Vladimir Putin's first natal planet to rise is his Sun @13Lib55 closely followed by his sour Saturn (@17Lib27 - conjunct Herr Trump's natal Jupiter 17:27), then his Neptune-Mercury conjunction of fantasy and fallacy rises; meanwhile, Ingress 2022 Saturn conjunct Nemesis points toward Putin's natal North Node which suggests his lonely position, work that becomes steadily more difficult as time goes on (R. Is America Lost? Or Only Preparing to Rise?

Everyone knows the story of the Myth of the Island of Atlantis, its abuse, misuse, and overuse of power, sinking disastrously into the ocean, and at some glorious future point rising like a mythological phoenix from the ashes. So what do you think? Was the phoenix archetype played out on and after the attacks of 9/11? Did 'The Tower' Eclipse of 2018 add to the cosmic picture of a smoldering America, struggling to rise, with her rebuilding now hindered by adversarial authoritarians following a peculiar agenda?

Well, I must say that if 500 years is the measure of a mythological phoenix crashing, burning, and rising, then America at 256 years old in 2022 is only a little over halfway there!

Now astronomically, Atlantis #1198 was first discovered at the Heidelberg Observatory by astronomer Karl Reinmuth on September 7, 1931 with minor planet Atlantis Rx @27Pis52 and parallel science-oriented Uranus, planet of futurism and technology, then in Aries, and aka, the 'Sky God' in olden days. A parallel compares to a strong conjunction, as you know.

Plus, we've discussed Atlantis before on SO'W way back in 2017, the first year that Tr*mp was refusing to understand or honor the limits of his presidential power, breaking rules, traditions, and laws at every turn. Unrepentent, he got worse, as you know, and now refuses to keep his gob shut although a deposition or two may come along for him soon. If so, he'll probably clam up and hide behind the 5th Amendment. Someone should show him the mash-up videos of his multitude of criticisms of folks who plead the 5th Amendment - they're "mobsters," he said. Well, yes. So he will reveal himself to be, if he "pleads the 5th".

Feb 2022: Putin Takes Over the Chernobyl Reactor

Very few if any people are behind Vladimir Putin for sending soldiers into Ukraine on February 24, 2022 with a mission to - unbeknowst to the troops until they arrived there - kill their cousins. As part of mobster Putin's illegal war efforts, it has been reported that Russian troops have grabbed control of the non-operative Chernobyl reactor and this has caused a spike of radioactivity. Yet the accuracy of various news reports concerning this deranged nuclear situation will be difficult to sort out from false reports over the next days, weeks, months, but accuracy does appear in the dual horoscope image of the original Chernobyl Meltdown (upper right; April 26, 1986 1:23 am BADT; ASC 22Sag49 with accident-prone Uranus rising) and a Horoscope of the 6 North Solar Eclipse which perfected on April 9, 1986 @19Ari06 (lower left), its thematic energies running in the background of society as the Chernobyl reactor melted down. 6 North themes are listed below the image:

Now let's fast forward to 2022 in relation to Putin's ill-considered war against Ukraine (which has something like 15 other nuclear reactors around the country). A cosmic echo of historical events may be heard by sensitive ears because a 6 North Eclipse manifests once again on April 30, 2022 @10Taurus. If this suggests that similar events of 1986 may be 'spiked' by the repetition of 6 North themes in April 2022 and over the next few months, then unfortunately, this may be so. However, we should note that (KGB) Putin didn't take over Russia until May 2000.

Yet consideration must be given to the fact that as a cosmic blink from above, an eclipse is able to disrupt earthly events and cause changes of direction, as we know. And as a Universal wild card, an eclipse can have shocking effects similar to those of planet Uranus (with its link to Uranium), and with sudden accidents being one of the more prominent expressions, for as we see in the Meltdown Horoscope, unpredictable Uranus rises - and is also apex planet of the 'death axis' pair of Mars-Saturn, thus forming a midpoint picture which reveals potentials that we know were expressed: 'death; sudden accidents; a test of nervous strength; application of brute force' (R. Ebertin).

