Between the Summer Solstice 2020 Solar Eclipse in the 4 North Saros Series and the Total December 14, 2020 Solar Eclipse in the difficult 4 South Saros Series comes a significant Lunar Eclipse @8Gem38 across the 2/8 axi$ when the horoscope is set for Washington DC.

Below is the DC Horoscope of the November 30, 2020 Lunar Eclipse @8Gem38 which conjuncts US natal Uranus (8Gem55 July 4, 1776). So although this Gemini Lunar Eclipse falls within the 4 North Solar Eclipse Saros Series of June, it's actually associated with the Sagittarius Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 in the 4 South Series with its 'money and relationship' concerns. An accompanying lunar eclipse reveals a sequence - here across the Gemini-Sagittarius polarity - relating to the karmic issues within its solar eclipse themes and provides information concerning the Collective's inner and/or emotional reactions to the disruptive karmic issues and problems. Here we have a Gemini Lunar Eclipse suggesting that a variety (Gemini) of solutions should be tried prior to and during the December 14th Solar Eclipse season in the Jupiterian realms of the eclipse's Sagittarian issues of ethics and morals, as noted in the center of the horoscope; a large splash of integrity would be appreciated, too:

That warrior Mars is in 6th house of the military and 1776 Uranus is America's totem planet of revolt and upheaval, battles and conflicts in society continue with the possibility of war, and simultaneously the eclipse activates Trump's Prenatal Solar Eclipse themes (2 Old North), his PE which manifested on May 30, 1946 @9Gemini ('separation; unfortunate news but quick action can bring positive results'- Brady).

Then can this Eclipse conjunct US natal Uranus be a picture of the US military preparing for action of a shocking nature on, before, or after January 20, 2021? Perhaps so. But basically, this revealing Horoscope of the Gemini Lunar Eclipse contains a preponderance of financial indicators along with 'social and religious fanaticism' vibes via the Capricorn trio (Saturn-Pluto = Jupiter). Add to this that Mercurial Gemini is the juggler, magician, and the trader (or, traitor), isn't he/she? Well, as you see, Mercury @27Sco48 rises in 1st house, disposits the eclipse Moon, and rules the corporate 8th house and the 11th house of Groups and Associations, Hopes and Wishes.

Other chart factors include 'values and currency' planet Venus rising in the Big Business sign of intense, brooding Scorpio and leading a Locomotive shape. A 'ruthless executive determined on success' is indicated by astrological Venus, the engine who, as an actor in our cosmic drama, can be vengeful, envious, and petty, or, more positively can signify some variety of diplomacy. Perhaps you've heard a few economic pundits warning about the potential for devaluation of the US dollar so we'll see if matters continue to skew in that downward direction. Others have hinted that Trump might crash the US economy if he loses in November. This could be what this eclipse shows especially since his PE is activated, as noted above, and the Total 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14 2020 'eclipses' his natal Moon-South Node while opposing natal Sun-North-Node in Gemini, as we've previously discussed. However events turn out for him, Trump's 4/10 Home-Career axis is intimately involved.

Now if you will, check around the outside of the above horoscope and you'll see planetary placements of the Federal Reserve ('the Fed') based on the entity's secret organizational meeting on Jekyll Island, Georgia, timed by the December 1, 1910 New Moon @8Sag49, marked in green (3rd house). With the US economy shaky as Election Day 2020 approaches, will the November Lunar Eclipse uncover leaks and/or Secrets of the Federal Reserve? Or will it simply uncover more facts concerning Trump and Co's fraud and corruption? Note that some Fed planets (in green) are listed simply as '1910' and the Fed's 1910 Mars-Jupiter rising = 2020 Venus which suggests using guile vs force when competing. Plus, bottom right, you see listed the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction and the third of three Jupiter-Pluto Conjunctions ('the Fed') both of which relate to the financial implications of this eclipse.

Also messily penned around the chart are the Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto of America (July 4, 1776) and of course, the hairy gorilla in the room (3rd house) is transit Saturn @28Cap21 and the taskmaster's continued ruffling of US natal Pluto Rx (27Cap33), a period of power and control issues, conditions too large to easily handle, and a lack of resources. Meanwhile transit Pluto @23Cap15 continues his opposition to Trump's natal Saturn in watery Cancer with Trump's new barricade of a wall built around the White House. Perhaps now his watery Saturn, planet of walls, borders, and fear, feels safe now. But neglecting his responsibilities during this Saturn-Pluto transit garners him little applause or reward so for 'best results' from the 2020 Election, cheating really is the only 'solution' for Trump and the GOP.

And significantly, all the Capricorn action is occurring on and around America's Inauguration Midheaven for all the world to see. Yes, Saturn to MC is a picture of Election 2020 and the assumption of control but the placement can also indicate a 'fall from grace' so we have that going against us.

Now as you see, coming right up is the midpoint between Saturn and Midheaven ('MC') rising on the Ascendant which forms a picture of 'hindered growth, shared anxiety, separation, and/or unfortunate circumstances' for some. However, the Saturn-MC duo can also denote important people! (Ebertin) with the difference depending upon other chart factors, as is always the case.

Now in closing, I want to add a note with cosmic time link implications:

The 4 South Solar Eclipse on December 14, 2020 @23Sagittarius potentially activates by degree the June 13, 1984 Lunar Eclipse @23Sag which was the accompanying Lunar Eclipse of the May 30, 1984 Solar Eclipse @9Gemini - in the 4 North Saros Series (as is the Summer Solstice 2020 Eclipse). To me, if not to you, this amount of reciprocal cosmic energy seems significant given our current conditions of light vs dark, and so, as usual, comparing the cosmic time link between years 1984 (Reagan: 're-elected') and 2020 (Trump: probably bwo cheating) through the 'rhyming' of historical events would most likely be informative for the curious seeker.

DC Horoscopes: Feb 2017 Solar and Lunar Eclipses

February 2017 'Wild Card' Eclipses with Murky Karmic Conditions

In February 2017, the first eclipse of the year is a Lunar Eclipse on February 10, 2017 @22Leo followed by the February 26, 2017 Solar Eclipse @8Pisces in the 19 South Saros Series. Here are both charts set for Washington DC; please enlarge to read notes for not all chart factors will be discussed in the following text:

19 South last manifested on February 16, 1999 @27Aquarius, the position of US natal Moon (We the People) for those who use a late afternoon chart (July 4, 1776). The next Solar Eclipse in 1999 was the 'King of Terror' (or 'Alarm') eclipse which had apparently been predicted by doctor, seer, and astrologer Nostradamus with its Fixed Grand Cross of planets in mid-degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. And into the New Millennium, we know what the so-called 'War on Terror' brought the world, don't we?

The August 11, 1999 Solar Eclipse is aka, The Mother of All Eclipses because it's in the 1 North Saros Series. 1 North will repeat across the continental US as The Great American Eclipse on August 21, 2017 @29Leo, a critical degree that conjoins Mr. Trump's natal Ascendant and his rising star Regulus. This will 'pull in' his natal Mars @26Leo as well and gives us pause when we consider that Mr. Trump was born into the 2 Old North Saros Series which occurred on May 30, 1946 @9Gemini--conjunct America's revolutionary planet of anarchy, Uranus. His natal Uranus is prominent in his natal 10th house (the world stage) and my suspicion is that the US and global Million Woman Marches the day after his inauguration, plus, other protests against Trump's Uranian presidency are only the beginning of the disruption and chaos he and his ilk will cause. I sincerely hope not, but there it is.

Unconscious Lunar vs Conscious Solar

All that aside, my purpose in this post today is to publish the February 2017 Lunar and Solar Eclipse horoscopes (set for DC) but also to mention a bit about the role of a Lunar Eclipse in relation to a Solar Eclipse. Naturally, the astrological Moon represents the unconscious and the Sun aligns with the conscious mind. Instinctive habits and childhood are in the realms of the Moon while one's adult personality and purpose are solar functions symbolically seen in horoscopes by the Sun and its condition via sign, degree, house placement, and aspects to other planets and points.

With a Lunar Eclipse, the sign relates to how we instinctively respond to karmic events and circumstances so the February 2017 Lunar Eclipse in Leo signifies pride, vanity, conceit, egoism, and drama with a potential for leadership qualities. If there is spiritual support for karmic progress to be made it is seen via the house polarity of the eclipse, a Full Moon, and in this case, the Lunar Eclipse manifests across the 6/12 victim-savior axis in Washington, as you see, and this also includes Health Matters, Jobs, Police, and Civil and Military Service. And of course, in Mundane Astrology, politics, backroom deals, large institutions such as hospitals and prisons, karma (reaping what's been sown), and self-undoing are associated with the secretive 12th house of The Unconscious.

As you see, the previously occurring Solar Eclipse @9Vir21 (Sept 1, 2016) is also in 12th house of this chart but there's a new solar influence coming on February 26th which will override the effects of the Virgo Solar Eclipse and its themes of truth-tackling and realism--which struggled because it was opposed by delusional, deceptive Neptune in Pisces. On one level, Neptune has expressed in the Collective as fake (Neptune) news or facts (Saturn). Yet realistic, authentic Saturn does not care for Kellyanne Conway's promotion and use of "alternate facts" as on the January 22nd Meet the Press (video)! But what else does Mrs. Conway have to offer the public? She may hear Mr. Trump's "You're fired!" sooner than she thinks if he no longer considers her useful.

Still, it is a fact that the February 10th Lunar Eclipse occurs prior to the February 26th Solar Eclipse, a condition reflecting the waning or declining phase of the Moon from Full brightness to New shadiness. This suggests a passive response on our parts to what the Pisces Solar Eclipse has in store for Humanity (11th house). And since the 11th house is also the house of the US Congress (senators and reps alike) we may expect Neptunian actions of a secretive and/or undermining nature to be taken against the public with Pisces ruled by Jupiter, sub-ruled by Neptune--and Neptune as Key Planet (a 3m-22s-degree orb to the Solar Eclipse).

So instead of Neptune influencing a solar eclipse by opposition as in September 2016 into 2017, Neptune will now conjoin the February Solar Eclipse which hints at the confusion, delusion, disappointment, obfuscation, lies, and even fraud and corruption which may be expected from a Trump administration peopled by amateurs, propagandists, anarchists, bankers, and foreclosure kings (like nervous tic Mnuchin). And with Neptune as ruler of mass media, some political pundits, media personalities, and reporters are already kow-towing to Trump's way of doing things (as in, no criticism allowed). The Trump administration prefers hiding behind Neptune's mask and a solar eclipse, the dark of the Moon (publicity), in the shady sign of Pisces is an opportune time for unpopular activities.

However, there are several planetary patterns in the charts, particularly in the Lunar Eclipse chart describing the public reaction to the Feb 26th Solar Eclipse conditions. Two Kite patterns (high-flying success) involve the Moon (We the People) and one Kite includes the Sun (leadership). A Mystic Rectangle of practical mysticism made up of positive sextiles and trines provides inspiration, and two T-Squares (though one only expresses at MC and involves corruption and improbable schemes) tell a tale of 'The Big Picture' directed by powerful Pluto at 18 Capricorn, the Uranus-Neptune New World Order degree spotlighted in 1993. This apex Pluto parallels asteroid Cupido which denotes The Family, The Underworld Syndicate, and Corporatism which are the puppet-master entities that exploit us. Jupiter-Uranus = apex Pluto suggests devices that transform the world (Munkasey) and/or sudden changes in financial conditions (Ebertin).

The Lunar Eclipse's degrees of Moon and Sun are revealing for Luna is at the 'worst foot forward' or 'foot-in-mouth' degree of Leo and the Sun's Sabian Symbol is: "A Big Bear Sitting Down and Waving All Its Paws" which may refer to Mr. Trump (his Leo Mars-ASC-Regulus on the Leo end of the Full Moon) and Vladimir Putin of Russia, a country known by its symbol of a Big Bear.

With Pisces There Are Karmic Implications Afoot

The karmic implications of a (secretive) Pisces Solar Eclipse imply much difficulty uncovering hidden relationships and the causes of negative conditions due to a multiplicity of veiled factors which are made even more obscure because the Virgo-Pisces axis and solar eclipse are intercepted--here, across the Self-Will axis (5/11) in Washington, DC. A karmic stalemate is in force as the eclipse manifests and affects the Collective (around the time of the Feb 10th Lunar Eclipse) although the interception will disappear as the chart and the year progress. Dream interpretation may be helpful for those who are interested in finding insights as they drift up from the personal and the Collective Unconscious--as long as taking action isn't allowed to be stymied or negated by Piscean apathy or laziness.

My suspicion is that most people could agree that the positive traits of Pisces such as compassion and creative inspiration are much preferred when dealing with societal problems and issues rather than austerity measures that cause suffering such as cutting social programs of Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Social Security. Such cuts will not only cause suffering and harm to the American people but will seriously affect the US economy, damage already in the works under the GOP 'repeal and replace' ideology meant to sabotage the ACA.

The time for apathy has long passed, dear reader! For as progressive broadcaster and author Thom Hartmann has often said, Democracy is not a spectator sport...participate!

A Full Moon Spoon in June?

Full Moons, whether Lunar Eclipses or not, indicate a focus on relationship and partnerships issues, awareness, and/or revelations with the stronger Lunar Eclipses bringing to light what's been hidden in the unconscious or previously undisclosed by others. They also indicate fulfillment of something begun at the previous New Moon, and since the last lunation was the Solar Eclipse of June 1, 2011 in Gemini, the 6.15.11 Lunar Eclipse carries within its energies some level of importance for the collective. This eclipse of the Moon is snugly sandwiched between two Solar Eclipses, a rather rare celestial event!

As you know, the sign of Sagittarius is ruled by abundant Jupiter, so financial disclosures may be a 'wild card' target for Luna's brightening influences in June. Alternately, brewing scandals may erupt so keep your ears to the ground and your eyes on YouTube.

Plus, the recent announcement that the Pentagon Papers will now be fully revealed may be part of the disclosure scenario of June 2011 as they'll soon be published unredacted (including online) and will go back to the 1940s and up until 1967. After all these years, we may yet find out what the 'big deal' was really about when the information was leaked by whistle blower Daniel Ellsberg and the New York Times published it.

Such a political hullabaloo was created, suitable for massive diversion from the business which should have been taken care of in Washington DC, circa 1971!

Well, today is the 40th anniversary of the NYT beginning to publish (June 13, 1971) the leaked info so you may wish to snag yourself a read of an interview concerning the Pentagon Papers on Daniel Ellsberg's website where you can read the 1971 headlines for yourself.

Lunar Eclipse June 15, 2011 and America's Natal Chart

So Wednesday's Lunar Eclipse Sun will highlight US natal Mars @ '22Gem' the day prior to the eclipse (6.14.11), a 'transit' to US n Mars which indicates taking action on plans that have been in discussion or on the drawing board for a while. Being too pushy, hot-headed, or impulsive are distinct possibilities but should be discouraged at this time. Plus, injuries to head or face, fevers, cuts, or bruises may come someone's way, especially if they're acting too brash or careless.

The eclipse triggers as well the natal square between US n Mars and n Neptune, one of the weakest areas in America's national psyche with its confused or deceptive motivations and actions vibe. 'Massive army' may also be a description of a Mars/Neptune contact, and that, we got plenty of. Too much in fact, for our 'global police force' role groweth old, unwieldy, and unsustainable.

Therefore, with the Lunar Eclipse Sun squaring US n Neptune on Wednesday, the US government, the president, and we-the-people are 'on our own' in a sense. Those in charge are elusive and/or deceptive so trusting them is a fool's game (as usual, yes, but this condition is highlighted by the June 15th eclipse - we may find out where we erred in doing so.) Someone will be intentionally misleading and clear thinking is quite impossible for we may be overly transfixed by the lustrous Full Moon's revealed secrets!

Traveling over water may be risky, too, and perhaps we should stick to creative or spiritual pursuits since hard facts may be impossible to determine or to confirm. (Perhaps what is allegedly revealed is a pack of lies!)

Having the eclipsed Moon opposite US n Mars may denote that the public (Moon) opposes the actions (Mars) being taken for they may not be popular or coordinate with current social trends or opinions. In any case, revelations of all sorts may occur on several levels this week and for the next few weeks - at least until the Solar Eclipse of July 1, 2011 @ 9Can12, which begins a brand new Saros Series, but the Lunar Eclipse's contact with our nation's natal Mars/Neptune square may give us less understanding rather than more...or, we may receive an incorrect picture or concept.

Donald Trump Is a Lunar Eclipse Baby!

Donald J. Trump: Followed by a 'Moon Shadow'

Mr. Donald J. Trump was born on June 14, 1946 at 10:54 am edt in Queens, New York. As the Cosmos would have it, a Lunar Eclipse perfected that very day at 2:41:36 pm edt @23Sag04 making him an 'eclipse baby'. As you see in the Lunar Eclipse horoscope, the Moon opposes the 24Gem04 Sun and represents a culmination phase to his Prenatal Solar Eclipse of May 30, 1946 @8Gem48 in the 2 Old North Saros Series (endings and separations--Brady) which conjoins America's natal Uranus (8:55).

Below, you see the Lunar Eclipse chart on the day of his birth; please enlarge to read some basic notes concerning Mr. Trump, an "eclipse baby" with unconscious, inherited habits and attitudes that are difficult (impossible, apparently) for him to recognize in himself which then makes it impossible for him to improve upon such habits--even the ones that are no longer practical in the here-and-now or that fail to lead to the results he wants:

Having quirky maverick Uranus in opposition to the eclipse Moon increases the chances of disruption in all things lunar: home, family, relationships, public relations, emotional security. As we've seen, the man is always ready for a fight (Mars rising) and likes to stir up trouble even where none exists. These qualities are in addition to his 2 Old North Solar Eclipse themes which already denote separations and the endings of unions. Then his Sagittarian Moon suggests a changeable nature that can be moody and superficial, and can fall suddenly into despondency when negatively triggered.

As you know, a Sag Moon can be egotistical, arrogant, narrow-minded, sectarian, and may think it's superior to everyone else. Identifying with certain social values for unconscious emotional reasons, Mr. Trump lacks objectivity when considering social issues and though he aspires to lofty goals, he lacks a realistic view of life.

Mommy issues at birth and later on are also suggested here with an out-of-bounds Moon (was Mum emotionally detached from little Donny? or perhaps ill or absent?) which conjoins the separative South Node (of the Moon). His Moon-SN also hints at bad timing and difficulty contacting his emotions. Thinking, dealing Mercury and manipulative power broker and Underworld figure Pluto, the saboteur, are also OOBs of the earthly plane and off doing who knows what with their qualities functioning quite unconsciously for Mr. Trump who is susceptible to his unconscious and needy lunar issues--so desperate for approval and respect.

Now as you see, the houses of his planets in the Lunar Eclipse chart differ from those of his natal horoscope and my suggestion is to read this chart 'as if' it's his natal chart (which it almost is--same day) to gain more insight for it is certainly of influence. Here the Moon rules his 10th house of Career and Public Status and the sign of one's Moon signifies the reigning need (Tyl) which, for Donald Trump, means Jupiter-ruled Sagittarian themes such as freedom, wanderlust, idealism, expansion, the broadening of vistas, and boundary crossing. So he deals with the difficult Gemini Solar Eclipse themes in his life through the lens of Sagittarius via the energies of this particular Lunar Eclipse. And since the Lunar Eclipse is in the 3rd house of Communications, we both know how keen he is on expressing himself without boundaries or restraints: in speeches and rallies, and in tweets to the world (no middle men).

Karmic planet Saturn now transits through Sagittarius and visits off and on this Lunar Eclipse degree. Simultaneously, Saturn contacts fixed stars Ras Alhague and Lesath which are triggered (22--24Sag) and made prominent by their conjunction with Trump's Prenatal Lunar Eclipse. Actually, we've discussed Mr. Trump's Moon-SN-Ras Alhague trio and Saturn's visitation previously but the keywords for Lesath (Upsilon Scorpii; sting of the scorpion's tail) should be noted: potential for accidents, catastrophes, or surgeries such as appendectomies or hemorrhoid removal (Ebertin-Hoffmann); acids, danger, desperation, immorality (deVore).

Now along with his out-of-bounds Mercury (what will he say or tweet next?), this Lunar Eclipse chart describes only a part of the complex psyche now residing (part time) in the White House but it can reveal some of the unconscious urges, habits, and attitudes that are 'in control' of our nation at the present time. Those born with major links to eclipses lead eventful and often public lives and I believe eclipse baby Trump's Lunar Eclipse chart tells of a broadcaster and promoter of Jupiterian proportions who does not, or is unable to, realize just how much unconscious information he shares with the world (gives away) each time he opens his mouth or tweets his thoughts at us. His deeper motivations are not as hidden as he believes, and to cap it all, Mr. Trump's fantasy-prone loose-lips/indiscretion tendencies are ably described by a problematic Mercury-Neptune square with its deceit, cunning, and mis-perceptions of a *sneaky mind.

*Mercury-Neptune square = The Sneaky Mind--Alan Oken. He adds that, "A conscious redirection on the part of the individual can result in a realignment of this or any other challenging aspect." Yet an ability for conscious redirection is what's difficult to impossible for Mr. Trump whose level of self-awareness at age 70 is seriously in doubt and must unfortunately affect our nation with what some say is his lunacy. Lunacy! Something that ramps up, say police departments, on a Full Moon!

However, there is a professional opinion that Trump Isn't Crazy so to be fair, there's that.

Still, it turns out that Strange Things Do Happen at a Full Moon...and on June 14, 1946, one of those strange things was the birth of the very intense Donald J. DC Horoscope: The Very First Eclipse of 2020

Looking Ahead with The Past in Mind: a 2nd Look at the January 10, 2020 Eclipse

On January 10, 2020 will manifest a penumbral lunar eclipse, aka, an appulse eclipse (light not fully dimmed); for more info see Keith's Lunar Eclipse Page. Yet as some readers know, my focus with solar and lunar eclipses and their effects on history and society is on their degrees--their symbolism, conjunctions, oppositions, and other prominent factors related to their particular place of manifestation in the Zodiac. Sensitive degrees are created when eclipses occur upon them and can remain 'sore' for years as is the case with sensitive critical degrees (Mansions of the Moon are not covered here!) which may suggest possibilities for crisis conditions and/or events--at the least, disruption--usually externally with solar eclipses and internally with lunar ones.

Therefore, it's notable that the January 10, 2020 Lunar Eclipse, although not Total, is at the critical degree of 20Cancer00, plus, this is the first eclipse of 2020 so its cosmic 'wild card' energies are imprinted upon the entire year. What 'cosmic blinks' are in store? What shenanigans are perpetrated in the dark? What can Castor reveal? Related may be the fact that a 12 South Solar Eclipse occurred conjunct Castor on July 11, 2010. Will a discovery or two concerning 2010 issues and events turn up during 2020? Consider 12 South themes: 'a long-term worrisome or draining issue at first seems worse then suddenly clears with successful outcomes' (Brady). Okay!

As for the January 2020 Lunar Eclipse, the Cancer-Capricorn axis is ruled by Moon and Saturn which relates to security and domestic concerns, plus, has ambition, strategy, status, and direction interests. Set for Washington DC, the horoscope of the January 10, 2020 Lunar Eclipse @20Can00 reveals a variety of reactions to the previous Solar Eclipse of December 26, 2019 @4Cap07 (see eclipse list linked, below) with its 'traumatic transformation' theme. And obviously, a 'new start' is heralded by a New Year on January 1, 2020 so what may we expect for Year 2020 besides the major changes of direction timed by the January 12, 2020 Conjunction of karmic planets Saturn and Pluto (@22Cap46)? For as you know, eclipses also tend to disrupt earthly affairs and bring changes of direction although no one can say with complete confidence exactly what's ahead (other than Campaign 2020 and the usual political antics and overblown promises). However, new social, financial, and political orders are suggested and point toward another Great Conjunction in the 20-year cycle of 'societal planets' Jupiter and Saturn begins again on December 21, 2020 @00AQ29--at Winter Solstice, and conjuncts the US POTUS Sun degree.

So let's have a glance at the 'cosmic blink' eclipse horoscope that 'opens' 2020, below, for eclipses are always Uranian in nature--erratic, sudden, sometimes shocking, or perhaps merely full of surprises. Adding extra information, as noted, we have the lunar eclipse activating one of the Gemini Twins, Castor, a star containing possibilities for 'sudden fame or loss, mental illness, murder', and/or 'the crippling of limbs' (A. Louis). Yet Castor is also a writers' star and suggests much creativity in its positive manifestations. Eclipses 'work through' fixed stars and strengthen or empower their potentials - and vice versa.

DC Horoscope: January 10, 2020 Lunar Eclipse @20Cancer00 Conjunct Castor:

Hour of Mercury (time for change) but Mercury is out-of-bounds of the earthly plane ('OOBs') but here we see the little fella posited in 8th house with Jupiter, South Node, Sun, Saturn, Pluto, and asteroid Ceres ('democracy' restricted or over-powered by Saturn-Pluto authoritarianism; plus, potential interruption of food supplies). The 2/8 axis (Taurus-Scorpio) is emphasized (Money, Shared Resources, the National Treasury--what's left of it--Insurance, Debt, Corporatism, Transformation, the Occult, Death, etc). And the Jupiter-SN conjunction suggests clashes and conflicts of interest between social and ethical aims vs current trends and traditions, issues of bad timing, difficulties or delays in or concerning foreign lands, and genuine morality that could suffer from false religious dogma...as it has before. In addition, Mercury's OOBs condition can relate to messages from an unknown source and/or to someone who is out-of-touch, here with 8th house matters and issues. Perhaps he's wandering off from a microphone or podium, forgetful of where he is and losing the thread!

Now we should also consider that the January lunar eclipse is the cosmic 'bookend' of the December 26, 2019 Solar Eclipse @4Cap07 in the 3 South Saros Series with themes of traumatic transformation and relationship endings (Brady) so its themes are yet another suggestion of major changes afoot. Plus, the Cancer eclipse hints that the public reacts to the Capricorn eclipse of 2019 and its effects in emotional and/or patriotic or nationalistic ways; Trump's insistence on protectionism comes to mind. Personally, I react with, 'America going it alone is a weakened America' while the sabotage and undermining of our nation as led by Trump continues.

As you see, communicating Mercury, planet of young people and ruler of the chart (ASC 13Gem53 with Trump's chaos-creating natal Uranus first to rise), conjoins the Sun @20Capricorn, the sign of government, law and business, so Mercury is also at critical degree. This conjunction on a political level suggests a leader (Sun) fond of his own ideas (Mercury) who doesn't listen (Mercury) to others (Full Moon = the public, and/or women). Sound like anyone you know, and perhaps like the continuing lawsuits, investigations, and scandals now in the news which are certain to continue into and through 2020? As you know, fantasist Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square blocks both his hearing and his understanding!

Then on a behavioral level, there's quirky Uranus unaspected in money sign Taurus which emphasizes the planet's isolation and detachment qualities while hinting at spurt-like bursts of energy. Without sufficient channels through which to discharge the intense energy of Uranus which aspects would provide, nervous electrical tension can build up and increase restlessness and feelings of discontent. Uranian flashes of genius can still occur but there's less impetus to change rigid behavior patterns--implicated in this case are Taurean traits of possessiveness, selfishness, greed, and intolerance. And since on a behavioral level I often ascribe planet Uranus as a representative for Donald Trump (it's his guiding planet), I suspect this horoscope with Uranus in 12th house of Karma and Politics shows that he's feeling 'unique and unmatched' in the political arena (Tierney). However, to me Trump is more of an embarrassing sticks-out-like-a sore-thumb figure with his natal Uranus in duplicitous Gemini. And although Uranus is unaspected, it is apex planet in a midpoint picture:

Venus-North-Node = Uranus: unsettling news; disrupted meetings or contacts; polite (?) indifference to ideas (Munkasey); a quick liason; unusual friends or encounters (Ebertin). Note that Munkasey gives the Venus-North-Node pairing potentials for 'poor management or bungling of wealth' and/or 'society shapes collective destiny'. And who's our top bungler?!?

The final factor I'll mention in this my second look at the January 2020 Lunar Eclipse chart is transit Jupiter @8Cap55 opposing Trump's natal 11th house Mercury (8Can55) suggesting potentials for his grand ideas, plans, and schemes to be rejected outright and/or blocked by others, while lots of talk and no action continues as the order of the day (except for the sneaky things he and the GOP are up to while Trump distracts with his nonsense--consciously or unbeknownst in his role as the 'useful idiot'). Misjudgments on his part will affect financial and other matters (still), and more of his words and rhetoric will meet with criticism. Unimpressive may be the word, plus, Trump's lack of popularity comes to mind--and the January 2020 Lunar Eclipse will certainly uncover new facts that lead to more criticism, a lack of legal success, and a previously unknown critical or crisis situation, condition, secret or scandal--at least, it will probably uncover a tidbit or two not revealed by the 'Christmas Solar Eclipse' as 2019 concerns carry over into 2020.

Lunar Eclipse 29Gem21 Horoscope Dec 21, 2010

Set for Washington DC, the horoscope of the December 21, 2010 Lunar Eclipse 29Gem21 has financial and business implications for the USA and falls upon a critical, crisis-ridden 29th degree. Old business needs to head on up and move on out, but will it?

So perhaps I'm skipping ahead a bit posting the Dec 2010 Lunar Eclipse chart now since much will occur between now and the end of the year - but I think it's pertinent to today's debate on the potential for a double dip recession here in America. I will focus on the eclipse as it pertains to America yet because other nations and entities will be affected by the eclipse as well, I will list them and which of their natal planets are affected at the end of this post when I update it later on. So bookmark, if you wish, and leave your own comments, if you will.

Lunar Eclipse December 21, 2010 3:13:16 am edt Washington DC; Hour of Mercury which is Rx and Lord of the Eclipse; Moon and Mars are out-of-bounds; ASC 6Sco57 with Venus 13Sco55 rising; Eclipse falls across the 2/8 axis of Shared Resources, Big Business, Transformation, Earning Ability, Possessions, and Talents.

You see a full 2nd house containing Mercury 26Sag16 Rx, Sun 29Sag21, North Node (NN) 2Cap44, and Pluto 4Cap57 conjunct Eros (a piercing); Mars is just barely in 3rd house @ 10Cap10. Mars and Pluto are opposing US natal planets in Cancer which are marked outside the chart and snugged around 9th cusp. Even the transiting SN 2Can44, a separative Saturnian point, is affecting natal Venus in December 2010.

(Other natal placements from America's natal chart are marked as well as is Inaugural Moon 2009 which sits upon President Obama's natal Mc - here both are being transited by the difficult Mars/Saturn midpoint in 1st house...Mars/Saturn = Moon (the people): moodiness or depression; a fit of weakness; Mars/Sat = Mc: the power of resistance; endurance; necessity to overcome many difficulties; mourning.)

Lord of the Eclipse Mercury makes only one applying aspect, a square to moneybags Jupiter indicating judgments made based on insufficient or faulty evidence, a search for an easy way out, poor planning, and a lack of the discipline needed to attain goals. Check the business and financial facts before furthering your plans and don't jump to conclusions! Especially with a Solar Eclipse opposing US natal Sun (the leader) awaiting us on the other side of the New Year - at another critical degree.

In the Lunar Eclipse chart, Mercury represents its usual things: young people, communicators such as reporters, pundits, and writers, commerce and trade, modes of travel, and thinking processes. Equipment breakdowns are possible, and contracts and negotiations proceed with difficulties, fits and starts. Mercury Rx often indicates delays or mistakes, and reviews and rethinking are needed.

With a red dotted line, I have taken the liberty of sketching a sort of YOD pattern (crisis; turning point; special task; Finger of God) with the Pluto/ASC sextile focusing on the 8th cusp, in Gemini, the dualistic sign of duplicity and multiplicity. Problems continue as this Lunar Eclipse reveals hidden secrets in finance and business. And there's trickster Pan 6Gem47 Rx ('panic') sits upon the eclipse's 8th cusp with gold-hoarding Midas 8Gem27 Rx nearby and conjunct US natal Uranus 8Gem55.

With 'Big Business' Scorpio rising, Mars and Pluto rule the chart; their applying aspects are as follows:

1. Mars semisquare Neptune 26AQ27 (1A18) in 4th house and still visiting with America's natal Moon (we-the-people) causing a sense of rootlessness, homelessness and foreclosures, and a large amount of fraud directed at royally hornswaggling us. Chiron 27AQ07 is there, too, which shows that our perceptual shields are wide open - we know that fraud is the order of the day but generally most of us feel powerless (Moon/Neptune) to do much about it. (We must not give up on America!!!);

2. Mars semisquare Chiron (1A57), and thus US natal Moon: irritation with wounding leads to action and/or emotional outbursts (?);

3. Mars square Saturn 16Lib06 (5A56, and in the midst of our US Saturn Return 14Lib48 = 12th cusp) = aggression alternates with apathy, timing may be off, and hindsight is 20/20.

Pluto's applying aspects are as follows:

1. Pluto sextile ASC (2A00): willpower to persevere, can move forward and recover, and has a need to overcome the fear of, and obsession with, loss.

2. and 3. Pluto opposing Moon (5A36): bitterness and resentment toward those who want to control us, and a need for compromise; 3. extremist or manipulative behavior, a lust for authority, and intolerance toward unfair social or political systems.

You see marked on the chart (in pink) a multi-T-Square which is dissociate with both Mutable and Cardinal planets involved, and all are pointing to the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Pisces in the 5th house of Speculation, Gambling, and Creative Pursuits.

Though not apex here in a T-SQ, Mr. Hades still forms a midpoint picture with the societal planets, Jupiter and Saturn so we have...

Jupiter/Saturn = Pluto: any amount of work or trouble in order to attain the desired aims slowly but surely; immense efforts; separation; restriction; violent changes (Ebertin.)

Pluto is apex in two other midpoint pictures...

Sun/Mars = Pluto: fanaticism or one-sidedness in work; making great efforts; unscrupulous procedures; overtaxing one's strength; violence; war.

Venus/Neptune = Pluto: a painful renunciation.

Update Oct 19, 2010: actually what I want to add here relates in part to the next Solar Eclipse of January 4, 2011 which opposes US natal Sun (the leader) and to the Sygyzy Moon (previous lunation) of the attacks of 9/11/01 = a Lunar Eclipse on June 21, 2001 @ 13Cap39, the degree and minute of the Jan 4, 2011 Solar Eclipse - issues and conditions of 2001 return to 2011.

Plus, the upcoming Dec 21, 2010 Lunar Eclipse falls, as you know, upon a crisis degree 29Gem21 (one degree from 9/11's Moon) and bodes ill for financial markets and the US economy. With the Solar Eclipse of Jan 4, 2011 stimulating a crisis degee (13Cap38/39, we find in its Sabian Symbol ('13Cap' = "A Fire Worshiper") that 'overestimation of personal capacity' is a caution for this degree which may affect many areas of life but here we speak of financial considerations and war preparations.

Interestingly, the January 2011 Solar Eclipse has 00Can36 upon its 8th cusp (High Finance; Transformation; the Occult) when the chart is set for NYC (4:02:32 am est) which conjures for us the Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse Series prior to the 9/11 attacks = *3 North Series which manifested on June 21, 2001 @ 00Can11, a World Point of Prominence:

'overexcessive; traumatic transformations through news received, perhaps concerning young people; large-scale projects are wanted yet one must not get carried away'. As we know, the Bush-Cheney administration and the Pentagon did get very much 'carried away' as they intended all along (with One World Government plans, y'know), and our nation teeters upon the brink of bankruptcy now (9/11's Moon '28Gem' (we-the-people) = "BANKRUPTCY.")

There are more time/degree links to the Jan 4, 2011 Solar Eclipse and one is even closer by degree: the Lunar Eclipse of July 5, 2001 which is the Syzygy Moon (prior lunation) to 9/11/01 and occurred @ 13Cap39 precisely conjunct Jan 4, 2011's Solar Eclipse degree. Similar issues return, and may relate to terrorism and war, yes, but also relates closely to banking failures and/or financial crashes, sad to say.

The Lunar Eclipse degree of June 21, 2001 00Can11, appears on the 8th cusp of the Jan 4, 2011 Solar Eclipse when set for NYC and July 5, 2001's Venus at crisis degree 29Tau55 exactly opposes 2009's US Inaugural Moon 29Sco45 and sits upon the DESC in the Jan 4, 2011 Solar Eclipse chart.

And when we set the July 5, 2001 Lunar Ecl chart for the White House, we get the Mars/Pluto in Sag pair snugged around the chart's IC ('the drain'; endings; domestic scene) so we have:

Mars/Pluto = MC: learning to gain control and use powerful or extreme measures for increasing stature or standing; fulfillment of certain ambitions by attaining influence; principles which propel you to success; dealing with might on either side of any issue; major job maneuver; ambition and confidence; danger from a higher power. (Munkasey; Tyl; Ebertin.)

Michael Munkasey gives the Mars/Pluto combo of energies as: 'using police or military forces against criminal elements; attacks using powerful weapontry; a police state with rigid military controls; using suppression and torture as a means for enforcing policy; wars; mayhem; chaos; rape; exporting political theory and upheaval to others as an objective. That last (which i italicized) reminds me of the Bush-Cheney-neocon 'justification' for preemptive war: "fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here." Orwell much?

Okay, I know this info is on the convoluted side, but if you've managed to stick with me so far, let's recap: the prediction by astrologers and economists that a market crash may be upon us by the end of 2010 is shown in certain eclipse horoscopes which relate to the attacks of 9/11/01 and its lunations.

Jan 4, 2011's Solar Eclipse time links by degree to the Lunar Eclipse which occurred prior to the attacks of 9/11/01 (both @ 13Cap38/39) along with 9/11's Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse (PE) 00Can+ so we may expect similar conditions and issues to arise as we near the end of 2010 and during the first half of 2011.

And if we remember, there were early New Millennial market problems such as the Dot Com Bubble/Crash, plus, market failures and totterings ushered in by the attacks of 9/11 (World 'Trade' Center), so we get a picture of 9/11's market influences rippling into 2011 (including 9/11's unusual 'stop-put options' when mysterious entities made mega-bucks out of the ashes of the World Trade Center attacks, and other market anomalies of that time) which may be reflected by the Dec 21, 2010 Lunar Eclipse @ 29Gem21 (technology and communications of Gemini) since 9/11's Moon 28Gem is conjoined by the Lunar Ecl as well as by Jupiter (money) 28Gem21 in the July 5, 2001 Lunar Ecl chart. The Jan 2011 Solar Eclipse's 'Balance of Power' flavor points to potential trade imbalances such as China's manipulation of its currency.

So as you know, we always look for at least 3 indicators in support of a event or factor in horoscopes before we predict what is likely to manifest in the physical realm. Concerning the end of 2010 and the first half of 2011, there are many indicators of societal problems that they have resulted in this convoluted analysis which I salute you for courageously reading to the end.

Combining Material with Spiritual: Chiron's Bridge and Purpose

Concerning difficult times ahead, let us close with excerpts from the Foreward of The Astrological Aspects by the great Charles E. O. Carter whose Law of Nativity and Rule of Excitation must be kept constantly in mind when predicting physical manifestations, whether positive or negative:

"No material influence, astrological or otherwise, can separate man from spiritual and ideal Realities; in fact, so called evil is frequently the instrument by which he is brought to these things.

DC Horoscopes: July 2019 Solar and Lunar Eclipses

Dual Horoscopes: lower left, Solar Eclipse July 2, 2019 3:16:06 pm edt Washington DC @10Can37; Lunar Eclipse (upper right) July 16, 2019 5:38:07 pm est Washington DC @24Cap04:

Please note that the Hour of the Lunar Eclipse is Venusian (which was left off the chart mea culpa!) and transit Venus @16Can15 will have conjoined the degree of the July 2nd Solar Eclipse (10Can37) and that the transiting North Node of the Moon will conjoin the Solar Eclipse degree near mid-July 2019. Also note that Solar Eclipses in Moon-ruled Cancer reveal that emotional extremes block karmic progress and the urge is to withdraw emotionally from eclipse affairs and events--to hide in Cancer the Crab's shell (Lineman). Yet we know that an accompanying Lunar Eclipse reveals something about our reactions to the karmic conditions and events indicated by the Solar Eclipse.

In July 2019, the Solar Eclipse is Total which has the strongest influence and/or is most widely ranging in its effects (for eclipse posts I go by degrees and not so much by the patch of visibility because I've been affected by too many eclipses that I couldn't 'see'). The Lunar Eclipse is Partial which suggests weaker efforts being made to deal with issues, or that efforts may fall short of their intended aims--that constructive efforts may be lacking or partially lacking. With Saturn-ruled Capricorn, some element of control or a form of limitation may be on the emotionally based solar agenda which occurs so near America's Independence Day that the eclipse is 'personalized' for the US.

Financier and Politician Jupiter Rx in 2nd house, then rising at the Lunar Eclipse

Finances delayed? Budget strife on Capitol Hill and/or perhaps the US dollar losing more of its global sheen? Limitations on economic policies? Well naturally, eclipses across the Cancer-Capricorn polarity relate to security issues, Career vs Family and Home situations, and to ambition, strategy, and direction taken in the realms of Business, Government, Law, Finance, and Investment. Also notable in such realms is the conjunction of Saturn with the South Node, the 'tail of the dragon' @17Cap36/43. Please enlarge the image to read my notes on this difficult and limiting hook-up highlighted in green and penned on the right side of the image. And as you see in the Lunar Eclipse chart, the 2/8 axis of Money, Values, Finances, and Big Business is where this conjunction clusters which suggests the necessity to rise by force via self-reliance--and this tallies with transit Uranus in money sign Taurus where new sources of income may need to be found. We will certainly know more of such issues by the time of the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn on January 12, 2020, an indicator of a 'new social order' and which conjuncts the natal Vertex of fate for Mr. Trump.

And finally, 3 North Solar Eclipses also manifested in the years 1911, 1929 (3N is the PE of 'Black Tuesday' 1929), 1947, 1965, 1983 (Reaganomics!), 2001 (the PE of 9/11/01, as noted on the chart), 2019 (this chart), and will next occur in 2037. 3N's initial eclipse manifested on October 10, 991 @22Gem06 conjunct what became US natal Mars so military and war issues cannot be ruled out in 2019 under Donald Trump whose natal MC (The Goal Point) happens to conjoin the Lunar Eclipse's 6th cusp, the house of Military, Police, and Civil Service.

Now as you know, a Lunar Eclipse that occurs prior to an accompanying Solar Eclipse suggest a period of decline and a passive response to the influences of the Solar Eclipse since it's a waning period of time from Full Moon to New Moon. With these two eclipses the Leo-Aquarius self-will polarity vs humanitarian efforts are concerns as 2018 begins--all eclipses are 'wild cards' of the Universe for they can disrupt like quirky planet Uranus, with their themes acting in similar fashion to a computer program 'running in the background' of society. This Leo-AQ influence spotlighted by 'cosmic blinks' in early 2018 may be a veiled reference to the self-interested, strong-willed Mr. Trump's rising Leo Mars opposing US natal Moon in humanitarian Aquarius, a passionate pairing that suggests potentials for antagonism, anger, mishaps, or even danger. Unfortunately, his 'finger on The Button' comes to mind along with the certainty of breakdowns of various sorts.

Then there's the Solar Eclipse of July 13, 2018 @21Cancer in the 2 Old North series (Mr. Trump's PE series), and the last 2018 Lunar Eclipse @5Aquarius on July 27th conjunct US natal South Node so perhaps more than the usual amount of unconscious material and secrets may be revealed from our nation's (or Donald Trump's) past and weaknesses inconveniently exposed.

The final eclipse of 2018 is a significant Solar Eclipse on August 11, 2018 @19Leo in the 2 New North Saros Series, aka, The Tower Eclipse which for obvious reasons may relate directly to Donald Trump and thus to America and its crumbling infrastructure, neglected for decades by Washington politicians who'd rather militarize the world and fund construction projects in foreign countries instead of spending our tax monies on our needs here at home.

Solar/Lunar Eclipses Knit Together December 2020 and May 2021 and Beyond

April 27, 2021: As you know, the Lunar Eclipse that accompanies a Solar Eclipse provides clues concerning our instinctive reactions to the karmic situations and conditions associated with the previous Solar Eclipse. The current 'cosmic blinks' fall into the Gemini-Sagittarius sector of the Zodiac with its Mercury-Jupiter influences that spotlight logic, reasoning, mental agility, fluent communications, morals, ethics, and the search for ultimate truth. All this as "the big lie" and its spawn continue to undergird the anti-democratic objectives of the Republican Party and sore losers cause nothing but trouble.

So while society remains under the auspices of the difficult 4 South Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 @23Sag08 (until about the June 10, 2021 Solar Eclipse, listed, lower right on the chart - conjunct the former guy's natal Moon-SN) which manifested upon the very day of the 2020 Electoral College Vote (the GOP's political bone of contention), here's a look at December 2020's 4 South Eclipse with its karmic themes of 'strong feelings over money and/or relationships; a sudden desire to end relationships' (Brady), plus, the accompanying Lunar Eclipse of May 26, 2021 @5Sag25 which significantly conjuncts, reflects, and reveals transiting Nemesis (@17Sco43 in December) conjunct the eclipsed Moon. Both eclipses are Total, thus bringing strong influences upon conditions and events.

Planet Mercury (highlighted in green), is out-of-bounds ('OOBs') in both charts, isolated from input by the rest of the planets, and opposing its Sag position of 2020 by the time of the 2021 Lunar Eclipse, when it's happier in its own sign of Gemini, as you see. Obviously, potential shifts in communications and planning are denoted along with changes in other realms ruled by Mercury such as commerce, education, and young people's concerns (increased innoculations?). Changeable Mercury is chart-ruler in May (ASC 26Gem24) and as such, applies to a dramatic inconjunct with powerful, wealthy Pluto (adjustments are needed), a pleasant conjunction/meeting with Venus, then speeds on to trine expansive Jupiter in compassionate Pisces (conjunct MC and benevolent Fomalhaut!) bringing uplifting ideas and plans, some perhaps of the 'big picture' variety.

Note that in December, the Virgo-Pisces polarity is intercepted, a karmic implication suggesting veiled factors being hidden from view but which must be dealt with. My suspicion is that the May 2021 Lunar Eclipse conjunct the Saturnian South Node (of the Moon) indicates that best results can be attained when past hurts and festering grudges are let go so that forward progress can be made and new opportunities embraced. This would be the wisest way to respond to the difficult conditions and events heralded by the December 2020 4 South Eclipse. Yet not everyone can manage to do this. I refer to the May Eclipse's Midheaven holding high asteroid Niobe (the grieving mother) along with the Saturn-Neptune midpoint of suffering, illness, loss - and the social safety net programs so many of us need right now.

Now at critical degrees in both charts we find Mars, planet of energy, action, motivation, and conflict, in 2021 squaring his 2020 position in his own sign of Aries and indicating an unfavorable period for decisive action, a lack of cooperation, and lending a forceful, determined air to what are very busy proceedings. There's a decidedly masculine influence pervading activities which may lift slightly with Mars in Cancer, sign of family and home, although in emotional Cancer, the potential for fiery anger often increases - especially for those with hot tempers - while the square brings blockages, frustration, and delay. Plus, significantly, Mars is the planet of police and military men and at the Lunar Eclipse, asteroid HOPI joins Mars with its ambush and/or prejudice vibes. The two stars of Gemini also join in - Castor and Pollux - so that 'murder, cruelty, crippled limbs, mental illness, and/or sudden fame or loss' (A. Louis) continue as possible outcomes in certain situations especially those involving (rogue?) police officers or the military (deployed and coming home: Cancer). Meanwhile, we should be aware that difficulties, conflicts, and hostilities could peak around the first week of June 2021 when Mars and Pluto oppose one another across the Cancer-Capricorn axis, a cosmic suggestion that interfering with the status quo will be more unwise than usual due to the tremendous, forceful energies within the Mars-Pluto combo along with the Lunar Eclipse conjunct Nemesis and leading a Locomotive shape of planets which indicates a 'high-powered executive ruthlessly determined to achieve success'.

Horoscope: Lunar Eclipse June 4, 2012

June 2011 and June 2012: Lunar Eclipses in Sagittarius, sign of The Seeker

On June 15, 2011 there occurred a Lunar Eclipse @ 24Sag and on June 4, 2012 we'll have another Lunar Eclipse, this time @ 14Sag13 which falls in 6th House when the horoscope is set for Washington DC. Spotlighted are any and all 6th H matters such as Military, Police and other types of Service, Work, Health, and our Daily Rounds. Occurring on schedule (two weeks later), this Lunar Eclipse adds Jupiterian vibes to the Mercurial energies of the Solar Eclipse of May 20, 2012 @ 00Gem21 (horoscope shown.)

As you know, this eclipse of the Moon (the people; the public; the mood in Mundane Astrology) occurs a day prior to the rare Venus Transit of June 5 or 6, 2012, depending on where you sit upon the globe. Below you see the June 4, 2012 Lunar Eclipse horoscope with a few basic chart details penned in; US natal planets are notated around the outside of the chart--it's as if you're reading my notes, and welcome to them! In Washington DC, the eclipse perfects at 7:11:33 am edt with both US natal Venus and Jupiter rising (Venus/Jupiter = ASC: confidence; sociability)--ASC in Cancer (4:10) makes the Jupiter's Sagittarian Moon the chart ruler; Luna's applying aspects are noted below the chart:

Hour of cautious Saturn 23Lib07 Rx in 5th H of Gambling; Mercury is out-of-bounds (OOBs) of the earthly plane and up to who-knows-what while sojourning its Mercurial sign of Gemini, sign of reporters, bloggers, travel, transport, and trade: Mercury, Venus 16Gem44 Rx (but now in bounds), Sun 14Gem13, South Node (a Saturnian, separative point indicating the past, or a talent to fall back upon) is @ 5Gem05; the May 20, 2012 Solar Eclipse from whence this Lunar Eclipse issues is in 12th H as well making 12th H (The Unconscious, Politics, Behind-the-Scenes maneuvers, Karma--reaping what was sown--and Self-Undoing) vital for this Lunar Eclipse map. And of course, Lunar Eclipses tend to work on unconscious/inner levels as hidden matters and secrets are revealed, positively or negatively. With the above-linked May 20, 2012 Solar Eclipse also falling in 12th H of the Lunar Eclipse horoscope--how many secrets can we appreciate at once as these 'wild cards of the Universe' shuffle all decks?

Well, the Moon's applying aspects as chart-ruler provide hints about how things will proceed concerning activities involved with the Lunar Eclipse ruled by Jupiter; both aspects are noted on the chart, lower left, but here they are for you with brief analyses:

1. Moon square Mars (1A55) with Mars 16Vir09 in 4th H of Real Estate, Domestic Scene, and Homeland: people are frustrated by delays, traffic jams or transport difficulties; anger and protests in the US and DC; premature actions may be taken by some (Mars/MC = Moon); someone forces his will on others, potentially in regard to women's issues (Mars/MC = Sun: strong will; the urge to be important; procuring the power to give orders; overcoming resistance--Ebertin.)

2. Moon conjunct Venus 16Gem44 Rx (2A30) indicates that someone's popularity increases with the public, possibly a woman--and/or, the much-touted Venus Transit tops the news!; assistance may be easier to find or gain; domestic scenes may be beautified; entertainment and parties are pleasant; instincts and intuition may be relied upon as cold, hard facts are temporarily ignored.

The energies of this horoscope are Mutable (changes, fluctuations, instability, restlessness) and through retrogradation delays are attached to evaluating Venus (rules 5th H of Risk-Taking and 12th H as mentioned above), controlling Saturn (ruler of the 8th H of Big Business, Credit, Debt, Transformation, the Occult, etc); meanwhile, wealthy, powerful Pluto Rx @ 8Cap52 sets at Descendant (Partnerships) and conjoins Fixed Star Facies (penetrating stare of a lethal weapon; focus; ruthlessness--Brady.) Prominence is given, however, to Mars at IC for being closest planet to an Angle of the horoscope--excepting Chiron at MC. Mars at '17Vir' = "A Volcano in Eruption"--hopefully a real-world volcano won't occur yet tantrums and physical force are indicated along with wildfires.

Compassionate Neptune 3Pis09 is Stationary in 9th H and will turn Rx in 9 hours, 52 minutes at the same degree and minute so here a strengthened Neptune conjoins Fixed Star Fomalhaut (humanitarianism) and I'd say the needy of the world (and those who have higher standards than to exploit others for personal gain) can use all the Fomalhaut they can get with cold-heartedness on the rise as it is. Yet with the Royal Stars of Persia, there's always a caution to be successfully managed and here it's to maintain the purity of one's dreams and ideals.

Lunar Eclipse ruler, Jupiter @ 28Tau19, conjuncts 12th cusp, a sensitive point in any chart, and is ruled by about-to-Transit Venus: two difficult stars are contacted, both of which indicate rage yet a 12th H Jupiter prefers his solitude--perhaps here he describes a guru, economics professor, or religious leader of some kind though Jupiter's expansive, abundant reputation for money, growth, investment, promise, banking, ideals, and such is obvious. In the sensual money sign of Taurus, Mr. Moneybags can overindulge himself and dissipate riches even while attracting wealth!Other people's legitimate needs are then neglected by a negatively aspected Jupiter in Taurus which is what Republican budget proposals intend to do against the American people--let them eat pavement! Actually, this greedy, stubborn Jupiter in Taurus sounds much like the Pentagon and Washington politicians in general, doesn't he?

Negatively Aspected? Jupiter Square Neptune

The Jolly One's applying square to fraudulent Neptune is out-of-sign (dissociate) but shows something secretive (12th H) occurring behind-the-scenes with Jupiter ruling 10th H of Public Status and Career; 6th H of Military and Police Service intercepts or hides the sign of Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, so expression of Jupiterian energies are put on hold in early June. And of course, you know that murky Pisces at Midheaven (MC = The Goal) is ruled and sub-ruled by the speculator-wastrel-grand-schemer pair of Jupiter and Neptune. The Jup-Nep square indicates potentials for: overblown or false religious ideals, impractical political ideologies, smooth talking wheeler-dealers blabbering their scripts, making promising hard to keep, and/or just plain old fraud and corruption like Wall Street banksters regularly enjoy committing at the expense of others.

And of course, we are promised another 'debt ceiling-default' political fight on Capitol Hill which never had to happen the first time around in Summer 2011--and voila! besides another credit downgrade, we have the specter of government shutdown looming by or before the end of the year. Yippee. So certain Capitol Hill politicians feel they must, in this election year, re-make their dumb, overblown point and we're all supposed to cower before their inability to govern--and then vote for them on November 6th. Puh! Let's ship out the ones who refuse to do their jobs and find reps who will actually do the people's business--on our behalf--for the ridiculous ideologues of Capitol Hill have earned We-The-People's contempt.

Perhaps the Grand Cross (Moon, Chiron, MC, Sun, Venus) symbolizes the crisis of a re-staged debt stalemate in Washington with the MC angle its place of expression on the world stage as their scripted squabbles threaten to again wound (Chiron) America's financial reputation. Will subversive, invisible puppet master Pluto step in? (Uranus/ASC = Pluto: the use of force; the desire to attain success even under the most diffcult conditions--Ebertin.)

10th House Uranus in Aries May Bring Sudden Disruption of Reputation

Quirky genius Uranus in Aries is posited in the very visible 10th H and may, along with the Saturn/Uranus quindecile (obsession-compulsion aspect, 165 degr) denote disruption in governing systems and a reputation for unpredicatability or isolationism; protesters will continue to be in the news since Uranus in Mars-ruled Aries describes Utopians, radicals, political reformers, activists, and revolutionaries, some of whom may come from abroad--or be directed from abroad-- since the 9th H of Foreign Lands is ruled and sub-ruled here by Saturn and Uranus.

Actually, Julian Assange and/or Bradley Manning may be described by the 10th H Uranus in Aries and one or both may be spotlighted in the news again as more details of their legal battles and government secrets are uncovered by the Lunar Eclipse; Saturn in 5th H points toward the stock market and other investments with restrictive Saturn ruling 8th H, as noted above. Yet with conservative, staid Saturn there is always a potential for status quo to be maintained and a resulting stability as well.

And then we have the gaggle of Uranian revolutionaries play-acting as US politicians in the Masonic building on Capitol Hill so perhaps they will be the ones to be revealed as actors at center stage under the rays of the June 4, 2012 Lunar Eclipse which will manifest upon America's natal Ascendant.

Rising in the chart is the South Node of the Moon so recently a visitor to George Bush's natal Mars which therefore is rising, too. (Hot air also rises.)

So is America about to be separated (SN) from its Martian president? Asteroid Sisyphus is conj Bush's n Mars these days; keyword: determination. And you know how Sisyphus kept on keepin' on rolling the Iraq up the Capitol Hill. Or something along those lines.

And with the 'executive privilege' fights that are coming up, Al Gonzales was jettisoned today, yet still the hot air balloon of state is dipping perilously close to the ground (ground = Saturn, in Leo--29 degr, a critical or crisis degree, Leo = leaders, yet Saturn is conj Fixed and Royal Star of Persia, Regulus, success if revenge is avoided.) In Washington? Puh.

At MC is Fixed Star, Alcyone, one of the weeping sisters: something to cry about, exile; lack of luck; suffering; mystical but judgmental. MC is, as you know, the Career/Public Status/Aspirations Point.

At IC, the Foundation of the chart is Toliman, aka Bungala, at a critical degree, 29Sco37: self-analysis; occult interests; honors; insensitivity; stubbornness; cruelty.

IC's degree is the "Grand Army of the Republic campfire" degree of "1Sag" and so the Iraq invasion/occupation is at the base of this week's reflections and hidden issues which the Lunar Eclipse may bring to light, for this is a Full Moon over the White House.

There are a lot of other details in the chart, of course, but my typing finger is spazzing. More later if I can manage. Perhaps tomorrow--although my more-than-able colleagues have published on this Lunar Eclipse all over the web!

People on the Pacific side of Earth will have the best view as the Moon turns a dreamy shade of sunset red. Favored areas include the Americas (especially western North America), Hawaii, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, east Asia and Antarctica. A Lunar Eclipse @ Winter Solstice 2010: 1st since 1703!

As you know, there's a crisis-degreed Lunar Eclipse on December 21, 2010 @ 29Gem21 occurring a few hours from Winter Solstice 2010 (Sun 00Cap00) and it will be the first Lunar Eclipse at Winter Solstice since the year 1703!

On December 23, 1703, a Lunar Eclipse occurred @ World Point 00Can49 conjunct North Node, along with a Great Conjunction of Saturn and Neptune in Aries. Now history repeats similarly but with differences and there's an astrological similarity between Dec 21, 2010's Lunar Eclipse and the Lunar Eclipse of Dec 23, 1703, apart from their occurrences at Winter Solstice: both fall into the same Solar Eclipse Series, the 12 South - the Series we're in now!

To recap: 12S manifested on Dec 23, 1703 @ 15Sag56 and on July 11, 2010 @ 19Can24 conjoining Fixed Star, Castor (crippling of limbs, murder, mental illness, fame or loss, to write or create; A. Louis; B. Brady.)

Traditionally, DeVore's Encyclopedia gives '20 Cancer' as a degree of hindrance and limitation and is President Obama's current Progressed ASC degree when his progressed chart is set for Washington DC. (His progressions still show the fretsome midpoint picture: Saturn/NN = Neptune: emotional suffering through fraud, lies, deception, separation (Ebertin.)

Is that separation from his political-financial base? Private sources tell me that Mr. Obama in his extreme arrogance is reviled in DC and across the nation by former financial supporters whose wallets will remain decidedly closed to him for the 2012 campaign! And btw, they despise Michelle, too. Apparently, it's primarily the media talking her up. Plus, Inauguration 2009 Moon's void-of-course condition indicates a 'falling away' from his administration and policies, as previously noted.

So! A Lunar Eclipse at Winter's Solstice has come again as in 1703 and both fall into the 12S Series with its 'draining, long term worries at first seem worse, then clear with successful outcomes" (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology.)

Hope 12S's improvement vibe applies to my previous remarks concerning the Dec 21, 2010 Lunar Eclipse adversely affecting financial markets!

Of course, being in message-bringing Gemini at a 29th crisis degree (and with a new Solar Eclipse occurring on Jan 4, 2011 in the 13N Series), one thinks of the WikiLeaks embroilment as the whistle blower organization continues exposing the US government's frilly if torn underpants - and, what could bring both realms of crisis together at the Dec 21, 2010 Lunar Eclipse?

January 2020 Impeachment Trial and the Lunar Eclipse

December 20, 2019: Unless you, dear reader, exist inside a hyperbolic chamber, you're aware that Speaker Nancy Pelosi may withhold Trump's Impeachment case from the Senate until January 2020 or possibly later due to Senator Mitch McConnells' threat of a rigged-for-Trump proceeding with no documents and no witnesses testifying. The willfully blind Mr. McConnell intends to, in a word, abort.

Cosmically speaking, there is one timing event that may attend the Senate trial of Donald Trump no matter the trial's date: the January 10, 2020 Lunar Eclipse @20Cancer conjunct Castor - near Trump's natal Saturn, planet of accountability. The next Lunar Eclipse won't perfect until June 5, 2020 @16Sagittarius so a Senate trial prior to that date will fall under the auspicious lunar rays of the January 2020 eclipse and those of the December 2019 Capricorn Solar Eclipse (next solar eclipse manifests at Summer Solstice 2020--more on that in a future post).

Now as you know, both solar and lunar eclipses tend to uncover secrets, broadcast inconvenient facts, leak intell, and/or point out all manner of ugliness via their karmic rays. Lunar Eclipses are excellent spotlights that reflect and reveal hidden things especially since the astrological Moon in Mundane Astrology relates to the Collective Unconscious. And after all, eclipses aren't known as 'wild cards of the Universe' and 'cosmic blinks' for nothing! For disruptions and sudden changes of direction--in similar fashion to astrological Uranus--are often triggered and/or timed by eclipses and not necessarily on their exact dates of manifestation. Plus, due to the sensitization of degrees, eclipse influences can last for months or years.

So if you care to take a look, a recent post was published showing both the DC Horoscopes of the December 26, 2019 Solar Eclipse @4Cap06 and the January 10, 2020 Lunar Eclipse @20Cancer (20Can/Cap = critical-crisis degrees--and here we are). In this case, the January 2020 Lunar Eclipse provides cosmic information on our reaction to events brought by the December 2019 Solar Eclipse. Also shown in the charts is the fact that the transiting North Node continues to point toward Trump's natal Mercury (8Can51) (see below) suggesting public contacts concerning his communications, facts, reports, and commercial enterprises (Mercury), and meetings, tribal and otherwise, which would include his rallies.

Then on a side note (or is it?!), perhaps you'll agree that it's quite curious that the January 2020 Lunar Eclipse @20Cancer 'eclipses' the rising Jupiter Rx in the Moscow Miss Universe Pageant 2013 horoscope! Will darker secrets of Jupiterian Trump's 2013 Moscow visit finally be publicly revealed?

Mercury in (tribal) Cancer indicates a mind that is influenced by deep-seated emotional patterns and desires which cause one to look at some facts while ignoring others.
