April 2015 Timeline: the arrest and death of Freddie Gray
Crisis of Confidence: Can Mars Rx Protect and Serve Americans?
A timeline provided by the Baltimore Sun tells yet another tragic American tale of undue force or negligence by police officers against our citizens. After "making eye contact" Baltimore, Maryland's Freddie Gray (born 1990) ran from police officers beginning at 8:39 am edt on April 12, 2015, was arrested at 8:40 am and transported in a police wagon toward Central Booking (though he had done nothing illegal--he ran while black). Mr. Gray was ultimately taken to Shock Trauma arriving at 10:00 am where he remained until April 19, 2015 and where double surgeries were performed on his severed spinal cord. Mr. Gray continued in coma condition and succumbed to his injury or injuries expiring at approximately 7:00 am EDT on Sunday April 19, 2015.
Six Baltimore police officers involved have been charged in relation to Freddie Gray's arrest and subsequent fatality from injury while in police custody.
The police-state style tragedies that continue to 'make the news' have reminded me of America's natal Mars in Gemini (1776) turning retrograde @18 Libra in 2006, the exact date of the Rx station depending on which US natal horoscope is used. This uncomfortable, frustrated, distorted condition for active, energetic, forceful Mars has been problematic for our nation even before 2006 as policing Mars prepared to stop forward movement through the Zodiac and symbolically turn its energies inward--against the American people.
As you know, Mars is in detriment when in Libra for Libra is opposite Mars-ruled Aries across the Self-Other axis of Relationship; therefore, the action principle of Mars is somewhat limited by a need for cooperation from others which adds to the frustration of its Rx condition. Males between the ages of 25 and 35 (give or take a year) are represented by Mars as are police officers and men Freddie Gray, age 25, may also be described as being in varying states of frustration and limitation.
And so our citizens continue to suffer indignities, injuries, and untimely deaths such as the arrest and demise of Freddie Gray, the latest in-the-news victim of a police-related event. For with America engaged in perpetual war it seems to me a given that even without our national Mars Rx in Venus-ruled Libra we would be drenched with images and circumstances of violence, death, and mayhem as fiery Mars overhead reflects events and conditions below and the entertainment and gaming industries chime in with constantly more gory, depraved story lines. As the moral weakening of our population proceeds as planned, someone's gotta get those ratings and sales quotas!
Chart Angle Clues: The What, Where, How, and Why of Freddie Gray's Arrest
My sincere hope is that the family members of Freddie Gray won't mind if I discuss here a horoscope for April 12, 2015 at 8:40 am EDT Baltimore (Gray's arrest) for I would not wish to add to their pain in any way...my motivation is to understand.
With that in mind, here are what I consider to be a few significant chart factors:
Rising we find Venus @1Gem01 with 4Gem02 on the Ascendant, and note that 3 Gemini is a critical degree, and is also "The Garden of the Tuileries" degree in Sabian Symbols which links to violence. Mars, signifying on one level police officers, is in stubborn, intolerant Taurus, sign of the neck and throat, and sadly we must note that Mr. Gray's spinal cord injury was in the neck area. Mars @8Tau43, Mercury @25Ari54 ("eye contact"), and the Sun @22Ari17 are all in the 12th house of secret enemies, karma, self-undoing, politics, and large institutions such as prisons. It has been reported that Freddie Gray had been arrested several times previously for possession (of drugs, one assumes) so a fear of incarceration would be an understandable motivation for running away from potential interrogation and arrest. That, and Baltimore's history of oppressive policing which in this case has been ruled an "illegal arrest".
Disruptive Uranus @16Ari47 has just left 12th house and entered its own Aquarian 11th house of Groups and Associations. Uranus in Mars-ruled Aries is the quite the zealous anarchist (Ebertin) and being oriental (last to rise just before the Sun) requires adventure, variety, freedom, and/or danger within the work environment (Tyl.) Also in 11th house are the South Node @9Ari55, a Saturnian point of separation, and wounded Chiron @19Pis22, unaspected and thus disconnected from the other actors (planets) in the chart which makes its energy undiluted.
