2020 into 2021: Nervous Times and Cosmic Blinks

Simply for the sake of comparison, below is a dual image of the two upcoming eclipses that will round out year 2020 and escort society into 2021 with their disruptive, revealing Uranian 'wild card' and 'cosmic blink' qualities: Lunar Eclipse @8Gem38 (lower left) of November 30, 2020 and the Total 4 South December 14, 2020 Solar Eclipse @23Sag08 (the day the Electoral College is scheduled to vote). The eclipses occur across the Gemini-Sagittarius axis which is ruled by Mercury and Jupiter, and both manifest in Mutable (changeable) signs.
However, the Lunar Eclipse brings in Fixed Signs of Taurus-Scorpio and Leo-Aquarius suggesting rigidity within financial and business interests (Taurus-Scorpio) in partnerships (Asc-Desc) with the self-will stubbornness of Leo-AQ affecting career and security matters across the 4/10 axis. Yet perhaps a bit of Aquarian humanitarianism will sneak in to our Domestic Scene (Ic/4th house). And since the November Lunar Eclipse @8Gem38 conjuncts US natal Uranus (8Gem55), yet another unusual twist of fate could appear on America's calendar during this particular eclipse season which just as easily denotes a positive twist so that no additional nervousness will be warranted ahead of time. Pre-worrying never assures good outcomes anyway!
And so the December Solar Eclipse falls within the difficult 4 South Saros Series and perfects near the South Node of the fluctuating Moon so energy tends to drain away from conditions and karma from the past is involved with 10th house matters (Washington DC). Mercury @20Sag05, planet of young people, writing, reporters, messages (ex: tweets), negotiations, commerce, theft, and/or elections, is nearest the eclipse and conjunct the Saturnian South Node indicating ideas and solutions ahead or behind their times, or those that could be plagiarized.
Also, you see that in the 1st-7th houses, the Virgo-Pisces axis (also Mercury-Jupiter ruled) is intercepted suggesting fated issues that must be dealt with in the victim-savior realms (ex: Trump's caged children? hunger and eviction due to the lack of a stimulus package from Congress?). Well, victim-savior issues we know - we've been feeling and experiencing them for quite some time now (for illness, see below).
Influences of the December 14th Solar Eclipse can begin for up to at least two weeks prior to December 14th, perhaps earlier in November. Taking the Fifth against self-incrimination notwithstanding, Mr. McGahn may or may not appear on Capitol Hill tomorrow or at a later date and yet (for the curious among us) the current transit of asteroid Nemesis (divine retribution; the unbeatable foe) may deserve our attention this week for its Zodiacal meet-up with a certain natal planet of Donald Trump.
Because on the morning of May 21, 2019, transit Nemesis clocks in @8Can35 - conjunct the natal Mercury of Donald Trump (8Can51). However, this conjunction of Nemesis-to-Mercury @8Can51 won't perfect until May 22, 2019 at 1:13 am edt Washington DC when a YOD pattern forms with potentials for crisis, crossroads, turning point, special task, and/or karmic opportunity for progress. With the transiting and explosive pair of Mars-Uranus sextile at its base, the YOD's apex is the May 22, 2019 Midheaven ('MC') @2Sag49, and the Sabian Symbol for '3Sag' (rounding up) is "Two Men Playing Chess"...keyword: ABILITY; negative expression: "unsuspected bigotry or foolish exactitude" (Jones).
Well, since we're talking Trump here I'm not certain how unsuspected the bigotry is. But I am certain we can read the trio in the YOD as a midpoint picture containing potentials...Mars-Uranus = MC: an inflexible character; desire for independence; a person 'putting a pistol to someone's head'; act of violence; the execution of drastic and violent measures; injury; accident; operation; extraordinary achievements (Ebertin). These potentials affect the Goal Point of the Nemesis-Mercury May 22, 2019 1:13 am edt Washington DC chart and seem to express Trump's extreme desperation to keep his affairs as private as possible.

So as everyone has noticed long before now, foes, enemies, and opponents are always on Trump's mind and his tendency toward mobster speak spotlights this (ex: people who reveal the truth about him are "rats"). Meanwhile, Trump's natal Uranus-NN-Sun in Mercury-ruled Gemini reveals his life vs death attitude, often a feature of Gemini along with the sign's desperate need to always be right. Plus, Trump's oriental Uranus in the 10th house describes his love of chaos as a ruling style for he likes to disrupt everything, then watches to see who's still standing.
