Nancy Pelosi 2019: Neptune conjunct natal Mercury

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (official portrait; public domain) was born in Baltimore, Maryland on
March 26, 1940, birth hour unknown (RR: X). In such cases, it is typical to set up a natal horoscope using '12:00 pm' and when this is done, Speaker Pelosi's natal Mercury Rx is positioned @17Pis07 and natal Neptune Rx @23Vir49, in wide opposition.

Today I mention Mercury and Neptune, not because of Trump's vastly problematic square between his Mercury in Cancer and Neptune in Libra but because two transits now affect Speaker Pelosi's Mercury and Neptune and both denote periods when being vulnerable to deceit or deception are increased, even predictable: transit Neptune to natal Mercury (3x, third conjunction on or about February 2, 2020) and transit Jupiter square natal Neptune (3x, third square on or about November 3, 2019).

During such transits rational thinking may be hard to attain, grasping reality a concern or a goal, and sticking to an agenda can be difficult. Inspiration increases and high ideals may prosper, it's true, but given that she is in her seventies (as is Trump and other politicians holding on to the their power with all their considerable might!) it seems appropriate to keep an eye on such deceptive transits since the ideals and perceptions (true ones or false) of all politicians inform policies and laws which have major impact on us all. Plus, both Pelosi and Trump were born under the influence of Mercury-Neptune aspects, a similarity that suggests potentials for dreaminess, illusions, and deception--his internal (square), hers external (opposition).

Of course, a strong natal Saturn can mitigate such tendencies (as can other more realistic placements, plus, positive transits and progressions) and I'd trust Pelosi's Saturn in earthy, practical Taurus over Trump's Saturn in watery, emotionally defensive Cancer any day.

So since Speaker Pelosi's natal Mercury opposes her natal Neptune, she is in process of experiencing a generational transit of Neptune in Pisces opposing Neptune in Virgo. This transit may not affect her personally but if it does, some form of persecution may be vaguely felt as generational ideals are pitted against one another.

Sounds much like Speaker Pelosi's tussles (some say "widening gap"--very Neptunian) with AOC and the rest of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC), doesn't it?

Previously we discussed the DC Horoscope of Spring Equinox 2019 with a late-Virgo Moon rising (chart shown) and floating toward the March 21, 2019 Full Moon @00Lib09 (see link, below) which perfects upon America's natal Midheaven (MC = The Goal; Aspirations). Given the bright light of a Full Moon, this lunation should be interesting for its ability to shine a spotlight upon career and other public 10th house matters as perpetrated by the US government and its current 'leader' Donald Trump, The Unprepared Grifter and choice of racists everywhere. His 'world stage' activities are spotlighted this week by the current position of his testy, hypersensitive rising planet--and perhaps more defections from the 'Trump Party' will ensue.

This cosmic condition of full awareness is emphasized by the fact that in the Spring Equinox 2019 chart, Mars @23Tau08 ruffles the natal MC of Trump and suggests that he's entered a period of energetic self-promotion (more than before? impossible!) during which his demands for public recognition may increase (!) including attention from other public figures of authority (ex: despots he idolizes--and/or possibly Speaker Nancy Pelosi whose Mars Return it is!). Mars-to-Midheaven may also bring more scrutiny upon his activities, positively or negatively, and on actions of his male relatives (exs: Kushner, Don Jr, his racist father Fred). Launching some new sort of campaign is within the realm of possibilities as well (ex: a Twitter attack on a newly chosen victim-opponent?), while going to extremes cannot be ruled out especially since this describes Trump's usual way of behaving. And of course, the US Military, the movement of forces, police activation or issues, and/or veterans' affairs may also be part of his Mars-to-MC picture this week. Of course, we may expect his rage level to be increased by the fact that the furious star of violence, Algol, twinkles menacingly upon Trump's natal Midheaven.

Note that with its two-year cycle, the last time transit Mars conjoined Trump's natal MC was in April 2017; the end of April 2017 marked the end of Trump's 'first 100 days' in the Oval Office.

Now readers familiar with the natal chart of Donald Trump see the position of Mars @23Taurus as lining up to square his natal Mars (exact on March 26, 2019). This is a time when his strong survival instinct becomes even more obvious (and needed!) along with his tendency toward self-preservation-at-any-cost. Even less diplomacy than usual may be evident for the focus will be on aggression, anger, frustration, conflicts, battles, possible construction faults, and even accidents and/or injuries. Add to this transit Mars square Trump's natal Ascendant on March 30, 2019, and we have more ego conflicts, battles for top position, pushy behavior, open confrontations, social tension, and the potential for physical strain.

Then by the time transit Mars reaches his 10th house trio of Uranus (danger of blow-ups; forcing or enforcing changes), North Node (meeting with or encountering males; meetings full of conflict; anger shown in public), and Sun (risky situations, direct confrontations, vitality, energy) just after opposing his natal Moon in Sagittarius (May 2, 2019), we may all be worn out by - or simply fed up with - the anger and rage of Donald Trump.