History Rhymes while Eclipses Repeat

Then if we look for guidance at past occurrences of 6 North solar eclipses (in order to be forewarned), we find that 6 North is the prenatal eclipse series ('PE') in which World War One began (horoscope shown) by a purposeful act of aggression, as is Putin's war against Ukraine. That Chernobyl radioactivity can threaten Europe and the world probably doesn't ruffle Putin's feathers in the least. For like his useful idiot Tr*mp, malevolent Vlad seems to be mad at the world.

Subsequently, we might also include the fact that a 6N eclipse manifested during the troubling times of the 1930s - specifically on March 7, 1932 @17Pisces. As it happened, the next solar eclipse to occur was in the 6 South Saros Series as what I have regretfully termed the Nazis Rise to Power Eclipse, termed as such due to historical events and conditions of the era. Curiously, Putin has cited Nazis in Ukraine as one of his justifications for aggression but from what I hear that's only a limited number of people with that persuasion. Tragically, America has them, too, they control most members of the GOP, and have infiltrated the US military and joined many if not all of US police forces.

So let us face the fact, dear reader, that evil, destructive forces have risen again and are precisely what the world now struggles against - and at this very moment, Ukraine and Russia are 'on the front lines' as authoritarianism brazenly attacks democracy.

Republicans, Moscow, Neptune, & Furry Foxes Yapping

Mystical Neptune is the planet closely associated with Russia (its 'totem planet' as Uranus is America's 'totem planet'), and perhaps you remember how a group of Republican Congressmen Skulked over to Moscow for the 4th of July, 2018, but they weren't in Russia to complain about Putin aiding Tr*mp in the November 2016 Election, oh no. They were there to say, no criticism for You, comrades. What else they divulged, I don't know. Intel? A financial pay-off? Uncertain. Perhaps a scandal will reveal some secrets left over from the July 2018 Jupiter-Neptune square on or around April 12, 2022 when a new cycle of the frothy pair begins (see the Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction link, below).

Now with Midterms 2022 arriving later this year on the very same day as a revealing Lunar Eclipse in Taurus, I freely admit to my culpability in 'renaming' the Republican Party with labels such as The Conspiracy Party, and worse. Well, to tell you the truth, it's been super easy to do because of their sorry behavior toward America, their disrespect for democracy and the US Constitution, their disdain for the American people, their neglect of the common good, their slavish adherence to figurehead Tr*mp - plus the fact that the political party of 1854 has now experienced its first-ever Neptune Return which has actually been a drawn-out five-fer of returns due to slow-moving planet Neptune's retrogradation periods. Follow the link to view the fifth of five returns which occurred on December 29, 2018 for it bookends the party's entire Return period begun in 2017, and includes the July 4th 2018 visit of the Republicans to Moscow (Senators Shelby, Johnson, Kennedy, Daines, Hoeven, Moran, and Thune, plus, Representative Kay Granger of Texas).

Of course, the exact dates of the party's Neptune Return/s depend upon which founding data is used to calculate the party's horoscope. For this, I've used the March 20, 1854 chart set for Ripon, Wisconsin with Neptune @14Pis01, a degree that evokes the symbol of "A Lady In Fox Fur," an appropriate word picture for the Murdoch-supported GOP, imho, with "foxy" being another word for cunning and seductive.

So of course, urge-to-merge Neptune, positively representing the Divine Source and humanity's higher inspiration faculty, negatively tends to be associated in this old world with deception, the Big Lie, fraud, corruption, rottenness, malicious schemes, loss, conspiracies, gaslighting, scandals, unreality, fakery, propaganda, photography/film, camera ops and special effects, spiritualism, poisons, toxins, all liquids, gas, oil, fumes, heists and thefts, speculation, inflation, bubbles, disguises, illusions and delusions, instability, dissolution, disappointment, and undermining activities of subversion such as sabotage and treason. Of course, contagious infections are Neptunian as well - as transit Neptune floating through its own sign of Pisces has tragically demonstrated.

And even now, with Putin's threat against Ukraine in the news and on the authoritarian's to-do list, Republicans and their talking heads in the far-right media are propagandizing that Putin can "smell" President Biden's "weakness," two more words inspired by Neptunian energies attempting to create instability and mistrust in society, in order to promote the GOP's ultimate goal of 'taking back' the House and Senate in November 2022, by all means necessary. A 'talking points' link between Putin and the GOP isn't difficult to imagine.

