Does an Ancient Eclipse Link to Trump and the 1/6 Revolt?

As a Saturnian astrologer fond of the phrase "history rhymes" via similarly repeating events rather than "history repeats" precisely, it has come to my attention during a review of my previous research concerning Masonic Grand Commander Albert Pike that the 'MAGA Mob Attack', aka, Trump's Insurrection of January 6, 2021 meant to retain power by overthrowing the US government, contains a whiff or two, possibly an echo - of the ancient Third Servile War of escaped gladiator slaves who battled against the Roman Empire beginning in 073 B.C. in Capua, Italy.

Escaping from the Capuan Gladiator School using kitchen implements ("choppers and spits") due to the betrayal of their plot, a group of slaves, over 70-strong but soon growing, managed to escape from captivity and a two-year revolt was enjoined as they roamed, raided, and pillaged the land. Once freed, three military leaders had been chosen by the group (a militia?), one of which was the slave gladiator famously known as Spartacus.

However, the revolt, which some historians have called a "civil war" intended to capture the city of Rome, ended for the slave-army in total defeat and approximately 11,000 of the revolt's survivors were crucified, all or thousands of them along the Appian Way.

Meanwhile in our day, Herr Trump demands freedom from a duly elected government and is already in process of mounting another challenge to governmental authority meant to re-grasp the reins of power any way he can - unless The Empire prevents and defeats him. Menacingly stirring the simmering pot of insurrection as it nears the boiling point, Trump's incendiary remarks during a recent rally have the Georgia Prosecutor Asking the FBI for Security Help as the flight risk 'teases' a POTUS run in 2024 and promises his insurrectionists 'pardons' (which may never be granted - he's not known for follow-through, and will promise anything in the moment in order to achieve his purpose: suckers!).

The Servile War Saturn and Total Eclipse of 073 BC with the 4 South Eclipse of December 14, 2020

Now admittedly I possess no thematic information concerning the Solar Eclipse of 073 BC as being a member of the 4 South Saros Series (4S themes are penned on the chart - its initial eclipse occurred April 17, 1624 @28Aries - see lower right corner) but what I'm noting here are cosmic time links such as Sun-Moon-Uranus in 073 BC as an echo of the 2022 Midterms Lunar Eclipse in Taurus conjunct Uranus (the "swords vs torches" eclipse), and the fact that 073 BC Saturn Rx @23Sag34, acts as the handle of a Sling shape (like a Bucket but more concentrated) and this denotes the leader of the concentrated planetary energies (actors) directed upon a specific goal (freedom! overthrowing the empire!). Authoritative Saturn's leadership is modified by the Mars-Jupiter Conjunction in Leo which sesqui-squares Saturn so might 073 BC Saturn represent Spartacus while Mars and Jupiter = the other two leaders of the revolt? (Sun-ruled Leo = ego and pride, and Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius = the freedom to range far and wide). Of course, in reality, an actual sling as a weapon reminds us of the small David battling a huge Goliath, yes? Karmic lessons apply.

A Taurus Eclipse Requires a Firm Stand Against Obstacles

My suspicion is that the 073 BC Solar Eclipse @14Tau15 conjunct radical Uranus influenced the Third Servile War (as the first eclipse of the year), an insurrection against the Roman Empire and Army, and that perhaps the eclipse's ancient Saturnian and Taurean energies have been triggered or activated by the difficult 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 @23Sag08 and by zealous Uranus, once again in Taurus. Plus, there are other planetary contacts (ex: 073 BC Venus conjoined by 2021 Mars at a critical 29th degree) with potentials for violent activities by folks who are prodded into taking action without fully understanding the severity of the consequences. Sound familiar?

Yes, slavery is tied up with the 073 BC Eclipse in mid-Taurus, but in the US such vile conditions now rhyme rather than precisely repeating - even though its evil effects continue to haunt us. Yet perhaps we may agree that a case can be made for citing the economic slavery of Predatory Capitalism within American Plutocracy, and for the lucrative trafficking and abuse of human beings being perpetrated in the shadows. Modern society remains encumbered by karmic conditions which must be confronted and dealt with. And as is often said, it's about time, sealed fate notwithstanding.

