Ruth Bader Ginsburg: Sun Pisces-Moon Scorpio

Collection of the Supreme Court of the United States; by Steve Petteway [Public domain]

Brief Astro-Notes re: Ruth Bader Ginsburg

November 5, 2019: Since the natal horoscope and data of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg, pictured above, are rated X (date with no accurate time), and because she likely will be the Justice who will decide on an upcoming case involving scofflaw Donald Trump (poetic justice!), I'm typing a few notes concerning Justice Ginsburg's personality blend using her double Water Pisces-Scorpio Sun-Moon combo of conscious + unconscious energies.

Related: Ian Millhiser's November 4th Vox article A federal court of appeals just demolished Trump's claim of immunity from criminal investigation.

Born Ruth Joan Bader on March 15, 1933 in Brooklyn, King's County, New York, her Sun-Moon blend reveals her as an individual with tenacity, courage, acute perception, and a deep intellectual capacity. Emotional and intuitive, the personality of Justice Ginsburg is passionate, dedicated, and possesses deep psychological insight into other people's motives. She exhibits strength in adversity and stubbornness once a decision has been made. Unafraid of the truth, the Justice may not be easy to live with, yet has an innate desire to help and heal others who are in despair, an admirable quality in my estimation.

Her complex Sun Pisces-Moon Scorpio blend is shared by the natal charts of some interesting folk including: Johnny Cash, George Harrison, Bernadette Peters, explorer David Livingstone, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and author John Steinbeck who informs us that, "It is the nature of man as he grows older...to protest against change, particularly change for the better."

And according to Longfellow,

"Know how sublime a thing it is to suffer and be strong."

Well, I'm not certain how the Steinbeck quote applies to her but perhaps you'll agree with me that tenacious, notorious Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, cancer survivor, definitely has that last concept well covered!

In closing, here are several inspiring Quotes by Ruth Bader Ginsburg and I'd like to cherry-pick three of my favorites off the list for your consideration:

"A gender line...helps to keep women not on a pedestal, but in a cage."

"A constitution, as important as it is, will mean nothing unless the people are yearning for liberty and freedom."

"I would like to be remembered as someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability."

Power Elite Strategies: the Reality of Voting Revealed

When Donald Trump complained about our 'rigged system' he wasn't referring to the bigger (crooked) picture:

Morally Deformed Power Elite Strategies Against the People (sans Democracy)

"By dividing the voter through the political party system, we can get them to expend their energies in fighting for questions of no importance. It is thus by discreet action we can secure for ourselves that which has been so well planned and so successfully accomplished." - American Bankers Association, 1924

Is this a reference to the secretly planned and sneakily implemented central banking Federal Reserve System?

"It is enough that the people know there was an election. It's not the votes that count, it's WHO counts the votes. It doesn't matter who the people vote for; they always vote for us." - Joseph Stalin

Well, thanks, Joe, for that clarification. And though the phrase may be bandied about by US politicians and their backers of a certain autocratic persuasion, I cannot and will not believe that America's Founding Fathers considered democracy to be "mob rule."

G-20 Summit November 15--16, 2015 w Sun in controlling Scorpio

Once again it's time for the 10th annual G-20 Summit which is being held in Antalya, Turkey. The event spreads before and after for various groups but the main leaders get together on November 15 and 16, 2015 with Sun (leadership) in secretive Scorpio and the Moon in ambitious Capricorn. And of course the Moon's sign clues us in on the mood of the two days--of the attendees and of the public--and with Capricorn, we think serious, ambitious, mature, and perhaps restrictive.

Naturally this combination of energies includes sign rulers Mars and Pluto (Scorpio) and Saturn (Capricorn), planet of government, law, and business. Obviously representatives from each level of management will be in attendance and the summit's Scorpionic interests include issues of control and manipulation along with Big Business, the occult, and matters of death and transformation.

And if we look closer at the Sun Scorpio-Moon Capricorn blend we find a practical Water-Earth condition in which a determination to do what needs to be done is uppermost. This suggests a group of tough and tenacious people, some possessing a dark, brooding intensity with a streak of self-righteous judgmentalism to their natures. Or perhaps judgment is what is expected from them along with being called to account (Saturn.)