Now astrologically, you'll notice in the December 29, 2018 Horoscope linked, above, that the Sagittarian ASC is ruled by expansive boundary-breaker Jupiter, with 2018 Jupiter squaring Neptune - the Republican Party's Neptune. Astro-Notes concerning this transit are penned in the center of the chart and intended for the curious to read, if need be. Victimized by illusions is a pretty good description of the Jupiter-square-Neptune transit and of its results upon the party and its voters who believe - or pretend to believe - whatever conspiracy they like, no matter how outrageous. They imagine that there's a 'higher purpose' to all the deception and corruption they engage with and pass along, as if 'the ends justify the means'. But I say, this is fallacious.

So if you suspect that the April 12, 2022 Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction in secretive Pisces will be signficant for the Republican Party in its current Neptunian condition (and thus for America) as the new planetary cycle of the gaseous duo begins, then I'm glad to say we're on the same page, dear reader.

Horoscope: Election 2024 Solar Eclipse

Below is an image of the DC Horoscope of the 8 South Solar Eclipse which perfects on October 2, 2024 @10Lib03:48 and acts as the Prenatal Eclipse ('PE') of the 2024 Presidential Election. You'll find 8 South thematic influences listed, below. As you see, the chart is unmarked as per reader request (meaning that no astro-notes are scribbled on by yours truly - so you're almost completely on your own for the most part) and is set for Washington DC USA 2:49:01 pm EDT with 16Cap21 rising and 9Sco35 at Midheaven ('MC'; the Goal Point). This eclipse times, as it happens, what is basically a Lunar Return to the Inauguration 2017 Moon position (9Sco21), and as such, may not be a positive portent in 2024 for lovers of democracy.

Meanwhile, Saturn Rx rules the eclipse chart Ascendant and makes no applying aspects although there is a Venus-Saturn trine as part of a protective Water Grand Trine with Mars, suggesting a closed circuit of energies with karmic implications. However, a chart-ruler retrograde suggests delays and obstacles, things that old man Saturn is often 'in the bag for'. How the cosmic relationships of the trio might interfere with the results of the 2024 Election remains to be seen, but this reminds me of voter suppression and its unfair (erroneous) effects upon outcomes. So it seems that a Saturnian authority figure is beneficial to Venus and Mars yet there are delays involved. And 1st house Pluto at a critical 29th degree rises so we may not have to wait long once the eclipse energies kick in. But will transformative events relating to Pluto's power, control, manipulation, and wealth be too big to handle? An additional factor is that this position of eclipse Pluto conjoins America's Progressed Pluto position of 29Cap28, and '30Cap' = "Directors of a Large Firm Meet in Secret Conference" - and I'm sure they do and they will:

8 South Themes: 'separation and loss; partings; feeling sad about a completion; overstraining one's strength, injury possible' (paraphrasing B. Brady).

With a solar eclipse in Venus-ruled Libra, relationships, partnerships, and alliances are in the 'cosmic blink' spotlight; for karmic progress, fairplay, cooperation, and impartiality are required, while negative Venusian traits are best avoided such as insincerity, indecisiveness, spinelessness, and/or overindulgence; karmic ties with others are also part of the Libran lunation picture and at MC may harken back to that 2017 Inaugural Moon and its Sabian Symbol, "10Scorpio: "A Fellowship Supper Awakens Unforgettable Inner Ties". Ruh roh.

Of course, Venus here is in intense, passionate, betrayal-prone Scorpio, plus, both the planet and the sign relate to finances, currency, evaluation, and valuable items such as art or jewelry (and romance). Envy, jealousy, and possessiveness may be triggered by Venus at Goal Point while she opposes and rules the Taurean IC; eclipse Venus also rules radical anarchist Uranus Rx @26Tau51 - conjunct the vengeful star of rage and destruction, Algol. Herr Trump's disturbing involvement is suggested since Algol conjoins his natal MC, and because his 10th house Uranus, planet of chaos, revolt, and quirky cantankerousness is his guiding planet (aka, 'oriental' = last to rise before his natal Sun). Therefore, Uranus in intolerant, often greedy Taurus looks like the Uranian Tr*mp to me. Disagree as you wish but there it is.

