Here's a recent segment from Thom Hartmann who poses a very timely question for the future of our country:

And here's a link to a previous post meant for any reader who may have missed Rachel Maddow's highly informative Ultra podcast concerning Nazis in America circa 1940s.

Plus, the fact that the FBI (1908) and the Republican Party (1854) were both hatched during the same 19 North Saros Series ('realism' and 'tackling the truth') denotes a cosmic time link between the two organizations. This is not conclusive, I agree, but there it is. For context, here's an excerpt from a previous SO'W post (with mild edits for clarity):

Was Marilyn about to 'tackle the truth' too inconveniently for certain politicians and their secret activities? Correlating the years of 19N eclipses with events and the presidents then in office can be quite informative for although history doesn't repeat, it does tend to rhyme.

A Patriotic Stroll Back to America 1801

Since in March 2023 America continues to be throttled and assaulted by Republicans of the brutal Nazi persuasion in every way they can scheme to finagle their longed-for take-over of our democratic Republic, I'm reverting Stars Over Washington via Monday's post back to the fabled era when Founding Father Thomas Jefferson was first inaugurated as President of the United States in 1801 after a very acrimonious election.

So as you can see in the horoscope, below, early Cancer rises which brings up America's 1776 trio of Venus-Jupiter-Sun, suggesting that intense emotions were in evidence via a Moon-Pluto trine. No, they must not have been aware of power planet Pluto in 1801, but we are - to our advantage. Notably, the trine is the only applying aspect that chart-ruler Moon makes in the horoscope. Apparently, Jefferson's fight for survival (Scorpio Moon) was beneficially aided by a sense of Universalism (Pisces Pluto), and naturally, fate was in attendance with karmic Pluto involved.

Meanwhile, an important consideration is Mr. Jefferson's first natal planet to rise at 12 o'clock but it's complex: his Chiron-Neptune Conjunction @10Cancer (high idealism, a quest for enlightenment - Pottenger; see Midheaven/The Goal: "Men Seeking Illumination"). Soon Jefferson's natal Cancer Moon (19-24 Cancer) arose which to me denotes his Moon-Neptune duo suggesting his refined feelings, love of solitude, and peculiar disposition. These are traits he is known to have expressed during his lifetime, and I know of no biographer who would disagree.

Additionally, Moon-ruled Cancer is the sign of patriotism, tribalism, domesticity, protection, psychism, emotions, impressionability and receptivity, and resonates with the intense emotions of the day for Thomas Jefferson personally, and for various participants who were either for or against his approaching presidency.

As for the event itself, the Inauguration of Thomas Jefferson on March 4, 1801 saw mild weather, and a simply dressed president first to walk to the inaugural ceremony held at the US Capitol Building. Lodging nearby, Mr. Jefferson started his brief stroll at around noon on that day with companions in tow, and delivered his speech, a copy of which had been provided to the National Intelligencer for immediate publication, inside the US Senate Chamber.

Here is the permalink of Jefferson's 1801 speech if you'd care to read the text, and as the newspaper noted, his address was delivered "at 12 o'clock." Therefore, the following Inauguration 1801 Horoscope is set for that hour although his Oath of Office, administered by Chief Justice John Marshall, was taken after his speech so adjust the horoscope's timing as and if you wish:

June-July 2023: Are We Facing a Debt Default Summer?

The June 18, 2023 Gemini New Moon chart and the culminating Capricorn Full Moon of July 3, 2023 contain a variety of messages including those in relation to America's National Treasury and budgetary concerns which affect the US economy going forward. This time frame concerns debt limit debates, the government running out of money, and potential crises when Republicans think it's a jolly idea to institute such things as another ill-advised government shutdown finagled through refusing to pay our country's already-incurred debts and refusing to raise the debt ceiling.

As you know, the GOP's anti-societal mission includes cutting our social safety net programs (Make Americans Grieve Again?) which would sadistically increase suffering and loss among We the People, and their further machinations could possibly crash the global economy.

Therefore, if a global economic crash is one of the ultimate goals of the GOP, then the long-term plan to remove the US from global leadership will become obvious for even the most apathetic American who for years couldn't be bothered to pay attention to what evil men were up to. And as you know, a period of crisis is the best time to force new forms of government upon the unwilling such as fascist totalitarian regimes which a majority of Americans are completely against.

Meanwhile, it's March and congressional Republicans are balking about bringing forth their budget. Well, perhaps they aren't bothering to create one since they have other ideas that don't support a successful nation under the leadership of Democratic President Joe Biden because they prefer chaos instead. Why work on a budget if you have other plans in mind?

Now I'm not saying that all of these difficult economic challenges and consequences are found in the following Lunation Horoscopes for June and July 2023 but if you check out the chart factors highlighted in green (such as MIDAS conjunct Mercury, planet of messages and negotiations, in the New Moon chart), you'll find indications of financial issues and concerns, including banking and corporate planet Jupiter in the money sign of Taurus - but he'll also be playing his roles of politician, preacher, and broadcaster:

Saturn in Pisces hits US 12 South Eclipse

An abundance of astro-notes are penned upon the following bi-wheel of America's Prenatal Solar Eclipse @00Pis33 which manifested on February 19, 1776 within the 12 South Saros Series (inner), and the moment that transit Saturn @00Pis33 (outer) 'hits' the 1776 Eclipse degree, both Saturn and Sun-Moon with the rounded-up degree's Sabian Symbol of "A Public Market":

"1 Pisces": "A Public Market"; "Keyword = COMMERCE; positive expression: an exceptional capacity for organizing the converging and conflicting interests of many people in practical arrangements of mutual benefit; negative" (shadow side; unconscious - jc) "expression: complete insensibility to any over-all welfare."

Illumination Point (opposite, also unconscious) "1 Virgo": "A Man's Head" = CHARACTER; positive expression: an effective self-assurance and an ever-clear vision of each emerging opportunity in life; negative expression: inordinate vanity and a consistent overestimation of individual capacities." The 1 Virgo/Pisces Symbols suggest issues of maturity, reliability, responsibility, ambition, accountability, and personal plus group integrity, in the realms of commerce, trade, marketing, and legal situations. Saturn in Pisces indicates a period of time when ambition, consolidation, reserve, restraint, restriction, limits, and legal conditions are prominent, and there are potentials for realism brought to flights of fancy, or, in a similar fashion to a Saturn-to-Neptune transit, the grim face of reality is visited upon those who neglect Saturn's demands for hard work and upright behavior. Past mistakes are on the table and corrections must be made.

Additionally, sustained hard work is necessary during this period along with struggles with opponents (2024 campaign, etc) as sober Saturn travels through tipsy Pisces; our social safety net programs continue to be a point of contention along with the debt ceiling limit and possible default by the US government, crisis situations made worse by political trickery (which Saturn will not abide).

So timekeeper Saturn has entered watery Pisces of the Collective for his trek toward the end of the Zodiac, heading eventually toward a new societal cycle with Neptune (February 20, 2026 @00Ari45: idealism vs materialism writ large on the world stage), but for now, our long-standing concerns must be dealt with by taking responsibility and maturity seriously. Naturally, inequality is just one of those long-standing concerns, and accountability awaits miscreants.

George Washington's Ancient Family Ties

Origins of the Washington Family, plus, the Stricklands

The Washington family's Coat of Arms was adopted by an ancestor of our country's first president named William de Wassington and you've most likely perused the Wikipedia page of the Washington Family so you know that George Washington's great-grandfather John Washington (1633--1677) was first of the family to reach the shores of Colonial Virginia in 1657 after surviving a shipwreck.

So as an armchair genealogist, naturally I wanted to check the geni dot com website to see if I have a direct or an in-law family connection to first President George Washington - both as it turns out for President Washington is my 9th cousin 8 times removed. So we may as well face it: said to be sterile from an early case of smallpox, The Father of Our Country may be your cousin, too!

Now on geni dot com, I couldn't resist following George Washington' paternal line back to his ancestor Robert de Washington, Sr who married one of my Strickland family members, Joan, daughter of Sir William Strickland, Knt, and Elizabeth d'Eyncourt (circa 1240 - circa 1273: my 21st great-grandparents). Elizabeth was the only heir of her father, Sir Ralph d'Eyncourt, also a Knight. Sir Ralph is my 22nd great-grandfather, as I'm told.

Then if memory serves via my past research forays into the ancient, misty past concerning my too-ancient-DNA-to-affect-me-now indications, Sir William's is the marriage into the d'Eyncourt family that brought Sizergh Castle (Manor, really) into the Strickland family where folks may visit the 12th-century structure and stroll its beautiful gardens, if they wish!

Of course, nowadays, Sizergh Castle and Gardens are under care of Britain's National Trust, Grade I listed, so perhaps let's close this post with a link to an 8-minute video tour plus history of the stately home as an enticement for a dear reader such as yourself!

Horoscope: Trump Speaks at CPAC 2023

With CPAC 2023 going on as I type, have a glance at a horoscope set for CPAC 2023 Washington DC, Saturday March 4 at 5:25 pm. Yes, his nibs tends to run late but 5:25 pm est is the scheduled time for Donald Trump to take the podium and speak his Geminian mind, and the planets may be of interest to a reader or two.

However, it's weekend and I do not care to waste many more minutes on Herr T's combative rhetoric or his dreams of regaining power, so please check out my notes penned messily upon the following bi-wheel. Inner is Saturday night's 5:25 pm est speech horoscope with Trump's natal chart surrounding it (outer).

As you see, the bi-wheel shows that his aggressive, me-first Mars in Leo has already risen prior to 5:25 pm, and his deceptive 2nd house Neptune Rx in Libra will be next to rise, dragging his deceptive Neptune square Mercury, planet of rhetoric, in tow so that we know that misconceptions and fantasies are on his to-do list. Notable is that CPAC 2023 is being held under the auspices of the 6 South Solar Eclipse which perfected on October 25, 2022 @2Scorpio with its 'being forceful, taking power; manic energy with great force or strength in relationships' and 'huge efforts in a group activities' themes (paraphrasing B. Brady).

This describes a "group activity" like CPAC, a 'conservative' organization in which the current leader of the 'Republican Party' in the polls continues to be the rash, brash, belligerent orange blighter whose combative rhetoric may hit, or mention, a brick wall (or border wall?) thanks to CPAC 2023's Mars @20Gem42 conjunct his natal 10th house North Node of public contact and which is sandwiched between his uniquely individualistic Sun-Uranus duo.

Meanwhile, Trump's CPAC 2023 speech's Midheaven ('MC'= the Goal) sports an incendiary midpoint: Mars-Uranus. See lower left corner for potentials of this dangerous combination.

And to powerful wealth hoarder Pluto conjunct Hygeia and leading a ruthless Locomotive pattern, add

Spring 2023 Planets return to Midterms 2022 Horoscope

When America's testy 2022 Midterm Elections were held on the very day of a Taurus Lunar Eclipse, transit Uranus, erratic planet of revolt, anarchy, chaos, disruption, separation, contrariness, and independence (and America's totem planet of revolution) clocked in at 16Tau56:48 conjunct the eclipsed Moon and opposing the Sun, and many of us felt the karmic implications heavy in the atmosphere. And it didn't take knowledge of Astrology to feel the significance of the day.

Rounded up to "17 Taurus," many folks found that the Sabian Symbol for Uranus described the 'maga' and far-right (aka, far-reich) Republicans and militiamen thugs of vigilantism determined that every 2022 Midterm Election would go their way: "A Symbolical Battle Between 'Swords' and 'Torches'" which conjures images of tiki torches and neo-Nazi marches. In this scenario, The Establishment must be the 'swords' in the democracy vs fascism battle. See the chart, upper right, for US 1776 Saturn rising opposed and thus challenged by the April 3/4 Sun in Aries (opponents in leadership positions, plus, 'sloppy work is unacceptable').

Yet as we know, in November 2022 the House of Representatives somehow did manage to turn Republican although it was not a red wave as they'd hoped. Even so, we now watch 'maga' antics on Capitol Hill as they disrupt, sabotage, and degrade the US Congress with foolish legal situations and a clown car atmosphere of mockery, deception, and incompetence - with all the drama performed on behalf of a despotic, fascist cult of personality, and not for the sake of our democratic Republic at all.

Besides, "own the libs" style news clips must be performed and harvested for far-right TV shows, click bait, and 2024 campaign ads!

Midterms 2022 Chart Hit by Mars and Uranus in 2023

So, remembering the dangerous Mars-Uranus Conjunction @6Tau44 on Inauguration Day 2021, and consulting the 2022 Midterms Horoscope of November 8, 2022, it seems significant that both Mars the warrior, arsonist, and/or activist, and Uranus the zealot, anarchist, and/or rebel return to their respective positions in the 2022 Midterm Election Horoscope as you see in the dual chart image, below.

DC Horoscopes: March 14, 2023 Mars Return @25Gem02 (lower left); April 3, 2023 Uranus Return @16Tau56 (upper right); prominent in both return charts is a fantastical midpoint picture of deception, Sun = Mercury-Neptune, as notated on the right side of the chart and highlighted in orange:

Thus, the period between and including March 14 - April 3, give or take a day or so, seems to me to be of particular concern while the 6 South Eclipse is still of influence in society, so mind how you go. Yet significantly, unpredictable Uranus can act early, on time, late - or never.

Meanwhile, for historical context regarding these chaotic, even perilous, Uranian matters affecting US elections, office holders, and the populace, a previous post tells a tale of Taurus Midterm Eclipses 2022 and 1938! because similar cosmic conditions and events are shown between 2022 and 1938 when Republicans made gains in the House and the Senate by promoting their anti-FDR policies and rhetoric. Obviously, fear was a major background influence in society in 1938 and bad faith actors used it much as they do now with debates on "war" topping the political menu, and, as Rachel Maddows's revealing Ultra podcast spotlights, Nazis and their American tools were active in America.

Now as you know, on the financial level, GOP-ers continue to use similar arguments and gaslighting, with the same goal of collapsing our social safety net and heisting the money, but one can always hope that a majority of Americans now realize that the GOP expects them - not only to vote against their own best interests - but to hand control of the helm of state to an autocratic dictator pushing more of the far-reich's hateful, brutal policies and sadistic laws than we've so far seen.

Therefore, We the People must do everything possible to toss such anti-societal traitors into the dustbin of history to wallow with their cruel idols of the 1930s and 1940s.

But tell me: am I being too subtle? Because there's a theme of tragedy herein via a major cosmic signpost which must be noted: that the Lunar Eclipse of 1938 @15Taurus occurred two days prior to the Nazi bloodbath, aka, "the night of broken glass" - Kristallnacht. Are magaites and their vigilantes brewing up another storm? Well, think of the current House of Representatives and its 'maga' gun lovers lurking there as they pretend to "lead" in the legislative branch of government that they and their thugs attempted to overthrow by violent coup on January 6, 2021.

So if the tired old phrases, What's wrong with this picture? and What could possibly go wrong? ever applied to Washington DC politics, this must be the time.
