Sept 2023 and the Belligerence of Mars

With a very active Mars (the warrior), a favorite planet of Mars rising Mr. Trump, it's worth noting that the current legal battles going on now fall within the time frame of the Summer Solstice 2023 Horoscope until the Autumn Equinox 2023 Horoscope 'takes over' on September 23rd. A shift of energies within the Collective will be noticeable, and significantly, Venus-ruled Libra is the sign of the Scales of Justice.

Meanwhile, here's a link to a recent post displaying both the Autumn Equinox 2023 Horoscope and the Winter Solstice 2023 Horoscope, its frosty Saturnian energies taking us into 2024 until March and Spring Equinox 2024 (a chart not yet published but coming soon to SO'W).

Significant to Trump's current legal challenges is his natal Pluto rising in the Autumn EQ chart, and this necessarily brings along Trump's Mars-Saturn midpoint (the death axis - R. Ebertin) with its destructive energies and 'intervention of a higher power' vibes. Set for Washington DC, the chart's Midheaven ('MC': The Goal) @29Aries+ is the position of belligerent Mars during Trump's January 6, 2021 coup attempt (failed, but ongoing). In addition, this happens to be the position of the Sun in the "first shot" Horoscope of the American Revolution, as you can see if you wish.

And everyone who's paying attention has heard the maga/reich-wing shout-outs attempting to link their Trumpian sore loser sedition efforts with the 1775 Revolution while calling for another civil war like the loose cannon troublemakers and zealots they are. For my part, they behave much more like the Confederates of the 1860s than the patriots of the Revolution whose battles and victories ultimately led to the estabishment of our democratic Republic, a form of government that the current crop of reich-wing zealots now work against.

Eclipse Cycles Bring Similar Conditions 'Round Again

So as I type this post, we operate under the auspices of April 2023's 7 North Solar Eclipse at its critical 29th degree, until the 7 South Solar Eclipse @21Libra 'takes over'. And perhaps you've noticed that the Eclipse in the 7 North Saros Series has previously been termed, Hitl*r's Birthday Eclipse by yours truly. Well, Herr Adolf does have his modern-day followers who imagine that they need to complete the little Austrian's mission of world domination - as if theirs is a worthy goal when all they offer society is evil and suffering.

And yes, America has been in such an evil Saturn-Pluto pickle before - and democracy survived. An example of a watershed moment? The Big Brazen N*zi Rally of 1939 NYC (horoscope shown) in which a gaggle of 'em brashly latched on to the reputation of George Washington who walked away from power as the archetypal example for all future US presidents to follow - all but malignant narcissist Donald Trump, that is.

And so there's an example from 1945 that I hope for America's sake will be followed now via the "Trump Trials": that the sadistic brutes of the 1930s and 1940s FAFO!

Jupiter-Uranus and Saturn-Neptune at Aries Point!

Two images of DC Horoscopes for your consideration are shown, below.

The first is a bi-wheel of the Jupiter-Uranus Conjunction of June 8, 2010 conjunct the Aries Point of world events surrounded by the upcoming Saturn-Neptune Conjunction of February 20, 2026 which also perfects upon the Aries Point of manifestation.

Societal conditions have changed quite a bit since 2010, as I suspect you can tell just from this brief comparison alone. Of course, following current events and monitoring what's changed in your personal life must agree, with or without the addition of Astrology's As Above, So Below.

Even so, my study notes are squooshed upon the bi-wheel and may be difficult to read so I've added a second view, a dual image of both conjunctions: Jupiter-Uranus 2010 (first of the planetary duo's three conjunctions into 2011 which are listed on the bi-wheel and highlighted in green meanwhile, the 2010 Conjunction in the dual image is shown (lower left) while the Saturn-Neptune Conjunction of 2026 - which will occur only once - is upper right.

Yes, the two conjunctions are 16 years apart, however, both represent major rufflings of the most sensitive of the four Cardinal World Points, the powerful, pioneering Aries Point which is ruled, as you know, by energetic Mars. This cosmic circumstance tends to put us in mind of the annual Aries Ingress (aka, Spring Equinox) when a new yearly cycle of activity begins and hope tends to spring eternal, while all planetary conjunctions signify the beginning of a new cycle:

And if we read the two conjunctions as 2026 transits to the 2010 planets, we have potentials for: limitations or restrictions of expansion and/or freedom, a time for the wealthy class to give back some of its gains, unorthodox ideas or methods are rebuffed or rejected, delays but carefully laid plans can still succeed, idealism becomes fanaticism, get-rich-quick schemes flourish, unrealistic expectations cause conflicts in society, changes and reforms are unpredictable and/or innovative, plans are implemented, and/or confusion and nervousness may undermine progress.

These possibilities and influences are shown via cosmic time links (2026 to 2010) spotlighted by the fact that both conjunctions occur at a prominent point in the Zodiac. Naturally, other planetary influences are involved and must be factored in along with Solar and Lunar Eclipses, plus, a look back at the decade of major events of the 2010s can refresh memories and suggest society's ongoing issues and concerns which must continue to be dealt with for it does no positive good to turn away from our problems.

Now disagree as you wish, dear reader, but there it is.

Zero-Degree Points of Manifestation Time Global Events and Important Energy Shifts within the Collective

Back in November 2021 here on SO'W, we discussed the Spring Equinox 2022 Horoscope, aka, Aries Ingress 2022, a timed chart of a regularly occurring cosmic event that's always 'good for' an entire year. Transits to the horoscope and its planets are quite instructive for those who wish to follow along as the year proceeds. And due to Putin's war against neighboring Ukraine begun on February 24, 2022, we even considered a Spring Equinox 2022 Horoscope cast for Moscow, Russia with its sprinkle of 29-degree critical-crisis angles and planets, impulsively striving to enter their next signs, hoping for new conditions.

Here Again is the DC Horoscope of Spring Equinox 2022 (details linked, above):

Next on the cosmic calendar is Summer Solstice 2022 and I've yet to publish its DC Horoscope (mea culpa! too much going on) - wait! yes it's published!. Well, here's a post concerning 2022's June and July shifts of direction of societal planets Jupiter and Saturn. Note that Jupiter will remain retrograde @29Pisces (conjunct Scheat) until after the November 8th Midterm Elections. And for context, see the US Solar Return 2022 Horoscope set for Washington DC, suggesting that people and actions continue to be obscured by 'veils and fantasies'.

Then marching in the 2022 Cardinal World Point parade comes Autumn Equinox 2022 with an unaspected (disengaged, alienated?) Moon. Or perhaps this lunar condition reveals a public left out of consideration as the ruling elite class 'makes arrangements' to suit themselves. You know - like justice Alito determined that what a large majority of We The People want concerning Roe v Wade makes no never mind to radical reactionary justices on the SCOTUS bench such as his nibs, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, and handmaiden Barrett. Perhaps we can agree, dear reader, that morality cannot be legislated externally, and that bossily forcing one's religious views upon others leads to disaster. Yet We The People can do something about this for significantly, the 2022 Midterm Elections take place during the Autumn season. In fact, Blue Tsunami Waves of pro-democracy voters in November 2022 and again in November 2024 are required for America's karmic progress, no matter who the candidates turn out to be!

And of course, winding up Year 2022 is Winter Solstice 2022 with its DC location showing Cardinal World Points prominently on the chart's Ascendant-Descendant angles of Self and Others. This solar shift to 00Capricorn00:00 will take us from December 2022 and the holiday season into the early weeks of Year 2023 and will influence events until Spring Equinox 2023 takes over, and the seasonal cycle identified by the 'Sun to Cardinal Points of Manifestation' begins all over again.

Meanwhile, on an astrological level, the Summer, Autumn, and Winter Cardinal Point horoscopes (Sun to 00Cancer, 00Libra, 00Capricorn, all critical-crisis degrees as is the Aries Point) may be used as transit charts in comparison with the Spring Equinox Horoscope for timing and other purposes because, as noted, the March 2022 Aries Ingress Horoscope is 'good for' the entire year so therefore is the most prominent annual horoscope.

Eclipses, Klans, Prez Bids, Despots, and Empires

February 17, 2021: In my prevous post on the 17 South Summer Solstice Eclipse of 2015, the Prenatal Eclipse ('PE') of Trump's bid for the presidency, you can view the eclipse horoscope. Below, you can see it again along with one of its 17 South 'siblings' which perfected on December 22, 1870 @00Cap30, conjunct one of four Cardinal World Points of Manifestation, and the PE of the passsage of the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871 on April 20th, now being considered for use against Trump and his comrades.

17 South themes are penned on the chart, right side, and a list of individuals, entities, and events that also were born or begun within the 17 South Saros Series is on the left. Considering that the 'hidden' topic of this post is Trump and his Klannish (tribal) sentiments and activities (ex: Trump Mob Attack of January 6, 2021), you'll note that 17 South 'spawned' two related entities - Herr Hitler and the German Empire:

Besides being at a 29th critical or crisis degree (of Pisces, so conjunct the Aries Point), a significant factor that lowered the 'good news' potentials of the 2015 Solar Eclipse into the abyss of despair and harm is its conjunction with fixed star Scheat, a star known for its nasty potentials of: 'extreme misfortune, suicide, murder, drowning, a sentence of death, imprisonment, suffering', and "malevolence of sublime scope" (A. Louis, Horary Plain and Simple) #ad.

And though you may disagree, dear reader, to me Scheat's potentials sound a lot like Trump's first inaugural address where he threatened us with "American carnage."

DC Horoscope: December 2, 2019 Jupiter to Capricorn

With 00Capricorn00:00 one of the four Cardinal World Points of manifestation, Jupiter's entry into the Saturn-ruled sign is a big deal which occurs approximately every twelve years. Here you see a DC Horoscope for the moment transit Jupiter reaches 00Capricorn00:00 on December 2, 2019 at 1:21 pm est--conjunct Midheaven ('MC'), the Career and Public Status Point, suggesting events occurring on the global stage, and in Washington DC since the cosmic shift happens at MC in our nation's capital.

Now if you're reading this you may already know all the roles that astrological Jupiter can play with politician, banker/trader, corporatist, guru or hierophant, broadcaster (propagandist), and military General being the primary ones who make cameo appearances on SO'W. And if you've visited here before, perhaps you know that when it comes to Jupiter, I tend to use the Great Benefic as the traditional ruler of Pisces as well as of Sagittarius, with Neptune as co-ruler or higher octave ruler of Pisces. (I refuse to divorce Saturn from the traditional ruler-ship of Aquarius but that's another fussy tale for another grumpy day.)

All that said, let's consider the December 2, 2019 Horoscope for its Jupiterian qualities, plus, for a few interesting cosmic factors and possibilities which may apply. The large-girthed Donald Trump is a Jupiterian for several reasons, one being his natal Jupiter in Libra at station and turning Direct 3 hours after his birth. Oh! that, and his greedy, materialistic nature exhibiting a love of money (the root of all evil--the love of it, not the money) so we have his nibs to consider as well. Actually, we tried this before with Donald Trump in the Realms of Jupiter. We've also previously discussed Trump's natal Mercury @8Can51 (conjunct Alhena: to have a mission) which is here on a future path via the North Node in 4th house. His apparent relocation to Florida may be part of this Mercury-NN picture although potential meetings, negotiations, and communications cannot be ruled out as well as contacts with reporters and/or with young people.

So in the DC Horoscope pictured above, basic chart factors are penned on if you don't mind enlarging the image to read my study notes. The energy shift of Jupiter, happy as a puppy with two tails in his own sign of Sagittarius, moving into sober Capricorn, sign of Jupiter's detriment due to his exaltation in Cancer, is supported via the Hour of the Moon (fluctuations, changes), plus as you see, the Aries Point rises along with star of misfortune Scheat and wounded/wounding Chiron Rx @1Ari29 following--Chiron, the blind spot, here conjunct US natal IC (Roots; Foundation) in America's late afternoon charts of July 4, 1776. (It seems to me that our country has certainly been undergoing a season of wounding as transit Chiron crosses and re-crosses our national IC--along with an opportunity for honestly dealing with our wounds and making karmic progress.)

Then on the chart, upper right, you see a list of planets that rise with stars on this particular day and there are quite a number of them including Sun, Venus (OOBs), Jupiter (and MC--both rising with Acumen), plus, Neptune, North Node ('NN'), and the Ascendant rising with difficult Scheat, as noted.

Thing is, the Ascendant, the What? Point of the chart @30Pisces, reveals an interesting Sabian Symbol: "The Great Stone Face" which speaks of destiny as character. Once upon a time I attempted an illustration of this symbol which may be viewed here if you wish, with Sabian Symbol details for '30 Pisces' included.

Now in closing, a few notes on how Jupiter relates in society when traversing the Saturn-ruled sign of Capricorn (a labyrinth unto itself!), sign of Jupiter's fall, as noted. Negatively, Jupiter in Capricorn suggests potentials for egotism, distrust, hypocrisy, and over-concern with the letter of the law rather than upholding its spirit. Yet when well-aspected, this placement tends to provide moral integrity, ethics in business and in general affairs, a sense of duty, and support for status quo traditions and/or for the prevailing value system. A conservative slant and positions of responsibility are indicated so those who hold them are the sorts of folk who may be cast in a bright spotlight while Jupiter is in Capricorn--basically until around Winter Solstice 2020 when Jupiter catches up with karmic Saturn @00AQ29, the US POTUS Sun degree, and the Jupiter-Saturn cycle begins again, lasting for approximately twenty years. As the 'flywheel of the Universe' keeping the planets in their courses via the natural law of expansion vs restriction, their conjunction times the genesis of a new order in society, and in Politics their combined energies express often as checks and balances and as our (alleged) two-party system.

As for the conjunction's synchronicity with US POTUS Sun (00AQ+ from our January 20th Inaugurations, the Presidential Oath of Office), a midpoint picture forms of Jupiter-Saturn = Sun: 'Taking destiny into one's own hands; major changes according to plan; or, if nothing has been prepared, becoming gripped by the status quo and having to make the best of things' (Tyl).

Now that sounds like a status quo we'd prefer to avoid.

Chiron to Aries Point 2019 and America's Chiron Return

In a previous post titled Chiron to Aries Point 2018-2019, you'll find quite a few general details concerning centaur Chiron, the Wounded Healer and priest, plus, notes on Chiron in Mars-ruled Aries which happens to be America's natal placement of Chiron @20Ari08 in our national 4th house of Roots, Foundation, and Endings, July 4, 1776.

Upcoming in the New Year is the third of three conjunctions of Chiron to AP on February 18, 2019 (shown in tri-wheel, outer chart), and with the US natal IC @00Ari47 (in the US chart I prefer: July 4, 1776 5:09 pm LMT Philadelphia, PA), this transit which occurs approximately every 50 years to a Cardinal World Point of Manifestation marks the introduction or entrance of Chiron into America's 4th house of Domestic Scene and Homeland, and casts a glance toward our nation's eventual Chiron Return which will perfect three times, due to Chiron's retrogradation: on April 20, 2024, November 8, 2024 (Rx), and February 18, 2025. (More on this in a future post.)

Rounding up, the Sabian Symbol for US Chiron @21Aries = "A Pugilist Entering The Ring" as we did in 1775/76 and beyond; and with US Chiron in Aries we often express the 'sacred warrior' archetype of the Seeker on a Quest identified as "pioneers, trailblazers, and/or mavericks" charting an independent course, seeking our national identity, and endeavoring to lead the world into the future (R. Nolle). As a nation we have traditionally held high the ideal that America fights for what is right, tarnished though that principled position has become with the less noble "might is right" attitude of expansionism, greed, and lust for ever-increasing power and military conquests.

Yet America's 1776 chart contains a helpful Mars-Chiron sextile which Richard Nolle points out, "indicates one whose strongest energies are channeled into the social/aesthetic sphere as a crucible of the Quest for self-transcendence."

So as America's Chiron Return period of 2024/25 nears we may expect such principles to express within the Collective Mind once again in similar fashion to the events, personalities, and Quest of 1776 at the founding of our nation rising up as 'one among the many.' For after all, the 4th house is one of the Watery Psychological Houses (4/8/12--Cancer-Scorpio-Pisces) and relates to what is needed in order to feel that we are psychologically 'at home' with our inherent sense of identity, formerly wounded, but finally able to face our nation's inner pugilist and throw off the bonds of oppression.

And did you happen to notice that The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 @29Leo 'eclipsed' Chiron's natal Saturn @29Leo which is the same position of one of our Founding Fathers' natal Saturn?! In other words, the Discovery of Chiron basically timed a posthumous Saturn Return for...guess who?

A Natal Chart for Sam Nunberg June 21, 1981

March 6, 2018: political consultant Sam Nunberg has been all over the news this week related to the Mueller investigation--here's an update on Sam Nunberg, former (twice fired!) employee of Donald Trump and accolyte of political operative Roger Stone who considers politics to be "performance art" (which is what I've been blogging for over 12 years now--political theater, dahlink!). Mr. Nunberg now says he will indeed respond to the Mueller subpoena after asserting yesterday that he would not because it might imperil his mentor, Roger Stone.

Without a birth time or a confirmed location of his birth (I suspect New York City so I'm using it to set the chart), here's a speculative 'noon' horoscope for Sam (Samuel?) Nunberg, member of the New York state bar, and man born with thinking-communicating Mercury Rx melded to his natal Sun (self-absorb much?) which is probably @00Cancer+ but if born prior to 7:54 am edt, may be in the last degree of chatty Gemini; Moon is in Aquarius (10:13--23:04). Either way, Sun and Mercury conjoin one of the Cardinal World Points of Manifestation so it seems that world fame is one of Mr. Nunberg's objectives in life.

DC Horoscope: Dec 19, 2017 Saturn Enters Capricorn

Here is a horoscope of the moment on December 19, 2017 that transit Saturn enters its own sign of Capricorn, a significant cosmic event. The horoscope is set for Washington DC with 25Vir18 rising which elects communicator Mercury as chart-ruler, though retrograde (signifying more delay).

Mercury in 3rd house as chart-ruler (and MC ruler) applies to one Ptolemaic aspect, a square to nebulous Neptune @11Pis40 in 6th house (see chart), and conjoins America's natal Ascendant for those who use July 4, 1776 in the late afternoon to set up a US natal horoscope. Naturally, we are reminded of Mr. Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square of misperception, indiscretion, falsehood, and wild promotions, or as astrologer Alan Oken terms the aspect, "The Sneaky Mind."

As you see, the karmic planet of limitation, delay, accountability, and old age does not leave the labyrinth that is Capricorn once the old man enters the door and crosses the Saturnian threshold where he'll eventually meet and greet transit Pluto @22Cap46 on January 12, 2020 and US natal Pluto (27Cap33), a time when disappointment over the past surges, and there's potential for loss of control over situations and events that are simply too big to handle.

Transit Saturn ends year 2018 @11Cap15 and will eventually enter Aquarius (a sign Saturn traditionally rules) on or about March 23, 2020. Saturn in Aquarius suggests ambitious plans without a solid foundation though there may be a wealth of social aspirations.

And on a rather curious note, conjunct the 12th cusp of Politics, Karma, Self-Undoing, and Large Institutions such as hospitals and prisons, is 28Leo35 which recalls (Mercury Rx) The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 which hit Mr. Trump's natal Ascendant. You'll remember the series' (1 North) themes include: information is distorted and possibly false and unexpected events loom large and put great pressure on relationships (Brady). How much more these potentials can apply to Mr. Trump, his family, and his White House I cannot imagine.

Washington DC Horoscope: Autumn Equinox 2016

Here they are! The horoscope and season few have been waiting for: Autumn Equinox 2016, chart set for the White House, our national Masonic lodge and main beehive of activity nestled in our nation's Masonic capital! Admire its chart-ruler Mars in 2nd house of National Treasury and applying to a square with Jupiter the General, financier, politician, and/or religious guru @2Libra49 in 11th house with the Libra-ingressing Sun!

As is the case annually (and though many astrologers prefer a different rising sign such as Scorpio), the Sun conjoins US natal Midheaven in the Sibley chart of July 4, 1776 5:09 pm, MC = 00Libra53, a Cardinal World Point) and as you see, transit Jupiter tops the US natal chart, a time of optimism, promotion, and possible rewards; important changes are occurring, not the least of which will be a new president. Of course, with Sun-Jupiter we can expect extravagance and overestimation of worth, strength, and/or ability but I'll let you decide whether this describes the US government, a particular politician, and/or a presidential wanna-be. This equinox chart covers Election Day 2016, as you know, until Winter Solstice 2016 which will relate to Inauguration 2017 (Winter Solstice 2016 post coming soon-ish).

General Blogging Note: please pardon that mockery is often involved in my posts for we may owe it to ourselves to ridicule Washington DC politicians and their enablers every chance we get since they purposefully dropped the ball on what was set up as 'our' democratic republic of America--in breach of the public contract and trust are the Utopian zealots and have been for decades (centuries). Some politicians pretend in public that they are not Utopian zealots but they are and personally, I consider them to be infiltrators infesting our country and capital as you can plainly read in the description of Stars Over Washington (underneath the title, above). It isn't our form of government that's the trouble, but we do need all termites, moths, and socio- and psycho-paths kicked out or locked up.

You see the T-Square of tension between the Mercury-Neptune opposition pointing toward Saturn which denotes potentials for pessimism and gloomy reactions which may not be valid (Tyl). And since Donald Trump is the candidate born with the fantastical Mercury-Neptune square (Hillary has a Mercury-Saturn square, as you remember, a policy wonk is she), the tension and gloom could be primarily a side dish on Mr. Trump's plate for Autumn 2016.