At some point during the summit the Moon (emotions) will conjoin wealthy, powerful Pluto (13Cap+) so although few if any details may be released publicly we can glean a few potential results such as: extreme emotions being violently expressed or shouted, vanity offended, actions toward objectives compete with sentimentality, personal insults hurled, fanatics and crusaders strive toward goals without regard for other people. (Ebertin.) And of course, when the Moon reaches Pluto, the ongoing Uranus-Pluto square (though waning at the moment) is triggered which is most likely a reference to protests against world leaders attending G-20 Summit 2015 and what is assumed to be draconian measures that few populations are eager to experience.

So whatever hidden agenda the G-20 Summit organizers have and plan to execute upon the world, let us close with three famous quotes from people who were born under the Sun Scorpio-Moon Capricorn personality blend for to me all three quotes seem to apply:

"Take calculated risks. That is quite different from being rash." - General George Patton.

"Puritanism...helps us enjoy our misery while we are inflicting it on others." - Marcel Ophuls.

"He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow." - George Eliot (Mary Ann Evans).

"Sociopathy on Parade" - Thom Hartmann discusses John Boehner

#ThomHartmann #JohnBoehner #Reagan #Politics #sociopaths #MTP

May 4, 2015: A caller to Thom Hartmann's program asks if the GOP's John Boehner knows he's lying during his recent appearance on Meet the Press. Thom replies and explains how the Republican Party went insane with the Reagan presidency and how their cognitive dissonance (hating the government vs wanting to control the government) made space for sociopaths to step in who don't mind lying especially since they don't view others as human beings.

If you feel empathy for other people and support America's social safety net programs, depend on them, or know someone who does you may wish to check out this video! And please consider such information carefully before voting for your next sociopath politician. It seems voters' old feeling of deciding between the "lesser of two evils" will only deepen with 2016 candidates. Yes, Senator Bernie Sanders will put important topics into the debate mix yet who would cooperate with him and his progressive policies if by a magical landslide he became president?

So when it comes to lying politicians, personally I'd call such people psychotically divorced from reality which makes it easy for anti-government, empathy-challenged politicians to ignore how their criminal actions affect the every day reality of the American people. And this includes corporate CEOs, Wall Street gentry, and international bankers...basically, the global crime syndicate and all those who support and enable its tentacles to oppress and disenfranchise--not that some of its members aren't intimidated with threats and blackmailed into doing its bidding with (the alleged fantasy of) "offers they can't refuse." The rest are simply bribed with powerful positions, fame, and fortune and ordered to follow 'the script'. Integrity comes cheap in politics.

Related: view Mr. Boehner's November 17, 1949 natal horoscope set for noon since no birth hour is known. In September 2010 I posted a few notes on the natal planets and aspects of John Boehner, a Moon-Neptune kind of boo-hooer. Perhaps the alcohol helps him numb his knowledge of the truth behind his lies.

You may also wish to revisit Matt Taibbi's 2011 article The Crying Shame of John Boehner, "the ulimate beltway hack," who became Minority Speaker in 2006 and Speaker of the House in January 2011.

Apt or not, here are 5 Famous Quotes of Note:

"Every man thinks God is on his side. The rich and powerful know he is." Jean Anouilh

"Idealism increases in direct proportion to one's distance from the problem." John Galsworthy

"Puritanism--the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy." H.L. Mencken

"As a people we have developed a life-style that is draining the earth of its priceless and irreplaceable resources without regard for the future of our children and people all around the world." Margaret Mead

"The real lost souls don't wear their hair long and play guitars. They have crew cuts, trained minds, sign on for research in biological warfare, and don't give their parents a moment's worry." J.B. Priestley

11.21.13: Senate nuclear option has Sun Scorpio-Moon Cancer vibes

Today in the Washington Post, Greg Sargent writes that No, the nuclear option will not make Washington partisanship 'worse'. It's difficult to see how the US Senate could get much worse yet I fret that there are those on Capitol Hill who will give 'worse' their best try now that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has actually followed through.

