Shutdowns 1995/96 and 2013 linked by Mars-Neptune

Mars-Neptune, Government Shutdowns, and Autumn 2013 Eclipses

On Saturday October 19, 2013, transit Mars @2Vir39 returns to its position in the 'Shutdown New Moon 1995' horoscope (Sun-Moon @10Cap33), which is called a Mars Return, and which symbolizes a new 2-year cycle of activity relating to shutdowns and stalemates. For the current government shutdown, testosterone-driven Mars, the planet of quarrels, activism, and war, is opposed by transit Neptune @2Pis44 Rx.

As you see from the 1995 New Moon degree of 10Cap33, transit Pluto now conjoins it showing changed circumstances that lead to a critical time of development (Ebertin.) A New Moon begins a cycle of activity as well, and this one on January 1, 1995 occurred 3 days prior to the swearing in of the 104th Congress, and times the cosmic beginning of the New Gingrich 'revolution'. Rounding up, the negative expression of 11 Cap's Sabian Symbol is: 'egoistic satisfaction in matching the mediocrity of others' and I'm quite certain that then as now, the American people look to the US Congress for such sorriness as that.

In fact, some say that the approval rating of Congress has now dropped to the historic low of 5% (which causes me to wonder what on earth is wrong with the 5%.)

So with tr Mars about to return to its 1995 degree on October 19th, and with the current position of nebulous, fraud-producing Neptune opposing said Mars, what's up in the Mars-Neptune department? Well, you know about America's problematic Mars-Neptune square (22Gemini SQ 22Virgo) in our national horoscope (July 4, 1776) so whenever Mars and Neptune tangle, our 'confused motivations/misguided actions' tendencies are usually on display or are triggered. (Ex: Republicans seem to have forgotten their 'defund Obamacare' campaign which was irrationally instigated by wet-behind-the-ears senator, Ted Cruz. The GOP has "moved on" from that particular losing battle and have set their sights on other budgetary targets where they'll be able to save face, they hope.)

My fuss is that all this high drama is meant to undermine confidence in the US government of the American people--yet it doesn't do that for me but does serve to highlight my lack of confidence in the current doltish crop of Capitol Hill brigands, but not in the republican system itself. Efficient government is what I prefer, even if it means that government isn't 'smaller'. (Well, okay, so I was born with four natal planets in Capricorn, the sign of government, business, and law!)

So! Transit 2013 Neptune opposing 1995 Mars denotes a time of futile efforts (!) and debilitating factors which undermine actions; misguided ideals inspire acts of revenge and aggression while risk-taking endeavors and hostile confrontations do not work out in Mars' favor. Scandal, deception, illusion, and mistrust are on the Martian menu at this time. Headaches are difficult to diagnose yet a majority of Americans agree that it's quite simple to discern from what quarter the headaches the US Congress is giving We the People have their beginnings.

Obviously, the Mars-Neptune transit between Shutdowns 1995 and 2013 indicates that results are not conforming to what the Republican Tea Party's expected outcome was delusionally intended to be and the irrational, self-deceived energies that Neptune can supply to any situation turned out to be more prominent in the real world than Neptune's undermining of President Obama's signature legislation, the Affordable Health Care Act, at least at this time. Additionally, Neptune also signifies The Web and the ACA website's awful first week has been gummed up by Neptunian forces (are hackers involved, I wonder?) More political attacks from anti-government/small-government types will be forthcoming, I suspect, especially since they've fought against FDR's New Deal programs from the start and now consider Obamacare to be an increase in the size of government--which it is.

Well, no one should ever expect outer planets such as Neptune to provide dependable outcomes, should they?

As I type, the Senate is in session--rare for a Saturday--concerning an offer that would reopen the government and extend the debt ceiling limit so we can pay our bills and thereby avoid becoming a deadbeat nation in default.

However, uplifting the 'full faith and credit of the US government' and protecting the dollar as the global currency are quite different matters.

Yes, the Republican Tea Party has a definite 'genius for futile turmoil and persistent upset' (ruling by lurching from crisis to crisis) so the negative expression of the current Solar Eclipse degree (May 2013 @19Tau) is being demonstrated all too well by the austerity-loving political party. Perhaps this morning's Sun-Moon blend may be instructive as to the flavor of the meeting at the White House so let's check it out:

Sun Libra-Moon Capricorn (Venus-Saturn) is a purposeful, pragmatic, ambitious blend of energies with a social conscience; this blend of the 'artful manager' denotes diplomacy and an ability to work together as idealism morphs into decisive action.

This Sun-Moon blend is shared natally by activist Bobby Seale so here's an apt quote for the day from him:

"We must start coming forth with our energies...our intellects, and our abilities to see what is right and what must be done, so the suffering will stop, and the phrase 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness' begins to make some human sense."

At 2:00 pm edt today, the Moon enters Aquarius and prepares for a US Lunar Return on October 14, 2013. In the Return chart, the Moon is opposed by--you guessed it--Mars in late Leo, which indicates the deep anger and resentment of the American people toward whomever each one of us considers contentious Mars to be representing in the government shutdown fiasco!

For me, Mars is the actor involved with the anarchistic Uranus-in-Aries zealots as described by Reinhold Ebertin in his book The Combination of Stellar Influences though, as always, you, dear reader, may feel free to totally disagree.

So at 2:00 pm, the Sun-Moon blend becomes Sun Lib-Moon AQ which has a curious implication to the current anarchy in Washington for it signifies those who 'build castles and a Utopia' in their minds. You'll remember that the old 'Utopia' plan is that of the Adam Weishaupt crowd of Illuminatists whose descendants remain determined to destroy civilized systems such as government, law, religion, and education. And with the November 3, 2013 Solar Eclipse soon occurring with its illuminating Uranus-Neptune content, I'd say they've done a pretty good job of it so far.

News at 12:00 pm et: John Boehner touts that an impasse has been reached in this morning's negotiations with the president. Well, our political drama queens and prima donnas must be pleased that their starring time before the cameras hasn't ended...yet.

Uh-oh! Jupiter Stations Retrograde on November 7, 2013

On October 7, 2013, Robert Reich published Their Real Goal: To Make Us All So Cynical About Government, We Give Up in which the professor explains much better than I can do what this blog has been primarily about these last 8 years. (SO'W turns 8 on October 17th!)

Guess I can hang up my blogging spurs, right? But then how will I deal with my frustration with Washington DC, my favorite city of residence even though I relocated to Georgia years ago? Yes, I still miss its green parks and streets of stately embassies though I can't say much for what 'they've' done with the place lately--that 'Shining City on a Hill'. And yes, I know I've usually added "built on a swamp" to the glowing description that Ronald Reagan used so effectively but the District of Columbia was built on a swamp as selected by George Washington, wasn't it? And since Astrology teaches that the End is in the Beginning, well then...?

Anyway, the ongoing government shutdown and looming default on our debts (if Tea Party congress members are allowed to keep showing their patooties) is on the minds of many Americans, on tongue's tip for all TV and other pundits, in the news, wafting through the airwaves, and meanwhile, Moneybags Jupiter the Banker in Moon-ruled Cancer will soon prepare for a Retrograde Station on November 7, 2013, a mere 4 days after the Solar Eclipse of November 3, 2013 at 11Sco15.

Today's Mercury @11Sco38 (thinking, communicating) conjoins what will be the November eclipse degree (11:15) and the position of austere conservative Saturn conjoined it in the Jupiter Direct Station chart of January 30, 2013 which denotes acceptance of responsibilities, or accountability if not. You'll note that several indicators of an improving economy have been apparent during 2013--until lately with shutdown-default fever hitting the overly excited Tea Party-Republican House. Now that Jupiter is about to Rx, money sources and investment may dry up or at least be stalled or delayed; this planetary about-face bodes ill for the staged "of course the US won't default" assurances being touted by many of the hostage takers on Capitol Hill (when there are cameras around.) Of course, a review of ideology may also be on Jupiter's menu which would perhaps be a good thing if it's hostage-takers doing the review of their success-at-any-cost tactics.

These upstarts (Uranus in Aries) seem to imagine that they'll have control of the situation once they put in motion their plan to undermine President Obama's agenda. How wrong they are for things will spiral and ripple out from their foolishness into what, after all, they may actually want--global meltdown, or at least circumstances where they can establish their Austerity Flag over our republic. Have Republicans accepted President Obama's victory in November 2012? Obviously not. And saying things over and over don't make them so.

Today, POTUS nominates Janet Yellen as head of the Fed and transit Jupiter will Station Rx @ 20Can30:39 on November 7, 2013 at 12:03:06 am est and in a horoscope set for the Capitol Building, falls into the 11th house of Groups, Associations, Hopes, and Wishes. This Rx period of The Banker may even affect Yellen's confirmation hearing in a negative way or simply indicate a nominee who's already been (Rx) working at the Fed.

Then, adding tension to the stalemates in Washington over budgets and fiscal responsibility, '20Can/Cap' are critical degrees, and since Jupiter increases or expands whatever he contacts, we may expect some of the themes of a certain Fixed Star @20Can to be potentially influential within current events...Castor: mental illness, sudden loss or fame, crippling of limbs (or of governmental branches?), murder. Of course, a bright side may be the November 2013 Solar Eclipse itself with its Uranus-Neptune 'bright idea-break through-solutions' content along with the fact that as Jupiter seemingly moves backward through the Zodiac, Mr. Moneybags will again contact US natal Sun (13Can19) around January 20, 2014, then the Great Benefic will Station Direct @10Can26 on March 6, 2014. Direct Jupiter to US natal Sun (the leader) occurred during the last week of August 2013 and denotes a culmination of something begun 12 years prior (war?)--things must move to the next stage or level, or be discontinued. It also may bring recognition or some kind of honor or reward though ego inflation, over-promising, or over-expansion are possibilities.

As for the theatrical antics of the Teas and Republicans, perhaps you remember a discussion we had here some time ago concerning the Secondary Progressions of the Republican Party (July 6, 1854 5:00 pm LMT Jackson, MI) which, beginning in May 2010, showed a worrisome YOD pattern (crisis; turning point) formed between their SP 6th house Mercury @27Sco01 (conjunct Mr. Obama's natal MC) sextile SP 8th house Jupiter @28Cap01 (conjunct US natal Pluto). The sextile pointed toward the SP Ascendant, the Party itself, at '28Gemini', a degree of Bankruptcy in Sabian Symbols--and the GOP idea to bankrupt our nation was apparently sanctioned by the international banking syndicate (Pluto.) Plus, they had worked hard at it through the 8 years of Bush-Cheney!

So now we find that Republicans have arranged everything skillfully (Mercury-Jupiter = ASC) and because of this planetary condition in the Party's evolutionary progress, I expressed deep concern then since the above-mentioned plan to undermine the US government (and shrink it till it can be 'drowned in a bathtub'--presumably along with a majority of the American people) seemed to be trotting right along for them and now, in 2013, even the most apathetic among us can plainly see evidence of their plan of attack as Ted Cruz & pals jerk around the US Congress in order to paralyze governmental functions while shouting "bankruptcy!"

Sadly, the fact that the rest of the world thinks America has gone mad doesn't begin to describe the problems the corporate infestation of our capital is causing and will cause to us and to global markets. And the coup is happening right under our noses.

So I ask you: are We the People so paralyzed into stupidity that we will allow the few to ruin the many?

A Cosmic Time Link Between Government Shutdowns 1995/96 and 2013

In a seemingly curious twist of fate, the Pre-Natal Eclipse Saros Series in which the Newt Gingrich/Republican shutdown of the US government occurred (and was meant to harm the Clinton presidency), the 16 North, repeats on November 3, 2013 with a Solar Eclipse @11Sco15.

Previously, the Solar Eclipse occurred @00Sco17 on October 24, 1995 and you may recognize the 00/1Scorpio degree as the natal Sun position of the new world order, a position gleaned from the third of three Great Conjunctions of Uranus and Neptune on October 24, 1993 @18Cap ("The Union Jack" = 'POLITICAL POWER...smug or strong-armed paternalism'--Jones.)

The unconscious influence of this transpersonal planetary duo is infused within the 16N Series due to its initial eclipse which manifested during a Uranus-Neptune trine back in 1599, and of course, you know that their signature involves The Enlightenment, rationalism, a blend of Science and Religion, and insights from the unconscious where solutions may be found. Plus, the duo's Utopian idealism of No Government continues to bedevil us now. Yes, the chaos-creators are at work and positively giddy at their presumed success in completely undermining America, the big gorilla nation-state that must be vanquished before total Global Government can be fully implemented.

Actually, we've already discussed such topics in my post on the November 2013 Solar Eclipse if you wish to take a peek, horoscope included. Hopefully, this cosmic time link isn't telling us the current shutdown will continue into November but even CFR shills and Trilateral pundits on TV agree that a several-week shutdown is possible. Forget global markets, I guess, because if global meltdown is what they're preparing us for, it will only require a 'quick jump off a short pier' the way the Syndicate has things staged at the moment.

But if the powers-that-be decide the meltdown moment isn't quite here, we'll know because a reprieve will be granted, perhaps around the time of the October 18, 2013 Full Moon in Aries which perfects just after October 17th, the date when Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew predicts the US will be out of cash to pay bills and enter into deadbeat status Full Moons indicate a culmination, a stage of fulfillment so I'm hoping we see resolution of the shutdown around then, if only a temporary one.

Oddly enough, America only recently--on July 22, 2013--enjoyed a Jupiter Return $$! Of course our last Jupiter Return/s occurred in 2001/02 when Bush, Cheney, and Congress were spending like drunken you-know-whats and racking up much of the debt we suffer under now--debt that current deadbeat Republicans want to skip out on! Then, the GOP played the role of Jupiter in mundane charts but with a Democratic president and Senate, they now play the Saturn-in-Scorpio role of austerity. And even their role-switching could provide political balance for our nation's economy if they would work together and compromise, for Jupiter's expansion principle and Saturn's restriction principle are meant to compliment each other in the Universe.

Winter Solstice 2013: Saturn-Neptune-Pluto active

Horoscope: Winter Solstice 2013 Capitol Building 12:11 pm est; transit Saturn-Neptune = Pluto (@10Cap53 in 10th house of Public Status); a Lunar Hour with Moon @17Leo00 in 5th house

It's an unfortunate synchronicity for all but the toffs among us that when the Sun hits 00Cap:00:00 on December 21, 2013, aka Winter Solstice 2013, the difficult midpoint of Saturn and Neptune ('Saturn-Neptune') trods upon Mr. Underworld himself, the Arch Spy, Saboteur, and Wealth-Hoarder, Pluto, so we end 2013 with a depressive, oppressive midpoint picture of planetary energies affecting the collective mindset and setting the table for major denials of guilt from responsible parties, particularly from within the Plutocracy class of manipulators.

As you know, secret/invisible (Neptune) government (Saturn) is a constant charge made against the United States of America since its founding days with its natal Saturn @14Lib48 in 10th house and natal Neptune @22Vir24 in 9th house snugged about our natal Midheaven @00Lib53, a point that turns up in the horoscope you see above conjoining the Vertex, a point of encounter, and a degree/point which squares the Winter Solstice Sun each year.

Yes, that Point of Fate (VX) sits upon US natal Midheaven (MC) in the 'Sibly' chart (July 4, 1776 5:10 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA) at a World Point of Prominence (00Libra) so the karmic quality we feel concerning current events is well justified by the cosmic reflection of current-day goings-on in Washington, our archetypal representative. All of this is engineered by Those Who Engineer, although 'imagineer' might be closer to their shriveled little Uranus-Neptune minds and hearts...if only they possessed organs of compassion and empathy for their fellow man and guilt over the destruction they, the politicians and their corporatist backers, are perpetrating upon We the People, and against the US economy.

We could use the karmic 'reap what's sown' motto here since debts tend to catch up with anyone who racks them up (a debt-ceiling raise is meant to pay Congress' already-incurred bills--will it be settled only until Nov 15th or Dec 15th?) and apparently, our usurping Tea-like activists have 'cremated' (any sense of) 'care' for humanity years ago. If so, this is a decrepit condition which may partly explain how they can look at themselves in the mirror each day given their anti-American antics which are egged on by delusions of grandeur and goals of ego-recognition--and a yearning for 'a place' at the Rulers' Table once the dust clears and the rebuilding begins, the sots.

Well, it's almost hush-up time at SO'W so please enlarge the horoscope to read a few basic scribbles and you will find several interesting factors worth consideration besides what I detail here...

One main concern, of course, is any applying aspects of chart-ruler Mars (@6Lib53 in 7th house of Open Enemies and Legal Partners.) There are two that show how things are likely to proceed until March 2014 (Aries Ingress, or, Spring Equinox 2014), and with contentious warrior Mars @6Lib53 traversing through US natal 10th house, its testosterone-driven condition is certain to be important for America's reputation, in tatters as they've purposefully torn it, and obviously, the actors signified by the Uranus-Pluto duo present debilitating or at least delaying obstacles (square) to our nation's desired actions and motivations (Mars):

1. Mars opposes Uranus (1A42), an explosive combination and a time when group organizing is quite impossible; many activities could be disrupted and it's impractical to attempt to predict what actions may be taken especially when there are new or unusual conditions and circumstances afoot; crowds are volatile now so stay clear of them, whenever possible.

2. Mars squares Pluto (4A00), a period when jealousy, revenge, and, above all, power struggles are in play; obstacles due to past actions must be dealt with appropriately before progress can be made though a large amount of anger, even rage, may be contained within these old situations. Accomplishment is possible, if the dynamic is positively utilized, yet there are potentials for destruction, even catastrophe, if the forceful energy is not well-managed. And inside The Beltway of Washington DC, what are the chances for good and well-meaning management any more?, sad to say. Mars-Pluto also has a 'Higher Power' vibe which can interrupt even the most Machiavellian machinations of current political operatives and plutonian agents of a sinister kind.

Naturally, the above info pertains to the dynamic T-Square between Mars-Uranus across the 1/7 polarity (Self/Others) which has outlet for expression at 10th house Pluto who probably manipulates the explosive energies of Mars-Uranus, rather than the other way round. Now this is a Cardinal (initiating; active; physical) T-Square and with an apex Pluto, signifies obsessions with complex undercurrents of a longstanding nature (karmic, or, fated) which cause a one-pointed, consuming focus; tactics to gain control include subversive actions, willfulness, manipulation, and a 'possessed' quality of behavior.

Privacy and secrecy are tools of choice so that opponents may be unexpectedly 'overwhelmed' by the ruthlessness readily used by plutonians determined to get their way with few, if any, concessions. No less than complete transformation is considered worthy of their efforts and once they're done taking over, they don't intend that anything in America will ever be the same.

Well, perhaps the typing of this post may be completed at a later date for much is there to be done in the real world with more and more Americans needing practical aid especially since the November 2011 'sequester' cuts which slight-of-hand Republicans have managed to make seem like budgetary 'business as usual' and through which Atlas Shrugged adherents--including the blind-zealot Uranus-in-Aries types ("anarchists"--Ebertin says of rebellious Uranus when in Mars-ruled Aries) are determined to tear down, not build up our nation. Throw the weak overboard! they shout, and there will be more for the rest of us!

Which for me supports my personal contention that if we allow anti-government behavior to fester long enough, we've got a major Coup of State on our hands. Yet hopefully, by December 21, 2013, the November 3, 2013 Solar Eclipse with its Uranus-Neptune content will have awakened even more of The Masses to the real solutions necessary to support, not tear down, our America.

"Obamacare begins" (The Daily Show video)

During the current government shutdown, comedians are having such an easy time of it making monkeys out of looney GOP parrots who are trying to be so very clever over the Affordable Health Care Act, aka, Obamacare.

One of my concerns has been hacking and denial of service attacks against the Healthcare.gov website by POTUS' opponents who will do whatever it takes to ruin President Obama's agenda and legacy. Another concern is the potential for customers' private medical and financial info to be stolen. Is there anyone who can't see that coming?

It seems there are at least two methods for technical interference.

But then there is our out-of-bounds government, always snooping on the innocent, and, via the set-up of this massive medical program, having access to (and imagined ownership of) every person's DNA for targeting and controlling purposes.

Perhaps you've noticed an increase in genome mapping kit ads? The 23andme is the one I'm seeing in this TV market--and hey! It's only $99!

Well, ancient writings including the Bible do advise everyone to, Know Thyself, yet somehow I'm uncertain that the DNA-cellular level is the sort of knowing they intended.

Okay, so maybe I'm being old-fashioned about this, or, maybe someone wants to make a list of who's in whose bloodline...?

Oct 2013 Republican Party: Pluto-ASC = Mercury @1Sag13

A quick post concerning the stalemates and quarrels ongoing in Washington DC over the Affordable Health Care Act ('Obamacare') and the soon-to-crest debt, deficit, and default clusters of chaos. Well, actually this post is more about the Secondary Progressions (SP) of the Republican Party, founded on July 6, 1854.

SP Ascendant, the Party itself, is at a World Point of Manifestation which possibly hints at their chance to crash the global economy with their self-serving antics. This ASC is sextiled by SP Pluto @1Tau56 Rx in SP 11th house of Hopes and Wishes (and Groups, Associations) and their sextile is in process of forming the base of a crisis-ridden YOD pattern, aka, a Finger of God, and representing a crossroads, turning point, special task, or a spiritual opportunity.

Since the GOP's roots are firmly planted within a mystical heritage, we might wish for them to take advantage of this 'spiritual opportunity' but this is probably not on the agenda of an organization so focused on attaining and maintaining worldly power.

Perhaps the midpoint picture potentials for the trio may add a bit of light to the current behavior of the Republican-Tea Party who seem determined to crash the US government because things aren't going their ideological way:

Pluto-ASC = Mercury (thinking; communicating): rationalizing thoughts and ideas to work outside the law (ex: government shutdown over the ACA, a settled law)--and I would add, blurting them all over my TV; a mental outlook that is used to destroy or eliminate opponents (Munkasey); the urge to dominate others (Ebertin.)

There are several other factors of note in the Secondary Progressions and other Progressed charts of the Republican Party but that's all my blogging time for today.

10.1.13 @12 am Jupiter Rising: US government shutdown?

Looking at a horoscope set for the Capitol Building, October 1, 2013 @12 am edt, we find rising 11Can54 which brings up US natal Sun @13Cap19 (leadership, or, the leader.) Our national Venus and Jupiter have just arisen as a partial shutdown of the US government looms--unless a deal is reached in the hours prior to midnight tonight. If nothing else, this Utopian endeavor is adding to the distrust and lack of confidence the American people have in Washington DC as a federal centralized government--just as anarchists have long planned--bwa ha ha.

And given the ongoing battles over raising the debt ceiling to pay our already-incurred bills, the deficit (which has fallen by half under President Obama--as usual for a Democratic presidency), and other sticky wickets from the GOP wishlist, we may expect that tonight's possible shutdown isn't the worst of it for the balance of 2013 into 2014 promises to be sour grapes until the presidential agenda is weakened to the breaking point and an ideological point is made.

Obviously, the Republican Tea Party is not concerned that their dramatics undermine America's influence on the world stage, nor do they care a fig for the global economy which may collapse under their bossy boots. And we know that the fate of the American middle and working classes is of no moment as long as the GOP (working on behalf of international corporatists--the Koch Brothers come to mind) have their way. Which highway the Republican way plops us upon is our little red wagons for it's 'survival of the fittest' for the little Ayn Randers among us.

As you know, it's the Rand philosophy the Teas and Rs follow which favors 'death panels' for those who are 'too weak' to deserve life. That's part of why they despise New Deal programs so deeply--they allow the ill, small, and weak to live. Now I don't like typing such things as this, but there it is.

Banker Jupiter, Deceptive Neptune, Quarreling Mars, and The Drain

Now moneybags Jupiter @18Can21 in 1st house rises as well and rules the 6th house (via Sag) and the 10th house of Public Status/The Goal with the MC @22Pis23. This places US natal Neptune precisely on the IC (The HOW? point; Endings; The Drain) @22Vir23 which happens to be President Obama's natal Mars position and I'm certain you know that US natal Neptune veils and glamorizes the motivations and actions (Mars) of the president, making his motivation for action hazy and thus difficult to identify correctly. US natal Mars in Gemini is also triggered here due to our natal and problematic Mars-Neptune square of confused motivations and foggily misguided actions.

A midpoint picture may be extracted based on the MC-Neptune-Mars trio...Mars-Neptune = shutdown MC: losing contact defensively (Tyl); discontent; hopelessness; failure; weakness (Ebertin) yet these potentials may manifest in part or not at all. I see the trio as a hint of the uncertainty of Obama supporters who fear he will again concede too much to the Republicans now or in future battles. If ever the bromide, 'give an inch, they'll take a mile' should be followed by the White House, tonight's the night. Especially since Mitt Romney's 'Repeal Obamacare' presidential campaign was rejected by a majority of voters. And many of us think too much was conceded in the ACA to insurance companies, a sentiment behind much of the negative polling 'Obamacare' receives. Change the label and polling results improve.

Curiously there's an Angular midpoint of note--Uranus-Neptune, the Enlightenment duo which relates to their 1993 conjunction/s of new world order proportions--at MC (The Goal) so we have peculiar dispositions, inner vision, impassivity, and a potential for dissolution to consider. I believe this links the current circumstances to the Solar Eclipse of November 3, 2013 @11Sco15 for it contains Uranus-Neptune content and is within the time frame of all fiscal stalemates now being fought--and Scorpio is the sign of Big Business/Corporatism with the sign's natural house being the 8th of Shared Resources, Debt, Credit, Insurance, and Transformation.

Meanwhile, 12 am tonight occurs within an energetic, contentious Hour of Mars and Mars has just had a visit from the Moon (We the People), a planetary combo denoting emotional anger on our parts and quarrels (Mars) about changes (Moon) on Capitol Hill.

Yet how will things proceed? Well, the only applying Ptolemaic aspect of chart-ruler Moon (since Luna's conjunction with Mars in the 2nd house of the National Treasury has past by 12 am--it's exact at 10:03 pm edt @21Leo18--will a shutdown be averted around or just after that hour?) is a square with Venus in 5th house of Gambling and Speculation as Washington politicians flirt and gamble with America's credit rating and the NYSE's health.

On one level, a Moon-Venus square indicates trouble with the ladies and also success delayed due to lack of cooperation. Republicans' envy of President Obama in the Oval Office (a Venus reference) shows in their constant critiques and fussiness over him. Even so, current attempts to overcome interference provide stimulating challenges to the camera-ready varmints who play-act in this performance of Washington Political Theater.

Now I don't know about you, dear reader, but I've had more than enough of Capitol Hillers' 'stimulating challenges' which keep them obsessively occupied instead of working on behalf of We the People who pay them and pay for their gold-plated health insurance. But perhaps that's part of the point in their above-mentioned agenda to undermine and decrease the size of the US government until it can be "drowned in a bath tub".

In any case, wouldn't a forceful drowning be considered murder?

Sept 27, 2013: George Washington Library opens w Neptune to natal Sun

September 27, 2013 Mt. Vernon, New York 11:00 am edt

Today's opening ceremony of the long-awaited George Washington Library at Mt. Vernon has as its keynote speaker noted historian and author David McCullough and a host of VIPs in attendance.

Looking at the horoscope set for that hour and place, we find General Washington's natal Mars @23Sco13 rising, an apt cosmic picture of the man and his country. For more synchronicity we may consider the Sabian Symbol of today's position of rebellious Uranus @10Ari46 Rx...'11Aries' = "The President of the Country" and of course, George Washington remains America's archetypal image of that societal role.

America's natal 12th cusp also rises at 11:00 am with its areas of Politics, Back Room Deals, Large Institutions, Karma, Secret Enemies, and Self-Undoing in the mix.

The establishment of a presidential library to house and preserve Washington's papers is overdue and is set up as a major resource for scholars and students of American history with its contents available online. George Washington dreamed of this, and now, thanks to private donations, his dream becomes a reality today.

Many myths have been fed the American public through the centuries concerning George Washington so will access to his papers (which includes the first Acts of Congress, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights--serve to clear up the illusions we have about him? Or will the solar cult of personality remain intact?