Horoscopes: Trump Shutdown w Feb 1, 2019 Planets

January 21, 2019: below you see a bi-wheel of DC Horoscopes with the Trump Shutdown chart (December 22, 2018 12:00 am est) in center surrounded by the transits of February 1, 2019. My reason for using February 1, 2019 is that this times the exact opposition of transit Jupiter (Mr. Money Bags) to the natal 10th house Uranus of chaos-creator Donald Trump, a significant transit when financing and business matters may come to a screeching halt, a lack of solidarity is problematic, and everyone wanders off in various directions which makes coordination of group efforts impossible for the moment. Plus, opposing views and opinions abound and there's too much political conflict within Trump's personal network to get things done. All the energy of this transit is focused on one day only: February 1, 2019, so hopefully things will improve as February plods on toward the February 19th Full Moon @00Vir42 which conjoins and spotlights royal Regulus and the natal Ascendant of Donald Trump. (Please note that my February Full Moon post was written when the Trump Shutdown was only a gleam in its papa's eye!)

For as you know, Full Moons mark phases of completion, culmination, and fulfillment begun at the previous New Moon so will the February Full Moon time an end to the Trump Shutdown? Possibly! Yet we can't be certain of prognostications when dealing with the unpredictable Uranian Mr. Trump, plus, transit Uranus is involved, planet of unpredictability, with catalyzing action that disrupts or shocks so that things seldom turn out as any normal person would expect. Actually, the only thing we can expect is change.

Now as you know, Trump's natal Uranus @17Gem53:34 is last to rise before his natal Gemini Sun and is therefore his oriental planet--his 'guiding planet' of gut intuition--with all that disruptive anarchist Uranus implies. Transit Jupiter @17Sag53:34 on February 1, 2019, acting as leader of a BOWL shape in the chart (advocate of a cause), makes one exact opposition from the 3rd house of the Trump Shutdown chart to Trump's quirky Uranus. Then on February 4, 2019 comes a New Moon @15AQ45 (horoscope shown) and the seeding of new plans. Also note that the Trump Shutdown Moon @22Gem59 conjoined his natal Sun (22Gem conjunct NN) while opposing his natal Moon (21Sag conjunct SN) so he probably felt ego (Sun) satisfaction as he called for his shutdown although he's currently not so thrilled with the mess he created and the fact that he continues to be held accountable for it (Shutdown Moon opposite natal Moon = emotional tantrums?).

Trick or no trick in the form of a Senate vote this week, his and McConnell's attempt to switch the blame to Democrats and onto Speaker Nancy Pelosi is not favored although typically the gullible may comply and swallow it whole. I believe that on one level, the Trump Shutdown is Trump's way of retaliating against the American people for voting a Democratic House into power! And it's also his pathetic attempt to usurp power and the spotlight away from Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats which is, of course, against the will of a majority of November 2018 voters.

Now across the bottom of the chart/s below you see three major transits upcoming in relation to the Trump Shutdown including tr Jupiter opposing Shutdown Moon (3x beginning March 11, 2019), tr Jupiter square Shutdown Mars (3x beginning March 16, 2019), and tr Saturn conjunct Shutdown Pluto (at critical degree 20Cap16--3x beginning April 12, 2019) which denote a heavy mixture of political conflict--and dramatic changes for Trump, along with a sense of urgency, and unstable conditions in the realms of power and finances.

As for the Trump Shutdown chart itself is a difficult trio which forms a midpoint picture of power-craving Sun-Pluto conjunct Saturn with potentials for: loss in relationships due to power struggles (Trump natal Jupiter vs Pelosi natal Jupiter); ruthlessness; separation). Then as you see, on or by February 1, 2019 the trio morphs into Moon-Pluto conjunct Saturn with potentials for: grave inhibitions, depression, and mental and emotional suffering (Ebertin)--Trump's Christmas gift to the American people. Noel Tyl adds: feelings of loss, constraint, and the pressure to regroup forces and plan anew. Well, there's a good idea.

January 19, 2019: at 4:00 pm est today, Mr. Trump seems determined to speak on an immigration compromise allegedly intended to jump start negotiations over the Trump Shutdown now in its 29th day. So far Democrats are said to be unimpressed and he has yet to open his mouth. In a chart set up for today at 4:00 pm est White House, there's a problematic Thor's Hammer pattern of Uranus-North-Node (reformers; radical politicians/politics; upsets; restless work conditions) = Venus (diplomacy; values; money--a lady like Speaker Pelosi) which denotes a softening of policies, or the introducing of novel ideas. We'll soon see about that.

Below is a bi-wheel of my intended post today concerning America's current secondary progressions ('SP') with the January 21, 2019 Lunar Eclipse @00Leo51 which will directly affect America's natal POTUS Sun (the leader; Jan 20, 2017 @00AQ49 = Trump). As you see, transit Neptune @14Pis35 continues veiling, hiding, obfuscating America's POTUS in deceptive Pisces (with a cosmic peep-eye! to FOX News pundits), and as usual, both charts are over-stuffed with details.

