: going with the wind; an emotional swoon; little sense of reality; losing oneself in plans; speculation; instability; wastefulness.

Jupiter that day was conj Bush's and the GOP's natal Mercury (thinking; communications; planning) so you know they were high on something--their own misdirected imaginings, as most people realize by now. And some of that Federalist political pretzel juice was being passed around, no doubt, laced with arrogance.

Your reluctant astrologer (moi) was watching the man with a sock stuffed into his stagey flightsuit--and watching an animated real-time chart (Solar Fire software) as he spoke with the planets rising, culminating, etc...ticking away our lives and our fortunes.

Also at the moment of the New Moon--what midpoint do you think was at MC, the WHY or Aspiration Point of the chart?

Our old friends, Uranus and Neptune, the New World Order duo...

Uran/Nep = MC: inner vision; guidance sought from never-before-tapped sources; a peculiar disposition and strange interests; unconsciousness (of reality? of practicality?); unawareness; mourning; dissolution; a nervous breakdown.

Yeah, May 1, 2003 was another day of grand imaginings and plans in Bush's bubble world.

So here we are at the 4th anniversary.

You may wish to remind yourself of who else wants a New World Order...it's John Paul II on Jan 1, 2004 representing the vatican...giving a globalist shout-out to his globalist buds...article link is in my post from Feb 2006 And Who Wants the NWO? The article's subtitle is darned catchy:

UN's failure to halt US war on Iraq leads to new initiative...does it, now?

That little theater presentation between Bush-Cheney and the UN leads to a NWO?? Puh! George must've kissed Rome's ring real sweet for that particular reach-around with the press in cahoots as usual.

And if you're willing you can revisit another SO'W post from Nov 2005 New World Order Oct 24, 1993 if you want to appreciate its baby horns and hooves...not that it wasn't in the works a long time before 1993--Family Planning!

And who can forget this oldy-but-not-so-moldy post from April 2006? Cheney and 911 which tells of mighty Dick's secondary progressed, and class warfare...chart set for 9/11/01.

Can't you hear them now?

George you go far away--down to Florida would be perfect--and be seen to be doing good...we'll round up some kids for you to read to...unaware and innocent-like...Mr. Unaware!

...kind of like the politicians and their ongoing Bible reading at the Capitol Building this week which culminates on Thursday, the National Day of Prayer.

Perhaps these political thespians will get to the part where Jesus cautioned about not praying in public, but going home, shutting the door and praying for your needs in private...think they'll get that far in their hypocritical charade?

Neither do I. But Pat Robertson is mighty proud of what they're doing...I heard him mention it on his tv show this morning. It's another Jupiter/Neptune set-up echoing from May 1, 2003!

things going well in Iraq

Bush Has Destroyed Iraq and America

By Paul Craig Roberts

The violence and killing that Bush brought to Iraq has spread antagonism between Sunni and Shiite throughout the Middle East with potentially draconian consequences. Bush's war has turned Muslim hearts and minds against America and made terrorism an acceptable means to resist American hegemony. With his mindless war, Bush has created more terrorism than the world has ever seen.

Sorry They've Been So Mean To You, George

The role that Tenet, McLaughlin and their small coterie of malleable managers played as willing accomplices in the corruption of intelligence has made a mockery of the verse chiseled into the marble at the entrance to CIA headquarters: "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Anonymous Whistleblower at your service

The emailing Anonymous Whistleblower has caused Mr. Wolfowitz (defending his actions today with his World Bank colleagues) much trouble, although as we all must admit, troubles are most often self-created.

Wolfie (my affectionate name for the geezer) has decried the charges against him as an attempt to oust him from his cushy post (duh!) and says he "will not resign in the face of a plainly bogus charge of conflict of interest."

Oh great--if the hydra wins, the heads will sprout even more viciously and it makes you wonder how such a contentious appointment can flourish after the rest of the cat-birders show their colors against Wolfie's undoubtedly autocratic, high-handed rule.

Yet..."smear campaign" he whines! Ethics Panel, you say? Puh...we'll see if they boot him in the end. And Wolfie should recognize a smear campaign when he sees one--he's a cohort of Karl Rove!

Bush, of course, came out with the usual reach-around for the incompetent...once again, it takes one to recognize one.

The Superb Perps Line-up: Brownie, Gonzo, Rummy, Condi, and now Wolfie...those are only the ones who come to a bloggled mind just now...except for Bushie himself.

