America 2021: Treading a Fork'd Path under Four Eclipses

October 28, 2020: We're mere days away from the November 3rd Presidential Election with everything hanging in the balance and the American people poised at a crossroads as we face a New Year, 2021. And since eclipses 'run in the background' of society (and affect history as it turns out!), a list of 2021 Solar and Lunar Eclipses with a few details might come in handy at some point.

Actually, Year 2021 begins with a Lunar Eclipse @5Sag25 which perfects on May 26th and significantly, is the cosmic 'bookend' of the previous Total Solar Eclipse of December 14, 2020 @23Sag08 in the rather difficult 4 South Saros Series (potentials for: frustration, strong emotions over money and/or relationships; a sudden desire to end relationships). With an eclipse in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius we can expect our ongoing searches for truth and our ethical and morals concerns to continue well into 2021. Perhaps you agree that gone-astray America has much repair work to do and a large amount of reality to face especially considering the misplaced idealism that has been ineffectively guiding of our nation off a cliff. That is, repair work if we wish to follow a better path toward karmic progress. Of course, deceptive Neptune floating through its own shady sign of Pisces hasn't aided many of us on the side of clarity, has it? Instead, contagion, disease, fear, paranoia, loss, confusion, disappointment, fraud, theft, and corruption have ruled a majority of our days.

Well, I say more of Neptune's talent for creative inspiration is due!

So the next eclipse of 2021 will be an annual Solar Eclipse (not as strong as a Total of course--unless it contacts something in your chart!) on June 10th @19Gem47 in the 5 North Saros Series (visions; prophetic dreams; good insights, inspiration, and ideas). The duration of this eclipse is 3:51 so its effects may endure for nearly 4 months or years, if you can believe it. Well, it isn't as if we don't need good ideas. And inspired solutions. But hopefully, 2021's prophetic dreams and visions are not a reference to this gnarly issue, something few people are ready for, if so.

As for the June 2021 Solar Eclipse, Mercury-ruled Gemini is the polar opposite of Sagittarius, between them a common-sense Mercury-Jupiter signature. And with quick-thinking Gemini, reasoning ability and logic will be most important if we are to have any chance of making karmic progress in 2021. To me this suggests a Biden administration of professionals who know how to govern although you are welcome to disagree. And yes, we should acknowledge that 19-20 Gemini conjuncts Trump's Gemini trio (Uranus-NN-Sun) so if he's still on the scene (and he will be, a hulk lurking somewhere) he will use his inherent capriciousness, duplicity, and superficiality to interfere with America's karmic progress (whether he's in the White House or not) bwo regressive, reactionary policies and conspiratorial propaganda.

However, for Trump this eclipse may imply a Geminian news network or a show of some kind for the old geezer in lieu of fours more years in the White House. (His natal Sun-Moon opposition will be eclipsed, after all.) Plus, I'm fairly certain that his loquacious Mercury in emotional Cancer would adore such an opportunity to whine in a new format where he can continue to 'show off' his own version of truth via the natal Mercury-Neptune square that misinforms his sneaky mind and inspires him to invent malicious schemes. A network or show if lock-up is avoided, that is.

Next up is a partial Lunar Eclipse @27Tau14 on November 19th. This falls within the Pleiades Constellation, not my favorite area of the heavens for it contains nasty, violent Algol, in the Head of the Medusa, a star known for 'piled up corpses' in China. Trump's natal Midheaven (his life's goal: piled up corpses) is nearby the Taurus Eclipse which occurs in opposition to Biden's natal Sun and Venus in late Scorpio, plus, Biden's natal Mercury-ASC midpoint which suggests lots of meetings, discussions, and perhaps a search for a person who compliments his abilities in some way (eclipse in Biden's natal 7th house). For Trump the Taurus Eclipse manifests in his 10th house of Career so for best results he should concern himself with matters that involve his integrity (?) and how he serves the public. Not that service to others is one of his personal qualities, I'm just reading the eclipse placement here so obviously, to me if not to you, this relates to certain lacks in his character and his focus on materialism (Taurus, the builder). This could conceivably be a reference to financial legal matters for Trump particularly if he's out of office in January 2021 - and especially if Democrats keep the House and flip the Senate (admittedly a dream of mine--you caught me). For as you know, both Solar and Lunar Eclipses are similar to quirky planet Uranus and are 'wild cards of the Universe' that tend to uncover secrets and inconvenient facts.

For Joe Biden the December 2021 12Sag Eclipse falls within his natal 1st house which personalizes it for him, and for Trump it occurs in his natal 4th house of Domestic Scene, one of the psychological houses where his natal Sag Moon-South Node conjunction resides, a cosmic marker for emotional estrangement, bottomless emotional needs, and difficult relationships.