Then as we see rising in 1st house, 073 BC Neptune @8Gem50 was conjoined in July 1776 by US Uranus (8:55), a planet of freedom, independence, war, and revolt. Such a transit signifies a period when demented Neptunian ideals can mock issues of equality, personal freedom, and what we now call civil rights, while expression of political and social ideals are frustrated; yet there are opportunities for deep insights into societal conditions emerging from the Collective Unconscious. Well, I think they emerged in 1776 and we'd do best in 2022 by continuing to coax them forward - sans governmental overthrow.

On The Nodal Axis of Fated Encounters with The Dragon

Quirkily enough, one karmic Nodal contact is the 073 BC South Node @23Tau06 conjunct puppet master Pluto (with 'Saturn-Pluto' vibes and disrupted social conditions), and both conjunct the natal Midheaven of Herr Trump where vicious star of rage and destruction, Algol, twinkles. Another contact is the Mars-Jupiter Conjunction at IC which conjoins what turned out to be America's 1776 Nodal Axis (6Leo/6AQ). And although undiscovered until 1930, one of the outer karmic planets in 073 BC, slow-moving Pluto, rises with Castor, star of 'crippled limbs, loss, and/or murder' (A. Louis).

Additionally, by using the Placidus house system as done here, we find that karmic conditions which must be dealt with are further identified by the Taurus-Scorpio polarity intercepted across the 6/12 victim-savior axis. Meanwhile, chart-ruler Mercury rising @27Tau59, planet of travel and trickery, makes no applying aspects in the eclipse chart so its sign and house placements are emphasized:

The above Horoscope of the first Solar Eclipse of 073 BC on May 8th, a Total Eclipse, closely mimics some of the planetary positions of our day (exs: Sun-Moon-Uranus in Taurus and Mercury-Pluto; 073 BC Pluto = 073 BC Uranus-Neptune: "The big picture demands a certain course of action; little option to do otherwise" - N. Tyl; this picture repeated by transit in 2017 as: 1993 Uranus-Neptune Conjunction @18Capricorn = 2017 Pluto). Included are other planetary contacts, aka, 'cosmic time links', with the 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 manifesting upon the very day of the Electoral College Vote that Herr Trump takes such great exception to and which he tries to ignore by spouting 'The Big Lie' in order to gaslight his followers into perpetrating his dirty work. (And sending him donations.)

And yet the December 14, 2020 4 South lunation occurred @23Sag08 - conjunct Inauguration 2017's 8th house Saturn which represents an 'eclipse' of Trumpian authority and control as revealed in the real world by the Electoral College Vote in favor of Joe Biden. With Trump's Inaugural Saturn eclipsed, accountability for his past lapses of responsibility and lack of authenticity while in office are demanded but instead of accepting Saturnian reality and owning up to his mistakes, he's been beefing about his (Saturnian) loss ever since. A notable lack of karmic progress challenges improvements in the US via 'leader' Trump as America's former representative.

June 20, 2019: Here is the August 11, 2019 Horoscope set for Washington DC at the moment (9:37:13 am edt) when Jupiter Stations @14Sag30 (3rd house of Communications) then begins forward movement (as it seems from Earth). Transit Jupiter reaches 15 Sagittarius on or about August 30 and will pass its April 10 Direct Station degree of 24Sag21 (when the planet's retrograde period began) on November 5, 2019 at 9:36:31 pm est after which Jupiterian issues, concerns, projects, and people will make better progress and horizons will broaden. Plus, in the realms of Politics and Finance, a Jupiterian figure's delaying tactics may cease to be effective in November although some improvement in such matters may be noticed around August 11 or afterward.

As you see, Jupiter's August 11, 2019 change of direction chart shows 27Vir34 rising and 27Gem14 at Midheaven so that Mercury in Moon-ruled Cancer (just barely into 10th house) rules both the Ascendant and the Goal Point (MC) yet the Messenger planet makes no applying Ptolemaic aspects in this chart which emphasizes its sign and house positions. Naturally, the Sabian Symbols are enlightening for the degrees of each planet, eclipse, station, angle, etc but only the symbol for Mercury's degree (rounded-up to '30 CANCER') is penned upon the chart, upper center..."A Daughter of the American Revolution". Make what you will of this!

Now Jupiter is highlighted in green (if you can see it!) and rebellious Uranus is highlighted in pink because Uranus also changes direction on August 11, 2019 @6Tau36:54, turning retrograde 12 hours and 49 minutes after Jupiter's about-face. As a pair, the combined energies of the Jupiter-Uranus duo indicates potentials for reforms and breakthroughs but also for 'civil unrest (strikes, protests) due to legal or religious systems that stifle justice for the common people' and/or for 'applying legal methods against breakdowns in order' (Munkasey). Often the duo relates to scientific breakthroughs and discoveries (at conjunction--their next on April 21, 2024 @21Tau50) along with a tendency toward a certain form of deafness when the opinions of others are not wanted to be heard!

Now let's note that the 2019 Mars Return of Donald Trump occurs the next day--August 12, 2019 (marked upon the chart, lower right). Also, this chart shows the Sun's return to its and the Moon's degree of the August 11, 2018 eclipse--The Tower Solar Eclipse @18Leo41. Significant in 2019? Probably since Establishment agencies, politicians, and their enablers continue their attempts the break down or destroy the various towers that Trump built! Or at least, they pretend that his destruction is their goal. But are We The People being fooled by a political charade with tyranny the goal? I ask because history tends to rhyme so I must wonder if America's Trumpian lesson echoes the fate of the Roman Empire which eventually gave up its republican form of government and turned toward autocracy and the one-man-rule of Augustus Caesar. Now we watch as "stable genius" Trump and his minions work hard toward converting our nation into this very thing. Any thoughts? No?

Well, here are a few words from a book I'm currently reading and recommending (stop me if you've heard this one):

"No republic is eternal. It lives only as long as its citizens want it. {And} when a republic fails to work as intended, its citizens are capable of choosing the stability of autocratic rule over the chaos of a broken republic...Rome offers a lesson about how citizens and leaders of a republic might avoid forcing their fellow citizens to make such a tortured choice." And as most if not all Americans know, Benjamin Franklin is famous for his answer to a question which echoes from America's founding days...what form of government was created in 1776? "A Republic, if you can keep it."

Sadly I must doubt that the Trump voters of 2016 fully realized the risk they took by replacing our republic, broken as it was, with an autocracy--not of order and stability but one made unstable by more chaos than we had before under the 'guidance' of Uranian Trump who doesn't seem to have ever met an authoritarian dictator he doesn't intend to emulate.

Did climate change help collapse the Roman Empire?

Having mixed feelings about the report that climate change may have had a part in the Fall of the Roman Empire, I'm posting this link to see if any of my astute readers have an opinion on the matter.

Given today's environmental concerns and debates, one must hold back from typing "history repeats"...oops! It broke through anyway.

CIA, KKK, and an astro-peek at the CIA natal chart

As I write, today, October 11th, 2010, Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Perez Esquivel of Argentina called on President Obama to revise U.S. (imperialist) policies toward Latin America. He questioned why the U.S. continues to plant its military bases across the region.

That’s an excellent question. If the U.S. is a peace-loving nation, why does it need 800 bases the world over in addition to 1,000 on its own soil? Americans might recoil in disgust if they knew of the CIA’s numerous assassinations of the elected officials of other nations. CIA spies have conducted their criminal operations masquerading as officials of U.S. aid programs, business executives, or journalists. And here are the official FAQs and answers about the CIA directly from the horse's severed head as we might be forgiven for saying. Note that the CIA works for the president according to "applicable law"!! Given all the heads of state the agency has installed, deposed, and/or assassinated through the decades and the people 'renditioned' into torture chambers, the US must have many laws allowing such actions which its citizens know nothing about (Patriot Act notwithstanding.)

The US Central Intelligence Agency's Wiki bio gives its original founding as: President Harry Truman's signing of the National Security Act on July 26, 1947 aboard what was the first presidential aircraft, the Sacred Cow. Does this make the CIA and our armed forces America's Sacred Cows? Their out-of-bounds secret budgets would seem to indicate so as they 'run the show' and set the tenor for our terror-exporting imperial plutocracy.

Now I don't know just where Truman's Sacred Cow was parked during the signing ceremony so I'm using 'Washington DC' as a location for a speculative horoscope of the birth of the CIA since I assume that Langley, VA was set up as its headquarters at some later point in time and that the signing did not occur there.

Click chart to enlarge and hopefully you can read my scribbles; the formation of the CIA occurred under the cruel auspices of a Great Conjunction of Saturn and Pluto, and both are planets of control and were opposing one another upon the US natal ASC/DESC axis on 9/11/01. Highlighted in blue upon the chart you see Michael Munkasey's analysis of the Saturn/Pluto combo: use of secret police (and military agencies); upsets in existing checks and balances.

That sums up The Agency rather well, I think. As listed top right, US natal Neptune 22Vir25 (veils and deceptions) had three midpoints upon it on July 26, 1947: Saturn/Chiron ('letting go the rule of the father' - make that 'founding fathers'), Moon/Venus ('minority groups and how a country helps preserve their heritage and culture' - or not), and the oppressive, disenfranchising duo of plutocracy, Pluto/Chiron.



The explosive pair of revolution, Uranus and Pluto, are both out-of-bounds and working on their own outside the realm of the other planetary functions. South Node = '1Sag': "A Grand Army of the Republic Campfire" in the Sabian Symbols; the Mars/Uranus midpoint 21Gem03 conjoins US natal Mars (god of war); US natal Saturn 14Lib48 is rising at noon and secretive, deceptive, fraudulent Neptune 8Lib23 has just arisen as well.

This gives a Saturn/Neptune vibe to the noon ASC so here we see the 'secret' or 'invisible' (Neptune) government (Saturn)' indication mentioned in the article linked above.

CIA's Jupiter/Pluto midpoint (which is not dependent on an exact birth time) sits atop the US natal chart (Sibly; Mc 00Lib43)...Jupiter/Pluto = 'growth of security or spy agencies; self-destructive forces which stem from official corruption; greater powers for religious leaders; extreme depletion of resources; criminal elements with great social influence; destruction of legal documents; pacts with foreigners on the use of force or weapons' (Munkasey) - all of which seem to me to apply to the CIA's operations.

1947 Jupiter/Pluto = US n MC: ambition and industriousness; advancement and promotion; great luck; the desire to succeed as manager; rising above petty ideas and inclinations; respect from others for great accomplishments in society. (Ebertin; Munkasey.)

There is also a 'hidden square' (256 degrees) between Uranus and Neptune, the Illumination/Illuminati planets which relates to the all-seeing eye that has turned out to be all about complete surveillance of the American people and everyone else, too. (I think I feel a surveillance satellite passing over my head as I type.)

So here's what I wrote about the 'hidden square' in the US natal chart in a post concerning the use of a Scorpio Ascendant for America as a 'spy agency' or 'spying activities' natal chart. Yes, the Uranus/Neptune 'hidden square' applies to America's 1776 horoscope no matter which ASC (birth time) is used for July 4, 1776.

And as you know, among other things, the sign of Scorpio is about spying, secrets, manipulation, and betrayal, with strong-arming, clandestine, cloaks of invisibility, extreme force, and weaponry Mars/Pluto vibes. So let's close with the difficult Mars/Pluto and Mars/Saturn midpoints at Mc (The Goal) of (this version of) the CIA's natal chart...for even if noon was not the actual hour of Truman's signing of the bill, these midpoints did cross the Midheaven that day all the same...

Mars/Saturn = Mc: the power of resistance; endurance; the necessity to overcome many difficulties; silent pride; mourning and bereavement.

Mars/Pluto = Mc: dealing with might on either side of any issue; major job maneuver; confidence and ambition; danger through the intervention of a higher power; operations ('ops'); unusual capabilities for advancement in life; learning how to gain control of and use powerful or extreme measures for increasing your standing or stature; principles that propel you to success; fulfilling certain ambitions by attaining influence.

The year of Uranus/Neptune is 1993, the telling degree is '18 Capricorn' with its Sabian Symbol "The Union Jack" (Flies from a British Warship) = SUPERVISION in the Jones version of the symbols; in Dane Rudhyar's An Astrological Mandala, it's POLITICAL POWER. Jones' negative expression of this degree (to which I always add: 'unconscious/shadow side') is smug or strong-armed paternalism which, I believe, is what the imperialistic model of the US, the UK, and the Roman Empire (now the Vatican) are all about.
