SOTU 2015: Cyber Uranus and Mercury-Jupiter's "political games"

A SOTU 2015 Address, Mercury Stations Rx, and Two More Years

For President Obama's annual State of the Union Address to a Joint Session of Congress, I'm looking at the 9:00 pm est horoscope set for January 20, 2015 Capitol Building Washington. My focus is on planets Mercury, Jupiter, Moon, Sun, Saturn, a few midpoint pictures, and on the ongoing Uranus-Pluto square (social unrest, violence, revolution, Civil Rights, major reforms, old v new) in contact with the undulating Nodal axis of the Moon, a past-future destiny indicator often called the Dragon with the North Node as the head (future direction) and South Node the tail (of past behaviors, the unconscious, and inherited or well developed talents).

(You will, of course, spy other chart factors of note but this post has to end sometime!)

In the 9:00 pm horoscope pictured below, the transiting combo of disruptive Uranus @12Ari57 conjunct South Node is poised upon the cusp of the monied 8th house (Corporations, Transformation, Insurance, Credit, Debt, the Occult, Surveillance, etc) and the 2nd house of the National Treasury is favored by the NN. The president will tout the economic progress of the last 6 years. Yet with astrological Uranus, technological and surveillance matters such as cyber attacks, a Mars influence via Aries are brought to mind (Saturn-Neptune = Uranus). This midpoint picture also applies to President Obama's speech in Iowa on Wednesday January 14 on his plan to "challenge state laws that limit the expansion of high-speed broadband access" in rural areas. (Saturn-Neptune = socio-economically challenged people). Additionally, lightening fast micro trades and the current ups and downs of the NYSE are spotlighted plus the potential for sudden changes of fortune for some.

And on January 15th it was reported that there are major losses and shock at the Swiss National Bank.

Hacker Genius Uranus, God of Technological Progress!

Now tell me...is the White House's progressive techno access plan to facilitate better spying on small town folk whose lack of internet access allows them to 'slip through the net' of the government? Hmm-m-m...please pardon suspicious of the suspicious me!

Meanwhile, perhaps you heard this tech news concerning a lawsuit against large players Google and Apple for colluding against their employees. Has the Saturnian tail of the Dragon swiped a few tech giants and high flying brokers? Astrological Uranus can act early, on time, late, or never, after all and there may be more to come though they'll recover well enough.

If you wish, read a few previous unedited thoughts of a predictive nature concerning the critical-degreed (12 Aries) January 20th Uranus-South Node meeting and SOTU 2015 posted just as the January 20th date was announced. Earlier a pundit or two had even suggested that the Republican-led 114th Congress would fail to send the president the annual invitation to address them as a sign of their usual disrespect, however, Speaker Boehner came through in spite of the desires of certain factions of the party.

As you know, difficult energies of the ongoing Cardinal Square between Uranus and Pluto have been seriously affecting people of every nation and not the least, triggering America's natal chart via our national Saturn in mid-Libra opposed by tr Uranus = old order v new order), tr Pluto opposing US natal Sun (power challenges for the president--and vice versa to some degree), and tr Uranus squaring US natal Sun (others control issues, will power to succeed is tested or challenged). Basically, this cosmic circumstance activates our natal Sun-Saturn square with natal Sun @13Can19 conjunct Egyptian star Sirius, the goddess star of Venus-Isis, aka, the dog star (keywords: the mundane becomes sacred; the scorcher).

So with progressive futurist Uranus conjoining tr SN (a Saturnian point of separation), tr NN @12Lib48 is precisely 2 degrees past conjunction with US natal Saturn (14Lib48) which gives the above indicator of Uranus opposite US natal Saturn a 'contact with the masses' flavor and a sense of fatedness attached, thanks to both the Nodal axis and karmic Saturn. On the level of the Collective Unconscious, this sense of fatedness comes in part from decades of propaganda by politicians, authors, film makers, financiers, and the complicit media touting a 'new world order' and 'global government' said to be inevitable. Perhaps so, yet the Uranus-SN--US-Saturn trio is merely a signpost along the way to their Utopian goal, not its destination--though the sign may be painted in ALL CAPs when worrywarts like yours truly read it.

Now let's have a brief look at basic factors in the SOTU 2015 horoscope with emphasis on the chart-ruler's applying Ptolemaic aspects, if any, for clues on how the president's address, proposals, and announcements ('shocking' as they may be!) will proceed:

Hour of the Sun (goals); a new cycle of activity has begun with the New (Syzygy) Moon @00AQ08 which perfects on January 20th at 8:14 am est and conjoins not only the US Inaugural Sun (POTUS) (suggesting a culmination of some sort)--but means that SOTU 2015 will be delivered on Inauguration 2009's 6th Solar Return and conjoins 2009's Mercury Rx. You'll remember that Mr. Obama took the oath twice in 2009 because of Justice Roberts' flub (alleged flub!). Plus, Sun @00AQ41 is a solar transit to Barack Obama's natal Jupiter Rx in his 12th house of Politics defining a time of expansive plans, extended horizons, favored judicial actions or decisions, courage, pride, and confidence--just as both his presidential terms have been. Yet Inaugural 2009 Mercury shouted that his opponents would challenge his ideas and plans and be impossible to 'corral' (tr Mercury oppo natal Mercury in Leo).

Yet on an outer level, the Sun to natal Jupiter transit may likely inspire overconfidence and misguided expansion since dramatic Leo is involved and his natal Jupiter is Rx. As 2015 Jupiter moves backward in Zodiacal degrees, Mr. Obama's natal Sun @12Leo will again be conjoined (see below). Jupiter to natal Sun is the 12-year indicator when something begun 12 years before must be increased or discontinued all together--he was compelled by higher-ups to continue US occupation and other military actions in the Middle East (while pretending to end them) though Gitmo prison is in process of being emptied at last--and of course, Republicans disagree.

As for matters of war and conflicts, the SOTU 2015 chart does show Mr. Obama's natal Mars @22Virgo rising and, as always, obscured by US natal Neptune--with America's natal Mars in the very visible 10th house (US military used as global cop).

Jupiter Carries a Big Bucket

Leonine Jupiter Rx, here isolated in the hidden 12th house of Politics, remains the handle planet of a Bucket pattern and as such reveals where primary Jupiterian interests and future direction lie while linking together the two halves of the chart.

Another chart consideration involves Jupiter's broadcasting function for the rising midpoint of Jupiter-NN signifies the address itself and denotes responses made to others who are separate--such as public contact with ivory-towered politicians, or the 'Grand Old Party' rebuttal that comes in response. Plus, when Jupiter-NN energies combine we find such things as closed legal societies and/or a legal system hampered by erroneous decisions about the status of groups or parties! Religious leaders involved in Politics, imports that disrupt trade or business (TPP?), and consequences from treaties with allies are potentials. (Munkasey).

Mars-Neptune's 'Fog of War'...again

Now the final dispositor of all the planets ('actors') is mystical, foggy Neptune @5Pis57, planet of Islam, in its own sign of Pisces and posited in the 6th house of Military, Police, Health, Work, Civil Service, and Daily Tasks denoting that something is hidden, mysterious, fraudulent, and/or non-transparent in one or more of these areas--and in the SOTU address. Perhaps this is only a 'lack of, or inattention to, details' circumstance (see below) but in Politics (that 'organized system of hatreds') actions and omissions are usually much more purposeful than that.

One clue is that warrior Mars @6Pis46 has just left his meeting with insinuating Neptune and this suggests a charismatic male or groups (exs: ISIS/ISIL, military or entertainment figures, crooks) with tendencies toward hidden attacks, deception, lack of trustworthiness, dissolution, or misguided or inspired actions. However, rashness is cautioned against since hastiness will be certain to lead to disappointment in any or all 6th house matters as a new Mars-Neptune cycle begins--and this includes deceptive or misguided attacks on Obamacare.

Plus, we may wish to note that this position of transit Neptune conjoins President Obama's natal 1st house Chiron Rx (5:19), the guru, priest, seeker, healer centaur. Actually, a Neptune-Chiron melding may also show a double emphasis on a particular blind spot. Is the identity of a presidential mentor veiled? Is the president the mentor? Perhaps someone is providing inspiration from 'on high' as the White House acts under orders from afar and an out-of-touch character to the president's activities may continue to be noticed.

As you see, transit Saturn @2Sag42 in 3rd house of Communications conjoins the 'Sequestration--Super Congress' Solar Eclipse (2Sag37) of November 25, 2011 (chart shown) so the karmic planet of delay, loss, and well-deserved rewards triggers the eclipse with its 'peculiar turn of events' flavor which continues to affect both financial projects and relationships. (Brady).

Another financial indicator for SOTU 2015 is the Pre-Natal Eclipse Series it falls into which you see marked @00Sco24 in the 2nd house of the National Treasury (17 New North) for the Series has 'hectic activities; financial projects' vibes with a Scorpionic emphasis on such areas as Big Business, intense force (Mars-Pluto), hidden matters, research, operations (medical and military), and opportunities for Regeneration.

Then there's the Uranus-NN midpoint of radical politics, here activated by tr Pluto (novel solutions update old thinking) and by US natal Sun (impressions left by implementing reforms) which combine to form an intense Cardinal Cross if we include the Nodal axis. Yet there are those who endeavor to protect traditional procedures from radical reforms and we may think of Republicans' renewed **attacks on America's social safety net programs for the aged, poor, ill, and disabled.

Challenges of Mercury opposite Jupiter: GOP v POTUS

As for chart and MC ruler Mercury in its Station Rx condition (turning Rx Jan 21 @10:54 am est), Mercury the Orator 'applies' to only one aspect: an opposition to Jupiter Rx which conjoins the 12th cusp, the house of Secret Deals and Hidden Enemies (as well as Politics and Karma already mentioned above). So does Mercury on the verge of seemingly changing direction actually apply? The proceedings spotlighted by SOTU 2015 are more complex than that for Mercury and Jupiter will engage in a dance opposite one another for a while--we could say they'll 'circle' one another--so that their relationship is the pertinent aspect determining the results of SOTU 2015 and the proposals announced therein.

Mercury-Jupiter: August 2014--July 2015

Now the current Mercury-Jupiter cycle began when they conjoined in early Leo during the first week of August 2014, a Mercury Return for President Obama and a time of expanded plans for him (Jupiter to natal Mercury). In *Politics and Business we find that a combination of Mercury and Jupiter leans toward communicating about such areas as: growth and expansion plans, business matters or legal affairs that affect commerce and transport, religious and philosophical ideals, and/or scholarship that is censored by religious leaders who have political aspirations. Probably not up for public airing by the president (yet perhaps will be mentioned in the Republican rebuttal to SOTU 2015 performed by Sen. Joni Ernst, the hog castrator) will be a strained budget due to over expansion, a constant soapbox of the GOP when expansion threatens to benefit the common good of our nation.

So with their SOTU 2015 opposition issuing from their August 2014 conjunction and showing a 'Full Moon' phasal relationship, here are the directional changes and degrees of planning Mercury the trader and investing Jupiter the politician and banker as their challenging dance of stalemate/awareness is performed:

January 20, 2015: SOTU 2015 is delivered and marks the beginning of the last two years of the Obama presidency; Inauguration 2009's Solar Return exact at 11:02:39 pm est with Jupiter-Saturn on Ascendant revealing 'the tactician'.

Morning of Jan 21, 2015: SOTU Mercury turns Rx @17AQ05 opposing Jupiter Rx @19Leo46 (affecting SOTU 2015 and the Obama Presidency's 6th Solar Return; this echoes Mr. Obama's natal Mercury-Jupiter opposition across the early Leo-AQ axis). Potentials during this opposition include: harboring fantastical plans, a lack of attention to details hidden in the 'small print' which may lead to loss, making irresponsible remarks or unrealistic proposals, someone 'backing out', a search for easy solutions or methods, following a myriad of interests which scatters one's energies, and reviewing, retracting, or redefining and clarifying goals. Plus, others may be insincere in their declarations and/or legal entanglements may not go as well as hoped.

Note that in regard to SOTU 2015, Republicans in Congress have stated that the president is the one "stopping progress" and playing "political games"---well, it 'takes two to tango' doesn't it? And here we see the R v D game played out in the Cosmos by a Mercury-Jupiter tango! Yet we must look at the results and ultimate consequences of political actions and not what they say or don't say if we wish to see what was really intended. Meanwhile, the titanic power struggle continues (tr Pluto oppo US natal Sun) though it's true nature is seldom if ever revealed to the public.

On February 11, 2015, Mercury Stations Direct @1AQ19 showing that a Mercury Return to the 114th Congress' January 6, 2015 chart has just occurred--US Congress' Mercury @2AQ31 and this transit emphasizes the president's proposals and the GOP response to SOTU 2015. At SOTU Mercury's Station Direct, tr Jupiter remains Rx @16Leo55 so the phase of Mercury-Jupiter is at an obsessive-compulsive quindecile stage (165 degrees) denoting tendencies for grandiose thinking, bias, idealism and ideology to drive motivations including religious fervor (Reeves). For the president, Mercury opposes natal Mercury, a time when minds may be changed, schedules are difficult to maintain, and more challenges are revealed as testy disagreements are expressed.

Then on March 12, 2015, a general shift in thinking and planning occurs as Mercury leaves Aquarius and enters murky Pisces at the "A Public Market" degree in the Sabian Symbols. However, this won't end Washington's grandiose thinking with the speculator-wastrel pair of Jupiter and Neptune associated with Pisces but may make them more confusing or subtly hidden. The Jupiter-Neptune pair also relates to political conflicts so the political games and challenges continue on both sides of the aisle.

Another shift occurs on April 8, 2015 as giant Jupiter turns Direct @12Leo35 and this is another instance of the Jupiter to natal Sun transit mentioned above for President Obama. At this time, tr Mercury @16Ari57 conjoins techno genius and cyber hacker Uranus and this pair relates to several levels of experience, of course, including air and space travel. 12Leo to 16Aries suggests their recent Fire Trine of creativity and technological advances which may aid the acceptance and implementation of President Obama's SOTU 2015 proposals, grandly inspired as they may be.

If not by April, then growth, investment, and development may occur once Jupiter passes the shadow degree of his December 8, 2014 Rx Station (22Leo37) in July 2015 and begins to move ahead into the future.

Horoscope: Founding of the Federal City (DC) 1791

Mercury-ruled Virgo, sign of The Virgin, is a prominently emphasized Zodiac sign and constellation across the District of Columbia and appears in horoscopes of various cornerstone laying ceremonies of buildings and monuments across the city including that of the executive mansion (lodge) we now call the White House.

In the horoscope, chart-ruler (and goal-oriented Midheaven-ruler) Mercury makes no major applying aspects to other planets so its sign, house, and degree are spotlighted (10Tau32 in the occult 8th house conjunct star Menkar...victim of the unconscious and associated with Cetus the Whale). If we look to the stars of the ancient constellation Virgo for clues to the nature of our capital city, we find that the Virgin was called Demeter by the Greeks, Ceres by the Romans, and on April 21, 1791, the Sun @1Tau37 (8th house) conjoined asteroid Ceres, goddess of the harvest. Spica is the alpha star of Virgo, and is represented in the Federal Triangle by the phallic Washington Monument, part of the Founders' Solar Cult in which George Washington was allegedly deified.

Spica ('the spike') is linked with the wheat sheaf in the hand of the goddess (our Founders were pagan goddess worshippers as you may know by now!) and was considered a symbol of her gifts to mankind of harvest, bounty, knowledge and wise insights. That's supposedly George all over according to his contemporaries.

Of course there is much more to say concerning this horoscope, the circumstances in 1791, and the stars and planets thereof but I shall leave you to be curious enough to check things out for yourself--if indeed you are curious at all.

Beware: 'Full Moon' Congress in session Jan 6, 2015

January 2015: a Full Moon in Cancer Spotlights the 114th Congress

On January 4, 2015 a Full Moon lights the way as 114th US Congress members saunter toward Capitol Hill to meet in session on Tuesday January 6, 2015. By then, the Capricorn Sun will team with a dramatic Leo Moon, a dictatorial blend of energies suitable for what I call the 'Full Moon' Congress of 2015 with its 'Revolution Rocks the Boat' vibes of regime change that threaten to transmute the very identity of the venerable, traditional institution (Sun conjunct Pluto opposing We the People's Moon across the 4/10 axis: awareness, fulfillment, culmination of career and security objectives).

The January 4th Full Moon issues from the prominent 'World Stage' New Moon of December 21, 2014--Winter Solstice--@00Cap06 which will have germinated plans and projects toward fuller flowering at the January 4, 2015 Full Moon; this cosmic imprint will affect the entire year and for two years, describes the 114th Congress. The Pluto-Chiron midpoint (plutocracy, oppression, primal violence, Capitalism, Communism, Bolshevikism, Nazism, National Zionism, White Aryanism, Socialism, and more -isms than we can shake a stick at) is active in both the New Moon and Full Moon horoscopes and if you look at the chart shown below, you see Pluto-Chiron conjoins the 5th house of Risk-Taking and Speculation @13AQ02/37. Actually, Pluto, Chiron, and the 5th cusp are all at 13 degrees suggesting that a fated or karmic condition is involved--possibly an ancient one at that.

