Feb 28, 2015 12 am: DHS funding runs dry--during its Jupiter Return?

Such Political Theater!

The US Congress continues to rule by crisis so funds for the Department of Homeland Security will run dry by 12:01 am est February 28, 2015 unless as the clock ticks the formerly exalted body passes a 3-week band-aid or a clean bill for full funding today or this evening. Yes, Washington DC provides the country with a slapdash end of February 2015 but let's consider the month of March.

As many astrologers have written, March 2015 will be replete with cosmic and earthly events of note as Washington politicians continue to live down to what they're styled into a sorry model of government---sort of a non-governing government brought to us purposefully by sold-out politicians following basically the same global government script while political factions jockey for ultimate control of the Big Picture.

As for 'HoSec', as I've fondly called it, the conglomerate of agencies was hatched on November 25, 2002 at 1:44 pm est Washington DC under a fiery Sun Sag-Moon Leo influence. At that time, expansive Jupiter (the General; the Banker; the Guru) was in the 6th house of Military and Police Service but conjunct the 5th cusp (risk-taking, speculation, gambling) and ruled the agency itself via the Ascendant (27Pis29 with the March 20, 2015 Solar Eclipse @29Pis27 falling upon it this Spring Equinox.) Now transit Jupiter's Rx period has (Oct 2014) and will (June 2015) return to natal degree @17Leo59. To me the fact that the DHS is in the midst of its Jupiter Return (or, Reward Cycle--Tyl) denotes that although funding delays (Rx) are to be expected, current theatrics on Capitol Hill over the DHS budget running dry are merely political antics meant to mar President Obama's White House tenure further and--if hotheads have their way--stop or stall the president's immigration plans.

Does anyone need Astrology to tell them it's all a scripted power play?! Sometimes it seems that obstructionist Republicans are little boys turning blue from holding their breaths in an attempt to get a detached dad's attention!

Note that the Sabian Symbol for Mercury's '10Sag' = "A Golden-Haired Goddess of Opportunity." There's much to be said for that particular word picture but since I've typed it many times before, let's not bore each other. You note the nearness to Mercury of saboteur-spy-assassin Pluto of The Underworld for the pair had recently conjoined in Sagittarius. Their conjunction and nearness in this chart spotlights America's natal Mercury-Pluto opposition with its 'secrets, surveillance, propaganda, and mind control' connotations.

March into April 2015 Moons:

The next March 2015 lunation is the March 5 Full Moon in Virgo, the date Purim begins. The Full Moon of March 3 is the Syzygy Moon of Spring Equinox 2015 (aka, Aries Ingress) which brings a critical 29th-degreed Solar Eclipse. As you know, Aries Ingress charts flavor the rest of the year in which they occur until the next March--and this one has a weighty Solar Eclipse attached @29Pisces which doth 'lean forward' anxiously to reach the Mars-ruled Aries Point.

Also of importance is the first lunation after Spring EQ 2015 (chart shown set for DC) which happens to be a Lunar Eclipse on April 4 @14Libra, the date that Passover begins. The April 4 lunation 'eclipses' US natal Saturn (lawmakers, laws, authority, accountability, the status quo, old men) which may indicate a cosmic link to the Netanyahu-to-Congress turmoil theatrically set up by thuggish Republicans who go out of their way to undermine congressional tradition while demonstrating once again their disdain for President Obama.

Week of Dec 1, 2014: Congress returns as Mars conjoins US Pluto Rx

Early next week and for ten days, the US Congress will be back in session prior to their holiday/end-of-year break. At the end of the week on Saturday December 6, a Full Moon @14Gem18 spotlights relationships, alliances, full awareness, and possibly opposition at the fulfillment or culmination phase of the Moon beginning with the seeds planted at the previous New Moon (Nov 22, 2014 @00Sag04.) As a pair, the two lunations may relate to several levels of events, activities, and enterprises of a Geminian-Sagittarian nature, of course, and these may include military concerns, plans, actions, and transport of supplies and troops ('1Sag' = "A Grand Army of the Republic Campfire," a Sabian Symbol and degree which may also refer to the might-makes-right Republican Party and their recently finagled majority in the 2015 House and Senate.)

Note that the Full Moon @14Gem18 is quite near Fixed Star Rigel in Orion--its key phrase 'to bring knowledge' so education may be on someone's agenda. Royal Rigel can also have a civilizing effect on proceedings but it may take several more chart factors and influences in order to improve the behavior of the anarchists and zealots (identified by disruptive Uranus in Mars-ruled Aries) now 'serving' in Congress--and this is the 'old' Congress about to dissolve to make way for the 2015 group of hog castrators and whatnot. Who knows what neglect of duty and breach of public trust may be foisted upon the American people in 2015 and 2016 as President Obama's presidency grinds on down with as many problems and scandals as the undermining GOP can muster. Over-making their point (that the GOP is the only real leader of this nation) seems to be part of their deluded obsessions which hit something of a peak during the 2012 presidential election with Mitt Romney while the party's progressed chart showed a paranoid, self-deceived opposition between progressed Moon and fraudulent Neptune. The public watched political operative Karl Rove express their misguided impressions in real time on live TV!

But next week we find a Moon-Uranus flavor to the proceedings and in Politics and Business that denotes that some members will express great insights into the nation's problems but showing such care may involve use of unconventional methods. Executive orders come to mind. However, many leaders will be acting on their own whims and fancies with little idea of how they are seen by the rest of the world--the American public, or, the wider world. They've already made us all look like blathering idiots, imho, and no less so themselves. And what about Jonathan Gruber's Obamacare-related remarks about Democrats thinking the American people are stupid? Even if they do, it hardly compares to the stupidity (and misbegotten idealism) repeatedly shown these last years by many members of the US Congress who are supposed to favor better behavior and exalted thinking and debating.

Instead, the morons of Congress and their wealthy enablers served us "Green Eggs and Ham" delivered--as if we were children--with a self-important bravado that I admit was embarrassing--and I don't care even a fig for gasbag Ted Cruz!

Yes, it's true that the public has been in many ways 'dumbed down' (by toxically contaminated food, water, air, deviant entertainment, etc) yet our elected 'lawmakers' seem to be dumbing down themselves or pretending to in order to keep from doing the jobs they were supposedly elected (or installed) to perform, especially if strengthening our social fabric is involved. And they act the fool within such an esteemed institution and have made a mockery of it before the entire world!

Okay, I could fuss on, you know I could, but let's discuss the transit of Mars this week to US natal Pluto Rx @27Cap33. This transit comes around approximately every two years or so and is prominent now due to real world events: more war in the Middle East, protests and riots at home with a lamentable Police State mentality in force, murder and other violent acts, settled Civil Rights laws under fire--plus, Obamacare to receive more Supreme Court attention, total surveillance, DNA collection, criminalizing and imprisoning the populace, too many laws on the books, the secessionist movement rearing its sheeted head, crimes of rape--all supported by the Mars-Pluto pair's forceful, intense, and perhaps secretive Scorpionic undertones.

