DC Horoscope: New Moon Prior to Election 2024

November 27, 2020: Although it's too soon to write a bunch about the following New Moon Prior Horoscope, predictive of Election 2024, I'm posting the chart here for your consideration if or when you can get around to it. Chart-ruler and co-ruler with Scorpio rising? Beware the Mars-Pluto opposition at critical 29th degrees! Conflict ahead:

Note: Election Day 2024 is scheduled for November 5th.

UPDATE March 22, 2022:

'New Moon Prior to Elections' most often reveal information about the popular vote and, as we see here, when the Ascendant sign's ruler is higher in the chart, it more often occurs that the challenger is the victor. So if we take Mars as ruler of Scorpio, Mars is higher. Meanwhile, malevolent Mars is also opposed by Scorpio's co-ruler, Pluto at IC. Their opposition reveals the violence which may attend activities before, during, and after Election Day 2024 - and, now in 2022, is already being used by armed Tr*mpers menacing voters in certain states previous to Midterms 2022. Strong-armed Nazi-style tactics, or fascist-style, if you prefer a Mussolini tinge.

Then there's radical Uranus conjunct enraged star Algol (at Herr Tr*mp's natal Midheaven) at Descendant with its 'piled up corpses' caution and this to me seems more in favor of an authoritarian, reactionary GOP candidate though you may disagree. Trump Nodal Return 2020 IDs secret meeting with Special Forces

No Alarm, Merely a Forewarning that's Hopefully Unnecessary

Most everyone is anxious about Inauguration Day 2021. Well, as it turns out, on the very day of his Nodal Return, October 29, 2020, Trump met behind the scenes with US Special Forces at Fort Bragg, NC, the men who killed Islamic leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi a year or so ago. During their meeting that was conducted "outside the view of the press corp traveling with him," Trump presented the troops with a Presidential Unit Citation, an honor formerly known as a Distinguished Unit Citation. For conspiracy theorists the fancy word play (as if to put Trump's personal stamp on the award and "claim" the troops as his own whether all of them like it or not), plus, Trump's (North Node conjunct North Node in duplicitous Gemini) secret meeting with Special Forces, seems to be part of a potential Inauguration Day 2021 Mars-Uranus Conjunction plan for anarchy since we know that Trump will do anything to hold onto to power and thus avoid (or postpone!) his fate.

Yes, it goes against the grain yet I'm reluctantly suggesting here the possibility of a Trump scheme to use military intervention by what some might call 'rogue' units to be put in service to a cult leader instead of honoring their oaths to the US Constitution. Trump's ongoing legal challenges to his election loss could be serving as a distraction campaign for such military muscling up behind the scenes. For when a politician says, 'look here', we must be sure to look elsewhere.

Astrologically, such interventionist energies peak on January 20, 2021 (noon chart shown) when the Mar-Uranus Conjunction @6Tau44 perfects at 3:38 pm est - quite near Joe Biden's natal Moon (@00Tau59, in n 5th house). And as you know, earlier at noon that day, the combustible, activist pair rises over Capitol Hill in 12th house: behind the scenes; Politics; US Congress. Yet hopefully, all these considerations are too fantastical for practical implementation and too non-traditional to be feasible. After all, President-Elect Biden has the option to use US military troops for various purposes, too.

Meanwhile, here's something I wrote on Trump's above linked Nodal Return Horoscope of October 29th which apparently relates to this difficult topic. It involves the fact that transiting Neptune (fraudster, speculator, grand schemer, liar, erosion, the media) in secretive, shady Pisces, has been squaring Trump's Nodal Axis which creates potentials for: subversives who undermine traditional religious and social standards and principles (ex: the peaceful transition of power that We The People must rely on); sabotage of social institutions, and/or terrorists with villainous purposes (Munkasey).

January 5, 2021 Georgia Runoff for Control of the US Senate

The New Year Brings a Major Political Event in My Home State of Georgia

Early in the New Year, two political contests will determine which party controls the US Senate beginning in 2021 and their outcomes will determine how well the Biden-Harris adminstration can manage its work. Predictably, Senate Majority Leader Mitch "grim reaper" McConnell and certain Republican groups are spending many millions of advertising dollars in Georgia in hopes of retaining control of all Senate proceedings and thereby keeping the gavel of power out of the hands of a Democrat. No longer the party of 'fiscal responsibility' one must wonder at the GOP's broader agenda which seems to be the sabotage of our nation into penury and collapse. Of course you may disagree, dear reader, but there it is.

