Now if you mosey over to Celestial Space you'll find Dipali Desai's details and insights concerning Monday's Full Moon @00AQ05 which conjoins the degree of the US Inaugural Sun (the president) and which denotes a fulfillment or culmination (Full Moon), or at least, an awareness of something relating to the White House and/or its presidential endeavors and relationships.

Will more inconvenient secrets be revealed under the rays of Monday's Full Moon which also conjoins President Obama's natal Jupiter Rx? Well, in addition, transiting Mercury Rx, planet of reporters, young people, messages, orations, trade, commerce, travel, and plans, now sits atop US natal Sun as you read this!

Yes, for a Political Astrology blog, the above is a very general assessment of the July 22nd solar-lunar synchronicity of the Full Moon in the humanitarian sign of Aquarius (the water-bearer), I know, but honestly--who knows precisely what plans are afoot, on the drawing board, or being implemented as I type? For after all, there are a lot of secret spaces underneath the fortified White House building where all manner of hidden-from-the-public activities take place. And it is a white lodge as well.

If you're feeling a might on the occult side today, you may wish to investigate The Sirius Mystery and Freemasonry's Great White Lodge. The Dog Star, Sirius, is intimately connected to the natal chart and founding of America and in recent years the star has precessed in the Zodiac to conjoin US natal Sun @14Cancer. Sirius worship in ancient Egypt is well-known, too, as are the pyramid with its all-seeing eye in the floating capstone in American iconography of the Great Seal and the dollar bill. Plus, there's also Freemasonry's Blue Lodge, if you wish to explore.

One thing we may wish to do now is to review the Sabian Symbol (rounded up) which represents the US Inaugural Sun (the elected president): '1AQ" = "An Old Adobe Mission" (Jones; Rudhyar adds, --"in California".)

DURABILITY (Jones); THE CONCRETIZATION OF AN IDEAL (Rudhyar); Jones gives this symbol's positive expression as: effective breadth of vision and a respect-compelling depth of character; negative (unconscious/shadow side--jc): lack of ambition and blind adherence to superficialities.

Perhaps by the degree's 'lack of ambition' you can tell why it's always seemed to me that the karmic degree and symbol just prior to 1AQ may be more descriptive of American presidents as they alone allegedly 'helm' the US government:

'30Cap' = "A Secret Business Conference"--OPPORTUNITY (Jones); "A Secret Meeting of Men Responsible for Executive Decisions in World Affairs"--EXECUTIVE POWER (Rudhyar.)

Jones' positive expression for '30Cap': a gift for clever planning and successful administration in every area of life; negative (unconscious/shadow side): rampant selfishness and rank exploitation of others.

And of course, the Illumination Point (opposite degree) of 30Cap is 30Cancer: "A Daughter of the American Revolution" which is the degree and symbol opposite this reluctant astrologer's natal Mars! Maybe that's one reason why these Washington DC varmints intrigue me so--that, and the idea that to dissent is as American as it gets!

Since the days of George Washington, the US presidency has been a Sun cult of personality and exalted pretensions, so you may wish to review Tomas Campanella's City of the Sun with its 'Old Adobe Mission' implications while keeping in mind that 'shining city on a hill', Washington DC, and the old-Europe establishment of a New Atlantis, aka, America. July 17, 2013: asteroid America in Capricorn today

Asteroid America, Obama's Plutonian Power, and the US Senate

Today, July 17, 2013, the US Senate convened at 9:30 am edt, an Hour of Saturn, with 6Vir40 rising and thus bringing up the natal Pluto of President Obama. The ongoing Water Grand Trine between the two societal planets, Jupiter and Saturn, with Neptune of The Masses has been contacting the president's 7th house Pluto, planet of power, manipulation, surveillance, and the unconscious.

Sextiles from Jupiter and Saturn have provided him with valuable opportunities for understanding how skills may be utilized and solutions found, yet with Neptune @4Pis57 Rx (today) opposing Mr. Obama's natal Pluto, a condition is in play via dissolving Neptune in which unseen forces or entities erode natal Pluto's power and control. Subtle or possibly deceit-filled manipulations are afoot!

Today these planetary conditions arose at 9:30 am edt in Washington DC with President Obama's natal Moon (3Gem21) at Midheaven! Moon = reigning need (Tyl) and MC = The Goal so we may expect that something the president desperately wants is at the top of the Senate agenda for July 17, 2013, and/or perhaps the president's powerful partnerships (natal Pluto in natal 7th house) will somehow receive attention on Capitol Hill, secretly or otherwise.

Convening during a Saturn Hour is perfect for our 'most deliberative body' and is also conducive to the hard work Saturn demands. Recent compromises in the Senate on nominee blocks, filibuster reform, and an immigration bill are promising but not too promising that the US Senate may be in process of getting its deliberative mojo back. Yet with Mercury Rx until July 20 and conjunct US natal Sun, activist Mars @2Can42 and out-of-bounds (off on his own and up to who-knows-what), and today's unaspected Sun (isolation--note that the president has kept a low profile since returning from Africa), a wait-and-see attitude is better than getting or hopes up too soon.

What's Up with Asteroid America?

Discovered during WWI on August 7, 1915 in Simeis, Crimea, USSR by G. Neujmin, asteroid America (#916) obviously signifies our nation in Mundane Astrology work though its archetype actually represents the entire Western Hemisphere. Named for explorer-cartotographer Amerigo Vespucci, its glyph is a pyramid with an eye inside which is said to have been taken from America's Great Seal image of same (Eye of Providence--or, eye of Horus in a floating capstone) by the excellent Al Morrison.

A search for America in the Serennu ephemeris shows that today, America is @18Cap36 Rx, a degree which spotlights 1993's three conjunctions of Illuminati-Enlightenment planets, Uranus and Neptune ('18Cap' = "POLITICAL POWER"). And there's a Solar Eclipse in Scorpio coming up in early November 2013 which contains influences of this insightful planetary duo and it will be discussed here and elsewhere in the coming weeks.

So where was asteroid America on July 4, 1776? At 27Lib26--trine US natal Moon in late Aquarius, and square US natal Pluto Rx @27Cap33, which imho, denotes We the People's opportunity for a new nation, a sovereign America, and powerful Pluto's control and manipulation of the US government via blocking tactics (square) from abroad (1776 Pluto out-of-bounds from the rest of America's natal planets---in a word, London.)

Now if only I could figure out why our nation is called 'America' and not 'Amerigo'!

And with faith-filled Jupiter as our national chart-ruler (12Sag rising), we find important information in the Return chart based on our government's over-bounding personality and expansive, expensive traits and habits. In fact, our tradition of Manifest Destiny is a Jupiterian ideal that has inspired constant territorial expansion and conquest (Jupiter the General).

Plus, Jupiter's prominence in America's natal horoscope and psyche also denotes the ego-expanding American Exceptionalism theory made more brash through the influence of our natal Sun-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer (with self-satisfied Venus nearby.)

Of course, We the People are implicated as well, with jolly Jupiter present wherever there are large groups and big enterprises to engage in, fortunate rewards to receive--or, large meals to be consumed by We the Overweight!

July 2013: Mars in Cancer and the Cardinal Square

Planetary Tales of Summer 2013 and Beyond

Over at Celestial Space, Dipali Desai points out that the transit of Mars through Cancer from mid-July to the end of July, 2013 activates the Cardinal Uranus-Pluto square.

So Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn are involved with a Mars-Moon-Saturn signature which underscores America's Secondary Progressions which we discussed recently with the People's SP Moon now between SP Mars and SP Saturn which provides We the People and the public mood with feelings (Moon) about losing something while inducing for many a level of depression that hopefully will lift once SP Moon moves from between SP Mars and Saturn--after November 28, 2013, though around that date there may be a difficult or weakening event as SP Moon 'catches' SP Saturn Rx @3Sco10.

SP Moon symbolically moves about one degree per month.

A glance at the transits of Nov 28, 2013 shows a difficult transiting midpoint picture of Saturn-Neptune = Pluto which supports our Mars-Saturn-Moon condition through its potentials for feeling downtrodden, depressed, and/or fearful of loss...just how plutocrats of the Underworld want us to feel!

So in July 2013, this leaves the Venus-ruled sign of Libra, where US natal Saturn is placed @14Lib48, and it too--the planet of courts and justice (or sometimes, justice denied), evaluations, revenge, diplomacy, relationships, smaller amounts of money, the attraction principle, and ruler of America's natal MC @00Lib+ is being triggered for our Libran Saturn is within orb of activation from an opposition by quirky rebel Uranus, planet of freedom, which may have aided George Zimmerman's Not Guilty verdict last evening and announcing him "free to go".

"Self, or the last illusion" (video w music)

Self, or the last illusion is a film by a man who tells us 'what we are not'.

I found this film to be a knock-out though some of its images (illusions themselves) botherate me since I don't cotton overmuch to images of skulls or sinews or the like. Robotics can be marvelled at but that's about the extent of my viewing of them. Futurism is fine but there are standards.

Anyway, the topic of this video may seem not to belong on this, my Political Astrology blog, certainly not by topic. Or perhaps I embed it here so that arrogant politicians and their handlers might inadvertently find the film...due to the sad truth that few if any politicians have souls that haven't already been sold to the (seemingly) highest bidder. Which is to say, 'And Man became a living soul', not that we have 'souls' to barter away. It's more like we give our hearts to cruel masters who lie, cheat, and deceive us, y'know?

Inside the Beltway, or out, I personally recommend viewing Self, or the last illusion full screen for many of its images are life affirming, technically brilliant, and to my mind, Welcome in the darkest of corners of this old Earth and are much longed-for in the heart-breaking circumstances which usually come to us all at some point in our or our loved ones' lives.

Into each life, Niobe mourns for lost children, while in one of her roles, seductress Lilith is said to take them away...

The Legend of Lilith is one example of the content we find online these days concerning this controversial archetype...and you know that one of her many faces is controversy!

Well, my hopes are that we all are of good cheer while standing up for our rights and that no harm may come to the innocent from secret activists ('plants') who hide within organizations and practice stirring peaceful protests into free-for-alls with resulting lock-ups. For the art of infiltration (in Politics and Business) was perfected centuries ago by entities whose name/s I shall not mention. In the days ahead, there will much gossip, many slanders, and other libels within society which finally surfaces in the news, and if time allowed, we could discuss some of the astrological signatures of Neptune-in-Pisces influences in relation to Current Events right this minute. Alas, non!

Have you signed? The petition needs 130,000 signatures and 95% of the goal has been reached last I checked! If Senator Warren's effort can't decouple within big banks what fairly should be parted asunder on behalf of the common good, this may be our last chance. Failure in this effort is 'not acceptable' (as politicians like to say) and there are masses more of us than there are of the oh-so-dainty elite!

Ever since the Bush-Cheney Heist of 2008, when I think of America's big banks and the banksters and mobsters that run and profit obscenely from them, I think of the Sabian Symbol for America's Mars which turned retrograde by progression in Summer 2006 @19 Libra: "A Gang of Robbers in Hiding." However, only some of them are tucked away in ivory towers and luxuriously leathered libraries--the rest are 'hiding in plain sight' on Wall Street, usually. The mainstream media (and others) talk to them all the time and interview them even though the old southern adage "butter wouldn't melt in his mouth" applies to such varmints who behave and are treated as if they deserve some kind of respect from honest folk instead of receiving the prison sentences that crimes like fraud and theft merit in what is allegedly a law abiding society.

Mars the Warrior

A closer examination of the events of Summer 2006 might yield interesting correlations between the condition of our now-inward-turning Mars functions (motivation, energy, action, aggression, assertion) by secondary progression and the lamentably tragic Rise of the Warrior Cop where SWAT teams with no-knock warrants bring brutality and violence to the doors of non-violent American households, and family members including children are placed in great danger during overzealous raids--sometimes perpetrated at wrong addresses--oops! Oh well. How sad that police states just get a few minor details wrong sometimes.

Neptunian paranoia! 'The Politics of Conspiracy Theory' (video)

The following video excerpt from the non-profit documentary Counter-Intelligence may be of interest to you since the use of conspiracy theories to discredit those who spout or listen to them is an Establishment tactic that shows no sign of letting up. And with secretive Neptune (the media; the masses; conspiracies) now traversing its own sign of murky, often deceptive Pisces, we find the paranoia created by this transit quite sufficient for devising new conspiracy theories, some of which will be closer to the truth than the ruling class wants us to know:

Though its attribution to FDR is in dispute ('he never said that'), I believe in the adage (after following Politics for several years) that, Nothing in Politics happens by accident--if it happens, you can be certain it was meant to happen.

And as I've typed before, America's natal Mercury-Pluto opposition latched onto the use of political and economic propaganda from our very founding! It's the power of modern Technology in recent decades that provides them the tools with which to bound over the constitutional line.

Symbols of US natal Jupiter and the Treaty of Versailles

Usually with America's natal Jupiter, I mention its descriptive Sabian Symbol ("Game Birds Feathering Their Nests") but today, while working furiously to complete a Stars Over Washington Report concerning America's Jupiter Return of July 22, 2013, I took a break and consulted the symbol for our national Jupiter's degree (6 Cancer) in Adriano Carelli's The 360 Degrees of the Zodiac. Curiously, Carelli's explanation of '6Can' relates to money matters for when it comes to finances, our Jupiter in Cancer loves to do business, accrue interest, and invest for profit.

'6Can' = "Alcidiades, walking through Athens with his famous dog, whose 'most beautiful tail' he has cut."

Now I assume this refers to Alcibiades the beautiful, a contemporary of Socrates. Either way his name is spelled, his dog's tail was obviously more beautiful before it was cut.

Carelli goes on to explain that the symbol describes spendthrifts who have no practical sense, and those who are persuaded that "everything is due to" them. Vanity and extravagance are implied along with recklessness that brings ruin.

Sounds spot-on to me as I study the horoscope/s of America's last (and current until July 22, 2013) Jupiter Return, a three-fer full of the complex lead-up (and lies) to justify the initiation of reckless adventures abroad, plundering of national treasures, and the hopeless task of retaining territory as The West spreads across the globe in Jupiterian fashion. You'll recognize the overly expansive (and expensive) efforts of the Bush-Cheney regime by our three-fer Return dates: August 9, 2001, February 12, 2002, and March 15, 2002. The last two horoscopes contain a locomotive pattern with lead planet Pluto @17Sag+ conjunct Dick Cheney's natal Mars, if that tells you anything.

So what does '6Can' have to do with the Treaty of Versailles which marked the end of World War I? '6Can' is its signing's Sun degree on June 28, 1919. But in spite of all Jupiterian promises made at the time, the war-profiteering power elite internationalists didn't stop at one global war, did they?

Remembering Henry A. Wallace, our mystic Vice President

New Deal, New Day, New World...and mystic Henry A. Wallace

If you've read or watched Oliver Stone's Untold History of the United States then you ran across an important if long forgotten figure in US history, Henry A. Wallace, FDR's Vice President (1941--1945), Agricultural Secretary, and more. Quite a resume but Wallace's familial lineage is politically impressive, too.

Now during his lifetime, Henry A. was known as a mystic which tempted opponents to use the label as a slur in political campaigns. His association with Russian mystic and Holy Grail enthusiast Nicholas Roerich and his wife gave Wallace notoriety when notoriety was still quite taboo. Freemason George Washington was a mystic, too, but we don't often hear much about that in the mainstream press or in a typical biography, do we? Though I should add that Wallace broke off with the very unusual guru Roerich after some amount of time. As in our day, such unusual interests often inspired men to perpetrate under-the-table dealings not suitable for a national spotlight.

(The creative Mr. Roerich was a painter as well so perhaps you're familiar with the Roerich Museum in NYC?)

Well, since Wallace has interested me for years (ex: as a link between FDR and Truman) I checked my copy of The Sabian Symbols in Astrology and found that author Dr. Marc Edmund Jones considered Henry A. Wallace significant enough to include in the birth data list in the back of the book and so I post Henry Agard Wallace's details here. Will his leanings toward mysticism and metaphysical studies show in the natal chart?

Born October 7, 1888 @7:12 pm LMT Adair County, Iowa, a quick peek at his Wikipedia page reveals a closer location: "at a farm near the village of Orient, Iowa in Adair County." Orient, it is then.

Now a SolarFire v8 horoscope set for 7:12 pm LMT calculates chart cusps a few degrees earlier than what Jones lists in his book but I'm using the modern calculation since it gives an Ascendant of 19Tau12, for this is conjoined by the current Solar Eclipse degree 19Tau31 from May 9/10, 2013 in the 15 South Series ('sudden release of tension along with a sense of loss or grief that's more collective than personal'--Brady.)

Natal Moon @19Sco17--a mystical sign of Occult interests--sets on the 7th house side of the Descendant, and a 6th house Sun conjoins progressive Uranus (15Lib11/17Lib28), a political combination, giving Wallace an eccentric manner, arrogance, and a determination to always speak his mind.

As for the mysticism of Henry A. Wallace, we find the mystical duo of the Supernatural rising: Neptune @2Gem01 Rx and Pluto @5Gem47 Rx with both planets opposing his 7th house Jupiter in religious Sagittarius (sign of The Seeker on a Quest, and he was that), plus, there's motivating Mars @18Sag48 in the 8th house of the Occult (the study of hidden things such as Astrology, Freemasonry and Sacred Geometry, a touch of Theosophy, a generous helping of Philosophy, etc.)

In addition, priestly Chiron @11Can28 conjoins his natal midpoint of Saturn-Pluto ('the adept') and is intimately connected to the past and to mentors who are folklore heroes (like FDR) when in Moon-ruled Cancer. Chiron in Cancer also gives a decided populist streak which remains a notable and lasting feature of Henry A. Wallace's personality.

That is, if one paid the least bit of attention to the long forgotten presidential candidate, Henry A. Wallace, our mystic Vice President.