In addition, if we allow a point rather than three planets in a pattern, there is a YOD (crisis; crossroad; turning point) between a Mars-Neptune sextile pointing toward NN @9Lib55 in the 5th house of Risk-Taking, Gambling, Creative Pursuits, Romance, and Children. Mars-Neptune hints at exploitation, harm, paralyzed activity (a severed spinal cord can do it as can illegal--Neptune--arrest--Mars), and/or possible drug use; with the NN of fated encounters we have potentials for negative attitudes, a weak will, or sense of suspicion. And of course, YODs tend to have health implications as well.
Ascendant = What? Now I know of the dark side of archetypal Venus, veins, venom, cravings, jealousy and all, but to see Venus in light-hearted Gemini rising made me feel sad at the image of a young man standing on a city street possibly engaging in social chatter with what may have been a lady friend--certainly a friend, acquaintance, or even a sibling--when suddenly fear arrives in the form of police officers intent on accosting him...for what? Having a legal-to-carry knife in his pocket (assuming it wasn't planted on him during the arrest--wonder if the knife--not a switchblade as some sources erroneously reported--is known to have been his)? Was something else on his person which would again get him in trouble? Was the presence of Venus more venal than a social chat--was sex solicitation involved? (I'm only typing out loud here with such questions.)
Starkly, there is restrictive, authoritative Saturn @4Sag15 Rx setting at the Descendant (Partnerships) and opposes rising Venus, an aspect which hints at financial hardship, miserly bosses, low-wage employment, a sense of duty in relationship, and/or relationship difficulties or separations. On a societal level, the ongoing Saturn-Neptune square continues its 'social responsibilities are burdens' routine of whining and we hear pundits and citizens assessing the ill effects of urban neighborhood blight and lack of economic opportunity for minorities and the poor and working classes while the murder of Freddie Gray once again spotlights such problems for all the world to see--as if the world hasn't already seen Americans being marginalized and oppressed by a growing Plutocracy class. Much is being made of the vast sums of money sent to city neighborhoods and their failing schools which makes me want to demand of our politicians where the money went--name and incarcerate the embezzlers, investigate the 'middle men', please!
Now if we look to the Why? Point of the April 12th chart, the Midheaven (MC), we see 11AQ19 there, Neptune @8Pis51 in the public 10th house, and two planetary midpoints conjunct MC which may help shed more light upon this saddening event being too often repeated in similar cases across the country. Yet actions and oppressive policies of certain police departments may finally be re-viewed in depth and re-calibrated with US Mars re-trograde. This would be a positive outcome, as you may agree, and We the People must continue to insist upon it.
Now the first midpoint at MC is between old order Saturn, the traditional ruler of Aquarius, and new order Uranus, what some call the modern ruler of the sign. (I call Uranus the higher octave of Saturn.) Therefore, two midpoint pictures are formed by Saturn-Uranus (rebellion, provocation, tension; curtailment of freedom or the fear of it; violent people) and the second midpoint, Neptune-Pluto (a speculative use of force, control of the masses, organized crime or criminal elements, drugs and the craving of them, whims, tricks, illusions, fraud, falsehoods, the supernatural, peculiarities, obsessions, presentiments, manias, grievous loss, concerns about death matters, self-torment) at MC.
Here are the planetary midpoint potentials when having the MC angle as an outlet for the expression of their combined energies and adding in planet Jupiter @12Leo36 (still at its Direct Station degree of April 8) in opposition and conjunct IC, the How? Point and indicator of Endings; how or to whom the potentials may or may not apply to I shall leave for you to consider:
Saturn-Uranus = MC: break away from the old; separating from others; making the highest demands upon one's strength; rebellion. Opposing Jupiter: the misfortune to get into difficulties; losses; damage to buildings (which came later); adaptation to every situation; a sudden turn in destiny...for everyone concerned.
Neptune-Pluto = MC: self-knowledge; mystical peculiarities; high spiritual aspirations; worldly revolutions; being noticed by others; adjusting personal ambitions; pushing ahead to make life better for those you care for. Opposing Jupiter adds: an increased need to find a better way to spend your life; improvement of your mental state by neglecting others; expanded desire to enjoy a better future; social or political pressure (arrest quotas?); religiousness; a peace-loving disposition (Venus in Gemini?); sectarians.
As for the Moon (physical body; moods and trends) in Saturn-ruled Capricorn, sign of law, business, and government--and ambition--we find Luna in 9th house @27Cap03, the precise degree of America's natal Pluto, planet of obsessive control, subversion, and assassination. The Moon-Pluto pair denotes such potentials as emotional upheavals and shock, the pursuit of selected objectives with fanatical zeal and their attainment without any regard for other people (police policies and arrest quotas?), impulsive actions, offended vanity or conceit, deep but one-sided feelings; encouragement of violence or crime; public feelings about crime; obsessions which bring misuse of available resources; conflicting feelings about using violence as a means of control; public relations, and more.
And of course, transit Pluto now plods through Capricorn, breaking down systems of law, government, and business, toppling leaders and heads of state, and transforming societies as Mr. Underworld slowly returns to his original degree in America's natal horoscope (27Cap33). Yippee.
Now these are only the chart factors that 'popped out' at yours truly as I looked at the arrest horoscope and you are certain to find others and to disagree with my assessment. However, I shall attempt to sum up my What? (ASC), Where? (Desc), Why? (MC) and How? (IC) analysis of the illegal arrest of Mr. Freddie Gray, then add a sad note or two concerning his death based on a chart set for April 19, 2015 7:00 am EDT Baltimore, MD.
What? Venus in chatty Mercury-ruled Gemini rising: Freddie Gray arrested.
Where? Authority and law-imposing Saturn in Sagittarius, ruled by freedom-loving Jupiter = off to Central Booking in leg shackles...lock up!
Why? see Saturn-Uranus and Neptune-Pluto = MC, above.
How? by Jupiter in Leo, ruler of the 8th house of Death, opposing the above midpoints and denoting severe policies implemented and enforced for political and ideological reasons and which lead to family disruptions (4th house) and, in this case, the threat of loss of freedom, and death--by neglect or design--with an angular Jupiter expanding such tragic potentials.
By April 19, 2015, a hospitalized Freddie Gray had been through two surgeries to no avail. He lost his struggle at about 7:00 am on that date with 10Tau44 rising (neck and throat) along with Mercury @9Tau22 and Mars @13Tau46 snugged about the Ascendant. Mercury-Mars = crime and violence in the news, angry opinions expressed (on behalf of a victim unable to speak for himself--Mars severs, Mercury communicates and reports), involvement in lawsuits. Their combined energies at ASC = turbulent or stormy proceedings.
The 12th house Moon had left Capricorn and passed through Aquarius, Pisces, and Aries, joining Mercury and Mars in Taurus on that morning (8Tau13 conjunct 'arrest' Mars). The Sun is at a critical-crisis 29th degree of Aries as his vitality (Sun) ended having just passed the 28Ari25 lunation of April 18th at 2:57 pm EDT, a New Moon. Note that the 3-day lead-up prior to a New Moon is a darkened phase when shady or secluded things may occur, and endings and separations tend to happen as a new cycle of activity is about to begin. And note that a significant New Moon in a mundane chart can act in similar fashion to a disruptive Solar Eclipse--both are New Moons (Ovason).
Now since death horoscopes tend to have certain planets at angles of the chart, here we see malevolent Mars rising at the Ascendant in Taurus, the sign of throat and neck, along with the Taurean Moon, plus, a Taurean Mercury the Messenger in attendance as well. Notably, the 8th house of Death is ruled by Jupiter which is placed in the 4th house of End of Life and ruled by the Moon. Venus, formerly the rising planet, is now @9Gem04 conjunct the 2nd house cusp and asteroid Midas. Once again I shall leave it for you, dear reader, to decide the implications of such a placement in what seems to be the wrongful death of Mr. Freddie Gray.

US Police Forces: thwarted and distorted by Mars Rx
Depending on which of several horoscopes we use for America's founding and its hour ascending (Sag ASC in the 5:00 pm range, Scorpio rising in the 2:22 pm range, July 4, 1776 = Independence) we find our national Mars (police, military, males in general, etc) turning retrograde by Secondary Progression in 2006--in July or September of that year. This inward-turning, distorted condition for our Mars, warring planet of energy, action, and motivation, will continue for approximately 80 years, or, 71 years from 2015.
Note that the same progressed condition of natal Mars occurred for Germany in years past.

Now an SP Mars Rx is full of frustration, tension, and authority issues and denotes revolutionary actions such as riots, protests, and attacks on US soil, curfews and police and National Guard forces employed to control a discontented public and the few violent actors (some of whom may be 'plants' or 'black shirts' paid to discredit peaceful protesters and their causes and divert from real issues), self-directed mayhem such as committing arson in one's own neighborhood (ex: Baltimore), the famously touted concept of "black on black" crime, the Pentagon supplying America's police departments with military-grade weapons and equipment to use against the populace, the massive incarceration of American citizens for non-violent crimes, a lack of arrests for white-collar power elite crooks, and other conditions, situations, and bad ideas that I'm certain you can name.

Since Loretta Lynch was finally confirmed by the US Senate as US Attorney General on April 23, 2015 after the longest wait for confirmation in US history, I peeked at her natal planets (May 21, 1959, Greensboro, NC, birth hour unknown so I'm using noon) and was little surprised that a significant transit was in progress: Jupiter stationed direct upon her natal Uranus @12Leo39 on April 8, 2015. Astrological Jupiter on one level represents politicians and legal matters and natal Uranus denotes genius and change, and by sign, how a native behaves.
In soon-to-be-sworn-in Attorney General Lynch's case, the sign of her natal Uranus is Sun-ruled Leo (leadership; pride) and a planetary stationing upon a natal planet designates a very strong emphasis on matters related to the planets involved. Uranus can also be a disruptive influence and there are indications in her natal chart and the transits of her confirmation-vote horoscope that tradition and the upholding of it (or not) will be one of themes during her term as Attorney General. With Jupiter to Uranus, certain skids are greased in the realms of Politics, Finances, and Group Causes and Activities. It's a very inspiring transit full of newness and promise and if negative factors don't interfere overmuch, she will benefit in her new position from the independence and freedom Jupiter suggests for both planets insist upon freedom.

Of interest during the Senate vote for her confirmation which was scheduled for 2:00 pm or so Thursday (4.23.15), her natal Pluto @1Virgo was rising then--the planet of power, transformation, stealth, and wealth. The TPP, Senator Elizabeth Warren, and Modernizing the WTO
Brief Planetary Considerations on Trade 1995--2015

Did you see Alex Manson's article of April 20, 2015 in the Wall Street Journal about Modernizing the WTO?
Mr. Manson writes that the trade organization has to "adapt if it wants to stay relevant" which seems a notable topic for a newspaper article considering the current tussle over the President Obama's insistence on Fast Track Authority so that the Trans-Atlantic Partnership (#TPP) can be shoved through Congress with the public kept in the dark over its provisions and threats to US workers, environmental protections, national sovereignty, and who-knows-what other serious changes to our world.
Just ask Senator Elizabeth Warren about Fast Track and the TPP. She says You Can't Read This because the American public wouldn't like the TPP at all if we knew what's in it and I must agree. If the TPP is so great why can't we know about it before it becomes law, replaces US laws, and gives international corporations an even stronger hand of disenfranchisement against workers?
Lawmakers on Capitol Hill can read the TPP--in private but then they cannot discuss its details and that alone should make anyone suspicious. And some say that the majority of the TPP's text has nothing to do with trade!
Well, on a similar topic I took look today at a founding horoscope for the World Trade Organization (WTO) since it supposedly has oversight over international trade deals, a duty which is possibly now abandoned. WTO's founding date is January 1, 1995 and since I have no specific hour, one of the charts I'm reading is symbolically set for the New Moon @10Cap33 that morning at 11:55:38 am CET Geneva, Switzerland, location of WTO headquarters. Naturally the 2-3 days leading up to the New Moon was a dark time when shady things go bump in the night!
Note that the WTO's 10Cap solar-lunar degree naturally conjoins the United Kingdom's natal Sun of Jan 1, 1801 (UK natal Moon 19Can26 in 10th house 12:00 am London, UK--Campion).