Is this change in the Senate another signpost on the way to collapsing America on behalf of a 'new world order'? Probably, yet it's the president's constitutional duty to fill vacant judicial seats and most everyone agrees that the Republicans did not 'allow' President Obama via their jackassian obstructionism to fulfill his duty. Now he can so that may be, at the moment at least, progress.

Yesterday (11.21.13) as the nuclear option worm turned, the Sun was in the last bit of Mars-Pluto-ruled Scorpio while the Moon was (and right now still is) in its own sign of Cancer, the sign of America's natal Venus, Jupiter, Sun, and Mercury Rx. A double-Water blend indicates intuition and feelings in abundance and perhaps some of the action may have been inspired or influenced by the current Solar Eclipse Saros Series, the 16 North (16N.)

Occurring on November 3, 2013 @11Sco15/16, 16N denotes an 'illumination of ideas' as unconscious material suddenly floats up bringing a 'great deal of insight' due to the initial 16N eclipse (1599) lending its Uranus-Neptune trine energy to current events. And as you know, the Uranus-Neptune duo are the Enlightenment planets and their last conjunction/s time a modern-day natal horoscope for the 'new world order' (Oct 24, 1993.)

Well, for a little insight, let's briefly consider yesterday's nuclear option Sun-Moon blend of Scorpio-Cancer:

This is the 'mailed fist in a velvet glove' combo of energies (which some would say describes Harry Reid!) with a strong sense of duty. Shrewd and charismatic, the blend denotes deep feelings, nostalgia for the past, serenity, and self-sufficiency. However, subjective hunches may trump objective reasoning and self-pity (Mitch McConnell?) may become evident.

Here are the three Images for Integration for this Sun (conscious mind)-Moon (unconscious) combination as given by Charles & Suzi Harvey in their book, Sun Sign-Moon Sign:

"A surgeon develops life-saving methods...A mother eagle defends her babies with immense courage...A mother passionately defends her delinquent child and pleads for a compassionate verdict."

Let's close with two quotes from famous people who were born with the Sun Scorpio-Moon Cancer blend:

"There is a homely adage which runs 'Speak softly and carry a big stick, you will go far..." - Theodore Roosevelt ('big stick' = nuclear option? Well, Harry Reid certainly speaks softly!);

"So live that you would not be ashamed to sell the family parrot to the town gossip." - Will Rogers (quite impossible in Washington DC, isn't it?)

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! jc

America's tangled web: 9/11 Families v Saudi Arabia

"In the eyes of posterity it will inevitably seem that, in safeguarding our freedom, we destroyed it. The vast clandestine apparatus we built up to prove our enemies' resources and intentions only served in the end to confuse our own purposes; that practice of deceiving others for the good of the state led infallibly to our deceiving ourselves; and that vast army of clandestine personnel built up to execute these purposes were soon caught up in the web of their own sick fantasies, with disastrous consequences for them and us."

Andrew Breitbart February 1, 1969 -- March 1, 2012

Yesterday, at the shocking news of Mr. Breitbart's untimely death, I set up a noon natal chart for him along with a death chart for "shortly after midnight" at the Ronald Reagan Medical Center UCLA and what I saw almost caused a post to be published asking if anyone involved the investigation is looking for a tiny puncture wound or for an untraceable toxin in his bloodstream. Since the moving van comes tomorrow I have no time to follow up now but will add this disturbing link so that I can pick up on the topic later:

FDR quote on the Essence of Fascism

"The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism - ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. "

Sitting Bull and JP Morgan on America

Well, here's a voice from the past that hits our plutocracy squarely on its head:

"Hear me people: We now have to deal with another race---small and feeble when our fathers first met them, but now great and overbearing. Strangely enough they have a mind to till the soil and the love of possessions is a disease with them. They take their tithes from the poor and weak to support the rich and those who rule."

- Chief Sitting Bull

Speaking of austerity cuts for the poor: Cost of War in Iraq & Afghanistan $1,132,861,364,615.

Plus, as old J. P. Morgan (the Financial Astrology buff) once said, "Of all forms of tyranny the least attractive and the most vulgar is the tyranny of mere wealth, the tyranny of plutocracy."

Lame Duck Congress: Sun Sag-Moon Pis 12.13.10

There's an interesting astro-atmosphere on Capitol Hill today, Monday December 13, 2010 with Sun in Sagittarius, sign of The Seeker, and Moon in Pisces, sign of The Mystic.

Luna remains in watery Pisces past midnight so let's consider the traits of the current Sun Sag-Moon Pis blend of energies whether the congressional test vote for the Bush tax cut extension occurs today or not.

First we know that a Fire-Water blend is a steamy concoction capable of cleansing, sterilizing, or scalding. It is ardent, even volatile, with a temperament that can fluctuate wildly; impartiality is not its strong suit and fanaticism may be prominent: theatrics may ensue.

Sun Sag-Moon Pis is fervent, restless, and humanitarian, and indicates a rich imagination, deep convictions, and moralism. It is the blend of the irrational logician who can also be helpful, sympathetic, and generous.

About this blend, Noel Tyl says that, "the higher mind gains tremendous support from intuition' and, "The mind is above it all and quite pleased with itself." (Synthesis & Counseling in Astrology.)

Yes, this is the thinker and dreamer combo describing a sentimental philosopher who wants to understand and broaden horizons yet who may find intellectual principles too cold to bed down with. There's a tendency to be lavish with mundane expenditures for this blend contains within it a mischievous subpersonality of the wastrel.

(Congress has certainly proved to be that - especially if there's a warring misadventure to fund at tax payers' expense so that the power elite can make mega-bucks profiting obscenely off our investments! Perhaps you disagree? The tax cut extension bill on the Hill today will raise taxes only for the poorest Americans which to me seems a craven act of banditry considering that the wealthiest 2% whine to continue their tax windfall with no thought of the deficit when it comes to their pocket lining! One group needs decent food and shelter for their families, the other needs less greed in their hearts, and if 'trickle-down' were going to create jobs, it would have done so these last 10 years.)

Since Sun Sag-Moon Pis sees clearly the folly of other people's ways, giving advice is a favorite past time and usually includes telling one's personal story - it may babble on too long. Does this describe a filibuster? Sen. Bernie Sanders has ended his but we'll see if Friday's performance is picked up by another senator with filibuster on his mind for the Sun-Moon blend on a Monday (or on the first day of the week they gavel into session) colors the entire week of business on Capitol Hill.

All in all, Congress' lame duck session today may need more concentrated efforts, focus, and an awareness of its own tendency toward gullibility. The blend has only one 'Image for Integration: A jolly, shabbily dressed vicar tells raucous jokes to down-and-out children and high society at the Church garden party.' (Sun Sign-Moon Sign, Charles and Suzi Harvey.)

Well! That sounds much like President Obama signing the bill this morning to improve the food program for kids in school! 'No American child should go to school hungry' - total agreement here. Yet one may marvel at the success of forces in recent decades which seek to undermine and destroy the US public school system - wish someone would stop feeding that destructive monster its breakfast! Our failing test results tell the tale of America's lack of preparedness for competition in the power elite's 'new world' of 'free trade'.

Now today's Sun Sag-Moon Pis combo is shared natally by Frank Sinatra, Paul Klee, Bruno Huber, and the three folks whose quotes I leave with you:

"I love mankind - it's people I can't stand." Charles Schultz

"The salvation of mankind lies only in making everything the concern of all." Alexander Solzhenitsyn

"Back in the thirties we were told we must collectivize the nation because the people were so poor. Now we are told we must collectivize the nation because the people are so rich." William F. Buckley

Hope everyone has a good week!

Politics is the gentle art...

"Politics is the gentle art of getting votes from the poor and campaign funds from the rich, by promising to protect each from the other."

Oscar Ameringer

Well, on this Midterm Election Day 2010, that pretty well sums things up, doesn't it? Unless you prefer to add a famous quote from Henry Brook Adams for a fuller portrait of the rabid animal:

"Politics, as a practice, whatever its professions, has always been the systematic organisation of hatreds."

Gandhi's good question and JP Morgan's Astrology

"What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty and democracy?" Gandhi

A while back I posted another of Gandhi's quotes along with a smidgeon of details on his natal chart. Included is an excerpt from the 1922 book by Senator Richard Pettigrew Triumphant Plutocracy which you may find enlightening.

Pluto's realm of plutocracy, the form of government we have here in America and have always had, is co-ruled and more fully described by the pairing of Chiron with Pluto. The current Chiron/Pluto midpoint is necessarily conjoined to the transiting Neptune/Pluto midpoint because Neptune and Chiron have been conjunct of late. Both midpoints have been conjoining the position of our national Sun (leader) off and on since before Barack Obama took office.

Might this describe pressure on the president or his collusion with them? With Goldman-Sachs and Clinton agents surrounding him in the White House, it could be either way - probably alternating! My suspicion is that White House tenures for Larry Summers and Timothy Geithner were part of the prerequisite for Mr. Obama's term in the Oval Office.

In other words, without them, he wouldn't be there at all (in more way$ than one.)

Robber Barons Ride Again - well, their biological and ideological spawn do, anyway

Now you remember Neptune/Pluto as the Robber Baron duo whose Great Conjunction/s of 1891 and 1892 time the rise of the great industrialists, oil titans, and corporations. President Teddy Roosevelt put a damper on their style for a while by using US law to bust them up in the early 1900s yet they've continued to thrive and multiply all the same with the US Congress turning on ordinary Americans in favor of corporations.

And recently SCOTUS put its finger on the Scales of Justice by joining the uplift-corporations parade - as if the political playing field weren't skewed against we-the-people already.

Insidious Neptune/Pluto

Separately both Neptune and Pluto relate to oil, gas, things hidden in the ground, and to the tunnels and caves it takes to reach them - in the earth and under the sea.

Here are the dates and degrees of Neptune/Pluto's great hook-ups:

1. August 2, 1891 @ 8Gem38
2. November 7, 1891 @ 8Gem19
3. April 30, 1892 @ 7Gem42

Nuclear degrees, yes, and Pluto's 1930 discovery heralded the atomic age.

But also this area of the zodiac is where asteroid Midas currently traverses (though 'he' just recently reached past 9Gem) and we see how things are playing out for the legendary, archetypal gold-hoarder Midas who has cornered the market on every natural resource possible, along with major gold manipulations.

Is it a coincidence that Midas now inhabits the area of the Great Conjunction/s of Neptune/Pluto's oil barons?

Not if you think 'there are no accidents' or that 'things happen for a reason', as is commonly said. And you don't have to delve very far into Astrology to discover the special branch known as Financial Astrology where markets are timed by the As Above, So Below principles of the ancient art. Astrologers who possess financial expertise make big bucks consulting with investors and the financial wizards of Wall Street.

"Millionaires don't use Astrology, billionaires do," are the famous words of old J. P. Morgan, a client and student of astrologer Evangeline Adams, the Adams family descendant who popularized Astrology in NYC at the turn of the 20th century. Seems her talent in this area was inherited.

Well, here's a link to a post I wrote on the Neptune/Pluto-era magnate's natal chart (w/ chart image, rated accurate) and get ready because you'll find that J. P. was born with Pluto, the Dragon guarding the world's riches, conjunct (of all things) Midas!

And how does America and our financial system fit into this picture? Snugly, with our nation's natal Uranus, planet of revolution, rebellion, independence, and genius positioned in 1776 @ 8Gem55.

Apparently it's the universe that's in collusion!

Eisenhower's Sun Libra-Moon Libra prescient again?

"We will bankrupt ourselves in the vain search for absolute security."

Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th president of the United States, 1890-1969

Now it's 2010 and "the vain search" is ongoing and bankrupting America as predicted - or promised (see comment under this post about Eisenhower's controversial US citizenship!) - and there's still no such thing as "absolute security", is there?

Dwight Eisenhower was US President from 1953 - 1961 which makes him my earliest memory of an American President doing his presidential thing. Born in Denison, Texas on October 14, 1890 @ 3:00 am CST; ASC 5Vir52; Mc 3Gem21 with Neptune 6Gem30 conjunct Pluto 7Gem39; Sun 20Lib58 and Moon 25Lib49 make him an Air-Air Sun Lib/Moon Lib.

This is an idealistic combination of Sun/Moon energies which produces a fine intellect, a diplomatic nature, and a zeal for justice. Plenty of discussion is needed in order to arrive at balanced conclusions, and courtesy and fine manners are considered all important. That others can be rude and crude can throw Sun Lib/Moon Lib off balance.

Obviously, relationships play a pivotal role in the life of one born with Sun and Moon in Libra, sign of Relationships, Partnerships, and Romance. A need for feedback from others and for meeting others halfway is evident; when forced to take command, the normally cool and detached Lib/Lib really comes alive (General Eisenhower); romance acts as a bulwark for when life gets tough or becomes unseemly.

(Mamie and Ike were lifelong partners and I was okay with that until I realized at a certain age that my Mother had developed a habit of having my hair cut with what became the famous 'Mamie Eisenhower bangs'...see example below: my 2nd grade portrait, goofy grin and all, with bangs somewhat grown out, thank goodness!)

So with Lib/Lib in Politics, controversy becomes a catalyst toward decision-making and finding one's own power; a capacity to see an opponent's point of view makes for an astute politician, along with an innate desire to uplift and encourage others to do their level bests.

Sun Lib/Moon Lib's Image for Integration: 'A prince and princess of warring tribes fall in love and marry, and 1,000 years of peace ensue.' (Sun Sign-Moon Sign Charles and Suzy Harvey.)

So here I am sportin' Mamie's Bangs and lookin' pretty happy about it! (Both front teeth not necessarily included.)

3-Quote Round-Up, one from Ayn Rand

"Formerly no one was allowed to think freely; now it is permitted, but no one is capable of it any more. Now people want to think only what they are supposed to think, and this they consider freedom."

Oswald Spengler (born May 29, 1880 - died 1936) from The Decline of the West, 1926; Herr Spengler was critical of Nazi 'racial superiority' theories

"We allow the most atrocious lies uttered by political and moral prostitutes to go unchallenged. These lies are endlessly recycled in the commercial media until they become ingrained in the public conscience as truth. Worse than burying our heads in the sand, we bury them up our collective ass. How do you like the view?"

Charles Sullivan (This brief Wiki bio is for the 'Charles Sullivan' who ran for president in 1960 - there are at least two of them, maybe more...who knows?)

"Ask yourself why totalitarian dictatorships find it necessary to pour money and effort into propaganda for their own helpless, chained, gagged slaves, who have no means of protest or defense. The answer is that even the humblest peasant or the lowest savage would rise in blind rebellion were he to realize that he is being immolated, not to some incomprehensible 'noble purpose', but to plain, naked, human evil."

Jefferson, Benet, Emerson, and a Mad Scientist

Famous Quotes complimentary and brought to you by Information Clearing House:

"We thought, because we had power, we had wisdom." Stephen Vincent Benet

"I hope our wisdom will grow with our power, and teach us, that the less we use our power the greater it will be." Thomas Jefferson

"A person will worship something, have no doubt about that. We may think our tribute is paid in secret in the dark recesses of our hearts, but it will out. That which dominates our imaginations and our thoughts will determineour lives, and our character. Therefore, it behooves us to be careful what we worship, for what we are worshipping we are becoming." Ralph Waldo Emerson.

And I believe it was John Lithgow playing Mad Scientist in the 1984 cult film Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension who intoned so very wisely:

Heinlein on censorship by government

“When any government, or any church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, ‘This you may not read, this you must not see, this you are forbidden to know,’ the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives. Mighty little force is needed to control a man whose mind has been hoodwinked; contrariwise, no amount of force can control a free man, a man whose mind is free. No, not the rack, not fission bombs, not anything—you can’t conquer a free man; the most you can do is kill him.”

Robert A. Heinlein (If This Goes On 1940)

Invisible government as Octopus: a famous quote round-up

"There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself."

Dan Inouye United States Senator for Hawaii

"The real menace of our Republic is the invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities states and nation. At the head is a small group of banking houses generally referred to as 'international bankers.' This little coterie...run our government for their own selfish ends. It operates under cover of a self-created screen...[and]seizes...our executive officers...legislative bodies...schools...courts... newspapers and every agency created for the public protection."

John Francis Hylan (April 20, 1868 - January 12, 1936), Mayor of New York City from 1918 to 1925.

"I'm going to be so much better a president for having been at the CIA that you're not going to believe it."

George Bush (41st US President 1989 - 1993, b.1924)

Famous Quote Round-up courtesy of the excellent Information Clearing House Newsletter...subscribe today.

And here's a newspaper article from the past by John Hylan where he blames the greed of big bankers for our nation's being on the verge of bankruptcy! Sounds eerily familiar, yes?

And you know that if you cross your eyes as you gaze at America's natal chart ('Sibly' version; July 4, 1776, 5:10 pm LMT, Philadelphia, PA), you see a planetary picture with our Virgoan Neptune and Libran Saturn on either side of Midheaven which gives this word picture to our nation's aspirations (Mc) by way of secret or invisible (Neptune) government (Saturn)...

Sat/Nep = Mc: wavering between materialism and idealism; peculiar loss of ambition; moodiness; capitulating to the demands of the environment totally. (Tyl; Ebertin.)

Or to put it more simply: 'invisible' or 'secret' government is the pentacle of aspirations and the path of worldly success for the US government. Argh.

Borry sastards. If this is the case, then we-the-people have been set up from the start as supported by US Pluto positioned in controlling Capricorn and out-of-bounds of the earthly plane, an icy place from whence the Dragon makes his own plans toward his own goals...and devil take the American people - along with the rest of the world, too, come to think of it.

Napoleon Bonaparte on Banks and Government

"When a government is dependent upon bankers for money, they and not the leaders of the government control the situation, since the hand that gives is above the hand that takes...Money has no motherland; financiers are without patriotism and without decency; their sole object is gain."

Napoleon Bonaparte, 1815

Upton Sinclair's Utopian dream

On September 20, 1878, in Baltimore, Maryland, with Sun in Virgo conjunct Mars, and Moon in Cancer, was born future author, journalist, and social activist Upton Sinclair, who still asks:

"Is it altogether a Utopian dream, that once in history a ruling class might be willing to make the great surrender, and permit social change to come about without hatred, turmoil, and waste of human life?"

Yes. It is. Altogether.

How difficult is it for any earthbound man to give up what he sold his eternal soul for? Shhh! He's counting out his gold coins now...

Twain, Russell, and McGovern on War

Here's a Quote Round-Up concerning man's war on man, woman, and child...how I wish young men of all persuasions would just say, No!

"Man is the only animal that deals in that atrocity of atrocities, War. He is the only one that gathers his brethren about him and goes forth in cold blood and calm pulse to exterminate his kind. He is the only animal that for sordid wages will march out...and help to slaughter strangers of his own species who have done him no harm and with whom he has no quarrel.... And in the intervals between campaigns he washes the blood off his hands and works for "the universal brotherhood of man" - with his mouth." Mark Twain

"Patriots always talk of dying for their country and never of killing for their country." Bertrand Russell (attributed)

"I'm fed up to the ears with old men dreaming up wars for young men to die in." George McGovern

Frederick Douglass on the Life of the Nation

Uh oh...

"The life of the nation is secure only while the nation is honest, truthful, and virtuous."

Frederick Douglass (1818- 1895), Escaped slave, abolitionist, author, editor of the North Star and later of the New National Era.