Meanwhile, there's a website with all you need to know about the Georgia Runoff Election of January 5, 2021 between Kelly Loeffler (R) vs Raphael Warnock (D) to complete the term of Senator Johnny Isaakson (which ends in 2023), and incumbent Senator David Perdue (R) vs Jon Ossoff (D). Naturally the information is aimed at Georgia voters and includes a list of significant dates, 2020 into 2021:

November 18: mailing of absentee ballots began

December 7: deadline to register to vote

December 14-31: early in-person voting

January 5: Election Runoff for two US Senate seats.

Now since I relocated to Raleigh NC in early 2019, I can't say for certain that statewide polling locations in Georgia are open on January 5, 2021 during the same hours as those of my former county of residence (7:00 am to 7:00 pm) but I imagine this to be the case. If you're a Georgia voter, check with your county to be sure. After all, in ye olde 13th Colony, there's no telling what underhanded tricks may be used to suppress or negate your vote.

Astrologically, there's a 'sense of social justice' to the day's cosmic energies with Sun in Saturn-ruled Capricorn and Moon in Venus-ruled Libra for the 24 hours of January 5, 2021. Voting planet Mercury is also in Capricorn (at 7:00 am: 25:04, to 25:53 by 7:00 pm) and is under great pressure, even constraint and suppression, because impressionable Mercury (although not so easily swayed when in Capricorn!) is traveling as the filling in a cosmic sandwich between karmic planets Saturn (2AQ08) and Pluto (25Cap20), actors with control, manipulation, and power tucked under their belts.

(In previous posts, I've referred to Mercury as the 'tofu planet' since it tends to absorb the flavors of the planet/s it touches or contacts (plus, that of the ruler of the sign it's in). Political campaigns are all about persuading voters and leaning on them in one way or another is not so rare an occurrence as it ought to be in America. No less so in Georgia.)

Of course here, Pluto in Capricorn is closer by degree to the voting planet so there's a Mercury-Pluto conjunction to consider while keeping a decidedly Saturnian influence. Mercury-Saturn suggests that voters will have researched the candidates and the situation but are focused primarily how outcomes will affect local concerns via state politics. Note that the Mercury-Saturn planetary pair may also relate to dishonest, untrustworthy people, and to serious or sobering discussions and negotiations.

Then naturally with Mercury-Pluto expressing powerfully we may expect potentials for excessive zeal, influential speeches and/or writings, propaganda, demagoguery, plagiarism, fraudulent representations in communications, public recognition, use of suggestion or persuasion, deep research (ex: opposition research into opponents), crafty subtlety, overestimation of self, shrewd planning, irritation, impatience, and/or just plain secrets, hidden or revealed.

Yet I have faith that many Georgia voters will realize that on January 5th they are faced with conditions of 'stark realism' and the karmic need to face America's problems directly rather than stalling proposed solutions for them on a powerful senator's desk. It remains to be seen whether Georgians will vote with the future of our entire country in mind, plus, with an urge to rescue from Republican zealots the social safety net programs such as Social Security and Medicare that so many citizens' lives depend upon. As always, I'm cheering for the common good.

The Biden-Harris Partnership: Sun Scorpio-Moon Leo

On November 7, 2020, Joe Biden was announced as President-Elect and a post appeared here on SO'W discussing the announcement's Sun Scorpio-Moon Leo blend of Fixed energies which may be said to describe the Biden-Harris partnership - he, the Sun, she, the Moon. The happiness (Leo) of a majority of the public (Moon) is also indicated as the emotional trend or mood.

However, in my previous post I was rushed and did not add a view of the announcement horoscope so it's added here for readers who may not have seen it. And for those who have:

Karmic planet Saturn rules many realms as you know, and here Saturn rules the Ascendant (the announcement itself) and reveals several factors that feature and will feature in the Biden-Harris administration and its managing style and ability. Demanding Saturn, strong in its own sign of Capricorn (sign of government, law, and business) rules realism, control, limits, responsibility, accountability, seniors, maturity, and the law and we find these issues and concerns mentioned within the public discourse on a daily basis.