An Alt-Right Court: Moon-Neptune Delusions about Popular Support for Policies

October 26, 2020: This morning as I've watched the US Senate "debate" the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the US Supreme Court (aka, SCOTUS), tonight's vote at an undisclosed hour deserves some measure of scrutiny especially since Judge Barrett's views on important issues have been left tucked away from public view.

Now everyone knows that a Pisces Moon is one of secrecy, vulnerability, supersensitive emotions, impressionability, irritability, and love of seclusion. Judge Barrett's religious views have her under sway of her husband, as you know, so I must wonder if hubby will have a bumper seat underneath the SCOTUS bench. Yes, Barrett is technically qualified to serve, but it's her ideology that concerns and although her recusal from certain cases has been suggested and may resonate with tonight's Pisces Moon, recusals would negate the aims of Trump and the jackbooted GOP.

Now if afflicted, irrational dominance by the unconscious mind is often an issue with a Pisces Moon (suggestible and easily led if firmer planetary factors don't mitigate and break any hypnotic spells) and I don't know about you, dear reader, but I consider tonight's Moon-Neptune Conjunction to be such an affliction which was also shown by the extreme, even subversive, tenor during the recent Barrett senate hearing. And the area of the Zodiac under which tonight's illusive conjunction takes place (10:00 pm edt: Neptune 18Pis27 Rx/MC (The Goal) 17Pis55/Moon 14Pis35 conjunct Achernar, star of crisis) is familiar in recent years as the area where the natal Neptune of the Republican Party (1854) resides (and has had a Neptune Return full of conspiracies, deception, paranoia and, as it turns out, a debilitating pandemic).

Now in Politics and Business, the Moon-Neptune = MC picture suggests notoriety concerning explanations of future options, and/or giving personal guarantees that cannot be fulfilled (paraphrasing Munkasey).

In addition, Moon-Neptune can indicate heeding the opinion and emotional climate of constituents vs an inability to utilize information about the public mood when setting a course of action. Naturally, scandals tend to follow in the wake of the Moon-Neptune pairing of energies which I think relates in part to the ongoing sabotage of America's justice system and other legal institutions, as we've seen, and which will be further undermined by a Barrett confirmation and tenure. And although one might expect sympathy and receptivity from the Moon-Neptune influence (certainly from the Democratic side), the possibility exists of a Justice Barrett acting under strange and peculiar influences instead. Spirituality is implied here, but spirituality can be misguided and Scriptual truths are often taken out of context and twisted for some deceptive end. Evangelical Christians are not the only perpetrators of such spirtual degradation! We should also note that most of the SCOTUS justices are of the Roman Catholic persuasion and with Barrett's seating the lack of balance increases.

Significant as well is Barrett's natal Venus @14Pis45 so another midpoint picture is formed tonight of Moon-Neptune = natal Venus potentials such as: 'odd or perverse inclinations; peculiar and strange tendencies in the expression of love; over-enthusiastic adoration' (Ebertin), and/or 'enjoyment of mystical contacts' (Munkasey). Plus, as noted above, in mid-Pisces Achernar, the star of crisis, 'crisis at the end of the river', and 'risk of rapid endings' is activated tonight as it was by Venus at Barrett's birth.

Adding to Moon-Neptune is another major influence in play tonight which relates directly to Judge Barrett's natal planets (a 'noon' chart is shown for January 28, 1972 New Orleans, LA).

Of course, I refer to the current Mars retrograde period which is providing Amy Coney Barrett with an extended Mars Return 2020 - her natal Mars at or near 21Ari31 and opposing natal Uranus Rx in Libra (@18:18 - conjunct Trump's natal Jupiter identifying their religious and political affiliation). Basically, transit Mars in activist Aries is triggering or activating her natal Mars-Uranus opposition into expression. Her three-fer Mars Return 2020 perfects on or near August 8, October 12, and December 16 - 'on or near' due to the lack of an accurate birth time for her. So let's close with indications for a natal Mars-Uranus opposition especially since it looks as if the American people will be stuck with hers for decades to come. Mars-oppo-Uranus suggests someone who is drawn to reactionary political movements and/or the criminal elements in society. (Hitching her professional star to the corrupt Trump jalopy must have been her dream come true!) Yes, it's revolution for Amy who doesn't mind seeking status in destructive ways. Concerns (or scandals) over corporate resources and joint finances are possible but so far a veil has been cast over them, last I heard. However, this may not remain the case for veils are notoriously thin. And with this particular opposition, adverse actions taken against her are unpredictable and can have disastrous results. In fact, this is an unfavorable period for Barrett to partake in new activities and projects with the potential for quarrels and resentment at a high level. But a Republican steamroller driven by a bruised Mitch 'grim reaper' McConnell is rushing to save Amy's dream by crushing opposition to her urgently sought SCOTUS confirmation.

