One point made by Mr. Frank is that the successful fundraising of Bernie Sanders during Campaign 2016 proves that the Democratic Party doesn't have to be rotten with corporatism (my wording, not his) in order to win elections.

Of course, then Democrats would be beholden to We the People and expected to act on our behalf which is not part of the Global Government script that Washington follows though you may not hear such sentiments in the following interview! jc

Did US leaders and candidates get Orlando wrong?

Our hearts go out to victims, their families and friends in Orlando. And as Steve Benen of MSNBC notes, President Obama and 2016 candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have each made statements and remarks concerning the tragedy this weekend in Orlando, Florida.

Occurring quite close to July's political conventions and not so long before November Election Day 2016, Americans might get the idea that their emotions are being swayed toward voting in a certain direction. It's been done before and the accusation of 'false flag op' will surely turn up at some point if if hasn't already.

And yet for this American 'child of the Revolution', Obama, Clinton, and Trump have touted off-kilter lessons from the violence in Orlando so I'm posting here the lesson that all acts of terror have demonstrated to me--especially since the 1 North 'King of Terror Solar Eclipse' of August 11, 1999 which repeats as The Great American Eclipse in August 2017 due to the 18.6-year cycle of solar eclipses. The tango sparked by this manifestation of 1 North will naturally appear on the next president's dance card.

So here is the lesson I take from acts of terror against Americans--that while Washington and the Pentagon commit violence across the globe in their role as military arm of the corporate criminal banking syndicate enforcing a 'new world order' for the sake of Global Government, the American people are, and will continue to be, caught in the cross hairs of retaliation as we suffer blow back from the paternalistic strong-arming being done in our names.

Now you may suggest that there is more to it than this and of course you are correct. But without forgiveness, life is just an endless round of vengeance begetting vengeance which is something *the powers that think they be ought to know considering the 'unerring wisdom' they (incorrectly) assume themselves to possess. The tragic thing is, they do know but they only care for their own--and for retaining and expanding control via the ends justify the means tactics in which the rest of us are completely expendable--much as Satan, prince of this world, takes as many down with him as he goes. Thing is, he's already lost the battle so those who follow him follow a loser.

White House June 9, 2016: Bernie meets Barry meets Harry

Bernie's White House Meeting with Mercury Opposing Mars Rx

Contacts between Mercury and Mars often have political implications and their opposition tomorrow, the day that Bernie Sanders meets with the President and Harry Reid at the White House, suggests differing opinions.

However, a curious double transit is in force for 2016 candidate Bernie Sanders whose accurate birth time has not been verified, last I heard. But even without an exact time, a quick peek at the White House meeting transits for June 9, 2016 confirm that for Senator Sanders, the day involves both a Sun to Jupiter and Jupiter to Sun double transit--Sun being ego and life purpose, and Jupiter playing many roles but here we'll don the Great Beneficent's political hat since it resonates with our current topic.

Expanded ego is one of the potentials for Sun-Jupiter contacts, as you know, but there are other implications in the situation the senator and the Democratic Party find themselves in at the moment with Hillary Clinton as the party's presidential nominee in spite of Bernie's mass appeal and his higher score when pitted against Mr. Trump--he has better favorables than Hillary.

Other transits are involved, of course, but Sun with Jupiter is a pretty big deal especially since it's quite rare that such a double transit occurs at all. Now his Virgo Sun and Virgo Jupiter are quite humble or at least they give a good rendition of it--and Jupiter is seldom humble. Even so, let's consider their White House meeting tomorrow, June 8th, as a Sun-Jupiter affair.

Sun to natal Jupiter (19Gemini) denotes a day or two of optimism and generosity during which positive outcomes may be expected even though difficulties may exist. Confidence is high and dramatic words and gestures may be in the picture. A judicial topic may be on the menu and President Obama and Minority Leader Harry Reid may offer the senator something he craves such as a top speaking spot at DNC 2016 in July. Considering that the Democratic Party won't want to alienate the millions of Sanders supporters, it's the least they can offer. Platform input is a potential goodie as well which falls under the 'Hillary shoved to the left' category, thanks to the Bernie Sanders campaign.

Yet like the hope of the American people on Inauguration Day 2009 for real change, anything corporate Democrats are likely to say or promise may be only fluff when actual governing occurs. After all, the public's Inauguration 2009 Moon @29Sco45 hinted at political duplicity by the ruling class via its revealing Sabian Symbol: "A Halloween Jester." (I blogged this trickery at ya then but ya weren't listening with both Jupiter and Neptune to US natal Moon!)

Naturally the longer lasting transit for Senator Sanders is the Jupiter to natal Sun which has been in effect for a while with Jupiter Rx, then Direct, and it marks a period when something--a project or endeavor--reaches culmination that was begun about 12 years ago and now must be either moved forward or discontinued. The issue is motivated by a need for ego satisfaction and we can safely acknowledge that everyone has an ego, even politicians who tend to become carried away with their own self importance on a daily basis. After all, their very careers depend upon large numbers of people voting for them in what is basically a constant supply of ego-puffing approval and applause which are put at their disposal (or, if cheaters, the illusion suffices) along with lucrative pocket-lining for those who partake.