But hopefully those who are interested can enlarge the image, possibly print it, and manage to read the many notes penned on (you will be rewarded!). DC Horoscopes: February 2019 New and Full Moons

Left: New Moon @15AQ45 February 4, 2019 White House Washington DC; Hour of Mars @23Ari31 in the very visible 10th house and approaching 'wild card' planet Uranus. This explosive planetary pair blend their energies during 'dangerous times' and there is US natal Saturn (legalities, justice system, Robert Mueller) conjunct the New Moon IC, the Basis of the Matter. This New Moon phase culminates with the Full Moon of February 19, 2019 @00Vir42 conjunct royal Regulus ('success if revenge is avoided') and the natal Ascendant (and Mars) of Donald J. Trump.

Now as you see, transit Saturn (highlighted in blue, 6th house) @15Cap22 conjoins the Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') prior to this New Moon, an eclipse which perfected on the evening of January 5, 2019 and will forever be imprinted upon the opening of the 116th Congress with its theme of 'joining a new or unusual group and gaining a great deal' (paraphrasing Brady's Predictive Astrology). Our newly elected House representatives of the Democratic persuasion certainly did that!

Below right is the February 19, 2019 Full Moon conjunct Regulus horoscope which shows asteroid Nemesis rising ('the unbeatable foe' or, 'divine retribution') in Gemini along with gold-hoarding Midas. The Full Moon falls across the Virgo-Pisces victim-savior axis and squares fixed star Alcyone ('something to cry about'). Follow the link for my original post which was composed prior to the brutal Trump Shutdown which began at midnight on December 22, 2018 so I'm thinking the cosmic picture here refers to the suffering of the American people and Trump's sabotage of the US economy using as an excuse his vanity project 'the wall' that he and Republicans could have funded and built during the two years they had control of House and Senate. The timing of the Trump Shutdown leveled extreme stress upon federal workers coming just before Christmas, and I believe that Trump was encouraged to time it to prevent much of the 116th Congress/Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House publicity from taking over the airwaves. Plus, Trump wanted a 'showdown' with Speaker Pelosi and to present her with a crisis to deal with instead of the progressive agenda (he hoped)--why else wait for her swearing in as Speaker? Of course, Sean Hannity of Fox News and the other Murdoch shills advised him of this necessity and as you know, power-grabber Trump hates it when someone or an event takes away what he considers 'his' spotlight. Alcyone's tears of affected federal workers and others with no paychecks with which to feed their children are of no consideration for we know what Trump has already done to children.

Yet predictably, if Big T can figure out how to end his Shutdown without too much humiliation, he'll attempt to claim the 'savior' side of the Virgo-Pisces axis! That's unless 25% of the US government inactive is the permanent condition the GOP has longed for all these years. If so, 25% may be just the start with full collapse their ultimate goal (and Putin's).

2019 Neptune @14Pis08 nestles between the 2007 Uranus-North-Node midpoint and pair of radical, anarchistic, progressive politics in the 12th house of Politics, Large Institutions such as Congress, and Karma which forms a picture of potentials including: meetings with unusual people (new congress members?), undermining of associations, being suddenly deceived by others, and/or people who are easily impressed by others. Note that this position of nebulous Neptune is the natal degree of the Republican Party (1854) which had its final exact Neptune Return on December 29, 2018. Plus, 2019 Neptune conjuncts 2007 Uranus which suggests changes in society are due but with confusion and disorientation involved as technology conflicts with ideals.

This looks to me like a cosmic picture of Republicans undermining House Democrats (old news!), in particular the progressive wing of the party and - tiresomely - the pro-people policies they and Nancy Pelosi support (to the extent that she does).

And finally, 2019 North Node conjoins 2007 Moon 27Can42 suggesting major publicity, emotional and/or spiritual ties between the congressional ladies, families and children in attendance at both events, and Speaker Pelosi's expression on January 3, 2019 of this being the 100-year anniversary of Women gaining the Right to Vote!

The Long Shadow of Neptune in Pisces

On December 17, 2018, former FBI director James Comey delivered bracing remarks concerning the failure of Republicans to stand up and speak the truth, and their role in the undermining of the rule of law in this country by supporting Donald Trump with nary a murmur of dissent. Undermining Neptune at work!

Following this came former Republican congressman David Jolly's recent comments to Brian Williams on his The 11th Hour program who stated that, "History's going to cast a long shadow over Republicans..." for their weakness and lack of upstanding behavior during this time of American crisis. So here again is the horoscope of the fifth of five Returns of Neptune to its shady position (14Pis01) in the 1854 founding chart of the Republican Party, details following:

GOP Neptune Return #5 December 29, 2018 5:45:09 am cst Ripon, WI; Neptune returns for the fifth and final time to the exact position it held on March 20, 1854. In Ripon the MC = 5Lib49 conjunct the natal Neptune of Donald Trump, his natal Chiron, then natal Jupiter Stationary @18Libra; rising in Ripon is 13Sag24. However, as an update, please note that the following details concern this chart relocated to Washington DC and is composed with the advantage of hindsight from my original post: Hour of the Moon (changes, fluctuations, publicity) which leads a Locomotive shape of planets (ruthless determination toward success) from the 9th house (Philosophy; Legal Matters; Foreign Lands). Is this leading Moon the America public? Or is this Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi? Or even Trump with his lunar issues? Perhaps all three? Surely it doesn't denote Putin and his undermining minions!

Whatever the lunar case, the natal Moon-South-Node conjunction of Donald Trump rises (21--23Sag) with his quirky, chaos-loving Uranus-North-Node-Sun trio setting; ASC 26Sag58 makes Jupiter chart-ruler and Jupiter @11Sag14 in DC (conjunct US natal ASC 12Sag) is in the 12th house of Politics, Karma, and Self-Undoing. Chart-ruler Jupiter applies only once--to a square with the GOP's Neptune which is posited in the 2nd house of Values yet conjoins the 3rd cusp of Communications (14Pis12) in the Placidus House System. Republicans expressing Jupiter-square-Neptune values are they?

Well, a Jupiter-Neptune square (ruler and sub-ruler of secretive Pisces) identifies the current delusions, illusions, pretense, deceptions, inflation, speculation, schemes, disguises, sabotage, propaganda, and fraud ongoing from and by the Republican Party and its under-fire leader, Trump. The square also points to the disappointment and losses of society via the GOP-Trump-Putin campaign to undermine the US government. My feeling is that whatever happens to Donald Trump resulting from his legal troubles, saboteur Putin has 'won' in his take-down of America--and mitigating the damage is what most American must hope for along with the rebuilding of our institutions which must occur once the dust settles. Best outcome from this saga is that America will emerge stronger than before! Of course, undermining of structures is an effect of the current Solar Eclipse, 'The Tower Eclipse' @18Leo41, which perfected on August 11, 2018 with themes of collapse and rebuild (Brady).

We also see the eclipse's influence via yesterday's court ruling against the Trump 'charity' Foundation now collapsing under the weight of its own illegal funny business as the judge ordered it to dissolve a la Neptune and distribute its remaining funds to actual charities. As you know, the gentle side of Neptune approves of and promotes compassion but in Trump's case, the enforced kind must suffice.

Now as you know, this first-ever Neptune Return of the Republican Party has been ongoing since 2017 but the horoscope above shows Neptune's last exact conjunction, as noted, which repeats its natal aspects of 1854 and reflects the planet's fraudulent, undermining, disappointing qualities affecting society and which now "cast a long shadow" over the Party of Trump, as Mr. Jolly says of history. ('Jolly' suggests a Jupiterian figure!)

And the Sabian Symbol for the GOP's natal Neptune in shady Pisces, now activated under a bright spotlight? "A Lady in Fox Fur"...'negative expression: "amoral opportunism"' (Jones), a trait which Donald Trump, operating from the Oval Office, now shows he shares with Republican Party members on Capitol Hill. Yes, Neptune's mask has slipped! But will we hear about it on Fox 'News'? Lately it seems that's a 'maybe'.

Oh and btw: in DC Trump's natal Jupiter conjoins the Midheaven (18Libra) (the most visible point in a chart) which denotes their shared value of pursuing financial and political gains above all else. And there's the natal Jupiter of Nancy Pelosi (18Aries) at the IC, The Basis, of the chart just in time for her gaveling-in on January 3, 2019 as she and Trump face off on Jupiterian issues such as budgets, deficits, and border wall building.

January 2019: Opening of the 116th Congress

December 13, 2018: For the congress-curious reader Ballotpedia provides 2019 congressional information such as members' salaries, Committee details, and more.

Last I heard, the 116th Congress of the United States is scheduled to open on January 3, 2019, probably at 12:00 noon ET, Capitol Building, Washington DC. Of course, swearings-in of new members will be a first order of business--and the Moon in Sagittarius denotes outsiders, or someone different in the House! And amazingly, these new members have lowered the average age of Congress by a decade and many of them are ladies (Moon).

A Little Astrology: January 3, 2019 noon est Capitol Hill

If this date and hour are accurate, some interesting midpoint pictures appear at that particular moment, some that involve the Midheaven ('MC'), Point of Aspirations, Goals, and Public Status as it passes over the Capitol Building. This chart works symbolically even if the opening hour changes so let's consider a few chart factors for this date which has quite often been the opening date of Congress--I know, because it's my birth date and as a child it seemed that Congress opened every year as 'a gift' for little Capricorn me. Silly, of course, but no one told me differently so I persisted with the illusion! For it seemed a small and private honor then but that was before Congress members broke the public trust they had had with the American people back then and began neglecting their constitutional duties. Now we see the hot mess that has brought to America.