Meanwhile, her natal Mars-Uranus tendencies of stubbornness, ill temper, explosive outbursts, and recklessness simmer behind a curtain of calmness with current challenges to her objective to gain the freedom and status of being a lifelong SCOTUS Justice with the power to influence court decisions which can shove American social policies toward the alt-right. And this, no matter how unpopular with the majority of Americans such paternalistic, authoritarian, draconian, theocratic policies are. Mars-Uranus also indicates potentials for the perpetration of violence, thievery, using collective power for self-aggrandizement, and indulging a deep need for ruling over and remaking others. For as we know, once seated on The Bench, all progressive policies and laws within US society will be in Barrett's line of fire - unelected by the populace as she'll be. This is traditionally so and for her, directly so because her SCOTUS confirmation is being rushed in case Trump is hounded from office after November 3rd. The ole timey phrase bum-rushed comes to mind but since Barrett is completely dependent on the efficacy of the GOP steamroller for her successful seating, it's debatable just who the 'bums' actually are. Well, we can guess that she would be bummed out if their effort on her behalf should collapse of its own misbegotten weight.

As it seems, her natal Mars-Uranus opposition also suggests that Amy Coney Barrett's aspirations have driven her into unstable situations denoting a time in her life when drastic alterations are possible so it's understandable to assume that promotion to the SCOTUS bench will fill this cosmic indication for her. And with her inherent tendency toward conflict, plus, the sentimental religiosity of tonight's Moon-Neptune influence on her natal venus, sober pause is necessary for anyone wishing for a deeper consideration of how Barrett's theocractic ideology and anti-democratic activism will alter America for Mars-oppo-Uranus is determined to sweep away the status quo with no thought or consideration of what could sufficiently replace it.

October 23, 2020: My deep suspicion is that pretty much everyone knows by now that astrological Saturn is the planet of responsibility, reliability, dependability, maturity, realism, Time, gravity, accountability, limitation, restriction, flaws and fears, efficiency, seriousness, concentrated thought, fulfilling (or neglecting) demands and commands, studiousness, learning/teaching lessons, work, laws, rules, regulations, policies, perseverance, endurance, and other such sobering, often difficult things. Plus, we know that karma, loss, and several physical characteristics also apply to multi-dimentional Saturn but let's not fret over it just now because this post is for comparing/contrasting the natal Saturns by sign and aspect condition of Donald Trump, the incumbent, and Joseph Biden, the challenger, opposing one another on November 3, 2020 as they vie for the job of US president.

Pretending this post is a job interview of the planet of responsibility and work (even though it's the Electoral College that decides the victor, not We The People), we know from the outset that Saturn functions well from mental Air signs but not as well from emotional Water signs and is, in fact, in his detriment in Cancer because it's the sign opposite Capricorn, ruled by Saturn.

Now perhaps you'll agree that the role of President of the United States ideally calls for the more sobering traits mentioned above, and some would say that such seriousness and maturity have been lacking for nearly four years now. Be that as it may be, let us proceed to consider the proclivities of former VP Biden's Saturn in Mercury-ruled Gemini vs the current figurehead, Donald Trump, and his Saturn in Moon-ruled Cancer - the first suggesting a Mercury-Saturn signature, the second with Moon-Saturn on its resume.

That both men are of a Saturnin age must please the planet of old age! Or at least it's no disqualifier for political office as far as Saturn the senex is concerned:

General notes on folks born with Saturn in Gemini: a logical, practical mind; well-disciplined; dependable; honest (for the most part--Mr. Biden is a politician, after all); reasonable; organized; adaptable; objective; intellectual; can manage well within systems; interests in Math and Science; prefers that things be well-defined (ex: clarity in contracts); a resourceful finder of solutions; wisdom through duress; philosophical; possible speech impediment such as stuttering; the nervous system.

Joe Biden was born with a wide conjunction of Saturn (7th house) and Uranus (6th house) suggesting willpower and perseverance; an applying sextile between Saturn and Pluto denotes one who requires details before making decisions; control issues require positive channels for best expression; priorities are self-reliance and financial security; opportunities (sextile) in work and career matters (Saturn) are provided by higher (hidden, wealthy) powers (Pluto in the corporate 8th house).

General notes on folks born with Saturn in Cancer: early family environment results in emotional inhibitions that lead to estrangement from family members and/or others; the parental unit may have been cold and austere causing emotional scars, depression, and an inability to trust; extreme emotional sensitivity, a touchy ego, defensiveness; a protective emotional shell forms (Cancer the Crab scuttles sideways to avoid uncomfortable situations/loathes being challenged); a lack of warmth in relationships; security concerns (Saturn rules walls, fences, and borders!); a deep need for respect and approval from others; domestic strain and financial problems; a sluggish metabolism leads to excessive weight gain and water retention; an unusually strong materialism (heightened by a deep fear of poverty). October 22, 2020 Biden-Trump to Debate in Nashville

October 21, 2020: Debate a risk for Trump, Biden doesn't need it

If it occurs, Nashville, TN is to be the scene of the 'final' Biden-Trump debate on Thursday evening (October 22, 2020) so looking at planetary conditions during the debate seems a necessity whether we want to or not.