And since the WSJ article (linked above) about modernizing the WTO was published on April 20, 2015 at 12:44 pm ET, I set up that horoscope in order to view current transits to the WTO chart of 1995. Here are the primary transits now in progress with a focus on conjunctions to the New Moon chart of 1995 which has Cardinal Points of Prominence angular: 1Ari21 rising and 00Cap37 at Midheaven (MC):
2015 Neptune conjunct WTO Saturn @8Pis01 (in 12th house of Politics and Back Room Deals), a time when traditions and structures may disintegrate and circumstances (TPP = a new sheriff in town?) require a new approach to the handling of authority). Another transit is that of Saturn Rx to natal Jupiter @4Sag49 (in natal 8th house of Corporatism, Big Business, and Transformation) which times a period with the retrograde of Saturn when prosperity and growth may be restricted; a slower return for the WTO's efforts may be expected and some wealth, knowledge, and/or power may have to be shared and spread around.The last conjunctions in this brief consideration of the WTO natal chart involves transformative Pluto, the saboteur and spy, now at 15Cap32 Rx. Powerful Pluto, planet of hidden wealth in secret places, is poised among the WTO's natal Sun, Moon, Mercury (21Cap10), Neptune (22:35), and Uranus (25:29) and will be there for the next few years. I am assuming that the WTO will continue to exist, of course.
Pluto to natal Sun and Moon, then Mercury, marks an extended period of turmoil and transformation of power and goals with ego being the driving motivation for most actions. Knowledge will make a difference in retaining one's power with ideas and plans becoming more intensely focused and previous concepts altered to allow for more relevance. Calls for modernization echo this requirement in order to increase the organization's influence.
When transit Pluto reaches natal Neptune (fresh off its Great Conjunction/s with Uranus three times in 1993 = new world order, or, Global Government which is what I believe the WTO and the TPP are all about), the WTO may expect an erosion of power via undermining forces which are difficult to detect. Sabotage, perhaps cyber, and/or newer systems may replace or greatly change the WTO's structure, methods, and traditions (all this planetary stimulation by Pluto is occurring in the structural status quo sign of Capricorn).
Pluto is within orb (5 Degrees) of natal Neptune in January 2017 and first conjoins the nebulous planet of fraud, deception, and corruption in early 2019. With WTO's natal Uranus @25Cap29, transit Pluto enters its electrical vicinity for the first time ever in February 2018 and perfects its first conjunction in 2020:
Pluto to natal Uranus will mark a period of technological advances which will deeply affect the WTO agenda and its business concerns and jobs related, or part of, federal or national programs. Popular protests may erupt in response to government actions with freedom and independence as topics of concern--as they are now with the secretive TPP deal being swept along no matter how We the People express concern and suspicion.
As a panacea for TPP critics once Fast Track Authority is gained, a 60-day period of public comment is promised and may be timed by political and financial planet Jupiter in Leo reaching its shadow degree (where investing Jupiter turned Rx on December 8, 2014) and passing it (early July 2015) and, barring political or planetary obstructions, this change of direction denotes forward movement on several financial and political levels, all of which will affect the lives of people in the United States and in other nations as well.
Yes, we're mired in a new-world-order swamp, folks, and no one in Washington DC is telling the complete truth of what the corporate globe-knitting embedded within the TPP really intends.

Horoscope: Modern Humanity
A natal horoscope for Modern Humanity (our era) may be timed by the Solar Eclipse of April 26, 1892 during the Great Conjunction of Neptune and Pluto in Gemini. The chart is published here on SO'W for anyone's future reference such as transits and progressions that affect its natal planets, angles, and other house cusps; some US natal placements are penned around the chart:
Hour of Mercury Rx in 7th house of Partnerships and Open Enemies; Cardinal/Earth strong; Angular. Tech genius Uranus rises in 1st house signifying such advances as Smartphones while conjoining US Progressed Saturn Rx @3Scorpio. Chart-ruler Venus @22Gem31 is posited in the 9th house of Philosophy, Religion, Foreign Lands and Long-Distance Travel and makes two applying Ptolemaic (major) aspects:
First, Venus squares Saturn Rx @24Vir00 in the 12th house of Politics, Large Institutions, Back Rooms, Karma, Self-Undoing, and Secret Enemies which denotes regrets over lack of money, wishes that once achieved may be disappointing, and neglect of burdens and responsibilities. Imitations of 'the real thing' may be prevalent and worry, anxieties, and obsessions too often permeates thinking particularly in relation to legal matters, relationships, and of course, finances. A preference for isolation and solitude may be noted and an antisocial quality is emphasized.
