In a Flurry of Full Disclosure: The following horoscope was recently published to my Stars Over Washington Patreon account and, for the sake of America, appears here with the author's permission (yours truly!); fresh notes on Moon-Pluto are added, below.

August 1, 2020: With a desperate incumbent crouching in the White House and a 'peaceful' passing of presidential baton on our national horizon many pundits and prognosticators are wondering aloud not if but when and what sort of October Surprise may be in store for US voters through the malevolent auspices of Trump, his monied backers both foreign and domestic, and his complicit Trump Party. However, many folks might say that the entire year of 2020 behaves as one huge October Surprise if disrupting the November Election/s, upending society as a whole, discrediting democracy around the world, undermining US systems, institutions, and laws, 'purifying' and reducing the populace, and keeping the scofflaw orange despot in the Oval Office are their primary goals. Apparently, hidden manipulators (ex: Plutonian Plutocrats) want We The People reduced to a more manageable size with politicians like mouthpiece Trump acting as figureheads of their authoritarian agenda.

Question: To Surprise or Not To Surprise?

Now as you know, Astrology provides several techniques to aid such a forecast of Uranian surprise, even shock, yet today let's choose only one timing device - the Secondary Progressed Moon of the USA ('SP'). Using America's founding horoscope for July 4, 1776 5:09 pm LMT Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and progressing it a day-for-a-year, we discover that our nation's natal Moon in Aquarius soon progresses to 29Cap20 where Luna will conjunct US SP Pluto at that exact degree and minute on October 15, 2020 8:00 am edt. Below is the DC Horoscope of this cosmic moment - the intensity of which is building now - including notes concerning various components in relation to Politics and to other realms of concern. Added are the 'real world' transits and midpoint potentials for this symbolic moment which perfects only 19 days prior to Election Day 2020:

Does this sound to you like a Biden administration (being planned) vs the Trump 'administration'?

Potentials for Moon-Pluto working as a duo: any, all, or none may express

From Tyl and Ebertin: Zeal; intensity; fanaticism; extreme emotions; exaggerated new plans; obtaining objectives without any regard for other people; offended vanity or conceit; jealousy; violent outbursts; inner shocks or emotional upheavals; rash actions. Biological: metabolism of liquids; blood disease; pressure caused by toxemia; the endocrine system; cancer indications.

Now quoting in Hegelian form from Munkasey's Midpoints: Unleashing the Power of the Planets:

Sleuthing through a few past horoscopes for significant planets @29/30 Capricorn I found these potentials:

October 2020 Moon-Pluto 29Cap20 = Election Day 2016 Mars (29Cap51): 'using force to achieve changes in corrupt practices; active in assuring the promised protection is delivered; participants in clamor or emotional intensity; intense emotional crisis; deep irritation over delays in any form; anger, quarrels, frustration; too much energy not knowing where to go'.

October 2020 Moon-Pluto = Spring Equinox 2020 Saturn (29:50): 'pressure to regroup forces and plan anew; avoiding the need to look at what must change; realism about how to deal with gloomy or morbid thoughts; authority figures who have a profound effect; constraint; feelings of loss; depression; mental or emotional suffering; one-sided or overwhelming emotions; grave inhibitions'.

Additionally, we should note that Moon-Pluto contacts may suggest intuition or psychism, secrets and/or scandals, plus, the possible discovery of a child born out of wedlock, or perhaps a secret marriage in someone's past that becomes public knowledge.

Trump's Summer 2020: Mercury Rinse and Repeat

Mercury: the Trader, Traitor, Salesman, and Trickster Awaiting at the Crossroads

When it comes to transactional planet Mercury in the natal horoscope of Donald Trump, a few first things to know include its sign: Moon-ruled Cancer, and house: 11th of Groups, Associations, Hopes and Wishes. (Perhaps a review of Trump's natal Mercury is in order. It's pretty skanky so beware.) The next consideration is any aspects made to or from Mercury, what I call the 'tofu planet' because astrologically speaking, Mercury absorbs flavors or vibes of any planet it contacts. Versatile, adaptable, and changeable!

Now in Trump's case, this is his problematic Mercury-Neptune square from 11th to 2nd house. From this we find that Trump's yearly Mercury Returns repeat and emphasize the square to natal Neptune each year which denotes a period when errors, woolgathering, indiscretion, and deception come forward and the mind can play tricks (self-delusion) while fantasies take over his thoughts, communications, and plans. Needless to say, his usual tendencies toward these, plus, his misperceptions, exaggerations (boasting), and sneaky schemes will be spotlighted in June and July although I'd have a difficult time telling you when they aren't on distressing display, much to the disappointment of a majority of the American people (and the rest of the world).

Another consideration of his Mercury is which planets and houses (departments of life) Mercury disposits or rules in his radix chart. This would be his 2nd hou$e (cusp 22Vir57 conjunct US natal Neptune which squares our natal Mars) and his 11th house (cusp 29Gem18, a critical-crisis 29th degree - where transit North Node now points as it enters his 10th house of Career and Public Status). So we see that Mercury Returns for Trump always affect his 2nd and 11th houses in particular. (We also see that the speculator-fraudster pair, bubbly Jupiter and Neptune, are posited in his 2nd hou$e with his wounded/wounding Chiron snugged between them but that's beyond the scope of this Mercurial post.)

So now the question is: does Mercury rule any of Trump's natal planets?

Why yes, glad you asked! For as you know, Trump's Sun (adult personality; essence) is in Gemini, sign of the eternal child, as are his guiding planet Uranus, and North Node. As you know, his 10th house trio is always on display for the whole world to see and links him to radical reforms and political activity. Erratic Uranus, planet of chaos, shock, and disruption, is his 'guiding planet' because it is last to rise before his Sun, as we've discussed in prior posts. And of course, Gemini and technology planet Uranus relate to his constant use of Twitter to send his messages directly to a wider public (10th house)- but with plenty of misinformation, fibs, exaggerations, insults, and propaganda therein (duplicitous Gemini, ruled by trickster Mercury!).

Now with this particular Mercury Return 2020, Trump is experiencing an extended Mercurial period due to transit Mercury's retrogradation ('Rx'). Exact dates that Mercury returns to 8Can51 are June 5th (already occurred a few hours prior to the Lunar Eclipse @15Sag34), July 2 (Rx), and July 20th which brings him a transit Mars-square-natal Mercury contact that suggests potentials for frustration, anger, quarrels (especially with males), aggression, giving or receiving incorrect information or directions, and obstacles that may be encountered during travel including bad weather. On July 20th, Return Mercury is in Return 6th house and the possibility of faulty wiring could turn up which can relate to equipment or to the brain (I'm not wishing just reporting!), plus, abundant energy will be available so that ideas can be put into action, or new work methods or techniques may be implemented. Obviously, 6th house matters are spotlighted and on his mind including health, daily rounds, military, police, and/or civil service.

So to summarize what I'm subtly suggesting here, 'Mercury at the Crossroads' - the Return period which is more or less a 'new start' for Mercury The Fool - could have been sparked by Trump's recent disappointing, ego-deflating rally turnout in Tulsa, OK, with the idea that perhaps the time has arrived for his Mercurial mind take a look at itself and think about upping its game of persuasion and strategy. Maybe find new topics for his speeches because his old ones are mighty stale - and the November 2020 Election approaches stealthily on cat's paws. Not that he's self-reflective enough to do this but it is time. No, I'm not counting the coronavirus in this post nor am I focused on other planetary considerations - even his emotional, unconsciously driven Moon-SN is left out today. The only star of this post is his little Mercury, planet of speeches and voters, thought patterns, tweets, transactions, cheating, theft, and falsehoods.

So if by chance a turning point in Trump's behavior or in his campaign for 're-election' has been reached, it may be Trump's Mercury we'll have to thank. Or, more than likely given his record, to blame.