And aptly enough, in May 2019 Trump's natal Nemesis @16Can40 has progressed to 16Leo09 conjunct his SP Mercury 15Leo48. That transit Nemesis now conjoins his natal Mercury (8Can51) spotlights the unbeatable foe/divine retribution implications of Trump's thinking and, of course, his communications such as his revenge tweeting. But is he pondering the joy of separation and of saying good-bye?
Perhaps, because his current progressed ('SP') midpoint pictures affecting his SP Mercury in Leo reveals interesting potentials such as: SP Moon-Saturn = SP Mercury: 'sadness, saying good-bye'; and SP Mars-Uranus = SP Mercury: 'a test of power carried out calculatingly; nervous irritation; an achievement; acting independently'; and SP Moon-MC = SP Mercury: 'soul stirrings' (Ebertin). Really?!!?
Then another SP midpoint picture may apply as well--SP Neptune-NN = SP Pluto: exercising a bad influence upon associations between people; relationship breakdown between people living together. Of course you know the Neptune-NN pair denotes 'a lack of communal sense and feeling; the inclination to exploit, deceive, and cheat other people'. So says Reinhold Ebertin about fraudulent, undermining Neptune when combining its urge-to-merge energies with the North Node of public contact and future direction. Michael Munkasey adds the potential to: 'use strong destructive forces to protect one's privacy'.
And one's tax returns, and Don MacGahn's and Robert Mueller's information about the criminal activities and obstructive behavior of Big T.
Now to close, it may be of interest to mention that Don McGahn's natal Nemesis @25Tau54 sits upon the natal Midheaven of Donald Trump (conjunct enraged star Algol) while opposite, Mr. McGahn's natal Neptune Rx @24Sco21 conjoins the natal IC of Donald Trump! So no matter when (if) Don McGahn testifies on the topic of the Trump White House, this cosmic condition involving McGahn's Neptune-Nemesis opposition and Trump's MC-IC axis promise to make the revelations of Don McGahn, if any, very very interesting.

And as you see, Luna is chart-ruler and there's an applying Moon-Mars opposition (Mars "4Cancer" = "A Cat Arguing with a Mouse"..JUSTIFICATION--Jones) which denotes testy emotions and quarrels (plus, an angry public?), yet Trump's natal Sagittarian Moon (conjunct his SN) is again being transited by jolly Jupiter Rx indicating a period of happiness which Trump has recently avowed himself to be feeling (has an offer been made for his retirement?).
Yet Jupiter with South Node suggests this is also a period when ethics conflict with societal standards, endeavors may be blocked, and there are problems in relation to foreign lands. Loss (SN) of money (Jupiter) may also be in the picture along with Trump's diminishing popularity. More 'positively', broadcasting Jupiter in his role as politician will tend to repeat words he's mouthed in the past (SN) although, as you know, Mr. Trump repeats himself all the time--at his rallies and elsewhere. (It must be really annoying to be around grandpa telling the same story he told ten minutes before.)
Now one interesting planetary aspect between Trump and Don McGahn, a "real lawyer", is that their natal Saturns square one another (Aries/Cancer) which suggests conflicting values and disagreements (penned on the chart, upper), and in Astrology Saturn is legal planet of the law and government. There are other aspects between them, of course, but since my blogging time is brief today, I'll leave them for you to ferret out if you're curious!
Funny how Mercury-ruled Gemini is the sign of records and note-taking--Gemini McGahn takes them and Gemini Trump disparages them due to the record of his words and deeds they keep for future reference.
Recently I caught a TV interview with Toronto Star's Daniel Dale and was encouraged by the thought that someone objective was keeping such close tabs on the many lies of prevaricator Donald Trump. Other journalists are doing so as well, of course, but I do like the cut of Mr. Dale's jib.
Yet after all, it isn't as if multiple astrologers hadn't warned over and over about Trump's unfitness for office, his loose relationship with the truth, his magical thinking tendency that allows him to live in his own fantasy-prone world in spite of reality, his misconceptions, and loose-lips-sink-ships indiscretion--all unfortunate features of being born under a Mercury-Neptune square without other chart factors to mitigate the difficulties. And you know that Trump's inability to hear others and his lamentable resistance to learning and lack of curiosity can also fit neatly under the Mercury-Neptune-square umbrella with cloudy, confused Neptune permanently stuffing cotton balls in his Mercurial ears and brain cavity. It's an umbrella he can't close.
Then there's his natal Saturn, karmic planet of realism, authenticity, authority, responsibility, accountability, and limits. However, Mr. Trump's natal Saturn is in its detriment in the Moon-ruled sign of Cancer, a hypersensitive placement full of discontent (Moon-Saturn), a bottomless need for approval, defensiveness, and attachment to material possessions.
And of course, with dysfunctional Saturn in a natal chart and psyche, Papa is always implicated unless Mama wore the pants in the family but in Big T's case, a Cancerian Saturn points toward both members of the parental unit. Sorrowfully adding to the drama, Baby Donnie even sports from birth a dreaded Moon-South-Node conjunction, a Lunar-Saturnian combination suggesting early estrangement from Mom. Talk about a big mess!
Add to all this Trump's negative Geminian tendencies toward duplicity and superficiality, his lack of morals, shifting standards and then, thanks to the 2016 Election, the American people are yoked to a raging dumpster fire in the Oval Office--hunkering down, lashing out, and blaming anyone but the one person responsible for his current woes.
Now who was it said Reality Bites?
And yet we know that, tragically, as Donald Trump goes, so goes America. But does he remind you of an embarrassing trail of bathroom tissue stuck to the bottom of America's shoe? Me, too.
Even so, we'll keep our chins up while checking out an informative segment from the Thom Hartmann program featuring an interview with Daniel Dale himself. And maybe with the help of a still-breathing US Justice Department we can snuff out the raging dumpster fire, its lies, crimes, sabotage, scandals, insults and all!
October 18, 2018: Below is a dual chart showing both the November 7th New Moon and the November 23rd Full Moon of 2018 set for Washington DC. Please enlarge to read my scribbles:
As you see, the New Moon @15Sco11 perfects the morning after the 2018 Midterm Elections and as usual, marks the beginning of a new cycle with the Moon at the Point of Regeneration (15 Scorpio), aka, the Eagle Point. Without knowing who the victors will be as I type, this chart must speak for itself with restrictive Saturn @5Cap30 rising and acting as chart-ruler (Cap ASC) which makes no applying major aspects to other planets in the chart. This emphasizes Saturn's sign and house position (12th house of Politics, Large Institutions, Self-Undoing, and Karma) but at least Saturn isn't afflicted in the chart and has left his off-again-on-again trine with radical Uranus conjunct the New Moon IC (Foundation; Endings; The Drain) from the 3rd house side and at a critical 29th degree of Aries, a disruptive placement of zealots, anarchists, and radicals.
Obviously, Technology and Communications are part of this Uranian picture and of course, Mr. Trump is Uranian since natal Uranus is his guiding planet due to its oriental condition (last planet to rise before his Sun). A side note of interest may be that asteroid Eros @17Gem40 (5th house; the piercing) conjoins Trump's natal Uranus, planet of chaos, disruption, and shock. Is this a reference to the Mueller investigation or its findings?
Also prominent is rising Pluto @19Cap06 suggesting a tale of massive events coming up that are uncontrollable by mere mortals and possibly relate to surveillance and ties to the Criminal Underworld. As you've heard, Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report on Trump, the Russians, and -other- may drop as early as November 7th ('after' the Midterms). That the separative South Node ('SN'; the 'tail of the dragon') is in 1st house is a negative indicator, plus, SN conjoins US Progressed Pluto (29 Capricorn, a critical or crisis degree) and soon will swipe across US natal Pluto (27Cap33) suggesting potentials for self-reliance but also large-scale changes that affect others who are not consulted. Adding to the complexity is the Mars-Saturn midpoint in 1st house which conjoins America's POTUS Sun (00AQ48 for Trump 2017) and forming a picture of a leader unable to meet all demands or master all circumstances.
With SN conjunct POTUS Sun, Mr. Trump's popularity may be at low ebb as well which we discussed previously (exact on October 27th). In addition, we're still under the influence of 'The Tower' Solar Eclipse (18Leo41) with its theme of 'collapse of plans, lifestyles, and...edifices'. One result may be that Trump's tower of lies finally collapses into rubble but we must hope that, if so, this won't take America down too especially considering all the damage he's already caused our nation.
Mercury @8Sag19 approaches warring star Antares, one of the Royal stars of Persia, and conjoins two asteroids: Icarus, associated with flying too high and crashing and assassination which could be a reference to the October 2, 2018 heinous murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and Trump's defense of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ('MBS'), and Circe (where we rescue or seek rescue). Or, is another assassination on someone's November-into-December 2018 agenda? Perhaps but we should note that 17 Gemini+ is the position of Mr. Trump's natal 10th house Uranus ('18Gemini' = "Two Chinese Men talking Chinese in a Western Crowd").
Now in the Full Moon horoscope of November 23rd (upper right), we find Icarus Rx and still @17Gemini+ in 10th house although divine-retribution asteroid Nemesis @14Gem31 is nearer Midheaven ('MC' @11Gem25; the Goal Point)--and gold-hoarding MIDAS Rx @11Gem11 conjoins the MC (which may or may not be America's natal Descendant). A Venus-Uranus opposition across the 2/8 axis of Money, Values, Shared Resources, Credit/Debt, and Corporatism denotes potentials for 'a treasury showing unexpected rises and falls in its valuation, settings suddenly exploited for development, ruling bodies unable to cope with sudden infusions or lacks of funds, and/or unpredictable vanity shown by leaders or executives' (Munkasey). Eccentric spendthrifts, wastrels, over-indulgence, and extravagance are also suggested by the Venus-Uranus pair along with possible relationship breakups.
And of course you see that the Full Moon @00Gem52 conjoins fixed star Alcyone with key words something to cry about. (Other stars are listed on the right side of the charts.) The Full Moon chart-ruler is Mercury turned retrograde as of the evening of November 16th @13Sag29 and as Rx chart-ruler suggests delays, reviews, revisions, and re-considerations of all kinds including plans and ideas. In fact, this regressive condition is at the Foundation of the Full Moon chart (Mercury Rx conjunct IC) which suggests that whatever was seeded at the November 7th New Moon will be under revision before the Full Moon rather than culminating at the Full Moon as planned.
Chart-ruler Mercury makes two applying aspects: 1. square Mars (5A45) describing a period of frustration, incorrect information blocking goals, provoked anger, possible equipment failure, and rash actions; 2. conjunct Jupiter (7A01) showing expansive plans, an increase of international communications, news about legal affairs or decisions, and/or discussions concerning the employment of relatives.
That this Rx condition of Mercury can affect Midterms' voting outcomes goes without saying for Mercury is the planet of vote casting, ballots, and decisions but hopefully, Midterm victors will be decided well before November 23rd--or counts will be ongoing or contested.
Now there are many other chart factors of note in both charts but in line with my usual desire to keep this a post, not a book, I shall close for now and allow you to fill in the gaps and perhaps I'll see you at the voting booth November 6th!
On the Life and Personality of Mario Cuomo

The American people lost one of their liberal champions this week with the passing of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, born at 9:30 am EDT on June 15, 1932 in Jamaica, New York, age 82. Astrologers recognize the timing of his life span as having a close connection to the 84-year cycle of planet Uranus, planet of genius, originality, and the radical politician (natal Uranus 22Ari37--transit Uranus not there yet but soon will be).
One source gives his time of death on January 1, 2015 (while his son was being sworn in to a second term) as 5:15 pm EST in Manhattan for those who wish to set up a horoscope.
Besides his inspiring oratorical talent, those close to Mario Cuomo describe him as having a writer's temperament which makes sense with both natal Sun and Mercury in Gemini, sign of writers and orators (Sun 24Gem12, Mercury 27:00). Of interest may be a few highlights in the career of Mario Cuomo including his speech on July 16, 1984 at the DNC which catapulted him into the national spotlight (video below). His shout-out to President Reagan's touted 'Shining City on a Hill' (that Utopian ideal of Uranus) as actually 'A Tale of Two Cities' (the reality of Saturn--his in Aquarius) resonates even more strongly now as the 2015 political year begins with a newly rigged Republican majority in Congress threatening working and poor Americans with increased plutocratic oppression. Even the GOP's purported focus on the middle class bodes ill for the underdogs of American society, those weaklings Ayn Rand viciously despised.
Now on a personality level we may wish to consider Mario Cuomo's natal Sun Gemini-Moon Scorpio blend of conscious-unconscious energies, an ethereal Air-Water combination. His Gemini-Scorpio energies gave Gov. Cuomo a mixture of extrovert and introvert tendencies (an eloquent orator yet he loved to be at home which may be part of why he didn't run for president which then opened the door for Bill Clinton to run).
The former governor's Sun-Moon blend denotes a provocative head vs passion character who fought an inner battle between light-dark superficiality vs intensity, and a quick-witted operator who could sell anything (Gemini = commerce and trading), a very useful trait for a politician, lawyer, and educator. Dedicated to his convictions, Mario Cuomo could be humorous and infuriating at the same time with a scathing tongue and many inconsistencies to his character.
Respected by many Republicans, this Democrat may never quite be replaced in US Politics unless another Geminian orator takes the national political stage who holds genuine convictions rather than Gemini's usual changeable instabilities. A Lunar Eclipse November 28, 2012 and Election Day 2012

It's an Hour of Jupiter, and Mars OOBs of the Earthly plane closely conjoins powerful, wealthy, string-puller Pluto @8Cap10--this pair of force and weaponry rise in Washington D.C. and as the eclipse perfects, enters the 12th H of Politics, Karma, Self-Undoing, and Large Institutions (wounded veterans in hospitals and soldier suicides come sadly to mind.) A desire to face danger may be in evidence as well.
Moon = the Mood We're In
A Gemini Moon shows We the People are of two minds as lively attention is paid to all forms of news and communications--we are straining to hear some good news and hopefully the populations of our cities and towns affected by this week's Hurricane Sandy will have heard good news by November 28th! Yes, Moon approaching Jupiter is a happy combination and here Jupiter rules the Sun posited in expansive, broad-minded Sagittarius. Plus, this Lunar Eclipse occurs 2 degr 7 mins from America's natal Uranus @8Gem55 which may serve to increase our excitement and our restlessness.
Indicative of turning points, crossroads, and/or crises are the two interlocked YOD patterns, one with Saturn 6Sco21 and MC at apex (focal points) and a second focused YOD (aka, the 'Finger of God' = an imperative to deal with) pointing toward the Moon (the people) and opposing the Sun (leader.)
Midpoint pictures for these YOD patterns include potentials for irritability, suppressed excitability, self-willedness, desires for separation, and a striving for independence (you'd think we Americans had that one under our belts before now! yet we're under threat once again.) Also denoted are: suffering sudden damage, great energy, ambitious aims pursued, readiness for action, and/or sudden interference in the business of others (an American specialty thanks to our tiresome imperialist plutocrats who wish to rule the world--from the White House, it seems.
Additionally, there are karmic or fated implications for planets when they appear in a chart at the same degrees: Moon-Sun-Saturn (6th degr) and Mars-Pluto-Venus (8th degr.)
A very dynamic picture of tense development is shown by midpoints aimed directly at the Sun (leader) @6Sag46 in 11th H: Pluto/MC = Mars/MC = Sun = Saturn/Pluto = Mars/Saturn indicating potentials for: power to attain success, authority, a strong will, giving orders to others, overcoming resistance or obstacles, sparing no pains in work, renunciation, privation, physical separation, toil, or an inability to meet all demands due to weak vitality.
Of course, this is a Lunar Eclipse so its midpoints also affect the Moon (the public) so we may find ourselves dealing with such issues as: feminine leadership, premature action, deep emotional reactions, lack of deliberation, imposing one's will upon women, independence of women, melancholy, depression, tragedy especially relating to women, illness, and/or a lack of courage (or charges of cowardice.) Looks like the GOP's 'war on women' with its backward-facing legislative proposals will have us stirred up even more in November, as it ought if America intends to remain a 21st century, non-Talibanesque nation!
Now with serious Saturn as chart-ruler (ASC 11Cap22), we take note of the karmic Lesson-Bringer's only applying aspect, a sextile to 12th H Pluto (1A49.) A sextile between these two karmic planets denotes that a challenge is involved--to persevere without becoming obsessive and single-minded. Defending the rights of those who are being victimized is a positive trait of a Saturn-Pluto sextile, yet both Moon and Sun (people-leader/s) may be in victimized (apex) positions here--or may describe those who use the sextile to achieve positive results!
Spotlighted are organization of info and intelligence reports, plus, 'proper management' issues. Top of the to-do list for a Saturn-Pluto sextile are: self-reliance, financial independence, and total control of all decision-making; perseverance will eventually turn around vulnerabilities, disorganized enterprises, and/or plans, and will result in the release or leaking of withheld information.
And since all eclipses are universal 'wild cards' with a Uranian nature and act as catalysts that serve us by uncovering hidden secrets and scandals, perhaps we'll be amazed by what we will soon find out.

Now in a previous post or two I've groused astrologically about Election Day 2012's Mercury (votes, voters, ballots, polls, decisions, etc) performing a Station Retrograde (when a planet seems to stand still before turning direction and is made stronger while in Station mode.) Mercury's Station Rx occurs around 6 pm ET on November 6th and with you, dear reader, I await with baited breath to see if this Mercurial planetary condition again affects election results, both presidential and congressional--as it did in the Bush-Gore brouhaha of 2000. Especially since it Stations at '5Sag' this time which opposes President Obama's natal 3Gem21 Moon and conjoins Mitt Romney's natal South Node (SN) in Sagittarius in his n 7th house (Mitt's natal DESC = 1Sag01) and thus opposes his n NN, a Jupiterian point which has positive joining qualities.
Is Mercury's Station Rx showing American voters reviewing his record and 'turning back' to President Obama to gift him a second term as president? Does the separative Mercury-SN contact for Mr. Romney describe his ideas as old-fashioned and 'behind the times' such as rolling back Obamacare, minority rights, and women's reproductive rights? Well, Mercury-SN shows one who often has trouble gaining support for his ideas and plans (Mercury) so my hope is that the lesser of two evils--Mr. Obama, apparently--will benefit from Election Day 2012's Mercury Station Rx and that the Supreme Court doesn't get an opportunity to step in and decide the presidency on behalf of the plutocrats and neocon warmongers we so recently suffered under for eight years, a bad deal for American society which continues its negative influences to this day and beyond.
And this pertains, no matter how hard Florida's Jeb Bush tries to snow us with his glowing assessment of his disastrous brother, Dubya! Here's Jeb on Meet the Press a while back not showing the slightest sense of irony or discomfort that he even has to defend his brother!

Astro-Note: On October 4, 2012 Jupiter will Station Retrograde @16Gem23 at approximately 9:18 am edt (in 8th house, Washington DC) with the Sun @11Lib43 and 3 days from shining on US natal Saturn, a time of serious circumstances and a particularly important meeting for President Obama. As you know, Oct 4 is the day after the first Obama-Romney debate in Denver, Colorado.
Plus, the Oct 4 Moon @00Gem45 reflects the prior (PE) Solar Eclipse of May 20, 2012 @00Gem20 along with the influences of the Fixed Star Alcyone 00Gem00, one of the Seven Sisters, or the Weepers. We've discussed Alcyone and the Pleiades (which figured into last night's episode of Perception!) many times so I won't repeat here except to say that Alcyone's 'something to cry about; exile; lots of rain' indications remain on our cosmic radar for October 2012. Something oceanic may also be part of the picture, or, someone who goes missing.
When Jupiter goes Rx, we may expect trouble with finances for resources are withheld or delayed and this bodes ill for debt and budget discussions on Capitol Hill (lame duck session), and since Jupiter also rules ideology, its inward-turning Rx period won't do the October debates or Election 2012 much good either especially since voting Mercury performs a Rx station on November 4 at around 6:03 pm edt. Not Again! Yes, Election Day 2000 also had Mercury Rx, as you remember, so astrologers are predicting a similar recount-dispute-voting-irregularity election for 2012. So am I. Tiresome, isn't it?

Eclipses Reveal, Pluto in Capricorn Destructures, and Venus Shows Her Face

As you know, June 24, 2012 brings earthlings the first of seven exact squares of frustration and unrest between upstart Uranus and Pluto the powerful (from Aries to Capricorn, a difficult Mars-Saturn, stop-go vibration.) These two generational planets' current cycle began with three Great Conjunctions in the mid-1960s in mid-Virgo, discriminating sign of The Critic, and of Work, Health, and Service. Virgo's 'The Virgin' archetype appears often in the iconography of America and is usually shown holding a sheaf of wheat. Ceres, Columbia, Mary, and Isis are a few of Virgo's many faces as well and the constellation's stars link our nation with Egyptian myths and goddesses along with an older goddess, Innana whose planet is Venus, now implicated in the Mayan Calendar long count which ends December 21, 2012 at Winter Solstice's alignment with Galactic Center. Well, today is May 11 but solar eclipses astrologically can influence conditions for up to two weeks prior to eclipse manifestion and they often bring The Hidden to light, as you know--plus, keywords for the current Solar Eclipse of November 25, 2011 @ 2Sag37 include "A peculiar turn of events." To add complexity to current conditions, these two Solar Eclipse degrees are opposite one another (00Gem21 v 2Sag37) thus yoking their indications.

Even candidate Mitt Romney's bullying ways in high school are now uncovered in the Washington Post (yet he seems so mild!) His forcefully cutting another student's long hair, strapping the family dog to the top of the family car for a twelve-hour drive...hmm...is a pattern of arrogance at best, cruelty at worst, being revealed? 'Funny' how both Romney and Dimon have used the word "stupid" to describe their questionable actions. We have entered the May Eclipse season and there may very well be more of such awkward and unfortunate revelations in the news, sorry to say...so many culprits and only a 24/7 news cycle!