The only-planet-out-of-bounds condition of Venus, planet of relationships, romance, money, and evaluation, increases the isolation vibes of the horoscope and the general condition of humanity. (Munkasey). And of course, Mars (males) is in the 4th house of Domestic Scene which hints strongly at domestic disputes. Battles in Foreign Lands (I'm typing as an American, of course, since I am one) are also implicated by Venus and US natal Mars in 9th house--religious battles hardly describes the ongoing, centuries-long East vs West contest that now threatens all of civilization.
Another factor of interest is that the Solar Eclipse @7Tau05 conjoins a midpoint so we have this picture: Mercury-NN = Sun = Moon. The Mercury-NN (North Node, a point of encounter and destiny) involves mixed potentials for: new corridors of transportation, inefficient transportation methods, coordinated joint efforts, theft of material or information, and/or smuggling or other unlawful activities that use transportation systems.
Mercury-NN also relates to the Media, discussions and conferences, and joint plans. With Sun and Moon there we see potentials for the enhancement of communications, a focus on the importance of messages, details meant for the general public, locating people to gather information (GPS; NSA surveillance, etc), reactions about how others use information or data, using associates to research and/or disseminate info, intellectual associations, a desire to tell other people our troubles and to share thoughts and ideas (Munkasey; Ebertin). Naturally, tech advances and social networking come to mind.
Curiously, the Solar Eclipse @7Taurus conjoins fixed star Schedir (alpha Cassiopeia; demonic power), The Queen, which implies a nod to the super-wealthy British monarchy. The eclipse is in the 2 Old North Saros Series with themes of personal relationships (more Venus-Mars battle-of-the-sexes vibes), unfortunate news, separations, partings, and glumness though results may turn out more positively than they first appeared (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology).
Also notable is the inconjunct (quincunx) between the two societal planets, Jupiter and Saturn from 6th house of Work, Health, and Service (Military, Police, Civil, etc). Of course, Saturn is in Virgo, the sign of Work of a Dedicated Variety and here it's working behind the scenes or in isolation. Jupiter plays many roles suitable for the planet of increase and expansion and wears the hat of The General when wars are waged. Their inconjunct signifies adjustments that need to be made between the principles of expansion and Saturnian restriction along with feelings of being burdened by responsibilities, neglecting duties, and guilt for past indiscretions and bitterness over binding restrictions. A need for moderation in all things such as diet and a healthy focus on exercise is highlighted by the Jupiter-Saturn inconjunct.
And since US natal Saturn (14Lib48) is rising in this chart (which emphasizes America's natal Sun-Saturn square on the Angles) we find that the tradition of political checks and balances that our nation has always touted to the world is on the modern menu and is being neglected and undermined on several levels--and tossed into the dustbin of history, if certain anti-government, anti-democratic politicians and their billionaire backers have their way.
And then there's starry Sirius at the top of the chart (MC 13Can46; The Goal) conjoined by US natal Sun (July 4, 1776; the president) and asteroid Panacea (illusions of cures). Has our cult-of-personality presidency been meant to calm and distract the public concerning America's true and ultimate goal of establishing a Global Government based on Zionism?
Well, in relation to Politics, Sirius (the mundane becoming sacred) one one level is a symbol of Venusian goddess worship (as America's Founding Fathers well knew and practiced in various ways--see the stars and architecture of Washington DC for clues--the District is simply lousy with horoscopes, Zodiacs, the sign Virgo, and symbols of Venus, Isis, Ceres) and with the mystical pair of Neptune and Pluto in the 8th house of The Occult (aka The Hidden, or Metaphysical Studies and Practices) we may expect a myriad of mysteries to continue along with research into them (#rabbitholes of distraction!)

Sun-Pluto and Jeb Bush: is Virgo Rising or Sagittarius?
Typing Out Loud Concerning the Natal Chart of Jeb Bush and the 2016 Campaign

John Ellis Pierce 'Jeb' Bush was born in Midlands, Texas on February 11, 1953. Tap or click to read about the two versions of his natal horoscope with one birth time rectified by Isaac Starkman for 2:28:16 am CST with Sagittarius rising while the usual chart is set for 8:50 pm CST (RR: A; From Memory) with Virgo rising.
If a Sag Ascendant is correct this places Virgo at Midheaven (MC), the Career and Public Status point of any horoscope; a Virgo Ascendant places Gemini at MC. With a Sag Ascendant, Jeb Bush's chart ruler is Jupiter; with Virgo rising, it's Mercury which also rules his MC. One planet relates to Politics, Religion, Philosophy, and Wealth while Mercury rules Communication, Intellect, Trade, and Commerce. He does look a bit studious in a Mercurial way yet his Jupiterian wealth (natal Jupiter in Taurus, sign of Money and Greed) cannot be ignored.
So which is his correct birth time? Well, I haven't worked with either chart enough to have a definite opinion! Have you? And frankly I'd hoped that studying his horoscope because of a presidential run would never be necessary. Perhaps it won't be necessary as campaign 2016 proceeds yet his Aquarian Sun is linked to America's natal Moon in Aquarius as several previous presidents' Suns have been.
Well, no matter the hour of this Mr. Bush's birth, a few chart factors are clear and one of them relates closely to Politics and the seeking of power: natal Sun (23AQ) opposes Pluto (22Leo) across the Leo/AQ Will Power axis. In the 8:50 pm chart (Virgo Rising) their opposition falls within the 5/11 houses which echos and supports the Leo/AQ implications--Sun in 5th house of Speculation, Pluto in 11th house of Associations, Hopes, and Wishes.
Individuals born with a Sun-Pluto opposition tend to resort to extreme measures in competitions such as with his Governorship of Florida during the 2000 campaign when he and brother Dubya were video taped saying that the presidential election was, "--in the bag" if memory serves. And if you know a few of them, you may know that Sun-Pluto-opposition folks may strike first in an effort to protect themselves and pretend that threats don't exist if their confidence should wane. They prefer 'sure things' and may alienate others due to their extremist temperaments, opinions, and behavior; a defiant will is usually present (Pelletier).
Curiously, Jeb Bush's Sun-Pluto aspect has allowed him the insight and maturity to 'stand on his own' which is precisely what he has asserted--that he's "his own man" and not a replica of his father or brother. The opposition has helped him develop inner authority and the self-assurance to accomplish his own objectives independently once life's lessons of cooperation and tolerance with others were learned.
Now none of this is conclusive as far as Bush winning the American presidency in 2016 and his supporters may credit his strong Sun-Pluto nature to possessing the energy needed just to want to gain the White House. However, I can state unequivocally now that Mr. Bush will not receive my vote in November 2016 for many reasons, one of which is that two Bushs in the White House were two too many for me--and both began Gulf wars to promote Global Government objectives; own man or not, Jeb if selected will continue The Plan as must anyone who is elevated to play the presidential role of America's mouthpiece, the one who uses the 'Bully Pulpit', as they say.
Mais non! I also do not care to vote for Hillary Clinton for several reasons, one of which is the heavy Clinton baggage We the People will have to bear ad nauseum, a Republican tactic already being employing (Bill back in the White House? Arghh!) Distracting? Not to me. For don't you agree that it's very late days to rehash old crimes and scandals when present and future problems and issues of our nation are banging loudly at the door and threatening to evict us from our principles and freedoms...and each new script-following president is the same as the old ones anyway?
After all, America is known to be ruthless, intimidating, and power-grabbing across the globe and seemingly it was destined to be that way for if you use any versions of our nation's horoscope for July 4, 1776, you know that our natal Sun @13Cancer quindeciles (165 degrees) natal Pluto @27Cap Rx denoting just such compulsive-obsessive behavior (Reeves). As you well know, Washington is focused on power, control, wealth, prominence, and success so politicians who echo that mindset seem to be all the rage these days though the flip side of a Sun-Pluto quindecile is 'strength of character'!
Now where can the American people find an honest person with strength of character who is foolhardy enough to run for president? For who in Washington would cooperate with such a one (thereby disrailing their own gravy train) if he or she should win the White House?
