DC columnist Drew Pearson and The Merry-Go-Round

Reading the Wikipedia page of fabled DC columnist Drew Pearson we find described a journalist (called by some contemporaries a muckraker and a liar, usually by folks trying to hide something!) who possessed a double fire Sun Sagittarius-Moon Leo personality blend: dramatic, creative, and visionary.

Born during the 1890s' Neptune-Pluto era on December 13, 1897 in Evanston, Illinois, Andrew Russell Pearson's Mercury-Jupiter square is significant in his psyche and natal horoscope especially since messenger Mercury rules communications, journalism, reporting, and reporters. The separating square (unconscious) suggests that a measure of exaggeration may occur but it helps create a dramatic effect.

Meanwhile, his natal Ascendant in fact-based Virgo is ruled by Mercury, and he was born during a Dissemination phase of the Moon - born to spread information. As for his controversial columns that revealed what others preferred to stay hidden, Pearson's natal Mercury is out-of-bounds of the earthly plane (secret meetings with sources?) and forms no aspect other than a Mercury-Jupiter square. And with Jupiter in Libra, we know that fairplay was part of his nature. For example, what Pearson published was always factually backed up by corroborating sources. It's called, journalism.

Plus, the columnist's Mercury is in Capricorn, sign of government, law, and business, as is his North Node @27Cap09 conjunct America's 1776 position of powerful Pluto. Noel Tyl informed me once that a Pluto-NN conjunction is the "tiger by the tail" combo, and columnist Pearson certainly had a growling one beginning in the early 1930s, through Joe McCarthy's 'Red Scare', and into the Civil Rights era of the 1960s.

Neptune-Pluto: corruption, criminality, The Underworld, gangsterism, scandals, mass publication

These areas were persistently exposed by Drew Pearson's reporting on Washington DC politicians whom he perceived to be acting against the public interest. In fact, this weekend I have procured a used copy of Drew Pearson's notes in the form of a book, Washington Merry-Go-Round, pictured below, and I'll point out that the book, first published in July 1931, opens with what I consider to be a revealing dedication:

"To Those Who Still Reach For The Brass Ring."

Why? Because his natal Ascendant @2Vir59 at 10:00 pm CST could be a rounded-off time as sometimes is the case, so that perhaps his Ascendant could actually be "6 Virgo," a degree with the Sabian Symbol of "A Merry-Go-Round" and "reaching for the brass ring"! (Jones). Fourteen minutes later (10:14 pm) also switches his Career Point (MC) from late Taurus at 10:00 pm to Mercurial Gemini, sign of the writer. Plus, his natal Sun conjuncts his Mercury-Saturn midpoint with the duo the sign of the professional writer. This picture also suggests Pearson's "getting down to work" dedication and "knowing what has to be done" ability (N. Tyl).

Yet as you can see in his 10:00 pm A-rated natal horoscope (also shown below) Pearson's Midheaven ('MC') at 27Tau39 is the Zodiacal neighborhood where transit Uranus lurches these days, a transit that can alter one's public reputation. My thought is that the dedicated work of Drew Pearson deserves more recognition in these harrowing days when journalism, or what passes for it, could use all the improvement it can get considering how low it has sunk in the public's opinion.

Of course, bad faith actors have had much to do with the sabotage of truth especially since the neo-fascists poked up their ugly heads. After all, facts are not their specialty, you know, for sane people despise their anti-societal ideas and the weirdos who promote them. Yes, Washington DC, our nation's capital, is infested with enemies and much more so than when I added the description you see above to Stars Over Washington way back in 2005! And slack journalistic practices aren't helping our nation at all nor are those who get their corrupt way via blackmail, bribery, and threats.

So below is a view of Drew Pearson's natal horoscope. An additional note: he passed away from a heart attack on September 1, 1969 Washington DC, not quite making it to a repetition of his 7 South Eclipse Series which manifested on September 11, 1969 @18Virgo with themes of crisis, or huge obstacles suddenly clear (Brady). However, with his death occurring within 10 days, 7 South themes could still have influenced events. Certainly a heart blockage would be an obstacle and a crisis.

August 1969: Pearson's final Jupiter Return (@7Libra43 - square natal Mercury: too little time) had perfected on August 29, 1969, while his 1969 Mars Return was ongoing as a three-fer that year: exact on April 15, May 8, and August 26. We should note that the Mars-Jupiter pair relates to the heart muscle (R. Ebertin). Perhaps a lack of energy was a health complication such as heart failure can bring. Plus, I must sadly report that on his day of death, transit Sun @9Virgo spotlighted his natal Saturn-Pluto midpoint revealing potentials for ill health, enforced changes, injury, physical separation, and privation (N. Tyl; R. Ebertin):

Pearson's Natal Chiron in Scorpio: An intense Quest for answers and depth of purpose; getting to the bottom of things regarding morality, ethics, and principles; may idealize power and/or psychological insight; lessons on sharing power and/or using power wisely (M. Pottenger). This sounds like Drew Pearson to me, how about you?

Yesterday's oral arguments at the Supreme Court for and against "absolute immunity" for presidents took strange turns thanks to the "conservative" justices, the "Cons" as I'll term them in this post. Justices Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson stood out for their attempts to protect our nation's traditional understanding of what all presidents know as they enter the White House: that crimes can be prosecuted once they're out of office. After all, what was the Nixon pardon about?

Even Con Justice Barrett had a few words to offer; however, she might be symbolized in the 2024 chart, below, by the Scorpio Moon leading a BOWL shape, an advocate for a cause which could be little more than sustaining an attachment to comforts and special privileges. And on another level for the paternalistic theocracy now forcing second class citizenship and handmaidism upon the women of America and infesting state legislatures across the land. So from yesterday's Mercurial arguments, it's apparent that the Cons believe, or are pretending to believe, that, "When a president does it, it isn't illegal," as crooked Nixon famously informed interviewer David Frost. I say pretend to believe because they seem to me to be acting under pressure of some kind, if only to protect their personal comforts and the "gifts" they enjoy for their anti-democratic services. Check the chart below for Neptune-Pluto = Mercury (upper center) and Neptune-Pluto conjunct 2024 MC (lower right corner) with the titanic pair symbolizing criminal elements and/or organized crime. Their figurehead of the moment: the long-mobbed-up Herr Trump.

And of course all this shows that Cons intend to dismiss the principles of the great Magna Carta from America! Brazenly arrogant, aren't they?

White Power-Aryanism-'MAGA'

So from whence comes the "furious storm" that Con justices and other Trumpists ride? That would be the 6 South Eclipse of July 1860 with its seditious energies of domination by strong-armed paternalism as their goal. Significantly, 6 South Eclipses repeated in October 2022 @2Scorpio (PE of Midterms 2022 when seditious 'Maga's grabbed control of the House of Reps--and look how they've worked to damage it) and in August 1932 @8Virgo as what I've termed the Nazis Rise to Power Eclipse for obvious reasons. So you see where the Cons are determined to go with this, as if you didn't already know!

Bi-Wheel: SCOTUS 1790 with Mercury Direct April 25, 2024 (Orals):

Now naturally, I had a glance back at the SCOTUS 1st Session 1790 Horoscope (inner), a topic which has been discussed here on previous occasions. Of note is that the current 8 North Solar Eclipse, the Great American Eclipse of April 8, 2024 @19Ari24 conjunct wounded Chiron, is the Prenatal Solar Eclipse Series in which the 1st session of the Supreme Court was held! Are the Court's dreams and visions today the same as those of 1790? What do you think? Well, today it appears that they dream of fascism in America.

So yesterday's oral arguing planets made a few contacts with the 1790 1st session planets as you see above, and I've used the very moment that Mercury turned Direct as a transit chart. In fact, a rather stark cosmic spotlight is cast upon 1790 Mercury @00Pis46 in 12th house. And there's an obvious emphasis on the Venus-Mars duo which spotlights yesterday's male vs female justices and their questions as the ladies brought reality to fantasy (Neptune-MC = Saturn). Could American Politicians Be Running Drugs Over Border? - clip

Speaking of America's "crisis at the border," a very interesting discussion occurred recently between Thom Hartmann and a caller to his show:

UPDATE April 4, 2023 3:10 pm edt: Arraignment Day for Felon Donald Trump

Mr. Trump has now been arraigned on 34 felony counts in a lower Manhattan courtroom with a "stone face" as his primary expression for photos (in his role as the 'Mango Mussolini', as usual). Adam Reiss of NBC News was in the courtroom where it happened and says that Trump himself spoke the "Not guilty" plea when asked. Since this morning, the day has been under the sway of a Moon-Neptune opposition suggesting the mass media coverage beaming to the people across the US and the globe, for all to see. Felon Trump will fly back to Mar-a-Lago as soon as he can and plans to deliver a speech this evening in prime time. A cornered snake, fighting for survival, will hiss any threat that may enable his escape

With a fearful Donald Trump now indicted and expected to show up tomorrow at the courthouse in Manahattan for his mugshot and fingerprinting, his multiple threats against prosecutors (Salon) and anyone else he considers to be standing in his megalomaniacal way have been, to say the least, ill-advised, apparently due to the emotionally heated reptilian brain of his nibs himself. And tragically for America, his voters and backers knew he was a snake before they took him in, as he informed them in multiple speeches. Among other traits, snakes signify betrayal so in this particular instance, Herr T and I can heartily agree about his faithless, traitorous nature.

So since narcissist Trump's Geminian self is convinced that he's a legal expert above all others, no one has ever convinced the sinister orange demagogue that, He who acts as his own lawyer has a fool for a client. And this may turn out to be a factor in the fulfillment of the inscription over the door of the DOJ building "Lege Atque Ordine Omnis Fiunt" (by law and order all is accomplished). Let's us hope so since, as we know, if the DOJ aims at 'the king', they'd better not miss.

Therefore, below is another view of the esoteric carving on the DOJ building, Washington DC. As you see, the human figure on the right holds a spear with which he has pinioned the snake in the corner and this symbolizes the ultimate victory of triumph over man's lower nature, and bringing order (the man) out of chaos and lawlessness of the rogue snake (you-know-who):

Well, if Donald Trump and his scofflaw mobster behavior hasn't brought America's lower nature to the surface of Collective awareness to be better and correctly dealt with, no one ever has! This is a longstanding problem in US society, as you know, which in part can be dated from the late 1890s when the 'criminal Underworld' duo of Neptune-Pluto conjoined by transit - and unfortunately landed upon the 1776 Uranus of America (8Gem55). Thus,a midpoint picture formed of US Uranus = Neptune-Pluto, a cosmic time link to the Robber Baron class whose biological and ideological spawn now spend mega-bucks to attack and undermine democracy and usurp American citizens from their own country.

Perhaps you remember President Biden's pseudo-SOTU Address to a pared-down Congress on April 28, 2021 with a transiting North Node-Mida$ conjunction in force. At the time, I had labeled Biden's 2021 address as pseudo because it was delivered prior to the end of his first year in office. However, the address was delivered at the invitation of then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, as per tradition.

An annual event, there was a need to hear from our Commander-in-Chief at that time due to all the trauma and drama in society, economic and medical concerns, plus, turmoil that we're still attempting to navigate in 2023 - with the albatross of anti-democracy Republicans tied to our collective neck - and the specter of violence being perpetrated across the land and creating the unsafe environment in Congress as Democrats attempt to serve next to neo-fascist far-right Republicans toting guns and wearing AR-15 pins on their lapels in place of the usual US flag pins. Symbolic much?

So below is an unmarked Horoscope of 2023 SOTU February 7, 2023 9:00 pm est Washington DC. Note that the 2023 SOTU address' Air-Earth Sun AQ-Moon Virgo blend of conscious and unconscious energies is shared natally by Gertrude Stein, SCOTUS, and our 9th President William H. Major Planetary Cycles Operative Since 2020

So all the while, knocking at America's door are societal shifts and perils within - timed in part by the January 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction @23Capricorn and the December 2020 Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction @00AQ29 conjunct US Inaugural Sun.

Such societal shifts are also described astrologically by two heavyweight transits: the primal cause US Pluto Return and transit Neptune in shady Pisces opposing US 1776 Neptune in fact-based Virgo. The first transit: transformation via Pluto's destructuring function down to bare bones then rebuilding, while the second is a generational clash of ideologies (Virgo-Pisces) with persecutions and prejudices coming to the Neptunian surface to be dealt with, hopefully more honestly than ever before - with racism and misygyny topping the national menu of strong-armed paternalism vs a caring democracy. Here we find the vicious 'slave patrol' mindset embedded within various police departments (though thankfully not all).

So it must be obvious that America's foreign and domestic enemies have long studied which wedge issues will divide We the People most disruptively for their undermining purposes intended to topple the US government from global leadership, taking democracy down with it.

And so We the People remain within the throes of sustained assaults from enemies within and without, not the least of which is an insurrectionist-infested Republican House of Representatives now in control of the government they're desperate to overthrow in favor of fascist-style authoritarianism. And as Julia Ioffe stated in her informative Frontline interview 2 or 3 days ago, to Putin, Trump looks like a "wrecking ball." Yep, the orange marauder is the Kremlin's wrecking ball, a fact that many Americans have realized all along.

Speaking of threats, a Chinese spy balloon has been flying over Montana for the last few days - or is it only a weather balloon? Either way, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is scheduled to visit China soon. Hmm. Well, we do have IBMs stored in Montana but so far no word on a direct threat, just surveillance it seems, and the Biden administration has told the Chinese government to cut it out if they're spying. Of interest astrologically is that, among other activities and concepts, both Neptune and Pluto are associated with spying and surveillance, infiltration, theft, and criminal activities such as organized crime.

Okay, I'll quit fussing now. Because it is Friday after all.

America 1776: Enlightenment Principles not Religion and Joe Biden Signs a Bill!

Admittedly, with the ongoing transit of Neptune in Pisces opposing America's 1776 Neptune in Virgo, religious persecution is only one of the effects of the opposition along with a generational clash of ideals, ideologies, and beliefs. Oceanic Neptune, planet of inspiration, spirituality, and the Divine Source, is fancifully shown in the above pencil drawing rising or ascending and by this I attempt to symbolize in this post the rise of certain religious factions over America's tradition of secularism.

Yet as most Americans must know, this nation was founded upon Enlightenment Principles inspired by those of the European Enlightenment, aka, the Age of Enlightenment. Now one consequence of such rational, lofty principles was the American Revolution so how dumb is it that far-right politicians and their Jan 6th insurrectionists have used "1776" as a rallying cry while promoting their unBiblical brand of religion.

For we know that most of the Founding Fathers, as we like to call them, were not Christians but Deists with beliefs nothing like those of the current crop of power-mad 'Christian' Nationalists promoting authoritarian theocracy for America and pretending that the nation has always been what they call, Christian. In fact, though unfairly tarred with an anti-religiois brush, Founding Father Thomas Paine, author of The Age of Reason, was not against God at all,

"It is only by exercise of reason that man can discover God. Take away that reason, and he would be incapable of understanding anything." Right there we find irrational religionists with their highly emotional biases on behalf of some sort of bizarre religion-slash-politics and demonstrating a complete lack of reasoning ability.

Great News! At 4:02 pm edt I watched President Joe Biden sign his progressive Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, a transformative piece of legislation on behalf of America. With Sagittarius rising in DC (19Sag33) and chart-ruler Jupiter Rx in Aries and making no applying aspects (no interference like a VOC Moon?), I hope things proceed well with this bill, although delays are suggested (Rx). However, Venus in Leo rules the Midheaven (The Goal), both Venus and Jupiter are money planets, and Venus makes a beneficial trine with Jupiter so we have that going for us! Meanwhile, the leader (Sun) is apex of a YOD pattern with the spiritually infused Neptune-Pluto sextile at its base. Therefore, it was time for the President to act and bring resolution to the many crises in US society, in this, a "season of substance." And if we read the YOD trio as a midpoint picture, we find: "transforming life to alter or otherwise change existing patterns of personal growth" (M. Munkasey). As he said in his pre-signing remarks, Joe Biden believes in America and the American people!

Now back to my fuss:

So actually, these far-right seditionists are anarchists, more political than religious and yet are supported by the Christian Right. (In other words, they joined forces in order to grab power and control.) So you've probably noticed that the movement promotes a US government based on 1930s/1940s-style brutality, oppression, primal violence, and, in a word,nazism where might allegedly makes right. Of course, that's only if murder is "right," which it is not. A quick reading of the Ten Commandments tells anyone that.

Eclipse and Historical Cycles Echo One Another

Now some folks would have us believe that for these anti-societal criminals their 'time has come' but for America this was not the case in in the 1930s and it isn't written in stone now. However, on the level of timing, it's significant that a solar eclipse in the same Saros Series as the 'Nazis Rise To Power' Eclipse of 1932, the 6 South, will occur on October 25, 2022 @2Scorpio conjunct Venus which I've titled, 'A House Raising'. This we have discussed on SO'W before and seems to relate to congressional House seats in particular, so it's notable that the October 2022 6 South Eclipse will directly influence our 2022 Midterms - as will a Lunar Eclipse conjunct Uranus @16Taurus manifesting on that very day, and will 'eclipse' the Venus-Mars conjunction (16 Taurus) of a certain Austrian psychopath born long ago.

America Based on Enlightenment Principles not Religion

Meanwhile, on an astrological level, we can turn to Uranus for science and rationality and Neptune for faith and religion. Perhaps a quick consideration of the planetary pair of Uranus-Neptune may be interesting along with a note about their aspects back in 1776 when America was founded.

The Uranus-Neptune duo a la Michael Munkasey:

"Changes in social and political structures due to new ideals and dreams of the future; insight and invention; reforms with lofty ideals."

Now in each of the horoscopes for July 1 and July 4, 1776 that I considered for this post, I see that America enjoyed - enjoys - a Saturn-Uranus trine (ideals become reality; putting ideas into form) and a Neptune-Pluto trine (working for improved social reforms). Yet as you know, we've been under the sway of a transiting Saturn-Uranus square stirring up rebellion against authority which we've seen from riled up anarchists, seditionists, and saboteurs working against our country. And yes, these tumultuous activities have been interfering with progress (Uranus), of course, but somehow, on this very day, President Biden's signing of the Inflation Reduction Act has lifted up our 1776 Neptune-Pluto trine through the form of the transiting Neptune-Pluto sextile of opportunity nestled at the base of a YOD pattern - a turning point - activating a concerned leader to take action via today's Sun in Leo.

So I agree with Joe B: never bet against America!

The Pentagon, an Eclipse, and Capricorn

Karmic Saturn: Planet of Authority and Accountability

While combing through SO'W this morning looking for a different topic than what I found, a post displaying the Pentagon's 1942 horoscope surrounded by the 12 North Solar Eclipse Horoscope of January 15, 2010, turned out to be interesting, even useful to today's news events. Not just because this week's public discourse includes the query: were Pentagon officials involved in or complicit with Trump's January 6, 2021 coup attempt against the US government?

See USA Today's Pentagon 'wiped' phones of top Defense officials despite request for Jan 6 texts and emails. Sounds like more seditionists are trying to hide their tracks. It's a thing.

But the post is interesting also because the 12 North Eclipse of 2010 occurred @25Cap01 within the sensitized degree zone of governmental Capricorn which has seen karmic planets Saturn and Pluto working it over pretty good by transit of late. And as you know, the two planets even met on January 12, 2020 @22Cap46 to begin a new 33-year cycle of their harsh, compressive energies. Plus, the later degrees of the Cancer-Capricorn axis can have a tendency to treat people as objects (if such influences are unmitigated by other factors), and this is besides the sign's obvious implications in the realms of government, law, and business - some positive, some negative.

Then there's the handy switcheroo manipulated under the FDR administration when US Inaugurations were shifted from the first week in March, to the 20th of January (or other, when the 20th falls on Sunday), effective as of 1937, the change which placed Saturn-ruled Capricorn at Midheaven, the Goal Point of our inaugural charts and presidencies. Of course, included is US 1776 Pluto, and this signals the authoritarian democracy vs fascism dictatorship issues coming to a head in 2022 with America's first-ever Pluto Return, exact three times this very year beginning in February.

Meanwhile, our opportunity to vote in the 2022 Midterms comes in November when we'll attempt to choose what kind of government we want despite thugs and ruffians of a Trumpian persuasion, and the massive, nationwide cheating and rigging campaign that the GOP must perpetrate in order to shove through their anti-societal candidates.

Now commentators have identified the year 2009 as the beginning of anti-government racist organizations such as militia groups and the 'tea party', activated by the 2009 Inauguration of Barack Obama whose natal Saturn in Capricorn wasn't despotic enough for them, nor was he Caucasian enough.

What a horoscope! For opposite (US 1776) Pluto Rx rising is asteroid of democracy, Ceres, closely conjunct the goal-oriented Sun @29Can11, a degree which when rounded-up = "A Daughter of the American Revolution." Perhaps because this degree's Sabian Symbol links to my natal Mars but for me, this shows both democracy and revolution in the hearing's spotlight, just as it should be, for this is the crossroad that America has reached at this point in time. And although it makes me very fussy, maybe the prognostication I read years ago: "1776 - 2025" will turn out to be accurate with Inauguration 2025, said to be our country's last.

However, please note that our nation does Not have to discard democracy and turn authoritarian, at least not under Democrats. To that milder end, this where I type, Vote Blue in 2022 - and avoid voting for candidates of the bizarre, freakishly paternalistic Chastity Belt Party now passing laws that 'legalize' the rape and marriage of young girls, among other anti-societal ruinous ideas. Your choice, of course. But please think of your daughters and the other ladies in your life.

As for the July 21st chart, see lower left corner for retrograde, karmic chart-ruler Saturn's one applying aspect, a square with zealous Uranus. The square will perfect on October 23, 2022 which may turn out to be a significant date especially since it comes tweo days prior to the difficult 6 South October 25, 2022 Solar Eclipse @2Scorpio conjunct the 1949 Ascendant of NATO (Putin's enemy), and with Nazi vibes in play.

Meanwhile, we should note that the ruler of crossroads, Mercury @5Leo08, conjuncts America's 1776 North Node of destiny! And you know that people here and across the world are aware that America is poised at the turning point of Democracy vs Fascism with paternalistic authoritarianism attempting to take total control of America as it has tried in the past, and failed. Unfortunately this time, the anarchic forces of evil and corruption are better organized with more members who, for some reason, assume that they'll come out okay, even exalted, after the dust settles. How stunned will they be to find that they and theirs will not be 'okay' at all? Taking forceful control of the 2022 Midterm Elections is suggested by themes of the 6 South October Solar Eclipse as saboteurs try to make historic events of the 1930s repeat in November 2022. Let's not allow it.

Now also in the horoscope, above, ascending is the Full Moon of July 13, 2022 @21Cap21 which we might remember since it perfected the day after the J6 Hearing of July 12th so during Thursday's hearing, something presented then may return for review or rehash, and probably will since the hearings are an ongoing process meant to hold accountable those responsible for disrupting our traditional peaceful transfer of power, and committing violent acts of insurrection on behalf of you-know-who.

Actually, there are multiple indications rising in the 8:00 pm edt horoscope of the July 21st 'Prime Time' hearing (unless a rescheduling occurs) such as the harsh, compressive January 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction of evil, Trump's natal Vertex ('VX'), a point of fated encounters or wish fulfillment, and the January 6, 2021 'mob attack' Ascendant @15Tau54 at 1:00 pm est.

South Node "21 Scorpio" = "A Soldier Derelict In His Duty": "Complete Faithlessness to the Common Welfare" (M. E. Jones)

So as you see in the chart, Luna @15Tau18 also conjuncts the 8:00 pm IC, the HOW? Point and Foundation of the Matter, with warrior planet Mars conjunct IC as well but from the 3rd house of Communications. Maybe the July 21st hearing set to reveal what the faithless Trump did and didn't do while happily watching his coup attempt on TV against the US Congress as events progressed (gallows and all), and Americans were being maimed and killed in Trump's name, is what in a sense yours truly has waited for for years, ever since I noticed the 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction landing upon Trump's natal Vertex. Fingers crossed!

We may hear from a 'woman of strong principles' or two with the intense Moon-Mars combo opposing MC and the Uranus-North-Node duo of radical reformist politics nearby in 4th house. As mentioned, opposite is the neurotic derelict soldier conjunct South Node of past behavior in the very visible 10th house of Public Status. Is that Cadet Bone Spurs on display?

Meanwhile, there's always the dire admonition of Regulus rising with Trump's natal Mars fulfilling his threatened destiny of "all that's been gained will be taken away" for those who take revenge. And as you know, 'revenge' is the orange blighter's middle name - and now it's the Republican Party's perogative to use violence. Now you may wish to consider the three stars rising with planets in this chart, one in particular is Pluto (now in process of the 2022 US Pluto Return which is also rising) and showing the J6 hearings as response to Trump's 2021 coup attempt and a major part of our destructuring Pluto Return - with effective rebuilding to follow ("positive social reform" star Zuben Elgenubi conjuncts MC). Additionally, higher powered Pluto Rx leads a ruthless Locomotive shape of planets, and rises on July 21st with Scheat, star of 'extreme misfortune, murder, suicide, malevolence, imprisonment' (A. Louis). As you know, it was Scheat that influenced Trump's 'prez bid' announcement at the Gemini New Moon of June 16, 2015 which fell snugly into the 17 South Saros Series of the Spring Equinox Eclipse of March 2015 - conjunct Scheat.

So now in 2022 the time has arrived for the piper to be paid, and the starring 'pied piper' is Donald Trump who, if any justice is left in the world, will be held accountable for his criminality and sedition - and will be the one who pays his debt to society since, in America, no one is above the law.

So let's consider a midpoint picture of potentials suggested here of 2020 Saturn-Pluto = July 21, 2022 ASC: "silent power or continuing influence" (M. Munkasey), plus, "placed in cumbersome and difficult circumstances; separation; mourning and bereavement" (R. Ebertin) with more than a little "sadness" added to the picture as well (N. Tyl).

Trump's Pluto = Mars-Saturn: Death of Many People; Fury; Intervention by a Higher Power (R. Ebertin)

Descriptively, the chart's Saturn-Pluto midpoint @10AQ57 in 1st house (with both powerful Pluto and legal eagle Saturn) opposes Trump's natal Pluto which indicates potentials for: "choosing either good or evil and dedicating one's life to eliminating the other; extreme changes" (M. Munkasey). In Putin pal Trump's case, we've seen that "the other" includes the United States of America and the American people as Krushchev's 1953 "we will bury you" threat plays out. One clue is the Neptune-Pluto duo of Organized Crime @26AQ18, as noted, conjunct the Anti-Vertex, and opposing Trump's natal Mars (26Leo46) - conjunct the hearing's Vertex! Look to corporate Cupido in 8th house for more information.

So we have Trump's mob-like activities in the spotlight Thursday evening with his Vertex in governmental Capricorn rising, along with his being "used as a tool" (by Russia? China? Neo-Nazis? Fascists? Other? All of them?). And for those who prefer the third-decan of Aquarius for the US Moon of 1776 (We The People), add "big mood sweeps" and/or "anxiety" (N. Tyl). Hopefully, restless minds will be changed (and eyes opened!) by the factual evidence presented at the J6 Hearings.

Now obviously, the current Saros Series (6 North) applies to all of the June and July Public J6 Hearings with themes of "relationship to authority figures" and "commitments accepted due to another person's unreliability or illness" (paraphrasing B. Brady), the meaning of which became clearer this very day with the announcement that J6 Chairman Bennie Thompson has just been diagnosed with Covid. Therefore, perhaps Rep. Liz Cheney will gavel in Thursday's hearing and it's been reported that the other Republican serving on the J6 Select Committee, Adam Kinzinger, will lead the proceedings Thursday night.

Michelle Goldberg on Kingdom Coming: The Rise of Christian Nationalism - video

On July 24, 2007, yours truly purchased an insightful book authored by Michelle Goldberg concrning religious radicalism, bellicose fundamentalism, and "military retirees pledging to seize the nation in Christ's name, perfidious congressmen courting the confidence of neo-confederates and proponents of theocracy, and leaders of federally funded programs offering Jesus as the solution to the country's problems."

Through interviews and testimonies of the people behind the movement, the author "provides access into the hearts and minds of citizens who are striving to remake the secular Republic bequeathed by our Founders into a Christian nation run according to their interpretation of scripture." My italics because, as a Protestant myself, for me there lies a major part of their wrong-headedness, a major yet purposeful 'glitch' in their holier-than-thou plans, a sour note, really. Rationality tells us that morality cannot be legislated externally, it must come from within to be genuine!

But these are irrational forces challenging rationality, determined to merge State with their version of church, backed, funded, and encouraged by a wealthy corporate class ideologically distanced from the populace. This is, in fact, their particular recipe for fascism in America - but, unlike the 1930s, this time around the saboteurs are part of a global movement, a network of despots. And as in previous decades, primal violence is one of their strong-arm thuggery tactics along with the threat of it for intimidation purposes when bribes don't work.

So in addition, 'Kingdom Coming' also describes an "ever widening subversive stranglehold nationwide" as Enlightenment values "are threatened by a mystical nationalism" that claims "divine sanction."

Mystical nationalism! To me this sounds like bizarre Neptune-Pluto influences, and the vast planetary pair contains plenty of fermenting space for criminal elements in society - and for wacky fantasy worlds, too. Very much like men who play the lucrative role of POTUS but on the down-low are mobsters and foreign agents taking orders to sabotage America and destroy our social fabric.

So now as we watch this radical authoritarian movement full of evangelical far-righters, "conservatives", corrupt politicians, and militia-loving white "supremacists" attempt to take over America before our very eyes, I ask you, dear reader: could Michelle Goldberg have been anymore prescient?

Modern Humanity's 2022 Birthday Gift: A Solar Eclipse!

Another 'Forewarned Is Forearmed' Post: An Eclipse? But You Shouldn't Have!

Not so long ago we discussed the Modern Humanity Horoscope as timed by the Taurus Solar Eclipse of April 26, 1892 Washington DC (A.E. Meece) along with a transit chart showing radical Uranus @7Taurus in 2021 conjunct that very Eclipse. As we know, radical reformer Uranus has acted as a major troublemaker of late while it lurches through the Fixed, often intolerant sign of Taurus, activating earth changes, financial shifts, turbulence, and more.

Below is a bi-wheel of charts showing, not the April 26, 1892 Solar Eclipse Horoscope, but the actual Neptune-Pluto Conjunction of April 30, 1892 @7Gem41 which is the third of three such conjunctions (August 2, 1891 @8Gem38; November 5, 1891 @8Gem19) in their approximately 492-year cycle. Among other things, The Supernatural, mysticism, drugs, subversive activities, and Organized Crime are astrologically represented by this heavyweight planetary pair.

Now as you see, the outer horoscope is that of the Midterms 2022 Lunar Eclipse of November 8, 2022 @16Taurus and the reason for displaying this bi-wheel is that Modern Humanity's North Node of future direction (destiny) @16Tau58 will be 'eclipsed' on Election Day 2022 (USA) - including involvement from the radical planet of zealotry, anarchy, Utopianism, chaos, turbulence, and/or rebellion, Uranus (@16Tau56 Rx; aka, the planet of Awakening; Illumination and The Witness). Of course, Utopianism says that man has no need of laws which is poppycock and a recipe for chaos, but you knew that already. And it's an ages-old blueprint for the destruction of civilization.

Much of such things we've discussed previously so I won't repeat myself here but will add another cosmic synchronicity:

That the Solar Return 2022 of Modern Humanity (humanity's 130th "birthday"!) will receive the 'gift' of a cosmic blink, a Solar Eclipse. This adds a larger measure of prominence and a sense of unification of affairs to the themes of the April 30, 2022 Eclipse in the 6 North Series and increases indications of potential Uranian intervention, disruption, separation, and/or rebellion and upheaval to the level of directional changes in society which are always a bi-product of eclipses (along with revelations whether such disruptions are convenient or not.)

Therefore, 6 North themes are definitely on society's 2022 cosmic calendar! However, Taurean bullheadedness and inflexibility tend to cause setbacks when progress and growth are what's needed. As for finances (the 'Bull of Wall Street'?), raids on the US Treasury may be occurring underneath the surface as 6 North Taurean Eclipse themes run 'in the background' of society. Not that such raids haven't been perpetrated against the US previously.

(Please Note that I work with eclipse degrees and am not overly concerned with whether a particular eclipse is visible or whether it cuts a path across America when I type these things. You may, of course, disagree. Thankfully, this manifestation of a 6 North Eclipse is only partial not Total, while the Midterms 2022 Lunar Eclipse is Total and is infused with vibes from electrical planet Uranus which may easily bring on technological issues with our voting machines or ballots, inspired by the anarchy of domestic seditionists - or may even suggest interference from outside hackers and saboteurs.

In closing, here are 6 North Themes to be aware of: 'relationship to father or authority figures; a need to take responsibility or control; acceptance of commitments due to another person's unreliability or illness' (paraphrasing B. Brady). Politically, these indications could be positive or negative.

The initial 6 North Solar Eclipse in the Saros Series occurred @27Tau55 on May 15, 850 (OS) with eroding Neptune Rx @27Cap35 (conjunct US 1776 Pluto 27:33); 6 North Eclipses also occurred in the years 1914, 1932, 1950, 1968 (DNC 1968 Chicago: turbulence), 2004, (2022), and will again in 2040 @21Taurus.

US Pluto Return Feb 2022 with a Moon Return to 1/6/21

Below is a DC Horoscope of America's first-ever Pluto Return (number one of three) all occurring in 2022 with their subsequent dates listed on the chart, top center. Also marked as you see, and highlighted in orange, is the 4th house Pluto Return Moon @21Lib56 which happens to time a Moon (Lunar) Return to the Mob Attack Moon position of January 6, 2021 (2:05:54 pm) The 1/6 Moon Return perfects a mere 37 seconds after the Pluto Return (2:05:17 pm est). To me this indicates that the same or nearly the same mob of malcontented insurrectionists and violence-minded Tr*mp acolytes are somehow involved with the indications of the US Pluto Return and these plutonian influences will activate them (the unjailed of them!) throughout 2022 into 2023. In fact, transit Pluto has been within a 5-degree orb of 27Cap33 since February 2019.

Now naturally, a consideration of US Pluto's cosmic condition on July 4, 1776 can be instructive since whatever contacts the planet of stealth, wealth, and power made back then are being repeated or reinforced by transit Pluto returning to his former position of 27Cap33:06 in the US Scorpio Rising Horoscope (ASC 8Sco47 at 2:22 pm LMT with Scorpio's Mars-Pluto influences - but of course use whatever version of the US Horoscope you prefer).

Natal Planetary Aspects of 1776 Pluto Are Echoing Loudly Into Our Era

In America's July 4, 1776 Horoscope there are two aspects to or from Pluto: Pluto opposite Mercury Rx @24Can15 (3S18 - separating, therefore unconscious especially since in 1776, Pluto was as yet undiscovered but I use outer planets in historical horoscopes anyway, not that you must - I just like the hidden quality of them along with their generational cycles).

Now you know that US Mercury's rounded-up Sabian Symbol for '25Cancer' is intriguing: "A Man Wrapped In An Invisible Mantle of Power" - and there's invisible Pluto (the powerful puppet master) interacting with the speedy planet of communications and commerce. Their opposition has always suggested to me control and manipulation from abroad but that topic would require a post all its own for another time. Meanwhile, their opposition denotes potentials for surveillance, mind control, secret activities such as spying and committing crimes, propaganda, suggestive oration, and/or complete control and manipulation of information (knowledge is power). Complete control and surveillance such as we have now. And perhaps you agree that withholding information has morphed into an art in US Politics.

Here we should add the Sabian Symbol for US Pluto: "28Capricorn": "A Large Aviary." Even more disturbing is that Pluto in Capricorn is known as 'the dictator' according to Reinhold Ebertin. Thing is, this concept must also be seen through 1776 eyes - which relates somewhat to the manipulation-from-abroad theme at America's founding. Or does it? Perhaps it's the mysterious voice from the balcony loudly asserting that, "God has given America to be free!" (But not if neo-fas*ists have their way.)

Now the second aspect to US Pluto of 1776 is a trine from Neptune in Virgo (5A08; from 7th to 9th house) indicating social institutions providing comfort and sustenance which easily conform to societal ideals - then, if not so much now. However, the trine is recurring via the Pluto Return chart of February 20, 2022 so within current society, positive responses to the spiritual, psychic, and/or mystical realms may be felt along with the awakening of the masses to those higher realms which may become more and more prevalent in society. My advice: studiously ignore the misuse of "awake" and "awakening" being propagandized by the far right for this is something they want to avoid - for it will reveal to more and more people in stark relief the GOP's hideous scars, warts, and devil horns. The Republican Party is much more of a hazy, cloudy Moon-Neptune endeavor which requires a lack of discernment, vagueness, and misguided perceptions in order to exist within our populace at all. Naturally, the GOP's continual use of 'gaslighting' the public comes to mind, and don't get me started on their financial scams, schemes, and hucksterism.

DC Horoscope: February 20, 2022 2:05:17 pm est Washington DC:

So! Above you see the first-ever Pluto Return Horoscope of America contains quite a few chart factors penned upon it such as chart-ruler Moon (at her February 2022 Lunar Return to her 'Mob Attack' position, you'll remember - and prominently leading a ruthless Locomotive shape of February planets, determined on success at any cost). In addition, Luna makes two applying aspects in the 2022 chart (how things will proceed):

1. An inconjunct with 9th house Neptune in mystical, secretive, contagious Pisces which suggests people who have trouble separating fantasy and illusion from reality and facts, those who tend to express the emotions of others (ex: grudge-holding Herr Tr*mp's hatred and venom toward those who stand in his way - so he schemes and plots his revenge), and folks for whom the acceptance of any obligation feels like an emotional trap because they're pressured into things by people with ulterior motives. And those manipulators drop them when they're no longer of any use. Major emotional adjustments are needed but how are the thoroughly confused and possibly drug-infused to manage?

2. Moon square Pluto (5A36). This aspect of internal blockage describes people (Moon) who express the baser emotions of humanity - envy, jealousy, hatred, vengeance, a zeal for violence, a propensity toward offended vanity - and who feel a desperate need to gain complete control of their environment. Of course, this obviously describes the Orange Herr from Mar-A-Lago as well as his followers and "shock troops" expressing - acting out - his negative emotions, as already noted. We saw them 'following his orders' on January 6th and can expect to see them at it again, for as many pundits admit, the Tr*mp 'coup' is ongoing. This we know and must prepare for.

Side Note: Unfortunately, priestly Chiron, the wounded healer, is unaspected in this chart so apparently can make no improvements or contacts with the other planets (actors), no grace, forgiveness, positive input, or repentance at all coming from his direction. However, on another level Chiron is at "11Aries" with the Sabian Symbol, "The President of the Country." And since Tr*mp is 'the POTUS' (in his own mind!) feeling deeply wounded, his ego and vanity scalded by rejection, Chiron here may represent him, simmering in his isolation and trying hard not to seem irrelevant. Yet his is a well-deserved exile in my book. Otherwise, if not the orange menace, Chiron could represent President Biden whose agenda intended to better the lot of the American people is being viciously blocked by underhanded Republicans determined to re-grasp power.

Then it's tragic with a Moon-Pluto square involved, how human beings tend to hold on to such base emotions and grudges until they are in the greatest need of purification, and particularly so in this case if any karmic progress is to be made at all in or by the US as a united country. Accepting input from our 1776 Neptune-Pluto trine would supply a path toward purification for all those who realize their need for it but unfortunately, the otherworldly planetary pair is more than ever being used for criminal acts by unscrupulous crooks and global mobsters who through decades have infiltrated our nation and our government (federal, state, and local). Even so, Tr*mp and his vicious thugs and malcontents of a neo-n*zi persuasion must be held accountable for their crimes yet this Child of the Revolution could be reasonably happy if they decided to permanently leave the continent and find themselves a new home where they can be just as fasc*st as they wanna be - while leaving decent folk alone.

Astro-Notes: An American Tragedy of Mass Delusion

With a chunk of the US population suffering from the negative effects of what Dr. Carl Jung termed, "delusional ideas," a look at certain astrological implications might reveal what lurks beneath and within the veil. For this I'm using a US Horoscope, a July 4, 1776 version, which I may never have published here before but there's a reason: the Moon falls @23AQ12 which moves the mundane Moon (We The People) closer than in most other July 4th charts to an inconjunct with nebulous Neptune (@22Vir24). Plus, Neptune is rising at 10:36 am LMT, (as you see, below) which places US Mars @21Gem11 conjunct Midheaven ('MC' = The Goal, our warrior selves), making our national Mars-Neptune square Angular, thus prominent and active.

Now as you remember, America's natal Mars-Neptune square is well known for causing problems domestically and abroad, not the least of which involve the Neptunian realms of The Unconscious which tend toward inspiration on a good day - the Divine Source - but may often bring delusion, deception, confusion, corruption, misunderstanding, weakness, erosion, loss, and/or disappointment. Plus, misguided actions, misdirected energy, self-destructive motivation, and 'the fog of war' can so easily result from the mishandling of a Mars-Neptune square. And has. After all, refusing to deal with reality makes eventual self-destruction almost a certainty - unless we pull out of it. So let's look at --

A Moon-Neptune Veil Within and Surrounding America

"Greater than all physical dangers are the tremendous effects of delusional ideas which are yet denied all reality by our world-blinded consciousness. Our much vaunted reason and boundlessly overestimated will are sometimes utterly powerless in the face of 'unreal' thoughts." - Dr. Carl Jung, speaking about America which he identified as prone to societal breakdown "due to mass delusion" and this is where we find ourselves today - with enemies who take advantage of our weakened condition, purposefully made worse by saboteurs.

But We The People do not have to accept this even though the erosion began years ago, much of it with the 1981 Inauguration of Reagan. But it's only now that a greater number of citizens recognize the significance of our psychological/emotional problems and the practical issues that illusion and delusion impact in 'the real world' - delusions such as 'Neoliberalism', financial scam that it is. For as you know, facing our monsters realistically in the light of day is the only way to vanquish them, otherwise they grow and multiply. Which means that we have approximately 2/3 of the US population able and willing (?!) to engage!

Now you've probably read articles about this topic such as Salon's December 14, 2021 piece by Nicole Karlis tentatively entitled, Is America experiencing mass psychosis? to which I must answer, Yes - too many of us are, about one third. And transit Neptune - floating through its own sign of shady Pisces since 2012 - and within orb of opposing US Neptune in Virgo since 2019 - has not helped psychological conditions or the health of the Neptunian Collective Unconscious at all. And of course, contagious Neptune in Pisces is a cosmic signature attributed to the Republican Party of 1854.

In addition, astrological Neptune is known as the planet of the masses and of mass media whose members so often promote the deceptive propaganda and the gaslighting that corrupt politicians and their enablers depend upon for waging political campaigns, staying in office, and lining their pockets, perhaps by fraudulent schemes. You know how they do.

So for this particular study of mass delusion, aka, mass psychosis or "delusional ideas" of folks living in fantasyland, let's consider the duo of Moon (the people, the public, public mood, public trends) and Neptune (the masses, delusion, deception, creativity, inspiration, spirituality, the urge to merge). Of course, the Moon-Pluto pair ('public; psychology/ manipulation') is also involved but for brevity's sake, let's focus this post on Moon-Neptune which also relates to the current state in the US of Evangelicals and other religious types longing for Theocracy in America, but that's a Neptunian topic quite beyond the scope of this post.

Horoscope: America (via Zip Dobyns) set for July 4, 1776 10:36 am LMT Philadelphia, Pennsylvania:

Highlighted in green is a YOD pattern ('Finger of God': a special task, turning point, crisis, karmic opportunity, and/or health issues); the YOD/s are penned, upper right, and notated with a few midpoint picture potentials within the YOD/s which involve 'deception of the people, misguided imaginations, and/or erroneous judgments based on feelings'. Naturally, taking action based on 'gut feelings' is implied while logic and reason are bypassed. Such tendencies in the American character have been taken advantage of for decades (or centuries!) but the current crop of politicians and political operatives in the US have taken such exploitation to a higher (lower) level, a 'professional' level for those who take Moon-Neptune conditions as having anything to reveal about mass delusion, fantasy worlds, and erroneous judgments based on incorrect perceptions and assumptions.

Plus, when the Moon is apex planet in a YOD pattern, faulty assimilation of impressions is a major issue and out-of-tune reactions are typical. But with the Moon's traditional role as a timing device (as is a YOD), we can hope that Luna's fluctuating nature helps lead to a destined change at just the right moment so that freedom from the negative images of the past can occur and the basic needs of the populace allows nurturing so that the interests of the weaker among us are uplifted. I believe the Moon's positive course is what our Democratic president represents because with 'the old guy', we'd still be stuck at the crossroads of the YOD, unsure which path to take while fearing that destructive 'solutions' and events were America's only possibilities. We can leave the orange menace behind - unless a well-deserved mugshot turns up!

Now as you see, the horoscope's ruler is the 10th house Mercury Rx (Rx because Mercury, planet of signing, documents, negotiations, oration, and planning) signifies that the Founders actually completed signing the Declaration of Independence on August 2, 1776 with Mercury direct, a better cosmic condition than a retrograde Mercury. Therefore, the August 2nd signing was in a sense a "do-over" (Rx).

So it's the sextile between Mercury and Neptune that forms the base of the YOD pattern/s (Mercury also sextiles the Virgo Ascendant which is not technically a YOD but the midpoint picture of 'Mercury-ASC = Moon' still applies). See lower left, for brief notes on the Mercury-Neptune sextile involving tendencies toward obfuscation, fantasy-infused thinking vs practicality or pragmatism, and denotes those with a 'talent for hypnosis'. You'll remember the troubles We The People have - are having - with fantasy-prone, truth-challenged Herr Tr*mp's natal Mercury-Neptune square making things even worse than they have to be. Of course, he's known for his controversial rhetoric filled with lies, misperceptions, and the ability to instigate angry people into taking action. That's people who have soaked up his negative emotions - with little if any thought for the consequences.

Then if we progress this chart to Election Day 2024, we find a Moon-Neptune opposition which suggests veils of illusion, clouds of delusion, misguided perception, foggy thinking, falsehoods, and gullible folk who accept whatever tall tales they're told.

Because basically, Moon-Neptune denotes potentials for subconscious phenomena, refined, feelings, over-sensitivity, faulty assimilation, strange notions, fanciful imaginings, exploitation, disturbed awareness or consciousness, vivid dream experiences, but also sympathy (R. Ebertin). Yet separating real from unreal is a difficulty for those heavily influenced by this planetary pair, and self-confidence tends to be either lacking or may express in an off-and-on manner.

Then a glance at the planets on Election Day 2024 (Nov 5th, 8:00 am est; notated lower right) and - what are the chances? - a transiting Moon-Neptune square turns up (28Sag/27Pisces) as voting begins (at 8:00 am in most locations) which suggests potentials for: 'hallucinations, misinformation-disinformation' (campaign propaganda and promises), 'misplaced blame, misunderstandings, falsehoods, mistakes, peculiar dreams, cloudy perception, deception toward society, and confused emotions'. Yes, media disinformation is suggested as well with the square, broadcasts that we all may hear but don't have to act upon, and there's a potential for large numbers of voters not turning up - or, for a large (Neptune) blue wave (Moon) to block (square) Republicans' 'success-at-any-cost' tactics and dirty tricks (the party's Neptune in Pisces).

As for the 1776 inconjunct (or, quincunx) it's possible that activist Mars @21Gemini conjunct MC aids the Moon-Neptune inconjunct by trining the Moon. This can indicate that not every American is prone or gullible to such mass delusion (ex: crazy conspiracy theories), a very good thing you'll agree. Or at least, reason and logic still can have a chance with them! Meanwhile, 'imaginary patriotism' may shelter underneath the Moon-Neptune umbrella as well and we've certainly seen evidence of it expressed plentifully by our fantasy-led crowd of insurgents and the pretenders of the political class who gaslight them - and gaslight all of us if we allow it.

So in closing, it would be remiss not to add for you the Moon-Neptune duo in Politics and Business as listed by master astrologer Michael Munkasey in Hegelian Dialectic form in his book, Midpoints: Unleashing the Power of the Planets (#ad). You'll note that Luna's traditional connection with food, nutrition, and sustenance plays a part:

"Thesis: Production of chemicals, oil, food, or manufactured goods; dreams about agricultural produce, production, or policy; a leadership which heeds the opinions and emotional climate of its constituents" (in order to manipulate them or better serve them? - jc).

"Antithesis: Delusion about the popular support for current policies; an inability to utilize information about the moods of the people when setting the courses of actions; scandals involving production or other quotas."

So do check out the Moon-Neptune combo of energies in any version of the US chart you prefer. For one, the 'Powell Horoscope" of July 1, 1776 7:09 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA shows no YOD but does show a Moon-Neptune trine (7A05) from Moon @15Cap16 in 1st house to 8th house Neptune Rx @20Vir22 (ASC 6Cap07) suggesting the possibility of feminine influences upon the proceedings, and positive benefits from the spiritual realms for those receptive to such higher vibrations, and these are cosmically supported by America's Neptune-Pluto trine of 1776.

No matter what hour an 1871 Horoscope of the NRA is set for, one stand-out factor is the 'death axis' pair, Mars and Saturn, their conjunction @7Cap04/46 conjunct the goatish pagan god Pan. Also conjoined upon that degree is the group's Venus-Chiron midpoint with the Venus-Chiron opposition denoting mentorship (R. Nolle). Maybe it's the NRA's association with large amounts of gun violence across "arsenal of democracy" America such as school shootings, street violence, murders of the unarmed, self-appointed (illegal) vigilantism, and other anti-societal activities such as NRA lobbyists buying off politicians to do the organization's bidding, but this disturbing cosmic picture makes sense to me via the potential that the NRA and the death cult attached to it are followers of paganism of the most primal and violent kind with roots in satanism. Also implicated: US militarism on steroids and its weaponry of aggression, invasion, and occupation of foreign lands, as directed by our 'death star' entity, the Pentagon (1942 horoscope shown). Of course, it was FDR who led the Freemasonic dedication ceremony for the construction of the Pentagon in a location that he himself chose.

Meanwhile, a cosmic curiosity relating to our weaponry topic is that the December 2016 New Moon @7Capricorn conjoined the Syzygy New Moon of FDR's Arsenal of Democracy speech of December 1940 a cosmic time link that joins US weaponry and its build-up for war with violence-promoter Trump and his thugs. Plus, the synchronicity links to the New Moon of December 2016, just prior to Trump's 'carnage in America' inaugural address of January 20, 2017. Well, carnage is certainly a promise he kept in more ways than one, isn't it? And '7Cap' is the NRA's Mars-Saturn Conjunction and therefore the location of the group's 'death axis' (R. Ebertin).

So! Below is a slightly different Horoscope of the NRA than shown on SO'W before for it's set for 1:33 pm LMT as suggested by expert astrologer Gary Lorentzen. And here is a link to the previously published NRA Horoscope set for the general time of noon (November 17, 1871 Albany, NY; note that Gary locates the chart for New York, New York) including astro-notes. As you see, Trump's natal planets are all over this chart and are highlighted in pink. And please be advised that previous notes on the NRA and today's remarks are my own and no one else's:

Its Splay shape of planets = the rugged individualism of the macho 'cowboy ethic' that many Americans so closely identify with.

Now a second NRA Horoscope of 1871 isn't posted today so that I will re-type my astro-notes all over again (follow the above link if you're curious) but there are a few factors worth emphasizing which may not have been mentioned in my previous post, or may now include additional info, such as:

2021 Saturn conjuncts 1871 Hades

Oops! As you've heard, the latest legal news about the NRA involves campaign finance trouble via such Republicans as Trump and Josh Hawley.

Simultaneously, transit Saturn (karma, loss, restriction, limitation, accountablity, obstruction, the law and lawmakers, the past, old men) @7AQ+ is hitting the NRA's Hades, a difficult asteroid indicating heavy emotional issues (such as running out of funds, lack of donations, loss of members, lawsuits) plus, decay, destruction, sorrow, grief, and - the constant go-to for the NRA and its political handmaidens of the GOP - regression. Meanwhile, President Biden's 'Build Back Better' Plan is built to fight against such regression and its ongoing efforts to force American society and laws back to the 1850s (slavery) and/or 1950s (pre-Civil-Rights - it's an Aryan thing, a past vision of white power and control, now threatening democracy in the US and across the globe). Yet their efforts are challenged by President Biden's progressive legislation which will greatly benefit the American people, even those of the Republican persuasion, and this resonates with the Solar Eclipse themes of: 'benefits' and 'good news' of the 5 South eclipse which will manifest on on December 4, 2021 @12Sag22 as Bernadette Brady details in her Predictive Astrology book #ad). In addition, 2021 Saturn conjuncts the NRA's Sun-Neptune midpoint indicating potentials for bereavements, bad blood, frustration, and/or emotional struggles and difficulties.

Along similar lines, note that the NRA's Pluto-Chiron midpoint in 1871, the pair of Plutocracy, exploitation, primal violence, racism and other -isms, opposes the group's CUPIDO (@26Lib27 conjunct the 8th cusp of Corporatism, Shared Resources, the Occult, and Death) with Cupido revealing the thuggish group's associations with Corporatism, 'The Family' (religious; mafia), The Syndicate (criminality; the mafia/the global Underworld Crime Syndicate; transnational banking) so a stark cosmic picture is reflected upon the NRA across the Taurus-Scorpio axi$ especially for those who speak astrologese (which I attempt to translate into English for any SO'W readers who might appreciate it!).

The Panic and Pandemic of Pan? Run For Your Lives

As you see, a major signal involving guns and violence, as already noted above, is the organization's Mars-Saturn Conjunction @7Capricorn+ ('the death axis' - R. Ebertin) which conjoins Pan (panic, pandemonium, pandemic, fear, anxiety). As you see, the Venus-Chiron pair at midpoint joins the 'party' @7Capricorn (sign of The Goat, a stand-in for the devil) and suggests mentorship - by pagan god Pan? This indicates to me group members being mentored via a pagan 'god' and the mentoring of others (but not necessarily intended for the group's rank and file members). However, we should add that with pipe-player Pan, sexuality is included.

Meanwhile, mention should be made of the NRA's Neptune-Pluto pair of occultism, and the Criminal Underworld (see notes on chart: Neptune-Pluto @5Tau17 in 2nd house of Values). For as you know, transit Uranus has recently hit this degree and now lurches between them and for the NRA this suggests potentials for 'impersonal attitudes about destructive or anti-societal activities; possibly aberrant behavior; disruption to gain recognition; making waves to get to shore' (N. Tyl; Munkasey; R. Ebertin). Additionally, transit Uranus will conjunct the NRA Pluto (@18Tau46 Rx) in early August 2022 and again in September 2022, prior to Midterms 2022, identifying a dangerous period when hidden fears may not be willingly confronted (and may be exploited and promoted to sway the Midterms, no doubt) and abrupt changes to the familiar are disturbing and must be navigated.

Side Note: the Neptune-North-Node sextile gives the group the ability to 'ride the waves' of public opinion, and a talent for using subtle evasion as a tactic.

Midpoint pictures that are Angular in the 1:33 pm chart:

Saturn-Pluto = ASC: 'silent power; working with those of power and influence'; Moon-Neptune = ASC: 'instability; delusions; seeing through others (psychism); scandals': Mercury-Mars = MC (the goal point): 'fighters ready for action; bravura; a champion salesperson'; Mercury-Saturn = MC: 'wrapped up in one's own ideas; philosophizing; mind over matter; winning through planning' (R. Ebertin; M. Munkasey; N. Tyl).

In closing, I'll add two factors not penned upon the chart:

1. The group's 4th house Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE"), in the 18 North Saros Series which perfected on June 18, 1871 @26Gem22 with themes of: 'high stress level; a taxing of strength; worry and obsession; illness, accidents, or physical concern' (B. Brady). The last occurrence of an 18 North eclipse was on September 13, 2015 @20Virgo (under President Obama but also the year Trump announced his escalator prez bid in June 2015 but he did so under the direct influence of the 17 South Spring Equinox 2015 Solar Eclipse conjunct the star of misfortune, Scheat). And misfortune for America is another promise he kept. 2. NRA's gold-worshiping Mida$ Rx @24Ari48 in the first house of this horocope conjunct NRA Neptune Rx @21Ari48 which to me suggests veiled or hidden wealth and the fraud, scams, theft, and deception it takes to collect it.

When US Neptune Turned Rx by Progression

On January 20, 1953, East Portico, Capitol Building, Washington DC Dwight David Eisenhower was first inaugurated as President of the United States (page links to audio of his 1953 inaugural address). His was America's 42nd Presidential Inauguration.

A review of significant events during the year 1953 provides the curious with a snapshot of the era but one symbolic astrological event of interest to me is that America's natal Neptune (22Vir25) from July 4, 1776 turned retrograde ('Rx') by Secondary Progression ('SP') on June 10, 1953 @27Vir06:27.

In the day-for-a-year SP method the position of progressed Neptune corresponds to the real-time position of transiting Neptune on December 29, 1776. So as you can tell from the date, the American Revolution was in full swing and December 29th was the day that General George Washington and his troops re-crossed the Delaware River back into New Jersey after their victory at the Battle of Trenton. The dates and events fall within what is known as The Ten Crucial Days for America.

Now the house that our national Neptune resided in on July 4, 1776 depends upon the timing of the horoscope, and to make matters more complex, other dates are often used by various astrologers. One such is known as America's Powell Horoscope set for July 1, 1776 (7:09 pm LMT Philadelphia ASC 6Cap07; MC 29Lib56) with an 8th house Neptune @22Vir22. But no matter which 1776 chart is progressed, the sign and degrees remain the same (though perhaps with slightly different dates? I haven't progressed them all), and rounded-up, Neptune's Sabian Symbol for '23 Virgo' = "A Lion Tamer Rushes Fearlessly into the Circus Arena" which sounds appropriately embattled for the era and reminds me, if not you, of a belligerent America's continued focus through the centuries on opponents and foes, creating them where they previously didn't exist. Of course, betrayal is a common word where saboteur Neptune is concerned and the newer term "blowback" comes windily to mind thanks to the neo-con wars the American people were lied into.

And when we look at the phenomenon of retrogression of planets and their relationship to the Sun there are differences between natal and mundane planets, yes, but this post is meant only in a general sense. Not being an astronomer I shall leave it to you, dear reader, to investigate the cosmic mechanics of the matter if needed; therefore, what I type here is in relation to societal and political shifts in our country, its ideology and leadership due to our 1776 Direct Neptune's symbolic change into retrograde motion (1953) and how the planet's altered condition influences America's Neptunian functions in such realms as idealism, honesty vs dishonesty, media, and the longing for the unseen, among other things (amorphous, etheric Neptune, difficult to pin down!).

Meanwhile, quite a transformation can be observed via the Sabian Symbol for our SP Neptune in 1953 from 'taming lions' to: '28 Virgo' = "A Bald-headed Man Who Has Seized Power" (Is that you, Ike?). Dane Rudhyar gives this word picture a Keynote: "The sheer power of personality in times that call for decision." And adds that, "Everything bows to THE POWER OF THE WILL--divine, executively human, or Satanic" (An Astrological Mandala, DR; #ad).

And we should note that in our era, US natal Sun, once in Moon-ruled, patriotic Cancer, has progressed well into Pisces, often a shady, secretive sign with Jupiter-Neptune vibrations and this in part accounts for the prevalence of deception, veils, scandals, fraud, theft, and corruption now operative in US society and leadership much to the enjoyment of domestic and global criminal entities and networks of the anti-societal Neptune-Pluto persuasion. Thanks to these low-character jokers, knaves, and thieves, Neptune's undermining and sabotaging functions are starkly in evidence as we now are forced to see. However, since the 2020 Election and his Inauguration, President Joe Biden now expresses the compassionate side of Pisces, a vast improvement on behalf of the American people, imho!

So let's hone in on The Gaseous Giant with quoted text from expert astrologer Erin Sullivan's masterful book Retrograde Planets (#ad) concerning the topic of Neptune stationing by progression (slightly edited for clarity and noting that the Sun in a Political Astrology horoscope represents the leader, leadership, goal, ego:

When Neptune stations by progression in the chart, it means the Sun has progressed to such a point that its relationship with Neptune has undergone a subtle readjustment. It has been virtually stationary for years, anyway; the station is rarely marked by an event. {} Also, it might precipitate an unrealistic search {} for a teacher, whether that be a lover, guru, master or leader. {} relationships which fall short of the ideal can dissolve and disappear, leaving one in a state of suspension for some time while new evaluations of {} religious expression and spiritual resources are in progress.

The stationary-direct year will mark a time of 'surfacing', of changing one's perceptions of reality. The reality shift can be sudden, as the scales fall from one's eyes, or gradual, over a period of three or four years, while transits or other more sharply defined progressions bring the Neptune station into clearer focus. The progressed Sun's position in relation to natal planets will help define the situation, by indicating what issues the ego is grappling with."

This may be a time when "an avenue for expressing 'newly discovered' psychological patterns" never before understood or expressed entered society through US leadership.

Erin adds that "reference points begin to blur at the edges, resulting in a soft-focus reality" and here yours truly suggests that, besides the obvious religious reference mentioned above, America's symbolic Neptunian shift to Rx motion has made it easy for success-at-any-cost politicians, religious figures, and the elite and corporate classes they serve to gaslight the American people by deceit, propaganda, and disinformation, as they work to confuse and diffuse every issue that calls for facing reality in order to find practical solutions - and this sorriness actually began way back in the 1950s!