The Path of Mercury - June and July 2020: the little guy turned Retrograde @14Can45 on June 18th; on July 12th Mercury turns Direct @5Can29 (conjunct US natal Jupiter), then reaches and passes his Shadow Degree of 14Can45 on July 26, 2020.

First US Presidential Election vs Election 2020

May 28, 2020: So if you've read details concerning the First US Presidential Election held from December 15, 1788 to January 10, 1789 you know that the 69 electors voted unanimously for popular candidate George Washington. And if you keep up with current US political elections and the rigging, cheating, and gerrymandering activities perpetrated by one political party in particular, you would be pardoned for suspecting that Election 2020 may be America's last.

Stolen and stacked courts are a primary feature not a bug of the GOP master plan to permanently redden America despite the Will of the People, a democratic concept Republicans have never particularly favored, not within my memory anyway. Along with Trump's fake Twitter fuss about being fact-checked, such voting travesties, perversions of law, and dirty political tricks are discussed in Brad Friedman's May 27, 2020 BradCast in his interview with David Daley author of Ratf**ked: the True Story Behind the Secret Plan to Steal America's Democracy (and Why Your Vote Doesn't Count) and Unrigged: How Americans Battled Back to Save America. This truly is a don't-miss podcast.

Of course, between the outrageous antics and distractions by con man Trump and the debilitating Covid pandemic now virtually paralyzing the country, Republicans are counting on the American electorate to neglect such basic considerations as a permanent shift from democratic Republic to authoritarian state stretching into the foreseeable future and engineered by bad actors both foreign and domestic. Yes, things are worse than most people think but there's still a chance to right our Ship of State if enough of us pay attention and act to save America!

Horoscope: Prenatal Solar Eclipse @7Sag15 of the First US Presidential Election: Moral and Ethical Concepts and Philosophy of Sagittarius Lead to Karmic Progress

Now as you see, my study notes are penned, below, upon the Horoscope of the Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') of America's first-ever presidential election which also happens to be the PE of George Washington's Inauguration of April 30, 1789 (horoscope shown on my WordPress blog, Jude's Threshold) and fortunately Jupiter was moving direct by then. This passionate 7 North Solar Eclipse remains of influence - is cosmically imprinted upon - all our quadrennial presidential elections including that of November 3, 2020 no matter who has been or will be in power at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue as long as our now-sabotaged America exists and obviously America is in desperate need of a return to moral and ethical concepts and philosophies:

December 2020 Solar Eclipse a wild card for Trump

May 13, 2020: As you know, any solar or lunar eclipse may act as a 'wild card' or 'cosmic blink' that disrupts events, lives, and/or circumstances much as quirky planet Uranus can do, and karmic changes of direction are typical results. Uncovering secrets, inconvenient facts, and/or scandals may also occur around the time of an eclipse - or earlier, later, or never - also much as Uranus can do. Of course, eclipse effects depend on where in one's horoscope an eclipse falls with outcomes usually manifesting within the house (department of life) along with any aspects made by an eclipse to our natal placements.

So checking cosmic happenings for December 2020, we find that Trump's natal (Total) Lunar Eclipse @23Sag04 will be 'eclipsed' (conjoined) by the 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 which suggests, among other things, the potential for some sort of culmination or completion--probably in his relationships (Sun-Moon). Synchronistically, we should also note that the 4 South Eclipse in December will 'eclipse' his Inauguration 2017's Saturn, planet of responsibility, accountability, reliability, integrity, and realism - and his natal Moon and South Node.

That's a boat load of karma coming for Donald Trump but let's not gloat just yet. Things could turn out peachy for him given all the foreign and domestic aid he receives, plus, where Trump goes so goes America. Because We The People are players in this cosmic card game, too. And although karmic progress is always a possibility around eclipse time, positive traits of the eclipse sign must be the objectives to express. In the case of Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius, the primary themes are truth seeking and upholding moral and ethical principles. Well, we know this doesn't pertain to con man Trump (who may still be around in December 2020!) so let's add here the negative possibilities for a solar eclipse in Sagittarius which will relate to society in general along with Trump, his Republican enablers, donors, comrades, and supporters:

Negative Connotations of a Sagittarius Solar Eclipse: moral principles may be incorrect which results in misplaced idealism or misguided beliefs so that karmic endeavors are ineffective and can magnify problems rather than solve them. Indulging in exaggeration misses the mark or falls short of objectives while false optimism causes karmic conditions to be underestimated and thus ineffectively or wrongly dealt with, neglected, or ignored. Therefore, true progress will be lacking, illusory, or temporary at best.

