August 2018: Minor Progressed Midpoints of Mr Trump

So much has been written and prognosticated about the deteriorating mental health of Donald Trump that a peek at his Minor Progressions seemed like an interesting idea. Yes, I've progressed his natal chart in this way before but today I'm progressing it to the date of The Tower Solar Eclipse @18Leo41 which promises collapse and rebuilding of some sort and perfects within Trump's natal 12th house of Politics, Karma, and Self-Undoing--and because the Trump name is closely associated with the towers he builds and those he longs to build.

With Minor Progressions on a particular date describing what's happening on the mental plane (via the 27:13:1 ratio = we think 27 times faster than we act, and have a feeling about a thought 13 times faster than we act on it ...Tertiary Progressions/emotional plane...and '1' being our Secondary Progressions or the physical plane), Trump's Minor Progressions on August 11, 2018 may be of interest. As usual, any, all, or none may apply but can be activated by transits and/or other progressions so see what you think given what you know about the difficulties Admiral Bone Spurs is going through these days--midpoint info is quoted from Ebertin's The Combination of Stellar Influences, angular pictures are listed first:

Moon-Neptune = Ascendant (@22Sag59 conjunct his natal Moon-SN, a melancholy indicator itself): an unstable personality; dependency upon all environmental influences; ability or faculty to see through other people; associations with sensitive, weak, or sick people.

Saturn-North Node = ASC: an inhibited person with a desire for seclusion; suffering under difficulties with other persons (kindred); separation.

Summer Solstice Solar Eclipses 2001 and 2020

July 30, 2018: here you see a dual image of two horoscopes of the Summer Solstice 2001 Solar Eclipse and the Summer Solstice Solar Eclipse of 2020. In 2001, the eclipse perfected on June 21 @00Can10 and was the Prenatal Eclipse of the WTC attacks on 9/11/01. In 2020 an eclipse will manifest on June 21 @00Can21. Both charts are set for Washington DC as representative of America. The two eclipses are 'time links' by degree, not by Saros Series.

Note that in Political Astrology I tend to work with eclipses symbolically by degree, sign, stars, sensitive and critical degrees, etc. For as you know, eclipses affect history by expressing through individuals via an eclipse's links to a person's natal chart and planets. Those who are in an eclipse's path of visibility may 'feel' the effects more strongly, yes, but even if one is located 'out of the path', eclipses occur and have influence even so. For one thing, an eclipse manifests approximately every 18.6 years in the same Saros Series as the series a person is born into (their Prenatal Eclipse or 'PE') so whether a person is located at the time in path of visibility or not, it's 'their' personal eclipse. An example is the recent solar eclipse on July 12, 2018 @21Cancer in Mr. Trump's 2 Old North Saros Series which occurred while he was abroad and perfected two days prior to his 'Helsinki Summit' with Mr. Putin. That 2 Old North themes of 'unfortunate news' and 'separation' affected Trump personally seems apparent to me if not you.

That said, here are the horoscopes of the 2001 Summer Solstice Eclipse and the upcoming Summer Solstice Eclipse of June 21, 2020 with my usual messy notes scribbled upon:

Now as you know, 00Cancer, a critical degree, is one of the four Cardinal Points of Manifestation denoting events occurring on the world stage and this alone makes an eclipse upon this degree significant. Will a similar attack be heralded by the 2020 eclipse? They say history doesn't repeat but it rhymes yet I'm not prognosticating such a game-changing terrorist assault. Even so, most folks feel that major shifts are occurring now across the globe--politically and in the physical world via natural (and man made) disasters--and leaders tend to wage wars when they feel their domestic support waning. So with the chaos-loving Uranian Trump's quixotic finger on The Button, who would care to guess how he'll 'jump' in 2020--or even this afternoon?

As you see, the 2001 eclipse (upper, right) occurred in the 3 North Saros Series with themes of: 'news involving young people and/or news that transforms a situation; information that causes worry and obsession; large plans are undertaken which may be over-excessive'. Past 3 North eclipses are PEs for the likes of the CIA, William Howard Taft, James Monroe's second inauguration, John Quincy Adams, Hillary Clinton, and J.K. Rowling. Its initial manifestation occurred on October 10, 991 @22Gem06 (conjunct US natal warrior planet Mars--and Donald Trump's natal Sun, btw, engaged in a trio with his natal North Node and guiding planet, Uranus). Soon a 3 North eclipse will 'come again' on July 2, 2019 @11Cancer--among America's natal Cancerian trio of Venus, Jupiter, and Sun. Of course, Venus and Jupiter relate to finances, currencies, and money supply, the Sun to leadership.

The Summer Solstice Eclipse of 2020 perfects in the 4 North Saros Series. Its difficult themes are: 'illusions, restriction, inhibition, separation; events seem to block individuals who tend to misjudge strengths or situations; take no real action until the influence of the eclipse passes'. The initial 4 North eclipse occurred on May 25, 1389 @12Gem08, a position some see as America's natal Descendant. Interestingly, 4 North is the PE of: George Washington, George Soros, Prince Harry, the State of Israel, and Katy Perry.

Solar Eclipses in Gemini and Cancer

So the 2001 and 2020 solar eclipses in Moon-ruled Cancer (plus, Trump's in July 2018) should be viewed through a Mercurial Gemini lens due to their initial manifestations. An eclipse in Gemini spotlights logic, fluency, and the coherent expression of ideas. Negative traits include superficiality, loquaciousness, and caprice along with a tendency to communicate without forethought. Those born under a Gemini eclipse may tend toward garbled sentence structure, splintered positions, and duplicity. Unsurprisingly, Donald Trump's PE occurred in 1946 @9Gemini (conjunct US natal Uranus, our 'war and revolution' planet of shocks and chaos.) The gathering of information is also a Gemini eclipse influence along with gossip, news, and a dependence on poll-taking, all of which relate to Trump.

Solar eclipses in sensitive, receptive Cancer are associated with imagination, emotional extremes, emotional withdrawal (Cancer, the Crab hiding in its shell), karmic family ties, psychic ability, shrewd business moves, and an interest in Genealogy.

Well, that's all I shall type for now on 3 North and 4 North except to remind myself that all eclipses are 'wild card of the Universe' and 'cosmic blinks' which affect human history and individuals with their game-changing energies that are very similar to planet Uranus in its capacity to disrupt, separate, and reveal hidden factors which may be extremely inconvenient for all those involved.

Did the Helsinki 'Summit' Get Most People's Attention Finally?

This may be significant: assuming that we can depend on Sabian Symbols to have meaning in and for the Collective, the difficult August 11, 2018 Solar Eclipse @19Leo opposes by degree and sign (Leo-AQ) what at the time I was prone to calling, The Unmasking Eclipse because it manifested in the 10 North series on February 7, 2008 @18AQ, the "A Man Unmasked" degree.

Naturally, the year '2008' is well known for America's world-shaking financial collapse and subsequent heist but that's not the topic of this post. The symbol for '18 Aquarius' as described by Dane Rudhyar and Marc Edmund Jones is the topic for its themes resemble current events and are being triggered via opposition from the August 2018 eclipse @19Leo. In a comparison of the two eclipse charts there are many more planetary and cyclic factors involved, of course, but here's the gist of '18AQ" in relation to Donald Trump being unmasked as the __, a __, or the __ (fill in the blank) we didn't want in the White House even as Mr. Putin is now unmasked as Trump's handler, or, as some would reluctantly say, his boss:

"Keynote: The difficulty for the modern individual to keep secret his private past or his deeper motives." This symbol may also "refer to the publicizing of past behavior" and it mentions "innumerable governmental agencies " that are "nearly always able to find access to remains or records of past actions..." Sounds like serenades by old-baggage-handling Trump, KGB-er Putin, and embarrassing Kremlin intel with shades of Michael Cohen's years' worth of records haunting around the edges. And toss in the 'Trump tariffs and trade wars' that, eyed clearly, seem to be intended for the purposes of losing American jobs and crashing the US economy, a further weakening of our nation at Putin's direction--in retaliation for the Fall of the Soviet Union (1991--over-confidently billed as the "End of Communism").

Jones: '18AQ' = "A Man Unmasked"...

This symbol "demands that each person make a public accounting of himself whenever the general welfare requires it. Life becomes a laboratory for an immortal curiosity. Keyword: ANALYSIS." Positive expression: "a considered self-dedication to greater and more wonderful reasons for being"; negative/unconscious/shadow side: "self-betrayal through exceptional ineptitude." (My italics and bolds.)

Public accounting? Long overdue, including Trump's tax returns, but perhaps Mr. Mueller can help us with that. General welfare? Naturally, We The People value it but a mask-free Trump now informs us that he prefers Russia over America, so if confronted he'll probably pretend not to have heard of the concept nor will he respond to the shouted question!

The upcoming August 2018 Solar Eclipse ('The Tower') @19Leo in the 2 New North Series perfects upon Montenegro's 9th house Mars-Uranus midpoint with Sun-ruled Leo intercepted (Solar Fire v9; Tropical; Placidus System).

Winter Solstice 2012, a haunting YOD, and Saturn-Pluto

Winter Solstice 2012, a YOD Pattern, and Fated Encounters at Vertex for Mr. Trump

The well-publicized cosmic event of Winter Solstice 2012 presented us with a horoscope that cannot be forgotten for its configurations but also because the date times the ends of, or shifts in, various calendars and is said to symbolically spotlight a turning point for humanity. With its potentials of a 'turning point' or 'crossroads', the starkest figure within the 2012 chart is a YOD pattern with a Saturn-Pluto sextile at its base pointing like a 'Finger of God' toward Jupiter Rx @8Gem54 in 6th house (chart set for the White House Washington DC). And it's 8-8-8 degrees all around for this heavy weight trio of planets whose influences naturally continued into 2013 and beyond. Mr. Barack Obama was playing the presidential role then as you'll remember and, in the exalted realms of archetypes, representing many-armed Siva (Shiva), god of creation and destruction. Chilling. And for some crazy reason its statue is displayed near the Hadron Collider, a dangerous machine if there ever was one.

Yet after enduring almost two years of a Trump White House, Mr. Obama is being praised even by some conservatives like Max Boot who writes the He Would Take Obama Back in a Nanosecond. Well, I'd be there with ya, Mr. Boot, to welcome him back to the White House ('the people's house' and not Putin's playground!)

And perhaps it isn't significant but the Winter Solstice 2012 YOD pattern with the Saturn-Pluto sextile at its base points to 2012 Jupiter, as noted, but also to the Prenatal Solar Eclipse degree of Donald Trump in the 2 Old North series which just repeated @20Cancer41--onJuly 12 while he was overseas wilting next to Putin! 'Unfortunate news' is one of the potentials of a 2 Old North eclipse and there was certainly a huge amount of it attached to Trump's 'summit' with Vladimir Putin, especially upon Trump's return to US shores, and the criticism reverberates as I type 5 days later (hence Max Boot's op-ed linked above!)

Of course, Trump's PE of 1946 @9Gemini conjoins America's natal Uranus (8Gem55) so we can substitute Uranus for 2012 Jupiter in the formula and we have potentials for: Saturn-Pluto = US n Uranus: sudden changes or upsets in plans that concern important activities; reforms in the way punishment is given for important crimes; the erratic or uneven use of retaliatory measures (M. Munkasey). Noel Tyl adds some disturbing possibilities that deserve their own paragraph:

2012 Saturn-Pluto = 2012 Jupiter: trouble with authority; adoption of the austere; staying out of trouble; trying to save what's left. And with US Uranus: ~brutal efforts to start a new order~; an attack, regardless of potential losses. Of course, it took 'brutal efforts' back in Revolutionary days to establish our nation but that's actually the trouble--too many 'bosses in their own minds' think it's time for the 'new order' of 1776 to give way to a newer order which, they think, must be preceded by chaos--and they have Donald Trump as chaos agent for that. This Trumpian chaos creation reminds me too well of the themes of The Tower Solar Eclipse of August 11, 2018 upcoming--and he's known for his love of tower-building and for plastering his name all over them, the better to fall.

Saturn (government, law, business, limits) and Pluto (control, manipulation, transformation)

Now it's true that the Saturn-Pluto pairing is problematic for its cruelty, brutality, rage, fury of destruction, and a potential for hardship which sounds rather like Siva in destruction mode with the creative mode in regression. And most readers of my astro-blabs are well aware that the Saturn-Pluto cycle of about 33 years' duration begins anew on January 12, 2020 when the old man and the saboteur precisely conjoin one time only @22Cap43--conjunct the natal Vertex (Point of Fated Encounter) of Donald Trump (22:46)! Of course, both planets link to the devil and Hades but that's a post of a different hue.

Whether Trump meets with Saturn and Pluto or he forces their combined energies onto others is unknown to yours truly since Astrology's AC-DC currents can direct in either direction depending, or can denote alternating energies. But I do know that it should be one but may turn out to be the other. Fate is fickle that way yet karma always rolls around, no matter the level of a person's wealth and privilege. Is Mr. Trump destined (Vertex) to encounter Saturn-Pluto's strength and harshness or rule with it? Already the Cager of Children has shown signs of harshness and cruelty which would be most unfortunate for the entire world. And as you know, Trump admires aloud such harsh traits in other despots and longs for their type of 'independence' to act. Well, a Saturn-Pluto sextile suggests control issues on its own, and involves power and the withholding of information in order to retain it. Sounds rather like Putin holding something over Trump's head, doesn't it? Perhaps hotel tapes, money laundering crimes, or whatever? Even worse may be imagined since we don't actually know!

Then to the Saturn-Pluto conjunction we should add Nicholas de Vore's symbol for the degree of '23 Capricorn' (rounded up) where they meet on January 12, 2020 and we have an appropriate symbol of "governmental authority" which makes me wonder if Donald Trump will wield it--or by then will governmental authority finally catch up with his wayward ways and snatch him sideways?