And then there's Shot Gun Dickie who is a royal pri*k among pri*cks doing what he loves--the pillaging and looting without conscience which passes for governmental expertise in the Bush administration.

So I ask you: what Wolfie did for his girlfriend's bank account, portfolio, and prestige: isn't it similar to what Bush did for Condi? It's just the rarified pot giving the autocratic kettle a reach-around...wink!

Bush to Democrats: do not 'test my will' on Iraq 27 Apr 2007 Dictator George W. Bush Administration Will Not Assess Surge Results Until September --White House Scales Back Talk of Iraq Progress 28 Apr 2007 The Bush administration will not try to assess whether the troop increase in Iraq is producing signs of political progress or greater security until September, and many of Mr. Bush's top advisers now anticipate that any gains by then will be limited, according to senior administration officials. The timelines they are now discussing suggest that the White House may maintain the increased numbers of American troops in Iraq well into next year.

Iraqi Oil Min Warns Companies Against Deals Bypassing Central Govt 26 Apr 2007 Iraq's Oil Minister Hussein al-Shahristani Thursday warned international oil companies from signing oil contracts that bypass the federal government in Baghdad and the Oil Ministry, in a clear reference to deals signed by the Kurdistan Regional Government with a number of foreign firms. "Foreign companies shouldn't sign any contract that isn't through the federal government (in Baghdad) and the oil ministry," al-Shahristani said in a statement handed to reporters. "Any contract that is signed without the knowledge of the federal government is illegal," the minister said. "The ministry warns companies against violating the Iraqi laws and they would be responsible of such behavior," the minister said.#

Full Moon May 2 + the White House

On May 2, there is a Full Moon 11Sco38/11Tau38, and here you see my messy scribbles of the Full Moon around the chart for the White House (Oct 13, 1792; Sun-at-MC.)

To see a few White House chart details (sunrise) see my Feb 15th post here if you wish.

This Full Moon occurs at 6:09:22 am edt in Washington, DC, and is in the 1/7 house polarity which concerns Relationships. Mercury and Venus are in mutual reception and it's a Venus hour...and she's out-of-bounds to boot.

(Venus = relationships; values; money.)

As you know, a Full Moon is the culmination of something begun at the New Moon--and you may remember that Alberto Gonzales was due to testify on Capitol Hill about the politically-handled purge-surge the day of the last New Moon, April 17--but his testimony was postponed because of the tragedy at VA Tech the day before. (What AG actually accomplished concerning the tragedy is anyone's guess.)

Here I shall discuss some of the more pertinent factors in the Full Moon chart which include a very busy Uranus (the reformer; the rebel; the witness) in the middle of four midpoints:

Sun/MC ("the goal") = Uran: shifts of position; a 'restless spirit'; a revolutionary or a rebel; inner conflicts; sudden change of objective.

Mars/NN = Uran: active cooperation; sudden upsets that may affect many people; organizing activity.

Mercury/MC = Uran: formulating new objectives; throwing caution to the wind because of great confidence; nerve; directing thoughts suddenly to new channels; being impelled to sudden action; ambition; mental irritability.

Sun/Mercury = ASC: a critical attitude toward others; contact with young people, scientists, or businessmen.

ASC/MC ("ID awareness; higher self + lower self") = Ura: quickly responsive; adventurous; quick determination; a spoiling of one's plans.

Nebulous, elusive Neptune is at the Mars/MC ("ego-conscious action; change of status") midpoint:

Mars/MC = Nep: diffusion needs focus; creativity is off-the-mark; lack of power to succeed; making the wrong arrangements; failures.

As you know, I've touted the lonely, isolated Saturn-in-Leo quite a bit here on SO'W, and we see Saturn (authority; control) in Leo, sign of The Leader, as the apex planet in a FIXED T-square with the Full Moon--but first here's the midpoint picture:

Sun/Moon = Saturn: difficult concerns in relationship; addressing problems; increasing loneliness; inhibitions or depression; separation from the community or in relationships; renunciation; difficulties in relationship with the other sex.

Saturn as apex planet in a FIXED T-square:

This describes one who is rigidly organized, intensely purposeful, and is willfully unyielding to the nth degree. There's a compulsive drive to tightly control people, situations, and events.

He is one-pointed about preserving the structures he values and insists on completely overpowering and manipulating all matters under his authority--there's no sharing of the cat-bird seat with him. When challenged to surrender his indomitable will to carry out his orders, he experiences great internal conflict and is ruthless in how he calculates securing his power...the dictator.

Guess that covers the decider mentality of George Bush as well, doesn't it?

In fact this describes Bush's current "I'll VETO it" stance.

With Venus out-of-bounds and acting on her own (Monica Goodling? Condi Rice?) we see that Taurean (stubborn; intolerant; avaricious) Venus is the chart-ruler, and is in duplicitous Gemini--and is very near Bush's natal Uranus/NN conjunction. Uranus/NN relates to political groups advocating reforms. As a double sign, a Geminian Venus could relate to TWO women, and both ladies have subpoena issues with which to deal...and they both have the "goods" on Bush if they'll just spill the beans.

Uranus/NN = Venus: camaraderie is important. (But who knows where the bodies are buried is what I want to know.)

As you may already be aware, the tr Saturn/Pluto midpoint ("cruelty; violence; hard hard work; potential self-destruction") is now affecting Bush's natal IC (foundation of the chart; endings; the drain) which then affects natal MC (Aspirations; Career and Public Status) so we see that:

Saturn/Pluto = MC: desire to rise from difficult circumstances through the application of tenacity and endurance; severity; one-sidedness; major separaton as a last resort (Al G? Monica G? Condi R? Laura B?); an adept.

Opposite this picture is another: tr Venus/Neptune = Bush's natal MC:

losing oneself in illusions.

With Bush's power being based on the illusion of being elected with a "mandate from the people" (ahhh--good times, I remember it well!), his illusions of power and control are waffling in the wind he so adventurously threw caution into...and anything at MC is out there for all to see.

Now how does this Full Moon of May 2 relate to the natal chart of the White House itself?

Click to enlarge the double chart, if you will...

the Full Moon's MC (6:09:22 am edt, White House, May 2) is: 23Cap24, with the tr Pluto/Chiron midpoint now at 22Cap06...and you know that Pluto/Chiron = oppression; class warfare; racism; and in a word, plutocracy. MC = Aspirations...the WHY of any chart.

In the 1792 White House natal chart, Pluto/Chiron was positioned at 10Tau35--the Full Moon's Mercury = 10Tau46! Mercury = can we talk?

And we can winnow out a midpoint pic from the W-House n Saturn 29Ari20 with the Full Moon's Mercury and ASC...

Mercury/Saturn = ASC: backing off from responsibilities; being aloof; preoccupied with one's own thoughts and plans; isolation.

Does this sound like any White House you know?

White House's natal Mars 11Sag27 is conjunct the Pluto/Chiron conj of Dec 30, 1999 which is when I believe many of Karl Rove's and the Bush family's machinations were put in play to swipe the presidency by hook or crook (Rove has the hook and Bush is the crook? Or vice versa.)

And since parallels by declination make excellent timing devices--and may act as strong conjunctions--I have mentioned before that Pluto and Chiron were parallel one another in mid-August 2004. The conj of the the pair was at 11Sag23...conj the White House's natal Mars, as stated.

There was a New Moon on Aug 15, 2004 at 23Leo31...Leo, sign of Leadership and of Acting. The MC in this New Moon chart (set for the W-House) was 28Sag49, with asteroids Morya, Pandora, and Icarus upon it....and Vesta was rising with Hermes, the trickster (Rove) in tow. This New Moon occurred in Bush's natal 1st house of Self.

So Dec 30, 1999 and August 15, 2004 hook up with both presidential elections bwo of the abusive power of the Pluto/Chiron duo. Of course, there are those who say that America has always been a plutocracy, and I hardily agree.

But the founders didn't tend to use this power against the people the way our current crop of criminals are so fond of doing.

And it wouldn't surprise me if the great Pluto/Chiron planning sessions were held AT the White House (with Bill Clinton in attendance) in Dec of 1999 or early 2000, esp with the Great Jupiter/Saturn conj of May 28, 2000 about to occur...Rs + Ds giving each other major reach-arounds.

(You may have noticed I don't trust Rs OR Ds as far as I can throw them--and I'd like to throw them.) Jupiter = Republic-an Party, Saturn = Democrat-ic Party.

And a 'funny' thing about the Full Moon of May 2, 2007...tr Pluto 28Sag43 is conjunct Mercury in the Dec 30, 1999 chart when Pluto conjuncted Chiron...Mercury also 28Sag43!! Partile (exact)!

Pluto to Mercury = thoughts, plans, ideas become empowered and deepened...previous concepts and methods are altered and transformed...karmic links with young people (or scientists or businessmen)...demand for new perspectives...persuasion ability...propaganda.