In Mundane Astrology, Saturn also represents The Establishment and The System and with this one horoscope we can see the ongoing stand-off between reactionary anarchic forces of Utopian zealotry vs the steady energies of now-returning professional actors in government and their particular world view. (See Uranus conjunct both the IC and the previous Halloween New Moon @8Taurus). How closely the adage 'new boss same as old boss' will apply remains to be seen, as quirky as that may be considering erratic Trump (whose WH tenure was no bug but a feature, I suspect).

Yes, Trump managed to place a lot of things and principles up for grabs, an authoritarian agenda which has created conditions for a major reform of the US government. This is what 'the powers that think they be' wanted all along for pawns like you and me.

In closing, also note that the current 'midpoint gorilla' in the environment is the transiting Saturn-Uranus = Neptune picture. So it's 'Old Order vs New Order' with the veil or mask of sneaky Neptune overlaid which to me suggests that disguised changes are being utilized with the objective of altering traditional roles or methods (although inspired solutions should not be ruled out!). This alteration will be supported by the December 21, 2020 Great Conjunction of societal planets Jupiter and Saturn, a cosmic shift into a more Aquarian era and a signal for the beginning of a 'new order' politically, financially, and socially.

Below is my version of the Spring Equinox 2021 Horoscope set for Washington DC, March 20th 5:37:25 am edt with Ascendant @21AQ02 and Jupiter in Aquarius rising which inspired the chart's (and season's) title, "A Sense of Social Justice".

This particular entry to SO'W is sort of an 'early bird' post with only basic study notes penned upon the chart for those who may wish to enlarge the image and view them; this cosmic event falls into the 4 South Saros Series which manifests on December 14, 2020 @23Sag08 (this chart in 10th house), the Series or family of solr eclipses in effect until the next Solar Eclipse @20Gemini in the 5 North Series on June 10, 2021 (or up until about two weeks prior so its effects may begin to be felt in late May 2021):

December 2020 Full Moon: Fear of Losing the Dream

On December 29, 2020 at 10:28:04 pm est comes a Full Moon @8Can55. The following Full Moon horoscope is set for Washington DC as representative of the United States of America, and the natal planets of Donald Trump are penned around the chart and are highlighted in pink. As you see, the Cancer Full Moon spotlights the natal Mercury of Mr. Trump which necessarily brings in his natal Mercury-Neptune square of deception, misperception, fantasy, loose lips and indiscretion. And as Alan Oken terms this square, The Sneaky Mind:

The December 2020 Full Moon falls across the 4/10 house polarity of Career/Public Status vs Home/Security; Hour of Venus; Moon and Mercury are out-of-bounds of the earthly plane, off on their own; Mercury@14Cap42 4th house is chart-ruler but makes no applying aspects so its sign and house position are significant.

The Solar Eclipse Saros Series is the difficult 4 South @23Sag08 (in Full Moon's 4th h in DC) with its themes of strong emotions over money and relationships; the desire to suddenly end relationships; a sense of fate is attached or partnerships (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology #ad). As you know, the Total 4 South Solar Eclipse manifests on December 14th, the day the Electoral College is set to vote, and it 'eclipses' the 8th house Saturn (authority) in the Inauguration 2017 chart. It is also the Prenatal Eclipse of Inauguration 2021 with the combustible Mars-Uranus Conjunction energies added to Inauguration Day 2021.

So besides occurring during a Venus Hour, the Full Moon horoscope shows Venus @18Sag05 conjunct IC (Endings; Foundation; Homeland; Domestic Scene) of the chart with an interesting Sabian Symbol considering current conditions: "19Sag": "Pelicans, Disturbed by People, Move Their Habitat" (penned on chart, lower right.) Also of note is that Venus leads the rest of the planets bwo a Locomotive shape of ruthless determination toward success. In the sign of 'the foreigner', can this Venus represent Melania leaving the scene? Plus, planet Mercury, also in 4th house, relates to relocation and change of residence (and perhaps to Barron). And as you see, dissolving, disappointing Neptune conjunct the Partnership Angle (Descendant) relates to relationship issues, plus, in Pisces to the ongoing pandemic.

Well, we know that moving should be going on. But is it? At some point, it must! I can't imagine Biden and Trump bunking together, can you? Besides, who doesn't think that Trump will be much more comfortable lounging around Mar-a-Lago and gorging on beautiful chocolate cake?

Meanwhile, we know that Full Moons can affect events much as Uranian Lunar Eclipses do: uncovering inconvenient facts, making unconscious material conscious, disrupting the proceedings, and/or stirring up scandals. If you haven't, check out a previous post concerning the natal Mercury of Donald Trump, linked below. His Mercury's Sabian Symbol is penned on the chart, upper center, highlighted in pink ("9 Cancer": "--a tiny nude miss").

So in closing, why is this post about the "fear of losing the dream"? My suspicion is that this describes on some level the mindset of Mr. Trump these days but of course we must wait and see how events during the rest of November and December 2020 turn out for him and for our nation. Yes, his Mercury-Neptune square does like to dream on a wildly fantastic level, with reality and truth forced to conform to his ideas and plans (he thinks).

So astrologically, the chart contains these potentials: Venus-Neptune = Jupiter: 'keeping up a good front''; and Venus-Neptune = Saturn: 'fear of losing the dream' (Tyl). And Trump is a discontented Venus-Saturn type of guy who never met a lie he couldn't tell (how Neptunian).

Yet for Americans such as myself, the fear is more about how Trump will react to the rejection and eviction notice ("you're fired!") he received on November 3rd. My dream is that he'll move his bulk out of President-Elect Joe Biden's way thus managing to give new meaning to the phrase, The lights are on but nobody's home.

Our Crisis and the 7 South Eclipse: Mars Square Pluto

2020 Election = 2020 Crisis and Beyond

Not long after the premiere of A Birth of a Nation, on the evening of Thanksgiving, November 25, 1915, itinerant preacher William Joseph Simmmons brought together 15 friends and a few aging original Klan members atop Stone Mountain, Georgia, built an altar, burned a cross, and declared himself imperial wizard of the invisible empire (Nixon's "silent majority'?) of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. Upon the altar he had placed a Bible, an American flag, and an unsheathed sword, then uttered a macho-esque incantation involving a "practical fraternity among men" as he declared himself imperial wizard of a morbid brotherhood of malcontents. Perhaps we can agree that modern-day representatives of this hate-filled "fraternal brotherhood" now cling to power as they, with 'macho' Trump, hunker down in the White House and do everything they can to disrupt America's traditional peaceful transition of power. For within the shadows, the Klan's network has grown, spread, and infiltrated the halls of power, much as it did in the early years of the 20th century - and not just in America.

Occurring during the presidency of Woodrow Wilson, a prominent racist of the post-Reconstruction era, the revival of the Klan in 1915 openly revealed their renewed drive toward societal supremacy based on skin color and was promoted as "taking an active part in the betterment of mankind" (as if primal violence could effect such an outcome!). Its motto: Non Silba Sed Anthar a mixture of Latin and Gothic that means, "not self but others." Of course, 'gothic' suggests ancient Germanic tribes, and obviously, their idea of "betterment" involved (and still involves by such groups of our day) the "purification" of the white race, the obsessive, irrational goal of a death cult mentality.

Meanwhile, in the Atlanta, Georgia of 1915, the Atlanta Constitution promoted an attempt to normalize and gain acceptance for what had occurred atop Stone Mountain that dark night. Here's an image of the newspaper's November 28, 1915 clipping:

Now to limit the appearance of this post as any sort of a tribute to the Klan, defunct as the group is said to be yet ideologically cloned these days by various groups and sub-groups, here are a few astro-notes concerning the 7 South Solar Eclipse which influenced the Stone Mountain 1915 cross-burning instigated by William J. Simmons, along with a warning from yours truly that a 7 South Eclipse will repeat on October 14, 2023 @21Libra (fore-warned is fore-armed):

Solar Eclipse 7 South August 10, 1915 @17Leo12 expressed the tremendous power, anger, and force of a Mars-Pluto square based on the initial eclipse of 7 South (June 22, 1248 OS @8Can03--conjunct Trump natal Mercury; 1248 eclipse Mars 8Leo34 SQ Pluto Rx 8Sco09: obstinate Fixed energies; 2020 Uranus Rx now opposing 1915 Pluto = clashes over power and control; mass social movements; shifts in political and social institutions, plus, 2020 Uranus square 1915 Mars suggests unpredictable behavior and disruption). A T-Square of potentials is formed thanks to 2020 Uranus, the Utopian zealot, reactionary rebel, and anarchist: Uranus-Pluto = Mars: 'fanaticism; acts of violence; the mania of destruction; the stage of "bending or breaking"; injury; accidents (R. Ebertin).

