August 2020: DOJ's Progressed Full Moon in Cancer

It's a 2020 DOJ Astro-Alert!

Below is a dual chart image of the dedication horoscope of the Department of Justice ('DOJ') October 25, 1934 (in Freemasonic ceremony presided over by FDR beginning at 3:00 pm est; lower left) and DOJ's Secondary Progressed ('SP') Full Moon @28Can39 (culmination of a cycle) which perfects on August 20, 2020 at 2:36:31 pm edt with both charts set for Washington DC, so often the villain of the piece. As you see, DOJ's SP Full Moon conjoins SP Pluto, and opposite, DOJ's SP Sun conjuncts America's natal Pluto Rx so that our natal Mercury-Pluto opposition and the karmic progressed DOJ Nodal axis are involved across a blend of the ambitious Cancer-Capricorn axis and the self-willed Leo-Aquarius polarity.

At SP Midheaven ('MC') sits the SP midpoint of Uranus-North-Node of radical, reactionary politics of anarchy and zealotry which suggests sudden, disruptive reforms while opposing SP Neptune: a partner retires and/or deception (Ebertin). And Neptune conjunct IC? Foundation undermining is underway. To me the complex Uranus-NN-MC-Neptune-IC picture in part describes recent resignations of DOJ lawyers in order to avoid working any longer under a Trump-bossed DOJ which was set up to be independent of the Executive Branch of government but is now overseen by Trump's personal "Attorney General" Bill Barr, who now 'hears' calls for him to step down or be impeached:

Here are potentials for the SP Full Moon's more prominent midpoint pictures which seem to me to relate to current events and Trump's erosion of the rule of law:

Sun-Pluto = Uranus: carrying out fanatic reforms; Pluto-NN = Uranus: big upsets within the community; as noted, Uranus-NN = MC: desire to bring plans to fruition with others; Uranus-Neptune = ASC: instability; people who are easily influenced; Jupiter-Neptune = Mars: unreliability; being let down by others; speculation; plans without prospect; Mercury-MC = Saturn: abandonment of previous aims (Ebertin).

Now there are a lot more details that could be said about DOJ's SP Full Moon horoscope in relation to current events but frankly I'm too wumped out to type it for you this evening so perhaps an energetic reader will provide her or his insights by adding an on-topic comment under this post!

February 13, 2020: If you've watched Revealing Light Tarot's reading covering the Next 6 Months you've noticed Mary Ann's focus on the month of March which naturally contains Spring Equinox 2020 (March 19 11:49 pm ET), a horoscope that serves for the entire year and marks the moment when the Sun conjuncts the Aries Point of World Events. And if you use the late afternoon US natal chart of July 4, 1776 that I tend most to use, this times the Sun's entrance into America's natal 4th house of Domestic Scene and Homeland (with its 4/10 Security implications). The following post is my attempt at an additional consideration of Spring Equinox 2020 (the horoscope set for Washington DC) and the emphasis created by the chart's 2nd hou$e planetary pairs opposing the corporate 8th hou$e. Obviously, we must keep in mind other matters of the 8th house which include death, transition, the occult, shared resources, taxes, debt and credit, and/or insurance.

Mars as 2nd-house Trigger conjuncts Jupiter, then Pluto, then Saturn

In the Spring Equinox 2020 Horoscope (chart shown) we find a full 2nd house (National Treasury; Values; Earning Ability) suggesting a heavy focus on financial matters, if not economic, budgetary, and/or currency concerns. So let's consider the planetary pairs therein for more information in the Realms of Politics and Business as provided by Michael Munkasey and the Hegelian model (creating problems then 'solving' them the way that was already intended).

