Eclipse Cycles Time Similar Historical Events

As readers of SO'W know, a Solar Eclipse in the 6 South Saros Series - the same family as the Nazis Rise to Power Eclipse of August 1932 - has already repeated and its theme of 'being forceful, taking power' brought along a partial electoral victory at the 2022 Midterms allowing maga Republicans to commandeer the US House of Representatives. We've seen what an amateurish 3-ring circus that has been as they pretend to govern while undermining the rule of law, yapping at the heels of President Joe Biden, and attempting to follow orders from their wealthy overlords. And sporting AR-15 pins on their lapels as silent threats.

My point is, We the People are in the thick of a struggle against barbaric Nazis with racism and 'Aryanism' the arrows in their hate-filled quivers as before. But unlike in WWII, the battlefields are different and the criminals are more sophisticated and organized, so that focus, not apathy, must be maintained if we are to vanquish the enslaving enemy once again. For as you know, freedom, once lost, is difficult to regain.

My suspicion is that there are enemies of America who use cosmic factors as timing agents: an obvious example is 1930s Pluto in Cancer (the magician) now opposed by Pluto in Capricorn (the dictator) for a while longer, as a 'Full Moon' culmination opportunity to fulfill little Adolf's perverted dream of global domination when democracy could be banished from the Earth, and creepy Pluto, as a symbol of death and transformation, could bring the primal violence, extremism, and exploitation needed to enforce tyrannical government against the will of the people. That our nation has now experienced her first-ever Pluto Return (27Cap33) in 2022 must have seemed like a perfect excuse for transformative activities.

Then looking ahead, we have another watershed moment in time: the third of three Great American Eclipses to 'look forward to' with its 8 North themes of visions and good ideas although as a Mars-ruled Aries Eclipse manifesting in 2024, an election year, I must wonder what disruptions, revelations, and wild cards the Cosmos has in mind for our democratic Republic.

Blurred: Will It Be the Tyranny of One-Party Rule?

Besides blurring political prospects for the 2024 election, one of the more basic results from last evening's Midterms 2022 Elections is certain to be an increase of gridlock government where the needs of the American people are even less addressed than before. Yesterday's Total Lunar Eclipse (a red 'blood moon') in Taurus did sport radical Uranus conjunct the Moon, after all, so anti-social voters and unexpected happenings were and are in play.

Meanwhile, control of the House and Senate hang in the balance as I type with Republicans promising to finagle more government shutdowns if they should take control of Congress in order to force cuts in our social safety net programs, eventually destroy them, and thereby cause misery of the masses (one of their specialities). This really would be a radical change of course with Uranian flair, and control of Congress may come down to a run-off in my home state of Georgia which would be held on December 6th, last I heard.

Yet today it seems significant that no 'red wave' of the 'blood moon' has occurred but neither did a Blue one, more's the pity for democracy and the Biden administration. Even so, we can still say that outcomes could've been worse - and happily, some of Tr*mp's favored candidates lost their races so the orange blighter is weaker today than he was yesterday - and 2024 hopeful Ron DeSantis has retained his grasp on Florida!

Now ordinarily in America, gridlock in Congress, where few if any legislation can be agreed upon by both parties, is considered a good thing for our federal government because the Founders wanted power to challenge power along with our traditional checks'n'balances (Jupiter-Saturn). Not that maga Republicans respect American traditions - because our traditions such as the peaceful transfer of power get in the way of their plan for one-party tyranny.

Such stalemates should work as protections for the American people, erecting a wall against tyranny yet it's difficult to retain faith in the gridlock-is-good concept when election liars and deniers and their favorite insurrectionist politicians of sedition who don't 'believe' in governing, are tilting our politics and our lives toward a fascist style of government and hurling the US toward totalitarianism with Nazi implications.

Still, for a while at least, I rejoice today because last evening the US Congress failed to gain a huge amount of weight when maga candidate and snake oil pitchman Mehmet Oz lost to John Fetterman in Pennsylvania - and to this I say a hearty hip hip hooray!

On the Tyranny of Plutocrats and Eagles That Crow

One of the astrological signatures I think of first when it comes to tyranny, plutocracy, and governments is the Pluto-Chiron duo of oppression, primal violence, exploitation, corporatism, (predatory) capitalism, fascism, communism, zionism, Marxism, and other anti-societal -isms the world constantly faces via dark forces.

The cycle of Pluto and Chiron is approximately 60 years in duration and they last conjoined by degree (as seen from planet Earth) on December 30, 1999 and acted as one of the heralds of the New Millennium along with the August 11, 1999 Solar Eclipse, the 'Mother of All Eclipses' in the 1 North Saros series as what some call the 'King of Terror' Eclipse prognosticated by seer and astrologer Nostradamus.

Conjoining at '12 Sagittarius', Pluto-Chiron's Sabian Symbol is descriptive:

"A Flag Turns Into an Eagle That Crows"; "Keyword = ADJUSTMENT; positive expression: successful establishment through genuine self-expression; negative (shadow side/unconscious--jc) expression: idle prejudices and unsubstantiated claims." (The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, Jones.) Few can disagree that the bogus lead-up to the Bush-Cheney invasion of Iraq (and really, Afghanistan, too) was predicated on "unsubstantiated claims" and fakery. Even Colin Powell acted his part in the game of persuasion which he performed at the complicit UN.

The 1 North series originated on January 4, 1639 @13Cap48 if you'd care to take a look at the societal conditions and historical events of that year for deeper insight into 1N eclipse themes which include: 'unexpected events add pressure to personal or group relationships; making hasty decisions is cautioned against because information is distorted and possibly false. There is also an essence of health concerns attached' to the 1N series' (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

Here's an early post I wrote about 'The King of Alarm Eclipse' Horoscope with a few details; please note that no edits have improved the following post.

Three Prominent Eclipse Factors:

1. The initial eclipse in a series permanently imprints upon each future manifestation of all eclipses in the series; for 1 North, this adds a Saturn-ruled Capricorn vibration to its Solar Leonine influences.

2. Eclipses are often called the 'wild cards' of the Universe due to their Uranian ability to reflect unexpected events and to reveal secrets and hidden causes. Changes of direction often occur.

3. New and Full Moons can act in similar Uranian fashion to Solar (New Moon) and Lunar (Full Moon) eclipses especially when they fall upon sensitive degrees, particular planets, nodes, and/or angles. Disruption and revelations may occur as with eclipses, the 'wild cards of the Universe'. Plus, New and Full lunations retain their 'seeding of a new cycle' and 'culmination phase' timings.

So as you see, the initial eclipse degree of 13 Capricorn opposes US natal Sun (leadership) which links its potentials to the US government, plus, another factor from 1N's manifestation in 1639 is that restrictive, depressive Saturn @6AQ22 conjoins America's natal South Node (of 1776) which adds potentials for limitation, isolation, separation, and ambitions that are out of harmony with prevailing societal attitudes and practices You know--like a vision of Global Domination aided by a false flag operation to emotionally manipulate the American people into waging preemptive war, the one we'll never on this Earth be able to wash off our collective conscience thanks to warmongering 'rulers'.

Ancient as the Hills: East vs West

Now if we consider the attacks of 9/11/01 as issuing from the 'King of Terror' (or, 'Alarm') Eclipse of August 11, 1999 @18Leo and thus as another of the heralding events of the New Millennium, we note that on 9/11/01, transit Neptune, signature planet of Islam, conjoined US natal South Node (6AQ) which adds elements of intrigue and misfortune that are out of control of its victims. A sense of fate or karma was prominent on 9/11/01 as Islam (Neptune) conjoined America's SN (fate; inheritance) with the American public reaping what had been sown (karma) for Washington's past (SN) hastily performed actions and betrayals. We might even say that certain past actors (SN) participated in the deceptive ruse (Neptune).

Then unsurprisingly, the attacks of 9/11 were used to justify the already planned implementation of tyrannical laws (ex: the US 'Patriot' Act) which undermine the very nature and principles of America--against what the American people thought we were--as our country was labeled by Osama bin Laden the 'great satan' -- but to me that was a perfect example of the devil calling the devil 'devil'!

As we look ahead, please note that a Solar Eclipse in the 1 North Saros Series repeats on August 21, 2017 @29Leo as the second of three Great American Eclipses. 'Information is distorted and possibly false' indeed.

Can the August 2021 Full Moon plop Trump into Power?

No Plopping of course, Just Reflecting: As Above, So Below!

June 1, 2021: As you've heard, former guy Trump is telling people down in Mar-a-Lago that he expects to be re-instated as president by August (!) so naturally, at the very least, a peek at August 2021 lunations could be interesting. (Chart below: outer = Trump natal planets highlighted in lavender). Of course, such fantastical remarks could be merely part of a money-making scheme, an attempt to keep his various scams afloat and donations coming in.