So if we dare to add the potentials of this unpredictable T-Square to the possibilities of the Inauguration Day 2021 Mars-Uranus Conjunction @6Tau44 rising at noon in Washington DC (a cosmic time link 1915-to-2020), it increases our cause for concern that a Klan-riddled White House gang is spoiling for more than simple election lawsuits and social media complaints in their attempt to vindicate Trump and morph the US into an even more brutal era of hatred and conflict. For an ill-gained "win" for Trump now would be a win for dictatorship over democracy, and a sinister victory for 'the Klan'.

And it seems to me that a prominent feature of the August 10, 1915 Solar Eclipse horoscope is the fact that it contains a midpoint picture of potentials for 'rage, the fury of destruction, bodily harm, and the death of many people'-- yes, it's Mars-Saturn = Pluto which is one of the natal midpoint pictures of Donald Trump (previously discussed in multiple SO'W posts). Yet curiously, the picture also contains another possibility: 'intervening of a higher power' (R. Ebertin). I can only guess what this might mean if it applies at all to our current conditions of crisis! First thought? Hidden hands. Manipulation from afar. Or something more domestic.

Now naturally, there are other cosmic factors supporting these forceful Mars-Pluto flavors and passed down through the generations, many of them mentioned in previous SO'W posts. But best of all, mitigating factors of beneficence also exist, as always, which is a very good thing, isn't it?

Besides, there's a bit more to consider about 7 South Eclipses before this post ends. For one thing, 'huge obstacles' such as the hefty, obstinate Trump could suddenly clear! I say this because the theme of 7 South includes a positive flavor of 'huge obstacles suddenly clear' or a negative expression = 'a rapidly-moving crisis manifests' (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology). Now some might say that the crisis began with the Trump regime (nope--we may wish to time its genesis as far back as the Jamestowne Colony when Angolan slaves were introduced into society, 1619) and most people agree that its ill effects are current and ongoing through the generations. And it's possible that these difficult energies could peak in October 2023 with the 7 South Eclipse in Libra, hence the warning in this post.

Yet how soon tensions between the negative forces darkly working against society led by figurehead Trump vs actors such as Joe Biden who promotes goals and principles of diversity and inclusion will or can dissipate remains to be seen as President-Elect Biden attempts to take the reins of power and Trump yaps at his heels. Today is November 12th and as the days go by since Election 2020 on November 3rd, a quick resolution of our 'Trump problem' appears remote and full of dangerous, sinister undercurrents suggested by a threatening Mars-Pluto square of devastation and success-at-any-cost machinations. As for Rs vs Ds, there's plenty of viciousness to go around in US Politics but I willingly admit to considering the GOP to be the worst of the bunch - the bottom-feeders in our society with 'grim reaper' McConnell leading much of their anti-societal efforts. Maybe we can appreciate the paradox of money-loving bottom feeders who consider themselves to be the 'cream of the crop'!

And so, dear reader, my fuss is over so please help me decide: is our current American crisis a Shakespearean drama of titanic proportions? Or is it a super-villain vs hero extravaganza of a generously bankrolled blockbuster?

November-December 2020: Trump Doubly Eclipsed!

Will Trump's 'Glory' End During a Lame Duck Season?

Whether you believe that Donald Trump lost or won the 2020 Election, it cannot be denied that the (apparent) lame duck in the White House enters a significant 'eclipse season' with the Lunar Eclipse of November 30, 2020 (8Gem38) and proceeds on to the Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 (23Sag03). Concerning the turmoil of the November Election, it seems that the season, ('duck season'?), has already begun since eclipses are disruptively Uranian in nature and thus may influence conditions early, late, or never. Considering current events and, so far, his inability to accept defeat, it's doubtful that 'never' applies to Mr. Trump's situation. Plus, eclipses' habit of revealing secrets and triggering scandals is well known.