And as we know, for Donald Trump appearances are everything.

So if you enlarge the image and read my scribbled notes, here's the 4 South Solar Eclipse Horoscope of December 14, 2020 set for Washington DC and snugged around the Inauguration 2017 Horoscope which shows the eclipse of 2017 Saturn in the financial 8th house and 2020 Mars conjunct 2017 Uranus (nontraditional or radical methods and/or danger of explosion in the 12th house of Politics, Large Institutions, Behind-the-Scenes, and Karma--yet another Trump hissy fit?):

Adding 2017 Saturn to December's 4 South eclipse energies, on a negative level we find people such as free loaders, deadbeats, and those who prefer to shirk responsibility while casting blame on others. Meanwhile, their hard-to-break personal habits interfere with what could be karmic progress along with a failure to take problems and obligations seriously. Related is the fact that Trump was born with a Moon-Saturn inconjunct showing an undercurrent of guilt and nit-pickiness in his emotional reactions to others (exs: reporters! Democrats like Schiff, Schumer, Pelosi!) as he continually projects blame upon anyone but himself for deeply emotional and neurotic reasons. And as we've learned in excruciating detail, his is a personality completely unsuitable for the Office of President of the United States of America.

So tell me: what cosmic card do you think Trump will draw in December 2020?

August 17, 2020 DNC with Syzygy Moon in Aquarius

DNC 2020 Changes Its Cosmic Tune

As you know, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Democratic National Convention (DNC) has been postponed until August 17, 2020, still to be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, last I heard. Obviously, the change makes my previous post Moon-Tracking DNC 2020 and RNC 2020 obsolete on the Democratic side. However, the RNC (August 24) horoscope and astro-notes hold true unless Republicans change their convention schedule, too.

As it stands for now: RNC August 24, 2020: Sun and Mercury in Virgo, Moon in Scorpio; Sun Virgo-Moon Scorpio contains vibes of fanaticism, a fighting spirit, and a need to always 'get it right'.

The rescheduling of DNC 2020 to August 17 gives the Democratic Party a Leo Sun and Moon (once Luna leaves 29Cancer59 at 12:39 am CDT--and as you know, '30Cancer' is the "A Daughter of the American Revolution" degree.) Voting/nominating planet Mercury is also in shiny Leo and is no longer Stationing Direct as it was on July 13th, the original date for DNC 2020.

Now the last lunation prior to the opening of DNC 2020 on August 17th (aka, the convention's Syzygy Moon) is the Full Moon of August 3, 2020 @11AQ46. This Moon adds humanitarian vibes to the DNC 2020 picture and if the American people don't need more of that quality then I don't know what we need! Besides, Aquarius is our US natal Moon sign of We The People.

And yes, our Trump nightmare will linger long after he's gone (like a very very bad hangover) so I'm going to go ahead and type it: on November 3, 2020 - if we have an election at all - #VoteBlue no matter how you do!

February 19, 2020 Democrats Debate in Las Vegas

For the cable-TV challenged, here's a link to the MSNBC Live Stream of tonight's Democratic Primary Debate at 9:00 pm (est) in Las Vegas, Nevada. As you've heard, candidate Michael Bloomberg has qualified (purchased) to be on the stage tonight so it should be quite a slug-fest--between Democrats.

And here's a view of the natal horoscope of Michael Bloomberg RR: AA or check out a previous SO'W post featuring the (hopeful!) link between his and Trump's natal charts with Bloomberg's tough, tenacious Saturn-Uranus Conjunction sitting atop the natal Midheaven of Donald Trump and his natal Mars in stubborn Taurus nearby.

And so, in the realms of Astrology we find that both media-lovers are wealth-driven, ruthless, and vindictive which to me would seem rather an equal match-up in November if Democratic voters will give Bloomberg's past flaws and mistakes a pass. After all, Trump gets many such a passes every single day from his supporters and from the complicit Republicans who helped create the orange monster so why not the less objectionable Mikey B?

But as for tonight's pivotal political performance, we know that Mr. Bloomberg hasn't debated anyone since 2009 during a NYC mayoral race so we'll see how this slug-fest proceeds on this important night for Michael Bloomberg and his 2020 candidacy which, if nominated and victorious, may result in the American people trading one money-laundering oligarch with imperial dreams for another one (who's similar but not in every way). Of course, debates are the province of communicator Mercury now Rx in Pisces and conjoining Bloomberg's natal South Node which suggests temporary potentials for original ideas, expressing ideas that are ahead or behind the times, stolen ideas, and/or, that when he speaks no one listens!

And with the Debate Sun so recently entering the sign of Pisces (February 18 at 11:57 pm est) and tonight's Moon in Saturn-ruled Capricorn, a famous quote from a Founding Father, our first President George Washington (whose natal personality blend this is!) seems appropriate:

"Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for 'tis better to be alone than in bad company." Perhaps tonight mention will be made of Trump's tendency to surround himself with fellow criminals, both imprisoned and on the loose--and with sleazy men of low character. Birds of a feather.

As for Mr. Bloomberg's natal Sun AQ-Moon AQ personality blend, here's quote from President William McKinley who was also born under the blend's influence,

"Our differences are politics. Our agreements, principles."

Dec 2020 Solar Eclipse hits Trump Lunar Eclipse 1946

As you know, Donald Trump is an "eclipse baby" because the day he was born, June 14, 1946, a Lunar Eclipse perfected @23Sag04, just a few hours after he was born. This degree is near Trump's natal Moon position 21Sag12 (which conjoins his natal South Node and we've heard there was an estrangement from Mother on day one which the Lunar Eclipse and his Saturnian South Node confirm--perhaps a health issue for her, and/or for him, or perhaps a difficult birth, one may assume). Be that as it may or may not be, an eclipse child will have an eventful life and Trump certainly has had that.

The following horoscope is set for Washington DC (the Capitol Building actually--my bad but basically the same as the White House--if he still resides there by then!) when a Solar Eclipse in the difficult 4 South Saros Series manifests upon Trump's Lunar Eclipse degree and thereby activates it:

This cosmic event is significant by degree although how so is anyone's guess. To me it denotes that 4 South themes will affect Trump on a personal level and his flaws and foibles in those departments (relationships and finances) will be more starkly cast under a public spotlight and/or there will be some type of closure or culmination in his life possibly in the realms of relationships, partnerships, and/or marriage (Sun to Moon). Plus, inconvenient secrets may be uncovered or leaked to the press.

Yes, scandals and changes of direction are always potentials with 'wild card' eclipses and here one disruptive eclipse is piled upon another creating a cosmic time link between 1946 and 2020 and bringing a boatload of karma his and our way. Of course, finances, resources, budgets, and investments are also suggested by the 4 South Eclipse ('strong emotional feelings about money and/or relationships; obstacles; sudden endings of relationships; a feeling of fate'--Brady). Then when we search for events of 1946 we find that on Trump's day of birth, the Bernard Baruch Plan was proposed to the United Nations. This proposal involved an international organization for the regulation of atomic energy, plus, the UN itself is brought into the 2020 eclipse picture along with post-war America and Germany, and potential threats and disruptions to various other international alliances and networks that Trump works hard to destroy on behalf of his pal Putin. But Trump 2020 + atomic energy?? Not an equation fit for musing upon in my book.

Meanwhile, many things positive and negative can and will happen between now and December 2020. Of course, one scheduled event is the 2020 General Election on November 3rd, hints of which may very well be indicated in the December 2020 eclipse chart, above, whether Trump games the electoral system as in 2016 or not.

Jan 2020: An Eclipse, Cosmic Karma, and Two Stars

August 16, 2019: By now most everyone is tuned in to and/or concerned over the heavy-weight conjunction of karmic planets Saturn and Pluto which perfects on January 12, 2020 @22Cap46 and signals the opening of their new 33-35-year cycle.

Two days prior to their exact conjunction on January 10th a Lunar Eclipse manifests upon the critical degree of 20Cancer00 so the two cosmic events together, we might say, 'light up' the Zodiac in the 20-to-23-degree range of Moon-ruled Cancer (tribalism, nationalism, patriotism, the family, home, nurturance, childhood) and of Saturn-ruled Capricorn, sign of government, law, business, and finance, and imprints certain cosmic frequencies upon the entire year and beyond. In the 2019-to-2020 spotlight is the Cancer-Capricorn security axis and its many concerns.

Naturally, the opposing degrees, aka, Illumination Points (20-to-23 Cancer), are also significant along with their Sabian Symbols and any fixed stars and other celestial features within their sway. A review of the symbols for 20-21-22-23 degrees of Cancer is worth checking into if you're curious for more information and wish to gain a fuller picture of what's in store, a la 2020. (Note that there are no Capricorn stars in those degrees that I know of--do you? But deVore gives '21Cap' as a scholarly degree and '23Cap' as a degree of governmental authority and music.)

So for today's post, let's consider the stars among these degrees in Cancer--the Gemini Twins, Castor and Pollux. Possible expressions of Castor are sudden fame or loss; mental illness; crippling of limbs; murder yet Castor may also signify the intellectual writer. Also, '20 Cancer' is a degree of limitation and hindrance (deVore). For Pollux, potentials are: danger of disgrace; cruelty; rape; murder; danger from women, poisons, or large animals (or loss of protection for endangered species?). Yet Pollux has what can be a more positive side--its influences are good for astrology and for other occult interests which hopefully are non-satanic; Pollux may also signify the emotional writer so both stars are creative in their own ways--one light, the other dark, which suggests a good vs evil motif.

Of course, we as a society have many rows to hoe and mountains to climb before reaching January 2020 and it's impossible to list it all here so below is a List of August 30th through December 26, 2019 Lunations for your consideration and with a few notes added:

And so we enter Year 2020 under the auspices of the December 26, 2019 annular Solar Eclipse in early Saturn-ruled Capricorn which manifests within the difficult 3 South Saros Series of 'sudden endings in relationships' and 'traumatic transformation' via Pluto involvement in its original (initial) 3 South eclipse (August 13, 1208 @27Leo10). And speaking of karma (reaping what's been sown), besides Trump's natal Mars rising at his Ascendant conjunct the initial 3 South eclipse, eclipse Pluto @10Leo15 in 1208 was conjoined on June 14, 1946 by the natal Pluto (10Leo02) of Donald 'Spanky' Trump, our saboteur-in-chief whose economic schemes (exs: tariffs, trade wars, neglect of climate change considerations for farming and other industries, deportation of agricultural and other much-needed workers, fantasy-based diplomacy, the massive GOP tax cut for the wealthy) bode ill for both domestic and global finances and for food supplies especially under the heavy, constraining influences of the karmic January 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction.

Yes, the Saturn-Pluto Conjunction was in Airy Libra last time (November 1982; theories and plans) and this time is in Earthy Capricorn (reality and pragmatism) but we may be thankful that this time it only perfects once so its strength should lessen somewhat as 2020 proceeds and as it awaits activation by various transits and progressions through its 33-35 years' duration.

Yet in August 2019 we already feel the duo's harshness so we know that we have much to deal with initially including the fact that January 12's Saturn-Pluto rendezvous conjuncts Trump's natal Vertex (22Cap51), a point of fated encounters and changing work conditions. Now I too wish karma would meet and beckon to his nibs at the jail house door but let's not crow just yet for unfortunately, as goes POTUS, so goes America--and Trump the Cheat may pull through yet.

Plus, layered atop eclipses and other lunations perking in the background is the distressing 2020 Campaign season and the rigged and vulnerable November Election which compels me to wonder: we already know that he does--but does anyone else who's willing to step into America's POTUS shoes post-Trump need a serious psychological evaluation? Or do they assume that anyone but Trump simply has to be an improvement for America?

Of Racist Manifestos, US Mars Rx, and a Horoscope for the Ku Klux Klan

Around the time of the *end of the Civil War, the Ku Klux Klan or, 'KKK', was founded as a secret society on December 24, 1865 in Pulaski, Tennessee by a group of die-hard Confederate war veterans. Soon becoming a paramilitary force, Klan members were aggrieved over progressive Reconstruction Era policies which elevated the rights of African Americans in the South. In spite of (or because of) the fact that the South lost the war, and with the Klan's platform based on a philosophy of white racial superiority, night time raids of terror, intimidation, and violence were tactics intended to roll back Reconstruction efforts meant to elevate the rights of African Americans and in hopes of influencing upcoming political elections (an objective already being employed prior to Election 2020--there is method in Trump's bigoted, hate-filled rhetoric).

As an extension of previous 'slave patrols', the Klan used similar methods but perpetrated their vigilante deeds outside the law. And tragically in our day, it's debatable whether certain police brotherhoods in the US are secretly infused with Klan members and/or with officers who are sympathetic to the racist cause. From the trigger-happiness of many officers killing non-whites, it's become difficult to distinguish one from the other. Police departments certainly tend to 'protect their own', don't they? And at its base, we may in part wish to pin much of our current troubles on US Mars Rx by progression since 2006--and note that its degree (17Lib37) conjoins the stationary Jupiter of Donald Trump (17:27) and the North Node in the Klan horoscope, below. Plus, US SP Mars Rx opposes US SP Chiron @17Ari42 in SP 8th house of Death and Corporatism, a duo of martial proportions yet our Mars-Chiron 'sacred warrior' archetype is wounded or deceased, and many have returned (Rx) home from war never to be the same again, and with Mars energies turned inward (Rx) upon the populace.

In case you're curious, here's a brief video concerning Nathan Bedford Forrest (b. July 13, 1821 Chapel Hill, TN; d. 1877 Memphis) reputed to have been the first 'grand wizard' of the KKK, a charge he neglected to own up to. Remarks about the man by legendary Southern historian Shelby Foote are included in the 3min-59sec video.

Now first I shall say that as a child of the South (a native Georgian bwo NC, Virginia, and points North) it was a rare and frightening sight to drive by someone's house at night and witness a cross burning in the yard. The Cross!! A sacred symbol in my Baptist family and the burning of it has always hit me as totally wrong. I did not and do not agree with the message cross-burners intended to spread at that time by such an ugly act but I know that I think even less of them now than ever before--if that's even possible. For their use of primal violence against their fellow man puts them at the very bottom of the evolutionary ladder in my book. And they have people like Trump, Bannon, Miller, Pike, and Hitler to keep them company. But then again, I am not of the ends justify the means persuasion nor am I a member of the success-at-any-cost club.

So as you notice in the KKK horoscope, below, Mercury Rx is @29Sag16 with '30Sag' having the "The Pope Blessing the Faithful" Sabian Symbol. Therefore, a peek at who was the Pope in Rome in 1865 seems related somehow to the founding of the Klan and that was Pius XI, secret friend of Mussolini and the man who instituted the doctrine of "papal infallibility." Anti-Enlightenment principles, anti-modernity, Pius IX was no friend of the Jews in Italy, the Austrians, or of free speech and other Western principles. We might say he was something of a bigot or racist although I've never heard him described in those words. Anyway, Pius XI was Pope (1848--1878) when the Klan was formed (1865) and the organization's Mercury, planet of meetings, discussions, and messages, suggests a link with The Pope Who Would Be King, a book by David I. Kertzer who also authored the award-winning The Pope and Mussolini.

All that said, let's take a brief look at the Klan's 12:00 pm chart set for December 24, 1865 Pulaski, Tennessee (although setting the chart for one minute before midnight seems appropriate since shadows, secrets, and disguises with eye-holes are the Klan's 'thing' although they're peeking out into the light of day since 2017 thinking they've become mainstream under sympatico Trump, their friend in the White House); note the planet of primal violence, sneaky Pluto Rx in Taurus, a placement of intolerance and materialism:

Now as a speculative 'noon' chart there's not much to say about houses and cusps and of course the fast-floating Moon could be a few degrees before or after her position here (22Pis58) but curiously, the 22Pisces degree spotlights three feminine asteroids and their goddess archetypes: Astraea (justice), Juno (nation-states; politics; the wife), and Diana (the huntress). In the center of the chart I've penned: white women on a pedestal? Now Luna doesn't quite leave Pisces by midnight so it's a Pisces Moon for the Klan which emphasizes the 6/12 victim-savior axis and the Klan's martyr mentality that is contained within the group's Sun-Neptune square. This square also suggests wearing hoods (Neptune) to protect and shield their true identities (Sun).

Also penned on the chart are links to a few of Trump's natal planets (highlighted in pink; ex: Klan Mars @20Sag conjunct his problematic SN-Moon conjunction), plus, the Klan's Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') @26Lib18 (12 North theme: sudden opportunities to accept greater responsibilities--Brady), rebellious Uranus Rx in Cancer, sign of 'tribalism and nationalism', the Klan's erratic, willful Sun-Uranus opposition (lower left), its uncompromising, know-it-all Mercury-Uranus opposition (lower right), and the most difficult of all--the cruel, dictatorial Saturn-Pluto opposition (upper right). As you know, Saturn-Pluto oppositions were in force: in 1931 during the rise of fascism, and on 9/11/01 conjunct what many astrologers use as America's natal ASC-DESC axis of Self and Other (12Sag-Gem). And curiously, the Klan's Nemesis @23Sco48 conjuncts the natal IC of Donald Trump--so are their enemies his enemies?

Now naturally any and all readers are welcomed to disagree with me on any of these chart factors and my conclusions--dissent away for there's no 'infallibility' to be found here!

Even so, my objective is attained for at least a noon version of the KKK Horoscope is now available for viewing on SO'W for anyone who wishes to keep an eye on it for transits and progressions but hadn't yet calculated the horoscope for themselves.

Of course both positive and negative transits ('tr's; 'n' = natal) and their potential influences will arrive over time for any person or entity but here I'll list three that seem to apply to current or upcoming events or which may affect society and/or the Klan on various levels. All perfect three times each but note that their dates could be off a bit since we're using only a noon natal chart:

1. Tr Uranus opposite n Saturn (@9Sco39 and leader of a ruthless Locomotive shape of planets) = tension, instability, disruption--exact on or about June 25, 2020, October 6, 2020, April 12, 2021.

2. Tr Saturn square n Pluto Rx (@12Tau26) = intense conditions, manipulation only hampers, power and control issues, accountability for past abuses--exact on or about April 16, 2021, June 29 2021, January 5, 2022.

3. Tr Uranus conjunct n Pluto Rx = upheaval, sudden changes and challenges, bumps in the road as the past catches up...a volatile, rebellious combination of energies--on or about June 1, 2021, November 13, 2021, March 22, 2022.

Well, there it is and yes, these indications could affect our nation adversely via white supremacists particularly since there are racists hunkered down in the White House as I type. But as the mysterious 'they' are fond of saying, forewarned is forearmed.

*Actually, besides the April 9, 1865 surrender of Robert E. Lee at Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia, there were multiple surrenders by a variety of Confederate Generals including one by Nathan Bedford Forrest, grand wizard of the KKK, as noted above; surrender was a drawn-out process for President Andrew Johnson didn't officially end the Civil War until August 1866.