'Purposeful' is a good description of the Mars-Pluto effect in Politics though a me-first attitude with its narrow interests hints at anti-social motives as efforts are perverted away from the public good. Karma--reaping what's been sown--is also an element within Mars-to-Pluto transits and the CIA term 'blow back' comes easily to mind along with the Pentagon's tiresome tendency to make enemies where there were none before via furtive plutonian tactics. Well, they must chow down on a lot of un-indicted ham sandwiches over at the Pentagon cafeteria because they can act awfully ham-fisted.

Other concerns within this Scorpio-drenched picture are potentials for revenge, jealousy, perilous actions, natural disasters, and risk-taking. We all remain, after all, under the vibrations of the October 23, 2014 Solar Eclipse @00Sco24, a 'very Scorpio' degree area at the beginning of the sign and its first decanate.

Positively, some folks will use this transit as a period for rejuvenation and recuperation, discovering new uses for old things (Mitch McConnell? I kid!), investing one's assets, conducting deep research projects, performing comprehensive investigations, having surgery, engaging in daredevil sports competitions, practicing better self-control, studying metaphysical subjects, or perhaps for finding long-buried hidden talents and resources.

What will you be up to as 2014 draws to a close?

Personally I plan to use the next few weeks into January 2015 for family preparations and gatherings, relaxing whenever possible, blogging a bit (including Winter Solstice 2014--coming soon), and, as much as possible, completely ignoring the brazen fools who act like entitled monkeys hooting around the rafters of the Capitol Building of Sacred Geometry style architecture, a Masonic temple reflected from DC's Federal Triangle and aligned with Royal Star, Regulus.

Now if only the 'royal' monkeys of Congress were aware of and suitably embarrassed by who and what they actually are.

Nov 6, 2014: 1st Full Moon Following the Oct 23rd Solar Eclipse @00Sco24

The Full Moon of November 6, 2014 @14Tau26 falls directly upon the Ascendant-Descendant partnership axis of America's January 20th Inauguration Ascendant-Descendant axis marking a culmination or fulfillment of some sort for the office of the US presidency. Does this denote a public favoring of the party of the president at the ballot box just two days prior?

Well, as previously noted here, Democrats are favored in the November Midterms 2014 astrology charts this blogger has studied especially with Venus (planet of the attraction principle) in the same sign on November 4th as the Sun (leader; the president.)

Now this is usually a method used for our 4-year presidential election cycle (and is true in 2016 as well--a female president?) but can it also be an indicator of victory in the midterm election cycle? Barring dirty tricks, lying ad campaigns, rigged voting machines, voter suppression, and other political shenanigans and discrepancies by the win-win crowd of manipulators, we shall see if the Democrats keep the Senate though perhaps full results won't be in until January 2015 due to run-offs.

Now the November 6th Full Moon in Venus-ruled Taurus, 'money-possession-growth' sign of The Bull (of Wall Street) perfects at 5:23 pm EST since the 'fall back' time change from EDT to EST will have occurred November 2, 2014 at 2:00 am) and this mid-Taurus degree if rounded up to '15Taurus' is known as the Oxen Point and a fortunate degree (DeVore.) The Sun opposite is at the Eagle Point of '15Sco', also known as the Center of Regeneration (DeVore) and keys in historically to the natal Pluto of Thomas Jefferson. Naturally power and control of and by the US presidency are on the Full Moon menu and as noted, a sort of culmination or fulfillment may be reached particularly regarding relationships, partnerships, and alliances (Full Moon phase = relationships, culminations, and full awareness, plus the ASC-DESC axis is triggered.) Yet 7th house realms include Open Enemies and those America has plenty of often searching for and creating them when none voluntarily have appeared.

Perhaps you agree that the monster hunter has become the monster?

The Full Moon's Sun Scorpio-Moon Taurus Water-Earth blend of practicality contains a quiet strength and much determination. And as always with sign Scorpio, self-control is of the utmost importance (though seldom shown these days in our violent, self-indulgent world) though Scorpio's ruler Mars and sub-ruler Pluto, a forceful, powerful, and willful combination, is certainly difficult to manage and tends to bring karmic 'blow back' from previous actions for all must reap what is sown. As you know, the Mars-Pluto pair relates to weaponry and to war and to those who monger, promote, and fight it so we know that current issues involving the military and police will continue to be on everyone's to-do list, and in the news--including the NRA.

All this relates to and issues from the October 23, 2014 Solar Eclipse @00Sco24 which provides everyone with opportunities for karmic progress (ex: forgiving the unforgivable) and yes, it's that darned self-control requirement that eludes so many who are then doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over with a neurotic--even psychotic--head-against-brick-wall mindset. You know--like Washington DC and its global bosses insisting on completion of the Great Plan for WWIII and total control when it's actually themselves they should place under control.

And yes, Taurus-Scorpio = Pluto kidnaps and ravishes Persephone, so more of same in the news with the media part of the problem.

September 8, 2014 Full Moon: US Senate votes on Citizens United

Looks like the September 8, 2014 Full Moon in murky Pisces will time a Senate vote on the Citizens United travesty forced upon the American people by a corporate-ruled #SCOTUS.

As a culmination/fulfillment phase of Sun and Moon, wouldn't it be great if the light of the Full Moon falling across the Virgo-Pisces victim-savior axis spotlights a US Senate acting on behalf of We the People rather than further enshrining the demands of their corporate masters?

At the least, public attention (Full Moon) on September 8 may be shone upon our 'deliberative body' and I hope members' votes are recorded for all to see since this would be useful on November 4, 2014 as people decide if corporate Republicans who'd continuing undermining our social safety net deserve to gain the upper claw in the US Senate thereby completely negating President Obama's last two years in office. This Senate vote with its 'The People v Corporations' flavor may tell the tale of who's against and who's for us!

Plus, you know the formula learned from history: corporatism + statism = facism.

Aug 25, 2014 Virgo New Moon: At the White House

The new cycle represented by a New Moon is here tamped down somewhat by the approaching Mars-Saturn conjunction @17Virgo (at 3:30 pm edt), a critical degree where rioting, protesting Uranus-Pluto met in Great Conjunction/s in the mid-1960s, denoting delays of a stop-and-go nature. Serious conditions abound and even the New Moon is in a serious sign (Mercury-ruled Virgo) in the 11th house of Group Associations/Hopes and Wishes. There are 2nd house indications of financial hindrances in evidence while chart-ruler Venus (ASC 16Lib03) applies in aspect twice--first to warrior Mars (0A13), then to austere and delaying Saturn (1A22). Caution is exercised in financial matters and my suspicion is that this all relates to a new cycle in America's warring interventions in the Middle East--Iraq in particular. Shady or secretive events may transpire over the weekend during the Dark of the Moon, the three days prior to a New Moon.

Perhaps US attempts to sign up allies in the struggle are being shut down or at least hindered by financial and/or political concerns domestically and abroad plus, there's the common view of our 2003 misadventure in Iraq as being a 'bottomless pit in the money department' which was this astrologer's opinion of the Iraq War in March 2003 due to Jupiter the General's retrograde condition at its start--never go to war with Jupiter Rx, even fools know that! But neocon fools had to rush in, didn't they? Then there are the so-called Christian military types who demand a rush toward Armageddon, remember. And now it seems that the Islamic State, (aka, IS, ISIS or ISIL), a band of assassins infecting Iraq, agree.

In Astrology there are two bodies, one a hypothetical, called 'Isis' and on August 25, 2014 they are both located in Tropical Cancer, one @25Can21 (conjunct US natal Mercury Rx--"ISIS" in the Mercurial news) and the hypothetical Isis @18Can21--conjunct the Midheaven of this New Moon chart! The MC is, of course, the Aspiration/Goal Point of any chart--the Why? Point. In this post I won't go into the Isis archetype of the feminine goddess which is worship in veiled form in America from our founding and can be seen in the Venusian Statue of Liberty, dovish Columbia statues and titles (District of Columbia), and other symbols of feminine idols across the nation, usually seen via statuary and in official mottoes.

However, our peaceful 'dove' archetype has been morphed into "...an Eagle" if we look to the Sabian Symbol for '26Libra.' One watershed moment when this occurred was the Bush-Cheney switch of the military to preemptive war which America was never supposed to wage against other nations. At least, America's founders didn't plan our nation that way and this to my dissenting mind is the same thing as a coup d'etat of the US government.

The transiting midpoint picture of Saturn-Neptune = Pluto continues to affect society in negative fashion as many folks are feeling downtrodden while others in charge are busy denying their guilt. Added in the New Moon chart thanks to the Mars-Saturn conjunction are the potentials of this picture--Mars-Neptune = Pluto: dreams of violence (Ebertin.) And this picture hints at America's problematic Mars-Neptune square from July 4, 1776 with its deceptive or misguided actions quality and 'fog of war' implications. I would say, Here we go again--but we never left.

Well, there are several other important factors in the horoscope as you can see (planetary patterns, etc) and I hope you may investigate them for yourself. As usual these days my blogging time is limited and so I'll simply add a few notes concerning chart-ruler Venus in Leo (10th house) squaring Mars and Saturn which hints at how things will proceed from the New Moon of August 25, 2014 in Washington DC, plus, a bit about US Secondary Progression set for that particular date:

Venus squaring Mars indicates a competitive atmosphere in force where our government and others are engaged in battle. Enough energy is on hand to accomplish the task as long as over-reaction to insults and and taking revenge are avoided--maturity is needed which hopefully a cautious #POTUS may provide to override our usual hotheads.

Venus squaring Saturn denotes rejection yet this may actually work to our advantage in the end as money shortages delay efforts and even if we (US government/the Pentagon) gain the needed funds and cooperation from others, the responsibilities this brings can turn out to be much more burdensome than expected--something of equal value may be required in exchange. (This sounds like to entire Iraq enterprise to me with recent questions about 'is the US still responsible for what happens in Iraq after we leave?' But we never really left, did we?)

One word about current US Progressions when the chart is set for our natal location of Philadelphia, PA: our SP Ascendant is @2Vir08 with the August 25, 2014 conjoining it, a condition which for me personalizes the New Moon for current conditions in the United States of America. Our SP Mars Rx (militarized police forces at home--US Mars turned retrograde by Progression in 2006, the year that the Pentagon began supplying local police departments with military equipment and weapons) is being opposed by our SP Chiron @17Ari26 (in SP 8th house) denotes a full flowering of the sacred warrior archetype in the US psyche. As you see, this opposition is yet to perfect with SP Mar symbolically moving toward lower degrees of Aries and SP Chiron (the Quest) moving toward the upper degrees of Mars-ruled Aries.

And of course the Aries-Libra axis is one of war and contention though diplomacy must be fitted in there somewhere. Another factor of great importance in the SP Mars-Chiron opposition is that this is a 'fight injustice' aspect with enormous compassion shown for the oppressed--we hear of such issues each day in the news and experience them in our lives for it's oppressive Plutocracy v The People! The killing of unarmed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri comes to mind along with our worsening income inequality.

A Standing Army and Foreign Wars Our Nation's Waterloo?

Yet the point really is that resolution can only be found on the spiritual level (Chiron) for our Mars-Chiron opposition actually signifies a deeply spiritual condition and on that plane is where true resolution is to be found. Yes, lack of money to fight wars may be our saving grace after all! For casting aside the dreams and visions of Armageddon promoters, We the People must come to a spiritual resolution for ourselves for who can imagine spiritual improvements or benefits coming from the direction of corrupted Washington DC and the political tricksters and financial fraudsters who have overtaken and infest our capital and have hijacked the very destiny of the United States of America?

Brief Notes on the August 10, 2014 Full Moon in AQ (Washington DC)

In Washington DC this culmination of the July 26, 2014 New Moon in early Leo falls within the 2/8 house polarity denoting corporatism, big business, finances, the National Treasury, possessions, earning ability, values that affect self-esteem, insurance, debt/credit, legacies, inheritances, transformation, death, the occult--you know, the usual potentials of the 2nd and 8th house departments of life.

But a culmination or fulfillment of what?

Of something begun under the influence of the previous New Moon. Now the Sun remains in fiery Leo, sign of the 'natural leader' and of braggarts and lawyers everywhere, so we may continue to expect further political charges of 'acting like a king' and 'this is a republic not a monarchy' and blah blah blah--as if anyone who's a cog in the current government wheel of total control wants anything but the status quo. Lucrative? Oh yes. The ruling class reaps huge benefits from the state of things or they wouldn't behave as they do. Maybe that's one reason the Full Moon chart of August 10th shows status quo Saturn blocking (squaring) actions and plans of the Sun (leader), Moon (the public), and messenger-reporter-trader planet of young people, Mercury (20Leo16) in 9th house of Philosophy, Diplomacy, and Foreign Climes.

And this is descriptive of the political theater of Capitol Hill that we're being subjected to in place of actual governing! Because though the US Congress skedaddles out of the District today for a 5-week vacation the astrological implications continue on...here's a telling quote from someone who shares in his natal horoscope the Sun Leo/Moon AQ personality blend of the August 10th Full Moon:

"Idealism increases in proportion to one's distance from the problem." -John Galsworthy. And never more obviously than in federal, state, and local governments now infiltrated by ideologues with deep convictions which leave common decency out of all their calculations.

Considering the above quote, we find in the Full Moon horoscope the pattern of a Mystic Rectangle (between Sun, Uranus, Mercury, NN, and Moon) which sounds cool and denotes a condition of and a need for 'practical idealism' not the pie-in-sky kind. Does John Boehner's lawsuit against President Obama sound foolishly impractical since the bill won't be agreed to by Democrats and POTUS would hardly take part in such an undermining of his administration and of his signature achievement, would he? Once again, you waste our time and millions of tax dollars, sore-loser Republicans!

So it's about time to close this post with the factors that determine (as near as we can tell) how things will proceed from this Full Moon in Aquarius, sign of the American people's natal Moon if you use a July 4, 1776 horoscope with Sagittarius rising.

Full Moon's Ascendant 21Sco32 (conj US natal 12th cusp--the house of Politics, Secret Deals, Self-Undoing, Karma, Hospitals, Large Institutions--they're rising) is ruled by Mars and sub-ruled by creepy wealth-hoarder Pluto, the manipulator and saboteur. Mars applies to two major aspects:

A sextile to Pluto which signifies an intense energy that's available when reaching for more power. Investment and research are favored yet military action cannot be ruled out as we look toward the rest of Summer 2014.

Second is a conjunction to Saturn (8A21) with both planets in 12th house. This denotes a time of obstacles blocking progress (still) and maybe even some self-created troubles arise--perhaps via short-cuts that seemed a good idea when they were taken but now...not so much. Called for are better organizing, careful planning, and an acceptance of the authority of others--something we know the GOP simply refuses to do.

Yes, the Full Moon over Washington on August 10th will find the city's denizens and perps missing, on a break from the 'work' they failed to do but were paid for. Hmm.

Ah, DC! I again will not miss being there in August for I know what it's like and wish to sit under a shady tree in Georgia instead while watching a toddler pick a bunch of dan-dee-lion flowers...

As of Wednesday June 25, 2014, we'll enter the Dark of the Moon--the three days prior to a New Moon when things tend to go bump in the night and shady actions may be perpetrated by any, all, or none. The New Moon perfects at 5Can37 which, as many people know, conjoins the natal position of America's Jupiter (July 4, 1776.)

On June 27th, this Friday, the New Moon perfection occurs at 4:08:27 am edt and in Washington DC, 11Gem07 rises with extra body Pan (a mercurial trickster element hinting at Capricornian pursuits such as gilt-edged stocks and trading, and governmental activities perhaps better left hidden.) Chart-ruler Mercury @25Gem02 Rx is rising in 1st house but makes no major applying aspects in the horoscope denoting that Mercury's sign, degree, and house placement are all important with a New Moon phase signaling that a new cycle of activity has begun. The typical realms of Mercury may be affected by a new cycle such as transportation, travel, commerce, sales, journalism, etc., and Cancer hints at home, food, business, maritime, and/or security concerns.

Besides the chart itself, Mercury also rules the New Moon horoscope's 5th cusp (18Vir14, in DC), the house of Risk-Taking, Speculation, and Gambling. This is one of the chart factors hinting that this New Moon contains implications of financial goings-on with Fed head Janet Yellen possibly a prominent actor (over the next two weeks in particular with something--an event or relationship--culminating or coming to fruition around the next Full Moon in Capricorn on July 12th.) Curiously, the Fed's Secondary Progressed (SP) Moon will reach 5Can30 on June 27, 2014 and be conjoined and darkened by this New Moon. ('The Fed' natal chart I'm using is set for December 23, 1913 with Sun conjunct Midheaven @1Cap17, Capitol Hill--Senator Aldrich and the banksters waited until Congress left town for Christmas break before sneaking the bill through.)

The combination of Moon with Jupiter denotes such things as business dealings, female officials or civil servants (IRS? the Fed?), legal conflicts, large-scale enterprises, negligence, injustice, successful entrepreneurs, rebellion, inner conflict over religion or politics (I.S.I.S? the Republican Party's reputed inner conflict of Establishment v Tea Party?)

Other potentials are shown in the chart as well, of course. So with my blogging time almost gone I shall add only four more chart factors here though there are many worth sharing:

One is the midpoint picture of this lunation...Sun-Moon = US natal Jupiter which gives a flavor of 'joint success' and 'pursuit of wealth or possessions', and the same old Cardinal T-Square between the forceful Mars-Uranus opposition which continues to square manipulator Pluto @12Cap27 Rx (denoting high-powered executives with chips on their shoulders.) This dynamic energy has outlet in the 8th house of Shared Resources, Credit, Debt, Insurance, Corporatism, Transformation, Death, and/or the Occult.

Mars-Uranus = Pluto: violent intervention (US troops to Iraq? oil and other resources must be protected--just ask Shotgun Cheney); violence; a Higher Power. (Ebertin.)

The third chart factor is the ongoing midpoint picture we've discussed several times before...Saturn-Neptune = Pluto: 'denial of guilt from responsible parties'. And as previously noted, I'm certain that you can think of many such denials of guilt now being expressed by certain culprits about their bad decisions and shady behavior.

Now the fourth and last chart factor to mention is the Sabian Symbol for the New Moon's degree of '6 Cancer' which is, as stated, the same symbol (often mentioned on this blog) as for US natal Jupiter: "Game Birds Feathering Their Nests."

Given the low opinion that Washington politicians and others (the Fed) have inspired within this blogger over the past few years (against my will for that is just what they want--for the American people to give up on the US government!) need I type more?

In order of occurrence, the following list of Solar and Lunar Eclipses of 2014 contains brief details for each and includes the Sun-Moon blend Images for Integration which provide word pictures to describe the coordinated blending of Sun (conscious) and Moon (unconscious) energies for each period of time influenced by each eclipse. Naturally, Lunar periods overlap Solar periods which form the background of our astrological motifs for 2014:

1. April 15 Total Lunar Eclipse @25Lib15 (tax day!); Sun Ari-Moon Lib is a Fire-Air combo, a 'live wire' full of ideas enthusiastically expressed: "A conductor leads an orchestra with passionate conviction and a vibrant, pulsating organism of musical perfection is created to the ecstatic uplifting of the audience."

This double Water blend is shared natally by Howard Baker, Georgia O'Keefe, and Bram Stoker whose character Dracula waxed a bit poetic with, "Ah, sir, you dwellers in the city cannot enter into the feelings of the hunter."

June 8 2013 New Moon--Full Moon June 23 2013

With the upcoming New Moon in Gemini on Saturday June 8, 2013, here's a smidgeon I posted about it today on my WordPress blog concerning its Sabian Symbol: "A Large Archaic Volume if you're curious (well, Gemini is the sign of curiosity!)

In addition, you'll find very useful information on Saturday's Gemini New Moon by moseying over to read Depali Desai's excellent overview at Celestial Space. Plus, Libra Seeking Balance provides valuable information if you're interested.

The June 8, 2013 New Moon is the seeding phase of activities that will come to fruition/fulfillment/culmination at the Full Moon of June 23, 2013 @2Cap09 (7:32 am edt), a day when Luna is quite active so it will be a busy day for most people. Her aspects after perfection are a sextile to Saturn in Scorpio (11:58 am edt), a sextile to Neptune in Pisces (12:28 pm edt), a conjunction with powerful Pluto in Capricorn (8:37 pm edt), and she rounds out her daily tasks by squaring radical Uranus in Mars-ruled Aries (11:27 pm edt.)

As you can tell, Lady Luna sprinkles fertile moon beams over the Water Trine between Saturn and Neptune, then goes on to alert the difficult Cardinal Square energies between Uranus and Pluto...which does not sound to me like a very quiet weekend at all.

Update Mar 31, 2013: thanks to a with-it reader, it's been noted that Wednesday's Libra Full Moon is a perfect descriptor of the week's SCOTUS arguments (Mars) on Marriage (Libra) Equality. What a great observation! Should we include Uranus transiting me-first Aries to denote equality?

Original post begins here, sans marriage references (except for '7th house of Partnerships') even though any full moon may describe relationship issues! And of course, Libra is the sign of Justice's Scales of Balance...

Here you see the horoscope of March 27, 2013's Full Moon at 6Libra52, in 7th house of Partnerships and Open Enemies when the chart is set for Washington DC (Capitol Building):

And of course, we think of the 'new pope' conclave going on this week at the Vatican but I have chosen not to blog about crisis-plagued cardinals who brought their challenges upon themselves through lack of purity. Expecting the Vatican to go forward with pure morals is like expecting right wing GOPers to find a conscience, though you may disagree if you like.

Rising after Neptune are Mercury @9Pis34, priestly healer Chiron @11Pis05, Venus @6Ari32 conjunct the Full Moon's Sun, Uranus @8Ari23, and testy Mars @11Ari42--a full house. As you know, Full Moon phases are about relationships and partnerships, awareness (of relationship dynamics and other things), and possible stalemates, a condition the US government has decided to use against We the People.

So not only is the Saturn-Pluto-Jupiter YOD of crises, special tasks, and turning points back within orb (Jupiter @11Gem06 conjunct IC 11Gem20), we find that another YOD is found in the horoscope, or two YODs is we use catalyst Uranus which will close the gap soon as it nears 11Aries (and hits the Full Moon's Mars which may result in high emotions and disruption relating to matters influenced by the March 27th Full Moon.

At YOD's base: a sextile with austere Saturn @10Sco25 Rx posited in the 8th house of Shared Finances, Corporations, Debt, Credit, etc; Saturn's partner in the sextile--and in a mutual reception of friendliness--is Pluto @11Cap30 in 11th house of Groups, Associations, Wishes and Hopes. And visions of austerity where the wealthy are made wealthier, according to Sen. Paul Ryan who again must be reminded that he and his party lost on November 6, 2012. He's tooting the same austerity-for-the-masses horn with his 'budget plan' even though a majority of the American people said No! to his plan on Election Day 2012.

As you see from the Ascending sign and degree--27AQ24--America's natal Moon rises, aka, We the People, and our needs are 'coming up' along with the social program funds (taxes) we paid for years--and pay still, keeping our end of the bargain--which is under threat of being heisted by Washington politicians for the benefit of wealthy one-percenters who prefer their masses standing in long soup lines, too weak and encumbered to shake pitchforks at castle windows.

Issuing from the March 27, 2013 Full Moon horoscope:

Yes, any time there's a Moon rising, it represents unstable conditions with fluctuations and changes afoot. Now let's look at the applying aspects of chart-ruler Saturn and co-ruler Uranus which are in aspect with each other:

Saturn inconjunct Uranus (2A02) indicates problems with priorities and obligations--clearly! A Saturn-Uranus inconjunct (aka, quincunx) was in effect on Election Day 2012 but austere, restricting Saturn was Direct--and the Republican Party's budget ideas were rejected, another Saturnian word. And of course, contracting Saturn is one of the two societal planets, the other being expansive Jupiter, with the tension between them keeping our Solar System's planets in their courses.

A Saturn-Uranus inconjunct (150 degrees) denotes those who try to hold on to the past with all their might and as they desperately try to force old concepts into acceptance rather than new methods and ideas. Since I know this reminds us both of facets of the neanderthal-based Republican 'war on women', I won't mention it other than to mention it. Flexibility is the only cure! Yet Saturn-Uranus is a brittle combination of energies which may break before it bends.

Saturn then applies to a helpful trine (120 degr) with rising Neptune (6A21), an aspect denoting those with enormous responsibilities and which can bring about positive changes in society. This is a willing 'helping hand', in fact, and bodes well if those who wish to obstruct improvement and investment in our society can be somehow pushed out of the way--which is exactly what a majority of us called ourselves doing when we re-elected President Barack Obama in November 2012.

And since a Saturn-Neptune trine relates closely to writers and journalists, I believe we're seeing some effect of the trine when reporters and TV talking heads question more fully the assertions made by interviewees like Paul Ryan. The Media could really help things improve by holding to account politicians and others who spout odd theories and mathematical formulas which do not 'add up'.

Dec 30, 1999's Great Conjunction of Plutocracy's Pluto and Chiron @11Sag

At MC (The Goal Point of any horoscope) is 11Sag20 and the good news is that the Public Sector 10th house is ruled by Jupiter which now moves Direct (since Jan 30, 2013) so financial matters may proceed. Banker Jupiter will soon be out of orb from its conjunction to US natal Uranus 8Gem55 which takes our natal Uranus away from apexhood in the Saturn-Pluto YOD pattern and its midpoint picture I love to hate for we now suffer under its draconian birth pangs:

Saturn-Pluto = n Uranus: brutal efforts to start a new order; an attack, regardless of potential losses. Add Jupiter at apex and we have potentials for: adoption of the austere; trouble with authority; staying out of trouble; trying to save what's left.

Now that's pretty much what the Washington Political Theater is scamming us with at the moment, and have done for decades (taking over America is certain actors' long-term project), or, as some would say, for centuries.

One more thing about the Saturn-Pluto-Jupiter YOD--the Saturn-Pluto midpoint falls at MC in the Mar ch 27th Full Moon chart which denotes: hard hard work to rise from difficulty; major separation as a last resort.

The additional YODs are formed by the Mars-Jupiter sextile which points toward an 8th house Saturn in secretive, spying, business-loving Scorpio so we get a fortunate pair of energies in stress with Mr. Status Quo:

Mars-Jupiter = Saturn: pulling in one's sails; having to toe the line; struggling with impulse.

If we allow for Direct Uranus to enter the scene (and knowing that the disruptive planet of rebellion and anarchy has been within orb of this YOD before) we have:

Planetary Aspects of March 27th's Libra Full Moon

As you see, the March 27th Full Moon in Libra, sign of balance, justice, partnerships, and war, causes lunar fluctuations in relationships while making a few applying aspects. Here's a list of the Full Moon's 5 aspects in order of occurrence with the Luna's natural sign, Cancer, on both the (risk-taking) 5th cusp and the (work-military-health-daily rounds) 6th cusp:

1. Moon opposite Uranus (1A31) indicates emotional and mental stress for The People as many decisions must be made. Resolution can be found but a feeling of being crushed is evident.

2. Moon inconjunct Mercury (2A41) shows more stress (inconjuncts = difficult adjustments) showing emotions (Moon) and intellect (Mercury) interfering with one another; reasonable evaluations are impossible if feelings enter logical thinking, and reactions may be out of all proportion with the truth.

3. Moon trine Jupiter (4A14) with Jupiter conjunct the 4th house's cusp relates to domestic matters, home, and security. Is Jupiter playing his role as guardian angel? Well, we need several if we can get them! And of course, the Real Estate market is said to be improving and we may hear more of this under the rays of the March 27th Full Moon in Venus-ruled Libra--including lawsuits against fraud-committing mortgage lenders. Yet the facts of the cases may remain unclear with Mercury in confused, often deceptive, Pisces. Still, their trine indicates some amount of happiness, good fortune, generosity, and/or glad news especially for those of good character.

4. Moon square Pluto (4A38) is a fly in our improving ointment for it denotes difficulty letting go of the past, plus, blockage (square) from wealthy, stealthy Pluto, manipulator and controller of The Underworld, toward the populace and our reigning needs (Moon) which causes us apprehension, anxiety, and heavy burdens.

Note: dontcha 'love' politicians? They embezzle, misspend, and waste America's financial resources, make huge profits off our hard work, then stick We the People with all their bills, plus, their own fat paychecks.

5. Moon opposite Mars (4A49) indicates opposition from radical reformers and activists (Mars-Uranus) of the 25--35 year-old generation, give or take a year or two. Some politicians, their staffers, and reporters are in this age category though loose canon shooters may be as well, as is the NRA (Mars = weaponry and those who use it.) A Moon-Mars opposition tends to bring crises, criticism, and resentments, with 'hitting back' in anger a definite possibility. Aggression and lack of patience may be noted which lead to quarrels, debates, and emotional outbursts.

So that last aspect is basically Luna joining in with the ongoing generational Uranus-Pluto square in which we again deal with issues we thought were settled by legislation in the 1960s when they last met three times in Great Conjunction at 17 Virgo, a critical-crisis degree. But also remember please to keep your eye on the wormy infestation eating at the core of the US government as it purposefully and willfully creates havoc and chaos in our lives while enriching the wealthy at our expense.

2013 Energies and 113th Congress = Sun Cap--Moon Virgo

2013 Opens with Earth-Fire Energies and a 113th Congress with Practical Possibilities

With the January 3rd swearing in of the 113th Congress of the United States, we find its signature Sun-Moon blend to be Sun Cap-Moon Virgo, a practical Earth-Earth combo of energies which gives me a tad of hope that this particular gaggle of lawmakers (with obstructionists continuing their heel-yapping aimed at government shutdown and other mischiefs) will make serious efforts to treat our nation and the American people (such as Hurricane Sandy victims--and all women) better than did the non-productive 112th Congress.

And yet the Uranian anarchists who've wormed their rotten way into Congress (and joined the new world order shills and agents already there) don't cause me to think that the US government is dysfunctional or broken--though they're trying. But their outrageous behavior and obstructionist antics do cause me to think that traitors to America and American sovereignty should be expelled from government asap.

Year 2013 Imprinted with Sun Cap-Moon Leo Energies

Sep 29, 2012 Aries Full Moon conjunct Uranus Rx!

In about 20 minutes edt, the Full Moon perfects @7Ari22 after sailing past Uranus Rx @6Ari31. Crackling excitement is always in the air with a Moon-Uranus contact and since this is a Full Moon, the opposition of quirky, surprising Uranus to the Sun makes for willfulness and provocative circumstances.

Leo New Moon August 17, 2012 Culminates on August 31

Are you ready for this Friday's New Moon? Today we are in the Balsamic phase between Sun and Moon, the 'Dark of the Moon' when secrets skulk in the shadows and things go bump in the you-know-what. Will more hidden information slink out of the shadows in campaign ads for President Obama and VP Biden and/or Mitt Romney and his VP pick, Paul Ryan? Yes, the whining is really underway and isn't it typical that bullies whine the loudest when the tables are turned on them?

Well, in Political Astrology, we may say that the August 17, 2012 New Moon @25Leo opposes US natal Moon in Aquarius (we-the-people) so there are potentials for relationship stand-offs and/or a sense of awareness for our week's end in America, plus a new cycle beginning--'seeds planted'--which New Moons always time and which culminate in a Full Moon two weeks later--this time on August 31, 2012 @8Pis34 (9:58 am edt.) This Full Moon and its degree concern me for it triggers America's natal Ceres (and our corn and other crops are already dried up from drought) which conjoins the US natal Pluto/Chiron midpoint of Plutocracy, oppression, disenfranchisement, primal violence, and all the nasty -isms that intend to do harm to the masses while lifting up wealthy powermongers.

You'll note that the August 31 Full Moon manifests one day after RNC 2012 in Tampa, Florida closes (Aug 27--30), which this astrologer considers close enough to be a 'cosmic bookend' or culmination to the 2012 Republican Convention.

Or, since we're talking about the Moon which rules Water sign Cancer, perhaps at or around the New Moon it will begin to rain! Plus, in his The 360 Degrees of the Zodiac, Adriano Carelli has a word picture for 25Leo:

In 2011, I mentioned on this blog that Mitt Romney enters a Balsamic Sun-Moon phase by progression on September 22, 2012, just in time for the November 6, election/s. As you know, Balsamic phases are the dark of the Moon, just prior to a New Moon whether by transit (real time) or progression (moving the natal chart ahead approximately one degree per year of life to gain hints about one's evolutionary progress and 'time of life'.)

The Balsamic phase of the Moon often relates to 'taking over where another has left off' and/or may bring endings, partings, and separations. Natally, this phase describes one who is born with a prophetic streak (ex: George Orwell) but here we're talking about progressions. Now if you follow the link above, you'll find some info on Romney's Secondary Progressions and his Natal Chart data with the correct birth time--9:51 am, though some of my earlier posts here about Mr. Romney do not have his birth time (which Astrodatabank provides, as I discovered later on, for SO'W is quite gray around the muzzle, you know!

Therefore, today's post is an update due to the fact that November 6th is upon us, and I had not fully considered in 2011, as Romney entered the presidential race (again!), that the November 6, 2012 election/s will be affected by the November 13, 2012 Solar Eclipse in Scorpio with its 'joy through commitment; taking on responsibilities' theme (Brady's Predictive Astrology.) My point is that I'd taken Romney's SP Balsamic phase as inauspicious for starting a new presidency when it could also describe a 'taking over' of duties when another (President Obama?) could not, for some reason, carry on. I don't want to believe it, but there it is.

Yet when endeavors are begun under the influence of a Balsamic Lunar phase, they often do not last the duration or end suddenly which may indicate a presidency of less than four years if Romney wins (or, 'wins' if the election is skewed and marred as in November 2000 with voting Mercury moving retrograde on Election Day 2012 as in 2000. And you know what miseries that wrought for America. Say, one of the Romney sons isn't named Chad by any chance, is he?)

Another consideration is what Secondary Progressed Lunar phase has President Obama reached in life? Well, he's on the downside of a SP Full Moon which was exact on November 6, 2011 (precisely a year before this year's election!) @1Ari10 which conjoins US natal IC (The End of the Matter; The Foundation) in America's natal chart (July 4, 1776 5:10 pm LMT Phildelphia, PA.) This degree was recently transited by radical Uranus and conjoins the Aries Point of fame, recognition, and prominence of course, but this may not be enough cosmic fuel to garner Mr. Obama a 2012 election victory though the 'light' of his SP Full Moon certainly hasn't faded completely (his Disseminating phase begins March 13, 2015.) And 2012's election outcome may depend almost entirely on how successful GOP dirty tricks against him turn out to be.

Will the American people succumb to a vulture capitalist as CEO-president? For a different outcome, a landslide for Mr. Obama will be necessary, sans dancing horse...so leave your sofa on November 6th and it will be there when you return.

Meanwhile, candidate Romney, who seems to be in possession of the greater campaign chest of gold and rubies, has a boost from the Sabian Symbol of the degree at which his SP Moon enters the Balsamic phase which may possibly be supported by the theme of the November 13, 2012 Solar Eclipse occurring within the two-week time frame of influence upon the 2012 election/s. His SP Balsamic Moon degree (10Ari24), rounded up is:

'11 Aries' = "The President of the Country" which I confess chills my soul with its "1% president" implications that intend to gut our social safety net programs to the bone in order to gift even more Corporate Welfare to those who have no need of it--plus, the degree's word picture has a negative/shadow side connotation for something which Romney seems to me to possess in great Jupiterian abundance: vain pretense.

Now, a la Ann Romney, that's all You People need to know about my concerns that Mitt Romney and clan will take all the cake. And being greedy, they'll gobble up all the crumbs, too.

Below is the horoscope of the New Moon @26Can54 on July 19, 2012 at 12:24:02 am edt Capitol Building Washington DC. It's a Saturn Hour with a couple of Cardinal T-Square patterns formed between a conflict-ridden Mars-Uranus opposition and powerful manipulator Pluto 7Cap46 Rx in 9th house (when the chart is set for DC), and Saturn/ASC pointing toward the Sun and Moon in 4th H of Home, Homeland, and Real Estate.

(Cardinality means that events are likely to occur if at least three factors support them.)

Perhaps the potential manifestations contained within the chart's midpoint pictures (from the T-Squares and other midpoints) will yield information about the new cycle of activity timed by this New Moon in Cancer, sign of home, nurturing, security, and business matters.

The pictures are listed below the horoscope image (with interpretations by Noel Tyl); any, all, or none may apply. Do you know that the May 5, 2012 Full Moon is called "Wesak" and as such celebrates Buddha's birth and enlightenment? For more info, please allow expert astrologer Dipali Desai to fill you in on that and more concerning the May 5 Full Moon which happens to manifest on Cinco de Mayo.

Plus, the May Full Moon falling in early Spring makes it the Flower Moon of 2012 so this lunation is simply full of meaning on many levels, isn't it?

One level is within the realm of Political Astrology and when the lunation horoscope is set for Washington DC, we find controlling Saturn 24Lib40 Rx (the Old Man, Task Bringer, Lesson Teacher, and the planet I often use to signify the Democratic Party which is older than the Republican Party though both their natal horoscopes contain Saturnian themes and traits, of course--and sometimes they switch roles between Jupiter's expansion and Saturn's restriction. In a phrase (politically speaking), checks and balances, the way the US government was meant to work.)

Now with Midheaven indicating the WHY? Point of any chart (or, 'The Goal'), we may expect issues of control, restriction, and delay to predominate, and for the Democratic Party to continue to be under attack by the GOP during this Campaign 2012 year. And of course, the May 5 Full Moon is the culmination-fulfillment stage of something begun at the last New Moon two weeks ago (April 21, 2012 @ 1Tau35, 3:18 am edt in DC, with NN '5Sag' at MC, and mid-Aquarius rising.)

Jupiter and Pluto Met Secretly and Schmoozed Over Big Fat Plans

Pluto entered Capricorn only weeks after the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto on December 11, 2007 @ 28Sag24 as the plutocrat-banker-wheeler-dealer duo met for a champaign toast on the very afternoon of a regular meeting of the Federal Reserve Bank of America--and within mintues of Fedhead Ben Bernanke walking to the microphone and delivering their royalist message to an in-process-of-being-heisted-from American people. Recession in the US began in December 2007 and times when the systemic cracks and fraudster robberies could no longer be kept hidden from the public with the full force of Jupiter-Pluto exploding in December 2008 near the very end of the Bush presidency.

Do you know I remain in a major snit of miffdom over their Big Heist? Because I do. Their historial bubble-bust pattern is clear. Yet if President Obama had done a lot more for Main Street and for struggling homeowners, I'd feel quite differently even though Politics is only Theater, dahlink, meant for public consumption, with the real deals happening behind the shadowy curtain. Actually, the June 5-6, 2012 Venus Transit may time a similar scenario when unusual or unsuspected alliances are formed or re-committed to--or are broken off. Watch for 'musical chairs' among national leaders as the Summer season nears--and odd or strange happenings with little if any explanation given for them.

So! Saturn as the May 5 Full Moon's chart-ruler does make one major applying aspect in the horoscope, a trine with evaluating Venus 22Gem21, in 6th house (DC) and conjoining US natal Mars, a time when desires are enhanced.

Tomorrow morning at 10:37 am edt, a New Moon reaches perfection @ 2Ari22, and its 3 twos emphasize the principle of '2'--others, partnerships, money, dualism, and so on.

Checking the Sabian Symbols for both '2Ari' and '3Ari', let's see what themes this new cycle may entail over the next two weeks until the Full Moon brings fulfillment of something begun, or the blossoming of seeds planted, in the dark of tomorrow's New Moon especially since first zodiacal sign, Aries, is all about new starts, and the principle of I AM.

Actually, the principle is much like The Fool card in the Tarot deck as he takes a first step on a mysterious journey with its green for new growth and vistas implications. Now I can think of many fools infesting Washington DC politics at the moment, can't you? Wish they'd take a first step out of town and leave decent folk alone.

*The Solar Eclipse of May 20, 2012 looks dificult enough with its progandistic, obsessive Mercury/Pluto content (and conjoining Fixed Star Alcyone's 'something to cry about' which also has a wet weather connotation, or even 'disrupted Internet and/or Power Grid' implications) but the November 28 SE may be even more fraught with difficulties--plus, it's the Pre-Natal Eclipse of the much-touted Winter Solstice 2012 (horoscope displayed is set for DC and shows Jupiter Rx under stress.)

The November Eclipse degree itself is at apex (focal point) of a YOD (crisis; Finger of God pattern in the horoscope indicating paradoxical and/or dire situations which demand attention and correct action.

How often do you suppose correct action is taken by Washington politicians in spite of what it may mean for re-election goals and power-grabbing purposes? Seldom if ever? Yeah, that's what I thought, too.

Mercury Rx affects astro-blogger!

Wishing for tech assistance for my new office set-up has so far proven futile, dear reader, with Mercury, ruler of this blogger's natal horoscope and 10th-house ruler, turned retrograde. Annoyance and frustration are 'in the air' so to speak, and there's no telling when yon wireless service provider will knock upon the door--but first, he must re-ply to his voice mail re-questing assistance!

Will his efforts need to be re-done once accomplished? That re-mains to be seen. Usually, periods of Mercury Rx only affect me in superficial ways if at all (even with natal Mercury in Capricorn direct) but of course, it's been years since I've experienced such an abundance of change in my life--with change being of the province of Mutable Mercury as well.

The usual (Water-Air = mist) Sun Cancer-Moon Aquarius blend that describes our national personality came three days later for it's a Saturn-ruled Capricorn Moon of ambition denoted in the syzygy horoscope. And naturally, our Syzygy Moon signifies a moment of real-world transits as our nation was being invented and the Declaration of Independence was in process of being debated.

Besides, re-viewing is an appropriate activity for us all during Mercury Rx periods, plus, transiting Pluto (The Transformer; the Dragon Guarding the Riches) nears our nation's Syzygy Moon degree and has crept within orb of it already. Pluto will perfect or create a midpoint picture quite soon, one which I think we're already feeling...

Happy President's Day!

On Tuesday, February 21, 2012, a new cycle of activity and projects begins with a New Moon @ 3Pis42 in 7th house of Partnerships and Open Enemies when the horoscope is set for Washington DC. Perfecting on Tuesday at 5:34 pm est, one of the Royal Stars of Persia, Regulus 00Vir01 (success if revenge is avoided) rises, ASC 00Vir01.

At The Goal or WHY? Point of the chart (MC 25Tau12) are two stars associated with the Middle East (Capulus and Algol: rage!) so perhaps a new phase of action concerning US occupations in the region will be on display (MC) or is to be announced.

It's a Moon Hour, suitable for changes, fluctuations, and concerns of our daily lives, and chart-ruler Mercury 14Pis29 (7th H) conjoins another Fixed Star, Achernar, indicating a potential for crisis, particularly at the 'end of the river', or relating to liquids.


Mercury-Mars Tells the New Moon Tale

Mercury applies to only one aspect with another planet in the chart--Mars 17Vir47 Rx (at critical or crisis degree); Mercury rules 1st H as noted, 2nd H (cusp 23Vir41 which is conjoined by US natal Neptune and President Obama's natal Mars 22Vir35) showing some confusion, deception, or over promising in the area of Money (2/8 axis with Venus 15Ari56 inconjunct Mars---adjustments needed in Venusian evaluations v Mars reactions with Mars Rx)--and a crisis-degreed 11th H--cusp 29Gem42 showing stress in Groups and Associations.

An unaspected Uranus 2Ari45 is also posited in 7th H and once again conjoins asteroid Hermes (magician-trickster) so we may 'expect the unexpected' during the next two weeks with possibly a culmination or fulfillment at the next Full Moon.

Obviously the unaspected condition of disruptive, quirky planet Uranus means that anything may happen--early, late, or never--and this can be positive or negative. I think of the lady skier who survived the avalanche disaster--she pulled the cord on a new-fangled airbag and it saved her life--Uranus advances new-fangled technology and by its Sky rulership, relates to Air--my warm congratulations to her!

Since a chart-ruler's applying aspects tell us how things will proceed, I'm calling the Mercury-Mars opposition (3A19) across the 1/7 axis the main driver of this New Moon even though it is ruled by Jupiter and co-ruled by Neptune (the speculator-wastrel-grand schemes pair--and with Neptune in its sign of Pisces @ 00:42, what are the chances We the People are being shined on once again in economic matters? ("1 Pis" = "A Public Market", the symbol for America's Pre-Natal Eclipse degree 00Pi33; this gives a potential Sun/Moon = Neptune picture of deception, delusions, discontent, mistakes, misunderstandings, shared suffering, and/or undermined relationships for the US.)


Jupiter and Pluto's Last Exact Trine March 9

Of course, the Big Banking-Fed combo of Jupiter 5Tau38 (in the Jolly One's own house of Philosophy and Education) and Pluto 8Cap58 (in 5th H of Risk-Taking, Gambling, and Children) are trining one another helpfully so opportunities abound for finances, perhaps in banking and almost assuredly in campaign funding. However, as ruler of Sagittarius, Jupiter rules the 5th H at a critical-crisis 29th degree (29Sag42--'30Sag' = "The Pope Blessing the Faithful"--and Pluto in one guise = "The Pope" so any 2012 candidates of the Catholic persuasion come to mind.)

Oppositions always denote relationship and/or awareness issues; thinking Mercury opposing action-taking Mars (still Rx, so the planet of conflict is reacting and reviewing Mercurial plans more than acting at the moment) indicates restless impatience, mental superiority that may cause others to feel threatened, and a tendency to quarrel when compromise would achieve more positive results for everyone involved.

However, there will be others provoking confrontations and conflicts, lots of criticism, and a lack of popularity that issues from such cantankerous behavior. If Mars Rx can refuse to argue (Mr. Obama's Mars Return still in progress with its third and last conjunction June 18, 2012), then things can be resolved especially since there is much mental acuity and, when made steadier by maturity, an ability to listen to others before making or acting on decisions.

(We'll see the results of what's under consideration now once Mars turns Direct and begins moving forward--often with an unexpected or surprising burst of Martian energy. Mars' Direct Station @ 3Vir41 occurs on April 13, 2012 at 11:52 pm edt--opposite this New Moon.)

So! Don't draw conclusions until all sides of an issue have been expressed or considered, and try 'playing dumb' under the Mercury-Mars opposition; diplomacy is a must since burning bridges with others is stupid for their cooperation may be needed later--and watch how one 'says things', too--what good advice for all 2012 candidates--and for opinionated, dissenting-American bloggers like me!