First, the Saturnian Elephant in the Room (image: 'Blue Saturn')

On the evening of October 22nd, the Capricorn Trio (19-26Cap) will be joined by the Moon (We The People; the public mood) which creates a few midpoint pictures full of potential with Moon as apex receiving the heavyweight Saturnian energies. As you know, Capricorn is the sign of government, law, and business. A Capricorn Moon signifies that the current public mood is a sober, serious one with ambition and strategy on our minds along with business, professional, investment, and practical concerns of family and career. Issues of responsibility are high on the lunar menu of this debate and our underlying sense of melancholia is revealed by the Saturn-ruled Moon showing that we feel oppressed, suppressed, and restricted due to quarantine demands of the pandemic and by dire societal conditions in general. Any or all of these matters should turn up during the debate.

Here are the debate's midpoint picture potentials:

Jupiter-Saturn = Moon: mood changes; easy upsets; emotional conviction; a hypersensitive ego position.

Saturn-Pluto = Moon: renunciation; cold feelings; giving up giving; melancholy; a tragic destiny.

Also in effect: Sun-Mars = Moon: a feminine influence; confrontation is avoided via indecision. (Will this debate be canceled, too? Surely not!)

Obviously, our current hardship conditions in US society under the Trump regime are on the minds of We The People and must be considered at the polls - and have been for the millions of us who've already voted in this existential life-or-death struggle for the future of America. There are two possible 'new world orders' - one dystopian/authoritarian, one less so. If you're reading Stars Over Washington, I suspect you realize which is which in the Trump vs Biden competition. Yet we know that the current hardship conditions of restrictive Saturn-Pluto are karmic and have been a long-time coming. It's Trump's mishandling and neglect of our problems that have caused more difficulties than there had to be, compliments of Trump The Undutiful.

As for Pluto in Capricorn (= 'the dictator' - R. Ebertin) it has been noted in various SO'W posts over the last four years, that (now-debating) Pluto @22Cap34 - conjuncts Trump's natal Vertex of fated encounters while opposing his natal 11th house Saturn in Cancer (authority challenged, transformed, or destroyed). And perhaps you remember that the January 12, 2020 Great Conjunction of Saturn and Pluto @22Cap46 'hit' his natal Vertex (22:51) as well. So besides difficulties and obstacles 'meeting' (VX) Trump (and thus America) in 2020, such harsh planetary conditions may be seen to represent the current opposition from powerful political and financial figures, even corporations (Pluto) and Republicans, to Trump's management of the pandemic, to his leadership in general (his Saturn in watery, tribal, nationalistic Cancer), and to the idea of 'four more years' of Trumpian chaos, propaganda, and primal violence.

Meanwhile, Thursday's debate Hygeia @10Leo19, asteroid of health, conjuncts Trump's natal Pluto (10:02) in his 12th house of hospitals, hidden enemies, self-undoing, and karma. Assess this health implication as you will especially since Trump's natal Pluto is apex of his destructive Mars-Saturn midpoint (the 'death axis'--R. Ebertin), all in his Underworld 12th house - and with Trump, that's Pluto the saboteur and thief.

Debate Mars Rx in Aries Has His Say

Adding to the Saturn-Pluto challenges for Trump is debate Mars Rx @18Ari21 opposing his natal 2nd house Jupiter (17Lib27 S) denoting an unfavorable time for competition (exs: a debate; an election), a tendency toward taking unwise actions (I know--always the case with his nibs), and vastly overinflating his personal capabilities - also a regular feature of his narcissistic personality. Plus, the words grandstanding and fanaticism come easily to mind when Mars opposes natal Jupiter. Of course, Mars represents males in general (approximately ages 25 to 35, give or take a year) but more specifically, police officers and military men, those with careers and activities ruled by Mars. Even surgeons and barbers with sharp instruments (Mars) may be implicated here as opposing and/or acting against another four years trying to breathe under the bulk of Trump. Plus, activists are also indicated by Mars.

Now there are plenty of other planetary factors worth mentioning that are in force for the October 22nd debate and I trust that you, dear reader, may be inspired to discover them if you haven't already. And as always, your on-topic comments are invited! jc

Sun Conjunct South Node: Limitations On Power and Leadership Potential

Sun/South Node of the Moon contacts have karmic implications that place obstacles in the path of solar objectives due to selfishly promoting one's ambitions at the expense of others. Recognition for what has been achieved is often denied and the conjunction suggests a lack of popularity with the public, and, at best, fluctuating success.

Note that in Western Astrology, the South Node of the Moon is said to have a Saturnian separative quality while the North Node has a Jupiterian joining quality. Some systems vary from this but it's how I tend to think of the karmic Nodal axis along with destiny and future direction (NN), and past tendencies and talents (SN) which we still depend on even though they no longer solve issues in the present, aka, neuroses.

In 2018 the 'Tail of the Dragon' Swiped US POTUS Sun: Ouch!

Although the catastrophes and natural disasters of 2018 may have faded somewhat in memory due to our current problems, one remarkable and predictive fact remains: that Year 2018 opened with a Super Blue Blood Moon, a stunning Total Lunar Eclipse on January 31, 2018 @11Leo37. As auspicious cosmic events go, this lunation heralded a difficult year to say the least. At the US-Mexican border, Trump and his minions ripped children from the arms of their mothers, massive California wild fires caused loss and death (as in 2020), huge bankruptcies were filed (exs: Sears and Toys'R'Us), Trump and Putin sweetly smooched in Helsinki, Robert Mueller was busy investigating, the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing and subsequent swearing-in caused upheaval, Jeff Bezos became the wealthiest man in the world (disgruntling Trump), Manafort and Cohen put Trump in a well-deserved hot seat - and then there were the deaths of John McCain, Barbara Bush, and George H.W. Bush, among other US and world events. Oh! And in May Meghan Markle married Prince Harry.

One political bright spot for a majority of Americans in November 2018 was our 'Blue Wave' turn-out at Midterm Elections which flipped the House for the Democrats. Yet regrettably, Republicans retained control of the Senate and somehow managed to gain two seats. As you know, Mitch "grim reaper" McConnell continues in 2020 to control all proposals of progressive change which would ease the suffering of the American people. He enjoys our suffering, some say, even laughs at it. Apparently, "Moscow Mitch" is a 'let 'em eat cake' kind of guy. Well, perhaps you saw Mitch on camera with Amy McGrath having a good ole laugh when called out over the Senate going on vacation this summer instead of providing Covid relief. Charming (snark).

Running in the background of our lives, Solar Eclipses of 2018 were prominent:

In February came a 1 South Eclipse ('flooded with options' or just flooded with Neptune in watery Pisces) conjunct US natal Moon (27AQ). Then the 2 Old North Eclipse in July was a repeat of Trump's own Prenatal Eclipse Series ('PE') with its 'unfortunate news' and 'separation' themes.

Yet the significant 'cosmic blink'/'wild card' eclipse of 2018 was 2 New North 'The Tower Eclipse' of August 11, 2018 @18Leo41 ('collapse of lifestyles and plans, major rebuilding once the dust settles' - Brady). Perhaps you agree that 'The Tower' Eclipse themes remain with us today and may be attributed in large part to the Covid pandemic. Such themes and events show that new leadership is needed for such rebuilding after the destruction wrought during Trump's four years playing the POTUS role. Going forward, the Uranian saboteur has no solutions, only more crazy uncle-ness, division, chaos, rage, and destruction. And wouldn't you know? So with major societal changes and reforms due with the approaching Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction on December 21, 2020 @00AQ29 - conjunct US POTUS Sun (@00AQ49 at noon January 20, 2017 = Trump) - I'm posting the 2018 SN-to-POTUS-Sun horoscope for reconsideration, and as always your on-topic comments are welcome and appreciated! Transit South Node @00AQ53 conjunct 2017 POTUS Sun (00AQ49), a cosmic event which perfected on October 27, 2018:

So let's close with another triggering of US POTUS Sun: In the realm of Politics there was at least one other activation of 00Aquarius, a significant conjunction because it was transit Uranus to 00AQ00 (Technology; 'global cooperation'? 'Age of Aquarius'?) on January 12, 1996 during the Bill Clinton era. So that Uranian cosmic event began America's Year 1996 with unpredicability and a few shocks, plus, Pluto's entry into Sagittarius. Jupiter-Pluto Energies Combine as November Nears and 2021 Looms Ahead

This past April we discussed the November 12, 2020 Jupiter-Pluto Conjunction and considered its DC Horoscope reposted here:

Today let's add a few additional notes concerning Jupiter-Pluto indications in the Trump era with our focus on America using Washington DC as a symbolic representation of our nation. Few links to previous posts on related topics are included in this post so if a particular topic interests you, please type it into the sidebar Search widget by scrolling down a bit and see if a selection pops up.

So basically, the duo of Jupiter (increase; expansion; growth) and Pluto (power; wealth; manipulation) represent power-craving plutocrats and Plutocracy and most everyone knows that Trump is a plutocrat acting for his own profit and on behalf of wealthy donors and billionaires. Exploitation of the weaker is their 'claim to fame' by employing whatever means necessary with emphasis on manipulating the levers of power - financial, legal, political. In previous SO'W posts I have also related Jupiter-Pluto to the Fed and perhaps you'll agree that the US Federal Reserve System, our 'central bank', works for and with the global syndicate of international banking houses - and specifically with the House of Rothchild leading the pack of wolves and foxes from their lairs in Europe and the City of London. Their network of links and associations (many by marriage--keeping power and control within The Family) is what makes a global financial collapse totally possible!

Then with the installation in the White House of foxy Trump controlling the levers of the US financial system, we can see that The Family of banking houses has joined forces (if they weren't already joined!) with at least one global organized crime syndicate, namely, with mobsters and outlaws wielding political power and influence in the US - in league with Klanish thugs and zealots of the white supremacy/alt-right persuasion. And for strong-arming those who disagree with an authoritarian America as the 'new order', Trump's enforcers use and threaten to use one of Plutocracy's favorite tools: primal violence. The explosive Mars-Uranus Conjunction, exact on Inauguration Day 2021, suggests this.

The Jupiter-Pluto Cycle: Approximately 13 Years

Now as you know, all planetary conjunctions time a new beginning of their cycle and for Jupiter-Pluto, Year 2020 has in stages marked the completion of their previous cycle which began on December 11, 2007 @28Sag24. By degree, their conjunction created a cosmic time link with the current Saturn-Uranus Cycle for its three conjunctions in 1988 perfected in the degree range of 27-30 Sagittarius. Perahps we should note a couple of things: that the upcoming Saturn-Uranus square with Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus identifies a period of extreme resistance to authority--Fixed energies are rigid and stubborn; and, that on a basic level, the combination of Saturn and Uranus has to do with the overthrow of an 'old order' and the establishment of 'the new' which is also an underlying theme of the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction coming at Winter Solstice 2020 (see a link to its midpoint potentials, below).

And so as noted, in 2020 Jupiter and Pluto conjunctions perfect three times: April 4, June 20, and the November 12, 2020 Conjunction you see in the chart, above. If we take the cycle's 13 years and divide by 3, we get approximately 4 years and about 4 months for each of the three horoscopes to represent (and leading up to their next conjunction on February 5, 2033 @14AQ50). Or, we can count all three conjunctions in 2020 as a process with a combination or variety of Jupiter-Pluto implications over the next 13 years, their influences alternating in strength. So the three conjunction horoscopes can be read in a variety of ways. How about another: Chart 1. problems present; Chart 2. denial and delay (Rx stage); Chart 3. solutions are found.

Of course, with the US Congress paralyzed by Republican Mitch "grim reaper" McConnell, implementation of pro-99% solutions is another matter best left to a president of the Democratic persuasion - so please Vote so we can get one!

DC Horoscope: November 16, 2020 9:00:59 pm est Trump Lunar Return 21Sag12 in Return 5th house of Speculation and Risk-Taking; Moon rules the chart and applies once--sextile Venus (see lower left); Venus @24Lib28 (in Return 4th house) leads a ruthless Locomotive shape of planets and is apex of a T-Square pattern: Pluto-ASC = Venus: wielding influence over others bwo an attractive personality (Ebertin).

Note that Lunar (aka, Moon) Returns describe ordinary conditions, the emotional temperature, and the tempo of daily life for aproximately one month until the transiting Moon again returns to her natal degree. Trump's next Lunar Return (21Sag12) will perfect in mid-December 2020 slinkily near the Total December 14, 2020 Solar Return @23Sag08 in the turbulent 4 South Saros Series (strong emotions over money and relationships) which will affect Trump's natal Sun-Moon opposition conjunct his Nodal axis. Additionally, as you know, December 14th is the day the Electoral College is scheduled cast their votes.

Undermining SCOTUS? Who Else but Neptune!

Horoscopes: SCOTUS 1790 (inner) with a snapshot of the June 2020 Mars-Neptune Conjunction (outer); as you see, both transit Neptune and Mars were conjunct 1790 Saturn in June (Mars-Neptune = Saturn with potentials for: 'instability; misdirected energy; unfortunate consequences because of a weak will; lasting illness or weakness; an epidemic; toxins in the body'--R. Ebertin).

In Progress, a Significant Transit to SCOTUS Saturn: transit Neptune, now floating through its own sign of Pisces, is influencing and more than likely undermining Saturn in the SCOTUS First Session Horoscope (February 1, 1790 NYC--I use 9:00 am LMT). The slow-moving gas ball has been within orb of 1790 Saturn for some time, yes, but in February and March 2021, transit Neptune @20Pisces will directly conjunct SCOTUS Saturn, the legal-eagle planet of judges, The Law, attorneys, courts, government, authority, realism, facts, accountability, reliability, restriction, limits, and thereby will reveal a period when structures and traditions are being eroded and/or are disintegrating due to current conditions.

This erosion of our court and legal systems has already begun, of course, but early 2021 could be the period when such effects become stronger and thus more obvious to the general public, perhaps to the point of legal paralysis.

Other possibilities with Neptune-to-Saturn include contagion (Neptune) affecting judges or other court officials (Saturn) to a hobbling degree, there may be loss although it's impossible to say from what cause (it may be mysterious!), and/or there may be some combination of inspired ideals and misguided notions being argued during proceedings. Naturally, other court circuits may be affected as well (Saturn) with substandard judges attempting to adjudicate in positions they should not have taken due to inexperience, ill-preparedness, lack of education, and/or odd or strange ideas. Notably, conspiracy theories may crash against brick walls during this period.

Now as you know, much of the results of Neptune-to-Saturn for SCOTUS will depend on whether Trump manages to finagle four more years with sidekick Barr running interference for his scofflaw antics, or, whether Joe Biden takes the White House and brings with him a more professional team such as former prosecutor Glenn Kirschner who some see as imminently qualified for the position of US Attorney General to replace Billy Barr. Perhaps you've heard Mr. Kirschner's Justice Matters podcast or watched his videos, and as one born with four planets in Saturn-ruled Capricorn, I appreciate Mr. Kirschner's reality-based views and legal expertise!

DC Horoscope: US Ceres Return December 2020

October 9, 2020: Below is the DC Horoscope of America's Ceres Return of December 20, 2020. As you know, in Astrology asteroid-archetype Ceres is associated with food supplies, grains, milk, nurturing, The Mother (including Earth), and, as I often use it here, democracy. December 20, 2020 is actually the third of three exact returns to natal degree (8Pis41--see chart, upper, for the dates) of US Ceres which also happened (on July 4, 1776) to have been conjunct the transiting midoint of Plutocracy, Pluto-Chiron (8Pis20). Visions of control and exploitation come to mind, and as you see in the center of the horoscope, the forceful often brutal Mars-Pluto midpoint conjuncts our Ceres on December 20th suggesting toxins in our food supply. In the realms of biology and health, Mars-Pluto relates to potentials for organ replacement, toxemia, high fevers, an overactive pituitary gland, cell regeneration, and/or tumors (Ebertin). And to me it seems that food additives continue to be in the spotlight and democracy is under seige (Mars-Pluto = Ceres) as we already know that it is.

Ceres in 11th house suggests humanitarianism so food shortages and supply chain difficulties may continue to be in the news and cause trouble within the sphere of our country's social safety net. Childen go hungry in America yet as you know, Pisces is the sign of compassion but can also suggest shady goings-on and/or disapppointment.

To close, I'll paraphrase from Emma Belle Donath's book Asteroids in the Birth Chart (revised) concerning Chiron in Pisces and end with a quote:

An October Opposition: the Biden-Trump Debates and the Klan

Thursday October 8, 2020: With the current transiting opposition between Mercury Rx in Scorpio and Uranus Rx in Taurus we see general tendencies in the Collective such as 2020 candidates jumping to erroneous conclusions about others, twisting others' ideas to suit one's purpose, and the possible involvement of people of influence who harbor bad intentions. Well, that sounds like any and all political debating, doesn't it? And pretty well describes the very practice of Politics itself. (But don't mind my opinion, I'm jaded--Stars Over Washington turns fifteen years old on October 16, 2020 with over 5,000 published posts!).

So to get to the point of this particular fuss I'm going to just go ahead and type it out loud: the Klan is in the White House and current transits to its 1865 planets (shown, above) reveal cosmic influences upon political conditions in the US and the excruciating Campaign 2020 ongoing as dictator-wanna-be Trump attempts to coup the Oval Office for 'four more years'. Meanwhile, CFR-er Joe Biden challenges the authority and pseudo-exalted standing of the Klan via Trump while, in what passes for political 'debates' these days, so much is left unsaid and many of the facts are distorted ad nauseum.

Now the data I have for the KKK is as follows: December 24, 1865 "12:00 pm LMT" (exact hour unknown) Pulaski, Tennessee: ASC 5Ari06; MC 2Cap59 (see chart, above). If you know of more accurate data, please let me know. Until then, this is the data I use to set up the organization's 'modern' chart for the group's origins go back further, of course, back to the Knights of the Golden Circle (of which John Wilkes Booth, Albert Pike, and Jesse James were members--Pike, a leader) and to the slave patrols of yesteryear which exist still via trigger-happy (racist) police officers on the hunt.

So what's being aggravated in the KKK horoscope of 1865 by the current Mercury-Uranus opposition is the Klan's dictatorial, willful, power-craving Saturn-Pluto opposition across the intense Taurus-Scorpio axis. Here are a few potentials of the transits which are most intense at the second Biden-Trump debate (October 15, 2020) so I'm comparing the chart of the predictive New Moon of October 16, 2020 with the 1865 Saturn-Pluto opposition of the Klan - also because the Libra New Moon @23Lib53 favors Joe Biden for the win.