Is Bernie Sanders puffed up or authentic? Perhaps unconsciously puffed at most! And full of strong convictions, one of which is that America belongs to We the People, not the billionaires.

Now since generosity is part of his current Sun-Jupiter circumstances, my hope is that the senator will make a promise or two of his own. Perhaps he will agree to support down-ticket Democrats in their races by contributing money from his campaign chest, something he has previously neglected to do. Failing that, perhaps he'll act like the crusty codger some pundits are painting him to be and continue fighting on for the presidency ('tilting at windmills', as they say). Yet it's good to have a spare in case the Clinton 'mystique' wears thin by November (and please don't offer Bilderberger-CFR guy, Joe Biden!) Bernie's DC Rally on June 14th should be interesting.

So will Thursday's White House meeting persuade Bernie to join The Team in an attempt to keep a Trump fiasco from befalling our country in November?

Well, with transit Jupiter in Virgo conjoining his natal Sun, ego inflation isn't actually necessary for it's time that Senator Sanders receive the honor and recognition due him without having to make demands (though he won't want to let down his followers by quitting too soon.) However, I hope his followers realize that it's growing late--and it's all about timing. And We the Voters must accept flawed nominee Hillary Clinton over the gaping maw that awaits us if we allow the Mars-rising, kingly Mr. Trump to perpetrate his version of a circus barking, snake oil selling presidency.

Because things really are that bad.

Hoover Inauguration 1929 and "the idealism of America"

Jupiterian America: Idealism, Vision, Prosperity, Progress--and Expansion

Here's a bit of cherry-picking from the Inauguration Address of Herbert Hoover on March 4, 1929, president number 31, with brief astro-notes to follow. "No desire for territorial expansion"? The "extinction of force"? Any hypocrisy and propaganda are left intact and in his full address (linked, below) the 18th Amendment (Prohibition) makes a cameo appearance:

"The United States fully accepts the profound truth that our own progress, prosperity, and peace are interlocked with the progress, prosperity, and peace of all humanity. The whole world is at peace. The dangers to a continuation of this peace to-day are largely the fear and suspicion which still haunt the world. No suspicion or fear can be rightly directed toward our country.

Those who have a true understanding of America know that we have no desire for territorial expansion, for economic or other domination of other peoples. Such purposes are repugnant to our ideals of human freedom. Our form of government is ill adapted to the responsibilities which inevitably follow permanent limitation of the independence of other peoples. Superficial observers seem to find no destiny for our abounding increase in population, in wealth and power except that of imperialism. They fail to see that the American people are engrossed in the building for themselves of a new economic system, a new social system, a new political system all of which are characterized by aspirations of freedom of opportunity and thereby are the negation of imperialism. They fail to realize that because of our abounding prosperity our youth are pressing more and more into our institutions of learning; that our people are seeking a larger vision through art, literature, science, and travel; that they are moving toward stronger moral and spiritual life—that from these things our sympathies are broadening beyond the bounds of our Nation and race toward their true expression in a real brotherhood of man. They fail to see that the idealism of America will lead it to no narrow or selfish channel, but inspire it to do its full share as a nation toward the advancement of civilization. It will do that not by mere declaration but by taking a practical part in supporting all useful international undertakings. We not only desire peace with the world, but to see peace maintained throughout the world. We wish to advance the reign of justice and reason toward the extinction of force."

Update 7.12.17: to me, Herbert Hoover's above remarks read like cynical persuasion using certain code words for the savvy. But unlike Trump, Hoover's communication with the public is here and elsewhere formed into complete sentences. Mr. Trump eschews such a formality and he employs constant diversionary tactics while preferring to work, as I've heard, from within states of chaos which puts most other people at a disadvantage and gives Donald Trump an 'edge' in any game, or so he imagines. His behavior patterns may be wide but are trackable and there's that large amount of unconscious material constantly seeping---nay, leaking--up from within the recesses of his Sneaky Mind (Mercury square Neptune, Alan Oken).#

It was with Franklin Roosevelt's second inauguration that the inaugural date was switched from early March (1933) to January 20, 1937 which turned our presidential Sun from 13Pisces to 00Aquarius and Inauguration Ascendant (the Oath of Office) from early Cancer to 13/14Taurus. But those weren't the only astrological changes in our presidential horoscopes, of course, and a closer study of the two charts (the 'as if' March 4, 1937 vs the actual January 20, 1937) yields interesting differences. Add FDR's first Inauguration Horoscope set for March 4, 1933 for additional comparison. Allegedly, early March weather in Washington DC was a motive for the rescheduling of this important date but having resided a few Januarys in our capital city I've never felt wintry January is much better than springlike March, temperature-wise at least.

As for newbie President Herbert Hoover, coming into office after a period of prosperity during the Roaring Twenties, a rainy March 4th must have seemed fine enough with number 30, Calvin Coolidge, by his side to welcome him into the presidential fold, soaked as he was by ceremony's end. Hoover took the Oath of Office on a family Bible turned to Proverbs 29:18...Where there is no vision the people perish... yet America's drive for imperialism lurked behind his words of peace.

As it turned out, 1929 was a year of fanatical changes, disruptive events, and criminality under the influence of a violent Uranus-Pluto square yet Hoover's inauguration took place under the auspices of a 2 South Solar Eclipse (his presidency's Pre-Natal Eclipse Nov 12, 1928 @19Scorpio46, a difficult degree in the sign of investment--and within 6 days of the 1928 Election ; 2S next occurs @15Cap in 2019). The theme of 2 South: involvement in unusual groups and a feeling that a great deal may be gained through them (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology).

Years of social upheaval awaited populations across the globe, and in America transiting Neptune slowly floated toward its US natal degree (July 4, 1776, 22Virgo) where it dissolved (Neptune) employment opportunities (Virgo) for the masses (Neptune), a negative social condition dealt with in the 1930s by number 33, Franklin Roosevelt, and his 'New Deal' programs.

Later, Saturn entered its own sign of Capricorn and harshly squared Uranus which describes austere economical cutbacks and reversals as past ties were broken. Transformer Pluto continued its creep through Cancer, sign of home, family, traditional values, patriotism/nationalism, and of shrewd business activity. Fantasy-loving Neptune on the last (critical 29th) degree of dramatic Leo in the horoscope, below, shows the dregs at the bottom of Jazz Age gin and whiskey bottles while entertainers such as Josephine Baker continued dazzling French audiences.

Well, that's all I'll type for now yet curiously enough, years ago I posted Hoover's Inauguration 1929 chart with brief notes (sans edits) on my Jude's Threshold site if you'd care to take a look. Enlarge the above chart for more details on the Inauguration and subsequent presidency of Herbert Hoover with the degree of BANKRUPTCY rising in tandem with warrior Mars and a depressive if ambitious pairing of Moon and Saturn as the Kite's tail which hints at success for ruling class but disadvantages and loss (Saturn) for We the People (Moon).

Perhaps the bankruptcy of our nation and people was the success the central banking cartel was aiming for.

June 4/5 2016: Gemini New Moon culminates at Summer Solstice 2016

Since we've already considered the Washington DC horoscope for Summer Solstice 2016 (with a Full Moon occurring at 7:02 am edt) let's look at the prior New Moon (Syzygy Moon) which perfects in the Eastern Time Zone on June 4, 2016 at 10:59:32 pm (edt) at 14 Gemini 53 (June 5th abroad).

Obviously the June New Moon gains significance due to its link to Summer Solstice and for people or institutions with mid-degrees of Mutable signs in their charts (Gemini-Sagittarius; Virgo-Pisces), projects, events, and relationships may be affected or influenced by the New Moon, particularly by conjunction or opposition.

My primary interest in this particular New Moon involves its Sabian Symbol, a word picture that provides additional information beyond the lunation's aspects to planets, angles, and such. Actually, I want to consider the 'karmic degree' (here, 14 Gemini) prior to the rounded-up degree (which would be 15 Gemini) and that degree's Illumination Point which is the opposite degree. Both the Marc Edmund Jones and the Dane Rudhyar versions of the symbols will be included. And obviously, a New Moon is the beginning of a new cycle of activity and suggests a time of planning or 'seeding' which will be fulfilled at the next Full Moon.

Naturally, we keep in mind that Airy Gemini is a mental sign of The Mind, the senses, messages, news and other forms of communication, disseminating information, trading and other forms of deal-making, negotiation, childhood, siblings, trickery, magic, dualism, and other Mercurial realms. Since you're here on SO'W, you may wish to relate this info to the tiresomely ongoing election process and our 2016 candidates.

To me the lunations of June 2016 spotlight bids for achievement that may involve such methods as occultism, telepathy, spiritual ancestry, innuendo, underhanded means, and ridiculous efforts by some who symbolically boast their tootsie sizes to be as large as those of America's spiritual ancestors--our Founders. Will such boasts be believed?

And in Stars Over Washington tradition, the horoscope of Summer Solstice 2016 has been set for Washington DC, if you're curious. There is some discordancy here, however, for the Solstice's post title concerns endings and partings which may not jive well with entering the Gate of Birth.

Then there is our 1776 Mars-Uranus midpoint of revolution and potential violence which will be conjoined by the June 4th New Moon (14Gem53) hinting that a new cycle of freedom-fighting and/or plans for unusual achievement may be seeded during the dark of this New Moon with proof revealed around Summer Solstice 2016, either positively, negatively, or, a realistic mixture of both as the Solstice Full Moon provides the light of revelation.

For an astrologer it's easy to expect great courage from a man with Mars rising in Leo, conjunct royal star Regulus--a man such as Donald Trump. But the shadow side of this configuration is not as brave as it first appears though political "strategery" may be behind Trump's flip flopping on whether to debate Bernie Sanders or not. Or perhaps it's simply Senator Sanders' Virgoan command of facts and details that caused the changeable Geminian, Mr. Trump (who prefers to skim surfaces), to retract this particular boast:
