"If You're Not at the Table--" - Randi Rhodes

March 22, 2021:

This Monday morning post is a complete shout-out to the excellent progressive broadcasting of Randi Rhodes and if you've managed to miss the following segment of March 18, 2021 here is:

Jim Crow in a New Suit 3-18-21

As the lady says, "If you're not at the table you're on the menu." - Randi Rhodes

So Who Was Jim Crow?

And who is Randi Rhodes?

Born Randi Joyce Beuten on January 28, 1959 in Brooklyn, NY with natal Sun in early (progressive!) Aquarius, her natal Moon sign is either Virgo or Libra (ranging from 20Vir43 to 4Lib43). During the 24-hour period of her day of birth, orating Mercury the Messenger ranged from 26Cap05 to 27Cap40. With her commentary stingingly critical of politicians, I'll guess that hard working Randi's natal Moon could very well be in Mercury-ruled Virgo, sign of The Critic. Both Sun-Moon personality blends are cited, below.

And as you see, transit Pluto in late Capricorn is now upon her natal Mercury, a major transit that she and I are sharing (more intense self-expression, increased ability to recognize hidden meanings and motivations, etc). In her broadcasts Randi Rhodes often says outloud what I'm thinking!

Now let's mention two important oppositions in her natal chart (no birth time needed for these). The closest applying aspect to natal Sun is an opposition from progressive, futuristic Uranus Rx in Leo. This opposition is a marker for restlessness and independence, and identifies Randi Rhodes as a revolutionary. Unusual experiences are also part of her Sun-Uranus picture, and for obvious reasons, contact from Uranus increases the progressive, even quirky implications and brilliance of her Sun in Aquarius goals and personality traits.

Also notable is a second opposition between Mars in Taurus and Jupiter in Scorpio suggesting conflicts in the realms of religion, philosophy, and/or social and political matters. Financial conflicts may also be indicated (Taurus-Scorpio). That the planets are opposing one another helps bring these conflicts into public view and provides her with the objectivity needed to resolve conflicts due to having a wider perspective on the issues.

Randi Rhodes broadcasts weekdays from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm ET through various outlets including YouTube so perhaps if you haven't, you'll tune in for the wider perspectives that Randi very clearly expresses. You won't be disappointed!

Two Possible Personality Blends for Randi Rhodes:

Air-Earth Sun AQ-Moon Virgo is a devoted researcher with an excellent mind and instinctive reactions to the environment. Kind-hearted and sincere, this blend is a gregarious loner who tends toward eccentricity yet is practical and altrusitic. Devoted to her ideals, critical analysis is a talent.

Double Air Sun AQ-Moon Libra is a highly idealistic, charming lover of truth, and an ideas person with a lively, far-reaching intellect. Humanitarian, reasonable, and broad-minded, this blend suggests dignity, tolerance, and sociability, however it is not very practical and may appear unapproachable, cerebral, and fickle while exhibiting social awareness and concern which promotes a brighter outlook for humanity.

Tell Scott Walker: America founded as a Union!

January 17, 2012 8:15 pm est near Athens, Georgia

The following words are posted here using my own italics and BOLD in order to make the point of this particular entry for I am lazy--actually, just busy with a major undertaking that now demands my close attention. Even so, my prayers remain with our America this night and I believe that we may benefit by exalting our traditional Spirit of Endeavor within us against challenges from those who work as you read to undermine our sovereign nation:

....................................PREAMBLE.........................................

"We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

View a linked and searchable U.S. Constitution (1791 -- ) while we still have it, tattered by enemies from without and within as it may be.

At least outer enemies are usually easier to identify as what they really are, aren't they?

~:~

If you're game, here's a brief astro-peek at James Madison, known as the Architect of the US Constitution.

And speaking of unions, I wonder how Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's recall count is going for the anti-unionist? You might also mention the Concept of Perpetual Union just to get his goat.

Keith Olbermann on Labor Unions in America (video) current tv

The birth of the Labor Movement in America is marked indelibly by a horrendous and sad event: the Haymarket Fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory, Manhattan NY 1911 when many people jumped to their deaths on the pavements of New York City, many of them with clothes and hair flaming. Most were young people, the majority of them young ladies. Immigrants were prominent in number though not prominent in the least by social or financial status.

If it sounds familiar, perhaps it was meant to...

The Tower card ~16~

As with the attacks of 9/11/01, the horrible scene in 1911 echoes and is echoed archetypally by The Tower card in the Tarot deck and you know the image: disaster has struck and old, false values suddenly lose their justification and persuasion; people jump from the only windows they can find as terror and chaos are set loose.

Cold reality must be faced even if grim - but as our unbalanced world demands, the coldness is most often faced by some much more deeply and harmfully than by others.

The Tower (like the Tower of Babel, mankind's first attempt at establishing Corporatism - and even a New World Order) is, like the Egyptian-looking symbolism on US money, based on a pyramid of power, so Ponzi-esque by form and function that seeds of its future collapse are ingrained in its DNA, at its very beginning or core. Of course by natural law we earthlings understand that everything that has a beginning has an ending in this dualistic world of temporary maya (illusion.)

And with this, the system or language of Astrology agrees. (Ex: nothing can transpire in transits or progressions without its first being promised in the natal horoscope - at birth; the realm and scale of events and our reactions to them may be molded or amended by conscious choice; aka, free will.)

Obsessed and Compulsed in The City

An obsessive drive toward Success makes necessary that a detached few at the tip top (capstone) secluded upon The Mountain (Pinnacle of Success) contend with hordes of oppressed masses discarded at bottom who are the serfs and pawns scattered across the globe. The masses (Neptune) are aka, The Collective; or, Modern Humanity. Or they are more rightly called, you and me. The select few power elite are of the clan of man, too, though they like to pretend otherwise with their daintily pretty minds a la Barbara Bush.

Yet no human being exists outside the law of karma: we reap what we sow. Though they won't be, the elites should be worried about fate considering the anti-social, psychopathic trash they put out upon the earthly plane, so much of it based on lies and innuendo.

Keith Olbermann on Video March 2011

As Mr. Olbermann reminds us in this March 2011 speech delivered to his alma mater Cornell University, the 168 victims in NYC did not actually die from the fire but from a major barrier put in place by management.

They died because the factory doors were chained shut to keep out
labor union organizers who'd been coming around, wanting to improve working conditions that bordered on barbarism (the province of Pluto/Chiron's plutocracy, imperialism, corporatism, primal violence, etc.) Some would say conditions set by factory owners left the realm of gentility long before and I must suppose that this is true. Many of the women who died in the Haymarket Fire had been part of protests recently mounted which won the approval of much of the public.

The street protesters showed - and publicized - the factory owners in a bad light. So before too long, the workers and their dreams hit the very same NY pavements in a very different way. And not to rise or protest ever again.

A determined rush toward wealth and power seems indicated on the part of the manufacturing class as revealed in this criminally inspired sabotage and mass murder. The one who lit the match seems never to have been publicly identified though a cigarette circle taking a break upstairs has been mentioned. An owner may have been part of the match-or-cig-tossing group, one who could easily have calculated the risks before committing arson.

Did they think or assume arrogantly that the factory's locked doors would remain shrouded, an unknown bit of evidence during the trial? (I'd be interested in scanning over a transcript for I have questions.)

In spite of, or because of, the Progressive Movement in the first decade of the 1900s producing social improvements (after conditions had been really neglected for decades with workers treated little better than animals), such actions as setting a convenient fire to ruin one's business establishment (possibly for insurance pay-outs) is not as far-fetched as we'd prefer it to appear.

Click if you wish to read my consideration of the horoscope of the Triangle Factory Fire of March 25, 1911 (chart not shown.)

And yes, there is a major correlation - a resonance - between the 1911 fire and the chart of WTC 9/11/01. We already know that the location is basically the same (Manhattan) so reviewing the natal chart for Manhattan (Feb 12, 1653 12:00 pm LMT Manhattan NY); ASC 15Gem28 with Pluto 12Gem05 Rx rising; 8th cusp 7Cap00, the spot in the Zodiac where wealthy saboteur Pluto now lurks, poised before entering the 8th house of Shared Resources, Big Business, and Corporatism.

Bascially, I'd say that in 1911, profit margins were king and social climbing was Queen. The TRiangle Factory Fire happened 100 years ago and its affects still echo through the decades to our ears now highly sensitized by the events of 9/11.

And when we subtract 1911 (Haymarket Fire) and from 9/11's 2001, we find that the two events occurred 90 years apart which represents a square aspect (1 year = 1 degree; 90 x 4 = 360 degrees of the Zodiac-circle.) Squares = obstacles and blockages, associated with the numbers 4, 8, 16, 32, etc, and relates to the physical plane (The Cross of Matter); the psychological and intuitional planes are also involved due to life's complexities expressed on various levels of existence.

So both events share a theme in common: removing obstacles and blockages by force so that a way ahead is cleared for a new beginning. Just like new growth that sprouts after the dust clears from the ruins of The Tower.

Here's a link where you can watch the video or read the transcript of Keith Olbermann speaking in March 2011 at Cornell University (part 2 of 3): America and labor..., or simply hang out at Stars Over Washington long enough to watch Part 2 of Keith's remarks right here if the video ever displays properly. Which at the moment it is not doing but I'll leave the code here until tomorrow, just in case:

Countdown with Keith Olbermann begins broadcasting anew on Current TV on Monday June 20, 2011 at 8:00 pm edt. Consult your TV listings for further information.

Hurrah, Wisconsin!

19 Counties Flip To Democrats In Wisconsin Supreme Court Race

Significantly, 19 counties that went for Walker in the 2010 elections this time flipped and went for Kloppenburg, including LaCrosse (59 percent), Sauk (56 percent) and Dunn (56 percent).

Nearly 1.5 million people turned out to vote, representing 33.5 percent of voting-age adults -- 68 percent higher than the 20 percent turnout officials had expected.

Shock Doctrine Politicians = America Going Nowhere

An Austere GOP Hearts the Ruining of America

by Jude Cowell

If you're anything like me, you're having some difficulty keeping current your Shock Doctrine Politicians scorecard, so you may benefit from a list with their names, birth data, and a few of their astrological details. And of course, the shock in 'Shock Doctrine' implicates the planet of disruption, upheaval, lightening, and chaos: Uranus.

The doctrine is doctrinaire Saturn now in an obsessive-compulsive (sound like any one-pointed GOPers you know?) aspect with revolutionary Uranus, an asepct known as a quindecile (165 degrees.) This is the 'disrupt governing systems, break rules through defiance of law and order, and feel driven to break old, outdated concepts through innovation' combo. (The Quindecile, Ricki Reeves.)

Excerpt from above linked article: Members of Congress are doing damage to the country with their pursuit of deficit reduction in the middle of the worst downturn in 70 years. This push for deficit reduction does harm to the economy and costs more jobs than 1,000 Bridges to Nowhere.

And USA Reality Check has the Twitter feed of Wisconsin's AFL-CIO, plus, economist Paul Krugman's recent article American Thought Police.

Then we have The 8 Worst Governors in America and the crazy-making, future-destroying way they're doing things with their self-imagined mandate. Making President Obama look bad has to be one of their basic motives so we may be lead to assume that if the GOP grabs the White House in 2012, the Republican (corporate) largesse will begin flowing like golden doubloons and the American people will soon have more jobs and paychecks than we can handle (puh! The Republicans are acting coldhearted toward our families and it's 'worth it' to them as long as Barack Obama "fails".)

Ah, George Orwell, the Prophet!

His birth during a Balsamic phase of the Moon (just prior to a New Moon and thus during the mystical darkness when things go bump in the night) supports what the GOP and its handmaiden the Tea Party are busy fulfilling before our very eyes: Orwell's vision of the world's social and political future of totalitarian control and austere, extreme deprivation for the masses with population decrease the expected and planned result.

But you know that some pigs are just more equal!

Horoscope: Haymarket Riot 1886 = business v workers

Business Class v Working Class 1886: Seeds of 2011?

by Jude Cowell

With its 125th anniversary just passed, the Haymarket Riot (aka, the Haymarket Massacre) of May 4, 1886 in Haymarket Square, Chicago, Illinois shows an interesting natal horoscope which heralds today's business/government v workers/labor unions stand-offs in Wisconsin and elsewhere.

Beginning as a general strike on May 1 (the 110th anniversary date of Adam Weishaupt's formation of the Bavarian Society of the Illuminati on May 1, 1776), events escalated into the Chicago rally which exploded into violence when a pipe bomb was thrown at the police as they dispersed the crowd after the last orator spoke (around 10:30 pm.) The bomb was thrown by an "unknown person" as the above linked Wiki profile states, and controversy remains as to the proceedings and capabilities.

A prime theory is that this "unknown person" was an instigator not of the working class attending the rally, but was a government, special interest, and/or rival group's operative (8th house Mars in Virgo) tasked to turn the peaceful rally into a win for the business community which was not enthused by the rally's purpose: to educate the people on the merits of instituting an 8-hour work day in the US.

Of the anarchists arrested, one was a Knight of the Knights of Labor, a rival organization of the group staging the rally, the American Federation of Labor (AFL) - although the Knights of Labor allegedly were for the 8-hour work day as well. Perhaps rivalry for members was part of a subversion tactic (the bomb) with the Knights' membership peaking in 1886 but plunging after the Haymarket Riot and subsequent trials, convictions, and executions.

Considering the Knights' Roman Catholic trappings, it's illuminating that the Sabian Symbol of the 29th crisis degree rising at 10:30 pm that night, '30Sag' = "The Pope Blessing the Faithful." For doing what, I wonder? This indicates Jupiter 26Vir32 Rx in 9th H as chart-ruler; ten seconds later, 00Cap00 arose nominating Saturn 4Can49 in 7th H of Partnerships as chart-ruler. Saturn is, of course, amidst US natal planets, Venus and Jupiter, with US n Sun nearby; outside the horoscope, I've penned in America's natal planets (highlighted in lavender.)

Jupiter's position shows that a recent transit by conjunction has occurred to US natal Neptune 22Vir25, a time of inspired ideas, actions, and enhanced imagination, yet it can ramp up fanaticism and paranoia; promotions of a cause, scandals, and bankruptcies may also be on the speculative Jupiter/Neptune menu. And this is happening near US natal Mc (00Lib53) with its outlet for the energy falling in the Career-Public Status department of the US chart.

Here are Saturn to US n Venus and US n Jupiter transits in progress. Saturn to n Venus sobers up the environment and shows how self-serving social gestures can be; creating more structure within relationships is the best way to use this energy toward greater stability and commitment (such as joining a union?)

Saturn to US n Jupiter is a time when economic growth is restricted and attitudes become more serious; for those who've gained wealth, it's time to be more philanthropic - to give back some of what has been given. (It's that time again in 2011 but over the years our legal system has successfully been eroded so that major financial titans and fraudsters are protected from facing their crimes rather than tried and convicted, and tax laws favor the rich; the current stand-offs with labor unions represent the rich class dunning the lower incomers with "austerity" measures while the wealthy themselves receive more tax breaks which only widens the income inequality gap even further. Yes, the fox has always guarded the US henhouse, but now he's foreclosed and put the chickens on the curb.

The US President at the time of the Haymarket Riot was Grover Cleveland, the only American president to serve two non-consecutive terms in the White House (March 4, 1885 and March 4, 1893, with Benjamin Harrison in between - inaugurated March 4, 1889.)

Following is an image of the Haymarket Riot's horoscope set for Chicago, IL on May 4, 1886 at 10:30 pm cst.

You'll note the Robber Baron duo of Neptune and Pluto snugged around the Moon (the people) and the midpoint of the plutocratic, primally violent, corporatist, and disenfranchising Pluto/Chiron pair conjoined with US natal Uranus 8Gem55 in the 6th H of Work, Service, and Health. Neptune and the Moon stimulate two difficult Fixed Stars, Algol and Capulus, stars of rage and violence.

Sun 14Tau35 actually conjoins the degree which now rises (ASC) at noon for US presidential inaugurations every four years though it didn't in 1886 since the ASC change for the Oath of Office (and thus, for whoever is about to act as president) occurred between FDR's 1933 and 1937 inaugurations - from early March to January 20 or 21st, if the 20th falls on a Sunday.

Please click to enlarge the horoscope and to read a few more notes on the conditions at the time of the bomb toss which triggered the Haymarket Riot. Your on-topic comments and opinions are always welcome.

Phase: New Moon 12:55 with Sygyzy Moon occurring the day before; Jupiter as chart-ruler applies to an Earthy trine with Neptune (1A41) indicating an ability to see restored order where others fear utter chaos, and social programs underway for developing productive potentials for the poor and working class.

With Saturn as chart-ruler, the separating (waning) square with rebel Uranus (0S41) shows a time of problems with authority figures and a need to break from the past in order to progress. The Saturn/Uranus cycle lasts approximately 45 years and we have been in the cycle's opposition stage lately though now the pair of brittleness are in a quindecile (165 degrees of obsession-compulsion) aspect indicating a drive to disrupt governing systems, break outdated concepts, and defy law and order. (Reeves.)

In 1886, the midpoint of Mars/Uranus, a riotous and explosive combination of energies, is 'masked' by US natal Neptune 22Vir25, in the sign of The Worker.

Tr Mars/Uranus = n Neptune: cunning and deceit; a low and mean way of acting; a desire to harm others; a person with bad intentions; rage and frenzy.

The 'rage and frenzy' came only after the bomb was lobbed at police for the rally was peaceful until then - typical of a set up with a planted instigator in the crowd acting to cause disrepute to the rally's cause.

Even Wisconsin's Gov. Scott Walker, during his bogus 'talk' with financial patron "David Koch" on the phone, admitted to the fake Koch that he had considered the time-worn political tactic of planting "troublemakers" in the crowd (in order disrupt proceedings and undermine the opposition.)

From 1886 to 2011, these political radicals and outlaws are so very very tiresome, aren't they?

Now let's close with the two Images for Integration for the double Earth Sun Taurus-Moon Taurus blend which is shared natally by none other than Karl Marx:

'A loving teacher resolves an angry dispute...A successful baker is surrounded by delighted children eating fresh bread rolls.' (Sun Sign-Moon Sign, Charles & Suzy Harvey.)

And how about a famous quote from Marx since 'socialism' is such a commonly leveled charge these days and has been historically so whenever the rich fear losing a dime or two to the needy...

"From each according to his ability, to each according to his need."

Marx was so full of it, y'know?