The Sabian Symbol for "12Sag"--which is conj US natal ASC in the Sibly chart is:

"A flag that turns into an eagle that crows"...ADJUSTMENT:

pos: successful self-establishment through genuine self-expression;

neg/unconscious/shadow side: idle prejudices and unsubstantiated claims.

Like the unsubstantiated claims for invading Iraq?

Well there's much more I could say, but if you're like me, you're fed up with this stinky crew (we ALL need a break)...so you may wish to see my last post on the Group I joined this morning called Bushwacker Truth Brigade at Gather.com where you may find some articles of interest.

it's only 'Bush fatigue'

Got the sniffles? Feelin' achy? No worries!

Bush 41 told CNN's Larry King Monday night that "the electorate may be experiencing Bush fatigue."

More like a raging case of Epstein-Barr. Besides, an "electorate" implies that Bush 43 was actually elected and that our votes count! Well-played, H.W., well-played.

Bush 41 is not-so-subtley cluing us in that Jeb will be sitting out the 2008 election, and with the usual Bush aplomb predicts that Jeb may enter politics again in the future...a threat if there ever was one.

"I hope Jeb, who left office looking good, is not through with politics," he said, giving his other son a reach-around for the White House.

Apparently meetings have been held and their best bet is being waged...a different globalist name in between the Bush players has been decided upon and little Jeb must be patient.

Guess that means Bush 41 thinks Dubya has done such a superb job that Jeb deserves to be shoved into the White House as well. Puh.

The link below to CNN's article has become a Never Mind link--it seems to be MIA now...perhaps you can stomach the video instead at ThinkProgress.org or perhaps not.

Here's the missing link...good luck:

Vermont Senate says Impeach!

Today the Vermont Senate voted 16-9 (some stayed away from the chamber) to impeach Bush and Cheney.

Citing "serious questions about constitutionality, statutory legality, and abuse of the public trust" the measure was passed without debate.

Personally I'm fatigued with such debate and ask what many have asked before me--what does a criminal have to do to get impeached around here?

April 28th cometh...for all the fat lot o'good it will do, for even if impeached, this administration's lying, undermining snoots will still turn up regularly on my tv and computer screens and they will continue the dissolving of America.

Still, I'm more than ready for April 28th, are you?

Gonzo's reprieve

Yes, it figured that Gonzales would have a Tuesday reprieve but what a sad and miserable reason at VA Tech, and my condolences go out to them all on campus and to their families and friends.

One tries not to think of false flag operations at times like this, of course, but will Thursday be any better for Al G's appearance on Capitol Hill?

Perhaps.

Tuesday's closed-circuit Grand Trine between Jupiter, Saturn, and the Moon (which was not mentioned in my last post) will be "replaced" on Thursday by a
Grand Trine involving Jupiter, Saturn, and Mercury (communications; testifying, etc.)

Jup/Sat = Mercury: studying hard and asking the right questions (softballs?); desire to make changes; a fortunate separation.

Sigh...if George wants Gonzo to stay, he'll stay. Besides, Al must know where so many bodies are buried.

Apr 17: here come de judge

Tuesday, April 17 is more than just Tax Day, it's the day Gonzales is scheduled to speak to Congress.

His opening statement having been released Sunday, the players have plenty of time to rehearse their parts.

On Tuesday at 7:35:59 am edt (Cap Bldg) there is a New Moon 27Aries05.

You'll find the basics on the Sabian Symbol for "28 Aries" here by scrolling down to Robespierre's natal Moon in Aries--"I AM the people." The keyword for this degree is DISJUNCTION.

The Image for the bold, quick-thinking, crusading Sun Aries-Moon Aries combo is:

An invincible Hercules, propelled by primeval power, bursts into the dark castle, unties the fair maiden, and together they ride off into the sunset.

(I like the ride off into the sunset part.)

This jives with the Sun and Moon being benefically trined by Mr. Primeval Power himself, Pluto, now at 28Sag54 Rx...conj Fixed Star, Acumen, keywords: "enduring attacks which weaken."

The New Moon is perfected within 12th house of behind-the-door deals/meetings with Pluto trining New Moon from the 8th house of High Finances.

And illusive, deceptive Neptune is in 10th house so I would expect lots of spin of the spidery web variety (lost emails galore these days!)--and perhaps an element of self-sacrifice in the Career--esp since Fixed Star, Diadem is parallel (similar to a conjunction) the ASC at the moment of the New Moon.

There is a T-square formed and pointing to the ASC 19Tau29...from the ongoing Saturn-Neptune opposition, so we see:

Sat/Neptune = ASC: feeling confined; sense of being 'out of the group' (has Gonzo been jettisoned with Cheney's and Bush's "answer for yourself" buh-bye?); oppressive circumstances; limitation of freedom.

Of course, Saturn's realism mixed with Neptune's imagination and delusions give mixed results in the honesty department.

During the New Moon, Mercury 11Ari16, is unaspected--working on his own--and as we know, Gonzales has been rehearsing in a determined fashion for this performance.

Mercury (testify!) is conj tr Ceres, an asteroid which represents security issues in a mundane or national chart.

It's a contentious Mars hour...with Mars in deceived/deceiving Pisces ("9Pis": "A jockey spurs his horse." This is a Mars-opposite-Mars transit for Bush--the head-against-brickwall transit. Others don't cooperate as they should! Yet Bush never admits the adverse, and Gonzo will attempt to do same in his testimony.)

Quarrels (Mars) are indicated as well as a lack of self-control, diplaying unusual energy, upping the tempo, rash actions, ready-to-go, striving for power and control, and--although you don't need astrology charts to tell you this--

power games with important consequences.

Appointing judges at their will and whim--that's what they were ultimately up to, imho. And this naturally brings in the Evangelicals and Vaticaners with their priorities in the courts.

Perhaps "the judge" can fill us in on their so-named "murder boards" while he's at it--that'd make a nice side story to distract from White House involvement in pressuring US Attys...and interfering with justice.

Kurt Vonnegut 1922--2007

Novelist Kurt Vonnegut's fall two weeks ago in his Manhattan apartment resulted in brain injuries and he gave up the fight Wednesday, April 11.

In honor of a master I'm posting his natal chart the birth time of which is in question. But some transits aren't affected by birth time as long as the date is correct so I've marked Saturn outside the chart as The Old Man been visiting Vonnegut's natal Neptune of late. This is a difficult transit when you're 84 years old with its visions of The Grim Reaper and all.

Jupiter tends to be active at times of death and so we see Jupiter in first house along with Pluto. In a spree of blatant neglect, I did not write in the supposed planetary hour of his birth--a Jupiter hour, if born at 8:00 am CST (this looks like a rounded off time--once very commonly done.)

Custodians of Chaos is an excerpt from his memoir, Man Without A Country and is well worth a read if you haven't. It puts Bush and Cheney in their sorry places.

The Image for his natal Sun Sco/Moon Leo blend:

A Samaritan mirrors sunshine into the depth of a dark pit bringing hope to those who live there.
Puts me in mind of the slaughterhouse in Dresden and his use of his war experiences in writing Slaughterhouse Five.

This Sun/Moon blend is shared by poet Ezra Pound who said, "The difference between a gun and a tree...is a difference of tempo. The tree explodes every spring."

Your work, Mr. Vonnegut, is well done. RIP where guns can hurt no more.

I hear Rummy's at loose ends

Bush Seeks Overseer For Iraq, Afghanistan --3 Generals Spurn the Position of War 'Czar' 11 Apr 2007:

The White House wants to appoint a high-powered czar to oversee the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with authority to issue directions to the Pentagon, the State Department and other agencies, but it has had trouble finding anyone able and willing to take the job, according to people close to the situation. At least three retired four-star generals approached by the White House in recent weeks have declined to be considered for the position, the sources said.

LegitGov.org

Apparently George is tired of moving soldiers around the board.

Actually they're looking for a way to tamp down some measure of the criticism he's now getting so the war won't be interfered with and the agenda may proceed like a greased monkey instead of the constipated one George has on his back.

2007 Jefferson Muzzle Award a shoo-in!

Yes, congrats go out to George Bush for being recipient of a 2007 Jefferson Muzzle Award...and so richly deserved!

Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free Expression has an Archive List which can take you back to the Muzzles of 1999. But this year, George and his main crew are scorching and breaking records over at the Muzzles.

Shooing in Bush now for a Muzzie is a lot easier than wielding the industrial shoe horn that shoveled him into the back door of the White House in 2000-2001, with tossed eggs aflyin' and seemingly ignored.

Were they appropriately rotten? One may hope.

With Easter 2007, I have fondly reflected upon those limo-eggs as Mrs. Bush forced little children to laboriously spoon Eastery eggs across the manicured White House lawn while pretending that the memorable ghosts of those anti-Bush eggs of years past were not fresh as a daisy inside her pretty mind.

