Planetary Cycles and Eclipses of 1968

Obviously the year 1968 is imprinted by ripples from the mid-1960s Great Conjunction/s of Uranus and Pluto with tyrannical, explosive, and violent unrest flavors of a titanic generational clash, and the last few years the world has been under the influence of the Cardinal Uranus-Pluto square from that cycle in which issues and ills of the 1960s have been grievously stirred up (so they can be dealt with--but...politics).

Even Jupiter and Uranus entered the collective scene of 1968 via their one conjunction on December 12, 1968 @3Libra which conjoined America's natal Saturn-Neptune midpoint of oppressed classes and social ills and added narrow-mindedness, egoism, excitability, and upset to the secret (Neptune) government (Saturn) picture.

Plus, one of the planetary pairs of Plutocracy met on October 13, 1968 @23Virgo--corporate Jupiter and Pluto. This conjunction occurred on US natal Neptune (mass media; propaganda) which helped to veil the true intentions of Jupiter-Pluto plutocrats, adding potentials for deception, seduction, cheating the people, omitting key facts, lies by omission, and suffering harm or loss through others without being aware of it. (Ebertin; Tyl). Are we aware of it now?

Naturally the pair of plutocracy, oppression, primal violence, racism, tyranny, exploitation, misogyny, Capitalism, and other -isms was active in 1968: Pluto-Chiron, a natal midpoint that conjoins our natal Ceres (events and conditions that affect large masses of people; safety and security issues) in America's natal horoscope of 1776.

For deep background influences during 1968, two Solar Eclipses also apply:

March 28, 1968 @8Aries an eclipse occurred in the 6 North Saros Series with themes of relationship to authority (father) figures; accepting commitments that present; the need to take responsibility and control.

Then on September 22, 1968, an even more descriptive eclipse occurred at a critical-crisis 29th degree of 29Virgo in the 6 South Saros Series with themes of being forceful and taking power; manic energy with great force or strength manifesting in relationships; sudden events; huge effort in a group activity (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology).

Yes, as Thom relates, above, Nixon gained control of the Oval Office by inventing a law-and-order issue to run on, and tragically for our citizens his 'huge effort in a group activity' continues to reverberate to this day.

Both 6N and 6S manifested most recently in 2004 and will do again in the prominent year of 2022 when America will experience her first-ever Pluto Return/s to natal degree of 27Cap33. And 2022 predictions are off the table at Stars Over Washington though a few may eventually peek out from under the table!

Based on her natal planets and my long term observations of her and Bill's past and present actions, I would have to say that Hillary Clinton is about taking power and following the global government script which will make pretense necessary on progressive (and other) issues. There are many ruses that are typically used in Washington DC--legislatively, certainly (well, she tried to get the bill passed, etc, as Farron mentions, above) and it seems to this astrologer that her natal conservative and stilted Mercury-Saturn square is prominent when it comes to campaign promises and other rhetoric, platforms, negotiations, deals, and other Mercurial endeavors. Her rhetoric may temporarily shift but underlying views Do Not.

And if we also consider the Fixed (rigid, set in its ways) energy of secretive Scorpio (including her stationary Mercury @21Scorpio and conservative authoritarian Saturn in Leo near her Mars-Pluto conjunction--more intense, focused Scorpio notes!) then changing her views and plans is not only difficult for her but, if pushed, represents a superficial exercise resentfully attempted in order to achieve her goal of controlling others and consolidating her power--in the White House.

But that's only one voter's opinion!

July 7, 2016: it's been a while since I posted a live broadcast here and am not certain it will work. I hope Thom Hartmann's July 7th broadcast can be re-viewed whenever. Because with outrageous police shootings again in the news, I'm speechless and can only ponder one more time about how America's natal Mars turned retrograde by progression in 2006 @19Libra with the warrior planet's aggression and gun barrels aimed at the heads and hearts of innocent citizens reaching for their wallets or cell phones.

For all but the privileged, a police state is in place and tragically, US Mars Rx is an 80-year condition, folks, assuming that there's some form of America in existence by 2086 (white supremacy police officers notwithstanding):

A Curious Synchronicity: Summer 2010 and the War of 1812

With today being July 4th I've been reading about the War of 1812 which I know very little about. Fought between American patriots and British forces, the Royal Navy, and certain Native American tribes wanting a federation of their own (with British encouragement in order to limit US expansion), the War began on June 18, 1812 and ended by Britain and American signing the Treaty of Ghent. It was events of this war that inspired Francis Scott Key to pen The Star Spangled Banner, our national anthem.

And what is the curious synchronicity between the War of 1812 and the summer of 2010? Perhaps you remember another act of British aggression that occurred in Summer 2010--the Deepwater Horzozon Oil "Spill" in the Gulf of Mexico which we lay at the feet of the British Petroleum Oil Company. Or should I say, the BP Corporation? Here's my original post on BP's oil disaster which includes the Independence horoscope of Mexico and the horoscope of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Fiasco itself with power asteroid Hidalgo rising.

Both events, the start of the War on June 18, 1812 and the massive 2010 oil leak (in which Halliburton also played a major role) that attacked the US coastline occurred under the influence of Solar Eclipses in the 12 South Saros Series.

And so the theme of 12 South applies to the War of 1812 of British aggression and the BP oil attack of 2010--the first event involved France, the second involved Mexico: long term draining issues at first seem worse then suddenly clear with successful outcomes. (Brady's Predictive Astrology.) In 1812, 12S fell @22Pisces which suggests sea and naval action; in 2010 12S fell @19Cancer, another watery, oceanic hint plus 19 Cancer+ rounded up hits a difficult fixed star, Castor with its potentials for murder, loss, and/or the crippling of limbs (A. Louis). BP cut corners and people died, if you remember. And of course, the financial issue of trade lies beneath both events.

So it seems that yours truly is on Britain's case this Independence Day! And here I'm fussing against The Empire in spite of the genealogy research I've done lately into my own English roots. Could it be I fight against myself?

The secrets of gas giant Jupiter are awaiting discovery, thinks NASA scientists.

Naturally as an astrology novice I wanted to open my Solar Fire software to see where asteroid Juno and planet Jupiter were and are in the Tropical Zodiac on those dates. Curious? Here is what I found along with observations on the current Saturn transit to America's natal Ascendant at the 12Sag degree of "A Flag Turns Into an Eagle That Crows":

August 5, 2011: Jupiter @9Taurus21; Juno @2Libra38 (conjunct US natal Midheaven, the Goal Point, in our 'Sibly chart' of July 4, 1776 with 12 Sagittarius rising--where transit Saturn Rx is again crossing, a period when the US is expected to take responsibility for past and present actions rather than denying guilt, when anxiety is evident in the populace and also within government officials (ex: Hillary being allegedly held to account by the FBI email server probe), and when karma becomes the b*tch that she is as our nation (and other nations and peoples via their own neglect of Saturnian principles such as honesty and reliability) reaps what's been sown.

Tragically for the world's innocent who are caught in a round of the power elite's endless retaliation, the reaping can include blow back thanks to corporate Washington's export of violence, fraud, occupation, oppression, and globalism. And as Thomas Jefferson knew when it comes to America, 'God's justice cannot sleep forever'.

July 4, 2016: on Earth it's the dark of a New Moon @12Cancer with Jupiter at the critical/crisis degree of 17Virgo38; Juno is again in Venus-ruled Libra but now @29Libra47, a critical/crisis 29th degree that strains toward Mars-Pluto-ruled sign of Scorpio. All this makes me wonder, what hath man wrought upon humanity? Especially since karma is the b that she is.

The Sept 1, 2016 Solar Eclipse manifesting early as Hillary meets the FBI

Although it's only July 3, 2016, there have been a myriad of early manifestations of the realism/tackling the truth/seeing an old situation for what it really is themes contained within the September 1, 2016 Solar Eclipse @9Virgo. One is an article (based on a book) about seeing the Invisible Hand of Washington for what it really is. And the hand is rather crabby and grabby, as you may imagine.

As previously mentioned, the upcoming 19 North Solar Eclipse in Virgo, a Zodiacal sign intimately associated with the founding of Masonic Washington DC, will provide background influence for both Election Day 2016 and Inauguration 2017 as their 'Pre-Natal Eclipse Saros Series' (aka, PE).

However, the July RNC and DNC will both fall under the auspices of the current 18 South Solar Eclipse which occurred on March 9th @18Pis55. Its themes include anguished endings/separations/partings but new situations lead to positive outcomes. It will be interesting to see how the political conventions turn out with such a background influence--and how Hillary Clinton fares after her 'interview' with the FBI on Saturday (7.2.16). Astrologically things didn't look overly negative for her imho--quite positive indicators actually, and with interviewing, testifying Mercury out-of-bounds, she's probably in the political, financial, and social realms of untouchable. That's if confronting Mars @23Scorpio conjoining her natal South Node, a Saturnian point of separation and neurosis, only shows her again meeting (SN) with law officials (Mars) of the FBI.

Perhaps the September 19N Solar Eclipse with its 'truth tackling' ability will aid the outcome of her email server (Benghazi) scandal and no charges will be filed against the 2016 candidate who has asserted that she's 'the outsider' in the race because she would be the first-ever woman president--and lady Venus as Evening Star in November requires that an outsider is the victor!
