A Horoscope for The Pilgrim Fathers

Perhaps you've noticed that Wikipedia maintains a page concerning the Pilgrims and Plymouth Colony with quite a bit of basic information, including names of the Separatists, Merchant Adventurers, and other participants of the endeavor. And it's possible to discover one's descendancy from signers of The Mayflower Compact or other passengers by researching their surnames. For that purpose, a handy list is provided by Mayflower Society, for millions of Americans are descendants. Plus, you may also wish to check out history.com's 7 Famous Mayflower Descendants. The list includes a mild sprinkling of US presidents: John Adams, Zachary Taylor, and James Garfield, plus, actor Humphrey Bogart and artist Norman Rockwell.

Why, any American reading this post could be a Pilgrim descendant, too! So if you've yet to discover it, why not investigate whether or not you descend from one or more of the Mayflower Compact Signatories with the famous signing occurring aboard ship on November 11, 1620 while it anchored in Provincetown Harbor.

So below you'll find a Horoscope of the Pilgrim Fathers as published in Nicholas Campion's The Book of World Horoscopes #ad (set for December 21, 1620 6:00 pm LMT Plymouth, Massachusetts, and unaltered by yours truly). None of my study notes are penned on in case you'd like to print a blank copy of the horoscope.

However, I'll add an astro-note or two: With Sagittarius rising (sign of strangers, foreigners, adventurers, explorers, religious folk, and immigrants!), Jupiter in the practical money sign of Taurus rules the chart and the enterprise, and as you see, Jupiter and an undiscovered Pluto (undiscovered then, but you and I know it was there) are closely conjunct @11Taurus23/40. Both are retrograde ('Rx') in the 5th house of Risk-Taking and Gambling, with Jupiter's Rx condition suggesting potential delays of some kind within one or more Jupiterian realms.

And so this power-laden planetary pair hints that the leaders assuming control were plutocrats, financiers, speculators, and organizers accustomed to handling large projects, but with a definite emphasis on powerful religious figures able to express leadership qualities. And with Jupiter-Pluto involvement, there's even a potential for the squandering of resources (which did occur, I've read).

Yet perhaps the enterprise's primary emphasis as shown by this planetary pair is investment in the form of funding from the London stock company which made the venture possible for the Separatists. Meanwhile, sailors, men hired to protect company interests, and the indentured servants who made the perilous journey across the Atlantic are represented by the Mars-Neptune conjunction. And of course, planet Uranus must relate to the very ideas of separatism and a breaking away from the rest - first, from the Church of England, then from the Old World to the New.

Now in closing, a final note: it's beyond the scope of this post, but here may be an idea worth taking up: That the self-righteous Puritan streak of our Pilgrim Fathers rearing up and causing social and political turmoil in America (and expressing within society on one level as the Republicans' implementation of 'handmaidism' of the chained woman) may be lurking within the 1620 Horoscope of the Pilgrim Fathers, perhaps signified in part by Venus in sexy Scorpio opposing the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction. We basically saw evidence of current-day (and inherited?) misogyny appearing before our eyes with the recent Alito draft leak of his Supreme Court decision striking down Roe v Wade which included a bizarre citing of a judge from ye olden days of the Salem Witch Trials when women were persecuted, even executed - sometimes in order to rob them of their property.

To which I say, Judge not, lest ye be also judged.

So now you, dear reader, know why I finally got around to publishing A Horoscope for the Pilgrim Fathers.

DC Horoscope: the "will be wild" tweet

A Tweet That Called for Violent Assault on Congress

Spotlighted during the July 12, 2022 J6 Hearing was Trump's Will be wild tweet that he sent out to his followers at 1:42 am est on December 19, 2020 not long after the December 18th "unhinged" Oval Office meeting had ended. The tweet activated, and was intended to activate - Trump-idolizing militia groups to meet in Washington DC on January 6, 2021, and although no reader may agree with me - for I have no proof, only intuition - "will be wild" could very well have been a prearranged signal that the "armed revolution" against the US Congress to stop or slow down certification of the Electoral College Votes for Joe Biden was going forward - and weapons would be necessary.

So because his tweet has been accurately time-stamped, I've spent a few hours today messily marking study notes upon a bi-wheel with a DC Horoscope set for December 19, 2020 1:42 am est Washington DC, Trump's "will be wild" tweet (inner). Surrounding the 'tweet' horoscope is the natal chart of Donald Trump so that it's impossible to miss the fact that his Stationary Jupiter @17Lib27 precisely rises the moment he tweeted his "wild" message. This timing places House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's natal Jupiter opposite @18Aries. Rising is not simply his Jupiter but also Trump's natal 2nd house trio of Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter, and you'll note that he activated an armed mob to search and destroy the Speaker of the House that day, along with other Democrats, plus, VP Pence, who refused to help him with his coup attempt of the US government:

Now as you see, the tweet's 4 South Prenatal Solar Eclipse @23Sag08 (so near Trump's awkward Moon-South-Node conjunction) is penned into the 3rd house of Communications with its 4 South themes listed in the center of the horoscope (although there was no space to add 4 South's fated quality, or its 'end of relationships' potential - B. Brady). You probably remember that this is the December 14, 2020 Eclipse which occurred on the day the Electoral College voted for Joe Biden - and there were strong emotions expressed during the screamfest called the "unhinged" Oval Office meeting which Sidney "Kraken" Powell and other "crazies" attended, for one reason to tell Trump to seize voting machines through an executive order. (See lower left for a few notes on the de-licensed lawyer Powell, pal of Ginni Thomas - Powell's natal midpoint picture describes a fraudster.) If you watched, you know that the "unhinged" meeting was discussed during the July 12th J6 hearing yesterday.

And descriptively enough, for his birthday this year in June, Trump received a Full Moon @23Sag25 which starkly lit up the 4 South Electoral College Eclipse of December 14, 2020 - and of course, June 2022 brought his nibs lots of publicity and stress through multiple J6 Public Hearings! (The first hearing's horoscope is linked, below.) It's all about 2020's Electoral College Vote and Trump's refusal to get over his loss - which now sticks to the Trump brand.

Meanwhile, you'll note that the tweet chart's Midheaven ('MC'), the Goal Point, has difficult star Castor upon it ('sudden loss or fame; murder; crippling of limbs; mental illness' - A. Louis). Also conjunct Midheaven is the Mars-Ascendant midpoint, a picture that R. Ebertin gives as, 'fighters' and 'comrades in arms'. Comrades in arms? Sounds like militia groups and complicit Republican politicians who had parts to play in the "stop the steal" proceedings. An exception was VP Pence, an outlier whose refusal enraged coup-plotter Trump.

Lower right corner you see transit Pluto opposing Trump's natal Saturn denoting his refusal to accept loss and failure, the tweet's Moon @26AQ48 opposing Trump's natal Mars @26Leo46 which echoes the oppositional relationship between his aggressive Mars and US 1776 Moon (for those who use this placement for We The People). For me this is a cosmic picture of his contempt for us including his supporters, his aggression against our country, the assault against the peaceful transfer of power, and his general willingness to do America harm as signified by the Moon-Mars opposition. Plus, it's a Nodal Return for him when new alliances can be formed, and in his case, transit North Node @19Gemini points toward his natal 10th house Sun-NN-Uranus trio of 'meetings with excited or unusual people' ("crazies"), fanaticism, and radical reactionary politics.

Also notable, is that this time period includes the Great Conjunction of societal planets Jupiter and Saturn on December 21, 2020 @00AQ29 - conjunct the US POTUS Sun (played by Trump, at that time). This forms a midpoint picture of potentials: Jupiter-Saturn = POTUS Sun: "taking destiny into one's own hands; major changes according to plan; or, if nothing has been prepared, becoming gripped by the status quo and having to make the best of things" (N. Tyl).

Well, he was legally advised to avoid the crazy idea of seizing voting machines and his court challenges had failed, so I can believe that he was gripped by the status quo of his election loss, and with options exhausted, it seems that his tweet calling for armed rebellion must have been his version of taking destiny into his own tweeting hands in an attempt to make the 'best' of things by strong-arming his way back into the presidency.

J6 Hearing July 12, 2022: Connecting Dots

Today the J6 Select Committee investigating the January 6th coup attempt of Donald Trump holds another public hearing with an opening time reset from 10:00 am edt to 1:00 pm edt (last I heard!). Below is a DC Horoscope of the event with America's 1776 Saturn (our legal eagle planet exalted in Libra and representing lawmakers) rising along with Trump's natal 2nd house trio of Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter. A few of Trump's 1946 placements are penned around the chart and highlighted in pink.

Chart-and-hearing-ruler Venus @23Gemini (in 9th house of legal afffairs) conjoins US 1776 Mars which suggests potentials for joint ventures with allies, muted aggression, but since Venus activates our nation's problematic Mars-Neptune square (here, a reference to misguided actors on Trump's behalf, plus, his own), we may also expect the proceedings to involve less than ideal circumstances, and a measure of disillusionment which may be a reference to Trump supporters changing their opinion of his nibs so perhaps we'll hear of such changing opinions during J6 testimony. As you see, the planets are in the shape of a ruthless Locomotive pattern with the out-of-bounds ('OOBs') Moon @6Capricorn leading the engine from the 3rd house of Communications. Of interest is that testifying Mercury is also OOBs so will someone zoom in to the hearing? Or maybe this refers to recorded depositions such as that of Pat Cipollone. Of course, Luna may refer in part to one of today's leaders of the hearing, Stephanie Murphy (D-FL), the other being Rep. Jamie Raskin who has battled against white nationalism for years and this may surface in today's hearing.

Meanwhile, today's planet of testimony and negotiations, Mercury (@15Can25 - conjunct the Pentagon's 1942 Ascendant) snugs around The Goal Point ('MC') along with the Sun @20Can20 and reveals objectives for effective communications on the world stage, and those who stand up for their convictions.

As for lunations affecting today's hearing, those are the 9th house Syzygy Moon (last lunation prior) which is the New Moon of June 29, 2022 @7Can22 (conjunct Trump's natal Mercury - he's to sit for a deposition in NYC), and the 6 North Solar Eclipse of April 19, 2022 (@10Tau28, here in 7th house) with 6N themes of 'relationship to authority figures' and 'accepting commitments due to another person's unreliability or illness' (paraphrasing B. Brady).

Well, I plan to watch the J6 hearing. How about you?

The 2024 Presidential Election's Eclipse

In 2022, with Midterm Elections and a Lunar Eclipse coming this November, few Americans can continue ignoring the fact that our nation and our Perpetual Union Horoscope of 1781 will be 'going through some things' in upcoming years with the idea of perpetual union under threat by seditionists and saboteurs harboring fascist, neo-nazi, authoritarian, and/or oligarchic visions and plans for the US government which do not include a perpetually democratic Republic.

Concerning such a difficult topic, it's entirely possible that this particular Political Astrology post will bring no comfort to many readers, if any. Yet being aware of 2023-2025 cosmic events can add to our understanding and prepare us for effective ways to meet titanic challenges mounted by those working hard to cancel America as we've known her. Therefore, monitoring underlying causes and motivations through the lens of astrology is an excellent idea when malicious bad faith actors are manipulating people and events to their advantage, and this is an organized global movement of paternalism that the forces of democracy are facing. May I suggest ye olde chastity belt as the regressive GOP's logo?

Eclipse Cycles Echo Historical Cycles: See the List Below

Now as you know, eclipses have a reputation for disruption, often to the point of a complete change of course for Earthly events as inconvenient secrets are revealed and scandals may result. Two nicknames for eclipses are self-explanatory: wild cards of the Universe and cosmic blinks, and they're often referred to as 'Uranian' due to their similarity in behavior to chaos planet of diruption, anarchy, and zealotry - Uranus. Perhaps you'll remember how Donald Trump was born with a 10th house (Career) Uranus @18Gemini, his oriental planet (rising just before his Sun) which means that erratic Uranus is his guiding planet, and in Mercury-ruled Gemini, made him a convincing orator (for some, for a while). However, Gemini is the sign of duplicity, which helped a majority of Americans see through his overblown rhetoric full of lies.

So when it comes to the US Presidential Election of 2024, the Solar Eclipse Series in which its 2024 manifestation falls, plus its Themes, are significant for our nation, and that's the 8 South Saros Series with themes of 'loss, separation, partings, sadness, overstrain, and/or injury' (B. Brady). And even though solar eclipses occurring in Venus-ruled Libra relate to issues of fairplay, cooperation, and causes that promote world justice, 8 South themes of loss prior to the upcoming presidential election may refer to a political party's loss, or to the tragic loss of American democracy unless US voters turn out at the polls and Vote Blue en masse.

Can this be any more obvious? Because we're told that a certain party is now rigging Electoral College Electors in various states to ignore the popular vote in a more aggressive and outrageous way than ever before. They hope it will be the conclusion and fulfillment of their January 6, 2021 coup attempt.

UPDATE July 7, 2022: Mea Culpa! the July 6, 2022 chart (outer) was calculated with 'EST' and should be 'EDT' - in too much of a hurry earlier to notice. This hour change makes the Ascendant 9Gem49 with US 1776 Uranus rising (our planet of revolution and war), plus, Aldebaran rises with the Mercury-Uranus midpoint (eccentric actions) indicating accidents, upsets, and/or organizing ability (R. Ebertin). At Midheaven is 19AQ52 with Saturn Rx @24AQ28 - Saturn, karmic planet of stones, slabs, carvings, and loss. 2022 Uranus conjunct 1980 Venus suggests unusual alliances and unpredictable events affecting relationships.

My time today is brief because there's a whole bunch going on here, so below a quick posting of the Georgia Guidestones Horoscope surrounded by the timed chart of their destruction by incendiary device. NYSE transits: Is the US Economy in or approaching Recession?

A Planetary Spotcheck on the NYSE: 2022 into 2023

Whether we look at the horoscope for the NYSE Buttonwood Handshake Agreement of May 17, 1792 NYC that first formed the 'Wall Street Casino', or the reorganization chart of May 11, 1869 (for timing I use the New Moon of that day @20Tau57 at 11:11:27 am LMT NYC), we find several difficult planetary transits of stress and strain in process as the bond yield market inverts which forecasts recession for the US economy, or, alerts us to the fact that the US economy is already in recession. Can Astrology, via a novice astrologer, show such a problem of market instability?

Perhaps, because certain planetary contacts to the 1792 and 1869 charts, shown above, indicate that in general, upheaval is in our financial cards. But since my theory is that no reader makes it to the end of a very long post, I'll simply mention a major transit affecting each horoscope - and both contacts occur three times due to retrogradation which stretches out the effects and conditions:

NYSE May 17, 1792 7:52 am LMT NYC shows wealth-hoarding Pluto @23AQ31, direct and in the corporate Big Business 8th house. However, 1792 Pluto squares 11th house Sun and Mercury Rx in money sign Taurus, therefore, transit Saturn squares them, too, which adds to the difficulties. Yet financier planet Jupiter of 1792 (22Lib57, 4th house) trines 1792 Pluto (big wheeler-dealers), so transit Saturn beneficially trines 1792 Jupiter so that a measure of mitigation of difficulties is provided during the earth-shaking, old order vs new order influences of Saturn conjunct 1792 Pluto exact on: 1. April 19, 2022; 2. July 22, 2022; 3. January 11, 2023. Power and control issues are also part of the Saturn-Pluto picture.

NYSE Reorganization May 11, 1869 NYC New Moon @20Tau57 in 10th house along with money planets Pluto (16Tau36) and Venus (21Tau33); there's a crisis/turning point YOD pattern between Uranus (14Can26 11th house) sextile Pluto at its base representing the reordering or reorganization of Wall Street itself due to crisis conditions, with apex Saturn Rx @15Sag33 in 4th house, planet of karma and of senior, well-established participants. Rounding up old man's Saturn's degree we get a Sabian Symbol significant to our current topic: "Sea Gulls Watching a Ship". And if we read the trio as a midpoint picture we find potentials for egoism, self-will, and exposure to great pressure (R. Ebertin). Great pressure sounds to me like a current condition as well.

Suggesting upheaval, changes, and a very bumpy ride, transit Uranus conjuncts 1869 Pluto three times, exact on: 1. June 6, 2022; 2. November 16, 2022; 3. March 28, 2023. You'll note the November 16th date so near the November 8, 2022 Election Day with Uranus conjunct 1869 Pluto. Perhaps we can agree that violent disruptions interfering with Midterms 2022 voting bodes ill for society on many levels which includes economic issues.

Yet we know that the inverted bond yield indicator isn't written in stone as a recession signpost since its negative effects could be avoided with careful navigation, yet the wealthy elite are apparently lacking confidence in America 'going forward' which may prove even more important since their failure to invest in the US economy can trigger a recession. Why, some of the wealthy villains even supported Trump's violent J6 coup attempt against the US Congress but you can bet that many of them made the bulk of their fortunes off the American people - in our democratic society.

Meanwhile, we should begin to understand more about these issues once banking planet Jupiter Stations and turns Rx on July 28, 2022 @8Ari43. Jupiter will remain inwardly turned (inverted?) until the third week of November 2022 after the 2022 Midterm Elections and the day's Taurus Lunar Eclipse conjunct disruptive Uranus, planet of radical politics and zealots which creates a major problem of instability for financial markets and for Main Street shoppers who stay home out of fear, and who may stay home from the November polls, choosing to Vote By Mail.

So as you see, these major transits to the NYSE charts are already in progress since April and June 2022 which possibly denotes that a recession is already in progress (although other more beneficial transits into 2023 may bring economic relief). But however Wall Street decides to react to these cosmic influences, we may as well expect difficulties through the bond yield market on into 2023 with little if any benefits from retrograde Jupiter's funds or from the Great Benefic's protective function.

Actually, my suspicion is that there are potentials in store for aid delayed and/or blocked efforts to show up on our societal menu, most likely engineered and promoted by sorehead politicians of a regressive persuasion working hard to sabotage our country on behalf of their foreign and domestic handlers and financiers. My feeling is that voting for malevolent saboteurs in the 2022 Midterms will go ahead and sink that Ship (of State), the one the seagulls are watching very intently for signs of faltering.

Therefore, realistically speaking - and as previously noted - these major 2022-2023 transits for a US economy led by Wall Street gentry may be cosmic announcements of a very bumpy ride.

But hey! How about fighting back the toffs? For there's one event full of hope (one of Jupiter's favorite functions!) which was held on June 18, 2022 under the restless influences of the first Uranus-to-Pluto transit to the 1869 chart. As you know, the Uranus-Pluto pair is always active when social protests rise up under great pressure, as we saw with Reverend William Barber's Mass Poor People's and Low-Wage Workers' Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls.