Cosmic Weather August 2021

First comes a New Moon @16Leo14 on August 8, 2021, a time of seeding plans and the beginning of new activities. No, '16Leo14' isn't conjunct his natal Mars-Pluto midpoint but it is very near his Uranus-Chiron midpoint (16Leo24) of chaos-creating (his specialty). Plus, his 'lucky break' midpoint of Jupiter-Uranus @17Leo40 could possibly be stimulated by the August New Moon, especially if he's aware of it.

From New Moon to Full: Culmination, Fulfillment, Full Awareness, Relationships

My suspicion is that the cosmic clincher, if there is one in August, has to be the Full Moon of August 22, 2021 @29AQ37 and Sun @29Leo37 - conjunct Trump's natal Ascendant-Descendant axis, as you see in the Full Moon Horoscope, above. The bright rays of a Full Moon can act much as a Lunar Eclipse would do with revelations, uncoverings, leaks, disruptions, endings, sudden changes, fulfillment, and/or an illuminating spotlight cast upon the former guy and his fantasy-prone political activities. And often scandal/s may suddenly appear in the news cycle.

Why, it's even possible that at this very moment he and his enablers are devising malicious schemes going forward that he thinks will catapult him back to power "by August" and now muses upon the exciting prospect - and the revenge he'll soon take upon his non-supporters, critics, and the American people (his natal Mars opposes US natal Moon, as we've felt already). Meanwhile, with his ASC-DESC axis involved, royal Regulus (now @00Virgo instead of 29Leo as in 1946) will also take part in the "stormy proceedings" and you know the star's caution: to avoid taking revenge or all that's been gained will be taken away.

Yes, there are a few cosmic factors that may turn out to be more negative than positive for the Orange One such as the Full Moon's Saturn-Neptune midpoint conjunct the Full Moon (feeling emotionally drained; pessimism; a low character) - and guess what? This transit of the Saturn-Neptune midpoint falls precisely opposite Trump's natal Saturn-Neptune midpoint which conjuncts his natal Ascendant (at birth!) and suggests potentials for oppression, depression, emotional suffering caused by others, and/or limitation of freedom (R. Ebertin). Now there's something that would interfere with his political 'come back' dream! And note, lower right, that transit Jupiter Rx @26AQ54 opposes his natal Mars in proud Leo, marking an inauspicious time when efforts on a grand scale may collapse under their own weight!

Now in closing, mention should be made of chart-ruler Mercury's two applying Ptolemaic aspects (listed lower left). First, an opposition to gaslighting Neptune (4A04) suggesting: ideas and plans that are purposefully deceptive, misleading, and/or dangerous; hidden facts, misunderstandings; confusion, mistakes, disappointments; misperceptions; underhanded behavior; and/or unfavorable business negotiations. Add to this a triggering of Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square of deception, falsehood, lack of discrimination, and fantasy. (And as you see, his natal 2nd hou$e Neptune @5Lib50 is his first natal planet to rise in the Full Moon chart so that his speculator trio of Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter are rising front and center.)

But then Mercury trines powerful Pluto (6A27), a more favorable condition denoting that personal power can be successfully utilized or wielded, research can pay off, and/or promotional campaigns and/or propaganda may have the desired result. But not necessarily for Trump, of course, so we'll have to wait and see who or what benefits more - tyranny or democracy.

And so, dear reader, Trump's 'August idea' seems wacky and little more than a vanity project, I agree, and hopefully there are other worthy chart factors for those who care to find such information in the August 22, 2021 Full Moon Horoscope. An Eclipse Series ended in 1931: The End of an Epoch

1931: Britain's Financial Change of Direction and a New Social Order

Many of the historical events of 1931 are significant and a few of them stand out to me such as the 'United Kingdom abandons the gold standard' on September 20/21, 1931 under the influence of the 5 Old South Series (chart shown, below) which ended on September 11, 1931 (in the US; September 12th in the UK).

Oddly enough, 40 years later in the US, Dick Nixon took the US off the gold standard in 1971, the year the 9 Old South Series ended with a final solar manifestation @29Cancer on July 22, 1971. (Perhaps astrologers were involved!)

Inconveniently, I have no information concerning 5 Old South eclipse themes which ran in the background of society in 1931, but I do have a bit concerning 1971's 9 Old South themes: 'idealism, great energy', and/or 'reunions' (B. Brady). However, the initial eclipse in the 9 Old South Series, which began on June 23, 727 OS @4Can16 (conjunct what would become America's 1776 Venus and Jupiter positions), also contains hints of 'quarrels' and 'perverse inclinations' (BB). Could the 'reunion' be American bankers joining British bankers off the gold standard? Just a thought.

So for readers interested in financial topics, here's a pdf from 2012 by Michael Kitson of Cambridge University concerning the advantages (or not) of utilizing the gold standard, titled, End of an Epoch. Perhaps you're familiar with Kitson's work but if not, there it is.

Now I suppose a posting of the the final 5 Old South Eclipse Horoscope for September 1931 would ideally be set for London but since this is Stars Over Washington, below is the September 11, 1931 eclipse chart set for DC, as we always called the capital city when I resided there many moons ago.

Notably, financier Jupiter is in Sun-ruled Leo, the sign of gold, wealth-hoarder Pluto is in the financial 2nd house in business-oriented Cancer, and there's a deceptive if creative Mercury-Neptune conjunction in Virgo with Mercury retrograde in 3rd house of Communications, near the IC of the horoscope. In the 5th house of Speculation and Risk-Taking is Mars in Libra where the planet of energy, motivation, and action can express himself with too much frankness which can cause conflicts in relationships.

Then as you see, the disruptive, 'change of direction', 'cosmic blink' Solar Eclipse itself is posited in the 4th house @19Virgo (near US 1776 Neptune in Virgo, sign of Work, Employment, Service, and Health), a placement which was opposed by transit Neptune in 2020 from contagious, secretive Pisces, and suggests that Britain's financial 'change of direction' in 1931 affected the US economy as well which would be naturally expected between the two nations:

As you see, a dynamic T-Square between the harsh Saturn-Pluto opposition (across the avaricious Cancer-Capricorn axis of investment, business, and ambition) squares erratic, disruptive Uranus Rx in Mars-ruled Aries (in 11th house in DC but revealingly in the corporate 8th house in London). Now even by itself, Uranus in Aries denotes potentials for 'blind zeal, fanaticism, violence', plus, Utopian idealism and can indicate radical political reform. Add both Saturn and Pluto squaring the planet of anarchy, Utopianism, and war, and a dangerous mix results replete with negative karma. Years of financial mismanagement is suggested (which I believe there was).

Many of the karmic Saturn-Pluto-Uranus trio's variety of potential expressions are listed on the chart lower right and across the bottom of the chart but I'll type them for you here, mainly because they imply that it was not only in the financial realms that turmoil and upheaval were occurring in 1931, and suggest, of course, the rise of despotism and tyranny which tends to have an easier time gaining a claw-hold when a Uranus-Pluto square is in force which suggests apathy in society, and a Saturn-Uranus square forms which denotes a period when an old order can give way to a new order:

'Sudden violence; mass murder; harsh conditions; cruelty; poverty; power plays at the top'; "brutal efforts to start a new order" (Tyl).

So as you know, dear reader, society has been under the influence of such planetary squares in our day as well, first between Uranus and Pluto, now between Saturn and Uranus, as tyranny and totalitarianism challenge Democracy in the US and in various locations across the globe. You'll recognize the tendencies of certain anarchists toward blind zealotry and acts of violence for they're easy to spot along within the concurrence of similar attitudes and objectives from the 1930s brought into our era as 'fascism' attempts again to take control of society, particularly in America. After all, if America should fall, so goes the rest of the world.

The Social and Economic Order of the 1930s

Then revealingly, another highly influential event occurred in 1931 (May 15th), especially among those of a Catholic persuasion, which relates to the above topic squarely within the economic realms of society, and this was the encyclical Quadragesimo anno (the 'reconstruction of the social order') issued by Pope Pius XI in which he dicusses "the ethical implications of the social and economic order" and "the major dangers" "arising from unrestrained capitalism, socialism, and totalitarian communism." Well, yes. The Vatican hierarchy does interfere at times - certainly in the Nazi era with the church's famous capitulation in 1933.

Inauguration 2025 Horoscope: Cowboys and Tyranny

"Anarchists Form a Committee to Overthrow the Tyranny of Committees" (The Harveys).

December 8, 2020: Here you see the DC Horoscope of Inauguration 2025 published with a sprinkling of hope that there may actually be one. Please enlarge the image to read my study notes if you wish; brief chart details are added below:

Horoscope: January 20, 2025 12:00 pm est Capitol Building Washington DC; Hour of Venus (@17Pis38 conjunct Saturn in 11th house of Groups and Associations: discontent?); Final Dispositor Neptune in Pisces conjunct 12th cusp; North Node @29Pis08 conjunct star of misfortune, Scheat, in 12th house of Karma; 12th house Chiron conjunct determined Sisyphus opposes the 6th house Moon @18Lib31 (conjunct Trump's natal Jupiter). Sun in the public 10th house (of course) with powerful manipulator Pluto @1AQ41 suggesting a Pluto-to-Sun transit has occurred which can motivate those in power to make a new start with ego as the primary motivation. Obviously, the US Pluto Return has completed previously (3x in 2022) and some evidence of authoritarianism is a potential with its handmaiden tyranny doing its part when necessary. For now I'll reserve my thoughts on the significance of only the Sun (POTUS) and Pluto (hidden manipulator) alone together in the political 10th house of this chart.

And since an Oath of Office is involved, check out 9th house Mercury @18Cap15, the position of the 'NWO' planets Uranus and Neptune when they met three times in 1993. Potentials are penned on the chart. Also note that Mercury opposes testy Mars Rx (at IC) @24Can23 conjunct the Syzygy Moon, the previous Full Moon (@23Can59, January 13, 2025), plus, Mars by transit conjuncts US natal Mercury in the Siby chart suggesting a fast pace of life and lots of verbal combat. (Hopefully anarchist Mars doesn't represent Mars-rising Trump still hanging around!) And you know the Sabian Symbol for '25 Cancer': "A Man Wrapped in an Invisible Mantle of Power," plus, US natal Pluto sits atop the Midheaven, aka, the Goal Point.

So we have issues of power, surveillance ('AI' - see Mercury), hidden control, and an iffy National Treasury with banker-general-politician-reverend-actor-broadcaster planet Jupiter Rx conjunct 2nd cusp (12:39) along with asteroid Midas @12:39. As you see, Jupiter here rules the corporate 8th house of debt, credit, and Shared Resources, plus 12th house via its Pisces cusp. Evaluating Venus, another money planet, is in shady Pisces, ruled by Jupiter, co-ruled by nebulous Neptune, so speculation, grand schemes, and currency issues are, as usual, involved. Additionally, this inauguration occurs during a Jupiter-Saturn square denoting a period of moral and/or ethical conflicts prominent within the public discourse.

Now the Solar Eclipse themes running in the backround of society are difficult issues of loss, separation, and possible injury (penned on the chart, 6th house, between South Node and the Moon, with the Libra/Aries polarity karmically intercepted across the 6-12).

Update August 4, 2021: I neglected to add to this post that "Cowboys" is a reference to the Splay shape of the planets in the eclipse horoscope, above, and its (rugged) individualism, within which should be included the 'up-by-boot-straps' self-reliance of America's 'cowboy ethic' that Reagan promoted and actor John Wayne demonstrated on film along with the other 'cowboy' movie and tv stars promoting superficial symbols of the concept. # UPDATE June 2, 2022: it has been pointed out that the above Inauguration Horoscope shows not a Splay shape (as my Solar Fire v9 software says) but a more concentrated BUCKET shape with the 6th house Moon as Handle, the point of focus; disturbingly, the Moon @18Libra conjuncts the natal Jupiter of Herr Tr*mp which reflects what could be an anti-democracy event - happy for him, his duped voters, and corporate enablers, tragic for the future of a free America.

Meanwhile, the cosmic weather on January 20, 2025 may be partially described by the double Air (mental) combination of Sun AQ-Moon Libra, a sociable and idealistic blend of energies. Tolerance and dignity are suggested along with social awareness yet to be effective, leadership must get involved with the practical considerations of others - of The People. If effectiveness is what is wanted, that is. Concerns will include issues of individualism and independent thought which are supported by the Splay shape of planets indicating those who promote the rugged 'cowboy ethic'. This blend is shared natally by Burt Reynolds, Edouard Manet, and author Boris Pasternak who helpfully asserted,

"As for the men in power, they are so anxious to establish the myth of infallibility that they do their utmost to ignore the truth."

You know - similar to The Pope, one of Pluto's many astrological identities.
