Does the GOP Have Any Future? - Thom Hartmann (plus, Uranus-Neptune)

Here in a recent segment from the Thom Hartmann program is a timely question from Thom that you and I may want to consider:

Naturally as a novice astrologer, Thom's question causes me to think back to recent times when the Republican Party experienced its first-ever Neptune Return, an extended period due to planet Neptune's retrogradation habit with exact return dates dependent upon which founding horoscope for the party one uses. Was the dissolution function of Neptune, planet of deception, lies, and fraud, a cosmic signpost on the road to the GOP's current merging into whatever the Hades it's become, nazi or otherwise, under figure-head mobster Tr*mp, his thugs, and wealthy puppet masters, both foreign and domestic?

Meanwhile, as the Cosmos would have it, April 2021 timed the Republican Party's Uranus Return with radical Uranus, planet of rebellion, change, reform, upheaval, anarchy, technology, and - futurism - in rigid Taurus, often a sign of intolerance and greed. Check out astrologer Zeebling Monroe as he shares his views on the topic.

Well, I have to say that major changes of and by the outer planetary pair of Uranus-Neptune is no superficial matter. Together, Reinhold Ebertin gives the duo quite a curious list of Correspondences as potentials, and I quote:

Psychological

+ The development and growth of subconscious powers or forces, inner vision, inner illumination and enlightenment, inspiration, idealism, an interest in spiritual subjects, religious problems, mysticism, art.

- Lack of control of the waking consciousness leads to want of clarity. Instability, lack of emotional balance, nervous sensitivity, wrong ideas, one-sidedness.

Extraordinary and unusual inclinations.

Sociological

Mystics, people engaged in psychic research, mediums.

+ Peculiar psychic states, inspiration, spiritual cognition and understanding. Long journeys. (Contacts with foreign countries.)

- Lack of stamina and vitality, confused psychic states, peculiar inclinations, losses.

Additionally, Ebertin also gives the planetary pair Biological Correspondences which include heart failure, paralysis of rhythmic processes, and/or apoplexy of the brain. (Perhaps an uncaring cold-heartedness belongs on the list.)

Then we should also note that Uranus and Neptune are the 'Enlightenment Planets' of the 1700s ('The Age of Reason'; Science vs Faith), and in our era are associated with the 'new world order', aka, 'One World Government', a long-term plan of craven social meddlers. As you know, the two planets met in Great Conjunction three times all through 1993 @18Capricorn (18 to 20 degrees, actually), the degree area of the Zodiac which transit Pluto transformed in 2017 (arriving with Herr Tr*mp and his handlers) because a major midpoint picture was formed by the trio, one that has been mentioned multiple times in previous SO'W posts when societal conditions were not as stark and down-to-the-wire as they now are shown to be:

Uranus-Neptune = transit Pluto: "The big picture commands a certain course of action which must be followed; very little option to do otherwise" (Solar Arcs, Noel Tyl). Could that be a 'new world order' one supposes? A turn from democracy to authoritarianism? Here's my version of the 1993 NWO Horoscope set for October 24th Washington DC. Of interest is that the October 24th Sun in this chart will be eclipsed on October 25, 2022 with 6 South eclipse themes of 'being forceful, taking power' and 'exerting huge effort in group activity' (B. Brady). 6 South energy is known to be manic, so please be aware.

Well, an additional clue did appear when a new social order began when societal planets Jupiter and Saturn conjoined @00AQ29 on December 21, 2020 - conjunct US Inaugural Sun! Of course, a desperate Tr*mp was still playing at the role of POTUS then and Ebertin says the planetary trio's midpoint picture = change of residence and moodiness due to liver disturbance. But as you know, that's not all that disturbed the wide-girthed sore loser after the November 2020 presidential election and the Electoral College Vote in favor of Joe Biden on December 14th, the day of a difficult 4 South Solar Eclipse @23Sag08 manifesting near Tr*mp's separative Moon-SN conjunction of unpopularity when negatively expressed (childhood estrangement from Mama can do difficult things to a person).

So now in closing, I must add that there's no solace in the Sabian Symbol for 18 Capricorn although its negative expression does precisely describe the authoritarian mindset of the plutonian 'Republican' Party and their enablers of various persuasions: "smug or strong-armed paternalism."

A Look at Ole Man Trump's Saturn Return in Progress

Natal Saturn in watery Cancer: hypersensivity, feelings of discontent, neurosis, financial struggles, domestic strains.

When considering planets that affect Politics, politicians, and society, mundane Saturn is prominent on many levels. The karmic planet's restrictive function activates within many realms of life including financial matters and lawmaking, with Saturnian reality and what should be maturity undergirding it all as Saturn the taskmaster demands that rules be upheld. Either positively or negatively, lessons will be forthcoming and a Saturn Return times such life lessons for us all, even for a scofflaw like Trump.

Jettisoned from the White House on January 20, 2021, Saturnian folk now attempt to hold the out-of-control Herr T accountable for his past actions, which now must include his brazen theft of items and records from the White House as he skulked out the door, records which belong in our National Archives where Saturnian presidential records are traditionally kept. Predictably, it's always with the retaliation and revenge by ace grudge-holder, Trump, with his natal Mars rising opposing the US Moon of We The People!

Meanwhile, America's enduring of a Trump regime with all its scofflaw effects upon Saturnian laws and traditions compelled yours truly in 2018 to take a look at the man's Saturn Return and its influences as he ran and grabbed the White House (2015--2017), then exhibited his clumsy, kleptocratic form of Saturnian control and responsibility while playing a thespian's role as "POTUS" (2017--2021). And while he may deny it, you and I both know that accountability must come along with Saturn's authority figure and manager roles yet Mr. Trump 'doesn't do so well' on those scores, as a majority of Americans can agree. Then his resounding political loss in November 2020 told the tale even though he has yet to admit his election drubbing, with 'loss' as another Saturnian concept along with flaws, blockages and obstacles.

We may also note that the Sabian Symbol of his Saturn degree ('24Cancer') when negatively expressed is, "a devastating sense of ineptitude and estrangement from reality" (Jones). Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square with its fantasy-world spinning and tendency toward deception and malicious scheming aids him mightily in his drive to escape reality. However --

Will Legal Eagle Saturn Have the Final Smirk?

So! All this to say that in September 2018, I published here The Saturn Return of Mr. Trump: Authority Challenged which displayed the third of three of his Saturn Return Horoscopes of May 24, 2005. 'Good for' 28 to 30 years, we can divide the three-fer time frame into approximately 9-to-10-year increments in relation to life phases, his starting in 2004. Doing this suggests that he's now acting within the second decan (10 years) of his current Saturn Return until sometime during election year 2024. Then the third phase begins and contains influences from the YOD pattern, see below.

Now in 2022, a determined (and desperate to escape accountability) Herr Trump continues to have trouble with his Saturnian functions and refuses to give up what he deems to be a continuation of his 'authority' and 'control' of the White House as he expresses from way down in Mar-A-Lago what he considers to be his political power. Cultishly, minions and thugs continue to do his will though some of the smarter ones have dropped away.

Oh Look! It's a Plutonian YOD Pattern

So to me, this absurd, engineered condition of authoritarianism within the US power structure points out the critical importance of Mr. Trump's Saturn Return which was actually a three-fer affair that became exact on September 4, 2004, *January 14, 2005 (Rx; see below), and, as noted in the 2018 horoscope linked above, May 24, 2005. Then if we consider recent events such as the Electoral College Vote for his rival Joe Biden on December 14, 2020, the day of a difficult 4 South Solar Eclipse @23Sag08 ('strong emotions over money and/or relationships' - B. Brady), plus, the violent events of January 6, 2021 intended to keep power in his tiny, grabby hands, it seems more than a little interesting that Trump's third return chart of May 24, 2005 shows a YOD pattern (crisis, turning point, crossroads, special task, and/or karmic/spiritual opportunity) with a Mercury-Saturn sextile at its base. Note that a Mercury-Saturn sextile suggests setting priorities, managing resources, and/or chafing against restrictions (which he does so well). Of course, this marks a Mercury-sextile-natal-Saturn transit for Trump indicating a favorable time to prepare future plans, and - a warning here - perhaps an opportunity to receive recognition of his authority and experience.

So which is the third planet sitting at apex of the YOD? Why, power-craving Pluto Rx @23Sag41 in Trump's Return 2nd hou$e. And significantly, this happens to be the degree of the 4 South Electoral College Vote Eclipse of December 14, 2020. Negatively speaking, such a plutonian/eclipse influence represents serious karmic setbacks and criminal offenses. Well, yes. We've noticed.

Now my suspicion is that the Mercury-Saturn-Pluto vibrations of the YOD pattern within the realms of Saturnian authority and accountability are what Mr. Trump can expect going forward and its potentials could very well affect him in the 2024 Election, if the 'flight risk' runs for office at all. For if legal eagle Saturn has his way, by 2024 or before Trump may be running in the opposite direction from Washington DC.

So let's read the YOD's trio of planets as a midpoint picture to see what possibilities are suggested:

Mercury-Saturn = Pluto: 'brooding over one's destiny; grappling with unusual problems' (R. Ebertin); 'serious incidents provoke questioning official communications'; 'ending business with others due to communications breakdowns' (M. Munkasey); 'contemplating loss; fearing wipe-out; abandonment; feeling resourceless' (N. Tyl).

Well, I don't know about you, dear reader, but I can think of more than one of these potentials which apply to the authoritarian Mr. Trump, a fellow who can hardly be described as representing the ideal of a man who takes karmic Saturn's demands seriously enough to satisfy them - but perhaps we should count the fact that, at the ripe old age of 75 going-on-76, he is most definitely, and not very much more than, an old man.

FDR and a most bracing Fireside Chat #20

Delivered in 1942 on the occasion of the anniversary of George Washington's birthday, President Franklin D. Roosevelt delivered #20 of his Fireside Chats designed to tell the American people what was happening to the extent that he could (without informing the enemy of what they didn't already know). And with the Chat's anniversary arriving in a couple of weeks (February 23, 2022), here are a few excerpts from his Chat #20 with a link to the audio added, below, plus, the option to skip the audio and read the transcript:

"Your government has unmistakable confidence in your ability to hear the worst, without flinching or losing heart."

"In a democracy there is always a solemn pact of truth between government and the people, but there must also always be a full use of discretion, and that word discretion applies to critics of government as well."

"The American people do not wish to help the enemy any more than our fighting forces do, and they will pay little attention to the rumor-mongers and the poison peddlers in our midst."

"But, in speaking for the United States of America, let me say once and for all to the people of the world: We Americans have been compelled to yield ground, but we will regain it."

And, critically important for our current conditions and the authoritarian propaganda we now hear or read about every single day and night unless we studiously avoid it:

"Conquered nations in Europe know what the yoke of the Nazis is like."

Yes, Europe must remember! But meanwhile, we know that America is the authoritarians' prime target these days for Americans are given little if any respite from the constant repetition of lies promoted by "rumor-mongers" and the "poison peddlers in our midst." Our much touted "24-hour news cycle" is too often a toxic 24-hour rumor mill and conspiracy theory opportunity for poison peddlers to utilize (aided by coporate and other media outlets). And now, in clear view, they are vehicles for propaganda spewed by Nazi acolytes, 'goose steppers', and their political enablers, many of whom claim membership in Tr*mp's 'Republican Party'.

Yet despite it all, a portion of the US population, and others across the globe, seem to be unfazed by the threat of an enforced Nazi yoke which has once again arrived on US shores and is being advanced by infiltrators and saboteurs of a fasc*st or n*zi persuasion. we're watching Benito and Adolf regimes struggling toward rejuvenation with malcontented troublemakers leading the pack. No reforming the system from within for this wolfish crowd!

And so in honor of previous generations of Americans who understood who the enemy was and, recognizing evil when confronted by it, fought America's enemies wherever and whenever it was necessary, I recommend to you, dear reader, the rest of FDR's remarks from that February evening in 1942 (with his inspired Neptune rising in practical Virgo!) for his words are worth your attention if you can spare it, as are any of his other Fireside Chats:

Nixon's "War on Drugs" Scam Must End

America's Militarized Police State is Anti-American

Richard's Nixon's much touted term "war on drugs" was coined on June 18, 1971 and popularized by the media. And in 2016, in a segment on his Live broadcast, Thom Hartmann related this deceptive Nixon campaign meant to fight against his enemies (Vietman War and civil rights protestors, and African-Americans of his day) as one of the signposts on the way to increasing violence in America.

Then prior to 1971, the televised incidents of violence at DNC 1968 in Chicago made a shocking spectacle of purposeful political violence shown vividly on TV to the American public although a percentage of viewers may have cheered. Was this melee of disruption against the Democratic Party an early example of "owning the libs"?

Meanwhile, history tends to rhyme through similar events and conditions, and on SO'W a correlation between historical and eclipse cycles is noted quite frequently. So here's another such for you:

Solar Eclipses in the same Saros Series as those in 1968 will repeat in 2022 - the first eclipse manifests on April 30th @10Taurus (6 North: Themes - 'relationship to authority figures; someone becomes unreliable; commitments are made'), the second on October 25th @2Scorpio (6 South: Themes - 'being forceful and taking power; exerting huge efforts in group activities' - paraphrasing B. Brady).

Significantly, a 6 South Solar Eclipse manifested in August 1932 as what I call the Nazi Rise to Power Eclipse with the chart showing, as you can see, eclipse Saturn conjunct US natal Pluto, a transit that times a period of power and control issues, and indicates that situations are simply too large to handle.

And as we know, Germany cheered Herr Adolf for "being forceful" and "taking power" while many Americans cheered for FDR with motives much less brutal as he enjoined a battle against America's enemies, rather than joining them. In fact, the "economic royalists" of 1933 attempted a fascist coup against FDR and failed. So can we agree that a 'watchful eye to safety' is now necessary due to saboteurs and other coup planners who harbor fasci*t intentions as they lurk about the country, secretly and publicly, and who are determined to strike again against the US government?

Meanwhile, a breakdown in the fabric of society is well underway, a longterm goal of the GOP, and this causes chaotic societal conditions just right for coup attempts such as Congress and the American public were terrorized by on January 6, 2021.

As for Nixon's "War on Drugs", global and ongoing as it tragically and unfairly is, this political scam was invented within a 9 New North Saros Series via the Solar Eclipse of February 25, 1971 @6Pisces (in secretive, shady Pisces - with the sign suggesting serious karmic implications). 9NN Themes: 'violence or sudden physical events, accidents; keep a watchful eye on safety'. (Also notable given current events is that a 9 New North Eclipse also manifested @14Aquarius on February 3, 1935, the year that the Nazis appropriated the 'swastika' symbol for their party's official flag.)

So it seems to me that ending the bogus "war on drugs" and the gestapo-style no-knock warrants that resulted from its strong-armed enforcement would be a major step forward toward keeping a 'watchful eye' on every American's safety.

Why, karmic progress would be made! Plus, relief would be welcomed for America's callous prison system full of non-violent drug offenders and other unfairly imprisoned victims of what has become a militarized police state, a condition which can be partially described astrologically by US Mars turned retrograde by progression, a weakening if symbolic indicator for testosterone-driven Mars, the warrior planet of motive, action, and desire.

Brutal Factions Seek Violent Conflicts in US Streets

Therefore, I must ask you, dear reader: why have such deceptive reforms been instituted over the last decades by certain domestic and foreign factions including the arming of police departments with military weapons if an authoritarian take-over by brutal manipulators and their corporate backers hadn't been planned for America's future? Is NRA opposition to gun control reform their stance in order to make battles fought in US streets possible and more deadly? These ploys of brutality might also be identified as Herr T's "carnage in America" which I realized on January 20, 2017 was a threat rather than his lament.

So! Whether such malevolent plans and activities have been in process through the decades or not, it's now 2022 with the Midterm Elections and a Taurus Lunar Eclipse conjunct radical Uranus drawing near, and, prior to that, a karmic 'cosmic blink' Eclipse in Scorpio arriving in October, so that this, right now, must be where our resistance to authoritarianism is made crystal clear!

Nazi Book Burning May 10, 1933 and Joseph Goebbels

Not February 6th but August 25, 2022: An Update

Although the first Nazi Book Burning occurred earlier in May 1933, below is an updated Horoscope of the more famous event that occurred on the night of May 10, 1933 in front of the State Opera House, Bebelplatz, Berlin, Germany. Approximately 30,000 books were set alight including those of Freud, Marx, Hemingway, plus, books on Science, Philosophy, and more. Head Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels spoke at midnight, then bonfires were set in Berlin by members of the German Student Union as well as in multiple university towns across Germany - a campaign of censorship against ideas which were 'contrary' to Nazi ideology.

Highlighted in green, you'll see that natal placements of Joseph Goebbels are all over the event chart! Rising is his natal Scorpio Sun along with his other Scorpio planets, his natal Ascendant @1Leo42 has just crossed Midheaven ('MC' = The Goal: he and his ego are on full display), and the North Node of public contact @4Pis34 points toward his hellish Hades. Please note that this post is being edited on Thursday August 25, 2022 and the above May 10, 1933 Horoscope is now set more accurately for 11:59:59 pm CET Berlin - and, for the purposes of this post - the 1933 Book Burning Horoscope is no longer surrounded by the event's Saturn Return Horoscope (Feb 2, 2022) @16AQ09 as in the original version of this post, but the event's Saturn Return is listed at the top of the horoscope.

A few factors not penned on the chart include: Jupiter at Station Direct (turned Direct 12H 39 M prior @13Vir17:24), the Moon is out-of-bounds of the earthly plane ('OOBs'), the infamous 'Marseillaise Trio' of violence (Mars-Neptune-Jupiter) is there in 10th house, and the dynamic T-Square of Mars-NN = Moon also contains another midpoint picture of significance:

Neptune-NN = Moon: 'lack of community spirit; cessation of an inner understanding between people' (R. Ebertin), an anti-societal tactic which we may agree describes a splitting or division of society and which Nazi ideology must have in order to successfully force itself upon a population. And please note that the event's 7 North Prenatal Solar Eclipse @5Pis28 (4th house) is what I've previously labeled the 'Fascism Rising Eclipse' - and a 7 North eclipse repeats on April 20, 2023 @30Aries.

2022 and Beyond: A World on the Verge of Major Change

Several dates and events of importance pop out in the Timeline of the French Revolution concerning multiple events which may be used to set up Horoscopes through which we may study the intense era's events sparked and fought during an oppositional phase of the revolutionary, liberating, and transformative energies of the 'old order vs new order' duo of Uranus and Pluto, the duo then glaring at one another across the self-willed Leo-Aquarius axis. Naturally, a collapse of the old order is firmly implied and, given current events, it seems no coincidence that America is in process of her first-ever Pluto Return, three times all though 2022 (exact return dates dependent upon which US Horoscope is preferred, see below). We might wish to add that our 2022 'return year' is a timing device in league with society's plutonian repetition of 'The Tower Eclipse' of 2018 in the 2 New North Saros Series which occurred while the Uranus-Pluto Square was within orb (Taurus to Aquarius).

A prominent event for setting up such a revolutionary horoscope of the French Revolution is the Execution of King Louis VXI on January 21, 1793 at 10:20 LMT Paris, France (Campion's chart #108, historically accurate) with 13Ari22 rising, 5Cap42 at Midheaven with Mercury, and radical reformer Uranus Rx @22Leo31 opposed by manipulative Pluto @22AQ28. On that day of extreme violence, the old order of Monarchy collapsed into a basket as blade-wielding activist Mars @28AQ10 had opposed erratic zealot Uranus, planet of Utopian anarchy. Recently active in our era in Mars-ruled Aries, but now lurching through stubborn, often intolerant Taurus, is catalyst Uranus today @10Taurus. Transit Uranus won't reach Gemini until July 2025, the year containing what should be a US Inauguration 2025 - but dependent on overarching cosmic cycles and how the global energies are utilized.

Yet as you may imagine, the 'common good' sentiments which continue to inspire SO'W's political leanings and posts have brought many rude trumpian and other trolls to my Comments Moderation list - never to be published, of course, and always of the personal insult persuasion. Even a few astrologers through the years have taken exception and critcized my use of Astrology as a practical system for investigating profane Politics. On some level, this reminds me of starry Sirius' basic keywords, the mundane becoming sacred. Or rather, the other way around - if such reciprocation is even possible!

Meanwhile, you know that society's current Uranus-Pluto Cycle began with their three conjunctions of 1965 and 1966 from 16 to 18 degrees of Mercury-ruled Virgo (conjunct my natal Ascendant!). Subsequently, the years 2010 to 2014 brought the world an aspect that became quite famously known as the Cardinal Squares of Uranus and Pluto, a phase issuing from their 1960s conjunction/s. Does an Ancient Eclipse Link to Trump and the 1/6 Revolt?

As a Saturnian astrologer fond of the phrase "history rhymes" via similarly repeating events rather than "history repeats" precisely, it has come to my attention during a review of my previous research concerning Masonic Grand Commander Albert Pike that the 'MAGA Mob Attack', aka, Trump's Insurrection of January 6, 2021 meant to retain power by overthrowing the US government, contains a whiff or two, possibly an echo - of the ancient Third Servile War of escaped gladiator slaves who battled against the Roman Empire beginning in 073 B.C. in Capua, Italy.

Escaping from the Capuan Gladiator School using kitchen implements ("choppers and spits") due to the betrayal of their plot, a group of slaves, over 70-strong but soon growing, managed to escape from captivity and a two-year revolt was enjoined as they roamed, raided, and pillaged the land. Once freed, three military leaders had been chosen by the group (a militia?), one of which was the slave gladiator famously known as Spartacus.

However, the revolt, which some historians have called a "civil war" intended to capture the city of Rome, ended for the slave-army in total defeat and approximately 11,000 of the revolt's survivors were crucified, all or thousands of them along the Appian Way.

Meanwhile in our day, Herr Trump demands freedom from a duly elected government and is already in process of mounting another challenge to governmental authority meant to re-grasp the reins of power any way he can - unless The Empire prevents and defeats him. Menacingly stirring the simmering pot of insurrection as it nears the boiling point, Trump's incendiary remarks during a recent rally have the Georgia Prosecutor Asking the FBI for Security Help as the flight risk 'teases' a POTUS run in 2024 and promises his insurrectionists 'pardons' (which may never be granted - he's not known for follow-through, and will promise anything in the moment in order to achieve his purpose: suckers!).

The Servile War Saturn and Total Eclipse of 073 BC with the 4 South Eclipse of December 14, 2020

Now admittedly I possess no thematic information concerning the Solar Eclipse of 073 BC as being a member of the 4 South Saros Series (4S themes are penned on the chart - its initial eclipse occurred April 17, 1624 @28Aries - see lower right corner) but what I'm noting here are cosmic time links such as Sun-Moon-Uranus in 073 BC as an echo of the 2022 Midterms Lunar Eclipse in Taurus conjunct Uranus (the "swords vs torches" eclipse), and the fact that 073 BC Saturn Rx @23Sag34, acts as the handle of a Sling shape (like a Bucket but more concentrated) and this denotes the leader of the concentrated planetary energies (actors) directed upon a specific goal (freedom! overthrowing the empire!). Authoritative Saturn's leadership is modified by the Mars-Jupiter Conjunction in Leo which sesqui-squares Saturn so might 073 BC Saturn represent Spartacus while Mars and Jupiter = the other two leaders of the revolt? (Sun-ruled Leo = ego and pride, and Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius = the freedom to range far and wide). Of course, in reality, an actual sling as a weapon reminds us of the small David battling a huge Goliath, yes? Karmic lessons apply.

A Taurus Eclipse Requires a Firm Stand Against Obstacles

My suspicion is that the 073 BC Solar Eclipse @14Tau15 conjunct radical Uranus influenced the Third Servile War (as the first eclipse of the year), an insurrection against the Roman Empire and Army, and that perhaps the eclipse's ancient Saturnian and Taurean energies have been triggered or activated by the difficult 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 @23Sag08 and by zealous Uranus, once again in Taurus. Plus, there are other planetary contacts (ex: 073 BC Venus conjoined by 2021 Mars at a critical 29th degree) with potentials for violent activities by folks who are prodded into taking action without fully understanding the severity of the consequences. Sound familiar?

Yes, slavery is tied up with the 073 BC Eclipse in mid-Taurus, but in the US such vile conditions now rhyme rather than precisely repeating - even though its evil effects continue to haunt us. Yet perhaps we may agree that a case can be made for citing the economic slavery of Predatory Capitalism within American Plutocracy, and for the lucrative trafficking and abuse of human beings being perpetrated in the shadows. Modern society remains encumbered by karmic conditions which must be confronted and dealt with. And as is often said, it's about time, sealed fate notwithstanding.

Then as we see rising in 1st house, 073 BC Neptune @8Gem50 was conjoined in July 1776 by US Uranus (8:55), a planet of freedom, independence, war, and revolt. Such a transit signifies a period when demented Neptunian ideals can mock issues of equality, personal freedom, and what we now call civil rights, while expression of political and social ideals are frustrated; yet there are opportunities for deep insights into societal conditions emerging from the Collective Unconscious. Well, I think they emerged in 1776 and we'd do best in 2022 by continuing to coax them forward - sans governmental overthrow.

On The Nodal Axis of Fated Encounters with The Dragon

Quirkily enough, one karmic Nodal contact is the 073 BC South Node @23Tau06 conjunct puppet master Pluto (with 'Saturn-Pluto' vibes and disrupted social conditions), and both conjunct the natal Midheaven of Herr Trump where vicious star of rage and destruction, Algol, twinkles. Another contact is the Mars-Jupiter Conjunction at IC which conjoins what turned out to be America's 1776 Nodal Axis (6Leo/6AQ). And although undiscovered until 1930, one of the outer karmic planets in 073 BC, slow-moving Pluto, rises with Castor, star of 'crippled limbs, loss, and/or murder' (A. Louis).

Additionally, by using the Placidus house system as done here, we find that karmic conditions which must be dealt with are further identified by the Taurus-Scorpio polarity intercepted across the 6/12 victim-savior axis. Meanwhile, chart-ruler Mercury rising @27Tau59, planet of travel and trickery, makes no applying aspects in the eclipse chart so its sign and house placements are emphasized:

The above Horoscope of the first Solar Eclipse of 073 BC on May 8th, a Total Eclipse, closely mimics some of the planetary positions of our day (exs: Sun-Moon-Uranus in Taurus and Mercury-Pluto; 073 BC Pluto = 073 BC Uranus-Neptune: "The big picture demands a certain course of action; little option to do otherwise" - N. Tyl; this picture repeated by transit in 2017 as: 1993 Uranus-Neptune Conjunction @18Capricorn = 2017 Pluto). Included are other planetary contacts, aka, 'cosmic time links', with the 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 manifesting upon the very day of the Electoral College Vote that Herr Trump takes such great exception to and which he tries to ignore by spouting 'The Big Lie' in order to gaslight his followers into perpetrating his dirty work. (And sending him donations.)

And yet the December 14, 2020 4 South lunation occurred @23Sag08 - conjunct Inauguration 2017's 8th house Saturn which represents an 'eclipse' of Trumpian authority and control as revealed in the real world by the Electoral College Vote in favor of Joe Biden. With Trump's Inaugural Saturn eclipsed, accountability for his past lapses of responsibility and lack of authenticity while in office are demanded but instead of accepting Saturnian reality and owning up to his mistakes, he's been beefing about his (Saturnian) loss ever since. A notable lack of karmic progress challenges improvements in the US via 'leader' Trump as America's former representative.

On the Mysterious Death of Nicola Tesla

Perhaps you've watch the History Channel's YouTube documentary The Tesla Files: Shadow Government Revealed (S1 E5). Born July 9, 1856 during a midnight thunderstorm in Gospic, Croatia with early Taurus and Pluto rising, Uranian genius Nicola (Nikola!) Tesla's inventions made posible many things such as the wireless technology we employ today. Dying under what seem to be mysterious circumstances on the night of January 7, 1943 in his Manhattan hotel room at The New Yorker, Tesla's files were reportedly gathered up and taken away by the FBI a couple of days after a hotel maid found his lifeless body. By this time, Tesla was very thin and living on warm milk and crackers, plus, the scientist was penniless after a lifetime of inventions (stolen!) and a habit of sleeping only two hours per night.

Apparently, Tesla suffered from a heart condition and died during a Saturn-Uranus-Conjunction period ('Saturn-Uranus' = heart blockage - R. Ebertin). Official cause of death: heart thrombosis. This may be true but it doesn't rule out criminal interference speeding his death along. However, as the above documentary mentions, it could be that Tesla was not being secretly surveilled by government agencies, but was actually working with them. This was, after all, the era of the secret Manhattan Project and other covert projects relating to the war effort and weaponry. Even 'UFOs' became involved in Tesla's story as detailed in the above documentary, and there's a link from there to the commandering of Tesla's files after his death. Perhaps you've heard of the The Majestic Twelve and the conspiracy theories that have swirled out of this secretive group of scientists.

Then There's Poor Old Tesla Playing with Pigeons

These days, there are people asking, was Tesla's famous devotion to pigeons more professional than personal? Were secret messages sent to and from a (secretly?) surveilled Nicola Tesla via pigeons he kept on the roof of The New Yorker Hotel? If Tesla was being spied upon by various entities, it's no mere theory that homing pigeons had been used as winged messengers before, by the US military, in fact. And curiously, on an astrological note, for the Vertex ('VX' of fated encounters) at this death (unmarked on the chart but @19AQ55), its rounded-up degree of @20AQ reveals an appropriate Sabian Symbol of "A Big White Dove, A Message Bearer"! In the above documentary, you can see a photo of Tesla's favorite pigeon - and yes, it's white.

Perhaps another cosmic curiosity is that his 1943 Death Neptune Rx @2Lib03 conjuncts - hides - Tesla's natal Nemesis, the unbeatable foe (2Lib22), and of course, sneaky Neptune is the karmic planet of veils, disguises, surveillance, lies, fraud, corruption, speculation, loss, and more. Then rising at 10:30 pm EWT in the Death Horoscope is 14Vir21 which brings up Tesla's natal Icarus, asteroid of 'assassination' and/or 'falling from position' - and possibly being unprepared for the task ahead.

Meanwhile, there's a solar timing device between the charts because Tesla's demise, natural or assisted, came during his un-birthday when the Sun in Capricorn opposed his natal Sun in Cancer, an annual time of reassessment of one's goals for the year. Did a mystery visitor that January 7th insist on a change of direction that Nicola Tesla refused to make? Could it have related to the development of the atom bomb? Well, transit Mercury and Pluto Rx were opposed (across the US Nodal Axis of meetings, encounters, separations) which suggests that someone was determined to undermine existing circumstances along with the spying that comes with this pair. Their opposition by transit echoes America's Mercury-Pluto opposition of July 1776, a cosmic picture of "knowledge is power'.

Yet this opposition can also suggest that Tesla's complex thought patterns may have been unraveling or disintegrating due to longstanding health factors at his age such as the development of brain-related conditions (ex: dementia). After all, he'd reached 87 years old, was subsisting on a poor diet, and had already lived 3 years beyond his Uranus Return/s when things and memories important in the past tend to be let go or forgotten, thus creating a form of mental freedom - in other words, a natural process. Three times genius Tesla's Uranus returned to natal degree (23Tau56 in 1st house): twice in 1940 in June and November, and once in April 1941.

Then on a biological level, Reinhold Ebertin gives the Mercury-Pluto duo a link to 'nerve troubles' and to 'the overtaxing of strength' through 'excessive zeal'. For the brilliant Nicola Tesla, born with primal Pluto rising and thus able to see deeply into reality itself and understand the Universe's cosmic underpinnings, his was a life time of zeal.

And so my suspicion is that a certain midpoint picture of transformation and scientific breakthroughs, which prominently conjuncts his natal Ascendant at birth, could have played a primary part in his zealous life mission and inventions on behalf of the betterment of mankind:

Pluto = Jupiter-Uranus: devices that can transform the world!

And yet the mystery of Nicola Tesla's death remains, with Astrology offering valuable insights while providing no definite conclusion for most of us regarding the 'natural or assisted' question.
