Happy President's Day!

On Tuesday, February 21, 2012, a new cycle of activity and projects begins with a New Moon @ 3Pis42 in 7th house of Partnerships and Open Enemies when the horoscope is set for Washington DC. Perfecting on Tuesday at 5:34 pm est, one of the Royal Stars of Persia, Regulus 00Vir01 (success if revenge is avoided) rises, ASC 00Vir01.

At The Goal or WHY? Point of the chart (MC 25Tau12) are two stars associated with the Middle East (Capulus and Algol: rage!) so perhaps a new phase of action concerning US occupations in the region will be on display (MC) or is to be announced.

It's a Moon Hour, suitable for changes, fluctuations, and concerns of our daily lives, and chart-ruler Mercury 14Pis29 (7th H) conjoins another Fixed Star, Achernar, indicating a potential for crisis, particularly at the 'end of the river', or relating to liquids.


Mercury-Mars Tells the New Moon Tale

Mercury applies to only one aspect with another planet in the chart--Mars 17Vir47 Rx (at critical or crisis degree); Mercury rules 1st H as noted, 2nd H (cusp 23Vir41 which is conjoined by US natal Neptune and President Obama's natal Mars 22Vir35) showing some confusion, deception, or over promising in the area of Money (2/8 axis with Venus 15Ari56 inconjunct Mars---adjustments needed in Venusian evaluations v Mars reactions with Mars Rx)--and a crisis-degreed 11th H--cusp 29Gem42 showing stress in Groups and Associations.

An unaspected Uranus 2Ari45 is also posited in 7th H and once again conjoins asteroid Hermes (magician-trickster) so we may 'expect the unexpected' during the next two weeks with possibly a culmination or fulfillment at the next Full Moon.

Obviously the unaspected condition of disruptive, quirky planet Uranus means that anything may happen--early, late, or never--and this can be positive or negative. I think of the lady skier who survived the avalanche disaster--she pulled the cord on a new-fangled airbag and it saved her life--Uranus advances new-fangled technology and by its Sky rulership, relates to Air--my warm congratulations to her!

Since a chart-ruler's applying aspects tell us how things will proceed, I'm calling the Mercury-Mars opposition (3A19) across the 1/7 axis the main driver of this New Moon even though it is ruled by Jupiter and co-ruled by Neptune (the speculator-wastrel-grand schemes pair--and with Neptune in its sign of Pisces @ 00:42, what are the chances We the People are being shined on once again in economic matters? ("1 Pis" = "A Public Market", the symbol for America's Pre-Natal Eclipse degree 00Pi33; this gives a potential Sun/Moon = Neptune picture of deception, delusions, discontent, mistakes, misunderstandings, shared suffering, and/or undermined relationships for the US.)


Jupiter and Pluto's Last Exact Trine March 9

Of course, the Big Banking-Fed combo of Jupiter 5Tau38 (in the Jolly One's own house of Philosophy and Education) and Pluto 8Cap58 (in 5th H of Risk-Taking, Gambling, and Children) are trining one another helpfully so opportunities abound for finances, perhaps in banking and almost assuredly in campaign funding. However, as ruler of Sagittarius, Jupiter rules the 5th H at a critical-crisis 29th degree (29Sag42--'30Sag' = "The Pope Blessing the Faithful"--and Pluto in one guise = "The Pope" so any 2012 candidates of the Catholic persuasion come to mind.)

Oppositions always denote relationship and/or awareness issues; thinking Mercury opposing action-taking Mars (still Rx, so the planet of conflict is reacting and reviewing Mercurial plans more than acting at the moment) indicates restless impatience, mental superiority that may cause others to feel threatened, and a tendency to quarrel when compromise would achieve more positive results for everyone involved.

However, there will be others provoking confrontations and conflicts, lots of criticism, and a lack of popularity that issues from such cantankerous behavior. If Mars Rx can refuse to argue (Mr. Obama's Mars Return still in progress with its third and last conjunction June 18, 2012), then things can be resolved especially since there is much mental acuity and, when made steadier by maturity, an ability to listen to others before making or acting on decisions.

(We'll see the results of what's under consideration now once Mars turns Direct and begins moving forward--often with an unexpected or surprising burst of Martian energy. Mars' Direct Station @ 3Vir41 occurs on April 13, 2012 at 11:52 pm edt--opposite this New Moon.)

Don't draw conclusions until all sides of an issue have been expressed or considered, and try 'playing dumb' under the Mercury-Mars opposition; diplomacy is a must since burning bridges with others is stupid for their cooperation may be needed later--and watch how one 'says things', too--what good advice for all 2012 candidates--and for opinionated, dissenting-American bloggers like me!

Lately we hear a lot about 'super' things in our society but not being a sports fan these last several years, I totally missed this year's Super Bowl broadcast, the commercials, and the much-touted Half Time Show which, according to Mark Dice, was replete with all the Illuminati symbolism the New World Order crowd could supply bwo rock music 'stars' acting like 'goddesses' for the public's edification--and which caused millions of viewers to, in effect, worship their lousy luciferian symbols.




Note Mark's comments near video's end concerning President Obama signing the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012 (aka, NDAA) on New Year's Eve while we (well, you) were partyin' on down in celebration--not of losing provisions in our Bill of Rights, but of Year 2012, when some say our feathers are scheduled to hit some kind of Venusian/Sunspot fan.

Searching for the precise time of the bill's signing has proven fruitless though Mr. Obama is said to have signed it in private (aka, secret) on 'December 31, 2011'--so as long as we're thinking along Satanic/Illuminati lines, why not look at 11:11 pm est?

Which sign, degree, and planet were rising at the White House on December 31, 2011 at 11:11 pm?, you may ask. Here are two Angular considerations involving midpoints of combined planetary energies to consider:

11:11 pm est ASC 26Vir44; Mars 20:09 rising with Fixed Star Denebola ('to go against society'--ya think?) which puts President Obama's ongoing Mars Return 2012 well within the bill's Surveillance and Motivation spotlight.

Of course, you know that America's natal and Secondary Progressed Neptune rises as well since he and we have that 'rock star' Mars/Neptune conjunction between us where veils cover Mr. Obama's motivations and actions from We the People's clear view. A midpoint picture is thus created at 11:11 pm:

Mars/Neptune = ASC: strong mental focus on subtle ways to coerce or compel others into adopting your ideas.

Descriptive enough for you? Maybe fear-mongering is a large part of the bill's objective. Works for me!

Now there are many interesting chart factors for the late evening of Dec 31, 2011 which I have no time to discuss today but I do want to mention another one which is also Angular (and thus, has room and place for expressing its energies--this one is all too descriptive of what's being done against the rights, liberties, and lives of the American people with the NDAA.)

Mars/Uranus = MC (The Goal) 26Gem17: "putting a pistol to someone's head"; an act of violence; the execution of drastic and violent measures; injury; an operation; an extraordinary achievement (Ebertin); new approaches to effecting social changes of lifestyles (of the poor and droned?); approval given for work done while pushing for modernization (Munkasey.)

The Political potentials for the explosive Mars/Uranus duo:

Thesis: reforming a military organization; changes within the armed forces of a nation; unplanned military actions.

Antithesis: malice, unrest, and violence (drones to watch over actions of the Occupy Movement and other protesters?); radical movements within the military; rebellion against modernization efforts; sudden attacks or outbreaks of hostility (what Washington fears?)

Then there's the planet of bills and signings (also chart-ruler), Mercury 20Sag04 in 3rd house (11:11 pm est) squaring Mars in 12th H of Politics, Behind-the-Scenes deals, Karma, and Self-Undoing which, since Mars is is process of returning to natal position in Mr. Obama's horoscope, represents the president himself--signing the bill 'privately' behind-the-scenes, out of public view.

Mercury SQ Mars denotes many things on various levels such as Mercury (young people; reporters/bloggers; Occupiers/protesters, etc) being blocked (SQ) by Mars (Obama, and military combatants and activists) which describes drone surveillance across America. Alternately, Mars is blocked by Mercury showing on one level that the president will find himself in conflict with others because he signed a bill containing the Bill-of-Rights-denying provision for drones with the notions of one man in the White House marking American citizens for arrest, imprisonment, or death--from the sky. (See a dollar bill if you have one--the Eye in the Sky is watching over each and every one, more than ever.)

Of course, you know that I don't believe a US president is in full control of his actions and policies any more if indeed they ever were. Illuminati-transnational monetary globalists are behind this bill and they mean to stifle dissent in the US over their totalitarian vision, for one thing. Their meddling is part of what's behind Internet censorship like SOPA as well so I'd better finish this post while I still can.

And then the Sun 10Cap08 (the UK's natal Sun) remains near transiting Pluto 7Cap20 so it isn't surprising that when I moved the chart to 11:59 pm to see the last dregs of 2011, the IC (Foundation of the Matter; Endings) became 7Cap20, a precise conjunction with spying Pluto at 7Cap20--Mr. Underworld of Invisible Helmet fame, the mysterious, subversive, controlling, fear-mongering actor at the base of the matter.

Curiously, Pluto's position at '8Cap' has a telling *Sabian Symbol, imho:

'8Cap' = "Birds in the House Singing Happily" which to my mind links to US natal Pluto @ '28Cap'..."A Large Aviary", and this I take to denote a happy Pentagon now able to rub out any US citizen it wants for reasons unknown--"legally."

Yet if you question why I mix the Pentagon, Pluto, and 'A Large Aviary' into one abusive clump, check out a must-read article Planet Earth as Weapon and Target by the excellent Leuren Moret, if you haven't.

Yes, it's a difficult read to be sure, but we're dealing with very difficult people whose interests Do Not Mix with those of us who much prefer to keep a sovereign America and our freedom documents intact, thanks very much.

Speaking of abuse of power, did you hear that Rep. Spencer Bachus is under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for insider trading while he's been allegedly 'overseeing' financial institutions who donate mightily to his campaign chest?

Mm-hmm. Foxes are guarding our hen house, yall. But it's doubtful Mr. Bachus has very much to worry about for the 'Ethics' Committee has become quite toothless and gummy these days unless this becomes a situation in which his alleged lack of integrity cannot be denied or swept under a congressional rug.

Now that our 2012 election year has arrived, why not compare and contrast the personality blends of the 2012 candidates: Obama, Gingrich, Romney, and Santorum? This may be quite easily accomplished by considering each of their Sun (adult; conscious mind) and Moon (child; the unconscious) combinations through their signs, elements, and modes.

Rick Santorum's birth hour is unknown to me ('noon' is used), Gingrich's birth time seems to be somewhat in question ('born in middle of night'; 11:45 pm or 3:00 am are often used; June 17, 1943 Harrisburg, PA), Mitt Romney's is said to be correct (LDS maintain major genealogical records, as you know, so correct birth certificates must be especially prized, I would think; March 12, 1947 9:51 am est Detroit, MI), and Mr. Obama's hour, date, and place of birth seem to have been settled upon: August 4, 1961 Honolulu, Hawaii @ 7:24 pm AHST.)

Yet because Mr. Santorum's Moon remained in Aquarius for the 24-hour period of his birth, his natal Sun/Moon blend is not in dispute. 'Wild Card' Eclipses of November 2011 and May 2012

November 2011 and May 2012 Eclipses Spotlight Mercury/Jupiter

The current Solar Eclipse from the 14 North Saros Series in which events are occurring manifested on November 25, 2011 at 2Sag37 ('a peculiar turn of events') and the next Solar Eclipse will occur on May 20, 2012 at 00Gem21, opposite the November 2011 eclipse.

In between the two Solar Eclipses fell a Lunar Eclipse on December 10, 2011 at 18Gem11 triggering America's natal Mars in Gemini.

You remember that the November 2011 Solar Eclipse occurred within two days of the deadline of the so-called 'Super' Committee of 12 congressional elites who came to no agreement concerning their debt reduction duties, an outcome which is to trigger automatic cuts for which no single US politician may be blamed. (They think they're so slick, don't they?!)

So we haven't heard the last of the budget reduction negotiations with the American people still being held hostage to austerity promoters who are attempting to starve the baby before tossing it out with the bathwater--and the 'baby' is a sovereign and solvent America.

That austerity measures (against those who can ill afford further reductions) used as financial 'solutions' hasn't worked in Europe seems not to trouble US conservatives--or maybe they're hoping the American people won't notice the glaring obviousness by Election Day 2012.

In fact, US economist Joseph Stiglitz says that "European austerity plans are a suicide pact" that collapses economies. Well, duh! That's a major objective of the Global Governance agenda, as I've groused here many times before--to collapse the global economy and build it back in the image of the totalitarian model they prefer (the mark of the beast?), aka, a New World Order.

So with eclipses being the 'wild cards' of the Universe and since we're poised upon the spotlighted Gem/Sag axis as I type, the influences of sign rulers Mercury (Gem) and Jupiter (Sag) are active within the Collective until Solar Eclipse polarities switch emphasis to the Taurus/Scorpio (Venus/Mars-Pluto) axis with the Solar Eclipse of November 13, 2012 at 22Scorpio (more on that eclipse later.) Yet even then, one more Lunar Eclipse will manifest at 7Gemini on November 28, 2012 thus wrapping up our Gem/Sag lessons until year 2020.


Let's consider the Mercury/Jupiter combination of energies which now color many of the events and issues of 2012.

When Mercury (thinking processes, communications, senses, oration, etc) combines with Jupiter (expansion principle, growth, abundance, largess, faith, ideology, philosophy, relating, etc) an interesting dynamic is described as their planetary energies are combined and strengthened. Naturally, all things mercurial are increased by Jupiter's touch and a wealth of ideas often results. Common sense, the intellect, optimism, erudition (especially in retirement or solitude), plans for gorwth, and constructive thinking are on the menu, along with enthusiasm (for ill or good!)

On the negative side, over-stretching or ignoring boundaries and verbosity are possibilities along with a potential for exaggeration or over-embellishment which makes Washington's euphemism for their habit of telling lies--to misspeak--is prominent as well though it's difficult to imagine when falsehoods are not one of their favored tactics to get what they want by hook or crook. And some of them are or have been on the shady side including those who hide their fortunes in the darkened shade of palm tree tax shelters like the Cayman Islands, as Mitt Romney is now reported to do.

Perhaps the news that Rick Santorum actually won in Iowa rather than Mitt Romney is a Mercury/Jupiter case in point with Mercury relating to voting and Jupiter to numbers or tallies.

As you know, austerity is the province of planet Saturn, and together, Jupiter and Saturn are known as our societal planets for their constant stand-off between Saturnian restriction and Jupiterian expansion describes one of society's greatest needs: balance between opposing forces to create stability, the yin-yang of our dualistic world.

And in Mundane Astrology (with this blog concerned with its sub-category, Political Astrology), Jupiter and Saturn may be used to signify America's two political parties (between which many people see little difference--I tend to think of them as factions of warring ideologies more than actually differing parties especially since they've made everything an Us v Them/class warfare stand-off.)

Now not every mundane astrologer agrees with me on this, but I use Jupiter to represent the Republican Party ('Grand' Old Party of the wealthy--as Harry Truman said of them at the 1948 DNC, they're the party of "special interests--always have been and always will be"), and Saturn for the Democrats (being the older of the two parties, a little dour at times, and not as flamboyantly theatrical--with a few exceptions through the years. Republicans do like to leave Dems with Saturn's accountability, don't they? Takes the heat off the GOP, they hope.)

Now if everyone in Washington played fairly and were open about their true allegiances, perhaps the balance we sorely need, so wistfully expected by America's founders through 'checks and balances' provisions, would be easier to maintain than we currently experience. However, ideological forces within and without our government are at work and have been since America's first cry and before.

Let's hope and pray that We the People will continue waking up to Washington's machinations and mummeries in time to Save Our Republic for we cannot automatically assume that national politicians will do so as they jockey for top positions within the devilish New World Order.

Plus, President Obama is now within his three-fer Mars Return 2012, a two-year cycle of new activity which began for him on January 14, 2012. The recent smoke bomb tossed over the White House fence garnered the president a Martian calling card and I'm glad that he and Michelle were having dinner at a restaurant down the street and were in no danger, with 'smoke' ruled by Neptune, and Mr. Obama's natal Mars 22Vir35 sitting directly upon US natal Neptune 22:25.

Neptune in Pisces = Pineal Gland concerns?

Neptune in Pisces, the Pineal Gland, and Our Dissolving Willpower

Since boundary-dissolving Neptune will soon dip its toe once again into the deep waters of Pisces (on or about February 3, 2012) for a long-winded swim (until 2024/25), the planet's astrological association with the human body's light-affected pineal gland ('third eye'/intuitive function) seems due for quite a bit of attention since we will be affected on a global scale.

An increase of environmental issues and damages to lose sleep over may be noted as our brains' melatonin production lowers and may need a *supplemental boost.

Studies show calcification in the pineal gland from use of fluoridated water as noted in Fluoride: Calcifier of the Soul, an interesting title considering Neptune's link to spirituality and The Divine Source, as denoted in Astrology.

Recent travels of Chiron (the Wounded Healer; the Wound) in tandem with transiting Neptune brought us the earthquake/tsunami in Japan and the Fukushima Nuclear Meltdown in 2011 with radiation continuing in 2012 to leak into the Pacific Ocean, the realm of Neptune. Thus the boundaries of our DNA are weakened and breached on a cellular level, and environmental issues become more confusing yet more critical for all of mankind.

Of course, calcification is a Saturnian process, a hardening, and the blend of Saturn with Neptune indicates 'the chronic and unhampered progress of malady, organic decomposition, undermining circumstances that lead to illness', says Ebertin, along with 'poor, sick, depressed persons' and 'diseases with causes difficult to ascertain'. Along with the pineal gland, Ebertin also gives Neptune as representing the
solar plexus, the power and will chakra, and paralysis, and Neptune in Pisces as: reserve, an inclination to mysticism, reverie and artistic pursuits; the inner or psychic life open to external influences, pessimism, a craving for alcohol, nicotine, etc, pathological tendencies and inclinations'.

So though society's artistic creativity will flourish, it seems that many people's power and will may become weaker with Neptune in Pisces though perhaps knowing this may help us guard against much of the dissolution. Drugs, including alcohol, won't help matters, only increase the weakening effects upon The Collective of a Piscean Neptune and the secretive forces of destruction which beset us.

An increase in paranoia will be part of the Piscean Neptune picture as well.

And of course you're familiar with Neptune's link to poisons, toxins, and contagions with its 'urge to merge' tendency relating to the dissolving of Saturnian boundaries, as noted above.


Yes, We've Dreamed This Dream Before...

History repeats in similar if not exact ways so astrologers tend to look back to the last time a planet entered a sign to see past effects, and with Neptune to 00Pisces, that would be 1847--off and on from April 1847 to December 7, 1848 due to the gaseous planet's frequent retrogradation periods. (Neptune's cycle lasts approximately 164 years.) This historical info hints at what sort of trends and conditions to expect during the current planetary transit.


Neptunian Events 1847

Several events listed for 1847 have Neptunian flavors to them. One such is July 10 when Leverrier and Adams, the co-discoverers of Neptune, met for the first time at the home of John Herschel, son of William Herschel, discoverer of erratic Uranus (1781.)

The association of these men creates a time link between the planets of The Enlightenment, Uranus and Neptune, by way of human beings and their astronomical activities and encounters.

Then there's July 24, when Brigham Young and his Mormon followers schlepped into the Salt Lake City, Utah area with Neptune as a spiritual indicator and significator of bodies of water--this one full of Saturnian salts!


Neptunian Events 1848

Plus, some events of 1848 resonate closely with our Neptunian topics as well: James Knox Polk became the first president in office to be photographed, one of Neptune's filmy, glamorous roles (the 'silver screen'; the arts; illusion.)

On February 26, 1848, Marx and Engels (with the backing of --?--) published the Communist Manifesto, a grand bit of Neptunian propaganda with its Saturn/Neptune 'Communism' element (Saturn = government and control, Neptune = invisible, or secret--things We the People know a little about in the US with both planets elevated in our nation's July 4, 1776 horoscope set for 5:10 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA.)

Another example occurred on May 29, 1848 when the flow of Niagara Falls ceased for 30 hours because of an ice jam which describes cold Saturn's crystallization (hardening) process acting upon a liquid (Neptune.)

Then on May 30, 1848, children could rejoice over the patenting of the ice cream freezer by William G. Young--yummy liquids hardened into flavorful, cooling treats.

But perhaps one of the more ironic events of 1848 occurred on June 26 when the first pure food law was passed in the United States. That its laudable attempts at protecting the American people have been adulterated through the decades making 'food and drug safety' in the US debatable (if it exists at all) is a Neptunian disappointment of toxic proportions and we are certain to hear more revelations of poisonings by the food, agricultural, nuclear, chemical, and other industries as Neptune lumbers slowly through its own watery realm of Pisces.

Of course, there's also the well-known connection of astrological Pluto to nuclear power, control, and waste disposal--and pipelines-- but today's post is written in honor of Neptune making a tremendously important ingress into its own sign which will soon come to pass whether we're ready or not.


With 2012 Upon Us

Naturally, the projected construction (Saturn) of Canada's Keystone XL Pipeline comes to mind with its potentials for gas and chemical leaks and the controversial, chemically-infused fracking process which threatens US water sources if the pipeline is built. Neptune's use as A Veil for secrets is on tap along with its scandalous implications of Neptunian fraud, deceit, and neglectful policies that can easily lead to lousy maintenance conditions and even to sabotage.

My personal conclusion about these difficult issues is that anything we can do to boost our and our family members' immune systems should be on top of our 2012 agenda! And please note these cautions: be careful when participating in water sports and when traveling in, on, or over bodies of water for mysterious conditions may be present--and beware gas leaks and oily schemers...

The upcoming US-Israeli war maneuvers are being touted by both governments as the world's biggest ever!

And certain transglobal warmongering chaos-creators actually seem happy over this dramatic turn of events which the US government in collusion with most of Congress and the business and weapons industries will soon remind us of the heady days when Dubs Bush lied us into war in Iraq and his case turned out to hinge on the credibility of Colin Powell's U.N. presentation.

And on Americans wanting to believe in their president's motives in spite of all evidence not supporting our trust.

So who do you think will play the 'Colin Powell-respected military leader' role in 2012 as Washington stirs itself into a tizzy over Iran's intentions (so they say) and imagines it has convinced the American people of some very deluded, fevered visions of the 1% Gang who are apparently "riding again" and wanting to force We the People into yet another Vulcan hellishness of an illegal, vulgar war--as if that little expansion project would be a good and sane idea.

But who benefits most?

Well, any of the two or three American citizens reading this post who are not recognizing Washington's military campaign for what it is--a long term attempt at Global Governance directed by entities abroad (ex: Citizens United 2010 brings big time foreign investors into US elections, aka, meddling), please stop reading here because I am truly done. Below is a horoscope of the May 20, 2012 Solar Eclipse @00Gem21 in the 14 South Saros Series(details below)--at 7:46:58 pm edt, White House, with Venus 23Gem25 Rx and out-of-bounds of the earthly plane with OOBs being an indicator of unusual success--and/or lawless actions. This is a South Node eclipse so energy tends to leave the scene rather than gather and 00Gem21 falls in 7th house in Washington DC denoting the beginning of new phases in Partnerships, Open Enemies, and/or Legal Affairs.

However, since all eclipses operate as 'wild cards of the Universe', the chance for unexpected happenings in these areas should not be dismissed too readily.

Actually there are other planet-to-star links; here are the ones that seem most prominent to me:

Leading the entire chart is the closest planet to an Angle, Jupiter 24Tau56, which sets (DESC 24Tau57) and conjoins Capulus (in constellation Perseus: intense male energy; rage), Algol (intense female passion; rage; in China: 'piled up corpses'; both stars are traditionally linked to the Middle East.) As you know, whatever Jupiter touches grows, revs up, expands, or increases in some way though we may hope that Jupiter's protective quality intercedes with benefits.

ASC 24Sco57: Rising is Fixed Star Agena (Beta Centaurus; the pain of learning; the horse's belly in southern constellation Centaurus which holds Lupus, the Wolf, in his outstretched hand, and has religious connotations, says Bernadette Brady. Anthony Louis adds potentials for: high status, honors, good organizers, scandal, gossip, sensuality, sarcasm, cleverness, and/or success with the masses.)

At IC 7Pis01 along with Fomalhaut (a Royal Star of Persia, Watcher of the South: humanitarianism, mysticism, pure ideals but a downfall if integrity is not upheld (too late for most Washington politicians!) is oceanic, dissolving Neptune 3Pis06 at IC (Homeland; Domestic Scene; Real Estate) along with Chiron 9Pis31 and with both snugged around the IC (aka, The Drain), I can't help but think of the criminal BP-Deepwater Horizon Blowout of 2010 and the ready potential for more oil spills, leaks, and the sabotage of the environment which results.

The forced-upon-the-American-people Keystone XL Pipeline construction may also be indicated--and it makes me mad as a wet hen. You? The number of US jobs it 'creates' will be negligible and temporary at best though they are loudly touted by liars of a transnational corporate persuasion.

Plus, Real Estate instability continues to undermine (Neptune) our housing market (IC/4th H) and valuations (Venus in duplicitous Gemini conjunct 8th cusp of Money) unless some measure of integrity (Fomalhaut) is restored to our mortgage and banking industries (IC v 8th H.) Venus also conjoins US natal Mars in Gemini which motivates our desires for beauty, pleasant travels, and the quest for attainment of possessions.

As you see, quirky and disruptive Uranus 7Ari26 has just entered 4th H from 5th H showing that sudden events may occur in the matters ruled by both houses (already mentioned) and including 3rd H with Aquarius on its cusp. Naturally, the Occupy Wall Street movement and its offshoots spring to mind (political Uranus in Mars-ruled Aries--and Mars/Uranus energies won't be denied!)

Also, the 3rd cusp 00AQ50 conjoins US Inaugural Sun and Mercury Rx of Jan 20, 2009 so will President Obama deliver another speech around the time of the May 20, 2012 Solar Eclipse? It will be no surprise, if so.

Now with North Node (NN) in 1st house and ruled by lucky Jupiter, some sort of attainment may be possible for a 1st house NN is a fortunate placement and shows self-development on the upswing, therefore, the Jupiter-ruled IC of Real Estate may benefit. Yet more negatively, both ends of the Nodal axis lie within the 'nuclear degrees' of early Gem/Sag.

Of further benefit, Saturn 23Lib45 Rx in 11th H is near two rather nice stars, Arcturus and Spica, The Spike, or The Wheat Sheaf: bounty and harvest. Keywords for Arcturus (Alpha Bootes; pathfinder); and Spica (Alpha Virgo; honor and fame; gifts to mankind; Spica links to artists, musicians, writers, and scientists--B. Brady.)

Additionally, there are fortunate karmic or fated conditions to be set in motion by the Venus/Saturn trine--fated because both planets are at 23 degrees. Venus trine Saturn shows such potentials as: aid for the needy (humanitarianism), practical talents, and a sense of order and balance. (Venus rules Libra where Saturn is exalted.)

So with Saturn as significator of the Democratic Party (in my book, though some say it's Jupiter for Dems but I use Mr. Moneybags to represent the Grand Old Party of Special Interests and Jupiterian Corporations), maybe Democrats will carry on with the stand taken with congressional Republicans by President Obama during December 2011 on behalf of the 99%. That the 1% could possibly need more help than they already profit by 24/7 is impossible to believe!)

Senior statesmen or experienced diplomats are other possibilities for a Libran Saturn nestled in the House of Friends, Groups, Hopes and Wishes...perhaps someone of a mature description will step forward to ease our nation's more difficult circumstances relating to Venus and 8th H matters of Debt, Credit, and Too-Big Corporations.


Chart-Rulers Tell a Tale Going Forward

Always of import to how things will proceed from the energies of a horoscope are the applying aspects of the chart's ruler or rulers and here they are Mars and Pluto (bwo a Scorpio Ascendant.)

Yet activist/protester Mars makes no applying aspects to any planets at all in this chart so the house position, sign, and degree of Mars (conjunct depressive Zosma) are primary influences concerning events or conditions brought by this eclipse and may express most fully within the houses ruled by Mars (Aries on 5th cusp showing Risk-Taking, Gambling, Creative Pursuits, and Children's Issues--and 1st house of Self/Physical Body/Initiating Matters.

In addition, the Mars/MC combination reveals the promotion of paranoia for control of the people (an old tactic used by all governments--the US gov has perfected it), and possible military action (see Nodal axis degrees.)

However, as co-ruler, 2nd house Pluto applies to the frustrating square with progressive Uranus (1A44) after forming a square-within-a-square aspect to Mercury (135 degr; 1A35) showing minor irritants yet possibilities for dynamic and constructive action between the powers-that-be (Pluto) and the mercurial actors and issues previously mentioned. Across the 2/8 Money/Values axis are America's Cancer planets (Venus, Jupiter, Sun, and Mercury Rx) which are all intercepted in the 8th house of Corporations, Big Business, and Transformation which shows the karmic (reap what's sown) conditions under which we toil and gives our nation's planets in Cancer and Capricorn 'no outlet' for expression, at least not for a while after the eclipse manifests. For as with other horoscopes, progression brings change and Time waits for no man's or nation's horoscope.

If you have your Dec-Jan 2012 issue or online access to The Mountain Astrologer, then you've probably already read editor Tem Tarriktar's overview Peak Moments of 2012 and Forecast for Each Sign which begins by emphasizing the 8-month transit of Mars in Mercury-ruled Virgo.

Actually, our upcoming martian tale began on November 10, 2011 when Mars first entered Virgo, Mutable sign of discrimination, health, dedicated work, and 'the exploitation of every situation' (Ebertin) and is a sign and constellation intimately linked to the natal horoscope of America, circa 1776, and to goddess Ceres (Demeter) which is associated with grain, food supplies, nurturing, abundance, and protection.

US natal Ceres 8Pis41 Rx (unfortunately for the American people) conjoins to the degree our natal Pluto/Chiron midpoint (8:50), the duo of Plutocracy and oppression. Thus we see the massive efforts of the last several decades to control, adulterate, and chemically toxify the US food supply by plutocrats and corporate titans with greedy globalist dreams.

Testy Mars Stations Retrograde on US Neptune

Coming soon to a 2012 Cosmos near you is a strong Station Retrograde by Mars @ 23 Virgo (Jan 23) which conjoins a while US natal Neptune 22Vir25. This is the 'keep a low and cautious profile' transit that can inspire unwise decisions and misguided actions, things the American people have tired of groaning over since Washington so seldom listens to We The People--especially when it comes to waging war.

Quarrels, confusion, diversions, and misunderstandings abound whenever Mars squares natal Neptune--on one level a planet of spirituality yet also a planet of deceit, fraud, loss, and disappointment. So we may expect precisely the most contentious and deceptive election year that everyone has been dreading.

Efforts become murky, undermined, or eroded, and getting to the bottom of mysterious events can be next to impossible if it's possible at all. 'Who did what to whom and why' will continue to be perplexing--with the media (Neptune) implicated in most of the ruses. And of course, later in 2012, the visit of Mars to US natal Neptune in Virgo will recur which stretches 2012 into an entire smoke-and-mirrors Mars/Neptune year for the US.

Sad to say, the 'fog' (Neptune) of war (Mars) wafts upon the breeze of 2012 for any transit to US natal Neptune naturally kicks up trouble with America's problematic Mars/Neptune square of misguided, subversive, ineffectual, too-wide-a-target--or inspired--energy. So Mars at Station Rx will square our natal Mars (Virgo to Gemini), a time when physical actions are blocked (square = 90 degrees), obstacles appear intractable, and relationships with males are stressed out or broken.

Outrageously, the US government's lies into war tactic against Iran is already being promoted for as I type, excuses are being fabricated, plus, our natal Mars/Neptune square perfectly hints at Iran's threatened blockage of the Straits of Hormuz which would limit US and global oil supplies by about 1/6 with 'oil' one of Neptune's favorite liquids. The year-long Mars triggerings concur with this blockage scenario.

The Mars SQ Mars transit adds anger and rage to America's foggy Mars/Neptune scenario, and indicates a tense time when indecision adds to uncertainty and aggressive actions may be taken in spite of the evidence.

2012 Marked (or Stained?) by US Elections

By Election Day November 6, 2012, out-of-bounds Mars will reach 21Sag49 and squares US natal Neptune (Sag to Vir) while opposing US n Mars in Gemini, a period when others are totally against our actions and purposes, and heads (Mars!) are bashed against proverbial brick walls. A sense of wasted energy and effort permeates the atmosphere under this transit as others apply an equal amount of force against us in response to American aggression. As you can tell, this is not good.

Yes, Mars in Sagittarius squaring US n Neptune denotes much confusion in the environment due to lack of organization and the poor execution of plans; logic may be missing altogether and for many, a concerted effort must be made to avoid laziness--though plenty of rationalization occurs to explain actions or lack of action in hopes of deflecting criticism while avoiding external interference.

Watch events around the New Moon of December 13, 2012 @ 21Sag45 which emphasizes the action and energy of election Mars at that degree: will election results only then be determined?

Now the pre-natal eclipse Series of Election Day 2012 is very telling but will have to be addressed more fully in a separate post concerning the Solar Eclipse of May 20, 2012 @ 00Gem21 in the 14 South Saros Series which has a Mercury/Pluto (propaganda, surveillance, obsessive ideas) flavor to it. Perhaps enlightening info may be obtained regarding '2012 in America' transits by noting the symbol for US n Neptune's degree found in Adrian Carelli's book The 360 Degrees of the Zodiac with its historical and political references which are often applicable to modern day topics.

Keeping in mind the astrological meanings of planet Neptune (god of the seas and purveyor of idealistic dreams), I shall type for you Carelli's Symbol and interpretation for '23 Virgo' and include his historical info for this degree as well since I believe it applies directly to America as the 'New World' of historical Utopians:

That Long-Standing Utopian Dream

Here on SO'W, it's been previously noted that years ago Terence McKenna predicted a "transcendent object" that would enthrall and capture our attention in the New Millennium. Perhaps we may agree that SmartPhones, iPads, and other tech gadgets perfectly fulfill McKenna's prophecy especially when you consider how many of us keep our faces stuck to various touch screen displays even while walking around (or driving--now stop that! No one is that much of a multi-tasker so please get wise to your bad self.)

Since Mr. McKenna--author, lecturer, teacher, and researcher into human consciousness including psychedelia--was correct in his futuristic prediction, I'm posting an audio presentation of him speaking that is perhaps an appropriate vehicle to putter us into Year 2012 which begins on Sunday morning January 1, 2012 at 12:00:01 am est with Sun in Capricorn, Moon in Aries.

2012: Burning Faith v Strong Skepticism

Sun Cap/Moon Aries is an Earth-Fire blend, a 'practical visionary' combination of energies that sees its main chance yet keeps its feet on the ground. This combo knows 'when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em' so we'll see if 2012 resembles that remark as the months go by--and of course, we think of presidential candidates who hopefully will know when their race is over and it's time to give up their campaigns.

The intensely willful and ambitious Sun Cap/Moon Aries blend (a hardworking Mars/Saturn-infused concoction) describes a paradoxical mixture: establishment types v rebels determined to rewrite rules and regulations. Naturally, movements such as Occupy Wall Street and Move To Amend (Citizens United) spring to mind as examples of Leaders v The People, or, the 1% v 99% debate. Possibly newer movements will form during 2012 as well.

Capricorn contains Saturn's imperative to rule while Aries has the emphatic drive and determination of Mars as sign ruler (and Moon in Aries = I AM the people. Personally, I believe that no law officer should be issued pepper spray to use against peaceful citizens until he has been sprayed full-faced with the chemical weapon himself to see how his lungs and eyesight fare.)

Yes, Sun SQ Moon is a 'chip on shoulder' indicator so stand-offs concerning strikes, protests, unemployment issues, and ego games will continue to be in the news across the land; plus, the fighting attitude remains in Washington with a serious misalignment between desires and what people are willing to do to satisfy them.

And the Sun/Moon square from Capricorn to Aries echoes the current transit of Pluto (Cap) square Uranus (Aries), a frustrating phase in the Uranus/Pluto (revolts, riots, revolutions, explosions, major changes) cycle which began in the mid-1960s @ 17 Virgo, a crisis-critical degree.

Controlling Sun v Angry Moon!

Sun Cap/Moon Aries in particular evokes the image of a steamroller with the mental abilities and skills of a criminal lawyer. 'On to Further Conquests' is the gist of our 2012 Cap/Aries beginnings with its larger-than-life goals. This is a picture of single-mindedness which may easily end up emotionally and spiritually bankrupt (some say US government officials and most of our politicians are already that. Agreed.)

As you might expect, material rewards and business success by the shrewd will be a theme of 2012; brusqueness, insensitivity to others' needs, a restless, constant desire for excitement and challenge, and a tendency to be a sore loser will also mark many of the personalities and events of 2012.

To me it seems that the anger, rage, and discontent held within the Jan 1, 2012 Sun-Moon square are primarily prompted by the ongoing corruption within the ruling Capricorn structures of society because Cap's ruler, Saturn, is never amused by being dissed--disrespected--by incorrect behavior and corruption which leave Saturn's responsibilities unfulfilled and shuns its sense of accountability, two facets of Saturn and its sign Capricorn which cannot be ignored or neglected without a heavy price being attached.

Mercury opposite Pluto is an aspect replete with deep anxieties! It makes people (and government) feel that all is in a state of crisis until more and more information can be obtained. So what about the fabled Orwellian year 1984 and its background influences provided by the two Solar Eclipses of that year? Well, for one thing, both eclipses occurred at significant degrees:

1. May 30, 1984 @ '9Gemini' conjunct US natal Uranus 8Gem55--progressive, radical planet of Technology and The Future. This eclipse fell in the 4 North Saros Series which began on May 25, 1389 (OS) @ 12Gem08--conjunct natal Descendant in the US natal Sibly chart (July 4, 1776 5:10 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA.)

4N brings a difficult time of restriction, separation, restraint, and illusions with events that block individuals who then are prone to misjudging strengths of self and/or situation; waiting until the eclipse influences passes before taking any real action is advisable.

4N last manifested on June 10, 2002 @ '20Gem' during the Bush-Cheney regime--conjunct US natal Mars; 4N next occurs in the difficult year of 2020 at a propitious moment at Summer Solstice--June 21, 2020 @ '00Cancer', a World Point of Manifestation which was triggered at Summer Solstice 2001 @ '00Cancer'--the Pre-Natal Eclipse of 9/11/01.

This is one of the reasons that some astrologers including this one, consider the year 2020 to be a watershed opportunity for global despotism. The 4N Series links 2020 to 1984 through a cosmic conduit that runs directly through 2001 and thus to the perpetual war events, surveillance outrages, and undemocratic legislation that resulted and which bedevil us still.

One year of austerity measures enacted in Britain has only contracted the UK economy as foretold and pushed Brits into the streets en masse. The UK government's social experiment has brought no real improvement to economic and social conditions across the pond and a worsening is apparent. Can Washington take a hint? Yes--except for political flies in the ointment who want a different course for the American people that follows the UK's example.

If you feel yourself drifting toward voting Republican on November 6, 2012, please read Robert Reich on The Rebirth of Social Darwinism before you leave the house.

For if you've paid attention to the never-ending Republican 'debates', their views mimic "survival of the fittest" ideals, a fact that amazes me for some of them seem to profess a Christian belief system--and Social Darwinism is hardly what an honest person would choose to promote Christian values such as being one's brother's keeper with Charity as a virtue to which we should all aspire.

What kind of America do We The People want?

Well, the Golden Rule is honored in these parts though it's become quite old-fashioned in Washington DC--certainly on Capitol Hill. Do Unto Others As You'd Have Them Do Unto You? Then voting for a ragmop as long as it isn't Republican will be preferable to voting for those who take an oath higher than their oath to the US Constitution and ignore their vow to serve the populace. Being voted out of power would be suitable for all underminers of America who wish to shove your Granny out on the sidewalk--that's one way to identify them and their true intentions.

What you do with and for Granny is totally up to you once she's evicted with her benefits cut. Plus, you'll be fighting to merely survive yourself in a GOP-infused America which is determined with its drastic austerity measures (and gifts to the wealthy) to mire the American people in their old Robber Baron dream from the late 1880s and 90s.

Election 2012 looms large. Capitol Hill catcalls that "Politics is broken" simply isn't an acceptable excuse after all our forefathers did and sacrificed to set up this nation.

Yet America would benefit most from new and improved Politics so let's Occupy Everywhere!

The Essence of Newt: closest applying aspect to natal Sun

Now the only applying aspect to natal Sun is a square from Neptune indicating early confusion with his identity (teen parents separated just after his birth, stepfather adopted him; grew up in a military household.) This is an aspect of a self-deceiver par excellence (US president? Really?) with an unconscious desire for importance which is tamped down a little by a strong Saturn, here in Gemini, which gives him a logical mind. Plus, Saturn and Mars are in sextile (endurance, fortitude, practicality), and Mercury's sextile to Pluto gives keen mental perceptions, powerful self-expression, and another potential for occultism.

Moon SQ Neptune shows some deception or illusion on the part of Mom who may have fibbed a little about Dad (Sun/Neptune SQ.) In adulthood, these energies show up in his multiple marriages and a reputation for romantic affairs and for leaving ill wives for someone new.
