January 2024: Big Trouble at the NRA

On January 5, 2024, the NRA tweeted that Wayne LaPierre will resign from his top position in the organization as of January 31, 2024. His resignation comes amidst his current civil corruption trial in Manhattan, NY which opens this Monday (1/8/24), last I heard.

For reference, here's a previously published dual image with NRA November 17, 1871 and the group's current Jupiter Return Horoscope from 2014, still in effect until Summer 2026:

Significant planetary transits are now affecting the NRA Horoscope of November 17, 1871 and the most obviously connected to LaPierre's corruption trial and to the group's dwindling membership fees in recent years is transit Pluto opposing the organization's Jupiter (exalted in Cancer, and at Station Rx @29Can55: '30Cancer' = "A Daughter of the American Revolution" -- interesting, since the NRA is a Civil-War-era concoction). Note that 1871 Jupiter conjuncts the group's intense Venus-Pluto midpoint which suggests a picture of "Propagation of destructive impulses" and/or "intense feelings of pleasure from power or destruction" (M. Munkasey).

Of course, bankruptcy is a lurking potential when this planetary duo is involved, so hopefully a full-on search for hidden rubles has been done, perhaps offshore and in foreign bank accounts and super-secret vaults. What Mr. LaPierre hasn't frittered away, that is.

Perhaps you've seen this 3M26S video clip The NRA lies about its bankruptcy filing.

Because we know that the Venus-Pluto duo hints at "extremes of private wealth hidden in secret places" and to finances (as does Jupiter), and to "attracting elements of organized crime" (M.M.). Well, guns do that, don't they?

Anyway, the Pluto-Jupiter opposition, coming on for some time, reveals a period of legal battles with financial consequences. One example you may remember: NY AG Letitia James squashed the group's plan to transfer their assets from New York to Texas.

Simultaneously, other current transits include Uranus Rx @19Taurus conjunct 1871 Pluto (past control may be lost; abrupt changes), legal eagle planet Saturn square 1871 Mercury (opinions challenged, delays, blocked communications), and North Node conjunct 1871 Neptune (meetings about corruption and fraud).

Well, it's all karmic, isn't it? An established organization taken low by its own underhandedness and now legal eagle Saturn makes decisions for its future. Of course, Chapter 11 filing would mean the NRA could reorganize--so maybe they'll behave in a more upright fashion in the future. What do you think?

Said to sharpen his rhetoric concerning insurrectionist Trump, President Biden is scheduled to speak on the occasion of the third anniversary of Trump's J6 coup attempt - at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania! Then he's on to South Carolina for a second event. See MSN's: Biden's Jan 6 Anniversary Speech for details. Plus, CNN characterizes Biden's J6 events as the opening of his Campaign 2024. So it appears that President Biden is rarin' to go - and plain truths will be aired!

Now I've yet to find an exact time, day or evening, for his Valley Forge speech so here is a speculative 12:00 pm chart for January 6, 2024 marked with my study notes and set for Valley Forge, PA; when the hour is known, we'll want to adjust the timing accordingly:

See upper right corner: Mercury conjuncts the Electoral College Vote Eclipse of December 14, 2020 (@23Sag08) in the discontented 4 South Saros Series, a grumpy eclipse that qualifies as one of the sore loser inspirations for Trump's 'Big Lie'. Here, Mercury's presence @23Sag35 reveals the need for logic and reason to be expressed in Mr. Biden's J6 Address to the nation.

Also of note is that the Solar Return 2024 of Trump's J6 coup attempt actually perfects during the early morning hours of January 7, 2024 with Moon in Scorpio, sign of betrayal, and Sun @16Capricorn+, sign of government, law, and business. This blend of conscious and unconscious energies suggests a period of seriousness, strength of character, and constant vigilance, but with a tendency to remain blind to personal prejudices (The Harveys).

And perhaps it means nothing, but I'm compelled to mention that each year, when the Sun is @16Capricorn, it opposes the natal Nemesis @16Cancer of Herr Trump so that a bright light shines upon his asteroid of the 'unbeatable foe', we might say. My guess is that this will be one effect that President Biden will highlight during his J6 speech at Valley Forge. How could he not?

After all, a reference to Campaign 2024 and the soon-up-for-grabs US presidency must be part of the Sun-Nemesis picture along with Trump's seditionist actions on January 6, 2021.

Horoscope: US Chiron Return April 2024

Issuing from the late afternoon July 4, 1776 Horoscope of America (DoI) with its 4th house Chiron @20Ari08, here is the first of three Chiron Returns for America in our era. As you see, multiple astro-notes are penned on the chart, and the dates of Chiron Returns #2 and #3 are listed, upper right corner:

As you see, this Return occurs on April 20, 2024, the day of the Jupiter-Uranus Conjunction and the freedom issues and the potential for breakthroughs that the duo's 14-year meeting tends to herald.

Now other American Horoscopes may be used for Return charts with slightly different results, but one reason I continue to like the late afternoon chart for July 4, 17776 is Chiron's Sabian Symbol and the implications of its the 4th house placement of Roots: because after all, our nation did begin with pugilists (aka, combatants) fighting on behalf of independence and freedom from the Big Bully across the sea. Plus, in general the 4th house = Basis/Foundation, and Domestic Scene (and Ending/The Drain but let's not go there: these are what our country's enemies are attempting to achieve: the ending of America and the destruction of democracy here and worldwide so Vote Blue in 2024).

For as we know in 2024, a Big Bully and his comrades are inside the house and doing as much damage as they can.

Yet despite this, Chiron in Aries is an optimistic placement for the Wounded Healer centaur, aka, The Key, and suggests that for best results, our focus should be on our willingness to take risks on behalf of the freedom to do and know more and this resonates closely with the Jupiter-Uranus Conjunction - on the very same day!

American Democracy targeted in 1971!

The Powell Memo, Corporatism, and Trump circa 1999

Statism + Corporatism = Fascism. And with the third of three total Great American Eclipses approaching on April 8, 2024, this one falling within the 8 North Saros Series, Year 2024 marks a critical turning point for the United States of America, and thus for the rest of the world. For with democracy on the ballot, brutal fascism demands a do-over of the mayhem, death, and suffering its perpetrators brought upon the world in the days of Mussol*ni and Hitl*r, malignant narcissistic psychopaths as they both were.

Now in our time, another malignant narcissistic psychopath raises his Medusa head and will cheat to steal our votes. But will American voters help him in November 2024 by being that self-destructive and stupid--that eager to toss away any decent future for their children? Has empathy been deleted from the heart of America? Despite all obstacles, will a Blue Tsunami wave of voters on November 5, 2024 save our country from the barbarian onslaught that threatens us? Because that's the sizeable response it will take to push back the bullies and send them packing.

So one reason for this particular fuss is to mention that the Powell Memo of August 23, 1971 was an initiating factor in a Republican-led declaration of war on democracy by the corporate class. So asserts Thom Hartmann today in his How the Monopolists Stole the US Government: How Big Business Destroyed the American Dream, an excerpt from Thom's series of "Hidden History" books. And part of his focus in today's excerpt is Lewis Powell Jr's memo. Plus, "American Dream" reminds us of the 8 North Eclipse's theme of 'dreams and visions', yes?

Well, below is a previously published noon horoscope of the Powell Memo, and naturally the Saros Series which influenced the memorandum is signifiant (actually a letter that Lewis Powell wrote to his friend, the then-director of the Chamber of Commerce). That would be the 9 New South @27Leo15 which I believe triggered by degree the Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017--the one that Trump removed safety glasses and stared straight up at, playing his "sun god Apollo" role. Past 'Trump Events' of 1999: Where's the Integrity?

From Buzzfeed News posted January 6, 2017 came an article by Anne Helen Petersen Donald Trump Showed His Hand in 1999, But No One Was Looking concerning a couple of favorable polls in 1999 - one poll by the National Enquirer if that tells us anything. The article contains a list a few major events for Trump in 1999.

Such as: he finalized his divorce from 2nd wife Marla Maples and began dating Slovenian model Melania Knauss, he gloried in a rejuvenation of the Miss USA pageant, he floated the idea of starting a modeling agency, Big Donnie fought a coalition of Upper West Side residents including Walter Cronkite, Paul Newman, and Kofi Annan over the contruction of a huge tower near the UN building, and he "spent months flirting with a run for president."

To quote Trump in 1999, "If the Reform Party nominated me, I'd probably win. And if I did, I would ask for an immediate recount." Such a jokester! However, ongoing opinions on the street at the time included, "Trump makes things happen," and "he's at home with the guy on the street." (They're so fleeceable: he loves the uneducated, he says.) Now these are the same delusional sentiments that were expressed during the 2016 campaign! But this time is different: he's running again, but trying to avoid prison by regrasping power, and itching to make Fascism happen in America so that he can take revenge on all his enemies, please his bosses, and stay in office until he keels over.

And that, ladies and gents, is America's orange albatross.

A Chiron Return for the Orange Jupiterian

Of Fortune, Speculation, Opportunity, and Politics

Born June 14, 1946 with a 2nd house Chiron @14Lib54:44 snugged between the speculation and grand schemes pair, Jupiter and Neptune, Donald Trump's Chiron Return occurred once on September 4, 1996 (horoscope shown, below). With all the significance this cosmic event occurring around the age of 50 can bring to us all in the areas of health, past hurts, and true life purpose, 1996 seems a prominent year in which to snoop into past Trump events and endeavors for any insights that may appear.

By doing so, I found that there was a wisp in the air back then of the potential for the Orange Jupiterian to run for president, fleeting as the notion was at the time. Perhaps it was one of those PR "run it up the flag pole to see who'll salute" experiments. Anyway, Trump declined, postponing his prez bid for a future year, as we know: 2015. Horoscope: Trump Chiron Return September 4, 1996 11:29:08 pm EDT Queens, NY; Gemini Rising with Moon @16Gem49 conjunct Rigel, trine Chiron; next to rise is his natal Uranus-NN-Sun trio; Midheaven ('MC') 20AQ32; as you see, there are major oppositions between the Venus-Mars Conjunction in Cancer and the Uranus-Neptune Conjunction in Capricorn falling across the 2/8 polarity of Money, Possessions, Credit, Debt, and Shared Resources; meanwhile, the Chiron-NN-Mercury trio is (karmically) intercepted in the 5th house of Risk-Taking, while Saturn opposing Mercury suggests obstacles and Trump's "the world is against me" martyrdom whenever it suits his purpose:

So when it comes to locating actual news articles from 1996 that concern Big Donnie and are still available online, financial reports and gossip mongering are the most prominent, although these days you may find all of them fairly loaded down with annoying ads. However, here are a couple that relate to his 2nd house Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune trio with his boundary-and-taboo-breaking Jupiter stationing, as you know:

From July 22, 1996, CNN Money cited Fortune Magazine's Donald Trump: An Ex-Loser Is Back In The Money about how Trump was "pouring over $4 million into the resort" in Atlantic City, what the article called his "biggest bets." Well, we know that despite casinos being a 'sure bet' in the money-making department, "King of Debt" Trump filed for bankruptcy from his gambling misadventures, managed to avoid personal bankruptcy bwo negotiating with creditors, and, despite all the loss, the Orange Jupiterian stated that "Atlantic City Fueled A Lot Of Growth For Me", as noted in a Benzinga article by staff writer Jeannine Mancini, November 13, 2023. Obviously, the current Trump fraud trial in New York has understandably stirred interest in his past financial activities.

Meanwhile, I keep waiting to hear the words "money laundering" attached to his name especially since "A Chinese Laundry" is the Sabian Symbol for his natal 4th house Moon @22Sagittarius. Note that in the lower right corner of the chart the Moon-Chiron trine describes potentials for "Import-export activities' (!), and 'ideas can charm the public' (M. Pottenger). Well, some of the public.

Then intriguingly, transit Chiron now in mid-Aries opposes Trump's natal Chiron in mid-Libra which qualifies as the 'Full Moon culmination phase' of his Chiron Cycle, a halfway point. This opposition is at least part of the basis for 1996 events appearing on Trump's menu these days (hence this post!), plus, this Chirotic period gives him an opportunity to correct past mistakes and make amends, similar to the function of the Saturn Cycle, planet of karma and accountability. Thing is, his Chiron in Libra 'values competition' while Chiron in Aries values the need to 'know more' (M. Pottenger) - like some kind of prosecutor going after the facts a sneaky criminal tries to hide.

And if we add to the picture Trump's natal 10th house Uranus' "18Gemini" degree - his guiding (oriental) planet of chaos, disruption, and rebellion - a curious word picture appears along similar oriental lines, "Two Chinese Men Talking Chinese in a Western Crowd." For me this indicates China lurks behind the Russian involvement with the 2016 election and beyond, not that reporters have been eager in the last few years to mention Trump's China connection, other than his having a bank acount in China, plus, the patents China granted to Ivanka. Trump acts as figurehead for our enemies determined to remove of America from global leadership.

Then on December 30, 2022 came The Guardian's Trump tax returns show China bank account as six years of records released meaning his tax returns from 2015 to 2020. As noted, the Orange Jupiterian announced his run for president in 2015 with the star of extreme misfortune, Scheat involved, and 2020 was his final full year occupying the White House with document-purloining on his mind.

Now you're welcome to disagree, but my suspicion is that the Orange Jupiterian was sent to Washington to do just that.

Acting as if he's a normal candidate campaigning in a traditional US Election cycle, sans any court appearances, the indicted Mr. Trump has quite a busy schedule lined up as 2024 gets underway.

Now here's a little Astrology concerning maga Republicans, Noem and Greene, with both women operating under the nebulous influence of their deceptive, delusional Neptunian natures as they angle for a seat at Trump's dystopian table where he intends to serve the special American Carnage dish he and his enablers have been baking since at least January 20, 2017:

Then there's the sparsely filled in Wikipedia page of another fantasist, Marjorie Taylor Greene with her birth date listed as May 27, 1974 (nee Taylor); This gives her Sun in early Gemini opposed by Neptune Rx in early Sagittarius, an aspect Oken labels, The Chameleon and The Psychic, which suggests that 'MTG' is a highly sensitive individual, with a bit of a powder keg temperament, imho. She was born under the auspices of a 12 North Eclipse @3Capricorn (negative issues: selfishness and avarice) with themes of 'accepting commitments due to another person's inability to carry on'. Obviously, with Capricorn trouble with authority figures is involved, as we've seen by her behavior. A 12N Eclipse last manifested in 2010 and the next will occur on January 26, 2028 @6AQ - conjunct US 1776 South Node, a separative influence.

So continuing in US Politics in 2024, we have the curious threesome of Trump, Noem, and Greene - a trio of fantasists now popular with the QAnon/Freedom Caucus crowd, most of whom are not too shabby themselves in the fantasy department. And that's putting it mildly.

Solar Eclipses can disrupt and change the course of events on Earth, and sometimes cosmic time links exist between Solar Eclipses when one occurs at the same degree as a previous eclipse. This cosmic circumstance has them falling into different Saros Series for it's the eclipse degree that's activated, not a repeat of Saros Series (family) so that their themes are melded or blended for those who choose to consider such a 'history rhymes' situation. The Great American Eclipse 8N 2024 vs 6N 1986

Above, is a dual image of the 8 North Eclipse of April 8, 2024 @19Ari24 set for Washington DC (and conjunct Chiron = the healer? or the blindspot? with US 1776 Chiron @20Ari08) and the activating-by-degree 6 North Solar Eclipse of April 9, 1986 @19Ari06. 6 North themes concern 'relationships to authority figures, a need to take responsibility and control, and accepting commitments due to another's inability to carry on via illness or unreliability (Brady).

6 North repeated on April 30, 2022 @10Tau28 conjunct zealous anarchist Uranus in Taurus which suggests 'maga' politicians, their figurehead, and their anti-democratic backers (ex: corporatists). For as you know, intolerance (ex: racism) is one of the more negative traits of Venus-ruled Taurus along with possessiveness and selfish materialism. Notably, manipulative Pluto, planet of extreme wealth, was in Taurus during the Civil War - and the 7 North Eclipse which influenced the Civil War repeated in April 20, 2022 @29Aries - conjunct J6 Mars. Perhaps you watched the events of January 6, 2021 as a Confederate flag was carried into the Capitol Building. The symbolism was impossible to miss especially since sore losers kept yapping about a second "civil war."

Cosmic Time Links via Eclipses

Truth is, we've discussed cosmic time links between eclipses previously in a September 2023 post: October 2024 Eclipse Activates Another! from 2024 back to 2005 and representing a continuation from the eclipse links discussed in this post: from April 2024 to October 2024 and into 2025 until middle to the end of March when a 9 New North Eclipse in Aries takes the stage.

But for clues in this 2024-to-1986 consideration we look to prominent Events of 1986 to see if or how they relate to potential events and issues in 2024. The foremost event of 1986 which occurred within the 6 North Series has to be the Chernobyl Meltdown of April 26, 1986 (11:38 am BADT -4:00 Chernobyl, Ukraine). Naturally this links to Putin's Invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. However, the Invasion of 2022 falls within the 5 New South Series with its theme of 'peak events' (Brady).

And curiously enough, the tragic Challenger Explosion of January 28, 1986 also occurred under the influence of the 5 New South Eclipse which manifested on November 12, 1985 - both events = negative "peak experiences," as we may agree).

As for blending the cosmic time links, themes, and events from 2024 to 1986, I'd suggest connections involving nuclear plants due to Chernobyl, war due to Ukraine, and America's 1776 Chiron ("21Aries" = "A Pugilist Entering the Ring" shown by the US Chiron Return/s of April 20, 2024, November 8, 2024 (near Election 2024), and February 18, 2025; these return dates issue from our July 4, 1776 Horoscope and will differ somewhat depending on the US founding horoscope used. Political and financial matters are potentials.

Now the Sabian Symbol for America's 4th house Chiron may suggest war, yes, but it also spotlights the 2024 Presidential Election which, more than ever before, will determine the future of our nation. Plus, America's three-fer Chiron Return of 2024/2025 hints at some sort of a replay of events from 1776 as well with freedom and independence simmering on the hob again as Fascism knocks at our door, longing to destroy democracy and take control. This is not acceptable!

So the two eclipes link Election 2024 with the Presidential (re) Election of Ronald Reagan in November 1986 and suggests to me his administration's financial manipulations, and Reaganomics (trickle down economics), the misguided neoliberalism which is well passed its expiration date, and has been shown to be a huge scam perpetrated by the global financial system upon the 99%. This has been in the news as you may have noticed. In fact, Thom Hartmann asserts that Reagan's Neoliberalism Destroyed the Middle Class. I tend to agree.

And finally, you'll certainly think of other connections to 1986 events which may cycle 'round again for further dealing in 2024, but do check the upper right corner for a note about the 2nd house natal Jupiter of Trump opposing the degrees of the eclipses, as our orange albatross continues interfering and meddling in all he touches - and disrupts the US legal and electional systems, as instructed by his backers, both foreign and domestic. Tiresomely, Big Donnie's financial woes and shady way of doing business will continue to be spotlighted in the news and in court. Personally, I remain suspicious that off-shore accounts are hidden away (he hopes--and he's an escape hatch kind of guy).

Then to close this dreary post, perhaps you can read my note penned on the image about the potential blending of 8N and 6N themes which could transpire despite the presence of the wounded healer Chiron 'the key' which, in Mars-ruled Aries, symbolizes optimism and the freedom to do and know more (M. Pottenger).

Now there are positive indications worth hoping and fighting for!

Dec 2023 Transits to the Washington DC Horoscope

With 2024 fast approaching, let's say Farewell to 2023 by considering the bi-wheel of horoscopes, below, to close out this year of Stars Over Washington posts. Through this year and previously, multiple 'forewarned is forearmed' efforts have been made here by yours truly due to current events and to objectionable rhetoric disenterred from old-timey Aryans of yore by orator Mango Mussolini, as some have understandable labeled him.

His parroting of certain phrases from the past are intended to activate within us fear, paranoia, and a feeling of inevitability to the development of dystopian conditions which are not at all inevitable in America's future. After all, a majority of the American people have seen and fought this kind of brutal onslaught before, or are descended from those who did - and we're good, thanks. If there was ever a been-there-done-that caution, 1930s and 1940s events in Europe is it.

Because even though the Fascism Rising and the Nazis Rise to Power Solar Eclipses have repeated in our day (2022 and 2023), and because historical cycles rhyme with eclipse cycles, We the People are Not going to accept Fascism or Nazism in America.

On January 20, 2021, in the final chaotic minutes of the Trump White House, chief of staff Mark Meadows rushed to the DOJ to "hand-deliver a redacted copy" (of the "binder" of raw Russian intel) "for a last review"."

Is this why Joe Biden took the 2021 Oath of Office at 11:15 am instead of the traditional noon hour? (Horoscope shown, below.)

Well, so far, the most comprehensive details concerning the missing intelligence "binder" (stack) of raw Russian intelligence that I've found is The mystery of the missing binder: How a collection of raw Russian intelligence disappeared under Trump, a joint reporting effort by CNN.

Now there are multiple horoscopes involved with this intelligence failure and if a mere post could be an e-book, I'd publish them and we'd discuss at length. However, briefness is a virtue in the blogging sphere so let's consider a previously discussed post from way back in 2015 because I figured it would be a big deal in the world of secrets and Trump collusion with Russia, Horoscope of the RNC Full Moon Conjunct US 1776 Pluto. This Full Moon in July 2016 became exact during the RNC, and cast a lunar spotlight upon, not just America's Pluto (27Cap33), but upon our national Mercury-Pluto opposition of surveillance and secrets, those withheld, leaked, and shared by and against our intelligence agencies. After all, knowledge is power, as 'they' always say, and our Mercury-oppo-Pluto wants total control of it all.

So here's a newer version of the RNC 2016 Full Moon Horoscope snugged as a transit chart around America's Powell Horoscope ("first vote," as championed by historian-astrologer Gary Lorentzen), showing that, among other cosmic factors, this now-revealed - though still mysterious - intelligence theft by Trump, aka, agent orange - is very much a Moon-Pluto affair:

Curiously, the planet of chaos, rebellion, and assault, radical reactionary Uranus, conjuncts the IC (Foundation) of the July 2016 Full Moon Horoscope with an intriguing Sabian Symbol word picture: "A Double Promise Reveals Its inner and Outer Meaning." My suspicion is that the disappearing binder of secrets revelation of December 2023 is one clump of secrets now in process of being revealed.

Meanwhile, below is another bi-wheel of horoscopes which might interest a reader or two since the above "final chaotic minutes" of the Trump White House on Inauguration Day 2021 could have been a factor in why Joe Biden actually took the Oath of Office a few minutes prior to the usual noon time especially since Trump's term didn't officially end until noon. Perhaps the Biden team thought there could be legal or practical reasons why an early Oath-Taking was a good idea. We may never know, but here's the bi-wheel where we find Inaugural Venus @15Cap04 conjunct Inaugural Midheaven ('MC") and conjunct RNC 2016 Pluto, a transit suggesting that Joe Biden took control of the situation; a few other contacts are notated as well:
