Winter Solstice 2012, a YOD Pattern, and Fated Encounters at Vertex for Mr. Trump

The well-publicized cosmic event of Winter Solstice 2012 presented us with a horoscope that cannot be forgotten for its configurations but also because the date times the ends of, or shifts in, various calendars and is said to symbolically spotlight a turning point for humanity. With its potentials of a 'turning point' or 'crossroads', the starkest figure within the 2012 chart is a YOD pattern with a Saturn-Pluto sextile at its base pointing like a 'Finger of God' toward Jupiter Rx @8Gem54 in 6th house (chart set for the White House Washington DC). And it's 8-8-8 degrees all around for this heavy weight trio of planets whose influences naturally continued into 2013 and beyond. Mr. Barack Obama was playing the presidential role then as you'll remember and, in the exalted realms of archetypes, representing many-armed Siva (Shiva), god of creation and destruction. Chilling. And for some crazy reason its statue is displayed near the Hadron Collider, a dangerous machine if there ever was one.

Yet after enduring almost two years of a Trump White House, Mr. Obama is being praised even by some conservatives like Max Boot who writes the He Would Take Obama Back in a Nanosecond. Well, I'd be there with ya, Mr. Boot, to welcome him back to the White House ('the people's house' and not Putin's playground!)

And perhaps it isn't significant but the Winter Solstice 2012 YOD pattern with the Saturn-Pluto sextile at its base points to 2012 Jupiter, as noted, but also to the Prenatal Solar Eclipse degree of Donald Trump in the 2 Old North series which just repeated @20Cancer41--onJuly 12 while he was overseas wilting next to Putin! 'Unfortunate news' is one of the potentials of a 2 Old North eclipse and there was certainly a huge amount of it attached to Trump's 'summit' with Vladimir Putin, especially upon Trump's return to US shores, and the criticism reverberates as I type 5 days later (hence Max Boot's op-ed linked above!)

Of course, Trump's PE of 1946 @9Gemini conjoins America's natal Uranus (8Gem55) so we can substitute Uranus for 2012 Jupiter in the formula and we have potentials for: Saturn-Pluto = US n Uranus: sudden changes or upsets in plans that concern important activities; reforms in the way punishment is given for important crimes; the erratic or uneven use of retaliatory measures (M. Munkasey). Noel Tyl adds some disturbing possibilities that deserve their own paragraph:

2012 Saturn-Pluto = 2012 Jupiter: trouble with authority; adoption of the austere; staying out of trouble; trying to save what's left. And with US Uranus: ~brutal efforts to start a new order~; an attack, regardless of potential losses. Of course, it took 'brutal efforts' back in Revolutionary days to establish our nation but that's actually the trouble--too many 'bosses in their own minds' think it's time for the 'new order' of 1776 to give way to a newer order which, they think, must be preceded by chaos--and they have Donald Trump as chaos agent for that. This Trumpian chaos creation reminds me too well of the themes of The Tower Solar Eclipse of August 11, 2018 upcoming--and he's known for his love of tower-building and for plastering his name all over them, the better to fall.

Saturn (government, law, business, limits) and Pluto (control, manipulation, transformation)

Now it's true that the Saturn-Pluto pairing is problematic for its cruelty, brutality, rage, fury of destruction, and a potential for hardship which sounds rather like Siva in destruction mode with the creative mode in regression. And most readers of my astro-blabs are well aware that the Saturn-Pluto cycle of about 33 years' duration begins anew on January 12, 2020 when the old man and the saboteur precisely conjoin one time only @22Cap43--conjunct the natal Vertex (Point of Fated Encounter) of Donald Trump (22:46)! Of course, both planets link to the devil and Hades but that's a post of a different hue.

Whether Trump meets with Saturn and Pluto or he forces their combined energies onto others is unknown to yours truly since Astrology's AC-DC currents can direct in either direction depending, or can denote alternating energies. But I do know that it should be one but may turn out to be the other. Fate is fickle that way yet karma always rolls around, no matter the level of a person's wealth and privilege. Is Mr. Trump destined (Vertex) to encounter Saturn-Pluto's strength and harshness or rule with it? Already the Cager of Children has shown signs of harshness and cruelty which would be most unfortunate for the entire world. And as you know, Trump admires aloud such harsh traits in other despots and longs for their type of 'independence' to act. Well, a Saturn-Pluto sextile suggests control issues on its own, and involves power and the withholding of information in order to retain it. Sounds rather like Putin holding something over Trump's head, doesn't it? Perhaps hotel tapes, money laundering crimes, or whatever? Even worse may be imagined since we don't actually know!

Then to the Saturn-Pluto conjunction we should add Nicholas de Vore's symbol for the degree of '23 Capricorn' (rounded up) where they meet on January 12, 2020 and we have an appropriate symbol of "governmental authority" which makes me wonder if Donald Trump will wield it--or by then will governmental authority finally catch up with his wayward ways and snatch him sideways?

July 27, 2016 Trump shout-out to Russia: Hack Hillary!

During a campaign rally on July 27, 2016 Donald Trump gave a public shout-out to a foreign power to hack Hillary Clinton's emails and as we now know from Mr. Mueller's unsealed indictments of the Russian culprits Trump's directive was followed on that very date.

Appropriately, transits on July 27, 2016 show messenger Mercury conjoining Trump's natal Mars in Leo, a time when ideas can become physical realities and instructions are given or received for how to accomplish a task or operate machinery!

Also you'll note that the date was around political convention time when the Republicans met under the light of a Full Moon that perfected upon America's natal Pluto Rx (27Cap33) and that the timing of Trump's rallies on that day (in Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania) were intended to snatch away the news cycle from goings-on at the Democratic National Convention. Election 2020 and a Farewell to Bretton Woods!

Friday July 13, 2018: Predictions are being made concerning the 2020 Election, one such that both Republicans and Democrats should be worried but for different reasons. To me it seems more a case that the American people should be worried with little respite proffered between now and then as 'the old order' collapses into 'the new'. Anyway, below is a bi-wheel of Election Day 2020 (November 3) both charts set for Washington DC. Inner chart = 12:00 am est; outer chart = 11:59 pm est so we can view the entire planetary panoply from beginning to end of the 24-hour period:

Now many things including loyalties will shift before November 3, 2020 so I won't type much on this chart today though a few factors should be mentioned, such as:

12:00 am est, an Hour of the Sun becomes an Hour of the Moon (changes, fluctuations, publicity) by 11:59 pm est. With Leo rising, Chart-ruler Sun makes only one applying Ptolemaic aspect in the chart, a trine to Neptune (18Pis20 Rx) which benefits covert activities (exs: sabotage; foreign agents infiltrating; spies that harm national security, cyber warfare) and implies the smooth proceeding of confidential matters, plus, a certain sense of glamour (Neptune) is cast upon leadership (Sun) with a bunch of Neptunian propaganda and lies to go with it.

Highlighted in orange is the Election's Prenatal Solar Eclipse (11th house) which perfects at Summer Solstice 2020 @00Can21 in the 4 North Saros Series of illusions, restraints (on voters?), misjudgments (of voters?), and separations. (This eclipse hints at a major post coming asap!) The election's Syzygy Moon (last lunation prior to Nov 3, 2020) is a Full Moon and is entered in 9th house @8Tau38--conjunct radical Uranus Rx at the Halloween Full Moon! Of course, Full and New Moons can act at times as if they are eclipses in a disruptive Uranian fashion, revealing secrets left and right (Full Moons: lunar eclipses, New Moons: solar eclipses) so we'll probably have some interesting tidbits, secrets, news, and gossip surface pre-Election under its rays of awareness and culmination--finances and investment are involved most likely with a Taurus Full Moon though issues concerning the environment, agriculture, and project development can be expected.

As for the Election Day 2020 chart we find 'voting' Mercury strong at Direct Station @25Libra55 in 3rd house (25Libra = cusp of the 17th Lunar Mansion, a critical degree). So it appears that by Election Day 2020, reassessing the then-current crop of politicians (such as they are!) has been completed and votes have been cast (assuming a sure-to-be-rigged election is held at all).

So who do the planets in this Election Day 2020 horoscope favor?

Going by the Venus Cycle upon which US Presidential Elections are based (those smarty pants Venus-worshiping Founders of ours--or was it Mason FDR when he changed the ceremony to January 20?), 2020 Venus in Libra indicates that the same party will remain in power, in the White House at least. Of course, how things will proceed after the 2020 Election must depend in large part on the results of the November 6, 2018 Midterms with its difficult Prenatal Solar Eclipse, The Tower @18Leo41 (rising in the charts you see here!)

Nodal Return a Time on Our Paths of New Alliances and Renewing Old Ties

Yes, the old order is collapsing (or is being collapsed by social tinkerers who think they know better--with buddies Trump and Putin as front-men) but be that as it may or may not be, the Election 2020 horoscope shows Trump's natal planets all over it--you see many of his planets marked in green--plus, on Election Day Trump will be in process of having a Nodal Return! If he's still around, that is. (The mean ones always seem to live forever, don't they?) Well, he didn't win the popular vote in 2016 (No Mandate from The People) but pretends he did--and the global imperative in 2020 remains 'the big picture must be followed, very little option to do otherwise' - 1993 Uranus-Neptune = tr Pluto, (Tyl) = "POLITICAL POWER...smug or strong-armed paternalism" (The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, Jones). July 2018 Lunar Eclipse Blinks at Russia's Saturn!

Secrets in Shadows.

When it comes to the Dissolution of the Soviet Union we think of the date Mikhail Gorbachov stepped down from the presidency and left Boris Yeltsin in charge of the newly minted Russian State. Apparently this difficult event is considered by Vladimir Putin to be well worth revenging as we see with his use of American politicians and cyber war to 'bring down' our nation from the top tier, plus, his other draconian methods...success at any cost, ends justify means! Not my cup o'tea, how about you?

Now there's no need to mention names of compromised US politicians because we know who they are, or at least we know the ones who are public figures and are abroad (NATO Summit, Helsinki) embarrassing on, and withdrawing America from, the world stage as I type. As usual, Mr. Trump's arguments to our allies are cobbled together by mixing a little truth with a lot of falsehood, the most efficient way to pull the wool over someone's eyes, or confuse issues at the very least. He does this every day. But the thing is, once truth is diluted, it is no longer true or the truth because half truths are not actually truths.

So if you haven't yet, take a look at the planets' positions in Moscow on December 25, 1991. The horoscope I use for Russia is from Campion's The Book of World Horoscopes which primarily cites historical records; the Flag was Raised at 5:45 pm GMT Moscow, State of Russia with 25Leo16 rising and 9Tau58 at Midheaven. Yes, Leo and Taurus are the same Fixed signs on ASC and MC as in the natal horoscope of Donald Trump. Different degrees, same signs, suggesting a shared character trait: strong determination and perhaps a toxic measure of irrational will. And we get to 'add' a Leonine Mars rising to Trump's chart...Mr. Street Fighter, always spoiling for a fisticuffs, red-faced at the slightest exertion, a general blowhard, a litigious deadbeat, and a bounder and cad with the ladies. He was never presidential material and has shown no interest in 'growing into the job' as many had hoped. Still, he is pretty good at following Putin's directions and will report on his performance at the NATO Summit in Brussels when he huddles in secret with Vlad in Helsinki on July 16. Yep, we watch semi-dumbfounded as Donald Trump does just what Putin would do!

So besides hitting US natal South Node (double the Saturn!), the Lunar Eclipse of July 27, 2018 @4AQ44 conjoins Russia's natal Saturn posited in its 6th house @5AQ10. You know astrological Saturn and you know what an entity's 6th house entails besides the military so I won't bore you (more than is often necessary). And of course, Saturn in Aquarius, its ancient sign of ruler-ship (and still is in some astrologers' estimations) hints that Russia considers herself well disciplined and ready for any contingency that may emerge--and the eclipse can bring out this issue or perhaps activate it. Planning is a specialty in the Russian mentality which tallies with the kind of leader for whom revenge is a dish best served cold. Yes, Putin's long-term planning is now paying off through the redoubtable form and agency of Donald Trump who fancies himself, is always in need of large amounts of money, is suggestible through flattery and corruptible via pay-offs and bribery. Why, Spanky is plum dreamy and oh so blackmailable...

Meanwhile, the transiting, ever-circling South Node of the Moon (SN), the 'tail of the dragon', is an integral part of this late July 2018 lunar equation since the close presence of the Nodal axis is how to tell that a Full Moon is actually a Lunar Eclipse. Lunar Eclipses, whether Total (strongest) or not, often have incredible influence upon events, conditions, circumstances, and/or people and tend to excite surprising revelations or news, 'reveals', secrets, gossip, and scandals. Unconscious motivations may become starkly obvious to self or other and suddenly a new direction is offered or enforced--and that's usually when we become aware of the strange light now cast upon the objects below!

Astro-Notes and an Eclipse for Judge Brett Kavanaugh

All over the news cycle today is Trump's SCOTUS nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Someone at The Hill opines that Kavanaugh Will Not Uphold Roe. On The Federalist Society's short list, Trump could hardly go 'wrong' choosing any of the names to nominate since they were all pre-vetted for the purpose of overturning Roe v Wade and for other decisions intended to shove US society further toward the right, our civil and other rights notwithstanding. Plus, for Trump, Judge Kavanaugh has that extra quality--that apparently his vote will be Trump's trump card to get out of jail free if a case against Mr. Trump should ever come before the Supreme Court. Yet because Judge Kavanaugh may not be the one to take a seat on the SCOTUS bench, let's not spend much energy on him at this point. But we should note that, as reported by The Boston Globe, Born inside the Beltway, Brett Kavanaugh is part of the GOP legal elite so what could possibly go wrong for the rest of us non-elites with Brett on the exalted bench?

Brief Astro-Notes: Brett Kavanaugh

Born in Washington DC on February 12, 1965, the 53-year-old Brett Kavanaugh sports an Air-Water personality blend of Sun Aquarius-Moon Cancer with both luminaries remaining in their respective signs for the 24-hour period. Therefore, the humanitarianism of Aquarius and the subjective, clannish tribalism of Moon-ruled Cancer mix to form an idealistic man with a social conscience, a progressive thinker but one who is also emotionally old-fashioned. This makes sense if his aim is to regress American society back to the 1950s by playing the role of an 'activist judge' for he prefers the values and morals of the past. And his Cancer Moon may reveal emotional immaturity at times and is sympatico with Trump's natal Mercury in Cancer.

Actually, this Sun-Moon combination of energies suggests that underneath a friendly veneer Judge Kavanaugh can be naive and detached when scrutinizing others and tends to rationalize the irrational. The unconscious prejudices of this 'kind-hearted rebel' may be somewhat hidden by a warm demeanor while his eccentric ideas may or may not motivate the masses. Motivate them toward protest and rebellion, as his nomination has already done, most likely!

Now Charles and Suzi Harvey provide two Images for Integration for the Sun AQ-Moon Cancer blend: "A social worker bypasses bureaucracy to save a mother and child...A childhood memory becomes the basis of a new world order." Within my common-good way of thinking, the first image is difficult to fathom for an anti-government Trump Man but the second is easily believed. After all, this natal personality blend is shared by FDR (and by misogynist Norman Mailer and former Russian president Boris Yeltsin).

At the end of the book, he quotes Fabian Socialist H.G. Wells describing FDR as, "The most effective transmitting instrument possible for the coming of the new world order. He is continuously revolutionary in the new way without ever provoking a stark revolutionary crisis."

2 South: The Prenatal Solar Eclipse (PE) of Judge Kavanaugh soon repeats

What an apt solar theme for being named to the SCOTUS bench! A solar eclipse in Kavanaugh's 2 South Saros Series perfects on January 6, 2019 @15Capricorn with a theme of: joining unusual groups and gaining a great deal from them (Brady's Predictive Astrology.) Prior to the birth of Baby Brett, the eclipse manifested on December 4, 1964 @12Sagittarius, the position of the US natal Ascendant in our late afternoon charts. And if born near midnight of his birth date, Brett Kavanaugh's natal Moon is @15Cancer and thus will be eclipsed on January 6, 2019.

A Few 2018 Transits to Kavanaugh's Natal Planets (Noon positions)

Not knowing his birth time clouds the astro-picture of Brett Kavanaugh yet we can make a few general observations using a noon natal horoscope set for February 12, 1965 Washington DC. Born during the Great Conjunction/s of Uranus and Pluto in mid-Virgo, Kavanaugh shares the generational influences of this conjunction which suggests possibilities for higher consciousness, inventiveness, and/or perhaps tendencies toward violence, revolution, and anarchy.

His natal Jupiter-Neptune opposition is about to be visited by Station Direct Jupiter, today @13Sco20, its Station degree and minute. As the expansive planet moves forward for Kavanaugh, transit Jupiter in Scorpio will again oppose his natal Jupiter (17Taurus) with the third and final opposition occurring on or about September 6, 2018. During this period opportunity knocks but 'no one is impressed' with his efforts which may be seen as overblown yet he's feeling an 'urge for greener pastures'. (Obviously, the 'no one' is not a member of the GOP, his sponsors.)

Also, transit Jupiter is in process of conjoining natal Neptune (19Sco59) with the third and final 'dreamy' conjunction on or about September 19, 2018--and the rose-colored glasses are in constant use. However, going on a spiritual retreat would be more beneficial for him than falling for any pie-in-the-sky schemes which may be presented, successful SCOTUS bid or not.

Now as you know, transit Mars turned retrograde on June 27, 2018 @9AQ13, a shift of direction which occurred upon Brett Kavanaugh's natal Venus. This suggests the forming of new alliances, renewed physical efforts, and enthusiastic social events. Legal matters are a major focus under this transit which will re-occur due to Rx Mars. Groups are somehow involved due to Mars and Venus being in Aquarius so this transit seems to look ahead toward the 2 South Solar Eclipse of January 6, 2019, as noted.

Not nearly as rosy is the fact that Kavanaugh's natal Moon in Cancer has or will be opposed by transit Saturn in Capricorn though it's difficult to time this important transit without an accurate birth hour. Using the Moon's noon position of 7Can47, transit Saturn has begun its three oppositions, the third and final of which will perfect on November 30, 2018. A depressive influence, this Saturnian year for him may merely involve the professional realms such as the law, the court, judgeship, and taking on major responsibilities, or it can suggests family, health, or other personal problems--or a blend of both (Career vs Home Life) and with timing issues involved. And of course if his Moon is in a late degree of Cancer, this restrictive, delaying Saturnian influence could continue into 2019. Yet this transit to Moon by solid, sober Saturn is one of only two transits listed here without an element of dreaminess so perhaps it will provide the Judge with real possibilities he can count on. For when working together Moon-Saturn can indicate ambition, strategy, and direction (Tyl).

As for opponents of the SCOTUS nomination of Judge Kavanaugh, today's position of opinionated Mercury in mid-Leo opposes the Judge's natal Mercury in mid-Aquarius which provides a rather clear image of what's in store as his pre-vetted nomination hearings get underway (assuming he makes it to Capitol Hill to play his role in the Capitol Hill Theater production, Let's Rubber Stamp Kavanaugh! If the GOP can get away with it!)

So any time transit Mercury opposes natal Mercury we expect such potentials as verbal disputes, differing opinions, and questions left unanswered. Sounds like a typical day on Capitol Hill, yes, but the result of this particular charade is pre-determined, no matter what Mercury thinks or says. For after all, Kavanaugh's natal North Node @21Gemini (NN = future direction; destiny) conjoins the 10th house Gemini trio of Donald Trump--his Uranus-NN-Sun--and all conjoin US natal Mars in Gemini--so therefore, all square US natal Neptune in Virgo which can only add to the confusion, deception, and fantasy elements of the Kavanaugh-Trump relationship.

And one more transit--Neptune today @16Pis22 Rx conjoins Kavanaugh's natal Chiron (16Pis49) which suggests to me that something involving his mentor (Chiron in Pisces) is not fully revealed or is being purposefully evaded. Judge Kavanaugh's mentor is said to be Justice Anthony Kennedy whose recent retirement has made Kavanaugh's seating on the SCOTUS bench possible at this time. Is masking Neptune, planet of scandals, fraud, falsehoods, and propaganda, attempting to veil secrets concerning the Kavanaugh-Kennedy-Trump trio and their past financial dealings?

A Saturnian Transit Note re: Donald Trump

As we've previously discussed, all through 2018 'legal eagle' Saturn in transit has been performing a series of squares and oppositions to the natal Mercury-Neptune square of Donald Trump, a fantasist who seldom if ever discriminates between fact and fiction. The next exact such transit by realistic Saturn is another square to his natal Neptune on November 11, 2018, then a final opposition to Trump's natal Mercury befalls on December 10, 2018. As goes POTUS, so goes America.

July - August 2018 Eclipses: Karma and a Slideshow!

July and August 2018 Karma Returns: first on July 12th a Solar Eclipse perfects @20Can41 in the same Prenatal Eclipse (PE) Saros Series (2 Old North) as that of Donald Trump - everyone feels it - these are critical times. Fixed star Castor is eclipsed which activates the star's potential expressions depending upon conditions and the individual's planets and motives.

Then it's a secrets-revealing Lunar Eclipse @4AQ44 conjunct US natal South Node--more karma for the reaping as scandals continue surprising.

Finally, August arrives with The Tower Solar Eclipse @19Leo in the 2 New North series which happens to be the Prenatal Eclipse of the 2018 Midterms. The US Election System collapsing? Voter suppression and other fraudulent schemes and foreign hacking negate election results? A financial crash? Trump's political/financial House of Cards falls into rubble and dust? NATO Summit July 2018 marred by Donald Trump?

Official details of the 2018 NATO Summit Brussels, Belgium 11 July - 12 July reveal that the Symposium's Keynote Address is expected to be delivered on the morning of the 11th. The 2018 Summit will be held in NATO's new headquarters on Boulevard Leopold III, Brussels and a media centre will be open 24/7 beginning 10 July 0900 LT until 13 July 0900 LT. Credentials required, of course, and heavy security measures will be in force (but of course!) Ah yes, a street to memorialize King Leopold III who surrendered to the occupying Nazis in 1940. Hmm. Well, it is the Belgians' boulevard to name as they please.

NATO: The North Atlantic Treaty Organization 1949 to...?

Founded via the signature of President Harry Truman on August 24, 1949 (11:42 am edt Washington DC with Sun 1Vir07; Moon 7Vir52, Saturn 8Vir28, Mercury 24Vir31; ASC 2Sco57; MC 8Leo37), the very Virgoan North Atlantic Treaty Organization has been a thorn in the side of Vladimir Putin but perhaps not for much longer since, as you know, the skunk at the NATO garden party 2018 will be one Donald Trump who tends to do 'just what Putin would do!' and has expressed disfavor against the organization. Or rather, he wants other members to pay more and given his past history as a crook who kowtows to Russia, yours truly tends to wonder if he thinks he can keep the additional gains for himself! well, America has and does contribute the most funds for NATO and Washington does spend US taxpayer money on global copping duties on behalf of the international corporate syndicate at the expense of the American people's needs--which is the typical GOP 'guns over butter' philosophy enabled by complicit corporate Democrats. And of course, NATO was designed to protect our allies so they don;t have to do it for themselves. Actually, Does Trump have a point?

Yet more simply, part of Trump's deeper motive may be to crack NATO into pieces or at least weaken it considerably at the 'request' of V. Putin with a further undermining of the cohesiveness of the EU, a Putin desire. See What Country Does John Bolton Work For Anyway? And as Vice News puts it, Trump is using US troops as a bargaining chip to raise NATO defense spending so that allies will live up to their promises...or else. Mr. Trump seems to see much value in creating hostage situations and has been sending threatening 'ransom' letters to NATO allies, as CNN details.

So there must be astrological factors showing current challenges to the organization, right? Using the 1949 founding chart of NATO, let's have a look-see at a bi-wheel of the 1949 chart with the approximate time of the NATO Summit opening (keynote address) on the 'morning' of July 11, 2018--meanwhile, a Solar Eclipse in Trump's Prenatal Eclipse (PE) series perfects during the Summit as you see by the horoscope (set for the White House). The 2 Old North Eclipse perfects in Brussels hours after Mr. Trump would have left and you know that he does like to cut out early from group settings in case he's overly challenged concerning the damage he's done, plus, he's uncomfortable when his ego suspects that he isn't the most famous person in the room. Besides, his sudden departures are so...so...dramatic!

As you see, some of Mr. Trump's natal positions are marked around the chart/s in blue but notice that the NATO South Node 17Lib29 in natal 12th house of Large Institutions, Politics, Self-Undoing, and Karma is the karmic and separative point where Trump's natal Jupiter (in Libra: "it's not fair!") and Putin's natal Saturn (authority, restriction, limits) - both planets @17Lib27 - sneak in through a back door. Or maybe it's via their conjunction that they intend to drain (SN-Saturn) energy and funds (Jupiter) out of the room (12th house) and further their ill-disguised attempts to undermine the organization as saboteurs acting as NATO's 'not-so-secret' enemies.

A Solar Eclipse, Castor, NATO's Mars and Transit Mars Rx

Now since this is a post, not a book, I won't type any more than I must but we should mention the transit of retrograde activist Mars conjunct NATO's natal IC (8AQ37). Mars turned Rx on June 26, 2018 @9AQ13 so he had crossed NATO's IC, then in Rx mode re-crossed the Angle which represents The End of the Matter and The Drain. Out-of-bounds as well, this is a testy Mars, a law unto himself, and on one level can signify Donald Trump because he was born with Mars rising in Leo. And we know Putin's pal is in process of challenging America's traditional allies and putting in a 'good word' for Vladimir while 'in the house' of the NATO Summit.

Yet let's not forget that puppet master Pluto of the Underworld is nearby (in Capricorn = the dictator) creepily approaching NATO's natal 3rd house Jupiter (Rx @23Cap19). Pluto the Dragon possesses massive amounts of hidden wealth and treasure but always wants more. So when transit Pluto hits natal Jupiter endeavors include gaining greater power and influence, regaining what was lost in the past, and playing a karmic role in current events. Negatively, intolerance and fanaticism are potentials which must be avoided during this transit if karmic setbacks are to be avoided.

Now Mr. Trump's 2 Old North eclipse @20Can41 occurs in NATO's natal 9th house conjunct its natal Mars (21Can21) and having transit Mars causing turbulence at natal IC as he prepares to enter NATO's natal 4th house can denote increased enthusiasm for new (ad)ventures but negatively suggests quarrels and disagreements. Plus, you see NATO's full 10th house of planets: Pluto, Sun, Moon, and Saturn--all of which tr Mars will oppose after turning direct in late August 2018. The turbulence really focuses around mid-August when transit Mars will oppose NATO's natal Pluto, a karmic period of time when deliberately antagonizing others can lead to regrettable altercations and any effort to control or manipulate situations or events tends to have the opposite effect. Once Mars enters Pisces, opposing natal Sun in Virgo, Mars isn't cooperating with leadership and relationships are strained; opposing natal Moon, Mars tends to arouse rage in others (purposefully, one assumes) and danger enters the environment (if it wasn't already there) such as via fires, explosions, or chemicals. If such trouble occurs, the public (Moon) may be adversely affected but certainly publicity concerning such events will be widely seen (across the 4/10 security axis).

Actually, by the close of the Summit ('early afternoon 12 July') in Brussels, the Summit's Sun will be exactly opposed by Pluto Rx, both at critical-crisis degrees (20Can-20Cap). Suggested potentials of the opposition are: power plays, a contest of wills, intimidation, attempts to collect on past debts, challenges to authority, ruthless actions, manipulation, abuse of power, deflated egos, retreats to isolation, exploitation, insufficient power to cope with events or decisions of others, impotency...any, all, or none may apply. This may turn out to be a real stinker of a summit! And difficult Castor's presence conjunct the Sun and Trump's eclipse will provide a negative influence.

Progressions: Looking Ahead

Now if we look to the Secondary Progressions (SP) of NATO's natal planets, we find that as far as the organization can expand into the world in this era--when it reaches its natural limit--is timed by an upcoming SP Full Moon which perfects @13Tau07 (SP Sun 13Sco07--where transit Jupiter Rx is today as I type!) on November 15, 2022. Horoscope: July 27, 2018 Lunar Eclipse conj Mars Rx

DC Horoscope: Lunar Eclipse @4AQ44 July 27, 2018 4:20:17 pm edt White House Washington DC = Radical Events; Hour of an unaspected Mercury Rx @23Leo20, 9th house. When unaspected, the thinking-communicating planet Mercury knows little of which it speaks due to its limited interests and lack of curiosity or experience in a variety of realms.

This is a prominent Total Lunar Eclipse occurring upon America's natal South Node of the Moon so a dependency upon past actions or solutions may be evident and may or may not be sufficient to deal with present circumstances. As you see, testy Mars Rx in Aquarius accompanies the eclipse which provides dynamic energy and motivation but premature action and past quarrels and anger may erupt. And since eclipses tend to uncover hidden conditions and secrets, this Lunar Eclipse won't be shy in that department.

Meetings and encounters are suggested (Sun-NN) for POTUS and other leaders (Sun) while those of a feminine persuasion (Moon) may be left behind (SN) and feeling enraged (Moon-Mars). That America's natal Nodal Axis is involved suggests we've been here before and one may think of past SCOTUS or other legal rulings which directly affect women and families including Trump's self-created, cold-hearted border crisis. Corporate and other financial realms are affected by the eclipse perfecting across the 2/8 axis in DC with the National Treasury (2nd house) under stress thanks mostly to spendthrift, wastrel politicians (Jupiter-Neptune) who continue to style themselves as "conservatives".

Now with 6Sag51 rising, moneybags Jupiter is chart-ruler and makes only one applying Ptolemaic aspect, a trine with Neptune which hints at financial schemes or fraud (see lower left corner of the chart), plus tricky conditions, dumb luck, inspired creativity, and our visionary abilities expanded (to see how much better things could be!) Beware get-rich-quick schemes (as always!) and try hard to focus on reality as much as possible. Upholding truth would be good as well though it's difficult with the massive amounts of propaganda we're subjected to from all directions--also a function of Jupiter-Neptune.

Now I neglected to circle it but there is an inconjunct between Sun (POTUS) and law-abiding Saturn, the authority. This shows consciousness of a sense of guilt and the need to be taken to task for one's past mistakes. It seems that someone's needs for significance and recognition are being hampered just now and an adjustment is necessary on the level of personal authority and accountability. Meanwhile, Mr. Trump's obsession with constantly comparing his achievements with those of others only points out his flaws and failures rather than having the brainwashing effect he expects--even with all the whoppers he tells to boost his image! Well, as you know, Saturn isn't about 'image', he's about the facts and he demands them.

So with fire-starter Mars out-of-bounds (OOBs) of the earthly plane (off on his own in rigid Aquarius) we still must add his frustration (Rx) to the dynamic energy encased within the T-Square/s that point to radical Uranus so we expect many changes and reforms as pent-up energies and pressures are suddenly released into the environment. Possible expressions include political policies and regulations that anger many people, depression, a potential for more suicides, natural disasters such as quakes and/or tsunamis, more volcanic activity, arson, explosions, violence, riots, protests, strikes, war, and general strife. Pressure must be released and a certain sense of purging may be the eventual outcome and this may involve US natal Neptune in Virgo (22Virgo) which sits atop the Aspiration Point of this chart. In Virgo, delusional Neptune can be fault-finding and with a pathological sensitivity, plus, Mars in Aquarius also likes to criticize though it's often superficial. Even so, our usual delusions and disappointments over Virgoan matters such as employment and health may surface (MC) under the rays of this karmic Full Moon in Aquarius and be brought into the public discourse once again. Perhaps abortion issues such as Roe v Wade will continue to be a heated part of the conversation since a new conservative SCOTUS Justice may threaten to unsettle the law, and of course, Virgo is also the sign of The Virgin so sexual and gender issues are certain to be on the political agenda.

And of course, as anyone can tell, this promises to be a Long Hot Summer. With Mr. 'Red Tie' Trump having natal Mars rising and being born under his own Saturnian Moon-SN conjunction (with Sun conjunct NN and Uranus, his chaotic guiding planet in Career 10th), he's definitely a large participant in this difficult cosmic picture and is certain to be directly affected by its energies which perfect within his natal 6th house of Health, Work, Service, and Daily Rounds. However, he may choose to blow of steam through speeches, throwing tantrums, and/or by projecting onto others via Military or Police actions (6th house). Yet if he should choose this course, his actions will be premature.