Naturally, the Winter Solstice 2014 horoscope is important in considerations concerning the 114th Congress, at least until Spring Equinox (Aries Ingress) in March 2015, an Equinox which will be imprinted by a New Moon @29Pis27--a Solar Eclipse.

Though it isn't marked on the chart, at Midheaven (MC = Aspirations) are nestled America's natal planets in Cancer (5--14 degrees). The 10th house Moon exalted in her own sign conjoins US natal Sun and Sirius (Alpha Canis Major: the shining one; the scorcher; the fire of immortality). Sirius is the star-goddess venerated by several ancient cultures and active in the founding of America, thanks to our nation's Freemason-Rosicrucian-Illuminati founders who were, it turns out the more I study them, feminine goddess worshipers rather than Christian believers--'Deists' as they are often called in an attempt to make their true allegiances and ultimate goals more palatable to the public.

Even the 10 x 10 shape of The District of Columbia--a diamond laid out by George Washington--is an archetypal symbol of Venus, and Sirius is the Star of Isis. Since Sirius may signify 'great deeds' (Brady), perhaps in 2015 the American people will shake off the politically engineered apathy that assails us and act on behalf of ourselves for a change because I doubt that the changes the GOP have in mind are what most of the public will desire or wish to accept (exs: Medicare vouchers, more dissolution of US sovereignty, lower corporate taxes, fatter political donations, additional banking bailouts on the backs of taxpayers as Wall Street gambles again and crashes the economy, expanded wars, less privacy, less health insurance coverage, more racist legislation, etc.) Plus, a Full Moon conjunct US natal Sun (the president) suggests that a majority of the public is more in tune with White House aims (as they are stated) than with GOP austerity measures which are punitive for us, liberating for corporations and others of the power elite class who have ensnared most of life's advantages as it is--at our expense.

And so I have entitled the Full Moon of Congress 2015 horoscope, "Revolution Rocks the Boat" even though the Uranus-NN = Pluto midpoint picture suggests that billionaire backers (supra-national bankers), plutocrats, and secret society types intend to do the rocking via political action, obstructionism, and propaganda campaigns.

Yet opposite the powerful Sun-Pluto duo, is the public's natal Moon with starry Sirius denoting that We the People must not sit on our hands while Pluto, The Secret Hand (the Vatican and others) effect changes toward totalitarian global government, well on the way toward implementation as it may or may not be. I say this knowing that all or most Democrats are part of the 'Big Picture' as well and must also take orders from hidden bosses of the global 'New Jerusalem' persuasion (and the 'Big Picture' includes the TPP, NAFTA, the UN, the CFR, the Trilateral Commission, the Star Families, the Dragons, etc.)

Few can now deny that 'Total Awareness' and control are their goals which are reflected by the first Full Moon of 2015 spotlighting the Cancer-Capricorn axis of Security and Control with Capricorn the Saturn-ruled sign of government, law, and business--at IC, the Foundation or Basis of the chart and of the 114th Congress. And if you enlarge the horoscope you may wish to read (lower left) a few notes concerning the ongoing transit of Uranus opposing US natal Saturn with its 'new order replaces old' connotation seen in part by this Full Moon Congress horoscope, the first lunation of 2015.

Please note that this SO'W post and all others are written from my populist viewpoint and in light of my considered opinion that the 'R v D' ploy is meant to divide and conquer (and weaken) the American people with pointless diversions while hiding the true nature and intent of the 'ruling class' as its members follow the globalist script. They play a 'power game with important consequences' so I look at what actually results from their theatrics rather than at what any politicians say, promise, legislate, or tout. By their fruits ye shall know them.

Now as you know, Cancer is a subjective, self-protective, nurturing placement for the compassionate Moon and reflects the 'reigning needs' and the mood of The People as 2015 begins--and that means all of us, including the less fortunate. These needs must not be allowed to be ignored or neglected by members of the Republican-led 114th Congress of neo-con hawks and Vulcans of war who are anti-government and anti-democracy.

Perhaps the man intended to be the people's standard-bearer, the president, will help staunch the Republican tide about to roll over and capsize our already-leaky boat (which includes our social safety net). After all, in the Foundation 4th house of the chart, you see Mercury @00AQ14 along with Venus (1:59) which times transits of both planets to the US Inaugural Sun--the Office of the President.

Mercury to Sun denotes willpower and communications being used to promote goals along with an originality that can win the day. We're already seeing this condition in President Obama's immigration initiative, the normalization of diplomatic relations with Cuba, and other endeavors. Attracting Venus conjoining Sun adds charm, popularity, easy relationships, and perhaps smaller amounts of money yet both planets are about to oppose Barack Obama's natal Mercury in Leo which on another level describes those who oppose his ideas and plans as Republican rudeness and spite continue. (Edit 2.10.15: Venus in this chart may also represent such figures as Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren as well as other feminine politicos--see more about Venus, below).

In addition, moneybags Jupiter in Leo is retrograde (11th house of Groups) which partially describes the anti-Obama contrariness of Republicans determined to financially stop or delay the president's initiatives from going forward--and this includes 'Obamacare'. Banker Jupiter's path into 2015 has been previously discussed if you'd care for a look.

Yes, Jupiter the General, the Guru, the Professor (as in, Prof. Jonathan 'foot in mouth' Gruber), the Corporatist--the Jolly One's roles are varied and his Rx periods tend to stall plans and activities on several levels. Yet perhaps Jupiter Rx denotes that the continuing stalemate between the White house and Congress will be more evenly matched than a new Congress (un)balanced toward the GOP suggests. In Sun-ruled Leo, ego-driven plans for expansion and investment are under close scrutiny by critics including broadcasters (another of Jupiter's roles) especially around April 8, 2015 and not letting up until after July 2015. Among others, #POTUS will be broadcasting from the Bully Pulpit in order to get his points across to the public while circumventing his opponents' blocking efforts.

Now it's usual in a horoscope to find the Ascendant and Midheaven squaring one another and they act, of course, as places for planetary energies to express. Yet if we wish to gain a bit more insight into what's up with activist Mars in Aquarius (5th house), we find that the warrior planet is apex of a pattern some call a 'Thor's Hammer' (or, 'Fist of God') and this condition depends on the meaning of the ASC-MC midpoint with potentials for: lessening the quality of life, a lack of common or shared goals, leaders who guide through periodic cycles of expansion and contraction, and/or exclusion of racial groups (Munkasey). With Mars as catalyst, this yields a fighters who demand appreciation as they attempt to protect themselves against threats to their lifestyles. Of course, this picture may also describe well-heeled individuals who never seem to hoard enough wealth or resources--and testy Mars isn't known for his sharing qualities, is he?

2015 Begins with a Full Moon in a Cardinal Grand Cross Pattern

Now I have yet to mention the titanic power struggle seen in the Cardinal Grand Cross between North Node, Ascendant, Moon, MC, Sun, Pluto, and Uranus/South Node and which hinges upon the Full Moon, the Nodal Axis (Past and Future direction), the MC (the Goal Point), and the continuing generational conflict of the Cardinal Square of Utopian Uranus and powerful manipulator, Pluto. Civil Rights issues continue to be front and center within their Cardinal Square as 1960s legislative progress is under fire. Also described, the White House v Congress turbulence; the Cross creates several midpoint pictures which you may wish to consider such as the one I penned on the chart and already mentioned, Uranus-NN (radical political groups) = Pluto (the Hidden Hand, plutocrats, saboteurs, etc). Why, just the Pluto opposing US natal Sun transit is enough to describe the power struggles and challenges the president has been facing.

Also prominent in the Full Moon chart as an indicator of good fortune is the 1st house North Node (NN) @14Lib40 which now joins US natal Saturn (lawmakers, judges, managers, our Founding Documents) @14Lib48 and shows that serious meetings are taking place. Though it may suggest limitations on the 'good fortune' of NN in 1st house, Saturn-NN also denotes longstanding ties, foreign enterprises that offer assistance, and/or new alliances forming (Munkasey). Given current conditions in the US, this duo may also point to an encounter (NN) with our national 10th house Saturn, a 'fall from grace' placement that indicates the breach of public contract and neglect of responsibilities and accountability being practiced by many politicians, along with the longstanding determination of certain entities to undermine and collapse the US government and thus control America's direction as global cop and enforcer for a 'new world order' as mentioned and penned on the chart concerning disruptive Uranus in Aries opposing US natal Saturn in Libra.

5th house Mars @24AQ20 conjoins or nears (depending on which US natal chart you prefer) US natal Moon which denotes that the public is very busy as 2015 begins and may act from feelings of anger; our domestic activities are hectic or at least, energetic. In Aquarius, planet Mars loves to reform and here opposes Jupiter Rx though the aspect is separating (2S55) suggesting events and conditions that have already taken place prior to the January 6th Full Moon. This Moon-Mars and setting-Uranus condition may herald more of the public's break with Tea Party politicians such as gasbag Ted "Green Eggs" Cruz--and his Party's rather obvious lack of appreciation for his egoistic efforts.

Chart ruler Venus in Aquarius

Oddly, the first chart consideration has so far been neglected by yours truly and that is Venus as chart ruler (and thus, 114th Congress ruler) and any applying Ptolemaic (major) aspects formed with other planets in the chart. Application of the chart ruler hints at how things will proceed from the January 4th Full Moon, a lunar phase denoting that what was primarily felt in the past is now seen (Rudhyar). On one level this describes the current Republican coup of House and Senate as of November 2014. Yet some political pundits say President Obama has been energized or liberated by this new condition--we shall see as 2015 gets underway.

Now as you see, 4th house Venus is posited in humanitarian Aquarius near US Inaugural Sun as noted above, and makes no applying (waxing) aspects to any of the Full Moon planets. Every planet in this chart is within bounds of the earthly plane so all actors are accounted for and involved yet with the condition of chart-ruler Venus we find that sign and house are emphasized along with the Venus-to-presidential-Sun transit already mentioned. Females and feminine issues are also denoted with any Venus placement.

Plus, a 4th house Venus denotes Real Estate Matters, Security Needs, and Domestic Interests along with projects that beautify the environment. This placement also hints at the attractiveness of our nation for Cuban immigrants who finally may visit their relatives in the US. However, their return to Cuba will involve much complexity and such outcomes cannot be known from the January 4, 2015 Full Moon chart since Venus is non-applying but this does suggest that at least some foreign visitors may endeavor to remain in the US (no application from 4th house).

Note that besides 1st house, Venus also rules the 8th house of Corporatism, Big Business, Debt, Credit, Insurance, Legacies and Inheritances, the Occult, Transformation, and Death and is part of the National Treasury axis, the 2/8 (Republican blocking of Obama's immigration plans via the purse strings?) and if We the People are enraged at Washington DC politicians for providing Wall Street with additional opportunities to gamble with the US economy and our livelihoods and mortgages while spending tax dollars on waging war which fattens their stock portfolios, we have every right to be--even before the December 2014 'Cromnibus' spending bill of last-minute poison pills was passed.

Now on positive levels, Venus in Aquarius signifies potentials for: sponsors who offer protection for those who long for freedom, progressive views concerning relationships, and happy social contacts. Negatively, the placement may also describe those who entertain peculiar plans and ideas (Ebertin) which may not sit well with a majority of the American people for our natal Venus of 1776 is in nurturing Cancer and our Moon is in humanitarian Aquarius.

One example of peculiar plans? Shrinking government until it can be drowned in a bath tub, a favorite goal of the tax-cutting, monarchic Republican Party which has apparently derailed their primary debating Clown Car of ridiculous presidential candidates for 2016. Well, their silly displays have served the purpose the last few years of ignoring real issues and solutions for the American people just as their spiteful obstructionism during Democratic presidencies have done. Undermining President Obama's efforts is a deep and guiding obsession for the GOP!

It's all part of Washington's Political Theater script, folks! And since the US government is owned by foreign entities who do not have America's best interests at heart, US politicians have no option to do other than follow orders.

Week of Dec 8, 2014: Jonathan Gruber before Congress as Jupiter Rx spotlights unfortunate remarks

Obamacare on Trial, Economist Jupiter Turns Rx, and Mr. Gruber Re-turns to Testify

On Tuesday health economist Jonathan Gruber will testify to Congress concerning his recent Obamacare remarks caught on tape about the bill being passed via "trickery," an apt expression of a major transit of great influence at that time (March 2010) when tricky Neptune conjoined US natal Moon (We the People) denoting the public's complicity in speculation and, some say, fraud.

Check out an article concerning Mr. Gruber's testimony here while noting that the Neptune conjunct US natal Moon was actually rising in the legislation's signing horoscope indicating that instability, deception, and a potential for fraud were bound to appear concerning the ACA, its provisions and confusions.

Leading up to the passage of the ACA was 2009 when three times the Obama presidency was imprinted by a Great Conjunction between the wastrel, spendthrift, grand spirit, speculator pair, Jupiter and Neptune, with all three conjunctions sprinkling magic fairy dust upon the American people's natal Moon which gave the entire period of events a 'little sense of reality' vibe from which Obamacare may never recover.

And if you follow Sabian Symbols at all, you may have noted that today's Jupiter Station Rx falls @22Leo37, a degree known as an "open mouth insert foot" or "worst foot forward" indicator (A. Louis) and such a description is mentioned in the article by people who know him well as a known tendency of Jonathan Gruber who also, friends say, has no screen upon what may pop out of his mouth.

But even without applying an astrological lens to the week's congressional proceedings, we may expect the odds that Jonathan Gruber will deliver a "worst foot forward" testimony this week to be quite high which, if Republicans have their way, will lead to more turbulence and further undermining of the ACA, aka, Obamacare. Mr. Gruber may even "open mouth insert foot" deeper than he already has.

Fascinating entertainment especially for the media and results may very well supply support for what SCOTUS will soon do to the ACA's much needed subsidies which create the "affordable" part of the legislation.

Yet as usual, affordable healthcare coverage for the millions of Americans in need of it will be a casualty of tiresome Republican antics and of little if any consideration during their dramatic grandstanding on Capitol Hill.

Following Expansive Jupiter's Path 2014--2015

On Monday December 8, 2014, as the US Congress lamely addresses the expiration of funding for the US government (set for December 11), generous Jupiter, planet of growth, investment, and expansion, seems to stand still in the heavens in preparation for a period of retrogradation indicating a regression of progress in the realms of Jupiterian matters such as budgets and funding.

You know the list of roles is too numerous to fully name here but it includes Jupiterian masks such as: The General, the Banker and Financier, the Guru and god, Professor, and Executive Leader (especially with Jupiter's recent position as the lead planet in a Locomotive pattern involving all the planets--though in this position, Jupiter can act with ruthless determination to reach his goal--by Executive Order, perhaps? Tactics by members of the Jupiterian 'Grand' Old Party? Yet GOPers act as austere Saturnians these days--and tend to when there's a Democrat in the White House.)

Obviously financial, military, and immigration issues are atop the calendar and unfortunately We the People must 'rely' upon a congressional body intent on making itself obsolete and already having made itself a laughing stock of the world. Well, Jupiter is the Jolly One but somehow the potential for over confidence and brash behavior is being overdone to the point of aiding transit Pluto on his destructive trek through structural, systemic Capricorn, sign of government, law, and business.

So with neocon warhawks (the Vulcans) about to re-take control of Congress the first week of January 2015--under Jupiter Rx--we may confidently expect the Jupiterian jingoism of war ("Bomb bomb bomb Iran," said John McCain) to again ring out across the nation with the complicit, propagandizing Media doing its part to pacify the public. (The previous sentence is replete with Jupiter-approved words of re-trogradation! Plus, Jupiter also signifies The Broadcaster and The Corporation.)

As for financial matters, the horoscope of Jupiter's Station Rx (Dec 8, 2014 3:41:02 pm est Washington DC) shows 00Gem10 rising, a degree conjoining star Alcyone of the Pleiades constellation--as did the Solar Eclipse of May 20, 2012 in the 14 South Saros Series (horoscope shown). Alcyone's key theme is something to cry about and you may remember that spiteful congressional antics of obstructionism and a willful lack of professionalism continued to give the American people plenty to cry about in 2012 as well as other difficult events including the much-touted and written about anxiety over the 2012 Mayan Calendar prophecy.

Other potentials when Alcyone is stimulated include rash and ruthless judgments which are often incorrect, blindness, narrow-mindedness, wantonness, ambition, causing turbulence and conflict--and Ptolemy gave the stars of the Pleiades a Moon-Mars nature so rage may be indicated.

Jupiter the General Salutes, Spends, and Imagines that He Conquers

As for upping US war efforts in Iraq and in other regions of the Middle East and elsewhere, we wouldn't be wrong to consider current efforts a continuation of the much-touted "Manifest Destiny" the ruling class has insisted upon for America's direction almost since day one. And though various natal horoscopes are in use for America, they all feature prominently the Jupiterian aspects of our bullying, know-it-all, might-makes-right national character as we seek to expand across the globe--the archetypal 'Atlas' we might call ourselves. We must include, of course, our tendency toward religiosity, materialism, and the worship of "the almighty dollar". Yet how ostrich-like must anyone be to avoid the realization that the era of the US dollar is in jeopardy? The 'petro-dollar', that is.

Well, no matter how our sentiments lean, our national Jupiter in self-protective Cancer is revealing for many reasons none the least being its Sabian Symbol...'6 Cancer' = "Game Birds Feathering Their Nests" which is precisely the opportunity (Jupiter) that becoming a politician makes possible! America and the US government relate to the global community as Moon-ruled Cancerians in the sign's canny, shrewd, and subjective way and as the world noticed centuries ago, 'it's all about America', according to us.

Born under a Sun-Jupiter conjunction and with a lifelong preference for Peace and Harmony--two Jupiterian concepts--it saddens me to remind you that America's natal Jupiter in Cancer turned Rx by progression in 1905 and now falls @15Cancer, the degree of the Pentagon's natal Ascendant, our 'Death Star' of Venusian persuasions. For me this describes US resources such as our National Treasury being ensnared and misdirected away from the needs of the American people by the military industrial complex acting as the military enforcement arm of Global Government--at least until China finishes building up its military forces.

So without further fussing, here is a tracking of Jupiter's path from December 8, 2014 (with details) until The General and Banker reaches Rx shadow degree after which things can then move forward more easily in matters related to investing Jupiter (all horoscopes used are set for Washington DC):

April 8, 2015 Station Direct @12Leo35 which re-conjoins President Obama's natal Sun (leadership) and previously denoting a time when projects begun about 12 years before (war) must be elevated (he began sending more troops abroad, some surreptitiously) or discontinued entirely (as he had promised multiple times); this time Jupiter is trined by Sun and Mercury from Mars-ruled Aries, separating, and also by the Moon (6A20) suggesting some amount of public popularity and perhaps an improved public mood; a separating trine from radical political activist and techno-planet Uranus completes Jupiter's aspect picture during this strengthening station which may facilitate the organizing of group activities and allow political matters to make headway in areas of finances, development, and investment. By April 8, 2015, Jupiter is the Handle planet of a Bucket planetary pattern.

So Washington's 'wise plans' and any reliable improvements must await Jupiter's passing of Rx shadow degree (22Leo37) on or about July 6 or 7, 2015--just after Independence Day 2015, a day honoring a freedom-infused concept that archetypal Jupiter's tendency to break through boundaries greatly appreciates. Thus, Jupiter's link to immigration issues as we remember that were all immigrants in the beginning except, of course, for (disenfranchised) Native Americans. Manifest Destiny is a cruel master if truth be told.

Additionally, one date to spotlight is the Composite date between December 8, 2014's Rx Station and April 8, 2015's Direct Station of Jupiter, and that is February 7, 2015 when a peak or crescendo of some sort concerning Jupiterian issues and events may be noticed on or very near that date.

So will Jupiter's forward movement denote that the second half of 2015 will be more productive, politically impressive, and thus happier for the American people? Transit Jupiter reaches Royal Star Regulus and 00Virgo around August 12, 2015 suggesting a period (until September 2016 during which time an obstructive Jupiter-Saturn square will interfere or restrict) of planned expansion and investment in Virgoan matters such as Health, Work, and Science with the key theme of Regulus (reflected by the US Capitol Building and thus Congress in the Federal Triangle of stars) being success if revenge is avoided.

And what are humanity's chances of avoiding that? Our track record isn't very good, is it?

The Mountain Astrologer: Mars square Neptune (the 'fog of war')

America's natal Mars-Neptune square has been a continual fuss here at Stars Over Washington and President Obama's new cycle of war in Iraq and Syria is shaded by its deceptive and misguided tendencies easily with his natal Mars (the warrior) veiled by US natal Neptune in Virgo. There's much more than meets the public eye as Caliphate meets Christian soldiers (though Washington and the Pentagon attempt to obfuscate this bigger picture.)

Wonder how Jupiter the General--now lead planet in a Locomotive pattern ('get on board or get left behind, coalition partners!')--will behave once planet Jupiter stations retrograde on December 8, 2014...withdrawal, task completed? A regrouping of forces to plan anew? A General steps down and is replaced? Or perhaps a failure of a misguided, ill advised mission which promises at best 'fluctuating success'?

Sep 24, 2014 New Moon @1Lib55: saluting Jupiter

If a horoscope for September 24, 2014's New Moon @1Lib07:55 is set up for Washington DC (2:13:45 am EDT), the New Moon, the seeding phase of a new cycle of activity, conjoins the Midheaven (The Goal or Aspiration Point) in the 'Sibly' horoscope of July 4, 1776 5:10 pm LMT Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (12Sag rising.)

In Politics and Business the Sun-Moon midpoint (conscious + unconscious) signifies potentials for: how the people's will is applied when taking the nation in a new direction, making national policy after reading approval polls, the international reputation of a country (ours rightfully sucks), loss of face--or, sorrowfully, head--in international politics, smears on a nation's reputation (global-cops-r-us), a leadership's will forcefully imposed upon the people, and/or pessimism flowing through the populace or through lawmakers. We don't need Astrology to tell us that it's congressional lawmakers, pro-corporate Supreme Court justices, and Republican anti-government operatives who have been three of the major causes of our pessimism. And with deceptive Neptune now floating through its own sign of murky Pisces it's to be expected that along with inspiration, contagion, illusion, mysteries, scandals, veils, and paranoia are prevalent in society and destined to become more so as the transit continues until Neptune's magic wand finally touches the Aries Point in late January 2026.

By that time Uranus will be in late Taurus and Pluto will be in early degrees of Aquarius after conjoining 00AQ+, the US President's degree on Inauguration Days...assuming we still have presidents in 2026.

So yes, the New Moon horoscope does look much like a 'war chart' with a misguided Mars-Neptune square echoing same in the US natal chart but only a few factors will be discussed with you today: Jupiter @14Leo43 rising in 1st house (ASC 3Leo33) which is the lead planet in a Locomotive pattern. The locomotive pattern or shape forms quite rarely though this particular one has been off and on of late. For the Sept 24th New Moon and with the Pentagon gearing up for more military action in the Middle East (and public approval for airstrikes said to be high--no 'boots on the grounds' please...gullible!), we find that an optimistic Jupiter the General is leading a full-steam-ahead Locomotive of success. And there's more info contained within this astrological choo-choo train...

When leading a locomotive pattern, Jupiter can be a ruthless self-seeker riding roughshod over others or a dynamic executive and efficient coordinator. And with Jupiter denoting increase and expansion, both roles may apply to various people or groups represented by Jupiter in mid-Leo here. After all, the roaring Lion Point @15Leo is about to be conjoined by Mr. Adventurism though with Jupiter and restrictive Saturn in Scorpio now squared, obstacles and blockages apply to investing Jupiter's plans for expansion. Thus, some hesitancy has been exhibited.

Plus, the transiting Jupiter-Saturn midpoint sits atop America's natal chart (MC) promising only fluctuating success with the potential for attendant losses while philosophers busy themselves pontificating on the merits of global copping. Meanwhile, our own house is in such disarray it's a wonder they can muster the bombast needed to keep telling other countries what to do!

In addition, the Jupiter-Pluto midpoint, a plutocrat-big banker-organizers indicator (exs: the Fed; fat warmongers) conjoins 4th house Mercury @27Lib14 denoting that a massive propaganda campaign is underway using the media/reporters/talking heads but this midpoint picture also applies to current political campaigns with their knickers-in-knots over the 2014 Midterms in November.

(My prognostication: Democrats are favored in November 2014 though of course the usual political dirty tricks can interfere with outcomes.)

So with full-steam-ahead Jupiter determined to provide weapons to the 'good rebels' and bomb ISIS militants to smithereens, the primary drive or motivation is found in the relationship between the occupied/unoccupied section of the horoscope and in the New Moon chart of Sept 24th, Jupiter in 1st house of Self (Washington DC) has no opposing planets in the 7th house of Partnerships and Open Enemies.

That is, no planets in 7th house except two: Inauguration 2009 Jupiter on Descendant (3AQ33) and We the People's natal Moon @27AQ+. For when transit Jupiter actually perfects its opposition to US natal Moon in late July 2015 (or months earlier if you use a different US natal chart with an earlier Moon), we'll all be referring back to the load of crap and trite slogans they used in 2014 in a transparent attempt to justify the propaganda they used to emotionally upset the American public and excite sentiment so that we would march back into Iraq while whistling their karmic tune of self-undoing.

Horoscope: Autumn Equinox 2014: Jupiter becomes prominent

Set for Washington DC, here is the horoscope for this year's Libra Ingress, or as I usually call it, Autumn Equinox, 2014. If you click the image you may see my scribbles--it's an Hour of Saturn and with all the sober issues bedeviling the world at the moment it's no surprise that Autumn 2014 continues our serious concerns of a Saturnian nature.

In addition, we are at the square phase (90 degrees = blockages; obstacles; 5A15) of the 20-year Jupiter-Saturn cycle (the two societal planets.) The current cycle began with their conjunction on May 28, 2000 and denotes, among other things, financial difficulties and delays plus, governmental (Saturn) blockages (square) along with lingering after-effects from events and conditions of 2000 and 2001 as the New Millennium got underway. You'll remember the Y2K scam, tech bubbles bursting, and other societal concerns at that time--and this wasn't long after the famous 'Nostradamus Solar Eclipse', aka the 'Mother of All Eclipses'. or, the 'King of Terror (or, Alarm) Eclipse.

Plus, the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction occurred in money-oriented Taurus, sign of the Bull of Wall Street, and paved the way into Millennial monetary robberies, fraudulent trading, 9/11 attacks and the missing gold from the World Trade Center vault/s... at 23 Taurus = "A Jewelry Shop Filled with Valuable Gems" (Rudhyar)--all leading up to the Crash of 2007/2008. Plus, the current Pre-Natal Eclipse degree falls in the 12th house of Politics, Secret Deals (ex: trade pacts the American people oppose), and Karma--also in gold-loving Taurus @8:51 (on April 29, 2014.) This Solar eclipse is in the 16 South Saros Series and denotes 'wasted energy and misdirected motivations especially when dealing with groups--take no real action at this time' (Brady.) Sounds like President Obama is well-advised to be cautious and hold off on committing major numbers of troops to Iraq--for now, but it's coming. After, the Iraq War natal horoscope of 2003 did have its Jupiter (The General) Return recently.

Okay, without further fussing, here's the Autumn EQ 2014 horoscope:

Chart-ruler Mercury (26Lib13 in 5th house of Gambling and Creativity) is unaspected so its sign and house position, the houses it rules (1st and 5th), and its dispositor (Venus in 5th house @21Vir34--they're in Mutual Reception so there will be cooperation between Mercury and Venus) is all-important for gleaning details on the character of Autumn 2014. Mercury is, of course, the communicator, messenger, orator, trader, teacher, and young person or student among many other roles for we often consider planets as actors on a stage.

Yet I would be remiss not to mention that Venus conjoins difficult Fixed Star Denebola indicating 'going against society' or, 'against the mainstream' and this to me denotes entities and groups which are doing and will do just that--in Politics at home and abroad, plus, violent actors and usurpers on the march and demanding that more power and control be added to their dubious accomplishments. And yes, this points toward the current crop of psychopaths!

With America now back on track toward sending more troops into Iraq, a December 18, 2011 post Iraq War ends w US Saturn uppermost 12.18.11 seems in retrospect to hint at a long relationship (Saturn) between the US government (natal Saturn) and the 2003 misadventure of the Bush administration's One Percent Doctrine, aka, the Cheney Doctrine of counter-terrorism.

Now since this is a Political Astrology blog, I trust that you have clicked or tapped yourself into the right place for expecting misadventure descriptions and unintended consequences explored under the rays of the September 8, 2014 Full Moon @16Pis19. For as someone once said, Politics is "an organized system of hatreds..." (H. B. Adams) and I believe it should not be allowed to taint anyone's mood too harshly though goodness knows politicians and propagandists try their best every chance they get.

The New Moon of August 25, 2014 @2Vir18 is the beginning of the cycle from whence the September 2014 Harvest Full Moon comes--always two weeks later and always a culmination or fulfillment of the seeds planted at the previous New Moon. So from Virgo to Pisces we go toward Autumn Equinox of September 22, 2014 (I'm preparing the post for it now to be published asap.) Set for DC, this Full Moon horoscope shows Taurus rising (10:22) which nominates Venus as chart-ruler and as usual, we look at the applying aspects of Venus to glean how things may proceed over the next two weeks from this lunation until the next New Moon of September 24 when the axis of emphasis changes from Virgo-Pisces (victim/savior) to Aries-Libra (relationships/self v others.) Yet we know that any Full Moon involves relationships along with full awareness and a potential for endings or even concerns about public matters.

Honestly, there are so many victims (and saviors) in the world today it's sometimes difficult to focus on just one or one group, isn't it? Additionally, in Washington DC the Full Harvest Moon falls in the 11th house of Groups, Associations, Hopes & Wishes so perhaps President Obama will have news concerning 'coalition of the willing' alliances he is said to prefer as the Pentagon marches off to the Middle East (not that we fully left) to continue its "war on terror" though to my mind, war IS terror.

Yes, ISIS/ISIL/IS--the Islamic State of assassins now terrorizing Iraq and Syria is being used in an attempt to terrorize the American public into fighting more war--may be a legitimate threat to the US but if so, it was the radicalization of the Middle East caused by our past betrayals plus Bush-Cheney bombs and now Mr. Obama's bombs that brought or may bring 'blowback' to our shores...for there's something about bombs killing all one's relatives that inspires a man or woman toward taking revenge--and an endless cycle of hatred and violence prevails. Forcing global government upon people who don't want it predictably creates chaos, don't you think?

Now the applying aspects of chart-ruler Venus (in 5th house of Risk-Taking) are as follows: Venus opposes Neptune (1A45) which indicates a period of vicious gossip, possible sexually transmitted diseases, and empty diplomacy. Self-serving gestures are prominent and religious fervor is faked.

Venus last trines powerful Pluto (6A53; Pluto in 9th house of Foreign Lands @11Cap02 Rx) denoting a time when the reading of body language is easy and those who seem self-contained with an aura of self-possession seem the most attractive. And though there are no guarantees there is a chance now to turn past failure into success which is an opportunity the Obama administration, the Democratic Party, and other players must take quick advantage of if they know what's cookin'.

If only the good of the American people were of any consideration!

Okay, the last chart factors I'll mention are the wide opposition between Mercury and Uranus across the 6/12 axis (which includes military and police services) squaring 9th house Pluto. This dynamic T-Square pattern may tend to attract complications or reversals, denotes potentials for vulgarities or slurs being added to speech, may point to a hasty realization of plans, and/or to 'getting the biggest job done in a commanding way' (Tyl.) Like a war or something really big.

Plus, now traversing structural, status quo Capricorn, wealthy, plutocratic Pluto is the apex planet of this Cardinal T-Square and we recognize those with a one-tracked, obsessive drive toward objectives which may include a demand for complete metamorphosis of systems and institutions and those who don't mind using extreme force to have their own way so that an old order can be swept away for the new. Abuse of power lies well within Pluto's realm as he overwhelms any opposition or challenge to his (imagined?) authority.

Now I wonder who this creepy Pluto group of psychopaths could be? The Fed, the Pentagon, international bankers, oligarchs, criminals, dictators, the Pope, secret societies, foreign or domestic assassins? Just as in life, Astrology works on many levels simultaneously so my guess is that Pluto represents all of the above and more besides--as in, a global conspiracy working toward waging WWIII.

Yet are there any benefits in the Full Moon chart to soothe the difficult energies and conditions now manifesting in the world? Perhaps, for an Earth Grand Trine is formed if we count a point of outlet for the energies at the Ascendant. The two planets involved are Sun trine Pluto, the actor I just maligned so terribly. Their protective, materialistic trine is separating (5S16) which denotes a past meeting (the Sept 4/5 NATO Summit in Wales?) between Sun (leader of a nation--in Wales it's 28 nations) and crabby, isolated, powerful Pluto, an aspect of concentrated will and deep insight into the most efficient use of energy and resources. As you know, a separating aspect also indicates unconscious or secretive influences.

Well, since we're talking Politics, NATO discussions of global security threats, and the Sun-Pluto duo, we may expect that changes in policy direction are in the air along with governing authority that is used to control dissent along with a generous helping of immorality. And it seems to me that in America the now-spotlighted accumulation of excessive amounts of armed strength by organized government and the negative influence of the organized criminal syndicate are of more immediate concern to our nation than what NATO members are reported to be discussing while meeting this week in beautiful Wales.

Edit Sept 7, 2014: one event I neglected to mention which will be affected by the September 8th Full Harvest Moon (also a 'Supermoon' as termed by expert astrologer #RichardNolle because of its closeness to Earth and seemingly larger size) is that Congress reconvenes on Tuesday September 9, 2014 from summer break. Fall of Berlin Wall Horoscope: Jupiter Rx having a Jupiter Return 2014

Such an awkward title for this post! The point is that on the evening the Berlin Wall fell on November 9, 1989, expansive Jupiter, planet of freedom and overstepping of boundaries, was retrograde @10Can38 and so a Jupiter Return to the Wall's chart has been taking place since August 2013. Due to the planet's regression cycle, the three conjunctions of Jupiter to its 1989 natal position are:

1. August 14, 2013; 2. February 23, 2014 (Rx)--the current phase; and 3. March 17, 2014. So what, if anything, does the Fall of the Berlin Wall have to do with the current crises between Russia, the US, the EU, Ukraine, and Crimea?

Well, for one thing, Jupiter's freedom and expansion principles and Saturn's restriction and control principles are once again vying against one another--and the Fall of the Berlin Wall is one of the signposts on 'the march' to a new world order, aka, Global Government, which intends to disrespect all national boundaries since such antiquated concepts are considered old fashioned and past their expiration date.

That the intrigue going on now in Ukraine and Crimea is related to new world order chaos and the establishment of global totalitarianism, I have no doubt. Yet you, dear reader, may retain your doubt if you prefer.

Below, you see the Fall of the Berlin Wall horoscope set for Berlin and for 6:57 pm CET, the time a government official made the announcement that the Wall was now porous and would be opened. According to the details in Campion's World Book of Horoscopes, the official told a journalist that the decision (see powerful Sun-Pluto = Mercury of decisions--'lording it over someone') was effective "immediately" which was actually not their intention. The people were stunned and exalted at the prospect of being allowed to see family members they'd not seen in 28 years.

Soon crowds gathered at checkpoints along the 100-mile Wall but the guards had not yet been alerted about the change. The first entrance/exit to open was the Bornholmer Strasse Checkpoint at 8:15 pm CET and a horoscope for that moment is relevant as well. Another interesting horoscope is that for 'just after midnight' of August 13, 1961 near a *Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Capricorn when the Wall was first erected as most Berliners slept. That must have been a true nightmare to wake up to since whatever side, East or West, they'd gone to sleep on, there they remained for decades with the emotional and financial depression the government caused:

November 9, 1989 6:57 pm CET Berlin Germany; Hour of Jupiter which is Rx and rising along with Chiron @16Can27 Rx; ASC 5Can19 (which is America's natal Jupiter position--hmmm...?); chart-ruler is the Moon in merge-loving Pisces which makes two major applying aspects which show upcoming tendencies: a square to independence-loving Uranus @2Cap50 in the house of Work and Health (2A08) and a second square to Venus @4Cap22, also in the 6th house of Police, Military, and Daily Rounds which were now curtailed and restricted.

Moon square Uranus indicates understandably that emotional outbursts and erratic behavior ensued along with feelings of restlessness and, by some, a defiance of authority. (Tap or click the first link above about the Wall's history for details on attempts to scale the barricade.) Moon square Uranus is the 'born fighter for equal rights' aspect (Pelletier).

Moon (the people) square Venus, a money planet of relationships, values, and beauty, denotes deep ties with the past, guilt about letting loved ones down (unavoidable under the circumstances), and rebellion against restriction in relationships. This aspect also describes the sad loss of good-paying jobs in West Berlin by those stuck on the Eastern side where economics weren't so rosy.

So with transiting Jupiter again reaching 10Can38, its freedom and venturing across boundaries implications are being played out, this time by Russian troops invading Ukraine and Crimea--though some people think that the US has stirred up conflict in the region as President Putin has asserted. In light of the globalists' austere new world order agenda to take over the world and the decades of misuse of the American military in the role of 'world cop'--plus, the foreign intrigues of the CIA, the US involvement theory is quite easy to believe or at least, easy to not discount all together.

As you see in the chart, the significator for Communism, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction @10Cap+, is now conjoined by wealthy, stealthy Pluto which simultaneously opposes the Wall's Jupiter in Cancer. So in the 1989 chart, it looks like happy Jupiter (freedom) in home-loving Cancer is opposed by Communism's depressive Saturn-Neptune on 'the other side'--of the Berlin Wall. Can we agree on that?

Therefore, if the events of 1989 and 2014 are related on a level or two, the third conjunction of freedom-lover Jupiter, the General and the Explorer, to its 1989 position on or around March 17, 2014 may bring resolution to the Ukraine-Crimea stand off between America, the EU, and Russia, if not before. At least, that's my best guess and my fervent hope!

*The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction exact @25Cap12 on February 19, 1961: freedom/expansion and restriction/control mush together; the 'societal planets conjoined again three times in 1980/81 @4--10 Libra, and again on May 28, 2000 @22Tau43. Horoscope: Spring EQ 2014 (Aries Ingress) w Jupiter and Sirius Rising

As you see here, Spring Equinox 2014 (aka Aries Ingress 2014--Sun to 00Ari00:00) occurs on March 20, 2014 at 12:57:09 pm EDT when the horoscope is set for Washington DC, my former place of residence.

Please click image to enlarge and hopefully you can read a few factors penned upon the chart since not all notes will be mentioned in the following text.

Any year's Spring EQ chart works as a background for the astrological year: for comparing to other charts, watching transits, keeping up with planets hitting Angles, entering Houses, forming aspects, etc. And with President Obama's shout-out in his recent SOTU Address that 2014 be "a year of action", we may wish to keep a squinty eye on the transits of Mars, planet of action, motivation, energy, war, and activism. here, Mars @25Lib14 Rx is conjoining North Node, a point of encounter, so the results we may expect are meetings, cooperation, teamwork, and, negatively, males (soldiers, policemen, etc) to be swept along with the impassioned masses.

However, as you see in the chart, banker, guru, adventurer, broadcaster, politician and/or general Jupiter @10Can46 rises with Fixed Star Sirius close behind...'The Scorcher' denotes 'the mundane becomes sacred' and is the Dog Star of ancient Egypt. Plus, Jupiter, moving direct since March 6th, is again the handle of a bucket pattern and as such is the focal determinator of the planets opposite which represent a particular and uncompromising direction of effort for the nine actors (planets), plus Chiron (the Healer and Priest.)

In that sense, Jupiter-as-handle adjusts his efforts and alliances where they count most; on a positive level for 2014, he acts as the instructor and inspirer of others. Negatively, handle Jupiter--now amongst America's natal planets in Cancer--Venus, Jupiter, and the Sun (leader)--is the malcontent and agitator full of unrelenting zeal. There are many persons in the US which this can describe including broadcasters, reporters, economists, pundits--and maybe a few bloggers, too.

Yes, extravagant Jupiter is prominent in the Spring EQ 2014 horoscope and rules the 6th house (cusp 9Sag40 conjunct warring Antares--6th house = Military and Police Service, plus, Health, Work, and Daily Rounds); Jupiter also rules the 10th house of Public Status, the World Stage, and Career through its MC cusp @24Pis59 (along with deluded Neptune--inflation, conflation, speculation, fraud, grand plans? Jupiter rising has grand plans, too.)

Now the Sun @00Ari00:00 is in the 10th along with rebel and anarchist Uranus @11Ari45. Unexpected events may affect America's public standing during 2014 (not that it hasn't been affected a lot in the last several decades.) President Obama is scheduled to kiss the Pope's ring in Rome in March which may be one of the manifestations of this 10th house Sun. Reportedly, one topic they will discuss is The Poor of the World. Hmm. Will the scandal-plagued Vatican Bank help out?

Moon (We the People) in Scorpio, ruled by forceful Mars and Pluto

A chart factor which must always be considered is any major applying aspects formed by the chart-ruler to see how things will proceed--here, the Moon @17Sco21 in the 5th house of Risk-Taking, Gambling, Creative Pursuits, and Children. Since it's an Hour of the Moon, we may expect changes, fluctuations, and publicity concerning these departments of life and which relate closely to America with our natal Sun (13Can19) rising--our first natal planet to rise--and this supports the 10th house implications mentioned for the Aries Sun, above.

Well, the only applying aspect made by the Moon is a conjunction to status quo Saturn @23Sco02 Rx in the 5th house. The energies of this duo when blended denote depression and oppression--especially of women (the Moon)--but can also lead to ambition, strategy, and a more realistic direction, usually in business matters. Here there is a corporate tone as well since they are posited in the Big Business sign of Scorpio.

Of special interest is the dynamic Cardinal T-Squares that are formed due to the Jupiter-Pluto opposition across the ASC/DESC axis of Self-Others. the 'Others' are secretive Pluto of toxin fame and one link is to environmental issues such as the destruction of America's water tables through gas fracking, the Keystone XL Pipeline, other pipelines, and chemical spills from holding tanks and ponds, and from train 'accidents'.

As you see, Jupiter-Pluto point toward the 10th house Uranus yet a Grand Cross is formed if we include the US planet opposite Uranus (or soon will be again), natal Saturn @14Lib48. This supports what we don't need Astrology to tell us--that things are complex and issues difficult to solve--and that's assuming that everyone on Capitol Hill wants to solve them.

Banking Jupiter rising hints at more economic stalemates with US natal Saturn and investing Jupiter having different perspectives on how money should be spent or not spent. The old Guns v Butter paradigm comes to my mind though you may disagree, as you wish!

Meanwhile, in a contest of wills, transiting Pluto of the Underworld continues to challenge US natal Sun in a titanic power struggle of no-compromise proportions and it is immediately on the menu for Spring Equinox 2014 as We the People deal with austere Saturn and Venus (money, values, relationships) in 8th house of Credit, Debt, and Corporations, inconjuncts (150 degrees = adjustment) the Spring EQ 2014 Ascendant (13Can55) and US natal Sun (13:19) which denotes tendencies toward over-compromising, over-extension, and security and protection concerns in Finances and other 8th house matters. Coercive measures may be used due to a 'success at any cost' mentality.

Fortunately, Jupiter rising in self-protective Cancer really likes to provide protection and is part of a Water Grand Trine pattern with the Moon, Chiron, and Ascendant. Plus, a Water trine supports the protection implications and needs of the 2014 chart and season during which a more spiritual attitude (Chiron) will be most helpful (Saturn-Neptune = ASC) rather than enforcing a materialistic one.

Well, quarrels and gridlock continue in our nation's capital as 2014 rolls along toward Spring. Astrological Jupiter, the *banking and financial planet of large proportions and (usually) generosity, remains in retrograde until its Direct Station of March 6, 2014 when it seems to pause at 10Cancer26, in the 5th house of Gambling and Risk-Taking when the horoscope is set for Washington DC.

As you remember, Jupiter's Rx Station occurred on November 7, 2013 @20Can30, a critical degree (in 11th house in the DC chart) with 24Leo09 rising. Curiously, the Jupiter Direct Station chart of March 6th shows 24AQ04 rising, the Jupiter Rx ASC's opposite degree and the Illumination Point. Plus, in the Direct chart, ASC 24AQ04 brings up US natal Moon (We the People)--but also asteroid Hopi (ambush or prejudice but also...hope which springs eternal.)

The IC (Foundation of the Matter) of the March 6th horoscope is conjoined by trickster Pan and gold-hoarding Midas along with Royal Star Aldebaran (potentials: courage; warmongering; military leadership; violence; sickness--A. Louis) which places Antares (potentials: war; legal problems; fires; quarrels; suspicion; violence; honors and riches but sudden loss--A. Louis) at MC, the Goal Point of the chart.

As predicted on this blog that sequester cuts would be nixed for the Pentagon's sake, does anyone believe the now-restored funds in the military budget won't result in America's continuation of waging war and beginning new ones (under the guise of 'intervention' and other such euphemisms) across the globe? Yes, our domestic needs are sacrificed for the sake of war abroad--it's the same old guns vs butter argument which the American people tend to lose.

Politically and financially, there is 'fateful deception' going on between the two horoscopes of Jupiter's Rx and Direct Stations (Sun-Neptune = Pluto) via the use of illusory, spiritual, or psychic forces to persuade. The November 7, 2013 Rx chart shows warrior Mars @13Vir17 rising as contentiousness over foreign and domestic matters has resulted in the ongoing gridlock in Washington, as we've seen on many occasions.

Of course, if you've read this blog a few times, you may know that I consider most of the frustrating Political Theater 'gridlock' and 'stalemates' in government to be part of a script written elsewhere for US politicians and media types to follow as they further ensnare the American people in global government implementation. To me, that means that the two political parties are little more than factions of the ruling class who have been promised large gains via their cooperation (if not controlled by blackmail or threats to family members.)

Cynical me? Oh yes. Washington's perfidies made me that way and yet I love my country. After all, it isn't what they say or promise the public, it's what ends up happening that matters most. And so often these days, a majority of us don't agree with our government's actions or how they spend our tax dollars. It seems the NWO freight train just keeps chugging down the fast track though supra-nationalists must get worried now and then that their plans aren't coming to fruition.

So! May we expect some improvement once Jupiter turns Direct on March 6th? Yes, forward plans may be put into action though improvement may not be felt until the Jolly One moves past his shadow degree of its Rx Station of November 7, 2013 which is 20Can30. (The transiting Moon is at 20Can+ as I type!)

This cosmic event occurs on June 1, 2014 at 1:13:40 pm EDT with the 'success' midpoint of Venus-Jupiter at MC, and Jupiter just fertilized by the Moon @26Can46. Moon-Jupiter contacts generally portend happiness and/or sucess, even if it's only temporary. However, tr Pluto @13Cap03 Rx (secret wealth; sabotage, etc) remains in opposition to US natal Sun (the leader; the president) suggesting that recent and current titanic power struggles and stalemates will continue to bedevil the president's programs pertaining to both foreign and domestic matters for and in the US, along with the tr Uranus-Pluto square (generational conflicts and blockages) as a major part of the rebelling, protesting, striking, rioting, and obstructing gridlock of Washington DC.

America! Going for Bargain Basement Prices

In the 1990s there was the draconian World Trade Organization (WTO) and its first push back from the people, what the media termed the 'Battle in Seattle'. Then it was jobs-destroying NAFTA (effective January 1, 1994) and Citizens United in 2010 (the anti-democracy 'corporations are people' ruling of SCOTUS). Now it's the secret anti-sovereign trade deal they call the Trans-Pacific Partnership--what many are calling 'NAFTA on steroids', and rightly so.

It's taking a lot of effort by these corporate pirates to totally sell out America and US workers, yet Global Government types must be highly excited this week after the past weekend's Bali Summit and the talks that immediately followed on Saturday, December 7, 2013 as Bali officials flew to Singapore to further the devilish TPP.

Meanwhile, the press helps the White House with articles and videos that imply that there's hope for US workers and US sovereignty after all, but this Capricorn frets that such expressions are only smoke and mirrors to keep the populace quiet about our nation being sold out to the Corporate Global Syndicate of bankers and other criminals. Oh look! Here's a panacea now from Huffington Post: Obama Faces Backlash Over New Corporate Powers in Secret Trade Deal. Did you read it or watch the video and feel better? How much force and push back from We The People and from other populations would it take to counter these jokers' Great Plan of global domination via backroom 'trade deals'?

And how curious that the president has been so determined to implement his Affordable Care Act yet the TPP will make lower priced prescription drugs impossible to obtain...because there won't be any. As with NAFTA, it won't be America that benefits most from this 'trade deal' which will financially unite 160 nations!

(Makes me wonder if my initial ACA misgivings are justified--that it's about controlling the people who sign up, nosing into our medical histories, further weakening our health with toxins, vaccines, etc (depopulation), guinea-pigging us which they've done for decades already, and 'owning' every person's DNA.)

Many horoscopes have been studied by yours truly concerning these topics but it would take days of typing to publish the astro-notes in my files. Therefore, I shall mention here a few notable chart factors and provide some data in case either of you wish to set up charts (if you haven't yet.)

One of the most stunning factors that jumps out at us is the current position of destructuring, secretive, stealthy wealth-hoarder, Pluto (the saboteur), of Invisible Helmet fame. Pluto now conjoins Mercury, Mars, and Sun in the NAFTA horoscope and stomps upon Singapore's natal Moon (10Cap56)--horoscope data below.) Plus, Pluto @11Cap16 will be fertilized on January 1, 2014 by a New Moon @10Cap57, representing the seeding of a new cycle of activity.

Now Pluto transits are always intensely life-changing and permanent, as you know, and Pluto to Singapore's ambitious, business-oriented natal Moon in Capricorn (which is out-of-bounds denoting the people's feelings of emotional insecurity and lack of connection to those in power who ran and run the place) shows that manipulation and control can bring devastating consequences with powerful motivations leading to great achievement; yet if reckless determination is followed there can be a loss of everything--including national sovereignty and jobs, in the case of the TPP.

Another interesting transit is from Saturn @17Sco52 (on Dec 7, 2013) to Singapore's natal Neptune @17Sco15 in the 2nd house of Earning Ability and Values. This is the 'grim face of reality' transit that can bring misinterpretation of responsibilities and below-board financial dealings although a 'dream come true' can also apply--but probably only for the Global Government movers'n'shakers who are secretly brokering this draconian deal they've have long dreamed of.

By the New Moon on January 1, 2014, a T-Square forms between the Mars-Uranus opposition which points to banking planet Jupiter @14Can04 Rx which denotes those who are planning a course of action for the future and this, of course, supports my Global Government fretting (aka, a 'new world order' or 'new world financial order'.)

In the New Moon chart of 1.1.14, Jupiter is the handle of a Bucket pattern which shows banker Jupiter to be the important actor and determinator of these issues since it is Jupiter Rx in Cancer that links the two sides of the horoscope with the rest of the Capricorn planets in the chart.