Silver-Screened Neptune Reflects His Image

Perhaps the current position of transiting Neptune Rx will lead to a better understanding of our Founding Father and his goals, but uh-oh! Today's Neptune @3Pis09 sits upon--some would say, masks--Washington natal Sun @3Pis19 in his 11th house of Groups, Associations, Hopes, and Wishes. His 'dream' (Neptune) is being spotlighted (Sun) today but will his holier-than-thou legend survive?

When watery Neptune floats across one's natal Sun, backs up and hits it again, it's a period when the individual's ego and 'Hero's Journey' is only hazily in focus. However, the motivation behind the founding of the library does emphasize Washington's life and goals but, as with us all, may be based on misguided or unrealistic notions--or, Neptune-to-natal-Sun describes the General's motivation many of which were inspired by Freemasonry values which makes his natal Sun in mystical, secretive Pisces, a sign sub-ruled by Neptune, quite difficult if not impossible to pin down.

Perhaps a continuation of the Washington Myth is the point.

(You've seen the image of George Washington wearing his Masonic apron, right? He owned two which are on display in a Masonic museum. Plus, cornerstones of Washington DC buildings were laid as part of Masonic ceremonies so is that the case with today's dedication of the George Washington Library?)

For me it will be interesting to see the results of various attempts by scholars and students to ferret out dependable information concerning our mystical Founding Father George Washington, who wasn't actually the country's first president--John Hanson was--a fact that fits perfectly within Washington's fishy if compassionate Piscean image that the American people have been taught to revere so highly.

October 18, 2013 Lunar Eclipse Reveals Jupiter at Pluto's North Node

The US is said to be reaching our debt ceiling limit on October 17, 2013 and the October 18th Lunar Eclipse, a Full Moon of culmination, is close enough to be used as a timer for this critical condition especially if the limit isn't raised and a default by the US government occurs. However, a continuing resolution may intervene and 'kick the can down the road', as they say in Washington, so I've chosen to primarily focus this article on the Obamacare situation with a brief nod toward the US economy.

As you see in this image, the Lunar Eclipse of October 18, 2013 perfects at 7:37:39 pm edt in Washington DC during a Solar Hour and across the 6/12 victim-savior axis.

Rising is 23Tau05, the degree of the Great Conjunction of societal planets Jupiter and Saturn on May 28, 2000 and since their cycle relates on one level to finances, it may be important to note that, given current budgetary and fiscal battles in Washington, their recent trine to one another is a positive influence that has lost its strength. Meanwhile, Jupiter remains exalted in Cancer, a sign closely associated with America (our natal Venus-Jupiter-Sun, then Mercury Rx in Cancer)

, and a sign of business, home, and security interests. Cold Saturn continues its trod through business-oriented Scorpio where Mr. Austerity can be obstinate, tenacious, secretive, and probing as he attempts to hold onto the past and the status quo.

Chart-ruler Venus (via money sign Taurus) makes no major applying aspects in the chart, a condition that makes her sign and house position prominent considerations. At 12Sag12, Venus conjoins US natal Ascendant (July 4, 1776 5:10 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA) and denotes issues of valuations and evaluations (US dollar on the wane as the global currency?), smaller amounts of money, diplomacy, blind justice, and relationships, alliances and partnerships. The latter is emphasized by Venus' 7th house position of Legal Partnerships and Open Enemies, and her attraction principle while in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius may indicate foreign attention garnered, cooperation enhanced, and a general condition of good fortune (off-shored or outsourced jobs returning to the US?)

However, transit Venus has recently opposed US natal Uranus (8Gem55) which signifies a period of being out-of-sync with others when trying to be different or unusual for its own sake which can backfire ("Green Eggs and-" a Big "-Ham", Ted Cruz?), and scapegoating is in the mix. Thankfully, that particular period is ending until Venus comes round again in a year or so. But she will soon oppose US natal Mars (22Gem) when the 'battle of the sexes' will again in the news (Republicans' 'war on women'?), plus, this transit has supported America's now-separated Venus-Mars opposition in our national progressed chart (SP Venus @23Ari29 now in SP 8th house/SP Mars @18Lib23 Rx in 2nd house of the National Treasury: '19Libra' = "A Gang of Robbers in Hiding," a degree spotlighted since 2006 when US Mars turned retrograde by progression at this degree--and you know their names.)

In progress, SP Venus also conjoins our SP Part of Fortune yet SP Chiron, The Wound, is also posited in SP 8th house @17Ari23. I think most people agree that America has been wounded in the financial arena in recent decades in order to bolster the wealth of a select few who are corrupt enough to make the 'Big Picture' happen. If only plutocratic politicians and their weasely corporate backers would get out of the way of Chiron's healing function!

Now while it's true that chart-ruler Venus makes no major (Ptolemaic) aspect to another planet in this horoscope, there is a sesqui-square (135 degrees) between the Moon (the people; the public) and Venus. This aspect may be considered a minor irritant but also denotes a complex square-within-a-square condition which on one level may signify the confusing elements of signing up for health insurance under the provisions of 'Obamacare' (as of October 1st--see link below.)

Some regions are already reporting delays due to computer glitches or other problems, though of course any new law that establishes such a massive program will obviously have its problems and with the October 18th Lunar Eclipse Moon posited in the 12th house of Large Institutions such as Hospitals, the Sun is in the 6th house of Health, Service, and Work--along with 'signing-up' Mercury in regenerating Scorpio and associated in the Greek era with the Rod of Aesclapius, or Aesculapia--so we may expect a few revelations to be spotlighted concerning the 6/12 departments of life which will include Politics and Back Room Deals (12th house) as well as health concerns.

Of interest is the position of asteroid Aesculapia at the moment of the Lunar Eclipse: 6Gem07 Rx, rising and near US natal Uranus which possibly denotes the coming of a new phase in health care once the two conjoin, and a contact soon with Midas, the gold-hoarder, which you see here penned into the 1st house @9Gem51, Rx, and parallel planet Jupiter. A parallel is similar to a conjunction and is handy as a timing device.

Another health-related asteroid and myth, Hygeia--a goddess actually--has risen already @10Tau08 Rx so is not very noticeable in 12th house of Hospitals between the South Node and the current Solar Eclipse degree of 19Tau31, the 15 South Saros cycle of which this Lunar Eclipse is a part. And as you know, Venus-ruled Taurus is the sign of the physical body and of preservation and growth.

Now because we're discussing the 6/12 axis and Full Moons (as Lunar Eclipses are) are always about relationships and awareness, perhaps a question could be: can the Sun (leaders) be saviors of a victimized public (Moon)? In Politics? Possibly yet there's an automatic problem since so much of how we're being victimized by Capitol Hill politicians is hidden within their self-serving theatrics. And crazy-train GOPers seem totally unwilling to accept or to act upon a realistic level. *See below for a quote from a famous writer who shares natally the Sun Libra-Moon Aries blend of energies of this Lunar Eclipse.

Besides all that, the good news is that the Lunar Eclipse chart contains what may be the basis of a solution especially since the current Solar Eclipse theme is a release of tension: the T-Square created by the Sun-Moon opposition with its energies released through the 3rd house Jupiter in protective Cancer and which indicates 'success in joint ventures'. That Jupiter conjoins the North Node, a Jupiterian point of encounters, of Pluto (19/20 Cancer) shows mass destiny of large groups of people and gigantic projects that make lots of money.

Naturally 3rd house Communications and Short Distance Travel are highlighted and will increase under benevolent Jupiter's rays which are aided by the Lunar Eclipse--either to reveal Jupiterian obstacles, both financial and ideological (which some prefer to keep hidden), or, by the T-Square forming an active system of inspiration concerning the vision of how good things could be. I believe we're already hearing President Obama and others doing just this as they promote the benefits of Obamacare which, if the program turns out to be successful, the president says will not be called 'Obamacare' for very long.

And I'm certain you know why for you've seen the Contrarian Party in action ad nauseum, right?

Now wouldn't it be helpful to the American people if the sore-loser Republican Party decided to actually govern and join in efforts to improve any glitches in what is already settled law? After all, if the Tea Party-led GOP is correct about how disastrous the insurance reforms of this law are, it will at some point soon be obvious. And if they are wrong, Obamacare will go the way of Social Security and Medicare and become a popular addition to American society and all the GOP belly-aching will be shown as the bad-faith campaign it really is.

Sept 24, 2013: Pres. Obama's UN Address w UN natal chart

In New York City today during a Mercury Hour, from 10:07 am edt until 10:52 am edt, President Obama addressed the General Assembly of the United Nations. The president's Lunar Return to 3Gem21 occurred at 10:09 am edt so the separating trine with the Sun and the separating square from Neptune affect his natal Moon as well as today's Moon. The ongoing Neptune square to natal Moon denotes a difficult time for establishing steadfast alliances, and as you know, the entire world of nations is said to be angry at US spying on governments and world leaders via the NSA. Neptune is associated with spying just as is master spy Pluto.

At 10:07 am edt (NYC), 10Sco26 was rising along with authoritative Saturn @9Sco19, North Node of public contact @8Sco14, and orating Mercury @23Lib25, a degree that conjoins Arcturus (taking a different approach) and Spica (a potential for brilliance, but also The Spike.)

Venus @15Sco15, the Eagle Point, was on the rise as well--in company with transiting asteroid Toro (power, including nuclear) but with Mars as the chart and speech ruler (along with Pluto @8Cap59 as sub-ruler) at Midheaven--MC, The Goal), we find that American militarism was certainly on display for the world to see. Need an example? "The United States is prepared to use force in the region," President Obama asserted. As if anyone doubted it.

Plus, in a curious synchronicity, asteroid Atlantis ('America', but also 'where we feel doomed' and 'abuse of power') conjoins Mars and MC at 10:07 am edt. The MC degree of 18Leo53 puts the 'Mother of All Eclipses' that Nostradamus touted centuries ago smack dab at MC and is in the same Saros series (1 North) as the Pre-Natal Eclipse of the UN! The UN's PE manifestation @16Can57 is marked in the 4th house of this natal chart and today its degree is triggered by tr Jupiter @17Can34 in 9th house, thus expanding or increasing 1N's influence on current events.

1N themes include 'unexpected events put pressure on relationships or groups; issues loom large but it's unwise to make decisions because information is distorted and possibly false' (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology). This eclipse last occurred on August 11, 1999 and ushered in the New Millennium of terrorism used to control populations, not the least of whom is the American public. 1N's next manifestation will be on August 21, 2017 @29Leo, which conjoins Royal Star Regulus, which, btw, is at MC (00Vir31--Regulus has precessed to 00Vir+) when President Obama finished speaking today at 10:52 am. Undermining Neptune (The Masses; The Media) @3Pis13 Rx conjoined the IC (Foundation; Endings) of the speech's chart.

To my cynical ears, it seemed the president hinted at more violent terror attacks being perpetrated for global government types will do anything to fulfill their long term goal. And many Americans now admit--however reluctantly--that false flag ops have been used by our government to emotionally inspire us to march into ill-advised wars.

And yet, diplomatic Venus was on hand this morning to 'sugar coat the message' as much as possible yet her jealous and vengeful nature is visible quite clearly whenever the planet is posited in vengeful, spying Scorpio--ruled by the forceful duo of Mars-Pluto. Scorpio is the sign where another Solar Eclipse will manifest on November 3, 2013 @11Sco15. Around that time and after, there is potential for more hidden meanings and inconvenient secrets to be unveiled and if you click to view the eclipse horoscope set for Washington DC, you'll see that warrior Mars @11Vir11 is at MC, a militaristic echo of today's UN Address. The November 3, 2013 eclipse will conjoin the Ascendant of today's speech chart--the speech itself--but with its Sabian Symbol as a possible saving grace: '11Sco' = "A Drowning Man Rescued." A totalitarian agenda which we're now seeing implemented before our very eyes as the US war machine marches across the globe and the West challenges the East for global dominance. The ancient fight continues between Abraham's sons...

Please note that in my haste, I neglected to add to the chart that it's a Mars Hour, and that Pluto is apex planet of a second midpoint picture (Venus-Uranus = Pluto) which adds vibes of notoriety, fated unions, and exhibitionism to the character of the UN.

WTC 9/11/01: Mystery of the Missing Gold Bullion (video)

Now you and I have previously discussed here the mysterious 'put options' that were traded just in time for the WTC attacks of 9/11/01 and the ($1.7 billion in) missing gold bullion that had been stored in the basement/s of the WTC buildings--until that morning when thousands of people were murdered.

Turns out that people's lives weren't all that was stolen for it seems a tremendous heist took place on 9/11/01 along with massive insider trading perpetrated by major corporations--the usual suspects. Surprising?

Here are details if you're curious, plus, a 5-minute video on the subject which you might find quite illuminating:

You know, I always thought that transit Pluto at 12Sag conjunct US natal Ascendant (the nation itself) on 9/11/01 meant that the US government was the more powerful actor in the Saturn-Pluto opposition (with tr Saturn conjunct US natal Descendant of Partnership, Others, and Open Enemies.) So with the above info factoring in the 'major corporations', including big banks (that remain 'too big to fail' especially since tax payers were forced to bail them out against our good judgment), it seems to me to indicate underworld Pluto representing the wealthy actors with riches hidden in secret places, and Saturn, planet of government, law, and business, as the old order they were determined to collapse by way of a "new Pearl Harbor".

And some if not all big banks are said to be launderers of drug money with Scorpionic Pluto a master at drug trafficking, as you know, for it has supplied a large part of his wealth for centuries.

Yes, The Tower card in the Tarot (#16) comes handily to mind as does the Pre-Natal Eclipse Saros Series of George W. Bush, the 2 New North, which manifested prior to his birth and again prior to the 2000 presidential 'election' (or, selection, if you prefer.) The theme of the 2 New North happens to be: 'a sudden collapse of plans or lifestyle; confusion may reign; the long term effects are of rebuilding and transformation after the dust has settled; the reshaping will have far-reaching effects; a person's direction is changed through the sudden collapse of an existing structure' (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology, my italics.)

Perhaps you agree that it wasn't only people's lives including Bush's and the Twin Towers that changed on 9/11 but the 'existing structure' that was transformed was the United States of America via subsequent wars fought on credit card, the US 'Patriot' Act, and the cluster f**k they call (in Germanic fashion), Homeland 'Security'. And remember how propagandists touted the inability of spy agencies to "connect the dots" before 9/11? Knitting the agencies together was part of the plan as well yet even now they still use whenever needed their lack of dot-connecting as an excuse for failure.

And of course, 9/11/01 rippled directly toward the Bush-Cheney Heist of December 2008 when they cleaned us out before leaving the White House. You know they did.

November 3, 2013 Solar Eclipse: Enlightenment and Awakening?

Here's what I posted here in August concerning the 16 North Solar Eclipse which manifests again on November 3, 2013--my post was actually about Mary Shelley's dream one stormy night which became the basis of her chilling novel, Frankenstein:

The November 3, 2013 Solar Eclipse @11Sco15 (in 12th house of Politics, Large Institutions, and Karma when the chart is set for Washington DC) is of the 16 North Saros Series and carries a tone of Uranus-trine-Neptune, the pair of Enlightenment planets.

If you've read any of my posts on Solar Eclipses you know one of my favorite resources is Bernadette Brady's book, Predictive Astrology (aka, The Eagle and the Lark). However, the date of the initial eclipse in the 16N Series is apparently incorrect since I can find no Solar Eclipse--only a New Moon @6Pis02--for the date of 'February 15, 1599' though an eclipse did manifest on January 26, 1599 (NS) @6AQ19--and it has Uranus (23Ari25) trine Neptune (24Leo53 Rx), both creative Fire signs. This is important because the initial (beginning) eclipses in each Saros Series continue to flavor subsequent manifestations of that Series, and the 16N on November 3, 2013 brings forward the Uranus-Neptune tone of their trine.

Utopian Ideals: Uranus (Science; Genius) meets Neptune (the Unconscious; Dreams)

So with its vibes beginning to be felt in late October-early November, 16N relates to 'a sense of inspiration; illumination of ideas; sudden release of material from the unconscious which brings with it a great deal of insight; these ideas are good and it would be wise to act upon them' (paraphrasing Brady).

A trine between generational planets Uranus and Neptune denotes intellectual awareness that will accept or reject ideas believed by previous generations. Ideologies, theories, and dogma are all subject to evaluation in the realms of politics, philosophy, and religion. Ideas and plans that will radically alter destiny are under deep suspicion and critical eyes focus on past enforcement upon humanity of ideologies that were expected to be blindly and obediently accepted.

The November 2013 Solar Eclipse of the 16N Series will bring to mind the period between 1938 and 1944 (when Uranus and Neptune were trine) and the mass hysteria induced by the likes of Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito. Apathy and indolence (trine) of the era allowed the destruction of many lives and futures to be implemented by dictators who, like modern-day globalists, were determined to force a 'new order' for the entire world.