Yet hope must forever spring! So let us consider some prominent chart factors and their potential expressions for January 3, 2019 at the semi-speculative hour of 12:00 pm ET Capitol Building Washington DC with a few basic chart details penned messily upon the chart, plus, some natal placements of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (in blue) and Donald Trump (in lavender pink):

Rising is 18Aries14, appropriate for a new undertaking, plus, 19Aries is the Exaltation of the Sun degree (but also the Fall of Saturn degree--Devore). This places the natal Jupiter of Speaker Pelosi on the Ascendant--opposing the natal Jupiter of Donald Trump on Descendant. Financial quarrels rising! yet Jupiter also relates to Politics, ideals, and plans for expansion. And note that Venus in Scorpio leads a BOWL shape of all the planets which suggests to me that Venus represents Nancy Pelosi whose natal Mars is opposed by this Venus (see chart notes in blue, bottom left). It's a 'battle of the sexes' continued for you know what Speaker Pelosi said about Trump's manhood after their dust-up in the Oval Office over funding for his border wall and his threat of a possible "Trump Shutdown"!

Now Aries rising makes testy Mars the chart-ruler and therefore the ruler of the 116th Congress. Meanwhile, activist Mars @1Ari45, just past the Aries Point ('AP') of Fame and Recognition, has risen and is in the 12th house of Politics and Large Institutions such as the US Congress; can Back Room deals be far behind? No doubt some have already been proposed and accepted. Or perhaps 12th house Mars, a leader and trailblazer, (with guru Chiron @28Pis11--a mentor?) will act as a Secret Enemy of the behind-the-scenes 12th house variety. After all, The Leader, the Sun @13Cap01 is in 10th house near the MC (10Cap07) but surrounded by enemies--or are they henchmen? For restrictive Saturn @11Cap41 and powerful manipulator Pluto @20Cap41 (at critical degree) form a trio with the Capricorn Sun (also at critical degree) and we might wish to consider the trio's potentials within a midpoint picture--fading but still somewhat in effect due to the weightiness of karmic Saturn and karmic Pluto along with the solar importance of the day. Plus, the Sun's position in Capricorn marks the annual opposition to US natal Sun @13Cancer when plans and goals of the nation should be reassessed and altered if necessary in order to reach goals.

Saturn-Pluto = Sun: sparing no pains in one's work; renunciation; privation; physical toil and over-exertion; physical separation. A closer midpoint picture exists at noon as well--Sun-MC = Saturn: the necessity to make grave or difficult decisions; reserve; a negative outlook (economic, I suspect, along with Everything Trump, plus, big donor/corporate interests interference). But another thing about the 2019 Sun: it conjoins asteroid Icarus who in hubris flew too close to the Sun in an escape attempt so that his wings melted. As you know, Icarus refused to listen to his papa (Saturn)! Yet does this Capricorn Sun surrounded by legal-eagle planet Saturn (Mr. Mueller?) and hidden-power Pluto (foreign and/or wealthy manipulators--saboteurs or assassins) actually represent on another level Donald Trump who is also an Icarus figure? Will he escape indictment and/or impeachment? (See today's CNN news about Trump's Friends Flipping on Him.)

Or does the Icarus archetype signify congress members whose wings are singed by standing too close to Trump (Republicans) or who will somehow stand in Big T's way as the congressional session continues (Democrats)? Perhaps all of the above? Not knowing as I type if the Mueller Report will have been released by January 3, 2019 and possibly sent to the House--or partially revealed to the public--these questions are impossible to answer with any certainty, at least by yours truly. Plus, Trump's tax returns by federal law can be demanded by the chair of the Ways and Means Committee without approval by the Senate, as House Democrats have promised - yet Astrology can't tell us everything.

By comparison, the 115th Congress horoscope for January 3, 2018 12:00 pm est showed evaluating Venus @11Cap56 in place of 2019 Saturn with Sun 13Cap16 (opposing US natal Sun in Cancer, did we say?) and primal Pluto @18Cap52 which activated the 1993 'New World Order' Uranus-Neptune conjunction/s with their 'the big picture must be followed, very little option to do otherwise' (Tyl) and Sabian Symbol for 18Cap: POLITICAL POWER (Jones) which implies foreign control or interference (ex: the City of London). It will interesting if tragic as 2019 proceeds to see what the idealism and plans of the progressive new members morph into as the riot act is read them by party bosses Pelosi and Schumer. If past methods hold, new members will be instructed that they will vote how they're told to vote but hopefully such strong-arming will lessen for the good of the American people who voted for a more progressive agenda than party hats have provided so far, their cotton-filled ears notwithstanding. Yet Ms. Pelosi has reportedly agreed to step down in 2022 so we'll see if the backlash against her speakership has abated for now in this generational clash.

Now with Mars as chart-ruler 'his' applying Ptolemaic aspects give clues as to how things will proceed. However, this Mars makes no applying aspects in the chart which emphasizes the warrior planet's sign and house position--Aries, his own sign, and 12th house of Politics and Karma so it looks like it's going to be an active, possibly pioneering, and secretive two years, folks, for among the new members of the 116th Congress there must be at least a few Aries-inspired ladies among them!

This may denote a new cycle of deception beginning for or by the Trump administration or the seeding (New Moon) of them. Either way we'll know more very soon by the bright light of the next Full Moon @00Lib09 (March 21st) which conjoins the natal MC of the US natal chart (5:09 pm lmt) with the Sun @00Ari09 conjunct our national IC, the Foundation of the Matter, but also The Drain and the HOW? Point. America's public status and reputation in the world should be in the spotlight more than usual around that time, such as they are thanks to asset Trump and the Kremlin. Disruptions, shocks, or upsets may occur. And when unmodulated by aspects from other planets, quirky Uranus's energies are difficult for any individual to handle and denotes one who acts independently of outside influences, is restless, nervous, and discontent. Yet in this 2019 Equinox horoscope, Pluto @22Cap51 already conjoins Trump's Vertex, a point in Astrology of 'fated encounters' or 'appointments with fate'. This may suggest a meeting between Trump and one of his idolized dictators or it could suggest a cosmic picture of something even more sinister, something that's been brewing for a long time in that karmic reap what's been sown sort of way.

For there is one thing everyone in the Universe agrees on: the piper must always be paid!

2018 Midterms Over: Horoscopes of Trump vs Pelosi

Due to yesterday's 2018 Midterm Elections in which the Democrats won control of the House of Representatives, in early January 2019 Nancy Pelosi (RR: X for time unknown) will become Speak of the House, the first woman in US history to do so. Meanwhile, Oval Office occupant Donald Trump is said to be quite happy with this arrangement and, as an old friend of Nancy Pelosi (and of Chuck Schumer), called her last evening with congratulations. I shall leave it up to you to decide whether or not their tenuous association will mitigate Trump's usual vicious insults, fibs, and jabs, plus, with the new 116th Congress in 2019, Trump will have a wider field of lady politicians to take aim at while he's fighting off subpoenas, very inconvenient questions, and investigations led by Democratic Committee chairs.

Now since Nancy Pelosi's natal chart is untimed, noon is used to set up a bi-wheel of Donald Trump's timed natal chart (inner) with Pelosi's planets surrounding; her Prenatal Solar Eclipse ('PE') in the 14 North Saros Series is included with its themes penned on, lower left, and as you see, 14 North is the series of The Sequestration Eclipse of November 2011 (era of the 'Super Congress' which was 'a peculiar turn of events' concerning 'unexpected financial happenings'--Brady):

November 7, 2018 transits to Pelosi planets include: disruptive Uranus conjunct her natal Saturn @00Tau44 suggesting changes and altered circumstances in the realms of Saturnian authority and leadership, plus, new methods for handling responsibilities. Now let's allow Astrology to chime in with a link to Nancy Pelosi's X-rated natal chart set for March 26, 1940 Baltimore, Maryland. Appropriate for her being 'retained' in her congressional role, her chart shows an abundance of stubborn Taurus, a money sign of growth and preservation. Mrs. Pelosi's birth time is unknown, hence the X rating but since her natal Moon remained in Scorpio for the 24-hour period we know her personality blend is a Fire-Water Sun Aries-Moon Scorpio combo which we already discussed some time ago.

Happily we need no birth hour to check out the Prenatal Eclipse Saros Series into which she was born--the 14 South (18Lib36) which last repeated in November 2011--November 25, 2011 @2Sag36, to be precise. This 'peculiar' eclipse of 'unexpected happenings in finance' (Brady) brought the American people an ill-titled 'Super Congress' whose members obscured the blame for financial difficulties and created Sequestration across the board (but not so much cutting of black-ops, surveillance, and military expenditures, of course, since the Utopian dream of conquering and occupying the entire world is very very costly-for citizens).

Wonder how Pelosi's natal Mercury-Neptune opposition (on the Virgo-Pisces axis) will stack up against Donald Trump's natal Mercury-Neptune square (Cancer to Libra)? Both aspects between the planet of thinking processes, communications, and comprehension and deluded, deceptive (if inspirational) Neptune are problematic though as always, the development of maturity and ethical standards bring more positive results. Mrs. Pelosi's opposition denotes one who can trigger destructive qualities in others, a tendency toward scheming which causes others to distrust her, a suspicious nature, and telepathic ability. Mr. Trump's square indicates issues with distortion of facts (misconceptions and indiscretion), unintentional unreliability, a tendency to make errors when the unconscious mind plays tricks on the conscious mind, and occult interests.

Both the opposition and the square between Mercury and Neptune suggest that both Pelosi and Trump have problems keeping secrets; either aspect may indicate a cunning nature that uses underhanded ways of disclosing confidential information although other chart factors may mitigate this unfortunate tendency.

Looking at a chart for November 15, 2010 10:00 am est Capitol Building Washington DC we see 1Cap57 rising with NN 3Cap36 and Pluto 3Cap45 in tow; Hour of Mars 13Sag19; Mercury 9Sag48 out-of-bounds and conjunct Fixed Star Antares (obsessed with success); it's a First Quarter (crisis in action) phase; there are no planetary patterns (T-Squares, Grand Trines, etc.)

Mercury OOBs may represent the new representatives and the change (Mercury) of members from the Nov 2 midterm elections since Mercury isn't in-sync with the other actors (planets) yet.

If I had to sum up in two words this horoscope and Lame Duck Session 2010 they'd be emotion and power. Sun 23Sco08 conjoins Fixed Star Agena (honors, high status, a good organizer, sensuality, scandal, gossip, sarcasm, cleverness, success with the masses - A. Louis, Horary Plain & Simple); Moon 14Pis08 conjoins Fixed Star Achernar (empathy, humanity, patience, success, religion, philosophy, but also 'crisis at the end of the river' which may relate to flooding or other Neptunian crises such as debt and fraud.)

At Midheaven, the Goal Point of the chart, are two Fixed Stars: Spica (potential for brilliance) and Arcturus (a different approach); we know the November 2 midterms will shoosh into Congress new political players but whether brilliance will shine forth from the infusion remains to be seen: a 9th house Saturn 13Lib05 parallels another Fixed Star that's not so lovely: Zuben Eschemali (negative social reform.)

'Negative social reform' is what this populist/common-gooder American would have to call the Saturnian austerity cuts being handed down from highly paid politicians who enabled the banking industry to steal trillions of dollars from the US economy and private pension funds, some of which US banks sent to foreign bankers and investors. Well, I realize that the Lame Duck Congress may not open for business precisely at 10:00 am on Monday - maybe the members will sleep in - thus, the horoscope I'm using here is symbolic. Still, the Sun Scor-Moon Pisc blend remains in effect on Monday and may yield some clues to the atmosphere - not just of the day - but of Lame Duck Session 2010 itself.

The Water-Water blend of Sun Scor-Moon Pisc indicates a dedication to hard work, emotional intensity, the able use of shrewd strategies and subterfuge, and a deep sense of commitment to a larger vision. "Setting up their last major battle over war policy with President Bush, House Democrats yesterday unveiled a plan to link their favored domestic spending projects and a troop-withdrawal timeline to additional funds for military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan requested by the White House.

The $195 billion spending measure would pay for the wars well into next year while tacking on $11 billion to extend unemployment benefits and nearly $1 billion to offer expanded higher education benefits for war veterans. Democrats said they hope that the spending provisions, particularly the education measure, will prove politically difficult for Bush to veto in an election year.

"If he wants to make a federal case out of the fact that we feel the need to do something major to reward the troops, that's his prerogative. But I don't think the country will agree with him. And I certainly don't think the country would agree with any effort to deny the extension of unemployment benefits," said House Appropriations Chairman David R. Obey (D-WI.)

The White House remained opposed to the additional spending, demanding a "clean" bill to fund the wars by the symbolically important date of Memorial Day.

"We feel strongly that the Iraq war supplemental should remain for national security needs. We understand that there could be debates on other issues, such as unemployment benefits and food stamps, other issues that are important to a lot of people. But those issues can be taken up separate from our national security needs," said Dana Perino, White House press secretary.

House Republicans also denounced the Democrats' plan.

"It is unacceptable and, indeed, unimaginable for Congress to continue to hold our troops hostage for political leverage. If House Democrats want to ramp up spending on other government programs, those items should be considered separately," said House Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio).

The House's emergency supplemental funding measure is broken into three pieces, including $162.6 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, of which $66 billion is designed to cover war costs for several months after the next administration takes over. The second portion includes language mandating immediate troop withdrawals with a goal of having most all troops out by the end of 2009. The third part includes the domestic spending."

"Federal case"? That's a hoot! Most of the varmints of Washington belong IN federal cases, ones in which they each STAR in the role of Defendant.

"Hold our troops hostage"? I'm blathering like an idiot over that one and hardly know what to say to the war profiteering hypocrites.

And then there this from Dubya...

Bush wants a "clean" bill? So he's saying that the current down-and-out needs of the American people are dirty? If George keeps messin' around like this, he's going to hurt my feelings in a minute.

And if anyone's needs--and motivations--could use a laundry full o'soap bubbles and scrubbing with a stiff brush, it's the Bush administration and its friends, pardners, colleagues, kith'n'kin, and enablers.

This 'vision' one-government types follow, this 'world server' merde isn't going to turn out as most of you hoped, and while taking down the innocent as you go may seem like a grand plan, you trigger the law of cause and effect and the attraction principle, even while Chaos Theory seems to be at your express disposal.

It is not.

You are merely mortal in similar fashion to the rest of us no matter what your scientists and gurus may tell you, for no one is above God's natural laws...certainly not the cold-hearted reptiles of the world like you with your claws deep into Washington's hide.

Poetic justice? Perhaps. Talons and goatheads, our Washington!

Thanks to the Spaceweather.com Newsletter we find that Venus is lining up with the Twins of Gemini, Castor and Pollux..as she did on June 2, 1999. You'll find Tunc Tezel's photo of 1999's alignment as seen from Ankara, Turkey here for Venus' cycle is 8 years..so it's time.

With the WTC being so obviously symbolic of the Twins (Twin Towers), the previous date of Venus' line-up with the dark'n'light *Twins of Gemini isn't particularly comforting to this reluctant astrologer, although it should be a lovely enough sight this evening once the sky goes dark (look West--which may be what some other folk are doing.)

Venus's position in the tropical zodiac for this hook-up is 27Can19 and I'm posting a chunk of the chart for 9:00 pm edt along with George Bush's natal chart on the outside since Venus is conjuncting his Saturn 26Can30.

The transit of Venus to Saturn indicates a desire for solitude or, if in company, it must be that which serves some practical purpose (he doesn't have to worry--I won't be knockin'!) It may also indicate "grace brought to ambition" (Dr. Noel Tyl's Synthesis and Counseling in Astrology.)

Also tonight Mercury will conj US n Jupiter, so we may expect lots of international communications ("chatter"? hope not) and information will be pinging all about...perhaps more than is usual over a weekend...some 'new' news may surface esp within Jupiter's realms of philosophy, money, and expansion issues.

You also see here the ongoing triggering of Bush's n Venus/Pluto midpoint by tr Saturn which I have mentioned before...

With Jamestown still in the news and its 400th anniversary just passed in May, this is an interesting degree for lady Venus which speaks of, "...cooperation between various phases of human culture, such as those which have become crystallized in a faithfulness to the special values they have held intact and those which provide the new potentials of a genuine frontier spirit.

Now we know that a"city on a hill" makes a well-lighted target as one did in 2001, for conservatism exists within al-Qaeda and its hydra-headed offspring, doesn't it? And since Venus' visit to Castor and Pollux of 1999 was prior to 9/11, I must say, "conservatism"? please--not again.

And the politizing and partisanship-above-all-win-at-any-cost attitude continue in Washington. You were expecting stewardship maybe? It's Pluto/Chiron's class warfare and oppression...'elite' rulers vs the sheeple, and we're losing in part because of our habit of identifying with the 'upper classes' which so many of us dream of joining one day (puh!)

Back to Venus: Carelli's "28Can" degree has no word picture, but quoting in part for our purposes:

A rare Venus Transit indicates new, unsuspected, and unusual alliances being entered into. (Remember the ridiculous open-shirted photo-op the big cheeses indulged themselves with upon the beach in 2004? Guffaw! Wonder who snapped that one with a straight face?) Bush and Putin were still in their fabled "eye gazing" phase of partnership, if I'm not mistaken.

This year, protest organizers are handing out leaflets saying:

And who can disagree? Imho, their global policies of war profiteering, pillaging of natural resources, and their cynical manipulations of governments are helping to create refugees, hunger, environmental degradations, and death.

Venus is, after all, a vengeful lady when scorned and was the trigger on 9/11 of the King of Alarm Solar Eclipse degree of Aug 11, 1999 when strife was let loose upon the earth. "19Leo" is also al-Qaeda's natal Sun's degree, btw, and Carelli's "19Leo" gives in part:

"...a senseless and stubborn arrogance sets him against those worthier, mightier, and better than himself...(he has a) grudge against mankind and unjustified rebellion against public opinion."

Further Note on "28Can": the opposite or Illumination Point degree "28Cap" = "A large aviary." An interesting degree considering the recent drug-resistant strain of TB that's now been jetted around the globe...and his father-in-law just happened to be a TB expert at the CDC? Get OUT!


Question: have you read Congress' 2006 Solar Return? It's still in effect until November and contains Dane Rudhyar's version of the Sabian Symbol for "18Libra" which is the important US Mars' secondary station degree when our Mars function turned Rx for the first time in US history (July 2006.)

Mars = military, police, young men, pioneers, inside (Rx) instigators and could describe a leader of the feminine persuasion since Mars Rx natally was shared by many of the women suffragettes of the past.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi came into more power under this influence, but there could be more ladies to come with the 2008 election--and US Mars will be Rx by progression for 80 years hence.

Pelosi Dismisses Criticism of Damascus Trip and she happened to mention that the White House hasn't complained at all about the three Republicans who met with President Assad in Damascus Sunday--only about the Dem's trip which includes our first Muslim Congressman, Keith Ellison (D-MN.)

Blessed are the peacemakers, and the more the merrier no matter their stripe--assuming that that's why all of them are there.