CFR vs the Klan

2020 Mercury Rx @11Sco10 conjuncts 1865 Saturn @9Sco39: denotes restricted ideas and/or plans, serious thinking, and perhaps a tendency toward dullness of mind.

2020 Mercury opposes 1865 Pluto Rx: conditions of corruption and disintegration; opposing forces attempt to manipulate; information is withheld due to paranoia and a need for protection; wrong information is deliberatey provided in order to mislead; thoughts are strongly expressed but others refuse to listen; intense communications.

2020 Uranus opposes 1865 Saturn: authority is threatened (especially if it has been illegitimately gained); methods are challenged; opposing forces demand change and a new order.

2020 Uranus conjuncting 1865 Pluto: disrturbing conditions, disruption, upheaval; hidden fears surface; unsuccessful manipulation.

Addtionally, the basic energies within the Klan's Saturn-Pluto opposition are in process of being activated along with the January 12 2020 Saturn-Pluto Conjunction at 22Cap46 which continues to be ruffled by transiting Saturn and Pluto with transit Jupiter yet to actualy reach 22 Capricorn in mid-November 2020. We see this ruffling when Joe Biden presents new views of the future and adds a realistic interpretation to our current predicament, and when escapist Donald Trump is inspired by the use of drugs and employs illusion to gaslight us all.

January 2021 Lunations and the Testing of America

October 6, 2020: As you know, too much is happening in 2020 to focus fully on year 2021's political and cosmic happenings and conditions but so far there's this: 117th Congress Scheduled to Open January 3, 2021 - depending, of course, on the medical status of DC politicians and their staff members by January. Of course, a virtual Congress may be an option but time will have to tell. So as it now stands, thanks to the superspreader-in-chief, mainly Republicans have been put in danger of the contagion, if Trump contracted the virus at all.

(Perhaps you agree that it's difficult to believe anything a pathological liar says and this one has major political, financial, and personal motivations for everything he says and does, so there we stew. As usual with Trump, nefarious schemes are afoot! And as Trump has said, What you see and hear isn't what's really happening. Yes, we know. That's one reason Astrology is a valuable lens for looking at Politics.)

But on to some basic info concerning the Lunations of January 2021:

January 13, 2021: New Moon @23Cap13 activates all the recent transits to this degree (and 2 or 3 degrees before and after) by Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto including the harsh, calcifying Saturn-Pluto Conjunction of January 12, 2020 (conjunct Trump's natal Vertex! Hardening of his arteries?). In fact, this New Moon may act in similar fashion to a solar eclipse as some new moons do and may activate the energies within the Saturn-Pluto combination, plus, the lunation may make signifcant contacts with the rest of the January 12, 2020 horoscope and planets. Note that this Capricorn New Moon also opposes US natal Mercury Rx which then ruffles America's natal Mercury-Pluto opposition (surveillance, propaganda, mind control, etc, etc). And of course, conditions within our national Mercury-Pluto opposition continue to be activated or revisited as America's Pluto Return perfects three times in 2022.

Sabian Symbol of the January 2021 New Moon rounded up to "24Capricorn": "A Woman Entering a Convent--CONSECRATION: positive expression: the irresistible power of a true inner vision; negative expression: abject surrender to weakness.

The culmination or fulfillment of something begun at the 2021 Capricorn New Moon arrives with the Full Moon of January 28, 2021 @9Leo06 so the Collective goes from the Cancer-Capricorn security axis to the Self-Will axis of Leo-Aquarius. Other realms are involved, of course, but those are the ones I tend to use here on SO'W for mundane charts and political indications. And naturally, since a Full Moon can act similarly to a Lunar Eclipse we can expect the leaking or unveiling of additional secrets, scandals, and/or inconvenient facts around or during the last week of January 2021 into February. Not that we wish for more but criminals always have a lot to hide, doncha think? Their lives depend on keeping secrets. Additionally, this Full Moon conjuncts the natal 12th house (hidden!) Pluto of Trump (10Leo02) and along with his natal Pluto of the Underworld always comes his natal midpoint of death, murder, bodily harm, fury, and destruction: Mars-Saturn = Pluto (Ebertin).

Despite this, the symbol for the January 28th Full Moon is bracing for the Collective for it's "Early Morning Dew"...REJUVENATION!

Even so, considering the lunations which open year 2021, plus, Trump's mishandling of the pandemic and other grievous Republican 'antics' against the American people, I'd say that there will be bright spots in 2021 (ex: 2021 solar eclipses bring less difficult themes) yet we'll continue to be mired within the difficult atmosphere of the cold-hearted, brutal Saturn-Pluto duo (with its 33-to-35-year cycle) into February 2021 and on to the first eclipse of 2021, a Lunar Eclipse @5Sagittarius on May 26, 2021.
