As the world well knows, it was not that but the start of a process. And it was, however, "a ritual sacrifice" and global populations - including millions of Americans - have been sacrificed ever since, both in declared and undeclared wars, thanks to old, mostly bald war profiteers and their warmongering enablers propagandizing generations of men and women into sacrificing their lives and fortunes on behalf of corporate conquest, plunder, greed, and power. Will we ever learn?

Numero Uno: A New Order Initiated

Below you see the historical World War One Horoscope, but first, a question: Why Was Kaiser Wilhelm Never Tried for Starting WWI? Note that today is the 116th annversary of the Kaiser's 'open door' speech delivered in Tangiers, North Africa on March 31, 1905.

As for President Wilson, he had duplicitously campaigned on a platform of keeping America out of the war! But there were massive profits to be made, as Wilson discovered (if he hadn't known before). For the curious, here's a view of the A New Order: Woodrow Wilson Inauguration Horoscope of 1913 with two apt midpoint pictures indicating duplicity, unfaithfulness, deception (Neptune-NN = Saturn) and a sense of tragedy (Venus-Pluto = Saturn), with Inaugural Saturn as the planet of authority, management, and lawmaking. And to add insult to injury, here's the Scripture the Bible was opened to as Wilson took the Oath of Office upon it with Inaugural Sun in secretive, shady Pisces as it was until 1937:

March 28, 2021: As you know, the first African slaves were traded in America at Hampton, Virginia on August 25, 1619. Meant to supply cheap labor for the plantations of Virginia including Jamestown Colony, the introduction of enslaved, initially unskilled workers triggered the beginning of the racist issues our society continues to grapple with today - or not grapple with as the case so often is.

Tobacco was the lucrative industry of the era and displacing indentured workers of the Caucasian persuasion with slaves created conditions in early America of starvation and deep resentment of whites against folks who were forcibly transported here through no fault of their own.

A 1619 Solar Eclipse Describes Historical Conditions and Events

Below is the horoscope of the 'First Slaves Traded's Prenatal Solar Eclipse' which perfected on July 11, 1619 (Total) in the 18 South Saros Series. 18 South's themes could not be more appropriate to events: 'Endings, partings, separations' (Brady's Predictive Astrology #ad), plus, the eclipse @18Can31 conjuncts 1619 Pollux and activates the star's influences of: murder, rape, cruelty (A. Louis). And with disruptive Uranus in Cancer nearby and rising, break-ups of family units and separation of parents and children occurred and cruelly continued through the years, as you know. Plus, planet Uranus also represents change and/or change of direction as eclipses do. For America in 1619, trading slaves certainly was that.

Now in addition, all solar eclipses in the Moon-ruled sign of tribal Cancer, sign of family, home, and protection, suggests emotional extremes and karmic family ties - ties that were negated by slave traders and most Virginians who participated in the proceedings as a handy way to increase profits (moneybags Jupiter in pioneering Aries at Midheaven leads a BOWL shape of planets with a Mars-Neptune Conjunction of exploitation at IC, the Foundation of the Matter.

As you know, Inauguration Day 2021 featured a combustible Mars-Uranus Conjunction in Taurus (@6Tau44). And perhaps you remember that the entire violence-promoting Tr*mp "regime" was cosmically imprinted during its first Solar Eclipse by a Mars-Uranus Conjunction in Mars-ruled Aries (@21Aries+). Therefore, a consideration of America's initial Mars-Uranus Cycle, which began with their conjunction on June 15, 1776, may be informative.

Plus, a list of the Historical Events of June 1776 mentions June 15, 1776 as the day that the Delaware General Assembly voted to suspend government under the British Crown, aka, Delaware Separation Day. Other events of June 1776 include: Richard Henry Lee's introduction to the Continental Congress of the Lee Resolution seconded by John Adams, and leading to the Declaration of Independence (June 7th); Continental Congress appoints the Committee of Five (June 11th) including Thomas Jefferson to draft the Declaration; and Continental soldier and one of George Washington's trusted bodyguards, Thomas Hickey, is hanged for mutiny and sedition (June 28th).

Now perhaps we can agree that the "wild" January 6, 2021 assault on the US Congress, an attempted coup of the US government by Tr*mp's "MAGA Mob", is a cosmic echo of the sedition of 1776 against General Washington with its 'suspend government' vibes, and both time frames contain disruptive influences, forceful energies, violent acts, and the tremendous tension of a Mars-Uranus kind. The tension? To hold together or to separate: traditional government of The Establishment vs radical government by upstarts. Well these days, the radical upstarts of 1776 look a lot like the traditionalists of 2021. Meanwhile, radical upstarts in 2021 are trying to use again these forceful energies to take control.

Why, even this chart's Syzygy Moon (last lunation prior) @12Sag07 has a 5 South Solar Eclipse approaching on December 4, 2021 @12Sag22!

Eclipses across the Gemini-Sagittarius axis ('Mercury-Jupiter') suggests a karmic need to deal with issues involving communications, honesty and truth, logical approaches to problems, and moral and ethical concepts. Karmic progress is possible if false optimism, fake choices, scattering of energies, misplaced idealism, and misguided beliefs are avoided.

Tragically for America, on January 6th a certain misguided belief promoted by the former guy, aka, 'the big lie', was not avoided but was used to allegedly justify seditionist acts under the influence of Mars-Uranus.

Born Randi Joyce Beuten on January 28, 1959 in Brooklyn, NY with natal Sun in early (progressive!) Aquarius, her natal Moon sign is either Virgo or Libra (ranging from 20Vir43 to 4Lib43). During the 24-hour period of her day of birth, orating Mercury the Messenger ranged from 26Cap05 to 27Cap40. With her commentary stingingly critical of politicians, I'll guess that hard working Randi's natal Moon could very well be in Mercury-ruled Virgo, sign of The Critic. And as you see, transit Pluto in late Capricorn is now upon her natal Mercury, a major transit that she and I are sharing (more intense self-expression, increased ability to recognize hidden meanings and motivations, etc). In her broadcasts Randi Rhodes often says outloud what I'm thinking!

Now let's mention two important oppositions in her natal chart (no birth time needed for these). The closest applying aspect to natal Sun is an opposition from progressive, futuristic Uranus Rx in Leo. This opposition is a marker for restlessness and independence, and identifies Randi Rhodes as a revolutionary. A Few Astro-Notes Concerning Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA)

Perhaps you've noticed that the Wikipedia page for Pastor, now Senator, Raphael Gamaliel Warnock provides basic details about the man whose oration on the Senate floor on March 17, 2021 was outstanding and, to my ears, uplifting. So a quick peek at his natal planets could be interesting even without having an accurate birth time for those with the interest and the time to do so.

Yet today I'm simply making note of transit Uranus conjunct the newly minted senator's natal Saturn (@8Tau14: responsibilities undergo significant changes; disruption), the fact that transit Chiron in early Aries has recently returned three times to his natal Chiron Rx degree @6Ari47 (April 2020, October 2020, on or about February 20, 2021: healing the past, on a new path for priestly Chiron), plus, Senator Warnock's Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') in the 7 North Saros Series for its background influence repeats for him approximately every 18.6 years (as do ours). So let's see where he is in the eclipse cycle of 7 North themes.

Themes of 7 North: 'a deep passion may take him by surprise and catch him off-guard after being hidden for years, and may include potentials for the expression of procreative drives and/or birth'. (Paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology). #ad

Since Senator Warnock is currently a mere 52 years old (hence his Chiron Return), 7 North eclipses have repeated only twice during his lifetime: March 29, 1987 @8Aries17 (conjunct his natal Chiron) and April 8, 2005 @19Ari05 (the exaltation of the Sun degree).

Two US Charts Progressed to New Moon Phase 2024

America's Lack of Community Spirit: The Moon Makes an Excellent Timer

March 17, 2021: Below is a dual image of two of America's July 4, 1776 charts (lower left: 5:09 pm LMT) and (upper right: 11:32 am LMT) when progressed to our nation's Secondary Progressed ('SP') New Moon @19Pis26. Naturally with the SP charts issuing from two differently timed horoscopes, progressed timing results vary. The July 4, 1776 chart set for 5:09 pm LMT (Philadelphia, PA) when progressed to our upcoming New Moon phase gives March 25, 2024 while the US chart set for 11:32 am LMT results in the perfection of the SP New Moon @19Pis26 on June 18, 2024:

Due to the SP Neptune-North-Node sextile (appearing in both charts), with SP Neptune in fated Nodal Degree (25Cancer vs 25Virgo), we find the typical position of US natal Moon (24 to 27 AQ; We The People; July 4, 1776) potentially being affected by the progressed sextile as the base of a YOD pattern (crisis/turning point/special task/karmic opportunity) as it symbolically points toward US natal Moon. And if we read the three points as a midpoint picture, we have "Lack of community spirit" (or, "lack of teamwork" - highlighted in red). It seems doubtful to me that anyone would disagree with such an assessment particularly when it comes to US Politics and politicians who vie for power while stalling progressive legislation via their constant political battles which are often little more than tempests in teapots stirred up by posers, imposters, and secret manipulators of the wealthy class, both foreign and domestic.

Now there are several chart factors which may interest you, dear reader, so I hope you'll enlarge the image, see what you think, and leave an on-topic comment if you wish.

Plus, you'll see that there are a few notes on transits penned on: another YOD pattern in the March 25th chart (transit Saturn-MC = transit Moon; left side), and check out transit Saturn conjunct SP New Moon in the June 18th horoscope and conjunct transit Mars-Pluto, see upper right). One example (highlighted in blue, lower right) is a midpoint picture which appears in one of the charts (the 11:32 am chart; upper right) but not in the other, and it's North Node-Ascendant = Jupiter (Rx) with potentials for 'sociability; humanitarianism'; and/or 'the politics behind shaping opinions' (aka, spin or propaganda). To me this supports a years-long conviction that US Politics as a practice is based more on Political Theater performances and public relations stunts rather than on representing We The People and doing 'the people's business'. Well, politicians do tend to think of themselves as brilliant thespians, you know (Jupiter!).

Of course, President Biden's recent Covid Relief Bill has brought a totally different vibe across the land, hasn't it? As if improvement (Jupiter) is on the way at last.

Meanwhile, the strong emphasis on individualism in the American character continues to evolve as 2024 nears with US progressions retaining a Splay shape of planets describing what for some is a striving to live up to the "cowboy ethic" (exs: John Wayne films, "macho man" dreams and illusions, the 'former guy' in the White House, etc).

DC Horoscopes: April 2021 New and Full Moons

March 15, 2021: Below is a dual chart with both the New (lower left) and Full (upper right) Moons of April 2021 set for Washington, DC:

As you know, New Moon phases are for seeding ideas and plans while the following Full Moon is a time of culmination and fulfillment and may also reveal something about full awareness and relationships. In Politics, the 'full awareness' quality of a Full Moon (which can act in similar, Uranian fashion to Lunar Eclipses, disrupting events and redirecting goals) tends to uncover revelations of secrets better kept hidden, or they may possibly inspire leaks of inconvenient information with scandals soon following. Additionally, we might expect the same from New Moons which can act in similar fashion to Solar Eclipses.

Now in April 2021, potentials involve the sign polarities of the lunations which are: Mars-ruled Aries with health asteroid Panacea Rx opposing the New Moon of April 11th (chart is incorrectly titled "April 12th"), plus, the opposite sign of Libra is included, then at the April 26th Full Moon the Taurus-Scorpio polarity (plenty of secrets therein!) is the star of April's cosmic show, curtain raised, spotlight on. Plus, the Full Moon (7Sco06) leads a Locomotive shape of planets suggesting people with a ruthless determination to achieve success (this may describe more than one group of people). A Taurus-Scorpio-themed tussle or stalemate could ensue as it typically does whenever Politics and politicians are involved - and everybody wants to rule the world.

And yes, until late May 2021, we remain under the auspices of the 4 South Solar Eclipse which manifested on December 14, 2020 @23Sag08 with its difficult themes of 'strong emotions over money and/or relationships; a sense of karma or fate; and 'an urge to suddenly end relationships' (Brady). As you see by the date, this is the 'Electoral College Vote Eclipse' so political matters and "the former guy" are obviously involved, including his 'big lie' and the subsequent violence of January 6, 2021, plus, other societal, financial, legal, and political difficulties caused by - or for - bad faith actors, many who are now under arrest or are being investigated.

Then as you see in the New Moon chart of April 11, 2021, transit Mars @23Gem06 (basically a US Mars Return!) opposes and thus activates the themes of the 4 South Solar Eclipse (23Sag08) while speedy messenger Mercury @14Ari57 is apex planet of the ('nwo') Uranus-Neptune midpoint which suggests that someone Mercurial (journalists? authors? orators? young folk? someone in trade or commerce?) is making plans that have little or no chance of being fulfilled (R. Ebertin).

At the April 26th Full Moon (7Sco06) we should note that powerful plutocrat Pluto is at Station Direct and turns Rx in 16 Hours 30 Minutes @26Cap48:29 which is, of course, the Midheaven (The Goal Point) in our Inauguration 2021 Horoscopes of recent years. And with 'unbeatable foe' asteroid Nemesis Rx in both charts conjunct the South Node, past enemies could be itching to affect current events, or may represent a factor that bad faith actors will rely on (SN) to force their way in to where they don't belong.

First thought? Criminal underworld figures slipping in to the country over the US-Mexico border. Yet we must also think of the fighters and agitators who brazenly breached the Capitol Building and the US Congress on January 6th with the misguided goal of stopping the certification of the 2020 Votes for Joe Biden.

(btw: Sun Taurus-Moon Scorpio is the natal personality blend of President Harry Truman, and is the polar opposite of President Biden's natal personality blend of Sun Scorpio-Moon Taurus.)

Normal Celebrations by Independence Day 2021?

"America's Coming Back," says Joe Biden

March 12, 2021: Last evening, after President Biden gave his Covid Anniversary Address in which he offered "July 4, 2021" as the potential date and holiday by which Americans have a "good chance" of celebrating Independence Day in normal, safe fashion with the Covid pandemic under control, it seemed that a rewrite of my US Solar Return 2021 post might be informative in light of new events. Then I reread the post, considered the horoscope as notated, and realized that the SR 2021 chart's two YODs, both patterns containing potentials for karmic progress, and one suggesting "triumph," might not require a rewrite after all! And as you know, YODs often relate to health matters as these must surely do, plus, timing is involved for the apex planet, one of which is the Solar Return Sun (the leader).

Of course, We The People's cooperation by receiving vaccinations when available, continuing our mask wearing, handwashing, and social distancing must be kept up for such a stellar achievement as a safe Happy 4th of July celebration of freedom. And if such normalcy is accomplished, it will lend new meaning to our annual celebration, plus, sales of fireworks will sky rocket!

Of interest is the Ascendant in Washington DC last evening (8:00 pm est) as the President's address began: 14Lib24 bringing up America's natal Saturn, exalted in Libra (14:48). Rounding up to "15Libra" = "Circular Paths" which seems appropriate for a first annniversary coming round. As he spoke, President Biden's first natal planet to rise last evening in Washington DC? His Mars in Scorpio, sign of regeneration. Meanwhile, an entire breakdown and regeneration of American society is underway as transit Pluto returns to his 1776 degree, thus performing America's first-ever Pluto Return, exact three times in 2022.

So! March 11, 2021: Back in the olden days of 2016 a post appeared here concerning President Biden's now-confirmed Attorney General of the United States Merrick Garland. You'll remember that 2016 was a discouraging time for our country with the "former guy" hunkered down in the White House and using AG Bill Barr as his own personal attorney to shield him from answering for his scofflaw actions and crimes.

But now with AG Garland, there's a 'new sheriff in town' and it looks as if the same favors will not be forthcoming.

Here are a few details concerning Merrick Garland and below are a few of my notes on his misty Water-Air Sun Scorpio-Moon Libra personality blend. Even without an accurate birth time for him I can tell you that during the 24-hours of his birth day (November 13, 1952 Chicago, IL) Luna remained in Libra, sign of the Scales of Justice (00:01 to 12:21), and the Sun in Scorpio ranged from 20:48 to 21:48.

This blend of conscious (Sun) and unconscious (Moon) energies when well-coordinated decribes someone with a shrewd intellect, a commitment to fairplay, and someone who's poetic and has a keen sense of drama. We can also see toughness via the closest applying aspect to his natal Sun, a square with manipulative Pluto (1A55 at noon). This suggests a determination toward power and control, and possibly a volatile temper (probably learned from a plutonian, domineering father). As an adult, one assumes that AG Garland's calming Libra Moon can dial down what could be destructive emotional energy when necessary in spite of his ego (Sun) needs.

Also notable in the solar department is his Mars-Pluto inconjunct (ruler and co-ruler of his Sun sign, from Mars exalted in Capricorn to dramatic Leo) which can lead to a depletion of energy due to taking on too much at one time. Hopefully, he has this tendency under control by now at age 65.

Below is a DC Horoscope for the moment on May 1, 2021 10:44:49 pm EDT that 2021 Neptune opposes US natal Neptune (22Pis25 vs 22Vir25) across the victim-savior axis of Virgo-Pisces. This is the first of three such oppositions, the others are listed in the text, below. Also prominent in this horoscope and relating directly to Health concerns, plus, Neptunian spirituality, is the Moon-North-Node midpoint ('Moon-NN' = Immune System; Spiritual Unions) conjunct the globally significant Aries Point ('AP') which conjuncts the 1776 IC 00Ari47, the Basis, Foundation, or Root of the Matter. Yes, this is a global phenomenon ('AP') for Gaia's 'immune system' of defense has also been weakened, as you know.

Note: Use of one or the other US horoscopes would naturally yield different timing results, but this is the chart (center) that I tend to use most often (July 4, 1776 5:09 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA) for America even though the hour is a bit on the late side and the Founders were likely having dinner by then!

And note that therefore 2021 Neptune squares US natal Mars (@21Gem22 in natal 7th house) which activates our 1776 Mars-Neptune square, and suggests a period of potentials such as fevers, headaches, infections, weakness, exploitation, harm, paralyzed activity, healthcare and hospital issues, scandals involving the Armed Forces, the 'fog of war', and/or industrial espionage (Ebertin). And so I'm suggesting that 'weakness' includes weakened immune systems, plus, our natal Neptune in Virgo, sign of Health but also of Work, hints at our current employment-unemployment conditions and weaknesses. Trusting the numbers isn't easy, is it? Well, we know that the undermining function of Neptune in its own sign of Pisces has been at work for some time at work and within our immune systems.