Of course, I refer to the fact that the November 30th Lunar Eclipse (8Gem38) 'eclipses' Trump's Prenatal Solar Eclipse (8Gem48; May 30, 1946 2 Old North) and the December 14th Solar Eclipse (23Sag03) 'eclipses' Trump's natal Lunar Eclipse (23Sag04; June 14, 1946--his day of birth, an 'eclipse baby' = an eventful life). That the two eclipses of November and December 2020 are 'personalized' for Donald Trump seems obvious to me, if not to you, and the usual qualities of Mercury-ruled Gemini and Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius are naturally involved (truth vs lies, logic, reasoning ability, mental fluency; moral and ethical issues, real or fanciful religious convictions, ideology). Additionally, the potential themes of all 2 Old North Solar Eclipses are currently activated: 'unfortunate news concerning relationships or friendships; separations or endings of unions; things initially look glum but fast action can bring positive results' (paraphrasing Brady, Predictive Astrology). Perhaps he'll conclude that scurrying out of the line of fire is his best chance of survival!

Meanwhile, you'll remember that a 2 Old North Eclipse repeated on July 12, 2018 at the critical degree of 20Cancer (20:41) conjunct fixed star, Castor with the star's potentials for 'sudden loss or fame; murder; mental illness; crippling of limbs--A. Louis). These potentials were further ruffled by the significant Lunar Eclipse which opened Year 2020 on January 10th @20Can00 and related, as we later discovered, to the revelation and arrival in the US of coronavirus and Covid-19.

And so I suggest that all these cosmic and earthly events of 2020 are part of the political and personal picture of Donald Trump whose Waterloo may ultimately be traced through the influences of Solar and Lunar Eclipses, often called cosmic blinks and wild cards of the Universe for good reason.

But no gloating here, my fellow Americans, for as I must remind myself for a little while longer: wherever Trump-playing-POTUS goes, so goes the United States of America.

Biden Inauguration Day 2021: Who Goes There?

The DC Horoscope, below, of Joe Biden's Lunar Return which perfects on January 20, 2021 (and operative until mid-February) is of concern to yours truly for a variety of reasons. One reason is that President-Elect Biden's natal Moon degree @00Tau59 (00/1Taurus are degrees of violence which he faced with the tragic deaths of his first wife and daughter), plus, there's the nearness to his Moon of the transiting Mars-Uranus Conjunction which perfects a bit earlier at 3:38 pm ET @6Tau44. There are other chart factors of significance of course, both positive and negative, however, I doubt that it's a good idea to mention very much about the portents of such a subject here with certain of his opponents considering themselves to be enemies. Perhaps even 'sworn enemies'. You know who they are.

Therefore, I'll simply publish a few details concerning the Lunar Return horoscope and a dual chart image along with Mr. Biden's natal chart (lower left) for anyone who may wish to consider the Return, plus, I'll mention that on this significant day, Joe Biden's Return Moon rises with asteroid Circe with its potential for 'where we rescue or where we seek rescue'. Maybe both!

Meanwhile, the Sun, Saturn, and Jupiter squares listed on the image are actually transiting squares to his natal Moon suggesting various internal blockages, plus, the possibilities of encountering arrogant people, critics and nitpickers, disfunctioning schedules and/or systems, and having to deal with other people's extravagance (wonder whose!). Will the White House computer keyboards be intact? Or worse?

Well, we know that President-Elect Biden and his team are certainly facing a daunting job if there ever was one, sabotaged conditions or not.

Then adding to the significance of any or all of his lifetime of Lunar Returns, you see listed on his natal chart, lower right, that his natal Moon leads an ambitious Locomotive shape of his planets. Natal Moon in Taurus (constant and steadfast, warm emotions) is ruled by valuable Venus - his @28Sco33, with transiting Nemesis on Inauguration Day 2021 @29Scorpio46 conjunct his natal Venus (see Return 5th house), Nemesis at a 29th critical degree. Scandals are ceain to be stirred up by then or at least until his next Lunar Return in February. Or we could say that this particular Lunar Return 'sets the clock' on Mr. Biden's entire presidency since it's his first of 2021.

So below the image, you'll find potentials of two midpoint pictures which conjunct his Moon Return's Midheaven, the Goal Point. They sound quite descriptive to me but see what you think, dear reader:
