Since the mainstream media didn't cover the protests of December 16, it took a while to locate a video of last Thursday's snowy anti-war protests at the White House with war veterans, journalist Chris Hedges, and Pentagon Papers leaker Daniel Ellsberg speaking, participating, and being arrested.

When the people are not listened to by their government, this is, as Chris Hedges points out, what's left (as my Baby Boomer generation well knows.) It does me good to see our younger generations get involved though many more protests and marches will be necessary if people can put down their iPhones long enough to take action and save our country!

Sounds as if a summit breakdown may be afoot in Lisbon such as with the recent Copenhagen climate summit.

Concerning NATO's Lisbon summit, Der Spiegel has published an interesting interview with German diplomat Hans-Friedrich von Ploetz. Be aware that, as usual, political propaganda may peek through.

As a chilling teaser, here's an excerpt from the Ploetz interview which for best reading may require a 1984 gong banging in the back of our minds; Herr Ploetz speaks:

"After a period of arrogance, humility has surprisingly returned to NATO. Even if the alliance is more militarily powerful than anyone else, we don't want to be the world's policeman. Though military power is indispensable, it can't cure everything. For that reason, we're developing a new security concept and implementing it with suitable partners."

They "don't want to be the world's policeman"! Really? "Humility"? Is this a joke? Perhaps not, but if so, it is very surprising and hardly credible.

Ploetz goes on the speak of Madeleine Albright's role in NATO's security/weapons rigamarole with NATO (Apr 4, 1949) touting a "NATO renaissance" now influenced by a supposedly humble streak suddenly appearing in NATO's DNA so that it's now possible to enjoy a renaissance "in terms of confidence-building measures, disarmament, and arms control."

Now whose arms will be under NATO's control isn't clear to me; whose confidence is in need of building? dunno; from whom will 'disarmament' be expected? Hmmm...from all sides would be this peacenik mom's ideal. Such a dreamer!

Naturally, the War in Afghanistan will be on the Lisbon summit agenda, too, as the US continues to pretend that arming a population in the Middle East with weapons which may end up in the arsenals of anyone possessing the strength to commandeer them. (These people are crazy.)

Plus, it's being reported that Russia-NATO relations are on the mend after being frozen during the war in Georgia, with the US perhaps acting as the foot-stomping pouter in the bunch. The summit will be held in Lisbon, Portugal on Nov 19-20 of this week.

On Sunday Nov 21, 2010, a day after the summit ends (one assumes), a Full Moon perfects upon a 29th crisis-degree at 5:27:18 pm UT +00:00 in Lisbon:

And if humility really has 'returned' to NATO (when did they have it before?), good may accrue for all humanity. Yet given the way these bossy cusses and social tinkerers have handled themselves so far, the question of this potential for moderation will have to remain open-ended around Stars Over Washington for now.

If you've read this blog more than once or twice, then you may be aware that I consider the Attacks of 9/11 to be either a false flag op compliments of the US government, or at the very least, 9/11 was enabled by Washington.

So you know I love this: the first 9/11 billboard advising us to question the truth has been put up in California, apparently on Thursday, August 5, 2010.

If architects and engineers doubt the official version of that day, then why won't the rest of us?

It Still Matters What Really Happened

After all, the 9/11 attacks allegedly gave 'legitimacy' to the SCOTUS-installed Bush-Cheney dual presidency and are still being used by President Obama as Washington's 'justification' for invading the Middle East, a justification that I intuited was bogus from the start.

Plus, the US has a history of setting up explosive events (false flag ops) in order to ramp up the emotions of Americans (and make us feel our interests and safety are at stake) so we'll march to war to do the bidding of the power elite. The ploy has worked so well for them in the past, why stop, right?

So let's question the official story. Because 9/11/01 is most definitely one of those emotionally manipulative, explosive events.

With a spirit of full disclosure concerning what the US government purports to be doing in my name, I'm posting the WikiLeaks Afghan War Diary 2004 - 2010 link which I had to switch to Firefox as my browser to obtain.

By the time you click to read what the Pentagon has been up to in this privatized-for-profit war in distant Holy Lands - the link may be broken, or links within the page may not be Live. The site may be taken down or otherwise sabotaged.

This will be primarily because the White House and the Pentagon are understandably upset that this massive information dump has occurred and as one of the Vietnam-era Flower Power Generation, perhaps I may be forgiven for remembering fondly Dr. Daniel Ellsberg and his leaking of The Pentagon Papers which helped mightily to change the debate on the Vietnam War, eventually ending US aggression.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has compared the leaking of The Pentagon Papers with the documents he has recently released on his site and - weeks ago - made available to 3 newspapers including The Guardian and Der Spiel.

Yet it seems that so far, the White House isn't 'challenging the veracity' of some of the reports such as the info on Pakistan's ISI spy service working and planning with the Taliban while the Pakistani government facetiously takes billions of dollars of 'aid' from American coffers to allegedly 'fight' the Taliban.

It is said that the newspapers' publishing of the 'Afghan War Logs' have been coordinated with WikiLeaks. This may be considered an 'attack' on the White House and Pentagon - on the nation, actually. The 'national security' card is already being played and will win out, I suppose.

Well! It seems that Sunday evening's Full Moon @ 3AQ00 has brought to light many transgressions which are unavoidable in war. These Bush-Cheney wars were, however, completely avoidable in both cases as they were neocon warhawk wars of choice.

President Obama has so far stuck with the set course toward imperialism and plunder.

My previous post mentions that the Full Moon of July 25, 2010 is/was a Buck Moon, and I wondered where the 'buck stops'...turns out, the buck stops with America and is driven by our government's unquenchable thirst for more power, more resources, more territory, and more wealth.

Here's a video of Rep. Ron Paul speaking in support of Rep. Dennis Kucinich's House concurrent resolution 248 to withdraw US boots from Afghanistan by Dec 31, 2010 but as you know, the vote tallied 65 - 356 on behalf of keeping our resources and fortunes tied down in Afghanistan (and protecting gas pipelines?) for the duration.

Well, if you're like me, you think the invasion, given cover by the attacks of 9/11, was meant to be a permanent occupation all along - and being there 8 1/2 years seems to support this over arching plan. Normally I don't like to interpret Sabian Symbols here in close relationship to the subject of my post since everyone should be free to associate the symbolic word pictures as they wish according to their own insights and opinions. But considering the seriousness of the president's actions as he jumps on the ruin-and-bankrupt-America-by-war bandwagon, I shall sassily do so now. You don't have to agree, I'm just telling you how the Solar Eclipse influence seems to me to be affecting us at this important juncture, this crossroads where we're taking, imo, the wrong turn.

The American people have inherited a tendency to 'solve' things by going to war once our emotions have been played upon for a 'cause.' This is a hold-over from revolutionary times. Our military forces have been ably organized and trained - anti-constitutional though they may be as a 'standing army' - and are the best in the world, of which we may be justly proud.

Yet arrogance has crept into our national psyche with our plutocratic leadership egging it on with ideas and dreams of 'Manifest Destiny' as if we have a right above all others to expand into the world - into the territories of others. You know the history of the US government vs Native Americans, so I don't have to mention its tragedies and sorrows.

Our first overseas invasion - of innocent HAWAII, for cryin' out loud - was inspired by Robber Barons' visions of sugary profits which I've written about previously; you may view the chart with details of the Jan 16, 1893 coup, if you wish. You'll see the Sun was conjunct US natal Pluto 27Cap33. Sun-to-Pluto is a transit of formidable aggression and strong will with power issues highlighted. Needless to say, Hawaii didn't stand a chance.

Besides that, 'assumptions of superiority' are against what America generally describes as its 'Christian' heritage, because all people are unique yet equal before God's Throne and we each have a true condition before God - not how we think of ourselves or what anyone else believes about us, but what He knows we are.

And His is the only opinion that matters in the end - not spins from dictators calling other dictators 'evil' or objectifying entire races of peoples in order to 'justify' taking their lands and resources, or otherwise oppressing them. (Dropping bombs upon them I would include in this category which, of course, brings in a little old Commandment against killing.)

And so Americans are induced to betray themselves by falsely assuming that the Universe allows us actions which are somehow above the rest of Earth's inhabitants as we do so...as if reaping what we sow - the law of karma - only applies to others, not to us.

Astrologically, America is said to be highly influenced by freedom-loving, chaos-bringing Uranus, discovered by William Herschel in 1781 - between the American and French Revolutions (both of which were started by Rothschildian machinations and other world domination types who use chaos situations they engineer as game changers when it suits their notions and NWO whims.)

Then we come to the Illumination Point conjunct US Sec PLUTO in Capricorn; Pluto, a signature on one level of the 'secret hand' that directed our nation's founding, and I believe, still directs in secret conferences with goals of their own which are against America-as-we-know-it's best interests. Thus, they high-handedly expand the Pentagon's war machine in spite of the majority's wishes.

These plutocrats are the ivory-towered power elite of the shadow government (Neptune/Saturn) who had to sign off on Barack Obama as president or he wouldn't be in the White House. He plays our 'propaganda-catapulter-in-chief' whose oration attempt on the evening of Dec 1, 2009 is considered by many to be unconvincing rhetoric. It was definitely not his most uplifting orating performance, but look at the sorry material he had to work with. And look how empty his assurance of when our troops would leave - made for the American public's benefit, as well as for others'.

So ramping up war in the Middle East to control the region's lucrative resources is an opportunity for Pentagon big dogs to justify their jobs, keep the US military industrial complex and private contractors in business, and follow the world domination script of the ruling plutocracy. And of course, other political concerns are at work as well.

But you know - it's primarily their selfishly crass and morbid 'exploitation of others' that grips my heart most sadly.

Add to that the Grand Cross pattern (highlighted in pink) which provides an outlet of the energies of Sun, Uranus, Mars/Chiron (sacred warrior), at Mc. This gives a sign coloration for the Mc where the outlet is (because it's a point, not a planet) - in this case, Capricorn which is known for being difficult, if not impossible, to mold into someone else's pattern.

Having 4 planets in Cap myself, I can assure you from personal experience that no one 'changes' or molds a Cap into anything it doesn't want to be. So with the Jan 15, 2010 Solar Eclipse at n Mc (and considering its flavor as given above), it may take another leader than Karzai to 'live up to' what the West sees as Afghanistan's ultimate character, direction, and detiny in the world.

(Congress is gearing up within their ongoing political mummeries to disappoint us now on health insurance reform, for Congress willingly spends massive amounts of fiat monies for waging wars, but not for the American people's needs which "cost too much.")

Now please don't take my prediction to the bank or anything, but if the war in Afghanistan drags on for many years, just remember you read it here as typed by this reluctant astrologer who admittedly and maternally can never see any war as beneficial for the common good. If the war doesn't drag on, I'll love to be wrong. Yet the total of US forces won't be in place until late 2010, reports NPR today, so get ready for a long haul, imho.

The aspects from the Grand Cross explain in part why I think it's a waste of our manpower and financial resources to escalate, yet the power elite will make mega-bucks from Afghani gas by protecting pipelines, etc. Therefore they should be the ones to pay for more war. Set up a military draft for the children of warmongering senators and congressmen and that should tamp down their gung-ho jingoism, if not derail it altogether.

And so my conscience adds:

Dear Afghanis, if you can, please forgive the American people for our tragically misguided leadership headed by neocon Zionists who have hijacked our nation, for the whole world suffers under their ruthless and overbearing hubris of imperialism being fed by visions of world domination.

So once again, Afghanistan plays the role of a domino in their "Great Game" of power.

Noam Chomsky's BBC interview of Nov 17

BBC News broadcast an interview on Nov 17 with linguist and government critic Noam Chomsky who is calling the war in Afghanistan immoral.

As a mother I ask you: aren't they all? Even if a war is begun with 'moral justification' (and ours never are anymore, are they? if they ever were), war contains horrors such as we hear from our returning soldiers, if we listen and if they can mention them without losing their minds or committing suicide.

And that's not counting what our techno-bombing victims experience - I refer mainly to the women and children who are so cynically put in harm's way by both sides. Now that's Evil.

So I'm posting a link to Professor Chomsky's interview because there are multiple YouTube videos to cover what he has to say. Now does President Obama listen to him, by any chance?

Some Basic Astrology Describes Our Current Condition

America on the downside, Republican Party on the downside - and both have had recent Secondary Progressed Full Moons when a culmination is reached and one must lower one's sights, not escalate them into war and more war - especially with America's Mars, the god of war and indicator of the military - now retrograde by progression!

This is a duh and double-duh situation being described through the lens of Astrology: our nation has to come to terms with the fact that it is our own nation and citizens that we should be making the most directed efforts for (Mars) while counting our blessings for what little our politicians have yet to ruin, spoil, and steal.

When anyone or any entity is in the Full Moon phase and waning, it marks a Save What's Left phase, not an expansion stage, and the longer it takes us to act maturely about the reality of our true condition, the worse our nation's landing will be.