As for major aspects to the Solar Eclipse, Mars @15Can46 squares the 8 South lunation suggesting those who overreact and rebel belligerently, and who misuse physical energies. And as you know, Mars in Moon-ruled Cancer tends toward emotional touchiness, anger, and rash actions. Positively, the Martian energy can be channeled into higher levels of motivation and action and this must be consciously done if the square is to block the negative themes of the 8 South Eclipse of 2024 while providing the dynamic energy to do so. Yet I'd be remiss not to mention that Mars @15Can46 in the eclipses's 6th house of Military, Police, Civil Service, Employment, and Health conjoins the natal Ascendant of the Pentagon (15Can34).

In addition, there's a significant minor aspect to the eclipse as well: a sesqui-square (135 degrees) from erratic Uranus which adds tangled complexity to conditions and events and contains a health connotation. Mercury conjunct the eclipse is also is a health indicator but its conjunction requires that logic, reasoning, and attention to detail be used in order for best results to occur.

US Solar Return 2022: Veils and Fantasies

America 2022+ Must Use Our Saturn-Uranus Trine!

Regretfully, I must report to you that a Moon-Neptune opposition in America's Solar Return 2022 Horoscope reveals that, for at least another year or so, our mass delusions and fantasy-world desires and schemes will continue to bedevil our reality, and will probably continue to be promoted by mass media outlets as long as it makes them money

Below is an excerpt from a December 2021 post discussing such disturbing mental and emotional conditions and subconscious images occurring within a percentage of our populace who labor under the spell of propaganda, mass hypnosis, mass psychosis, and with a willingness to be deceived by lies that support and promote deeply held emotional biases while not straining their thought processes overly much.

A Moon-Neptune Veil Within and Surrounding America

"Greater than all physical dangers are the tremendous effects of delusional ideas which are yet denied all reality by our world-blinded consciousness. Our much vaunted reason and boundlessly overestimated will are sometimes utterly powerless in the face of 'unreal' thoughts."

- Dr. Carl Jung, speaking about America which he identified as prone to societal breakdown "due to mass delusion" and this is where we find ourselves today - with enemies who take advantage of our weakened condition, purposefully made worse by saboteurs and propagandists who assault our "much vaunted" reasoning ability. You know the tale of America: founded upon ideas and reason. Plato's Ideal of a perfect society. Can men govern themselves without monarchs? It's being made unusually difficult with Moon-Neptune influences mucking things up at every turn and spreading conspiracy theories, fantasies, and confusion across the land. And curiously, certain politicians, what FDR called "economic royalists," prefer monarchy in the form of an authoritarian dictatorship in America. Personally, I very much doubt that if they got their way, such a dystopian government would be all they expect it to be.

Hour of Saturn (limits; consolidation); Chart-ruler Mercury makes no applying aspects but is prominent @00Cancer and rising in 1st house so Mercurial concerns will be in focus around the country and globally; transit Mercury turns Rx @8Lib55 in September in Return 5th house; meanwhile, the Ascendant @23Gem03 brings US Mars to the fore while the Midheaven ('MC") @00Pis04 sports our nation's Prenatal Solar Eclipse in the 12 South Saros Series (00Pis33) with themes of 'successful outcomes to longterm worries or illness; draining issues seem worse, then clear' (paraphrasing B. Brady). Could this suggest more improvement in the pandemic department of life? Hopefully, yes! And perhaps improvement in military realms, too. And who can't appreciate the Moon-Pluto trine's ability to lift people onto a plane of higher consciousness?

Yet we see that the Moon-Neptune opposition is Angular and thus significant across the 4/10 axis of Domestic Scene-Public Status in the signs of Virgo-Pisces, the victim-savior polarity. Furthermore, the Moon-Neptune opposition squares US Mars(irritability; sensitivity; weakening conditions) while the Moon @22Vir36 in her own 4th house reflects US natal Neptune which emphasizes America's Mars-Neptune square of 1776 while adding lunar vibes (We the People) to the ongoing 'clash of ideals' Neptune in Pisces opposition to US Neptune in the more fact-based sign of Virgo with its persecution implications (racial and civil). Plus, health indicators are present here, and elsewhere in the chart, yet let's hope that America's 12 South Eclipse at MC can spread a lot of positive influences around and thus provide a lift to societal conditions.

Now as you see, with US Sun (13Can19) in Solar Return 1st house, 2022 until our next Return in July 2023 will mark a significant year for development with US leadership in the spotlight and Cancerian business capacity on the rise, especially with Moon-ruled Cancer on the SR 2nd cu$p - as long as those frothy Moon-Neptune delusions, held by unstable and bad faith actors, are kept reasonably under control around financial deals and investments, and physically. Basically, we'll need to keep eagle eyes on our collective cookie jar!

Additional Considerations for America 2022 into 2023

So with all the recent talk of war and revolution within America's public discourse, thanks to saboteurs, global mobsters, craven political operatives, and manic insurrectionists, it seems significant to me that very near our country's July 4th Independence Day 2022, a symbolic new cycle begins which issues from the American Revolution Horoscope because a Secondary Progressed ('SP') New Moon perfects @00Cap41 on July 8, 2022. With a flurry of cosmic synchronicity, this SP New Moon lands upon one of the four Cardinal Points of World Manifestation, which, when stimulated, tends to time global events of major significance. Will this symbolic lunation do the trick on a global scale? If other indicators chime in by transit, arc, and/or progression, it certainly can act as a timing device (as progressed Moons tend to do), especially at what is considered a critical, highly senstized zero degree. For the most probability of actual events, Carter's Rule of Three will naturally apply.

Thing is, we've been wandering about in the dark for the last few years during the SP Balsamic Phase (prior to the perfection of a SP New Moon) in relation to the meaning of America, and the true significance of events and it will take a few years for the solar-lunar light to grow bright enough to fairly navigate by. Yes, it's true that difficult events lie ahead for the US, and for the world. But as is so often said, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Meanwhile, Americans must recognize and directly face our problems in the stark light of reality for it's the only way to conquer them so that we as a people can plough on through with the reasoning ability intact that our nation's Founders, inspired by the brilliant Saturn-Uranus trine of their day, bequeathed to We the People as our birth right. So that if enough of us use the beneficial energies, they may act as a bridge between the past and the present, providing inventiveness and common sense that can only be suppressed if we allow it to be!

So there's merely a quick look at US SR 2022 Horoscope potentials and, of course, there are more planetary factors to find, some mitigating negatives, some interfering with positives.

DC Horoscopes: The Eclipses of April and May 2022 (unmarked)

Below you see a bi-wheel of the April 30, 2022 Solar Eclipse @10Tau28 in the 6 North Saros Series, inner, with its themes of 'relationship to father figures, authority figures, or the need to take responsibility and control; commitments are presented, possibly due to another person's unreliability or illness' (paraphrasing B. Brady).

Outer is the DC Horoscope of the May 16, 2022 Total Lunar Eclipse @25Sco17 where we see the 'Marseillais Trio' of violence aligned (Mars-Neptune-Jupiter) but unlike their alignment during the French Revolution, expansive Jupiter here conjuncts the Cardinal Aries Point of World Manifestation after leaving shady Pisces where gaslighting Neptune and activist Mars continue to lounge and lurk; the Mars-Neptune conjunction perfects 2 days later on May 18, 2022 - and they are not the most reliable pairing of planets especially considering America's foggy Mars-Neptune square of 1776:

Therefore, April and May 2022 are colored by the intense, often financially inclined Taurus-Scorpio polarity (across the 2/8 axis in DC which includes the National Treasury) and suggests the signs' Venus-Mars-Pluto influences. To me it looks as if a multitude of secrets and inconvenient facts will be revealed or leaked under the 'cosmic blink' influences of one or both eclipses, and changes of direction may become necessary. However, we should note that solar eclipses in Venus-ruled Taurus time a period when reliability, perseverance, and determination are spotlighted along with the typical potentials for Taurean growth and development.

Negatively, rigid resistance to change and bullheadedness will continue to be perpetrated by malcontents, while positive efforts must be constant and must resonate with and satisfy actual needs if karmic progress is to be made in society. Now Taurus prefers stability, as you know, and its inflexibility can often be an asset so perhaps a sort of balancing act is what is suggested here along with a sense of moderation.

Naturally as a novice astrologer, Thom's question causes me to think back to recent times when the Republican Party experienced its first-ever Neptune Return, an extended period due to planet Neptune's retrogradation habit with exact return dates dependent upon which founding horoscope for the party one uses. Was the dissolution function of Neptune, planet of deception, lies, and fraud, a cosmic signpost on the road to the GOP's current merging into whatever the Hades it's become, nazi or otherwise, under figure-head mobster Tr*mp, his thugs, and wealthy puppet masters, both foreign and domestic?

Meanwhile, as the Cosmos would have it, April 2021 timed the Republican Party's Uranus Return with radical Uranus, planet of rebellion, change, reform, upheaval, anarchy, technology, and - futurism - in rigid Taurus, often a sign of intolerance and greed. Well, I have to say that major changes of and by the outer planetary pair of Uranus-Neptune is no superficial matter. Together, Reinhold Ebertin gives the duo quite a curious list of Correspondences as potentials, and I quote:

Additionally, Ebertin also gives the planetary pair Biological Correspondences which include heart failure, paralysis of rhythmic processes, and/or apoplexy of the brain. (Perhaps an uncaring cold-heartedness belongs on the list.)

Then we should also note that Uranus and Neptune are the 'Enlightenment Planets' of the 1700s ('The Age of Reason'; Science vs Faith), and in our era are associated with the 'new world order', aka, 'One World Government', a long-term plan of craven social meddlers. As you know, the two planets met in Great Conjunction three times all through 1993 @18Capricorn (18 to 20 degrees, actually), the degree area of the Zodiac which transit Pluto transformed in 2017 (arriving with Herr Tr*mp and his handlers) because a major midpoint picture was formed by the trio, one that has been mentioned multiple times in previous SO'W posts when societal conditions were not as stark and down-to-the-wire as they now are shown to be:

Uranus-Neptune = transit Pluto: "The big picture commands a certain course of action which must be followed; very little option to do otherwise" (Solar Arcs, Noel Tyl). Could that be a 'new world order' one supposes? A turn from democracy to authoritarianism? Here's my version of the 1993 NWO Horoscope set for October 24th Washington DC. Of interest is that the October 24th Sun in this chart will be eclipsed on October 25, 2022 with 6 South eclipse themes of 'being forceful, taking power' and 'exerting huge effort in group activity' (B. Brady). 6 South energy is known to be manic, so please be aware.

Well, an additional clue did appear when a new social order began when societal planets Jupiter and Saturn conjoined @00AQ29 on December 21, 2020 - conjunct US Inaugural Sun! Of course, a desperate Tr*mp was still playing at the role of POTUS then and Ebertin says the planetary trio's midpoint picture = change of residence and moodiness due to liver disturbance. But as you know, that's not all that disturbed the wide-girthed sore loser after the November 2020 presidential election and the Electoral College Vote in favor of Joe Biden on December 14th, the day of a difficult 4 South Solar Eclipse @23Sag08 manifesting near Tr*mp's separative Moon-SN conjunction of unpopularity when negatively expressed (childhood estrangement from Mama can do difficult things to a person).

So now in closing, I must add that there's no solace in the Sabian Symbol for 18 Capricorn although its negative expression does precisely describe the authoritarian mindset of the plutonian 'Republican' Party and their enablers of various persuasions: "smug or strong-armed paternalism."

A Look at Ole Man Trump's Saturn Return in Progress

When considering planets that affect Politics, politicians, and society, mundane Saturn is prominent on many levels. The karmic planet's restrictive function activates within many realms of life including financial matters and lawmaking, with Saturnian reality and what should be maturity undergirding it all as Saturn the taskmaster demands that rules be upheld. Either positively or negatively, lessons will be forthcoming and a Saturn Return times such life lessons for us all, even for a scofflaw like Trump.

Jettisoned from the White House on January 20, 2021, Saturnian folk now attempt to hold the out-of-control Herr T accountable for his past actions, which now must include his brazen theft of items and records from the White House as he skulked out the door, records which belong in our National Archives where Saturnian presidential records are traditionally kept. Predictably, it's always with the retaliation and revenge by ace grudge-holder, Trump, with his natal Mars rising opposing the US Moon of We The People!

Meanwhile, America's enduring of a Trump regime with all its scofflaw effects upon Saturnian laws and traditions compelled yours truly in 2018 to take a look at the man's Saturn Return and its influences as he ran and grabbed the White House (2015--2017), then exhibited his clumsy, kleptocratic form of Saturnian control and responsibility while playing a thespian's role as "POTUS" (2017--2021). And while he may deny it, you and I both know that accountability must come along with Saturn's authority figure and manager roles yet Mr. Trump 'doesn't do so well' on those scores, as a majority of Americans can agree. Then his resounding political loss in November 2020 told the tale even though he has yet to admit his election drubbing, with 'loss' as another Saturnian concept along with flaws, blockages and obstacles.

We may also note that the Sabian Symbol of his Saturn degree ('24Cancer') when negatively expressed is, "a devastating sense of ineptitude and estrangement from reality" (Jones). Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square with its fantasy-world spinning and tendency toward deception and malicious scheming aids him mightily in his drive to escape reality. However --

Will Legal Eagle Saturn Have the Final Smirk?

So! All this to say that in September 2018, I published here The Saturn Return of Mr. Trump: Authority Challenged which displayed the third of three of his Saturn Return Horoscopes of May 24, 2005. 'Good for' 28 to 30 years, we can divide the three-fer time frame into approximately 9-to-10-year increments in relation to life phases, his starting in 2004. Doing this suggests that he's now acting within the second decan (10 years) of his current Saturn Return until sometime during election year 2024. Then the third phase begins and contains influences from the YOD pattern, see below.

Now in 2022, a determined (and desperate to escape accountability) Herr Trump continues to have trouble with his Saturnian functions and refuses to give up what he deems to be a continuation of his 'authority' and 'control' of the White House as he expresses from way down in Mar-A-Lago what he considers to be his political power. Cultishly, minions and thugs continue to do his will though some of the smarter ones have dropped away.

Oh Look! It's a Plutonian YOD Pattern

So to me, this absurd, engineered condition of authoritarianism within the US power structure points out the critical importance of Mr. Trump's Saturn Return which was actually a three-fer affair that became exact on September 4, 2004, *January 14, 2005 (Rx; see below), and, as noted in the 2018 horoscope linked above, May 24, 2005. Then if we consider recent events such as the Electoral College Vote for his rival Joe Biden on December 14, 2020, the day of a difficult 4 South Solar Eclipse @23Sag08 ('strong emotions over money and/or relationships' - B. Brady), plus, the violent events of January 6, 2021 intended to keep power in his tiny, grabby hands, it seems more than a little interesting that Trump's third return chart of May 24, 2005 shows a YOD pattern (crisis, turning point, crossroads, special task, and/or karmic/spiritual opportunity) with a Mercury-Saturn sextile at its base. Note that a Mercury-Saturn sextile suggests setting priorities, managing resources, and/or chafing against restrictions (which he does so well). Of course, this marks a Mercury-sextile-natal-Saturn transit for Trump indicating a favorable time to prepare future plans, and - a warning here - perhaps an opportunity to receive recognition of his authority and experience.

So which is the third planet sitting at apex of the YOD? Why, power-craving Pluto Rx @23Sag41 in Trump's Return 2nd hou$e. And significantly, this happens to be the degree of the 4 South Electoral College Vote Eclipse of December 14, 2020. Negatively speaking, such a plutonian/eclipse influence represents serious karmic setbacks and criminal offenses. Well, yes. We've noticed.

Now my suspicion is that the Mercury-Saturn-Pluto vibrations of the YOD pattern within the realms of Saturnian authority and accountability are what Mr. Trump can expect going forward and its potentials could very well affect him in the 2024 Election, if the 'flight risk' runs for office at all. For if legal eagle Saturn has his way, by 2024 or before Trump may be running in the opposite direction from Washington DC.

So let's read the YOD's trio of planets as a midpoint picture to see what possibilities are suggested:

Mercury-Saturn = Pluto: 'brooding over one's destiny; grappling with unusual problems' (R. Ebertin); 'serious incidents provoke questioning official communications'; 'ending business with others due to communications breakdowns' (M. Munkasey); 'contemplating loss; fearing wipe-out; abandonment; feeling resourceless' (N. Tyl).

Well, I don't know about you, dear reader, but I can think of more than one of these potentials which apply to the authoritarian Mr. Trump, a fellow who can hardly be described as representing the ideal of a man who takes karmic Saturn's demands seriously enough to satisfy them - but perhaps we should count the fact that, at the ripe old age of 75 going-on-76, he is most definitely, and not very much more than, an old man.
