Wednesday July 21, 2021: If the former guy can be believed (!#!): Flight Risk to Run for POTUS in 2024! And if his wealthy enablers and white "supremacist" voters have their regressive way, he'll win by hook or crook, which is the only way a Republican can win these days with the general population due to the GOP's rubbish policies that harm We The People and delete millions of American voters from participation in US elections (as Rs intend).

Now you realize these remarks are being typed by a common-good American citizen, yes? So if this common-good post ruffles your political feathers, you must be reading in the wrong place! A quick skedaddling is very much recommended.

Agreed, this is not a jolly list of topics at all but reality must be faced, else we're behaving just as fantacist Tr*mp living inside his dream world where the rest of us are merely pawns in his game and screens upon which to project himself.

Republican McCarthy Announces his Select Committee Picks

Tuesday July 20, 2021: Yesterday House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy's picks for the Select Committee hearing detailed as Republicans Jim Banks (IN), Jim "You f-- did this" Jordan (OH), former local sheriff Troy Nehls (TX), Kelly Armstrong (ND), and Rodney Davis (IL). Of these, only Reps Armstrong and Davis voted to certify the Electoral College votes on January 6th as was their duty. (Which doesn't necessarily mean that they weren't all onboard or complicit with the former guy's 1/6 coup attempt.)

As previously noted here on Stars Over Washington, the first hearing of the Select Committee (one of those 'Jim Jordan clown shows'? Banks hopes to deflect as much blame as possible onto the Democrats!) is scheduled for Tuesday July 27th 9:30 am edt. Here's a bi-wheel of the 9:30 am edt hearing for those readers with cosmic concerns. The July 27th chart is snugged around a horoscope of the 1/6 'Trump Mob Attack'.

And with the hearing's Pisces Moon conjunct 1/6's Neptune (a planetary combo I've noticed turning up in various charts relating to the Republican Party in recent years), the hearing may spotlight the difficulty in 'separating fiction from reality' which is a common theme today, as you know, that's often exploited by bad faith politicians and their enablers. 'Delusions about the level of popular support for policies' is another potential of Moon-Neptune and although I personally would ascribe this tendency to the fascist-leaning Republicans and their learless feader, a Moon-Neptune influence is more general than specific and lends an unconscious quality of illusion and delusion to the proceedings, so perhaps some information will rise up from The Collective Unconscious. Yet the duo also can indicate "leadership which heeds the opinions and emotional climate of its constituents" (M. Munkasey) so it will be interesting to see if its dreamy influence shows up on July 27th to vanquish or at least muddy every spotlight on fact and truth that may be cast upon regressive Republican radicals and secessionsists.

A Cosmic Event in 2024 plus a Presidential Election!

6 South, 8 North, 8 South Eclipses: 'Cosmic Blinks' and Universal 'Wild Cards'

By now most all have heard that another Total "Great American Eclipse" is due on April 8, 2024 (@19Ari24), an even longer-lasting Total Solar Eclipse than the one that occurred on August 21, 2017 in the 1 North Saros Series @29Leo - a critical 29th degree conjunct royal Regulus and the Ascendant and Mars rising of 'comrade' Trump. So you see, the Election isn't the only significant 2024 event in America, one being earthly, the other cosmic - in fact, a Universal 'wild card' as they're known because eclipses often disrupt and change directions of earthly events much as erratic planet Uranus can do. And as you know, such energies are most potent when a total eclipse occurs especially in the Path of Totality.

Q: Will a 'cosmic link' from the 8 North cosmic blink of an eclipse form? Read on!

Note: for practical details on where and how the April 2024 Path of Totality will rush across the country from Southwest to Northeast, one resource is the WordPress blog National Eclipse. The 2024 eclipse will enter the US from Mexico into Texas, swipe across several major cities (more cities than 1 North in 2017), and leave the US from the state of Maine. The longest duration of totality will be 4m 28S compared with 2m 40s in 2017 and will occur in Mexico.

Of historic interest, the last 4-minute Total Eclipse to occur over our present-day contiguous states was over 200 years ago on June 16, 1806 @24Gem44 so this one in 2024 will be a big deal and well attended unless the unpredictable, frosty weather of early April interferes, especially in the Northern states and over various lakes such as Lakes Erie and Ontario. Crazily, the eclipse's 24Gem44 position conjuncts that of Trump's June 16, 2015 'Prez Bid' New Moon ('25Gemini' = "A Man Trimming Palms.") Who can forget his escalator descent that morning and the bigoted rhetoric delivered to a paid-to-attend audience and, of course, to TV cameras? Therefore, this creates a cosmic link - by degree. Plus you know that if potent enough, New Moons can behave similarly to solar eclipses.

6 South Eclipse Themes Affected Events of 1806

Now the 1806 eclipse is aka, Tecumseh's Eclipse and fell into the 6 South Saros Series. I believe its themes resonate with Shawnee Chief Tecumseh's travails and conflicts with the ever-increasing number of European settlers with 6 South's themes of: 'manic energy; being forceful, taking power; sudden events; great strength or force in relationships; huge efforts in group activities' (paraphrasing Predictive Astrology, B. Brady; #ad).

However, we should note that the The Great American Eclipse of 2024 falls into the 8 North Saros Series with themes of 'flashes of genius; vivid dreams' but it is not the Prenatal Eclipse of Election Day 2024. That honor belongs to the 8 South Eclipse of October 2, 2024 @10Libra03 with its difficult themes of 'separation; partings; loss; completion; over-strain with a potential for physical injury' (Brady). You may remember that the last 8 South occurred on September 22, 2006 @29Virgo during the wrong-headed Bush-Cheney neocon regime. Check out historical events of 2006 for more information.

Prior to The Great American Eclipse of 2024 Other Eclipses Will Manifest

So as we've previously discussed on SO'W, a Solar Eclipse in the 6 South Saros Series will manifest soon on October 25, 2022 @2Scorpio (DC Horoscope shown) and had done so multiple times before since the initial eclipse of March 6, 1049 @21Pis55. And notably, a 6 South eclipse manifested prominently as what I call the Nazis Rise to Power Eclipse on August 31, 1932 @8Vir09.

And here in closing is the question: Will a Herr Trump candidacy and 'presidency' 'eclipse' America once again in 2024 as he did in 2017 with "MAGA" madness (aka, white supremacy) or some other political slogan intended to deceive? Well, that would create an unfortunate cosmic link from the 2024 8 North Eclipse to the next presidential election, wouldn't it?

Horoscopes: July 27 First 1/6 Hearing with Mob Attack

Below is a bi-wheel with the January 6, 2021 'Trump Mob Attack' Horoscope (set for 1:00 pm est) in center (ASC 15Tau54) surrounded by the 9:30 am edt Horoscope of what apparently is scheduled as the First Hearing of the Select Committee to investigate the 1/6 Mob Attack upon the US Congress and Capitol Building in a coup attempt to "stop the steal," as Tr*mp has called what became his fondest dream. As you know, the orange instigator really enjoyed watching the mayhem on TV in real time, as Leonigg and Rucker are reporting in their new book, I Alone Can Fix It. #ad

Meanwhile, at the top of the horoscopes below are listed two of the primary ongoing planetary influences that undergird current events: transit Neptune in Pisces opposing US natal Neptune in Virgo with its 'persecution' implications (racial and religious), and the touchy, even violent Saturn-Uranus square timing a period when established laws are challenged and authority is resisted by the more rebellious types among the population.

Now as you see, a decided Mercury-Pluto (surveillance; intense communications) influence was in effect near the 1/6 Goal Point ('MC') along with Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius in January. But since then, Jupiter has moved into Pisces, turned Rx, and with his great financial, political, and religious bulk, is opposing off and on the natal Mars of Herr Tr*mp, a total of three times all through 2021 with exact oppositions on April 20th, August 23rd, and December 10th. And with planet Mars (his @26Leo46 conjunct natal Ascendant and royal star Regulus) being the planet of energy, action, and motivation, having expansive Jupiter, planet of good fortune, opposing 'Mr. Testosterone' denotes a frustrating period of potentials for others to block his objectives, for legal actions to prevent or interfere with his plans, for his perspective to be way overblown (as usual!), for his success to be threatened and for him to threaten others, and for his current dreams and plans to collapse under their own weight.

As for the July 27th First Hearing Horoscope, testifying Mercury is chart-ruler (ASC 14Vir37: highlighted in green, 5th house of Risk-Taking) and also rules the Midheaven ('MC': The Goal) @12Gem24 conjunct transit Midas (in 1st house - is this Tr*mp?). However, Mercury makes no applying apsects in the Hearing chart so I'm not expecting much of an outcome but of course, this is only the first hearing to give police officers a chance to testify on what they experienced that shame-filled day.

Also affecting direction is the Nodal Axis which conjuncts Aldebaran ('success through integrity') with warring Antares at the separative South Node. As you see, the North Node in January pointed toward the June 10, 2021 Solar Eclipse (@19Gem47) in the 5 North Saros Series with its themes of 'visions, prophetic dreams, hunches, and insights from the Unconscious' (B. Brady). As I mentioned, Tr*mp's fondest dream - is to grasp the reins of power and control once again.

Well, we know that the former guy is certainly prone to visions and lives in a fantasy world (with the support of his Mercury-Neptune square) so my guess is that 5 North themes have only added fuel to his tendency for not dealing with the reality of losing the 2020 Election.

July 23, 2021 brings the Biden Presidency's first un-birthday!

July 14, 2021: On May 31, 2021 a post with dual DC Horoscopes was published here as DC Horoscopes: July 2021 Lunations showing the just-past New Moon of July 9th (18Can01) and the upcoming Full Moon of Friday July 23rd @00Leo26 which perfects at 10:36:45 pm edt.

Well! As the Cosmos would have it, July 23rd at 7:54:45 am edt happens to be the precise "un-birthday" moment of President Biden's Inauguration, aka, his Oath of Office taken on January 20, 2021. We all have them 6 months after our birthdays and if we apply its symbolic meaning to the Biden presidency we find that it times a brief period, perhaps only for a day, when one's course for the year should be reassessed and changes of direction made if necessary. Obviously, this 6-month period lasts until approximately January 20, 2022 - or actually until the exact moment of his presidency's Solar Return 2022.

So it may be interesting to see if around July 23rd and perhaps until the rest of July, any hint of such resconsideration or review is mentioned publicly by the President or by anyone in his administration such as Jen Psaki. Of course, they could prefer to keep such deliberations secret!

So astrologers may wish, if they haven't, to set up the July 23, 2021 un-birthday chart to use as a transit chart for commparison with the Inauguration 2021 Horoscope. If so, please feel free to let me know what you find by leaving an on-topic comment with this post. Thanks! jc

Flight Risk to Run for POTUS in 2024!

Tuesday July 13, 2021: If you've watched, heard, or read any of the news concerning CPAC 2021 in Dallas Texas, you know that Tr*mp did appear as expected and spoke for a very long time in his disjointed crazy-quilt fashion much to the delight of his die-hard fans in the audience. Apparently, for the audience it was a satisfying helping of their favorite rants 'n' chants and most, if not all, were (are) in on the joke - that their idol's 'Big Lie' of a stolen election - allegedly with 'fraud' by Democrats as the only reason former guy could have possibly lost the November 2020 election - will catapult him back into a white (supremacist) White House. For this delusion and its trick to work one must ignore the fact that a majority of voters in November 2020 did not want the grudge holding white-supremacist-slash-fascist back at the helm for another four years along with the further damage he could perpetrate upon our society. The blighter!

Mass Complicity!

For all the Tr*mp-ish actors secretly agree that his Goebbels-inspired 'Big Lie' is a mass-produced mystery play that he and his supporters are engaged in like one big happy neo-nazi family, whether consciously or unconsciously. My suspicion is that a percentage of his supporters think his desperation is all about regrasping authoritarian power and control so that they can "own the libs" they've been propagandized to hate, and thereby conquer their favorite wedge issues such as repealing Roe v Wade.

And yet a majority of Americans (liberal and otherwise) know that Tr*mp wants to scramble back to the Oval office with its legal protections so that he can avoid prosecution! Oh, and 'winning' in 2024 would please his overlords, both foreign and domestic, and added value: he could continue to plump up his dwindling bank accounts, wherever they may hide. Besides, he wouldn't want his thugs and goons to one day come after him!

So for cosmic support, you'll note that in the CPAC 2021 New Moon Horoscope of July 9th, the deceptive Neptune-MC midpoint rises which reveals the event's "acting and pretending" "mystery play" flavors, with the New Moon (18Can01) phase itself suggesting that demagogue Tr*mp has begun a new cycle of activity within his political endeavors, all geared toward running in the 2024 Presidential Election. And of course, Moon-ruled Cancer is the sign of tribalism, nationalism, and patriotism (whether feigned or authentic) where his watery Saturn, planet of authority, responsibility, and authenticity, resides. As you know, Saturn in Cancer loves its independence but tends to be discontented and aggravated by family ties (R. Ebertin). Indictments, perhaps?

Further cosmic evidence of Tr*mp's power-grasping intentions can be found in the CPAC 2021 New Moon Horoscope, linked above, at its Goal-and-Aspiration Point, the Midheaven ('MC") @2Scorpio, the degree of the 6 South Solar Eclipse of October 25, 2022 (just prior to Midterms 2022 on November 8th, the day of a Lunar Eclipse) for the October eclipse is a repetition of the 6 South eclipse which manifested in 1932 as the 'Nazis Rise to Power' Eclipse (two charts set for Berlin and DC; this is my label for the 1932 eclipse, but if you disagree, look at events of 1932 when Nazis were the largest party in the Prussian parliament and Herr H was on his way to grasping full control of the German government in early 1933).

Take Heed: the GOP now the American Fascist Party

So besides the abundant earthly signs of what the fascist-leaning GOP has planned for America (for which my common good sensibilities and Revolutionary ancestors totally reject), the Cosmos is reflecting similar implications for those with watchful eyes and open ears to hear - and be forewarned and ready.

An additional astro-note concerning yesterday's walk-out of Democratic legislators in Texas and their flight to Washington DC to highlight their fight against voter suppression legislation being forced by the Texas GOP. A peek at the Republic of Texas proclamation horoscope of March 2, 1836 reveals quirky Uranus @1Pis11, one degree from the very zodiacal spot (2:11) where transit Jupiter, now Rx, made his standstill on June 20, 2021! A Jupiter-to-Uranus transit suggests involvement in group causes, and gaining more awareness of physical and mental freedom, both good descriptions of current events because Americans' Right to Vote is embedded within the US Constitution, and rescuing the Right to Vote is a worthy cause to believe in.

The Saturn-Uranus Cycle of President Joe Biden

July 11, 2021: As you know, Bebe Joe Biden was born on November 20, 1942 with a wide conjunction in Gemini of status quo Saturn Rx and progressive Uranus Rx straddling his natal Descendant (3Gem11). Below is a Horoscope of the Saturn-Uranus Conjunction of 1942 which times the beginning of the Saturn-Uranus Cycle that President Joe Biden was born into. The turmoil and conflicts struggling under the dynamic energies of the ongoing Saturn-Uranus square in the rigid signs of Taurus and Aquarius might make this post useful for at least a few SO'W readers!

Now as you see, the chart is set for Scranton, Pennsylvania since Joseph Robinette Biden was born in that particular location, as the legend goes. Note that relocating the chart to Washington DC makes little difference and, significantly, no planets change houses. A few Sabian Symbols and other chart factors are added to the horoscope so that you don't have to, plus, a smattering of astro-notes concerning the Saturn-Uranus pair of planets are typed below the chart for anyone who might need them although you can certainly think of more potentials for the 'old order vs new order' pair besides those listed:

Well, considering how Republicans are carrying on these days, I'd have to say that 'indifference to ethics' should be tossed into the GOP's scofflaw bag, too.

Meanwhile, there are at least four Sabian Symbols which should be listed on the chart but are not: Sun "13Taurus" = "A Man Handling Baggage" and Moon "20Sagittarius" = "People Cutting Through Ice For Summer Use." Also Venus "28Pisces" = "A Fertile Garden Under a Full Moon" opposite Neptune Rx "28Virgo" = "A Bald-Headed Man Dominates a Gathering of National Figures." (We may have found Joe!) To me the Venus-Neptune opposition represents on one level the Catholic faith in which Mr. Biden takes part, and, as a Protestant, I'll risk typing it out loud: goddess (Venus) idolatry (Neptune), and all the church's graven images, Mary (Venus) being one. Placing womankind upon a pedestal is often involved as well along with issues of Personal Love vs Universal Love (A. Oken) where service to the Collective becomes a life's mission (ex: Joe Biden). There's much more to the dreamy Venus-Neptune duo, of course, but there it is.

So in closing, see lower left for chart-ruler Moon's only applying aspect in the chart, an oposition to Jupiter in Gemini. As you see, the ethics-related Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is intercepted in this chart which adds a fated or karmic flavor to conditions and/or outcomes which must be dealt with. Of course, use a different house system and the interception would probaby disappear, or another one might appear!

And note that activist Mars rises with fixed star Mirzam (to have one's say) along with Phaethon, a mythological figure that tended to take on responsibilities before he was fully prepared.

Previously on SO'W: Karmic Planets Block President Biden into 2022 and for one, I'm sure you've noticed that transit Pluto is opposing his natal Jupiter Rx 25Can08 (natal 8th house), a period when his economic expansion and political objectives are not favored and other beneficial transits and cosmic conditions are needed to mitigate the negative factors. Three exact oppositions from powerful Pluto to his natal Jupiter (exalted in Cancer!) have and will occur all through 2021: January 29, August 4, and finally on December 4, 2021.

July 2021 brings Trump both Lunar and Mars Returns

Saturday July 10, 2021: Below is a dual image of Tr*mp's Lunar Return on July 21, 2021 (lower left; Moon 21Sag12 conjunct his South Node, opposite natal Sun-NN) and his Mars Return of July 24, 2021 (upper right). You'll note that the ongoing transit of Neptune in Pisces opposing US natal Neptune in Virgo (a generational influence timing a period of racial and religious persecution) continues to square Tr*mp's natal Sun-Moon opposition and Nodal Axis which suggests for him a time when fantasy and illusion affect his self-image and public image, when ego demands are difficult to satisfy (are they ever satisfied for him?), an air of confusion and uncertainty surrounds him, chaos and scandals proliferate, a lack of loyalty plagues his circumstances, and marital problems may surface.

Now if the Select Committee's first hearing on the 1/6 insurrection is held on or near July 21st or 22nd as suggested by Committee chair Bennie Thompson (D-MS) (dates subject to change, of course), then these Return horoscopes can provide significant information concerning Trump's moods, emotions, and daily activities (Lunar Return - but also compare to his Solar Return 2021 chart) and a new two-year cycle of activity for him (Mars Return) so hopefully curious readers can manage to read the notes penned upon the charts (they're easier to read when printed, I'm told). We may refer to these Return horoscopes in a later post depending on how events proceed, yet as you know, the charts are full of 'Tr*mp info' whether the Select Committee meets in July or not.

Tr*mp's Lunar and Mars Return Charts for July 2021:

Prominent potentials include "violence" and "upsets" (Lunar Return: ASC = Mars-Uranus), and a "crisis of self-preservation" (Mars Return: ASC = Sun-Pluto); also "exercising influence upon the environment" and "mental domination" (ASC = Mercury-Pluto), plus, "a person of fame" (ASC = Pluto/MC - R. Ebertin). And note that every time his Mars in Leo returns to natal degree, it reinforces his aggressive natal opposition to US natal Moon (We The People) and caution is advised. And note that the ongoing status quo blocks progress Saturn-Uranus square provides fertile conditions in society for upheavals, violent actions, and/or accidents to occur.

I'm linking it in this post because of its rather sassy title, Republicans Terrified As Pelosi Names Patriots and Investigative Heavyweights To 1/6 Committee. To me this seems completely understandable considering that certain Republican congress members went all-in with instigator Tr*mp to "stop the steal" by attacking the very Congress and Capitol Building in which they all work, hoping to establish a neo-nazi foothold of "white supremacy" more securely within the US government. And the more toolish fools among them are still parroting Tr*mp's Big Lie! Meanwhile, Tr*mp's 'Big Lie' and other remarks are turning out to be suitable for legal use against at least one of the 1/6 rioters who followed agent orange's orders on 1/6, one of which was to go to the Capitol and "fight like hell"!

But as it turns out, the rioters' supposed justification for perpetrating a violent attack on our legislative branch of government was only an illusion, a fantasy fed them by you-know-who because he had several axes to grind and, as always, others were expected to do the heavy lifting, tomahawk and flagpole in hand.

Gotta keep those tiny little mitts clean, thinks he!

US Election Day November 5, 2024: Portents of Venus in Sagittarius

Friday July 9, 2021: First we should note that a multitude of earth-based social and political factors will affect the final results of the 2024 Presidential Election and quite a few astrologers poo poo the Venus Cycle theory of US elections. However, to me the Venus Cycle seems one of the more basic influences upon who wins and who loses the coveted White House position. The 'goddess' does, after all, reign atop the US Capitol Building and one of her archetypal manifestations as "Columbia" is well known as namesake of the District. Certainly, Venus is no stranger to or in Washington, DC.

Therefore, today I'm plopping the Venus Cycle effect upon US election cycles back into the discourse of SO'W with an eye toward November 5, 2024 when Venus will be in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius and future references to the 2024 Election will certainly turn up here on SO'W and elsewhere as time flees on.

So here is an excerpt (with a few small edits for clarity) from a previous post written in light of the 2016 Election but with portents that may (or may not) affect the results of Election 2024:

Now as Morning Star, election day Venus favors the incumbent candidate or ruling party (even if 2 terms--8 years-- have been served by the incumbent president) - aka, the "one who wears the crown" as it was termed in the olden days of Mundane Astrology. The Morning Star status of Venus occurs in November (2nd through 8th, when presidential elections are held) when 'the lady' is in the early degrees of Libra, one of the signs Venus rules. Since our elections are on a 4-year cycle, Venus is Evening Star in alternate elections because Venus returns to her same position every 8 years. As Evening Star, her position is the mid-to-later degrees of Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius, sign of the stranger, foreigner, or outsider - someone different or 'other' who acts as the challenger and rival to the throne - such as a non-politician, or an Independent (neither Republican nor Democrat).

But in her Evening Star role, Venus bestows favor upon the incumbent party's rival as if she's wielding influence in the court of a king and 'the crown' is given to the opponent of the ruling king. Yet there have been two notable exceptions to this predictive guide: the successful election of Democrat Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1932 when he whisked away 'the crown' from the head of one-term Republican Herbert Hoover, and the election of Republican Ronald Reagan in 1980 who finagled 'the crown' from one-term Democrat Jimmy Carter. Both elections occurred with Venus as Morning Star (in Libra) yet upsets somehow occurred due in part to both candidates' tendencies to hastily give favors to others and/or make advantageous backroom deals (Iran hostages boosted Reagan; for Hoover, his tide of popularity had turned due to economics after 1929.)

Even so, let's not use the word 'cheating' though I will say that cheating isn't winning, it's stealing. Plus, a fed-up American public can make a difference as well for if we show up and vote in a landslide it's more difficult for operatives to finagle outcomes their way and against We The People's wishes.

But facing facts as this Saturnian astrologer prefers to do, we know that in 2021 the GOP is busy making a 2024 landslide for Democrats more difficult via repressive voting reforms in various states so that it will take an even larger landslide than ever before if we wish to best the nazi-loving cheaters of 2024. And that also goes for Midterms 2022!