July 27, 2016 Trump shout-out to Russia: Hack Hillary!

During a campaign rally on July 27, 2016 Donald Trump gave a public shout-out to a foreign power to hack Hillary Clinton's emails and as we now know from Mr. Mueller's unsealed indictments of the Russian culprits Trump's directive was followed on that very date.

The Chicago Tribune has the published the Mueller indictment if you haven't yet had the pleasure.

Appropriately, transits on July 27, 2016 show messenger Mercury conjoining Trump's natal Mars in Leo, a time when ideas can become physical realities and instructions are given or received for how to accomplish a task or operate machinery!

Also you'll note that the date was around political convention time when the Republicans met under the light of a Full Moon that perfected upon America's natal Pluto Rx (27Cap33) and that the timing of Trump's rallies on that day (in Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania) were intended to snatch away the news cycle from goings-on at the Democratic National Convention. DC Horoscope: Election Day 2020

Election 2020 and a Farewell to Bretton Woods!

Friday July 13, 2018: Predictions are being made concerning the 2020 Election, one such that both Republicans and Democrats should be worried but for different reasons. To me it seems more a case that the American people should be worried with little respite proffered between now and then as 'the old order' collapses into 'the new'. Anyway, below is a bi-wheel of Election Day 2020 (November 3) both charts set for Washington DC. Inner chart = 12:00 am est; outer chart = 11:59 pm est so we can view the entire planetary panoply from beginning to end of the 24-hour period:

Now many things including loyalties will shift before November 3, 2020 so I won't type much on this chart today though a few factors should be mentioned, such as:

12:00 am est, an Hour of the Sun becomes an Hour of the Moon (changes, fluctuations, publicity) by 11:59 pm est. With Leo rising, Chart-ruler Sun makes only one applying Ptolemaic aspect in the chart, a trine to Neptune (18Pis20 Rx) which benefits covert activities (exs: sabotage; foreign agents infiltrating; spies that harm national security, cyber warfare) and implies the smooth proceeding of confidential matters, plus, a certain sense of glamour (Neptune) is cast upon leadership (Sun) with a bunch of Neptunian propaganda and lies to go with it.

Highlighted in orange is the Election's Prenatal Solar Eclipse (11th house) which perfects at Summer Solstice 2020 @00Can21 in the 4 North Saros Series of illusions, restraints (on voters?), misjudgments (of voters?), and separations. (This eclipse hints at a major post coming asap!) The election's Syzygy Moon (last lunation prior to Nov 3, 2020) is a Full Moon and is entered in 9th house @8Tau38--conjunct radical Uranus Rx at the Halloween Full Moon! Of course, Full and New Moons can act at times as if they are eclipses in a disruptive Uranian fashion, revealing secrets left and right (Full Moons: lunar eclipses, New Moons: solar eclipses) so we'll probably have some interesting tidbits, secrets, news, and gossip surface pre-Election under its rays of awareness and culmination--finances and investment are involved most likely with a Taurus Full Moon though issues concerning the environment, agriculture, and project development can be expected.

As for the Election Day 2020 chart we find 'voting' Mercury strong at Direct Station @25Libra55 in 3rd house (25Libra = cusp of the 17th Lunar Mansion, a critical degree). So it appears that by Election Day 2020, reassessing the then-current crop of politicians (such as they are!) has been completed and votes have been cast (assuming a sure-to-be-rigged election is held at all).

So who do the planets in this Election Day 2020 horoscope favor?

Going by the Venus Cycle upon which US Presidential Elections are based (those smarty pants Venus-worshiping Founders of ours--or was it Mason FDR when he changed the ceremony to January 20?), 2020 Venus in Libra indicates that the same party will remain in power, in the White House at least. Of course, how things will proceed after the 2020 Election must depend in large part on the results of the November 6, 2018 Midterms with its difficult Prenatal Solar Eclipse, The Tower @18Leo41 (rising in the charts you see here!)

Nodal Return a Time on Our Paths of New Alliances and Renewing Old Ties

Yes, the old order is collapsing (or is being collapsed by social tinkerers who think they know better--with buddies Trump and Putin as front-men) but be that as it may or may not be, the Election 2020 horoscope shows Trump's natal planets all over it--you see many of his planets marked in green--plus, on Election Day Trump will be in process of having a Nodal Return! If he's still around, that is. (The mean ones always seem to live forever, don't they?) Well, he didn't win the popular vote in 2016 (No Mandate from The People) but pretends he did--and the global imperative in 2020 remains 'the big picture must be followed, very little option to do otherwise' - 1993 Uranus-Neptune = tr Pluto, (Tyl) = "POLITICAL POWER...smug or strong-armed paternalism" (The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, Jones).