The People: the buck stops here

"Americans cannot escape a certain responsibility for what is done in our name around the world. In a democracy, even one as corrupted as ours, ultimate authority rests with the people. We empower the government with our votes, finance it with our taxes, bolster it with our silent acquiescence. If we are passive in the face of America's official actions overseas, we in effect endorse them." Mark Hertzgaard

We've fallen down on our oversight duties the last several years, haven't we?

We've been coup'd because of our inattentions. We need to correct past mistakes with clear statements and by taking direct action. Shadows must be faced in order to fight the many dragons we face yet the inner dragon is the most voracious of all.

Take one version of the U.S. natal chart--Sibly (5:10 pm lmt), the Scorpio Rising chart, Cornwallis' Surrender to Washington, Jefferson's supposed chart, all for July 4, 1776 (with the exception of the Cornwallis' Surrender chart) and read each placement for its Illumination Point--the opposite degree of the natal position.
Perhaps it's a tiny peek at the inner dragon of the American ego (Sun.)

Ex: US natal Sun "14 Cancer" as it's usually considered in the Sabian Symbols...read "14 Capricorn" for the nation's Essence, True Purpose, and the Ego drive to be important--the Sun (using the "rounding up" method of determination.)

(These Symbols also apply to George Bush's natal Sun (July 6, 1946.)

My preference: to use the one that applies in a fundamental way yet remembering that all is process--the degree before and the degree after (in this case, "13 Can/Cap" --"15 Can/Cap" would be what has just passed "14Can/Cap" and what is upcoming--in an evolutionary sense--is the next degree.)

Here's a personal example from my own Secondary Progressed chart: in the mundane world, I was given the opportunity to move professional locations to a business named, ReVive--when my Sec MC (Career) progressed to "10 Leo": "Early morning dew"...Keyword: REJUVENATION.

Rather descriptive.

So here's the Symbol for "14Cap" from Dr.Marc Edmund Jones' The Sabian Symbols in Astrology:

"An ancient bas-relief carved in granite"...FOUNDATION:

pos: a gift for bringing all things in to a pattern of convenience;

neg/shadow side: meaningless limitation.

Or would you prefer "13Cap"?

"A fire worshiper"...MAGIC:

pos: extraordinary skill in enlisting every resource of the world for the exaltation of self and the consummation of its ambitions;

neg: consistent overestimation of personal capacity.

Somehow "13Cap" sounds more like that Bush fellow. But how about America?

"The Secret" and the Minor Progressed Chart

According to the best-seller, The Secret, the Secret of Life is the law of attraction.

Astrologically we think of the planet Venus which describes what we attract and what we are attracted to. We may also think of jolly, expansive Jupiter, the generous side of God, Who wants us to experience the abundance of the universe, if we'll only accept it.

Yet as I read a summary of the principles from the book, it's like reading about Minor Progressions, the mental-causal plane info which may be gleaned concerning thoughts which are trying to bubble up from the Unconscious into consciousness and which create the future reality found eventually in the Secondary Progressions (physical plane.)

In The Secret, we discover that when you think a thought, you are attracting like thoughts to you. Thoughts are "magnetic" and have a frequency as your thoughts are sent out into the universe and magnetically attract all like things on the same frequency...frequency being an astrological term also.

Our solar system was created by sound waves (frequency--The Word) and which may be studied by way of Harmonics charts (one of my personal favorite branches of Astrology, btw.)

This reciprocity might be a point in favor of the validity of Astrology itself!

So if you want different things in your life, think different thoughts, says the book. (Doesn't this favor the classic, The Power of Positive Thinking, by Norman Vincent Peale?)

According to The Secret, your current thoughts are creating your future life...exactly what the Minor chart tells us. We have a thought, we have a feeling or intuition about the thought, then we act if we so choose. Your thoughts become things, says The Secret...prexactly and excisely!

Read my interview on Minor/Tertiary/Secondary charts, Political Astrology, and the 2007 Jupiter/Uranus square at Astrology Communications Media in the Season's Quarterly section for more info on Minor Progressions.

The Secret also asserts that what you think about the most or focus on the most will appear in your life. (As a man thinks, so he becomes--The Bible.)

Well, I'm glad so many people are reading this book, rehashed though I may perceive it to be, for we certainly need reminders of positive things these days, don't we?

As long as no one lets Bush, Cheney, Bush Sr, Kristol, and the rest of the 1% gang read it--they suffer from too much Jupiterian "positive" thinking already--much to the whole world's dismay with the negative consequences of their misdirected, ego-laden thinking.