First, a few basics:

2nd cusp 25Sag19 makes money bags Jupiter the 2nd-house ruler; Jupiter also rules 4th house with its cusp @6Pis46 along with the 'help' of deceptive loss-leader Neptune, planet of fraud and mergers. Transit Jupiter first conjoins Pluto (1A54) suggesting The Fed, then Saturn (7A040) pointing toward a new social, political, and economic order (see the Jupiter-Saturn link, below). Placements in 2nd house include the drain of the Moon's South Node, the tail of the dragon, suggesting a neurotic reliance on past tactics that are no longer effective, and most folks agree that Trump has certainly plopped our National Treasury resources into the red, in large part due to his Tax Cuts for the wealthy (Corporate Socialism for the 1%!). That the Cancer-Capricorn polarity is intercepted across the 2/8 axis in the Spring Equinox 2020 chart denotes karmic conditions which must be addressed via its Moon-Saturn influences of ambition, strategy, and direction. Saturn-ruled Capricorn's involvement implies investments and Wall Street trading with depressive Moon-Saturn vibes. However, taking direct action to solve problems can always mitigate this.

Meanwhile, with 24Scorpio46 rising, 2nd-house Mars is chart-ruler (and activating trigger), plus, the warrior planet also rules the 5th house of Speculation and Risk-Taking (5th cusp 8Ari17). And with Mars @22Cap35, the January 12, 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction @22Cap46 is thereby activated suggesting potentials for: ruthlessness, violence, and/or 'the necessity to fight for existence' (Ebertin). Munkasey adds 'the need to use whatever means or power available to continue working' and as we know, royalist Trump keeps claiming for himself expansive powers that break the parameters placed in the US Constitution = unconstitutional behavior of the Executive Branch morphing the US government into an imperial monarchy.

Plus, a nod should be made toward the 6th house of Work and Service (Civil, Military, Police, etc), and Health which contains disruptive Uranus @4Tau32 (in Taurus = seeking unusual sources of funding; environmental concerns) and money planet Venus @15Tau56 (conservative in Taurus yet luxury-loving). Together the Venus-Uranus pair relates to money matters such as extravagant spending, waste, eventual bankruptcy, plus, estrangement and relationship break-ups.

So here are some of the potentials of the planetary pairs posited in the 2nd-house with a few comments and a steel industry link included by yours truly:

Mars-Jupiter Thesis: action taken in response to legal judgments (Barr shortening Roger Stone's sentence?); advice which angers or inflames others (ditto); too much legal activity or opinions; religious activities. Anti-thesis: judgment of enemies or those who seek to do battles; misuse of forces; an expansion of military hardware (and funding); legal opinions or judicial cases which affect the military or metal industries.

Mars-Pluto Thesis: security forces allied with the military; conducting clandestine operations; using police or military against criminal elements (oh could we?); attacks using powerful forces and weaponry. Anti-thesis: A police state with rigid military controls; use of suppression and torture as a means of enforcing policy (Trump's dream?); exporting upheaval and political theory to others as an objective; wars, rape, mayhem, chaos.

Mars-Saturn (with Saturn strong in Capricorn at a critical-crisis 29th degree) Thesis: curtailing force or military power by authorities; enforcement of honor through the use of strife or struggle; wars which persist (yep); frustration imposed upon or by criminal elements (Alert: mob boss in the White House!); demands to halt armaments. Anti-thesis: military actions which continue under political or other restrictions; an obligation to use force (NATO?) when restraint is required; the ambitious taking of what belongs to another; an older enterprise becomes angered.

And if we add health to the planetary pictures in consideration of our concerns over Trump's obese medical condition, bad diet, and what looks to be his continual drug use (sniff sniff!), we find that Mars-Jupiter = hip or liver surgery or a major operation, Mars-Pluto = tumors and/or toxic diseases of the sexual organs (late-stage syphilis?), and Mars-Saturn = high blood pressure, blockages (how could a fatty grub not have these?), weak or withered muscles, and/or hyper followed by hypo (Munkasey).

Biologically, to Mars-Jupiter Ebertin adds 'heart muscle' and 'activity of the organs'; to Mars-Pluto: replacement by 'artificial organs and functions' (including dentures); to Mars-Saturn: 'joints, muscles, bones, tendons, sinews, bone or bone marrow inflammation; atrophy of an organ, and/or muscle paralysis, particularly of the breathing mechanism (includes suffocation)'.

(An additional astro-note: today, February 13, 2020, marks the first of three exact oppositions from transit Pluto to Trump's natal Saturn in clannish Cancer and these challenging energies imprint upon the whole of 2020 for him, and thus for our nation (exact again on July 12th and December 20th). Aptly, Trump's abuse of power issues are front and center in the news this very day via his Roger Stone sentencing interference, as you know, along with rigid demands concerning his authority, accountability, and unreliability, demands which are always required by cosmic taskmaster Saturn - his, spotlighted all through 2020 by oppositions from powerful Pluto, planet of manipulation, control, secrets, criminality, and hidden wealth.)

2020 Win For Progressives, Means Disrupting Trump - Thom Hartmann

February 10, 2020: Here's a segment from progressive broadcaster and author Thom Hartmann discussing what we need to win against Trump in November 2020 and how disruption is a part of America's DNA:

Astrologically, on at least one level this makes sense since Trump's 10th house Uranus in Gemini is his guiding planet of chaos and disruption--conjunct his North Node = radical politics--and, as the Cosmos would have it, America's natal Uranus (planet of revolution, revolt, radical politics, and anarchy) is also in Gemini. Fight fire with fire!

Murdoch's Natal Chart and the 2020 Return of his Prenatal Solar Eclipse

According to The Independent, Murdoch-Trump ties go back to the 1980s when Murdoch's New York Post made playboy Trump a gossip column regular. But these days Mr. Murdoch has a dim view of the man he describes as an a**hole he can't get off the phone, plus, other choice descriptions which appear in Michael Wollf's book Siege: Trump Under Fire, published in June 2019 as a sequel to his Fire and Fury.

Anyway, this post is not about their relationship as much as to display the natal horoscope of media mogul Rupert Murdoch (below) and note that his Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') in the difficult 4 South Saros Series will again manifest on December 14, 2020--this time @23Sag08, conjunct Murdoch's 12th house Moon (12th house of Hospitals? Moon = physical body; well, he is of an advanced age, born in 1931).

And yet there's more to Rupert's eclipse story and it involves--you guessed it--Donald Trump. For 4 South eclipse details check out a previous post concerning the December 14, 2020 Eclipse which 'hits' Trump's natal chart, too. Apparently karmic cosmic links exist between the two men which I'd never noticed before until I nosed into Murdoch's Prenatal Solar Eclipse.

So below is a view of Murdoch's March 11, 1931 Natal Horoscope with details penned upon the chart in my usual messy fashion for those who wish to read them. Highlighted in green (lower left) you'll see that his recent Saturn Return (@21Cap04, 1st house) occurred on December 29, 2019 and was soon conjoined by the January 12, 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction (22Cap46--conjunct Trump's natal Vertex 22:51, yet another karmic indicator). Power and control issues abound for Murdoch these days along with regrets over the past and a potential for limitations on his ambitions. (See below for a note on his natal Saturn-Pluto opposition).

Additionally, Mr. Murdoch has already passed his Uranus Return/s which perfected in 2014 into 2015 (highlighted in blue, lower right), a watershed time when the past no longer holds as much power over him and he began to feel an urge for freedom--and appropriately, in June 2015 came the announcement that he was stepping down as company CEO, handing the reins to his son, but would still "have a voice" in company operations:

Born in 1931 when Saturn and Pluto opposed one another, Rupert Murdoch's life has been one of dissatisfaction and a deep urge to "annihilate existing forms" (A. Oken) and to destroy the existing order. With the harsh, cruel opposition coming at the height of the Great Depression and the rise of fascism in Europe and Asia, his life and goals are inspired by a potential for economic structures to be uprooted so that new forms can take their place, a goal of destruction that transit Pluto in Capricorn willingly under girds as I type, and we careen toward America's first-ever Pluto Return/s. My point here is that the continuation of this 'new order' process is what we are now reaping, driven by such men as Rupert Murdoch and with mouthpiece Donald Trump propagandizing and gas lighting at us from behind the bully pulpit--the very place where he does not belong.

Will Trump's next acts of revenge seal his destiny?

February 6, 2020: Only a question or two for today's post: Will Trump's next acts of revenge bring his downfall? As you've heard, he's said to be plotting against those who dared impeach him and attempted to remove him from the Oval Office and his vengeful character is well known. Besides, establishing a dictatorship requires abject loyalty and submission on the part of your subjects. Not your loyalty or submission, only theirs.

Born an eclipse child (meaning a person with an eventful life), Donald Trump has many irons in many fires but even he is subject to the natural law of karma. It just may take longer for his karma to become evident in a public way. Of course, impeachment is part of that process yet he's still standing, at least for now. Yet the old adage that 'the bigger they are the harder they fall' may soon apply. Please note that I personally take no glee from this because as Trump goes so goes America--and I suspect that even a fake POTUS qualifies.

Never a pristine snowflake and possessing a destructive temperament, Mr. Mars Rising is reportedly Compiling a Nixonian 'Enemies List' as He Seeks Revenge for Impeachment with John Bolton said to be Trump's top target. Are Rep. Adam Schiff and Speaker Nancy Pelosi his numbers two and three? Where on the list is Mitt Romney, the Republican who upheld his conscience and voted against him?

Meanwhile, for now it's true that Trump enjoys major success and benefits in large part due to royal star Regulus rising with his contentious Mars (a malevolent pairing for Regulus), yet the star's caution is very clear--and resonates with karma's decree that he will reap what he sows.

And so my primary question continues unanswered, at least for the moment:

Will Regulus Assure the Destiny of Donald Trump?

Partners in Crime: A Presidency of One no more

February 5, 2020: With the Republican Senate's vote to exonerate scofflaw Trump set for this afternoon (4:00 pm est), if accomplished it will then be official - the Republican Party is made up of culprits complicit in the crimes of Donald Trump. Partners in crime, as the saying goes. And it looks to me as if this coming together of scoundrels, codifying lawlessness into law, shows in the Inauguration 2021 Horoscope (below) for as you see in the dual charts, unlike Inauguration 2017 with only the POTUS Sun in the 10th house of Career and Public Standing, the victor will also have Saturn, Jupiter, and Mercury, all in Aquarius, all handmaidens to the POTUS Sun:

Now I haven't yet compared the natal planets of all possible scoundrels who could be represented by the three 10th house planets (2021) but it did occur to me to check the planets of Stephen Miller for any natals in Aquarius. Miller's natal Jupiter Rx @9AQ36 is there in 10th house just beyond 2021 Jupiter (7AQ22--conjunct US natal South Node of 1776) so if Trump commands the Oval Office for a second term, we may find bigot Miller whispering in his ear once again--and, as the Cosmos would have it, Miller's Jupiter Return perfects on January 29, 2021.

As for the three Aquarian planets of Inauguration 2021, here are a few brief potentials for each placement:

Saturn in AQ suggests ambitious plans with no sound foundation, eccentric expectations, and/or a reliable partner.

Jupiter in AQ implies comradeship (!), self-willed individuals, and/or indecisiveness (so many options!). Note that Jupiter can represent a financier (donor), CEO, politician, priest-minister-guru-mentor, and/or The General.

Mercury in AQ suggests reforms, inventions, a desire to work alone, and/or Utopian ideals. These ideals may be supported by the rising Mars-Uranus conjunction @7Taurus and its tendencies toward revolution, anarchy, explosiveness, and/or expressions of a violent temper. Potentials for this duo include radical reforms in the military, unplanned military actions, groups that exploit energy resources, modernization of the steel industry, security forces used to control strife (police state vs We The People?), rebellions against modernization efforts, and/or outbreaks of hostility (Munkasey).

Plus, you see an impulsive We The People's Moon rising at a critical 29th degree of Mars-ruled Aries. Sun AQ-Moon Aries: "Robin Hood and his band of merry men outwit the evil King John once again"..."A court jester mocks the social injustices of the realm" (Sun Sign-Moon Sign, the Harveys). Well, evil is definitely in the house, I'd say, at work in the behind-the-scenes 12th house of Politics, Large Institutions, and Karma.

Well, I don't care to type anymore on the topic of Inauguration 2021 until we're closer to it and the November 3, 2020 Elections are over--whenever that will be. Besides, the Electoral College is scheduled to vote for president on December 14, 2020--the very day of a 4 South Solar Eclipse.

Now I wonder who scheduled that?

SOTU 2020 and Trump's SOTUs since 2017

February 3, 2020: Well friends, another State of the Union Address is upon us for on Tuesday evening February 4th Trump is to deliver SOTU 2020 to a Joint Session of Congress while taking plenty of time for gloating, boasting, and complaining.

This annual oration is scheduled for 9:00 pm est last I heard although he could begin his utterances a few minutes after the hour, of course, or even a bit before the hour with unpredictable Uranus in Gemini as his guiding planet.

Now Trump's first natal planet to rise during SOTU 2020 will be his 2nd hou$e Neptune @5libra which always brings along natal Chiron (which conjuncts US natal Saturn in mid-Libra: his Jupiter-Neptune = US Saturn: combining the real with the unreal; false hopes) and Trump's stationary Jupiter @17lib27 which turned Direct 3 hours 11 minutes after his 10:54 am edt birth (June 14, 1946 Queens, NY) = the boundary breaker. And as you know, a frequent refrain of folks born under the influence of a Libran Jupiter is, It's not fair! so he may be induced to whine about being impeached and about the ongoing trial in the Senate (Acquittal Vote scheduled for February 5, 2020 at 4:00 pm)--plus, bubbly Jupiter-Neptune's fantasy, grand schemes, speculation, and political conflict qualities will be on display. Also on tap for SOTU 2020 is contentious fighter Mars, the warrior and fire-starter planet, @22Sagittarius conjunct his natal Moon so Trump's anger is in the house. And whenever a planet conjoins his natal Moon, it opposes natal Sun which suggests his bruised ego from recent events and opinions and actions of others not supporting his leadership. Plus, karma is involved for his Nodal axis is activated by Mars which may include a measure of violence or violent reactions via Mars-South-Node. Certainly his grudges are on the scene!

So! Astro-notes concerning Trump's previous SOTU Addresses have been previously published here on SO'W if you care to compare them or to read my previous snarky comments. (I fuss because I care. And as a Capricorn, I happen to be fond of the word fuss.)

SOTUs 2017, 2018, 2019 and more on SOTU 2020:

First we were battered by Trump's Pseudo-SOTU of February 28, 2017, so freakishly memorable for he assailed us about 39 days after the 2017 Inauguration which you'll remember he and Sean Spicer tried to palm off as well-attended. In comparison to other presidential inaugurations prior, it was not. What a fantasist. And hothead when things don't go his way. Pouty and broody. Endlessly needy. One reason is his Moon-South-Node conjunction--a bottomless emotional pit that he can fall into and soon instigate a pity party. But then his opposing Sun-North-Node in the public 10th house boosts him forward, at least when he's in public view and a camera is on.

Then SOTU 2018 careened onto the world stage, it fell into the 1 North Saros Series of The Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017 @29Leo which landed upon Trump's natal Ascendant and his Mars Rising with royal Regulus, the kingmaker star. (As you know, the year 2024 contains another Great American Eclipse but more on that later. This post is trying to be all about Trump SOTUs.) Additionally, I posted a follow-up fuss about SOTU 2018's aftermath and the necessary abundance of fact-checking that went on just to deal with what we as a nation had been through from listening to him. Reagan was The Gipper. Jack was the Ripper. Trump is The Riffer. But sometimes garbling occurs when too many syllables get in a speedy tongue's way.

Anyway, by the time SOTU 2019 rolled around, I had grown weary publishing Herr Spanky's SOTU horoscopes (and tired of listening to his insufferable voice) so I fussed here by text only last year. And for some reason the post is entitled SOTU 2019: Trump Cries Wolf! and you'll soon see why.

So if you're one of those hardy Americans we sometimes hear about who plans to sit through his oration tomorrow night, I salute you. But I can tell you that with 28Vir06 rising (asteroid Nemesis Rx @26Vir15 just having risen), orating Mercury is chart-ruler and Midheaven ruler (MC @27Gem51--'28Gemini' = "Bankruptcy": money matters?), is in confused and secretive Pisces (2:27), and makes only one Ptolemaic aspect to a planet in the chart, a sextile to erratic Uranus (0A28), which denotes some rapid speech (tongue tripping over dentures?) with Uranus @2Taurus in SOTU's corporate 8th hou$e, criticism of others will be on his menu (as always--nothing is ever his fault), and he may express heretical views that create controversy.

So what else is new, am I right?

Trump may face Michael Bloomberg in the 2020 race

February 3, 2020: First, in case you missed it, Mary Ann of Revealing Light Tarot has posted a very interesting reading on Michael Bloomberg, former NYC mayor, media mogul, billionaire, and 2020 Democratic candidate for the presidency who really wants Trump out of the White House. Perhaps you've seen Mr. Bloomberg's hard-to-miss campaign ads because they're blanketing the land, and he promises to continue spending against Trump even if he (Bloomberg) is not the Democratic nominee. Now I must say that that's the right spirit!

But then again I'm one of those anyone but Trump kind of American patriots and I suspect that my Revolutionary ancestors wouldn't have it any other way. Trump has no Revolutionary ancestors that I can find and I continue to assert that it shows in his lack of preference for America's founding principles. Disagree if you must but there it is.

Then there's this morning's Morning Joe (MSNBC) with a segment about how Trump attacked Bloomberg and Bloomberg Hit Back and it appears that Trump is concerned about having to run against the much wealthier Mr. Bloomberg who, in his days as NYC mayor, must have run across quite a few of Trump's unsavory secrets!

And speaking of campaign promises, here's a sample of Bloomberg News from February 1, 2020 which has a promising ring to it: Bloomberg Proposes Tax Plan to Raise $5 Trillion for Policies.

So for a peek at the natal horoscope of Michael Bloomberg, son of a bookkeeper, here's a previous post from June 2007 which was updated in 2019 before his announced presidential run (2020). You'll see his double Aquarian Sun-Moon blend with its Image for Integration--interesting considering that so far, large-boned Trump has made their potential 2020 match-up about Bloomberg's physical size--the Image is "The Jolly Green Giant"! Well, "jolly" is one of moneybags Jupiter's words and along with "green" refers to the much larger fortune enjoyed by Michael Bloomberg, larger than the mysterious wealth (sources unknown) of money-laundering con man Donald Trump who refuses to show his tax returns.

You'll also see that Mike Bloomberg's natal Sun @25AQ30 conjoins US natal Moon (We The People), a traditional indicator of a US president which makes me wonder: is the Democratic nomination his if he wants it?

Meanwhile, we should also note that Mike Bloomberg's natal Saturn-Uranus conjunction in Taurus sits upon the natal Midheaven ('MC') of Trump, causing his nibs a measure of nervousness perhaps, and denoting Bloomberg's potentials for a powder-keg temper and yet the conjunction positively supplies "tremendous latent power which can be used for progressive social movements if the ability is present to work progressive ideas into the existing social order" (A. Oken).

This sounds to me like Bloomberg's proposal for a 'tax plan to raise $5 trillion for policies'! What do you think?
